Do You Think They Know? - Zoro x Reader
Status: Complete (Part 1 of 5) Summary: A culmination of oneshots ascertaining Reader & Zoro's relationship Warning: SWF - following parts may include 18+, Language, implied smut
1.
To say you enjoyed watching Zoro during his daily work out would be an understatement. But you were only human – were you not supposed to notice when the incredibly attractive shirtless swordsman decided to get hot and sweaty right in front of you?
You bit your lip, trying not to stare quite so overtly at the bead of sweat threatening to make its way down his temple. Alright… maybe you were there deliberately for that very reason. A very, slight, small chance. And no way a thought out process and perfect timing. But Zoro was like clockwork. Which, if you were being honest, made your life a lot easier. It was certainly not a coincidence when you had asked Nami if she wanted to join you on deck to sunbathe. Obviously she was aware of your intention but thankfully was willing to play the fool and allow you to indulge in the “surprise” that Zoro just so happened to be half naked and sweaty as you were setting up the sun-loungers.
You cast a quick glance over in her direction but she didn’t seem to be paying attention – face turned towards the sky and enjoying one of the more peaceful moments aboard the Merry. The wind was gently toying with her hair and you couldn’t help but feel a little self-conscious about how relaxed and confident she looked, seemingly without effort. Whereas you were fighting the urge to fight your shorts for the twentieth time in an attempt to look perfectly casual but also hot as fuck. It was a line you had never managed to toe.
“One of these days I’m just going to lock you two in the hold.” Nami said, leaning up slightly to give you a knowing look.
You could feel your cheeks getting warmer. It was certainly no secret that you had certain … inclinations towards Zoro but Nami wasn’t usually so upfront about her knowledge of it. Although your perverted mind was quite enjoying the idea of being locked in small confinement… Urgh. No. “I’m just sunbathing.” You said, relaxing more into your lounger until a thought popped into your head. You turned towards her, eyebrows furrowed, “Wait – what do you mean?”
Nami rolled her eyes. “Er. The eye fucking. It’s pretty obvious.”
You glared at her. “Yes, I know I am. Has he said anything? Is he … eye fucking?”
Her eyebrows furrowed, lips pressing into the corner of her mouth; giving you a look as if you’d just asked if water was wet. “Yeah, this is a you guys thing.”
You playfully slapped her thigh, “You started this. Least you can do is tell me what to do about it?”
The redhead shrugged, shuffling further into her lounger. “I heard about this cool new thing called “talking”. Maybe try that?”
You rolled your eyes. “I hate you. Do I look alright?”
A smirk crossed her features. “Just talk to him.”
Taking Nami’s advice you tried to casually walk over to him. He was just finishing with his weights, presumably about to start on press-ups. Of course you hadn’t watched his routines enough times by now to find the perfect time to make an appearance. That would be weird. And slightly stalker-ish. It just so happened that yours and Nami’s conversation had come to a natural conclusion and so the opportunity to speak to Zoro had simply fallen into your lap. So Nami could stop looking at you like that.
“Does being shirtless help build muscle?” You asked, cocking your head.
Zoro rolled his eyes, trying to keep the smirk from his face, “Too distracting for you?”
“You wish.” Arms folded against your chest, you continued. “If I wanted to be distracted by an attractive guy I’d go to the kitchen.”
His face hardened a little. “I’d like to see Curly Brows lift something heavier than his ego.”
“Hmm.” Despite Zoro’s obvious irritation, you couldn’t help but push a little further. Besides, it was far too easy to wind Zoro up as soon as Sanji was involved. Practically an open goal. “Well, he must be doing something right to look like that.”
There was a pause. Then the penny dropped. Zoro let out a frustrated grunt. “Did you come over solely to wind me up?”
“Not solely,” a hint of a smirk swept across your features, “But that’s definitely a positive outcome.”
His arm snaked around your waist, pulling you towards his chest. You stumbled slightly, letting out a giggle until the muscle wall of his chest made you catch your breath. His eyes were entirely focused on yours. You swallowed. “What did you come over here for then?”
Somehow managing to gain your composure you stepped backwards out of his grip. Maintaining eye contact, fuck, it was hard to have any cerebral activity when he looked at you like that. You steadied yourself. Focus. You shot him a smile, “That would be telling.”
*
It might be the way he loomed over you. It might be the way his body appeared – and felt – like a solid wall of muscle. It might be the way your leg oh so naturally draped over his hips – either way, whenever Zoro asked if you wanted to join him for a nap there was not a single atom in your body that could refuse.
He was always sprawled out – work out trousers and either a vest or shirtless allowing you to sink completely into his warmth (and his arms, although you always tried and failed to notice that part). When you had first started napping together it was purely just for a nap after training. Zoro would be unconscious within seconds and you would lie there staring at him willing, needing him to make any sort of move towards you. So you wouldn’t sleep. You would shift away from him as far as possible, back to back, trying to desperately ignore the few agonizing inches separating your feet from his. Desperately hoping that he was feeling the same way, that he would be the first one to fold. And then he would start snoring.
Not exactly the precursor to making bad decisions.
But. Then.
Because he was an arsehole he would wrap his arms around you. He would bury his face into your neck. He would still snore, so still managing to prevent you from sleeping. But he was there. Intertwining limbs – sometimes practically on top of you whilst being completely oblivious to you lying there and wishing he was doing something, anything.
Or at least anything other than snoring so you could sleep too.
It was during one of these “naps” when Zoro essentially had you in a choke hold and all you could think about was how maybe he could have you in a different sort of choke hold when Robin walked into the cabin, opened her mouth to say something and on making eye contact quickly shut the door again. You let out a frustrated sigh and tried to push Zoro off of you. He was a dead weight. You festered in your embarrassment.

I see you are taking requests for the one piece bois so I thought I’d throw an idea your way!
(Oh my god I’m so sorry this is so long!)
F!Reader X Mihawk where y/n is fairly new to the straw hat crew. There’s a huge battle between pirates and marines, the battle field is brutal. Mihawk is there fighting the Marines when he sees the straw hats do a group attack together. Y/n was launched by Luffy and Sanji straight into the middle of the battle field with her sword and daggers. Mihawk takes notice of y/n being launched into the battle thinking she was gonna get taken down quite easily. He doesn’t recognize who she is so obviously not strong enough to know who he was.
Little to Mihawks knowledge, she spent her entire life being trained to be an assassin against her will. Once she escaped and joined the straw hats she started training with Zoro and she improved so much. She starts to love the thrill of the fights so she ends up training even harder and goddamn is it noticeable.
As y/n is falling towards the marines she unsheathes her dark black sword covered in haki and lets out a huge attack that split the ground a few miles apart. The straw hats join y/n after she lands in the open field she just mowed down. Mihawk is baffled by how fluid she is with her attacks, not missing a single mark and meshing with her crew so well.
Y/N then gets launched AGAIN by a new admiral through the air straight at Mihawk. He notices and breaks her fall, not wanting her to hit the ground for some reason. That’s how they introduce themselves and they end up fighting the new admiral together.
They end up battling perfect together, perfectly synchronizing their attacks and blocks. Mihawk thinks he might have found his person.
That’s kind of all I got so far, sorry for it being so long! I hope it makes sense and if you do choose to write this I hope you have fun with it as well!!
I love long asks, it makes the fic so much easier to write! (requests still open for mihawk & shanks)
Warrior | Dracule Mihawk x Reader
Tumblr media
Well, this was certainly an interesting way to start a new job.
You'd been with the Straw Hat crew for nearly a month now. As an old friend of Zoro's, nearly equally skilled with the blade, you had proven yourself to be a valuable asset. The longer you knew them, the more you began to feel as if the Going Merry could be your home.
That's when the Marines showed up.
They were after Zoro - of course - and someone else, too, someone you couldn't quite place. Zoro seemed to recognize the name, cower at it, even, but it wasn't familiar to you.
Mihawk. Dracule Mihawk.
So here you were... hopelessly outnumbered, or so it would seem. Hundreds of Marines, and in opposition only you and the Straw Hats, plus a few other pirate crews.
You held your breath as you glanced back at Luffy and Sanji, giving them a nod.
"Are you sure?" Sanji asks, obviously reluctant. You smiled.
"Just do it."
Luffy used his rubber arms to propel you back like a slingshot, straight into the middle of the battlefield, daggers drawn.
You landed on your knees, slightly scuffed, and pointed one of your daggers in the air.
"Charge!"
Across the field, a warlord of the seas had begun to notice the other warrior. Nothing much escaped his notice - not the weather, not the weight of his weapons in his hands, not the bodies littering the field.
You were far more subtle, but no less obvious. You moved through the battlefield like liquid, like water, your blades dancing through opponent after opponent until few remained. Then, when it seemed that your smaller blades would no longer suffice, you removed a much larger sword from a sheath on your back - a black sword, covered in haki. The weight of it, sinking into the earth, split the ground and forced both Marines and pirates apart.
He didn't know you, but he felt he knew something about you. Something about how you must have suffered to have gained such skill.
You had. You had been trained to become an assassin from a young age, after all, and it was nearly all you knew. Zoro saved you, trained with you. One day, he left to turn in a bounty at a Marine base and seemed to have vanished forever. A year later, he returned to bring you with him.
Your crew had assembled around you, he noted - you seemed especially close to a man in a suit, another man with green hair - Zoro, Mihawk recognized, Roronoa Zoro.
Well, of course he liked you, of course he appreciated your skill. Zoro would not waste his time nor protection on someone undeserving.
But your crew had been distracted by other assailants, it seemed, and you stood alone. A newer Marine admiral, someone Mihawk recognized as a person he'd rather not mess with, engaged you directly in combat. Your sword hit his shoulder, but did nothing. He was too strong, and you were overpowered.
The force of the sword's vibration threw you back several feet, and Mihawk realized with a start that you were about to land beside him.
It seemed too cruel to let you die, he reasoned. Not merely cruel - senseless. If you died, who could measure the loss of the things you might've done, the lives you may have saved? Someone like you, someone with potential - someone like that deserved to be saved, someone like that deserved to live.
With a considerable sigh, he held out his arms, and you fell neatly into them.
You looked around, wide-eyed, confused as to where you were and how you'd gotten there. Instinctively, you put your arms around the place where you'd landed, hanging on for dear life.
Mihawk cleared his throat. You blinked at him, still struggling to understand what had happened.
"I caught you."
You nodded, still in a state of shock.
"...Who are you?"
"Dracule Mihawk," he said, drawing out every syllable. He sounded annoyed, but he wasn't, not really. He was amused, but more than that, he was curious. Curious about you, a strange little human with a powerful sword and seemingly no Devil Fruit powers to speak of. He wanted to stay with you, to help you.
...You didn't need help, obviously, but if you ever did, he would gladly provide it.
Mihawk set you down, legs trembling. You reached for your sword again.
"I'm trying to kill him," you said grimly, gesturing at the Marine admiral. "Help me?"
Mihawk pulled Yoru out.
"Obviously."
...

Luffy & Zoro thoughts
so I saw a post about how if Luffy asked zoro to kill one of the straw hats Zoro would do it. (Oda confirmed)
The majority of the comments were all like oh yeah Zoro would, but he also knows Luffy would never ask him to do such a thing, at least without a good reason or if he wasn't in his right mind.
This was also my first thought as well, but then I thought about it more. I mean I really thought about it…and that's not even remotely true.
Now, I don't doubt Zoro killing one of the straw hats if Luffy told him to, but it's the "he knows Luffy would never ask him to" That's the part I dont agree with.
That's just not true at all, because Zoro is one of the few besides Robin that doesn't try to make sense of Luffy or how he thinks.
But let's say for the sake of this argument that. That is true and Zoro knows that Luffy would never ask him to do it...That doesn't negate the fact that Zoro would still kill a straw hat if Luffy said so. So I guess that part of situation really doesn't matter. Zoro will do what Luffy asks of him either way.
Why?
Because Luffy is not the type of person/captain to give DIRECT orders in the first place. Have you realized that?
I can count on one hand how many times Luffy has given a direct order in general, but we're going to focus on Zoro for right now.
Albasta. When Luffy told Zoro to save Smoker. "Zoro. Quick! You have to save Smokey!"
Ennies Lobby. When Luffy told Zoro to cut the sea train carts in half. "Okay, Zoro. Cut them."
In Alabasta when Luffy told Zoro to save Smoker. Zoro protested not understanding why Luffy would want to save the enemy. Not caring about the fact that Smoker was a devil fruit user and would've died without his help. He expressed how much he didn't want to do it, but he did it anyways.
Ignoring Sanji when he picked at him for saving Smoker, but when Smoker came to and questioned Zoro on why he saved his life?
Zoro's reasoning was. "I was just following my captain's orders. It was just another one of his crazy whims. Pay it no mind."
I think this was when Zoro really started to not question Luffy. Deciding it'd be a lot easier on every one if he just went with it rather than trying to make sense of his captain.
Not just that but Zoro is his own man. He doesnt follow Luffy blindly. It's just that the majority of the time. Luffy and Zoro are on the same wavelength mentally. They're cut from the same cloth. Though, Luffy is more of a wild card. He does what he wants, when he wants, wherever the hell he wants to. Where as Zoro is a lot more put together and thought out. Luffy is pure instinct and feeling driven.
I dont think you guys realize that Zoro would've killed the lot of them excluding Luffy a long time ago. Especially Nami, Robin, and Franky. When he found out they betrayed Luffy.
Zoro has made it very clear that there is NOTHING that he is not prepared to do. BUT he always leaves decisions like these up to Luffy and Luffy never gives Zoro an answer. He always says "I want to find out for myself. I want them to tell me this to my face."
As for Luffy?
I do believe there is a possibility of Luffy asking Zoro to kill a straw hat.
Because it's like I said earlier. Luffy is completely instinct driven. He does what he wants, when he wants, wherever he wants.
Luffy woke up one day and decided to become the king of the pirates and come to find out thats only a requirement of his real dream.
So what the hell is stopping him from waking up one day and deciding you know what? I want you all dead.
The only ones I feel like Luffy wouldn't kill is obviously Zoro, Robin, and Chopper. And maybe Jinbei. And MAYBE brook since he's been wanting a musician since day one.
But the rest of them? DEAD.
What's stopping him from changing his definition of freedom and wiping the world of one-piece CLEAN?
Especially since Zoro would still follow him?
Get real. Everyone would be cooked. Those two have always been a dangerous duo even before their awakening and haki. They'd be unstoppable now of all times.
Well... That's my thoughts on the matter anyways..

I've seen your post on Sanji vs Zoro x Reader and Sanji vs Nami x Reader and loved both. now how about.. Sanji vs Robin for Reader's affections? >:)
Tumblr media
😳 i'm about to do all of the straw hats at this point trying to compete for y/n's love 😭 but let's see how far this can go >:)
forethoughts: i had so much fun writing robin's one. lowk starting to feel bad for sanji because it's been 3-0 for him against nami, zoro, and now robin. but life goes on :).
notes: fem!reader, competitive robin = no mercy for the other competitor.
Tumblr media
You were the new ‘scribe’ for the Straw Hat Pirates, a role that Luffy deemed important because he wanted someone to document all of their adventures so when they passed your writings will live on for the next generation.
You knew how important your job was, since you were documenting the future King of the Pirates’ adventures. You were constantly under stress to perform well and record everything, not missing anything at all so you could paint an accurate picture.
You were very well at hiding your stress in your job, but only two people on the ship noticed your anxious self.
The archaeologist and the cook.
Robin, the ever observant soul, could tell by the way you ran around the ship trying to document everything, to the way you locked yourself in your shared room with Nami and Robin to write everything out, that the job was putting you under a lot of stress.
Sanji could tell something was putting you under a lot of stress by the way you constantly skipped meals and brushed away his desserts.
They weren’t just concerned because that’s what good friends do, but because they were both in love with you.
Robin admired your work ethic and how you always wanted to put your best work forward, while Sanji was in love with you because, needless to say, you were a girl.
Robin knew that Sanij had a crush on you (obviously because you were a girl), and began to see it as a competition to see who was worthy of your love and your time, by seeing who could help you destress more. Sanji knew that Robin had a crush on you just by the way she looked at you, and he was mad.
So from the first day you joined, the lovestruck archaeologist and cook made it a competition to see who could help you relax.
Robin had an upper hand, as you were a girl, and shared a room with her. Every time you had locked yourself in your room to write everything, she always quietly entered the room, holding a tray of coffee and tea.
She’d always tell you to take a break, and that she wanted to discuss something with you, just so you could take your mind off of your task at hand.
The two of you have a little setup inside your room with a table and two chairs, made for your conversations you would frequently have, depending how hard you worked that day. She’d always talk to you about how her day was, about what all the Straw Hats were currently doing, so you wouldn’t have to run around anymore to find out what everyone else was doing. With her devil fruit ability, she was able to monitor all the Straw Hat’s whereabouts and what they were doing, making sure that you never had to run around to find out for yourself. She’d also supply you with her own papers if you ran out, or ink if you ran out as well. She’d also talk about a new book she was reading, recommending a book for you to read as well.
Needless to say, Robin 100% made your job easier and less stressful for you. She’d always stay by your side throughout the day, as she saw quality time as a big love language. You loved her company as well. Robin always had a calming aura and sensation that drawn you to her, especially with your hectic life. You always loved to spend time with her, ranting about whatever it is you wanted to and Robin was there to listen.
Nami would sometimes crash into your conversations you two would have, sharing her insight, before leaving to give you space. Of course Nami knew about Robin’s massive crush on you; it reeked so heavily whenever Robin treated you like she treated Chopper, whenever Robin lended you her sweater if you were cold or whenever Robin let you borrow any book from her library.
Sanji was very mad, enraged by the upper hand Robin had. And it didn’t help that most of the time you and Robin were always in your room, a place Sanji was banned from because of his perverted tendencies.
The only time Sanji could even see you was when you were with Robin, sitting down together in the galley yapping about a book Robin was reading as Sanji served the two of you dinner. Out of spite Sanji would serve something less appetizing compared to your gourmet dish to Robin, but you always would give your extras to Robin just because.
It was safe to say Robin was winning the destress competition, as well as your love. You didn’t know that Robin was doing all of this to win you over, but you knew that you were more than friends with Robin compared to everyone else on the ship.
It sucked more for Sanji because the ever clever (ha it rhymes) Robin made sure that the only time you spent with someone else was with her, so that inevitably you were going to be the closest with her just purely because of time. Robin had her eyes on you, and she wasn’t going to let some perverted cook stop her from getting what she wants.

I love your Skyward Sword AU!!! I think Nami would be a weather goddess for sure ^_^
God but the Straw Hats trailing behind Luffy, constantly failing him in their mind... It would destroy them for sure, I can totally see Robin especially going off the deep end a bit (former assassin wants to KILL)
Oh for sure Nami is a weather goddess in their past life.
I want to place all the Strawhats as minor gods with Nika as a major. I think in the past they either all died and Nika gave up his immortality so that they could all reincarnate together. Or after Nika died and gave up his immortality they all followed suit to be with him again. I’m leaning more towards idea one
Some strawhats are easier to place than others
Luffy as Nika
Zoro as Asura
Nami as a goddess of weather (maybe call her Kiatsu meaning barometric pressure, or Tenki meaning weather.)
