I just remembered the funniest and zaniest interaction i experienced back in 2014. 😂

I was deep in the dc fandom back then. My old blog back then consisted of several reblogged Tim Drake fanarts and other fanfics i had reblogged. But, whenever I came across someone who hated him, I would always just block them.

Boy, was I surprised when I suddenly got an anonymous ask, asking me why I blocked them.

I let that ask sit in my inbox for weeks. Then, presumably, the same person sent about 5 other asks. Innit, they rambled how "all" Tim Drake fans were so sensitive to people criticizing him. Then they both insulted me and accused me of being another characters hater (I literally can't remember who. Could've been any of the other robins), and how I had basic taste. 😂

I never answered that either because a friend of mine saw it, laughed, and deleted them for me.

To this day, I don't know why they took me blocking them as a personal insult.

I still find behavior like that incredibly weird. Like, i hope you got a hobby eventually, babes.

so obviously katniss is speaking more generally and this has nothing to do with my beloved d2 kids, however because I'm me I will obviously now yap about my beloved d2 kids.

anyways i feel those other partner pairs in that it's extremely awkward to interact with someone back home you barely know who has to die for you to live, however with cato and clove i see it as their intentional choice of how they interact, out of their desire to develop that toughness and strength of character that they want to project to the rest of the Capitol. in the movies, that single look followed by them being stoic and expressionless contributed very well to the warrior image that reflects well on district two as intended. i also appreciate the fact that the glance itself is in fact an "acknowledgement" as katniss calls it.

the other Tributes most likely feel awkward and the person standing beside them is a stranger, and i believe this is possibly true for clato as well, but i also think it's a purposeful way to shield themselves and put up a guard. they did a wonderful job of it - the priority is presenting themselves as tough unfeeling warriors, because that's who the Capitol came to see and those are the people who win the hunger games!! i assume with d2 all the way in the front in the chariot lineup katniss didn't have a chance - or reason - to observe them, but when she did get an opportunity to observe a closeup interaction between cato and clove it's when she is at her weakest point, on the verge of death, and he is on his knees pleading with her to not die. this is a huge shift!! from "standing stiffly apart, never touching or acknowledging each other, as if their fellow tribute did not exist." and the Feast scene turns that all around because in the time between these two events, Cato and Clove grew to deeply care for each other, growing past their initial indifference at the chariot rides of abandoning a pretense or both <3 anyways because katniss was never going to be able to fill in those blanks that's what excellent fic is for.

thinking about the word choice in tonight's episode. buck saying he doesn't have to sleep with every person he has feelings with v he doesn't have feelings for every person he sleeps with. and who has he not slept with? and who DID he sleep with in that episode?

the idea that buck has not said once, in that entire episode, "i am not in love with eddie." but rather, it's "he's straight. that's my straight best friend" and now UNRELIABLE it sounds because you have his own SISTER being like "yeah... no... i don't believe it"

so i'm glad they went this route. i think if it was an immediate realization it wouldn't hit quite the same. but i feel like buck's actions are pretty fucking clear. you don't just move into your best friends house after they move away so they can go get their son. you don't try to sabotage their ability to sell their house. you don't look at them with such devastation and heartbreak as they drive away. you don't have your whole life centered around ONE PERSON to the point where you don't even have friends with anyone else (but he's a loser so ya know JPWAOFJAEWF) eddie has been all he's talked about SINCE he moved? that's insanity.

he may not have said it, but he is operating and acting out every ounce of love he has for eddie that he hasn't realized yet and it's making me DIZZZYYYYY

CHICAGO - Governor JB Pritzker released the following statement concerning the tragic aviation crash that occurred in Washington, D.C. last night:

"MK and I are keeping the families and friends of the victims of the American Airlines Flight 5342 tragedy in our thoughts and prayers. We are also sending our gratitude to the first responders who rushed to the scene last night and remain on the ground providing assistance. Moments like this are where it’s important we come together as Americans and offer our support.

Over 1,200 flights depart each day from Chicago’s Midway and O’Hare Airports alone. The thousands of people who fly in and out Illinois every day deserve to travel without fear of preventable disaster and danger. I have been in contact with Illinois aviation officials and our safety processes remain strong and consistent.

The Trump Administration must respond to this tragedy with information and facts to instill confidence in our nation’s aviation safety, which is squarely managed by the federal government. Air travel has been safe and without major incident for decades, and I want to ensure Illinoisans and all Americans that they can continue to feel confidence in the aviation industry. I urge the Trump Administration to cooperate with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) as they conduct an independent, thorough, and swift investigation.

The Trump Administration must answer critical questions that are in the interest of the American public:
