Do you have a rough idea on when you might post the next part of the stargazers au?
I'm hoping to get it done by next week. But realistically, I'm getting behind on my other irl commitments so even that is uncertain. Still, the next part is VERY important for my AU, thus, even now it's under constant editing. But I assure you, it's being made! According to my list, "Meet The Magnes" is next and some of it are key information for my world building. So if you enjoy lore and that kind of stuff, please look forward to it and thank you again for all your patience so far! 🙏🙏🙏✨

Humiliating the Cop
The University Officer at my college is always riding my ass for "bullying." Apparently some wimps went crying to him after I teased them around. Now he's constantly watching me. The dude needs to chill, and I'm gonna make him!
Tumblr media
All it'll take is a confrontation with my handy hypnotic pendant. One look at the gem dripping down my neck and his mind will be ripe the picking!
"Yo, Officer!" I call his attention and march right up to the goody-two-shoes. He looks just as high-and-mighty as ever.
"Something going on?" he gives me a disapproving glare, "You causing trouble again?"
"Wouldn't dream of it, big guy," I pull the pendant out of my shirt, "Just wanted to show my favorite piggy something."
He grimaces and opens his mouth, but before he can deliver his comeback, his eyes catch sight of the glowing jewel on my neck. The tension in his body relaxes while his jaw drops open. He looks like a brain dead idiot, but that just means he's ready for some instructions.
I start to explain his new job to him. Things are going to be different around here. This cop's not going to be the high-and-mighty enforcer of justice he used to be, and there's nothing he can do but nod his head dumbly and agree!
Tumblr media
A week later I catch sight of the cop carrying a bucket of soapy water down the hall. Some nerd I'm intimidating squeals for his help.
The officer just shakes his head, "Sorry, I'm busy right now. I have to go scrub graffiti off a stall in the men's room."
"That's my art, piggy. You like what I spray painted in there?" I chuckle.
"Oh, it was very well done," he answered quickly, searching my eyes for approval, "I didn't realize it was yours, sir. I'll just leave it alone."
The dweeb I have pinned against the wall is dumbfounded and asks again for some help before I interrupt, "Jesus, tell this kid to just shut up and hand over his lunch."
The cop nods and turns a stern face to my victim, "Son, be quiet and give him what he wants, now."
After handing over his packed meal, the student scurries away. I obviously had the officer wrapped around my mean finger. I used him to help me bully a few other kids throughout the rest of the week. I even had him vandalize the principal's car for me, but I wanted him to fall a little further from grace..
Tumblr media
Most of the cafeteria snickered quietly behind the officer's back. I put him in another trance that morning, telling him that his new responsibilities as campus security was to "Mop up the messes before anyone else can."
He spent all day running around the hallways with a mop and bucket. During lunch, I knocked the food out of everyone's hands and enjoyed watching him crawl behind as he struggled to keep up with each new mess.
By the end of the day, a few of the more outgoing football jocks had joined in on teasing the man.
"Yo, officer," the athlete chuckled, as he poured a soda out onto the floor.
"Yes, sir?"
I have him calling everyone 'sir,' now. He's basically lower than everyone on the totem pole now. Even still, I thought he could drop lower...
Tumblr media
After a quick discussion with the police chief, I had him fired from the department. Don't worry though! I got him a job as a janitor at the school. He works for free, but at least he's got something to do all day.
Using the hypnotic pendant, I essentially took over his life. I had the police chief hire me in the cop's place. I moved into the man's lovely home, and acquainted myself with his beautiful wife. After, introducing her to my glowing necklace, she quickly realized that I was a million times better than her disgusting husband.
He still sees her every once in awhile when he comes over to clean the place, but he's not allowed to speak to women anymore. She only talks to him when she's criticizing his janitorial capabilities, anyway.
I've got to say that I'm a much better officer than that annoying prick ever was. At least, I have a lot more fun using the uniform than he ever did. Call me sadistic, but I'm still thinking of ways to bring the guy down a peg...

You know what. I'm petty.
"...Shinichi, you haven't spoken in a while," Ran noticed. She had also noticed he had stopped smiling awhile ago too.
Shinichi looked up from his drink, a simple coffee with some sugar and cream, and gave Ran one of those half-hearted smiles that one usually gives to another when they're upset but they don't want the person to pry.
"I've got nothing to talk about," he answered, as blunt and brutal with his words as always, "Not anything you want to listen to, anyway."
Ran was about to open her mouth to protest but the words died in her throat. It wasn't long ago she had told Shinichi to shut up about Holmes and she hadn't been too kind about it either, screaming it in front of a crowd of people. She remembered how some people had snickered at them. And how Shinichi had stopped talking soon after.
She took the time to study his expression and found she didn't like what she saw. Shinichi was looking out the window, his eyes tracing the people who walked past. They would sometimes light up in interesting and his mouth would part like he was about to share what he had seen, but he would quickly close it as a shadow of dejection shaded his features and he went back to his silent activity.
Ran's chest twisted with painful sadness. She had caused this.
"Shinichi..." she whispered, her voice hesitant and fragile, "About earlier-"
"It's fine." Shinichi quickly interrupted. He turned to Ran and gave her another one of those sad smiles, "I should have noticed you weren't interested and stopped sooner instead of speaking your ears off-"
"It's not!" She snapped and instantly regretted it because that same look, the one she had seen from him earlier when she had shouted at him that resembled a wounded animal, once again graced Shinichi's face and she hated it.
"It's not," she said in a much calmer tone, "I upset you and I'm sorry."
Shinichi looked like he didn't know how to respond and it made Ran wonder how often he was told to shut up when he was sharing what he liked with others. How often she had told him to do so.
"You weren't interested," Shinichi repeated, a fake laugh in his tone, "I don't blame you for telling me to shut up, many people-" he cut himself off and looked away.
"I'm sorry, Shinichi," Ran repeated because she knew he needed to hear it, "I might not be as interested in Holmes as you are but that doesn't mean I can't listen to you talk about him, if that's what makes you happy."
It hurt. It hurt so much to see how confused he looked at hearing her say that. She wanted to kick herself. She wasn't particularly all that interested in listening to Sonoko talk about all the boys she's into and how she's going to get them to fall for her but she had never treated her like she does Shinichi. She knew Sonoko would be hurt by it if she did, and she always looked so happy to tell Ran her new ideas. How had she never realised Shinichi was the same? She's been a pretty bad friend to him, hasn't she. She needs to make it up to him.
"You like to people watch, don't you?" she asked, "So what can you tell me about that woman on the bench?"
Shinichi looked hesistant to speak his ideas so in encouragement, Ran did it first, "I think she's on a date! She keeps looking at her watch as if she's waiting for someone."
With another uncertain flicker in his eyes, Shinichi began to share his deduction, "I think she's a business woman. She's dressed too professionally for a date and it looks like she's got some folders in her bag-"
After a few rounds of deducing the lives of strangers, the forlorn look had faded from Shinichi's eyes, as did his earlier hesistance. She even got into the game herself, having fun noticing the things Shinichi missed due to their different perceptions, grinning at the compliments Shinichi gave her in return when she did. And as the sun set and they made their ways home, she thinks she understands Shinichi a little more than she had before, now that she was actually listening to him.
Tomorrow, she decided, she'll drag him to a martial arts tournament she's been planning to watch. Hopefully she can share more about herself with Shinichi too.

A/N: Hey y’all! Here’s another Phinks oneshot requested by one of my wattpad readers! My requests are always open, just keep in mind that it may take me awhile to get to them bc i’m working on sooo many fics rn. Anyway, hope you enjoy! <3
~~~~~
Warning: Sexual content
The mission was simple: break into the social club on the edge of town and steal the valuables that were said to be hidden in the safe. What the intel failed to mention was that the social club was a common hangout for the local mafia members. When the four of you broke in, you were completely swarmed. Of course, those grunts couldn't actually use nen, so it didn't pose much of a challenge, but a heads up still would have been nice.
   "What's wrong? Why are you holding back?" You asked Phinks as he snapped the neck of the last man in the most recent wave of enemies, dropping him into a heap on the ground.
   "Huh? Whachya mean, holding back?"
   "Oh sorry, I just thought you had to have some kind of intense power to be a part of the phantom troupe."
   You hadn't been with the troupe for long, so you hadn't gotten to see everyone's abilities, but you were very impressed with the few that you had seen. It made sense why they had the sort of reputation that they did.
   "The hell are you saying?"
   "Nothing, forget it. Let's just catch up with Shalnark and Feitan." The hallway ahead of you split into two paths. You weren't exactly sure which one led to the other spiders. "Uh, any idea where they went?"
   "I was a little busy when they ran off," he snapped.
   Why was he always so fucking defensive?
   "Alright, guess we'll have to split up to find them. You think you can handle yourself?"
   He rolled his eyes as he pushed past you. "Don't get too cocky, newbie."
   You both picked a hallway to follow. It became clear pretty quickly that you had chosen the right path. More blood and bodies covered the floor the further you went. Eventually, you found Feitan and Shalnark standing at the end of the hallway. Behind them was a large, metal door.
   "Oh, hey y/n!" Shalnark called when he saw you. "Perfect timing."
   "Where's Phinks?" Feitan asked impatiently.
   "He went down the other hallway to look for you guys."
   He gave an annoyed grunt as he pulled out his phone. "Will text him."
   "So, how's your first official mission going so far? You sure you still wanna be a troupe member?" Shalnark asked you.
   "It's not all that bad," you laughed. "I hadn't talked to Phinks much before this, though. What the hell is his problem?"
   "Good question," Feitan muttered as he read Phinks's immediate reply to his text.
   Shalnark laughed. "Aw, come on! Phinks is a great guy. He's just got a lot of. . ."
   "Anger issues?" Feitan offered.
   Shalnark shook his head. "No, that's not it."
   "Stupidity?"
   "Not that either."
   "Don't know what else it could be."
   Shalnark's eyes lit up. "Passion! Yeah, that's it."
   Feitan hummed, clearly thinking his answers were better.
   "We havin a party over here?" Phinks asked as he strolled up. "What the hell are you guys doing just standing around?"
   "Well, we were waiting for you to catch up," Shalnark explained.
   "Took you long enough," you teased.
   Phinks opened his mouth, likely to cuss you out for picking on him, but Shalnark cut him off.
   "So anyway, this door might give us a bit of trouble. I can try to hack the digital lock, unless you have any other ideas, Phinks?"
   Feitan snickered. "Really asking him?"
   Phinks reared on him. "Hey, listen here, you little runt, I'm as capable of coming up with solutions as anyone else!"
   "Whatever you say."
   "I don't need this," Phinks huffed before taking a few steps back. "Watch and learn."
   He activated his nen and charged at the door, preparing to throw his body into it. At the last second, it swung open, causing him to crash to the floor. You and Feitan couldn't help but laugh.
   "Whoops! Sorry, Phinks," Shalnark apologized. "I ended up being able to hack it after all."
   Phinks groaned, rolling onto his back. "It's fine, Shal. No harm done, right?"
   "Just to your ego," Feitan said. "Proved us right."
   "I dunno," you countered, "even I didn't think he could be that pathetic."
   He lifted his head to look at you. "You wanna quit talkin shit?"
   You shrugged. "I'm just being honest"
   He scoffed in response. "That's it." Phinks pushed himself off of the ground, dusting himself off. "Fei, Shal, you think you can handle the rest of this mission?"
   They both looked at each other, clearly confused. It was Shalnark who finally answered. "Uh, sure, yeah."
   With that, Phinks stormed over to you, picked you up, and threw you over his shoulder like it was nothing.
   "Hey!" You shrieked. "Put me down!"
   "Relax, will ya? You and I are just gonna go have a chat about this fucking attitude of yours."
   "I can walk just fine on my own, though! Shalnark, will you talk some sense into this brute?"
   Shalnark waved at you as you disappeared around the corner of the hallway. "See you guys later! Remember that spiders aren't allowed to kill each other!"
   You couldn't believe his response. The other two were really just letting Phinks carry you off to god-knows-where to bitch you out. Fucking traitors.
   Phinks found an empty room—some sort of storage room judging by the piles of boxes and shelves of junk—that he decided was private enough for him to say whatever was on his mind. He locked the door behind him so that no stray mafia members would interrupt and finally set you back on your feet. As soon as he did, you punched him in the shoulder.
   "Ow! What the hell is that for?!"
   "For treating me like a god damn rag doll!"
   You went to swing again, but he caught your fist and pinned you against the wall.
   "Will you calm the fuck down?"
   "No, you're acting like a dickhead."
   "Me? You're the one firing off all the snarky comments. Didn't anyone ever teach you any manners?"
   "Oh, you're right. I forgot i'm supposed to respect my elders," you spat. "Sorry, geezer."
   He gave a wry laugh. "You know, with the way you're acting, it seems like you might be trying to hide something."
   "Oh yeah? Like what?"
   He moved one of his hands from where it kept you pinned, tilting your head so that your eyes met. "I think you've got a little crush."
   It was your turn to laugh. "You can't be serious."
   A crush? Absolutely not. Sure, when you'd first seen Phinks you couldn't help but admire him—I mean, come on, his body was stupidly gorgeous—but your interest was quickly crushed by his personality. You hated men who thought they were god's gift to humanity.
   "Don't think I haven't noticed you staring at me back at the base." He smirked. "You want me, don't you? That's why you're being such a brat—it's just to get my attention."
   You scoffed. "God, you're so fucking cocky."
   "Be honest," he leaned closer so his lips nearly brushed your ear. "Does it make you want me even more?"
   His warm breath made you shiver. It didn't go unnoticed by Phinks, who started to chuckle before you pushed him away.
   "Knock it off!"
   "Why?" He asked. "Because you know i'm right?"
   "You're not," you insisted, trying to keep your pride in-tact.
   "Oh, come on, I felt the way you reacted when I was close to you." His finger traced your ear to emphasize his point.
   You smacked his hand away. "I'm not sure what you mean."
   "Right." He ran his thumb over your bottom lip, following the action with his eyes. "So you're telling me that if I tried to kiss you right now, you'd stop me?"
   "Why don't you find out?"
   He frowned. "Are you just looking for an excuse to hit me?"
   "I don't need an excuse."
   "Guess I might as well take my chances, then."
   He wrapped his fingers in your hair and pulled you to him so that your lips met.
   You didn't punch him. Hell, you didn't even try to push him away. Your eyes just fluttered shut as the world melted around you. What the hell was wrong with you?
   You opened your eyes again when the two of you broke apart. You'd be lying if you said that you were surprised by the smug look on his face.
   "Guess I was right."
   "No, you absolutely were not!" You denied, though your voice sounded incredibly shrill and unconvincing as it left your throat.
   He crossed his arms over his chest. "Then why'd you let me kiss you?"
   "Spiders don't fight."
   It was a pathetic excuse.
   "You would've been well within your rights to slap me if you wanted. I wouldn't have held it against you."
   "I didn't know."
   "Would it really have changed the way you reacted?"
   "It might've, yeah."
   Even you didn't believe it as you said it. Really, you knew that Phinks fully expected you to slap him when he'd kissed you. Things certainly would've been a whole lot easier if you had. Now you were left questioning yourself.
   His hand found its way back into your hair. "Well, here, i'll do it again so you have the chance."
   "No, don't do that!"
   "Why not? Because you're lying? Because you know you secretly want me to?"
   Your face was starting to feel impossibly hot. "That's not it at all!"
   "Oh, really? Then what is it? You're afraid of hurting me?"
   "I. . ."
   He laughed. He knew he'd won. "You had so much to say earlier. Where'd all that sass go?"
   You pursed your lips, glaring daggers at him. "Shut up."
   "You're cute when you act tough."
   "I'll kick your ass, you know."
   He brushed his thumb over your cheek, flashing you that gorgeous, crooked smile that you could barely stomach. "Oh, I'm sure you will."
   "Don't patronize me. I fucking mean it."
   "Mhmm."
   You frowned, feeling your annoyance battling it out with the sexual tension. You weren't sure which would win.
   Ultimately, it was Phinks who threw in te towel. He untangled his fingers from your hair and stepped away from you, moving to leave the room.
   You felt breathless without his touch, without having him so close to you.
   "Where the hell are you going?" You called after him.
   He turned back to you. "I figured we were done talking. I mean, you told me that my theory was wrong, so what more is there left to say?"
   He turned again to leave. You rushed forward, grabbing him by the shoulder and spinning him around. You'd been so ready to tell him off, to give him a piece of your mind, but as soon as your eyes met you froze.
   "What's this all about, huh?" he asked.
   "We don't. . . we don't have to say anything."
   "The hell do you mean by that?"
   You threw your arms around the back of his neck, pulling him into a kiss. He was caught off guard for a second, but then you felt him smile against you. He had won. He was right. Whatever.
   "So you do want me?" he teased, biting your bottom lip.
   You flipped the two of you around so that he was the one pinned up against the wall. "Please, you couldn't wait to get me alone."
   You pressed your mouth to his again, running your tongue over his bottom lip for him to grant you entrance. He dropped his jaw so that you could explore his mouth with your tongue. All the while you were working your fingers into his hair, pulling his head aside to expose his neck.
   When you sunk your teeth into his skin he let out a combination of a yelp and a moan. "Jesus christ, woman."
   "What?" You asked innocently, pressing a gentle kiss to the spot where you'd bitten him.
   He chuckled, tilting his head for you to keep going. "You just might be more than I bargained for."
   The corners of your mouth pricked up into a smirk. "I guarantee I am."
   You sucked a harsh bruise onto his neck as you unzipped his jacket, slowly pushing it off of his shoulders and letting it drop to the floor. You hadn't ever seen him without it, so you hadn't realized just how toned he really was. His muscles rippled under the loosely fitting material of his tank top. You could hardly peel your eyes away.
   "Wanna wipe up all that drool?" he teased.
   "Fuck off."
   "Nah, it's fine. You can admit you think i'm a dime."
   You wrapped your hand around his throat. "Would you shut the hell up?"
   His eyes went wide with excitement. "Yes ma'am."
   Your clothes flew off piece by piece amidst a montage of sloppy kisses and teeth grazing skin until he was sat back against a stack of crates with you straddling his lap. You gripped his shoulders as you slowly sank down on his cock, mouth agape and brows furrowed in a silent, pained moan at the feeling of him stretching you out. He felt even bigger than he'd looked.
   "You okay?" He asked, brushing your hair out of your face so he could look into your eyes as soon as your hips were resting on his.
   "Just fine," you assured him, though you were sure your face was betraying you.
   "So you'd be alright with me moving right now?" He shifted experimentally and you felt a surge of pain stemming from where the two of you were connected.
   Your hands shot to his chest to stop him. "Let me."
   You slowly raised your hips and lowered them back down on him, building up a rhythm to get yourself comfortable until you were all but bouncing on his dick. His hands held your ass, lazily guiding you up and down his shaft.
   He threw his head back in a moan. "You're so fucking hot. Shoulda done this sooner. Shoulda made a move the second I laid eyes on you."
   "I would've thought you were a jackass," you retorted.
   He gave a breathy laugh in response. "Does that mean you don't now?"
   "I'm not sure i'd say that."
   His mouth quirked into an amused smile before he pulled you into a kiss, hot and passionate and wild. When you broke apart he rested his forehead against yours, letting his hands run over your skin to soothe you.
   "Do you need me to hold back still?"
   You shook your head.
   "Then you might wanna brace yourself."
   He gripped your hips and started thrusting up into you. You buried your face into his neck, clawing at his back and tugging at his hair, trying to keep yourself grounded as he pounded into you relentlessly. He didn't slow until his tip rammed your cervix, causing you to squeal into his shoulder.
   He froze, pulling away so he could look at you. "Was that too much? Did I hurt you?"
   "I'm fine," you assured him.
   He rolled the two of you so that you were on your back. "I can slow it down for a sec," he said, rolling his hips so that he moved in long, slow strokes. With the angle he was at, he brushed all the right spots on each retreat. You were practically seeing stars.
   "God, Phinks," you breathed.
   "Yeah, babe? That feel good?"
   "Fuck, yes."
   Your hands snaked up his arms to pull him down into another kiss. Meanwhile, one of his hands moved between the two of you and settled on your clit. You gasped as his fingers started tracing circles against it and he used the opportunity to catch your bottom lip between his teeth.
   You arched against him, letting out a low whine. You appreciated how gentle he was trying to be with his slow thrusts, but it wasn't enough.
   "What is it, gorgeous?"
   "I want more."
   "More? You want me to be rough with you again?"
   "Please."
   He completely pulled out of you. The empty feeling left you ready to complain, but he cut you off when he grabbed you by the throat and said, "Get on your hands and knees."
   You quickly scrambled to do as he'd asked, nearly shaking with anticipation as he positioned himself behind you. You were expecting the sensation of his cock head teasing your entrance, but instead he landed a hard slap on your ass.
   "What the hell was that for?!" You yelped as he did it again.
   "You think you can act like a brat all night long without any consequences? You should've known you had this coming. You were practically begging for me to put you in your place."
   You didn't know how to react. You'd never had anyone treat you like that before. You were struggling to accept the fact that you kind of enjoyed it.
   He folded himself over your body so that he was speaking directly in your ear. "Now, you're gonna take every inch of me like the good little slut you are, got it?"
   You nodded, struggling to find words to respond to him.
   Once he got the go-ahead, he shoved your face down into the floor so that your back arched, making your ass stick up. He gave it one last slap before forcing the whole length of his cock into you at once.
   You cried out in pain, gritting your teeth as your walls accommodated his size.
   "You can take it," he said, pressing a kiss to your neck. "Can't you?"
   "Yes,” you whimpered.
   "Good girl.”
   His words caused a new heat to build between your legs. "Please," you begged, "fuck me."
   "Whatever you want, princess."
   He pulled back his hips and slammed them into you again, repeating the action over and over until he was was hammering into you even faster than before. You could feel that familiar coil of pleasure building once more, threatening to snap. As if Phinks could sense it, he dropped a hand down to give attention to your clit again.
   "Come for me, babe. I know you're close." He nipped at your ear. "I wanna feel you come on my cock. I wanna ride you through it until you're all fucked out. Let go for me."
   You did, letting your orgasm wash over you, carrying all of the tension in your body with it until you practically melted into Phinks. It was pure bliss.
  He groaned as he felt your walls clench around him and grabbed your hips, using them as handlebars to help him chase his own release. Within moments, you felt him stutter and a warmth spread through you, letting you know that he'd finished as well.
   Once the fog had cleared a bit from his head, he pulled out of you and rolled onto the floor, laying on his back. You collapsed beside him and watched his chest rise and fall heavily as he caught his breath.
   "You gonna be alright?" You asked. "I know senior citizens are at a higher risk for heart attacks if they overexert themselves."
   He wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you into him, tilting your chin up and slipping his thumb between your lips.
   "You sure do like to mouth off. Maybe next time we'll have to put this to better use."
   You spat his thumb out. "Next time? You've got the wrong idea. This was just a one-off thing."
   He gave a hearty chuckle, like what you said had genuinely amused him. "Sure it was, babe. Whatever you say."
Can't Look Away from You {Mafiafell Papyrus x Reader}
He looked at you like you were the sun, in that he tried to avoid looking at you as much as possible. When you were there, frustration laced any action of his. Although, he complained when you weren't. On days you secluded from others, he looked for you. On days when you were vocal, he avoided you. He never took a good look until you left, wondering why he never noticed your beauty before.
Yes, you were beautiful. But you were beautiful in the way a forest fire is beautiful. Enticing in the sense to lure unfortunate people to certain pain if they got too close. Pain was dangerous. It caused weakness.
Weakness gets you killed.
Papyrus sat in the kitchen. The paper was spread out in front of him. He paid no mind to it, his matters were more concerning than the dramatizations written by people hopeful for fame. Papyrus couldn't say he blamed them, he too had his heart set on his own glories. He took to not paying mind to human affairs for the most part. His mind was preoccupied with other things to pay mind to them anyways. Wingding's had been cooped up in his office, absorbed in his plans. It wasn't unusual, though he had recently taken it to the extreme. Sans and Papyrus had a silent agreement not to pester him. Papyrus was generally louder and Wingdings was used to it. Even still, fights with their older brother were unwelcome between the two younger ones. Sans had been out as well. Wingdings regularly told the him to deal with meetings with clientele. This kept Sans out of the house for hours. It had never been this long, so Papyrus would be found in the kitchen awaiting his older brother's arrival. Hours gone by and there was no sign of him. Papyrus wondered if the humans had been harsher negotiators. It wouldn't have been the first time the three brothers had to deal with unpleasant people to say the least. Sans did have a longer temper than his brothers. As much as Papyrus hated to admit it, this reason was why he had been forbidden from dealing with those unpleasant humans. Papyrus began to think his patient brother had snapped, the previous annoyances of the past few weeks has been building up for some time...
Before he could finish his thought, Sans had bustled into the kitchen. The two brothers made eye contact. Papyrus motioned to the empty chair across from him. Sans sat down but refused to say anything.
"YOU'RE HOME LATE." Sans looked up to meet his brother's gaze.
"yeah, well, not all humans are eager t'ah make business with monsters," he replied, shrugging.
"BUT IT WENT WELL?" Papyrus leaned forward, hoping to get some answers out of his brother.
"yeah." Sans turned away before mumbling, "in more ways than one."
"WHAT WAS THAT?"
"ehhh nothing?" Papyrus shook his head. This was not nothing.
"YOU'RE LYING," he said flatly, "TELL ME." Sans fidgeted with his hat for a minute.
"aright, fine, as long as you don't tell wingdings. this secret could put my credibility on the line."
"WELL IT WOULD IF YOU HAD CREDIBILITY TO BEGIN WITH," Papyrus taunted. He had to cough to cover up a laugh. Sans crossed his arms and glared at his brother.
"real funny bro," Sans replied, a sardonic edge to his voice.
"WHETHER YOUR CREDIT EXISTS OR NOT IS IRRELEVANT BUT YES, I'LL KEEP YOUR SECRET." Papyrus waited for his brother to start, intrigued on what this dastardly secret could be.
"soo you remember that lady we met awhile a go? the bar singer?" Papyrus smacked his forehead. This couldn't be good.
"SANS DON'T TELL ME—"
"you wanted to know so let me finish," his brother interjected, "so i know it sounds bad—"
"IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE."
"shuddup. anyways i know it sounds bad, but it's not."
"NO. IT IS," Papyrus responded matter-of-factly. Sans rolled his eyelights. "WHY EXACTLY DO YOU NOT WANT WINGDINGS TO KNOW."
"because i don't need him nagging me about what is and is not business." Sans threw up his hands in exasperation while also adding, "i got you for that." Papyrus ignored the snide remark. The next one caught his attention.
"plus i'm not the the only one who's had someone catch their eye." Papyrus immediately stiffened.
"WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" Sans's permanent grin widened. He gave Papyrus a look that seemed to mean they both knew who they were talking about. It all fell into place. He turned away quickly from disbelief.
Now it was Sans's turn to tease.
"aye don't feel bad bro. the truth was gonna come out eventually."
"THERE IS NO TRUTH BECAUSE YOU ARE WRONG," Papyrus retorted. He refused to look at his brother.
Sans had not been wrong but Papyrus would not admit it no matter what was said or done to him.
"ANYWAYS, IT'S LATE. IF WE TRY ARGUE ABOUT THIS NOW, WINGDINGS WILL HAVE US BOTH IN JARS." Sans shrugged at trudged off to his room. Papyrus was about to do the same.
Then, something stopped him.
Was it possible Sans was right? The thought made him feel sick even with the lack of a stomach. It ate at him. If it was like his brother said, that the truth was bound to come out, should he tell them? No. He couldn't. He couldn't keep his temper with clientele, how did he expect to do that with a partner? Brushing it off, he went to his room.
The night dragged on. The morning continued that as well. Papyrus went about the city as he would. Nothing had changed overnight. Bruised and broken people struggling to get by, sometimes to the point of violence showed that it was still going to be a mess. It wasn't changing anytime soon. Clouds darkened from overhead. Gusts of wind breathed chills throughout the barren city. Though crowded, it was a lifeless city. Silence was only broken by screams and gunshots. The world had plumaged to an eternal eclipse.
At least Papyrus had one light.
He had only seen you twice. Once in front of a market. Another time passing by on the street. He never saw you after that, only in quick glances when he is certain you weren't watching.
Even still, the small times he did see you brought large feelings. Feelings that would get him killed if he acted upon them.
That didn't stop him from trying.
There was no need to deny it, Sans would not say anything as much as he hated keeping promises. There was a change in Papyrus's demeanor if he was around you. You took notice very quickly.
You couldn't label as a friend or enemy, mostly a reoccurring passerby. There was something different about him though. Although he kept his loud tone, he attempted to mellow himself out, especially if you started looking uncomfortable. You wondered if it was because he was trying to be considerate but there were doubts. Not because he was a monster. The world was a not a trusting place, it didn't matter the species of the deceiver. You brushed it off, thinking it was an attempt of courtesy and went about your day.
He didn't leave your head.
There wasn't much you could think of when if came to Papyrus. He was loud and enthusiastic. Pasta was something he had strong opinions on. Other than that, not much could be said. His brother was around the city more often. You did take into account the strange change in tone around you. He quieted down slightly. His eyes would shift over to you occasionally. You had met his gaze before, to which he would promptly turn his head to act as if he was doing something else. Not much changed for the past few weeks. You tried to turn for his brother for answers but nothing came of it. He simply shrugged and went back to his cigar. Papyrus fanned away the crimson smoke emitting from his brother's cigar with words of exasperation.
You had met the brothers in strange places, but this party took the cake. The room was lit up golden. People were crowded in tables around the dancefloor. Couples twirled around you. People shared drinks. You hadn't expected them to be there but you didn't expect yourself to go anyways. There was no reason for you to judge. The routine had prevailed. Papyrus continued to glance your way. You wondered what exactly he wanted. He never directly said nor did anything towards you. You met his gaze once more. Papyrus opened his mouth, about to say something, then thought again and turned away from you. You tilted your head, confused. A singer stepped onto the stage. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Sans's face lighting up. She said some words to the crowd and began her songs while a man played piano next to her. You sat to the side with your drink of choice in hand. You kept your eye on Papyrus. It was strange how he acted around you. You wondered if he wanted something but didn't want to say it. It struck you as odd because Papyrus did not seem the type to get nervous easily. Still, you did not think it was your place to ask. He hadn't done anything to you so there was no way to predict his motives were harmful. You sat alone in your thoughts when someone had tapped on the chair next to you. Looking up you were met with Papyrus's face.
"MAY I?" Papyrus looked at you, awaiting your response. You shrugged. Taking it as a yes, he slid the chair back and sat down. You sat in silence for a while. The party continued, but you were in your separate world. You didn't mind. Though better than a fight, it had been a dull event. You gazed back at Papyrus. His face seemed to match your thoughts. He was present but his mind was elsewhere. His eyesockets fixated on you.
"Is something wrong?" You turned around to face him directly. He snapped back to reality and looked at you.
"NO, NO. THERE'S NOTHING. I WAS JUST IN MY HEAD." He paused for a moment. "I DIDN'T MEAN TO STARE, I WAS JUST THINKING."
"It's fine. This wouldn't be the first time you got into your own head when I'm around you." It was meant to be playful. You didn't expect him to turn away in shame.
"HOW MUCH OF THAT DID YOU SEE," he inquired. You shrugged. He sank in his chair with a groan.
"WELL I MIGHT AS WELL BE UPFRONT." Resisting the urge to leave, he leaned forward. You tilted your head.
"About what?" Papyrus reached for your hand.
"I DONT KNOW WHY BUT MY FEELINGS ARE OUR OF CONTROL AROUND YOU. IF YOU'RE HERE, I WANT TO LEAVE. IF YOU'RE NOT, I WANT TO LOOK FOR YOU. NOTHING MAKES SENSE AND I FIND MYSELF BEING PULLED AROUND LIKE A PUPPET OVER YOUR AFFECTIONS," he admitted.
"So you fell in love?"
"NO!" Coughing, he corrected himself. "MAYBE I DID, BUT I CAN'T."
"Why not?"
"I'M A MONSTER, YOU KNOW. I'M ONE OF THE DANGEROUS ONES." He slipped his hand away. You took it back. Papyrus sat rigid.
"You're not always dangerous." He rolled his eyelights.
"I'M DANGEROUS ENOUGH," he countered. You shook your head. "DON'T LOOK AT ME SO! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'VE DONE!"
"I don't need to know what you've done. I need to know what you are going to do," you replied. His skull seemed to flush. Shaking his head, he changed back to his typical confident demeanor.
"I WAS WONDERING IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DANCE. WITH ME." Papyrus looked at you, slipping between confidence and hopeful uncertainty. You let him take your hand.
"YOU'RE SURE?" Rolling your eyes you turned around to face him.
"Yes. Trust me."
There was no going back. You danced as if the world did not exist. Papyrus couldn't look away from you. He couldn't when you stopped either. No matter what happened, his attention would be to you, always.
Sticky Situation.
Author’s note- Hola my ghouls, gremlins, and goblins alike. Back with another one shot cause I read this fic awhile back where Eddie gets gum stuck in his hair and Chrissy helps him get it out and the reader gets jealous and I haven’t been able to find it since but it made me want to write this.
Warnings- uh none just pretty fluffy :)
Summary- Eddie gets gum stuck in his hair and you help him out. 1.5k words
You took your time driving over to Eddie’s trailer today. You went everyday after school and usually he’d just give you a ride but today you had to run some errands and just told Eddie you’d meet him at his trailer. You were in no rush as you let Metallica play in the background and you were determined to hear Ride the Lightning all the way through.
As you pulled up to the trailer park you slowly cruised your way till you got to Eddie’s trailer and you parked next to his van. You sat in the car until the song was done playing and then you shut it off and made your way up to the trailer door using the spare key Eddie and Wayne had given to you to let yourself In.
As you let yourself in you noticed the unusual heavy silence of the trailer. You began walking towards Eddie’s room and then you stopped in your tracks as you heard sniffles and crying coming from the bathroom. You walked closer and saw the door open and from what you could see in the reflection of the mirror was Eddie standing there crying as he looked at his reflection and held up the electric razor as he hesitated to start shaving his head.
You quickly made your way to stand in front of the entrance to the bathroom.
“Eddie what the hell are you doing!”
Eddie jumps at the sound of your voice not having heard you come in. He looks at you eyes heavy with tears. He doesn’t answer you verbally. He just turns around and shows you instead. The back of his hair filled with sticky gum in large quantities.
“Oh Ed’s. What happened baby?”
He sniffled and sat down on the lid of the toilet.
“I was in O’Donnels trying to fucking pay attention for once and Jason and his goons were busy throwing gum in my hair I guess. I can’t get it out so I have to shave it.”
You paused. Knowing how much Eddie’s hair meant to him and why he’d grown it out. After his mom died his dad had forced him to shave his head because his hair reminded him too much of Eddie’s mother. And when Eddie’s father finally went to prison Eddie vowed to never shave his head again.
Now you weren’t a professional hair stylist or anything but you knew your way around hair pretty well. You always cut and did your own hair and even dyed your own hair all the time. Now the only hard part would be getting Eddie to agree to let you touch his hair.
You walked towards him and grabbed the shaver out of his hand and put it on the counter. You then place your hands on his shoulders and he looks up at you with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen him give.
“Eddie, do you trust me?”
“Of course I trust you sweetheart.”
“Will you let me help you with your hair?”
He pauses for a moment. And then nods his head yes.
“Okay Eddie grab whatever you need and then we’ll go back to my house. I have hair supplies there that will help us. While you're at it grab some clothes we can have a sleepover and make a night of it. We’ll get snacks and watch some movies after I do your hair okay?”
He gives you a weak smile and goes to pack an overnight bag to bring to your house.
The entire car ride to your house is uncharacteristically quiet. You can tell Eddie is trying hard to trust you with his hair but he isn’t hopeful.
Once you get to your house you take Eddie to your room and get him situated in the chair in front of your desk. You go to the bathroom and grab your box of hair supplies and make your way back to him.
“Sweetheart, thank you for trying to do this for me. But if you can't, I understand you know.”
He sounded so melancholy. You walked up to him and cupped his face in your hands to make him look up at you.
“Eddie, I'm going to do my absolute best okay.”
He nodded his head and as you removed your hands from his face you pretended not to notice the kiss he left on the palm of your hand.
You began digging through your box of supplies and grabbed a comb, a brush, a small pair of scissors you were hoping not to use much, and oil.
“Eddie I’m gonna have to work the oil through your hair a bit to loosen up the gum and it may hurt a little bit as I tug on strands of your hair okay but I’ll be as gentle as I can.”
He gave you a whispered okay and so you began the tedious process of removing all the gum from his hair. He winced a few times when knots would appear or when you would try to remove the gum too soon.
There were a few strands that you had to snip but nothing noticeable. And as time went on Eddie began to relax against you and he even found himself enjoying the feeling of your fingers running through his hair. But then again Eddie pretty much enjoyed anytime you touched him.
He knew he didn’t allow anyone to ever touch his hair and today may be the first time he gave you permission but if you’d touched his hair before today he knows he would have let you.
It took a couple of hours but eventually you put the tools down on the table and clapped your hands together. Grabbing the small handheld mirror you hand it to Eddie with a smile.
“Well Ed’s. What do you think?”
He studies his hair in the reflection for a moment before the tears start to form in his eyes again.
“Oh. Oh no Ed’s I’m sorry did I ruin it? Did I do something wrong?”
He shakes his head no but stands up abruptly and before you know it he’s turned around and tackled you in a breath snatching hug. His face is tucked into the crook of your neck and his hands wrapped tightly around your waist. Holding you against him as he cried.
“Thank you sweets. Thank you so so much.” He whispered his appreciation in your ear. As you stood there with your arms wound around his neck. You began to stroke the back of his head and tell him it was okay and that you’d do it anytime.
When he pulled away he didn’t go far still holding you in his arms he looked in your eyes for a brief moment before he quickly bent down and captured your lips in a fleeting kiss. It was so unexpected you didn’t get the chance to properly kiss him back before he was pulling away
“Sorry sweets I just-well I wanted to do that for a really long time and and well you’ve been so nice to me today and I can’t thank you enough really I’m sorry-“
You stop his rambling by leaning up and giving him a proper kiss on the lips. It starts off gentle but you can’t help but deepen the kiss until you're both pulling away gasping for air.
“If I’d known getting gum out of your hair would finally get you to kiss me I’d have put gum in your hair myself ages ago.”
Both of you giggle at this and give each other another peck on the lips before you pull away.
You pack up all your hair supplies and Eddie changes into his pyjamas and goes to the kitchen to get the snacks you’d mentioned for movie night.
When you both reconvene in your room you’ve picked out a movie. When Eddie sees what’s playing he groans.
“Cmon sweets really? Grease? Again?”
“Hey mister I just spent the last god knows how many hours working gum out of your hair I think the least you could do is let me have Grease.”
“Okay Frenchy.”
“What?”
“Frenchy. Beauty school dropout.”
“I’d have to go to beauty school in the first place to be a dropout.”
“I think you should go to beauty school, sweets. Certainly got the talent for it.”
You blush at his words but say nothing. As you crawl in the bed next to him he’s not having it as you sit in your normal spot he wraps a hand around your waist and pulls you against him and you oblige by wrapping your arms around him and holding onto him like a koala. As the movie plays you begin to drift off as Eddie runs his fingers through your hair.
Finding Love Katakuri x Reader Part 5
"(Y/N)! Finally we meet!", Pudding, one of Katakuri's sisters came to her side and took her hands. Surprised (Y/N) smiled and nodded shyly.
"and so beautiful…Big brother treat your wife always good!", she spoke happily and only got a grumbling noise back from him.
"You too are very beautiful..", (Y/N) spoke and smiled brightly. Pudding's eyes widened and she blushed surprised.
"Thank you… That's very sweet of you to say."
Katakuri looked down to his wife to get her attention. "This is Pudding, one of my sisters. She couldn't attend our wedding, because of an important mission. I will go ahead to finish some business. Stay by her side. If you need me, Pudding will guide you to me.", he explained and left. Pudding watched her brother in awe, while (Y/N) could see sparkles in her eyes.
" My brother seems so overprotective. How sweet. I could see the dangerous glint in his eyes towards me to not mess this up… ", she spoke dreamingly. (Y/N) had to chuckle of her sweet and strange words and got her attention. Pudding took her hands and pulled her along into the castle.
" Come on (Y/N). Let's dress up for the party and have some talk."
Uneasy she followed the excited girl inside. She was here before, but didn't pay attention towards the sweet decorations of this beautiful castle. Back then, she was just focused about what will happen. It was like coming here for the first time.
" Isn't that Big brother Katakuri's wife?", a deep voice let them stop.
"Oh (Y/N) this is Cracker. One of our brothers. Don't be scared of him. He always looks so grumpy."
Shyly she greeted the man before her respectfully, who looked really scary with his armor.
"Out brother is a lucky guy.", he spoke and had a small talk with Pudding about something.
Flustered (Y/N) got pulled along again. They were walking awhile now through endless corridors, but sudden screams of agony let them stop abruptly.
"Who's that? It sounds really painful.", (Y/N) asked shocked, while Pudding didn't understand either.
"Hopefully Katakuri is okay.", (Y/N) mumbled out of the blue.
"I don't think it's Katakuri.. It would be more that he is the cause of making someone scream…", she spoke seriously but then she froze in the spot.
"Wait a moment", Pudding watched (Y/N) surprised.
"Oh my God so sweet. You are worried about him!? Then let's go and see him. And tell him!!!", she announced happily with hearts in her eyes. Pleading not to, (Y/N) got pulled along, red as a tomato.
Suddenly it was silent. Stopping before a door, Pudding gave (Y/N) a knowing smile that she was safe by her side and opened the door. (Y/N) knew how dangerous Katakuri was, but this sight before her let her gasp of shock. The smell of blood lingered in the air. Katakuri was standing in a puddle of blood, while the lifeless body of (Y/N) 's abuser laid before him. It was a terrifying sight and his look alone was making her step back out of instinct. Pudding tried to handle the situation and mostly her brother, who seemed more than pissed right now.
"Big brother…Kata.. Katakuri we are sorry. We heard screams and (Y/N) was worried about you… So I wanted to help her and look what's that about…", she stuttered and took (Y/N) 's hand for support.
He didn't say anything. He could see it in her eyes. She was terrified of him. Everybody was scared of him. That was the only image he was good at. Why would she be different? And how would she ever be able to love him with these fearful eyes? Plus, she didn't even see his face, which would have been the cherry on the top. The answer was clear to him. Never. "Get out of here.",frustrated he avoid her gaze who changed now to an worried one.
"Katakuri..i.", (Y/N) whispered sadly, but was interupted by an angry growl.
"Go. Damn it!!!", he shouted and Pudding quickly took her hand and left the room. (Y/N) could feel tears at the corner of her eyes and a stinging pain in her chest. Everything was going smoothly., but now she was thrown back to the start.
"Here is my room. Make yourself comfortable.", Pudding announced happily, but stopped after seeing the tears in (Y/N) 's eyes.
"(Y/N) - san … Don't be sad. I know he was acting scary right now…. Or is he treating you badly?", Pudding asked, while leading her to her bed to sit down. (Y/N) didn't know what to say. She felt so confused about her feelings towards this man. On one hand, he could be so calm and collected. Polite in every way, but then he acted so rudely and didn't give her a chance to speak with him. It was great to speak to another woman like Pudding, but at the same time she didn't know, if she really should say what was on her mind.
"Honestly I don't want to get punished for saying anything about him.", she confessed exhausted and was interupted by a sweet laugh of Pudding. "(Y/N)… What are you talking. You are a part of our family now. You won't get punished for telling me your worries. It's only Mama where you should watch your tongue. We siblings support each other and care for each other. You included.", she spoke while rubbing her back for comfort.
Sighing she gave his sister a smile and brushed her tears away.
" I was just shocked a bit. I am okay."
"Tell me (Y/N). You see, I was really happy to meet you. This tea party is about my political wedding with one of the Vinsmoke son's.", Pudding explained uneasy. Shocked (Y/N) was stuttering an apology to maybe scare her of the upcoming events.
"I am so sorry I didn't know. So you will marry someone you didn't know before as well?", she asked interested, that finally she was able to share her experience.
"Well I have to admit I know Sanji and I like him a lot. It's more the way around.. I think. He sure will be sad to be stuck with me forever …", saddened she watched the floor and shocked (Y/N) more with her words.
"What are you saying? You are a beautiful and kind hearted woman. I am really happy to have met you", (Y/N) showed her this breathtaking smile of hers, which even let Katakuri's heart soften. Pudding couldn't believe that her brother made her sad. Out of all people he should be so grateful to get a wife like her. Their mother didn't care of feelings. If she get married to an old man, she wouldn't care, even if it would destroy her life. Only power was important.
"Now I know how Sanji is feeling right now.", she spoke bitterly and watched the beautiful girl next to her. (Y/N) 's heart was breaking by this sight. She didn't know Sanji, but she hoped that he would treat her well.
"At first I was scared…", (Y/N) started to tell her and Pudding listened interested.
"To be pushed into a new life from one day to another wasn' t easy for me and to know that it would be powerful pirates, who threaten my parents to destroy my land, didn't make it better. The first time I saw him it scared the hell out of me.", she admitted carefully and made Pudding laugh. " He didn't show any emotions. I couldn't say, if he was a good man or a terrifying pirate. He was silent most of the time. And most of the time I am alone. It feels like I am locked away."
Pudding felt ashamed and sad that her family did that to (Y/N). She was about to say something, an apology or something to help her, but was stopped by a soft hand on hers with a kind smile.
" But… After some time I realized that he must be very lonely as well, while he is hard working for his mother and how difficult it must be for him too to be married to a stranger. So I decided to make a step and get to know him better. I tried hard really hard and I am still trying. On our way I got finally the chance to speak with him a bit and he was opening up and very polite and friendly… Collected.", (Y/N) spoke, while Pudding smiled warmly. The way (Y/N) spoke about her brother made her happy. She wished that Sanji would do the same.
" But then this incident happened and now I am clueless. ", she spoke and gave her a sympathic look. Excited Pudding jumped up from her bed and balled her fists motivated.
"Don't worry (Y/N). Let's look through my clothes. I will show my brother how lucky he should be.! He will be begging for forgiveness after seeing you! ", Pudding rampaged through her wardrobe, while (Y/N) got pale as a ghost. Gulping she knew that there was no way she could stop Pudding.
" oh dear… "
Hey, autumn! How are you? Just wanna say thank you for introducing me to soldier boy, cause fuck me the fics you reblogging are amazing and even though I’ve never seen the show you've given me a huge crush on him. Also, I'm planning on writing the soldier drabble soon and was wondering what ideas you have. I was thinking along the line of either a soldier that keeps a pretty housewife under lock and key as payment for his service or a solider looking after a politicians innocent daughter and he just can’t help himself. Anyway! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts and by the way I love your writing and look forward to the next one (no rush though!) love ya!
Sorry this took me more than a week to answer, I was busy with stuff.
I’m fine, how are you?
And no problem about those Soldier Boy fics, I was looking up yandere soldier x reader when I came across from him. I’ve seen him a round but never got into it, till that time. I was just Like “why not 🤷🏾‍♀️”. And I literally fell in love. And this was before I watched the show, and when I did watch the show, it was only the third season and almost skipped every scene until Soldier Boy showed up 😂, so no worries.
You should definitely do it! I really love the idea he takes in a politician’s sweet, innocent daughter as a gift of service and he keeps her locked in his house, like you said “under lock and key”. I can imagine the soldier being a traditional man, same with the reader. He is definitely the type in school to bother the girl he likes, intimidate and coerce her into a relationship with him. But in this case, she was gifted to him and he sure as hell keeping her till their last drawn breathe. He’s defiantly the grumpy, mean but means well type. It’ll take her awhile to understand him, like (one grunt = no, two grunts = yes). Would definitely prefer to have boys over girls, to have “someone carry his name”. Like they have a bunch of boys and that one girl, and he was disappointed that she wasn’t a boy, but she would literally become his pride and joy. His little princess. Like it’s her prom, and her date sits across from her father, as he watches the soldier nonchalantly take apart and clean his rifles.
Hoped you liked! Once again, sorry for taking long to answer, I always want to send you asks myself, but I always send them in when you’re busy when you’re not able to write a long intricate answer back, so I’ll be feeling bad 😭😭😭.
Leon's Nightmare 2, Part 3- Gifts come in all shapes.
Tw- Violence and gore. Demonic stuff happening. I'm disappointed by the horror aspects of Leon's nightmare 1 so I'm trying my best to improve it here. Wish me luck.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Drew frowns at the kids as they make a mess. "I hope your planning to clean that up" drew frowns as athena moves to him. She just grabs his arm and he can't help but suddenly feel cold. "Athena?" Drew asks. "What did you do?" She asks. "What?" "Why did you hurt him?! WHAT DID YOU DO!" Athena screeches. Drews head snaps towards Leon who's suddenly has multiple stab wounds forming. Drews eyes widen in fear as the skeleton blade appears. A long dark body hand with sharp nails appear holding it. Drews breathing picks up as another hand appears by Leon's neck, squeezing, causing the neck to beging to crack and crunch.
Drew stares at the dark eyes staring back at him over Leon's shoulder. A wicked grin and grey skin, long curly horns. That's when a cruel laugh leaves the creature.
Drew screams as he jolts forward, he gasps and glances around his bedroom. Empty. Empty bedroom. "Leon? Leon!" He yells as he climbs out of bed. He's quick to run downstairs. "Morning dad" athena smiles from the dining room where the kids are eating. "Wheres your father?" Drew asks, sounding breathless. "Uh the study I believe he's painting." Athena tries recalling. "Yeah, asked if I could leave so he could focus. Said he had a dream or something." Ophelia shrugs around a mouth of cereal.
Drew rushes into the study. It wasn't really a study anymore, more of a art studio. The kids all liked drawing in it but the only people who got proper use from it was Ophelia and Leon. He pushes the door open to see Leon sat at a canvas painting. "Leon" he sighs. "Hey baby, didn't wanna wake you but I couldn't help it. Needed to paint this thing I saw in a dream last night. Thought this might help get it off my mind." Leon explains. Drew walks over and his heart stops.
The demon from his nightmare. "Um what was your dream?" Drew asks. "Its weird. We just spent the day together as if it was normal. As if we were friends." Leon chuckles. Leon puts the brush down, turning on his stool to face Drew. "Im sorry I left the bed. I know I normally don't I just needed this baby." Leon hums placing his hands on drews hips. Drew frowns as he cups Leon's face. "Thats alright..baby.." Drew mutters. "I love you" Leon whispers resting his head against drews chest. "I love you too." Drew promises as he hugs Leon close. He feels deep in his gut that this might be the last time for awhile. Drew squeezes his eyes shut as tears build and just rubs his thumb against the back of Leon's head.
"I love you.. "
------------------------------------------------------------------
Sheamus watches drew as he laces his boots. "You alright man? You seem..off..." sheamus asks. "Just been a long few weeks. With Leon's seizure, pressure from hunter about the tag belts and don't even get me started on H and Caspians school reports" drew sighs standing up. "How has he been?" Sheamus asks. Drew frowns and looks at their mutual friend.
Before he can answer, Leon strolls in. "Hey baby" Leon smiles as he walks over. Sheamus frowns as Leon kisses drews cheek. "Im going to be late home tonight. I've gotta talk business with hunter." Leon states. "Okay" drew nods. "Ill let the kids know" drew adds. "Good. Good" Leon nods. He looks at sheamus. "Looking good man" Leon smiles at him before walking off.
Drew sighs. What is he to do? No one wants to listen. He phoned taker this morning and taker stated he took a look and Leon is fine. Kane even looked. Drew needs so- "that's not Leon." Sheamus suddenly speaks up. Drews head snaps towards him. "What did you just say?" Drew questions facing him fully. "Thats not Leon. Leon would never call you baby for one, he hates that nickname unless it's towards an actual child or small animal. He would never stay late to speak to hunter. He never did for vince. If they needed to speak to him, they had to do it during the show or speak to him the next day. And finally, he's never nice to me. He never compliments me because he believes it will fill my weird obsession with him, but you and I both know it makes me try harder to try get him to be nice." Sheamus rambles.
Drews eyes widen. "Thank you" drew whispers hugging sheamus. "Thank you Sheamus" he pulls back. "It was him last night. But now? Now I'm not too sure" drew admits. "Ministry?" Sheamus asks. "Thats the issue...ministry would know these things. Its how he managed to hide last time. We never knew because he knows how Leon thinks and act." Drew admits. "Oh god..something new? No..that..that can't be good." Sheamus groans. "No. No it can't." Drew mutters looking back at the door.
------
Drew watches as Leon pulls his jacket and vest off. Drews eyebrows raise as he notices Athenas Cross is gone.
He glances at sheamus who also has noticed it.
Yeah. This isnt Leon.
-----
Athena frowns as she walks into her bedroom. Her eyes immediately land on the cross dangling from her desk lamp. The cross that should be around her Papas neck.
She reaches forward and grabs it only for her breathe to be knocked out of her.
She gasps and stumbles back, her back hitting something..or someone.
She turns and stumbles back again at the sight.
"Its alright baby girl...I'm not here to hurt you" the raspy voice tries to soothe. Athena watches as the red haired woman kneels. Her skin burnt and ruined, but her hair? Her hair and her piercing green eyes are perfect. "W-who are you!" Athena barks holding out the cross. It doesn't do anything which throws her off. "Im Athena. Your great grandmother." She smiles. Athenas eyes widen. "Grandad takers mama?" Athena asks. "Yes sweetie. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to help you."
"Help me?"
"Help you."
"Help you save your Father."
------------------------------------------------------------------
Drew runs a hand over his face as he walks into the house. He pauses after the door shuts. For a house full of four children, it's awfully quiet. "Kids? Kids! I'm home!" Drew calls. "Shush!" Caspian barks from the kitchen. Drew furrows his brows as he walks towards the youngest. He stops in the doorway as he sees the kids sat around the table with candles, holding hands. Two of the kids holding hands to a empty space.
"What the hell?!" Drew barks flipping the lights on. The kids groan and protest at their dad. "We were trying to save papa! You've scared her off now!" Athena barks. "Im sorry what?!" Drew demands. "Great grandma! Athena can see her! She's like grandad taker, uncle kane and papa! She was helping us contact papa!" Ophelia explains as if it's obvious. Drews eyes widen.
No. No.
Athena was supposed to be normal. She wasn't supposed to be like Leon and taker.
Takers mother is like them?
Of course she is.
"Jesus" drew whispers. "You know that isn't papa! Why won't you help us?" Athena asks. "Its not that simple! That's why!" Drew snaps grabbing his phone. He pulls up takers number but pauses.
He glances at athena, she's staring at him with pleading eyes.
He quickly swaps to shawns number.
"Oh hey drew"
"Shawn..we have a problem. A purple problem."
"I know. I'm glad you finally called. I'll be over as soon as I can."
Drew looks at his phone as the man hangs up. "Of course. Can always rely on you Shawn." Drew whispers with a small smile. "Grandpa?" H asks. "Yeah-" "Grandpa sees things. He has done ever since he moved into the valley. Dad's also started seeing things since marrying papa. He believes there nightmares. There not." Athena explains to the youngers.
Drew pauses. How does she know that? "Grandma athena told me." Athena hums. Drew frowns. "Clean up kids. Grandpa is coming." Drew orders, moving to the table and blowing a candle out.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Humming of tip toes thru the tulips echos around the empty space.
The lost and conflicted man cups his hands around the back of his head, arms covering his ears. He rocks back and forth trying to block the stupid song out.
A cold hand cups the back of his neck. "You must not give up now. We cannot let him win. Not anymore. Not now." The glitchy voice states. "Why? Why should I trust you?" "Because he betrayed me. He tricked and betrayed me. Its time to stop hiding in the shadows. It's time for me to seek revenge.-" "to stop being his bitch?"
"Exactly. Now get up."
In a busy coffee shop Artem sits on the corner while seriously reading the file on his hand. He have been sitting here for an hour and he can’t seem to get a breakthrough.
Putting down the paper he caught a glance of the empty chair in front of him.
A faint smile spread across his lips, three years ago there was someone who sits there. A woman who always encourages him, the person who shows him whaat it means to loved and be loved in return.
A woman who have the brightest smile and the courage to face anything.
But three years ago that same person left him, it was still clear to him how they break up.
It was another late night for them, files scattered on the table of his office as they need to find the breakthrough to end this case. She sat across off him neither of them speak as they both focus reading the papers at hand.
he took a glance at her seeing the fatigue he decided to let her rest.
“I’ll sort this out, take a nap first your exhausted” He reaches out to grab her hand but she avoid it . Confusion washes over him, did he do something wrong.
A sigh left her lips before putting down the paper to meet his gaze, she smile faintly at him. This time it was her who grabbed his hand.
“Let’s Breakup” she said as if those words was so easy to say.
Artem look at her stunned
“You should take a rest first, let’s talk again later” He urges her but she doesn’t move an inch.
“I’m not breaking up with you cause I’m tired, I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. We’re always both busy. Case after case we barely even have time for a date. How many times we go out twice in a month.” Tears formed on the corner of her eyes
“ I always thought as long as I’m with you wether on work or outside it will be enough but it wasn’t. We’ve been dating for two years and barely nothing has changed, we a lot our time in our work and now I’m leaving the city to handle the new branch of the firm. How do you expect this relationship to work.”
Artem was left speechless, she always happy around him. Never once he saw a sign that she was dissatisfied with their relationship. But now she spilled it out everything like she’s holding it in for months.
“Why? Didn’t you tell me” Artem can’t look at her, he might crumble if he does.
“Nothing will change even if I did”
“How did you know, if you haven’t even try” He asks
She look up at him tears trickle down her cheeks “Cause we both put our work on top of our priority”
“I never did,” Artem pulled his hands away as he walk away from his office leaving her alone.
He was in a daze when a familiar voice called out his name. Looking up the person he was thinking about moments ago is now standing in front of him.
“Can I sit here? If only if you’re okay with it” She nervously asks, afraid that Artem might still hate her.
Artem smile at her and let her take the empty sit in front of him. Stifling silence hangs over them as neither of them speak.
“How have you been?” She asks breaking the awkward silence between them.
“I’m good, when did you return” He asks
“Last month” she answered
Then there’s this silence again, as their waiting for something. She look over the scenery outside the cafe, seeing people walking down the street Before looking back at him to say thee things she approached him for
“I’m sorry” She looked at him a faint smile spread across her lips.
“For what” Artem asks giving her a confused look.
“For leaving, for giving up on us and for breaking your heart” She let go of her breath that she kept holding on for the whole time.
Artem smiled at her
“Honestly even if you break my heart I couldn’t bring myself to hate you.” He confess
The words got caught in her throat how can this man be so good to her until now, she did regret breaking up with him. But it was way too late. She was about to speak when her phone suddenly rings.
Looking up the caller ID she quickly answered. She say a few more words before ending the call.
“Someone is waiting for me I need to go” She gave him an apologetic look “Thank you Artem” She smiled at him before she left in a hurry.
He followed her with his gaze
Outside the coffee shop he saw her hugging a man and showing him the smile that once belongs only to Artem. He look away as his chest tightens unable to continue watching the scene before him.
He can never unloved a person that once holds his heart, he might love her in some way but not the same as before.
He focus his tension back to his case when his phone rings, a smile plastered on his face as seeing the caller ID.
“Hello Love” he answered sweetly.
---
As she ride the car of her lover, she looked back and saw him talking to someone. Even if she can’t hear it, she still saw glimmer in his eyes that reflect his love for someone. It was once belong to hers but she broke his heart. A pained smile spread cross her lips.
“Are you okay?” Her lover asks
She look at him and nod before taking one last glance at Artem.
Goddamn, I love Bettie. She was in tonight for a while and her and I got to talking while I had a cigarette. I've known her and loved for years, but never really all that much about her. She'll forever be my favorite old lady. She always knows what movie is on my shirt, and that always makes me smile. I 99% of the shirts I actually wear are all horror movie related. I guess her daughter passed away, and I remind her of her. I don't care if I'm male at the moment, that made me happy. I knew Bettie always had a soft spot for me, and for the longest time I couldn't figure it out, but to know that's why she took to me back in the day is a heartwarming feelings. And she tipped me a ten for a ten dollar order. Privately. Which is awesome. She told me I can't use it for "boozing." I laughed and told her I was sober and we ended up talking about that for a bit. I would do just about anything for Bettie.
It was busy for the first hour or so, but slowed down to practically nothing for the last hour. Sherry was more scatter brained then normal. There was a couple moments tonight where I stepped into the soundproof void of the cooler and just screamed. I mean, she was following the tickets, but she was trying to slide into my side of the kitchen. Every once in awhile we get a shift like that and she just drives me nuts. I don't know if she thinks she's being helpful or what, but is far from it. I guess I shouldn't complain so much about it. All my whining does nothing but aggravate me more and I'm kind of sick of always being on the verge of anger. I swear my teeth are cracking from how often I clench my jaw.
My mom called me tonight while I was at work. To yell at me about two things I had no idea of anything about. I hate answering the phone at work, and usually won't answer, but I had a few seconds and every so often, she calls to check up on things. Basically, just aks about stuff around the house and other blah blah blah crap. And she checks up on my mental state. Just to make sure I'm going manic/hypomanic or into depression. She always tries to be subtle, but she never can quite pull it off. It's out of love, so I don't mind answering "Are you doing ok? Taking your meds?" a few times a month. I shouldn't have because she's on the warpath. Madder at my brother then she was with me, but I just got the brunt of it. Mainly cause Alex never answers his phone, and I happened to be next in line. The youngest brother is the golden child right now. My biggest issue with this is that My ex (The really awful abusive codependent horror story of a relationship. Funnily enough, it was also my longest one) used to call me constantly at work, and because of her I lost one job, and almost lost three others. And my mom knew that and knew how upsetting it was to constantly have negativity shoved in my ear, and then goes around and does exactly what my ex did. I hope it just didn't occur to her that I was at work.
Mid Dragon's World Chapter 7
Chapter 7: The Secret of the Closet
After we dropped Jericho off at his house, we headed straight for home. Alex and I said good night to Z’haer and Theian as they opened a portal and returned to the dragon realm. We opened the door and saw dad sitting at the kitchen table.
“Hey dad.” Alex said as we headed into the kitchen.
“So did you boys have fun on your little trip with Theian and Z’haer?” Dad asked as we sat down at the table.
“Eh. It was alright.” Alex said flatly. I guessed he was still upset that I made him show us his memories.
“Well I had fun. We didn’t get a lot of food but I did learn to use my powers. Thanks to them I was able to stop a bear that was gonna try to eat me and Jericho!” I said excitedly.
“Who?” Dad asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Jake’s new friend. He’s…a human.” Alex explained.
“Hmm…I see.” Said Dad, stroking his chin. “Well, if you say this boy’s your friend, then I’ll let you continue to see him. Just remember, Jakol: Don’t let your new friendship distract you from the task at hand.”
“Don’t worry dad. I won’t.” I smiled.
“Good.” Dad smiled back. “Now get to bed, you two. You’ve got a busy day tomorrow.”
“Okay.” So me and Alex left the kitchen and headed for our rooms. Shutting off all the lights, dad went into his room and shut the door so that only a crack of light was shining out.
As I took off my clothes and put on my pajamas, I could hear dad talking in his room. He did this a lot, ever since I could remember. Dad would open his closet door and he would talk to it, like someone was in there. For some strange reason he never let anyone go in his closet. Well, except Eig’nia. Sometimes when he spoke to whatever was in there, he’d say a name but I could never make out whose name it was. All I could ever make out was the first letter in the name: T.
Wanting to find out what dad was going to say, I opened my bedroom door a crack, then slowly opened it further. I tiptoed over to dad’s bedroom door and listened closely.
“Things are still getting underway…Yes…another one will be joining us soon, one of my Apprentices. Normally I wouldn’t do something like this but I can’t allow any risks. If he found out…No, best not to think about that right now. I know it’s taken a very long time but soon the preparations will be complete. I promise you, the world that you dreamed of will become a reality…Touraje.”
Touraje? Was that one of my dad’s friends? I remembered when I was younger, dad told me about a friend he had who wanted to make the human and dragon realms a better place. This friend wanted a world where humans, dragons, and half-dragons could all live together. Then something happened that caused his friend to die. Dad never told me what happened to his friend or even, until now, what his friend’s name was.
But then…if dad…was talking to Touraje…and he died…then did that mean that…what was in his closet was…Touraje’s body?! Just imagining dad talking to a dead person…dragon made me shiver all over. I hurried back into my room and jumped on my bed, quickly getting under the covers. I shut my eyes and tried to think of something, anything to push that image of a dead person’s body in the closet out of my head.  After awhile I fell asleep.
The next day, in the afternoon, me and Alex walked down the street to Jericho’s house.
“What!” Alex asked, not believing me.
“Sooo…let me see if I’ve got this right: you think that dad has been talking to a dead person, and you think he’s keeping the body in his closet?”
“Yeah. Pretty much.” I answered.
“Jake, I doubt there’s a dead guy in his closet. If there was, we’d know.” Said Alex.
“How?” I asked.
“Because dead people stink! That’s why they bury ‘em!” Alex explained.
“Makes sense I guess…” I shrugged unsurely.
We continued to Jericho’s house. It was only a few more blocks.
“So what are we doing?” Alex asked. “Dad’s going to get mad if he finds out we weren’t out doing what he told us to.”
“I know. That’s why I asked Theian to cover for us. Anyway, everyone’s out finding someplace to start with taking over the world and dad said he had to go to the dragon realm for something. So I think, while they’re gone, we sneak into dad’s bedroom and get a look at whatever he’s got in his closet.” I explained to Alex.
Alex sighed. He sounded like he didn’t think this would be a good idea. Maybe he was right. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea but I just had to know what dad was keeping in that closet that he didn’t want anyone seeing.
When we reached Jericho’s house, which was about thirteen blocks away from mine, I went up and knocked at the door. Alex hung out by the sidewalk. I stood there for a few seconds, then the door opened and there was Jericho, standing in the doorway.
“Hey, Jake!” Jericho greeted.
“Hey, man.” I greeted back to him.
Jericho asked if me and Alex would want to come in. I agreed to, although I didn’t know if Alex would want to. As I stepped inside, I saw Alex follow from behind.
Once we were in, Jericho shut the door and we followed him into the living room where he and his family were watching a movie.
“Mom, dad, this is my friend from school, Jake, and his brother Alex.” Jericho said, introducing us to his family.
“Hello.” I said, raising a hand. Jericho stood in the center of the living room and introduced us to his family.
“Well you already know my twin sister Cassie. This is my older brother Brendan. He’s seventeen.”
“Hey guys.” Brendan smiled. He was a tall, athletic looking guy. He had dark brown hair and wore a light blue shirt with a darker blue pair of shorts. Below his lip was a darker brown mustache that made him look a little bit older than he really was.
“Hey.” I replied back.
“This is my little sister Elizabeth. She’s five.”
“Hi.” The little girl said in a shy voice. Like her older siblings, Elizabeth also had dark brown hair. She wore a bright pink shirt with a white unicorn in the center and a small pair of blue jeans. Her hair was tied into two pigtails in the back of her head.
“Hi there.” I said, smiling at her.
“And last but not least…my mom and dad!”
Jericho’s parents looked a bit older. His mom had a few noticeable wrinkles but she also looked really nice. The same was with Jericho’s dad. He wore a pair of glasses and also had some noticeable wrinkles.
Jericho’s mom and dad stood up and came over to us.
“It’s nice to meet you boys.” Jericho’s mom said, shaking our hands.
“So you’re the boy my son and daughter keep talking about. They tell me you’re a half…what was it?” Jericho’s dad said.
“A half-dragon, dad.” Jericho answered.
“Ah yes. A half-dragon. Now, what is that exactly?” Jericho’s dad asked me.
To answer his question, I turned around, inhaled deeply and closed my eyes. Alex asked me in a surprised tone what I was doing but I assured him it was okay and that we could trust them. I felt my wings rip through my shirt and my tail make its way out of my shorts. As soon as I was done changing, I turned around and looked at Jericho and his family. Everyone aside from him and Cassie looked surprised. They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Jericho’s brother, Brendan was about to talk but couldn’t find the right words.
“Well…that’s something.” He finally managed to say.
I urged Alex to show them his half-dragon form too. He sighed reluctantly. Not saying anything else, he did the same as I did: He turned around and changed into his half-dragon form. When he turned back to face them, he and I saw the shocked faces of Jericho’s family grew even more shocked.
There was a long silence as they tried to think of what to say. Then finally, Jericho’s mom spoke.
“So…those wings and tails…they’re…they’re real?” She asked, not knowing what else to say.
“Yeah. Me and Alex are half human and half dragon. We don’t normally show our half-dragon forms around humans.” I explained.
“Well I think that’s cool!” Elizabeth jumped up, grinning. “Can you fly?”
“Yeah. A bit. My wings aren’t that strong yet.” I replied.
“Do you two have any powers?” Asked Brendan.
“Yep. I can breathe and control fire and Alex can turn into a humanoid dragon.” I continued to explain to them.
Jericho’s family continued throwing question after question after question at me, making it hard for me to answer all of them. Every couple questions was followed by a comment about how cool they thought we were for being half-dragons and Elizabeth even stated she wished she could be part dragon. I felt a little nervous having so many people admiring me. I looked back at Alex, wondering how he was taking it. He was looking away, towards the door and although it was hard to make out, I could see it perfectly. Alex was smiling! It was a small smile but it was still a smile. I smiled back at him. It made me feel happy to see Alex happy.
I changed back into my human form, Alex doing the same. I asked Jericho if we should get going.
“Hang on a minute! I gotta get something from my room!” Jericho ran to his room. A few minutes later he returned holding a folded piece of paper. I wondered what it was but didn’t get the chance to ask him as we rushed out the door.
“Jericho!” His mom called to him. “Be home no later than five!”
“I will mom!” Jericho responded.
As we started on our way to my house, Jericho handed the folded paper to Alex.
“Here, Alex. This is for you.” Jericho said, giving Alex the paper.
“What is this?” Alex asked, looking at the paper that was still neatly folded.
“Open it.” Jericho insisted.
Alex stopped to unfold the paper. Once it had been unfolded, we saw what it was: a drawing. The drawing was of me, Alex, and Jericho with Theian and Z’haer. The five of us were together in the woods as we sat around a campfire. Strangely enough, the sky was colored a light blue, making it look more like it was morning or the afternoon rather than nighttime.
“Did you make this Jericho?” I asked.
“Yeah. I wanted to make something to try and cheer Alex up so I drew us in the woods.” Jericho explained.
“This is really good. I didn’t know you could draw.” I said, smiling at the picture.
“I draw sometimes.” Jericho replied.
Alex stood there, just looking at the picture. I didn’t think he knew what to say. After all, I didn’t think he’d ever gotten a present like that from a human before. I wondered what he was thinking.
He pulled away from Jericho’s drawing and looked at him. He slowly opened his mouth and it sounded like he was about to say something.
“Th…thanks.” Alex said, sounding surprised.
Jericho smiled at Alex. “No problem man! I hope it made you feel a little better.”
“Ye…yeah, it did.” Said Alex, folding the paper up again and putting it in his pocket.
We continued on our way back to my house. Once we were halfway there, Alex reached into his pocket and pulled out Jericho’s drawing. He looked at it while he walked.
“So hey…” Jericho said suddenly. “What are we doing?”
Alex folded the drawing up again and slipped it back into his pocket. “Jake thinks that our dad is keeping a dead body in his closet.” He explained.
“WHAT!” Jericho shivered. “Does…does he?”
“I don’t know.” I answered. “But every night for as long as I can remember, he would open his closet and talk to it. Something’s in there and I wanna know what it is. I mean, whatever’s in there’s gotta be important if he doesn’t let anyone look inside, right?”
“Or maybe he doesn’t want people going in his closet because it’s his. Besides, Jake, we’re supposed to be on a mission. I’m telling you, Dad’s gonna be pissed if he finds out we weren’t.” Alex said, sounding huffy.
“Don’t worry.” I smiled. “Remember, I got Theian to cover for us. We’ll be okay.”
Alex rolled his eyes and slapped his palm over his forehead, the bottom part of his hand covering his left eye.
After going down a couple more streets, we ended up back at home. I sighed, relieved knowing that dad and everyone else was out looking for places to take over. This made it perfect for us to sneak in and see what dad had in the closet.
We approached the door which was unlocked. I turned the knob and pulled the door open, letting us in the house. All the lights were off with the only light being from the sun. It was strangely quiet without dad or the others around. I wasn’t used to the house being so quiet or so empty.
Quietly, I led Jericho and Alex to dad’s bedroom. Opening the door, I looked around for a bit before going in. I was a little nervous. I had been in dad’s bedroom plenty of times but this was the first time I was going to see inside his closet. I really, really, really hoped that there wasn’t a body in there and it was something else.
The door to his closet was on the opposite side of the door we stood by, to the left of his dresser. We approached the door slowly. I was about to grab the knob and open the door when I pulled back. I didn’t know what to expect. What was going to be behind the door and would I be ready for whatever it was? My palms became sweaty. I forced my arm forward and grabbed the knob.
“This is it guys. Ready?” I asked nervously.
“Ready.” Alex said.
“Yeah. Go for it.” Jericho said.
It was now or never. We had already come this far and we were all ready. I closed my eyes and slowly opened the door. I pulled it open all the way, then let go of the knob.  Slowly opening my eyes, I saw that…
“There’s nothing in here. Just…clothes and boxes…” I said, feeling incredibly confused.
This didn’t make any sense! So this whole time…dad was talking to nothing? Could he have been talking to the boxes and his clothes?  No…this couldn’t be right. There had to be something else here! I wasn’t sure how but I was certain that something was in here.
“Hey, what’s that?” Alex asked, pointing to something that was poking out from between two boxes.
Alex got on his hands and knees and pulled whatever it was out from between the boxes. He got up and held it in both his hands. I knew it! I knew there was something else here. And there it was, resting in his hands.
“A sword.” I gasped.
I took the sword and held it by its handle. I ran my hand over the blade. I had never held or even seen a sword before. Just holding it made me feel powerful. I felt like a knight who was on his way to save a princess and slay a dragon…Something I thought was kind of funny; a half-dragon thinking about slaying a full dragon. I held the blade up and looked at it in awe. I noticed that there was something carved into both sides of the blade. Something was carved onto the blade in cursive. It was a little hard to read but the longer I studied the word, the easier it became to understand. T O U R A J E.  Touraje. That was the name dad said last night. So then this sword must have belonged to Touraje.
Suddenly, the front door opened, startling us. I was afraid dad might be back. And if it was him, then me, Alex, and Jericho were all in very big trouble.
The footsteps grew louder. Whoever it was, they were coming this way. I tried to put the sword back in the closet but it was too late. The person stepped into the bedroom and saw us standing by the open closet and me holding the sword. This person wasn’t dad but it was still someone who made me feel afraid.
“Oh! Hi, Eig’nia.” I said nervously.
“What on earth are you two doing here?” She asked.
When she noticed I was holding the sword, she gasped. An angry looked appeared on her face.
“Give me that!” She demanded, swiping the sword from me.
She held the sword close to her in her arms. She closed her eyes, a painful look appearing on her face. She turned to the three of us, her angry look returning to her face.
“Where did you find this?” Asked Eig’nia, sounding pretty furious at us.
“We found it in the closet.” I explained.
“And THAT’S where it should have stayed! You boys had no purpose sneaking around in your father’s closet!” Eig’nia exclaimed, sounding even more furious than she did before.
“We’re sorry, Eig’nia! Really! We are!” I pleaded.
Eig’nia looked at the sword, then looked at us and sighed. She set the sword on the bed and sat down next to it. She rubbed her eyes for a bit then spoke.
“Well I suppose you want to know the story behind that sword, huh?” She asked in a much calmer voice.
Me, Alex, and Jericho didn’t answer her. What were we supposed to say? We thought that any answer we gave her might just make her angry again.
Eig’nia told us to sit down and she’d explain everything. So we sat down in front of her and listened to what she was about to say.
“This sword used to belong to a very dear friend of your father and I’s.” Eig’nia began.
“Touraje.” I said.
“Yes. Touraje was slightly older than us. He was like our big brother. He was very strong and noble. He would have done anything to keep us safe. The three of us were apprentices to one of the previous Leaders of our village. While your father and I wanted simply to become Champion to our Leader, Touraje had a second goal in mind: He wanted to work with our Leader and make it so that humans and dragons would be able to live together peacefully. To better understand humans, our Leader would send us to the human realm to observe how humans live and interact with each other. On one of our visits, Touraje entered into a contest where he got this sword. It was also on that day that we met another of our friends.”
“Another friend?” Jericho asked.
“Yes. Like Alex and Jake, he was a half-dragon. And just like Alex, he was born to a mother dragon. They had been living amongst the humans for quite some time. His name was Cyrus. For a time, things were great. I thought that maybe I’d be able to spend the rest of my days with Saulstrance, Touraje, and Cyrus. But then…something happened to change all that.”
Eig’nia stopped for a moment and wiped her eyes. She took in a deep breath and, with a bit of trouble, exhaled. After a moment she continued with her story.
“A terrible event took place one night. As a result of what had happened, Touraje lost his life and we never saw Cyrus again.” Eig’nia sniffled. She wiped away a tear that was forming under her eye.
I wanted to ask her what exactly happened but I didn’t think it’d be right. She already looked like she was having a difficult time continuing. I felt so bad for Eig’nia and for dad. One of their friends was dead and the other they never saw again. I really hoped that wouldn’t happen to me. I didn’t know what I’d do if I lost Alex, Theian, Z’haer, Jericho or Cassie.
“I’m sorry Eig’nia.” I said in a soft voice.
Eig’nia wiped away a few more tears. She handed the sword to me and then stood up.
“Put Touraje’s sword back in the closet just like you found it and we’ll pretend this never happened. And I won’t tell Saulstrance that you weren’t on your mission. Is that fair?” She asked.
“Yeah.” Me and Alex said at the same time.
“Good.” She smiled sadly and left the bedroom.
So we did as Eig’nia asked and put the sword back where it was. I looked at Touraje’s name one more time before shutting the door and heading back into the hallway with Alex and Jericho. We saw Eig’nia, sitting at the dinner table, her arms folded, eyes closed, breathing calmly yet loudly at the same time.
“Hey, Eig’nia, can you do one more thing for us?” I asked.
“What is it?” She asked.
“This is the friend I was telling dad about. His name’s Jericho. If you’re not going to tell dad I wasn’t on my mission, then could you please not tell him Jericho was with us? He might think it was because of Jericho that—“
“Don’t worry Jakol.” Eig’nia smiled. “I promise I won’t tell him anything.”
I smiled back at Eig’nia. “Thank you so much!”
“But if I were you, I’d get out of here right now. Your father may be back soon and you don’t want him catching you boys here.” She said.
I gasped. “Good point! Let’s go!” I said to Alex and Jericho.
The three of us headed out the door and went down the street. Where we were going to go next, we didn’t know.  We just knew we’d have to go somewhere dad wouldn’t find us. I thought that maybe the three of us could go to the mall and spend some time there but it would be hard for me and Alex to fly if we were bringing Jericho with us. We could go to my school and stay there for a bit but what would we do once we got there? I guessed we had only one choice: Slowly go with Jericho back to his house and then slowly walk back to ours’.
I told Alex and Jericho what I think we should do. They agreed that that might be the best idea. I looked back one more time and saw a portal open up. From out of it emerged Z’haer, Theian, and Girido. I knew this wasn’t good. If they were already back, then that meant that dad was going to be returning soon. So, before they could see us, we headed further down the street.
“Hey Jericho, sorry we couldn’t hang out longer.” I said.
“It’s good! Don’t worry! We can hang out next weekend if you want!” Jericho smiled.
“Okay!”I smiled back.
We made our way down three blocks, continuing on our way to Jericho’s house.
“Man! That woman’s story was something!” Said Jericho with a look of surprise.
“‘Woman’? You mean Eig’nia?” I asked.
“Yeah, her! Man, what kind of stuff happened to your dad? What kinda guy is he?”
“Well…” I tried to think how I should describe him. “He…has a pretty scary face. And he doesn’t like when people fail him. He really, really wants to take over the world.” I tried to explain.
“Take over the world? But isn’t that’s what bad guys try to do?” Jericho asked
“But dad said he’s doing it to make the world a better place. He says that when this world is his, he’ll make it so that people don’t hate each other anymore. And people…like me and Alex won’t be mistreated by humans anymore either.” I explained.
“Can he really do that?” Jericho asked again.
“I think he can if we help him. Dad might be scary and really strict but he’s a good guy. Me and Alex…we believe in him. We have to.” I replied, looking down.
“I see.” I understand.” Jericho said.
After a few more blocks, we were at Jericho’s house.  We walked up to the door with him. Just as he opened the door, he turned to us.
“Well Jake, I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” He said.
“Yep!” I said back.
As Jericho entered his house, his mom came to the front door, surprised to see him home much earlier than she thought he’d be. He told her that we were going to go hang out at my house but my dad said we wouldn’t be able to stay. So, with nothing else to do, we decided to just hang out some other time.
“Well that’s good actually. Now you can help get dinner started.” She said, going back into the living room.
“Okay. See ya Jake. See ya Alex.” Jericho said before shutting the door.
I waved goodbye to Jericho. For some reason, when I saw him and his mom talking it made me feel…sad and jealous. My chest was hurting. It felt like it was on fire. I didn’t know what this feeling was or why I was so upset seeing Jericho and his mom together. I went back home with Alex, all the while feeling upset, trying to figure out what was wrong with me.
@starsandsavages “Heeeeyyyy, Mikey.” Leo offers him a warm smile, rubbing the back of his neck. “I was wondering if you’re not busy, if you wanted to keep me company for awhile? I promise, absolutely no training involved.” He holds his hands up before his younger brother could protest. “I just need a distraction.” ( 2k12 bc I don’t think I’ve hardly send your boy anything uwu but also for the thing part of it. You’ll get more later! )
| Muse Interaction
Mikey was maybe the last of his brothers and the least likely of his brothers to go for alone time. Leo liked to train or mediate alone. Donnie liked to hole up in his lab by himself. And Raph well Mikey was sure Raph just sort of liked to be alone time to time. Mikey could spend sometime alone himself seemed to be one of those times when everyone was just off doing their own thing after all. Mikey himself was just lounging in his room hanging over the side of his bed well he watched crognard. Once again. Feet held up above him idly letting them. Swing at the knee as he let his fingers drumb against hi plastron. Wide smile across his beak, he fully understood why Leo got as he did when it came to space hero’s now because he was the very same when it came to his own favorite show Crognard the Barbarian. But, Mikey still insisted that his show was far better than Leo’s. And yes that was a very, very biased reasoning on his end.
Mikey had maybe seen every episode a number of time but there was always something to get out of every rewatch as well to him. Animations errors r small hints to things that came up later. It was enough to hold his attention for hours at times. Least till his door started to creak as it was opened. Mikey was guilty of breaking into all his brothers rooms with out asking or care. Mikey wasn’t really one to take issue f someone did it to him though. Likely cause he didn’t for it in the first place. “Sup bro” Mikey simply states as his eyes never once leave the screen. He sort of had a hunch it was Leo. Raph was a loud mouth after all, and Donnie didn’t really come to his room so it had to be Leo.
“Heeeeyyyy, Mikey.”
Mmm Leo sounds weird? Mikey thought as he let his legs drop tp flop down on to the bed before he turned to face his oldest brothers. “Yeeeeahhh?” He mimicked back t copy how Leo spoke just then himself. Moving to sit up now, which let the blood return to where it should be after having been forced toward his head the whol time he was busy watching his show. Something just didn’t seem right, Leo look weird and nervous which sure Leo could be both weird and nervous but still.
“I was wondering if you’re not busy, if you wanted to keep me company for awhile? I promise, absolutely no training involved.”
“Oh good cause I’m still healing from this morning’s training Raph didn’t go easy on me today.” Mikey whine a little, playing into the baby brother privilege he had. Especially with Leo of them all. It was mostly for Leo’s sake though it was pretty clear something was bugging his oldest brother. So of course Mikey simply smiled at Leo as he slightly rubbed the back of his shell so to play into the soreness still there after Raph took him out of the staring session. Egging it on it was hardly even sore as is after all. “Course I don’t mind dude but? Why? I mean I love hanging out with just you don’t really well ask?”
Leo, well any of them never really had to ask as is. Mikey wouldn’t care if they just came in and chilled with him.
“I just need a distraction.”
”distraction uh?” Mikey repeats. Leo did seem well not his usual collected self right now. Mikey just nodded his head if Leo wanted to or need to talk he could but right now what Leo wanted was t be distracted. For Leo that said a lot though, he wasn’t one to often avoid his issues. But if you needed a good distraction? Then Mikey was in fact the best turtle to turn to. Bright smile back as he jumped up to his feet.
“Oh! Ya know I have the best answer for this Le!” Mikey states in an excited state, starting to bounce on his bed a few times as he looked to the bookcase they rested on the wall. Let the springs do the work to get him higher and higher with each bounce. Till he grabbed for what he was looking for. “I was in the middle of watching Space Hero’s, the classic series” Mikey pointed out firstly “I’m getting to your favorite well one of them.” Letting his legs moving to fold in as he let the last bounce end and land down on to the mattress. Holding out the volume from the box set. “Wanna watch it? Oh better we can watch my favorite Crognad episode and you favorite space hero’s! Then we can compare them!” Mikey went on to offer.
Of course, Mikey wanted to ask wanted to see what was wrong but right now? That wasn’t what Leo wanted or even needed. Leo needed to have a moment to not think about what was on his mind. So that was what Mikey was going to give his brother. Peace. He moved to pat the bed so Leo could join him as he went to find the remote in his room. “Cause I got some notes for why my show is better that I could say before so best be ready to lose the argument this time!”
Mikey added in before he simply smiled over to Leo softly, a small little inviting towards them. “Side ya never gotta ask Leo. I love hanging out with you. Like the most really too.”
jack melting at reader scratching his back💖💖
That’s the spot
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Right there baby yes dammit that feels so good.”
Jack moaned as you scratched his back, it was one of Jack’s rare days off from tour and all he wanted to do was relax and take it easy today and spend time with you of course.
You decided to give Jack a nice little massage day he took a nice long and hot shower and you laid him down on the bed flat on his stomach and you sat on top of him and started rubbing lotion on him he groaned at how good it felt on his sore muscles.
When you started scratching his back he instantly melted when you started doing that. When he was a kid Maggie always scratched his back to help him relax or help him sleep and it worked every time.
“I’m glad I can make you feel good.” You laughed and scratched his back a bit more before stopping and laying on top of his back.
“You know I love you right.” Jack said after awhile of it being silent.
“Yes why?”
“I just feel like I don’t tell you enough how much I love you baby.”
“Jack you do like almost everyday why are you saying all this?” Jack’s been missing you a lot when he was away on tour and maybe a few of the guys got into his ear and not internationally Jack just started overthinking and when he found out Sunni’s girlfriend broke up with him due to Sunni’s busy schedule it had Jack thinking that you’d leave him as well.
Jack sighed and looked up at the picture of the two of you on his nightstand he smiled and grabbed it and you gave him a confused look still waiting for his answer.
This picture was taken during rehearsals for Forecastle you had jumped on his back and he was a laughing mess trying his best not to drop you. Urban did say it would make a perfect picture and he was right, Jack’s freckles and dimples were on full display.
“Sometimes I feel like you’ll get tired of me being busy all the time and just leave me.”
You knew he’d say something like this eventually because you did notice how his schedule was picking up a lot more recently.
“I’d never leave you Jack like I’ve said before you’re stuck with me till the end of time.” He laughed and flipped himself over causing you to go tumbling to the side, he hovered over you his blue eyes studying your perfectly round lips.
“If you don’t just kiss me already.” He smirked and kicked his lips before connecting his with yours, those soft and gentle back scratches turned into some not so gentle back scratches if you know what I mean.
( just a little concept 💗 )
Heyy! Can you do one where Osamu, kuroo, akaashi and Tsukishima, say something mean to their s/o and their s/o avoids them for days? When they finally get ahold of their s/o, their s/o just sorta cries because it hit their insecure spot? Fluff in the end🥺
Listen, I can’t not write this.
Irrevocable Words.
- the one in which they accidentally make you give them the silent treatment because of their lashing out. -
~ Osamu Miya, Kuroo Tetsurou, Akaashi Keiji, and Tsukishima Kei~
TW: Cursing, angst to fluff, timeskip! for Osamu,
------------------
Osamu Miya
“Those are important files, ya know?”
“Samu, I’m sorry. You should’ve told me you needed last month’s earnings and I would’ve looked for them before we came this morning.” The hand you tried to settle onto Osamu’s bicep was shaken off as your movements faltered.
Your voice wobbled at the sight of your stoic fiance, an annoyed glint in his eye as he rummages through his files. Osamu felt a flare in his stomach, a lack of sleep contributing to his impatient state. The day had been a busy one, Osamu deciding that he needed this particular file for his business call tomorrow before the two of you headed home for the night.
“I told ya not to move anything back to the place.”
“I didn’t.” You bit the inside of your cheek. “Here, just let me help-”
“Don’t touch a goddamn thing, I’ll do it myself.” There it was. The lashing out that was bound to happen occurred with a pointed tongue as he refused to look at you, rummaging through his file cabinets. “As I do everything else.”
He closes the cabinet sharply. “The least ya could do is try your best not to be a nuisance-”
Osamu flinches at the slam of one of the office desk drawers, chest sinking when he sees the tears threatening to spill from your eyes. The paper he needed is thrown on the desk carelessly as you shove your jacket on, wetness slipping down your cheeks.
“And I’m not your goddamn secretary. I’m heading home first.”
“Y/N-”
“And don’t worry, I promise I’ll manage to do this by myself somehow.” Your voice cracks bitterly, the bell by the door jingling mockingly in Osamu’s ears as you exit, the chef hanging his head with a sigh and regret tinging his chest.
He was wrong to pray this would blow over, not expecting to wake without your warmth by his side. You avoided him on the way to the restaurant, cleaning quietly while giving vague answers to his questions, shifting out of his attempts to embrace you with apologies.
Deciding to give you space, he softly tells you to take the next few days off, unprepared for the tired look you had given him, simply nodding in response as you slipped into your side of the bed with your back turned to him.
“Where’s your pretty girlfriend?”
“Fiance.” Osamu forces a smile at his two elderly regulars two days later, the wife’s smile widening at his correction.
“Oho! Cherish each other while you youths still can, she really does brighten this place up, doesn’t she?”
You do.
Osamu’s eyes feel hot as he does a messy job of cleaning up the restaurant, closing up shop early and stopping by your favorite bakery to pick up the ridiculously expensive cake he only ever buys for your birthday.
Throwing the door open to your shared apartment hastily, you gasp at the gray-haired man’s sudden entry, dropping the spoon you were about to use to taste the dish you were making on the stove.
“Samu, y-you’re home early-”
“What’s all this?” He tries to steady his breaths at the sight of a nicely prepared table, something you hardly ever got to share ever since the night shifts overtook your lives and caused a rift between the two of you.
You’re silent for a second, looking away from his warm stare as you shift under his gaze.
“...I miss you.” Dark eyes widen when you begin to hiccup over your words, tears threatening to spill down your cheeks. “But I didn’t wanna be a nusciance-”
“Oh god, darlin’ no.” You’re pulled tightly into his chest as you cry, whole body shaking with tremors as Osamu’s inner turmoil merely increases.
If Osamu could go back in time and punch himself he would, unknowing of the torment he caused you over the past few days, thinking you just needed space.
“I want to marry ya Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
“I love you so much Samu.” You sniffle into his chest, causing him to smile softly, a hand sifting through your hair to hold you tighter to him.
“I brought cake.”
You laugh through the onslaught of tears.
“And I made dinner.”
“Then what are we waitin’ for?”
“Just hold me like this for awhile?”
“Y/N.” He kisses the top of your head, finally feeling at ease with your figure in his arms. Osamu whispers a confession he hardly shared with you, wanting those words in particular to be special as he bridged the gap between the two of you.
“I love ya so much more, don’t you go forgettin’ it.”
Kuroo Tetsurou
“I said I was sorry!”
“Is sorry supposed to just fix everything, Tetsurou?”
“Tetsurou? Are you seriously withholding me from my nickname privileges?”
You cross your arms at his attempt to make you laugh, thoroughly angry with the mess your boyfriend made of things as his smile fades at your peeved stare.
“Look, what was I supposed to do?”
“How about not leaving my parents waiting for you at the restaurant that you invited them to for another one of your spontaneous volleyball practices?”
“I texted you I had to cancel!”
“That was a half hour before we were supposed to meet, Kuroo! They were so excited to meet you they got there early. God, why can’t you ever take things seriously?”
“You’re right.” A bitter chuckle slips Kuroo’s lips as you falter at the sudden tone change, the volleyball gym seeming bigger than ever as his next sentence makes your lips tremble.
“Since I can’t ever take things seriously, then I must not need my serious girlfriend then, right?” Your eyes widen. “I can just find somebody else who won’t fucking hound me all the time.”
His cat-like eyes widen as the words slip his tongue, unintentionally coming out crueler than he intended. To make it worse, you simply stayed silent, your body physically backing down and away from him as you turned on your heel.
“Wait, I didn’t-”
“Do it then.” His chest just about shatters as your shoulders tremble, refusing to turn back around as your voice takes on an uncharasterically defeated tone. “I hope they make you fucking happy.”
Kuroo runs a hand through his raven hair frustratedly at the way you rushed out of the gym, throwing a stray ball so hard at the wall before his vision becomes skewed with heat.
He should have expected the next week to be utter hell. You left class before he could catch you by escaping to the bathroom with all your things, leaving school another way instead of the exit you always took together before he had to start club activities.
“Kenma, what are you doing?”
“You can’t come in here.”
“I’m missing class for this. Let me through.”
“She doesn’t want to see you.” Kenma shrugged, eyes on his handheld. “I told her I’d watch the door so you can’t surprise her during our breaktime.”
“I’m her boyfriend. And you’re not her guarddog.”
“No, I’m her friend.” Kenma’s eyes narrow at his childhood friend. “And last time I checked, you’re on the search for someone who isn’t her.”
“So she told you.”
“Dick move, by the way.”
Kuroo’s calls go straight to voicemail, his emotions affecting his playing with each passing day. He leaves little notes in your shoe locker to meet him, heart sinking more and more with every time you stood him up.
And it wasn’t until he saw you smiling again at a joke Yaku made that he truly felt like he was losing you.
“Go home.”
The sight wasn’t one you were expecting to see, Kuroo sitting on the steps to your house with his hands shoved deep in his jacket pockets, the dark bags under his eyes sparking worry within you.
“It’s probably better if my parents don’t see you-”
“I’m sorry.” His eyes seem to have lost a little of their glint, regret swimming in the tall boy’s pupils as your guard softens. “I’m so goddamn sorry I ran my mouth and said shit I didn’t even mean-”
“Tetsurou-”
“And I hurt you in the process. I hurt the one thing that matters to me the most, and I’m sitting here playing the creepy ex that stalks the girl he loves-”
“You love me?”
“Doesn’t matter, does it? You’re done with me, and I deserve it-”
He’s cut off with the sight of tears hitting the wood in front of him, lifting his head to see tears streaking down your cheeks. On instinct, he reaches out softly, rising to his feet to cup your cheek, astonished when you curl into his touch.
“I’m so fucking mad at you right now.”
“Noted.” Kuroo laughs somberly, a wave of emotion hitting him as you do something you hadn’t done in days.
You look him in the eye, tugging him closer by the sides of his jacket.
“But I love you too, you absolute idiot.”
Kuroo grins into the kiss you press onto his lips, heart lifting in weight as he pulls you closer.
“Does this mean we can go back to Tetsu?”
“I’m going back to ignoring you-”
“No.” Kuroo’s tone turns serious as he holds you a little tighter. “I can’t do that again.”
You smile as he presses a kiss to your temple lovingly.
“Being away from you was complete and utter hell, sweetheart.”
Akaashi Keiji
“Tell me how to make this right.”
“Right, Y/N.” Akaashi refused to meet your eyes as he loosens his school tie, not slowing his pace for you to catch up with as he throws the doors open to the volleyball club. The usually put-together setter had an angry glint in his eye that silenced his awaiting teammates. “Let’s just go back in time before you agreed to be his partner.”
“Hey hey, what’s going on you two?” Bokuto jogs up, his worried tone making your lips tremble even more at the sight of Akaashi’s turned back.
“I came to you as soon as he made a move! I didn’t let him-”
“There shouldn’t have been an opportunity for him to make a move in the first place.” Akaashi’s jaw clenched as you shuffle in place.
“I didn’t do anything wrong, you think I wanted him to try to kiss me?!” You fight the waver in your voice, standing your ground. “It was a project for class. I didn’t know his intentions-“
“I told you what his intentions were, but you never listen.” Akaashi turns hastily, startling you and causing you to stumble slightly backwards into Bokuto.
“Akaashi-“
“Stop defending her. She never listens to me, and then comes crying to me when it turns out I’m right.” Akaashi snips at his best friend, ignoring the silent stares from his quiet teammates. “Why can’t you get it through your head, Y/N? I’m not your goddamn babysitter-“
“You’re right.” You interrupt, fingernails biting into your palms as you choke back a sob. “You’re not, you’re my boyfriend. I just wanted to respect you by coming to you with something like this, but it turns out I’m just a hinderance.”
Akaashi falters for a second, blue eyes widening a fraction at the angry heat that fills your eyes as regret begins to bubble in his stomach at his harsh words.
“Y/N-“
“Give me some space, Keiji.” You say softly, patting Bokuto’s arm to let you through as your shoulders sink in a defeated manner. “I promise I won’t come crying to you about anything else.”
Your steps echo as you walk out of the gym, Konoha breaking the silence first when the door shuts behind you.
“Hate to say it, but that was well-deserved, man.”
Akaashi closes his eyes, head falling back towards the ceiling as he tries to steady his breathing, pretending like he wasn’t scared of you slipping through his fingers. He willed himself to not allow himself to chase after you, his anger directed towards you fading as he forces himself to respect your wishes.
It was obvious you were avoiding him. Akaashi had blinked when Bokuto had self-proclaimed that he needed you as his “study buddy” during breaks when you weren’t even in the same year as the owlish boy. It got worse when you seemed to panic when Akaashi willed you to talk to him, eyes refusing to meet his watery blue ones as you pushed him further away.
So he gave you your space, wilting with each passing day. It wasn’t until he accidentally bumped into you a week later, the setter turning hastily on his heel to walk in the opposite direction before a soft tug on the back of his school shirt wills him to stop.
“Keiji.” Your wobbly voice makes him turn back around immediately, a soft palm already cupping your cheek gently. “I’m s-”
“I’m sorry for being cruel.” The words are whispered against your forehead, Akaashi’s heartstrings tugging in the worst way possible. “I was angry at the situation, my love. And that sorry excuse you call a classmate. Please,”
His grip tightens just a little more as he feels wet warmth drip into the palm that was cupping your face.
“Forgive me.”
“I told you I wouldn’t come crying to you-”
“I want it all, Y/N.” Akaashi pulls back slightly, voice cracking slightly as blue stares intensely into your irises. “I want all of you. Tears included.”
You swat his chest playfully as Akaashi manages a soft smile, hand threaded through your hair as he presses you against his chest.
“Do you still need space?” He murmurs, and you smile at the sound of his hearbeat picking up as he awaited your answer fearfully.
“Nope. The exact opposite, please hold me?”
His embrace relaxes immediately, and your heart skips a beat at the sound of his relieved sigh, his slight nod making the weight lift off your chest.
“Good, now I can take care of your classmate-”
“Keiji-”
“Nope, my love.” He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, Akaashi’s eyes swirling with devotion.
“No one gets to try anything with you so long as you’re safe with me.”
Tsukishima Kei
“So I’m the bad guy again.”
“Do you want the honest answer, Kei?” You exhaustedly run a hand through your hair as Tsukishima’s scowl deepens, his long legs easily catching up with you in stride as he tugs on your wrist as the rambunctious court gets further and further away.
“It’s not my fault you’re insecure.”
You flinch. “Well maybe you shouldn’t let the girls in the stands cling to you after your matches. They were all over you, Tsukki! And you didn’t seem to mind it one bit.”
“What?” Annoyance brims the blonde’s voice as he takes another step forward, clenching his jaw when he sees the quiver in your lip, distrust filling the atmosphere between the two of you.
“Afraid that they’re prettier or better than you’ll ever be?”
You feel as if the wind was knocked out of your lungs, breath catching in your throat at his insinuation. His guard slackens almost immediately, clicking his tongue before turning away, too proud to apologize for the words he regretted as soon as they slipped his tongue like venom.
“Yeah.” You laugh humorlessly, making brown eyes dart over to your expression immediately. “You’re 100% correct. I am afraid you’ll find someone better than me in all aspects. Because I love you, you absolute asshole. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
The silence that befalls the two of you in the deserted hall is broken when you flinch away when Tsukishima tries to take a step towards you.
“I didn’t-”
“You never mean to do anything, Kei.” You say in a hushed tone, turning your back on him in an attempt to shield the hot tears slipping down your cheeks. “But you somehow always manage to.”
The win for Karasuno didn’t mean much to the blonde that night, hoping that this would just go away and things would be back to normal. However, it was anything but. You didn’t look his way once in class, disappearing when it was over. Your voice trembled as you had avoided his seemingly stoic eyes through his frames, simply stating that you wished for some time away from him.
He was fine. Or at least pretending to be on the outside. In truth, he would never find better, because you were it for him, words that you would never catch slipping his mouth. So he put on a front, pretending that your absence had zero effect on him whatsoever. Pretending the brush of your body against him in the hall as you pass each other didn’t make the blonde want to cave.
It was the smile you shot at Hinata during one of your breaks that caused him to. The first glint in your eye in awhile, and it had been caused by him of all people, prompting the tall middle blocker to tug you by the forearm into the corridor.
“Tsukishima-”
“I hate this.”
You falter for a second, guard back up in a flash as your back touches the wall. “What did I do?”
“You didn’t do anything, and it’s pissing me off.”
“I don’t follow-”
“I was wrong.” His forehead touches your shoulder as you stiffen before relaxing against his familiar touch. “I don’t care how many times I have to apologize. You win, okay? I’m sorry.”
“This is a rather aggressive apology-”
“Y/N.” Tsukishima lifts his head so it’s level with your height, unprepared for the way tears brimmed your eyes at the proximity, your guard diminishing.
“What if you do find someone better one day, Tsukki?” Your voice cracks, inner fears trickling to the surface. “Do I need to prepare myself to lose you-?”
You gasp as Tsukishima’s jaw ticks before kissing you intensely, his hand touching your lower back to pull you closer.
“No. You don’t need to do something stupid like that.” His eyes were slightly glaring at you, a flush across both his cheeks. “Because there is no one better than you, okay?”
It was your turn for heat to flood your cheeks as your eyes widen a fraction, his breath tickling your ear as you stutter. “Kei-”
“I love you too. I said it, are you satisfied now?”
After UK Reunion - Karl Jacobs
Summary: Karl and Reader have a little catch up after not seeing each other for awhile, and thank goodness for the new waitress at the local restaurant
“Took you long enough,” you joked as Karl popped his head in your car window, after he ran across the parking lot.
“Sorry, stream had a few incidents,” he titled his head some at the phrasing and you furrowed your eyebrows. “I’ll tell you about it inside, come on.”
He moved his face from your window so you could roll it up and after you switched off your car he opened the door.
“Chivalrous,” you joked, and he grinned giving a dorky bow, and you rolled your eyes but smiled anyway.
You and Karl made sure to have a meal together at least once a month, that way even if either of you or both of you got busy you’d still have at least a little time to spend together.
“So, apparently you’re a man of culture now,” you stated as you guys walked in the local restaurant, taking an open booth. “How was the UK?”
“Wonderful, and I’m so much more sophisticated now, at the rate I’m going I’ll have a monocule by next Tuesday,” he told you and you grinned as he sat across from you.
Almost as soon as the two of you were sat a waitress was at the table a wide grin on her face.
“Hi, there, I’m Rudy, I’ll be your server, can I start you guys off with some drinks?”
“Um, yeah, a sweet tea and the house smoothie,” Karl stated before you could answer and she gave a curt nod walking off.
“And, how do you know that what I was going to get,” you asked raising an eyebrow and he shrugged.
“Because you said you were going to try every house smoothie until you tried them all.”
Before you could even try to rebuttal, though Jimmy and Chris walked up to the table.
“Hey, what are you guys doing here,” Chris asked with a smile and you went ahead and scooted over, knowing they’d stay.
“I don’t know, probably not eating though,” Karl remarked at the same time that you said, “skydiving, obviously.”
“I don’t like either of you,” he stated, and Jimmy chuckled and Chris made Karl scoot over.
“Wait, this is supposed to be our catch up time, everyone shuffle,” Karl said, and neither Jimmy or Chris argued and you just raised your eyebrows as they all switched seats.
“All better now,” you asked Karl as he sat beside you, and he nodded causing you to let out a laugh through your nose.
“So what are you guys up too,” Karl asked the waitress coming out with the drinks, and taking Jimmy and Chris’s to go orders as we asked for more time.
“We’re about to go film a reacts video, thought we’d grab lunch first, though.”
The four of us sat and chatted until there to go’s came and Karl and you placed our own orders, and you grinned as he turned to me after passing the menus back to the waitress.
“You know you can go back to the other side right?”
“Mmm, no, I’m good.”
“So, you’re going to willingly turn your head to talk to me instead of sitting across from me?”
“Why’re you trying so hard to get rid of me?”
“I’m not, maybe I just care about you and don’t want your neck to hurt.”
“Yeah, well maybe I missed you and I want to be right beside you.”
“You would, you nerd,” you commented shoving him slightly and he smiled some, shoving you back.
“I really did miss you,” he commented moving a strand of your hair, the closeness causing you face to warm.
Before he could comment on it, though, the waitress was at the table and giving us our food.
“Thank you,” Karl stated and she asked if we need anything else before heading to another table.
“Careful, might be poisoned,” Karl said quickly taking a bite of your food and your mouth dropped.
“Why do you always do this,” you asked with a laugh moving it away and he just looked at you with wide eyes as he chewed. “Can’t stand you.”
“Good thing we’re sitting,” he commented and You went to smack his arm but he caught your hand before you could. “Quit abusing me.”
“Quit giving me reasons to,” you commented and he let out a scoff. “Aw, pretty boy not have a comeback.”
“Shut up,” he commented his face going red and he tried to turn the other way.
“Oh, wow ditch me to go to the UK then tell me to shut up, I get it, you don’t like me anymore.”
“Yeah, like that’s ever be true,” he muttered, and the banter continued way longer than it should’ve and you two were sure to leave the waitress a good tip when you were leaving.
“Hey, you want to come back to my place and watch a movie or something?”
“Yeah,” you stated and went to get in the car before realizing you’d left your phone inside, and going to get it.
“Forgot this,” the waitress asked as she just started to clean the table and you let out a sheepish grin. “You and your boyfriend are adorable by the way.”
“Oh he’s not my boyfriend, thanks though.”
“He should be,” she called before you stepped out and you could help but grin slightly at the idea of some thinking that you and Karl would work the same way you did.
You made you way to his house, and when you walked in he threw a pillow at you.
“Took You long enough,” he mocked and you rolled your eyes, but picked up the pillow before popping off your shoes.
You made your way over plopping down beside him and when you picked up your feet to curl up on the couch he pulled a blanket over the two of you.
There wasn’t a single part of you that was watching the movie though. The waitress words kind of stuck with you. And, all you could pay attention was Karl’s fingers mindlessly tapping against your arm, as his arm was thrown around you, and his soft breaths. They’d seemed so loud when you thought about just how close he is.
You turned some, eyes tracing the side of his face and he looked back at you, “You okay?”
“Yeah,” you responded giving him a smile, and as his eyes searched yours, you glance downed to his lips. “Hey, Karl how much did you miss me?”
“Couldn’t put how much I missed you into words,” he said, glancing down at your lips and you could feel your heart skip a beat, cheeks darkening as you moved your eyes off of him.
“Do you know how much I missed you,” you asked and found the courage to look back at him, and he shook his head.
You glanced at his lips once’s more before gently placing your hand on his cheek coming closer, slowly in case he didn’t want it. Instead he gently placed his free hand over yours, and closed the gap.
“I missed you even more than that,” you whispered when you had to pull away because of him grinning, and he placed a soft kiss to the tip of your nose and then your cheek before pulling you into a laying position as he hugged you.
“Does this mean we can go on real dates, now,” he asked and you let out a laugh nodding.
“Yeah, yeah we can.”