Usopp could be the god of lies and trickery (lies is Japanese is just Uso so I might have to work on that name a bit)
Sanji is a god of food/cooking
Chopper is obviously a god of medicine/healing
Robin could be wisdom/knowledge/history maybe something else as well
Franky is the spirit of inventions?
Book is music (obvious)
Jinbei is the ocean (obvious)
As for your second point… the idea that they are always a step behind, a moment too late to help. The are arriving to battle fields when the battle is over. Finding remnants of sea stone cuffs and other objects to hurt/imprison their captain.
And this is after Marineford, they all already feel like they failed Luffy once. He needed them and they weren’t there and he lost his brother.
Now he needs them again and they are always showing up to late.
I’m sure Mihawk is not painting a delicate picture for them. He’s not sparing any detail of what almost happened to Luffy at each spot. “If the Red hair pirates were here than….” Fill in the blank.
It absolutely starts to wear them down. Especially as them memories of their previous life starts to trickle back. They all feel like they are going crazy, and Luffy the one person who always brought confidence and comfort is not there.
I think the first time they arrive to a spot that still has marines at it they all go ballistic.
Zoro just launches himself from the boat at starts attacking them. He has to get to Luffy, he’s not going to be to late this time.
Sanji and Robin are right behind. Luffy just saved Sanji from Whole Cake not to long ago, he has to save Luffy. Robin well they’ve been harassing her sunshine Captain and she’s not letting that go.
There is a lot of pent up rage in the whole crew.
They won’t be to late this time.
It’s all for not. Luffy and Shanks already moved on.
But I don’t think any of them totally lose it until they catch back up to Luffy. The release that he is alright. That they are all back together. Only for it all to crumble as Luffy leaves to go hold back an enemy. This time they can’t follow. Not until they have their memories back.
Suddenly they have to face their past lives and every emotion that comes with putting the pieces of their past back together
The realization that Asura dealt Nika his fatal wound.
The memory of their own deaths
It’s a lot. And they all definitely break down in their own ways.

Whats is your ideal high school au zosan?
if youre gonna put the Straw Hats in a modern setting they still HAVE to be miscreants and freaks with insane trauma who regularly commit crimes.
I NEED Zoro and Sanji to be on the verge of flunking out and/or being expelled for fighting.
Zeff is making Sanji go to school so he can have a bright future or whatever the fuck but ALL Sanji cares about is helping run Baratie. Why the hell would he "do math homework" when he can COOK? That's the only future he wants anyway. So what if he also happens to love marine biology it's not like that matters and it doesn't help with his general education course grades. Also obviously he still gets into tons of fights because of his short temper and strongly held principles. He's probably got a reputation that, along with his workalohic tendencies at the restraunt, make it hard for him to keep friends.
Zoro made a promise to his late friend Kuina to become the greatest swordsman...in the sport of kendo. Zoro also struggles to care much about his classes. However, similar to Zeff, Kyoshiro won't let him completely give up on his education in favor of living and breathing kendo 24/7.
While NOT getting into fights and nearly flunking out of school would certainly make it EASIER for Zoro to continue competing in kendo, from what I've been able to look up about the rules of the FIK it's actually not impossible for him to get into kendo competitions even if he's a bit of a hooligan lol. Especially since his primary caretaker runs a dojo. So long as he can get some adults to vouch for him, like maybe the current greatest kendoka in the world...
I also don't think they'd go to the same school. If Zoro and Sanji are nearly dropouts, Luffy is definitely already a high school dropout, let's be real. I can't decide what sort of rougish illegal profession he'd be pureheartedly aspiring to on dry land right now (street gang leader?????), but he'd definitely have no interest in getting a regular education. So, it's no problem for this weird delinquent to befriend two other weird delinquents from different schools and rope them into whatever weird shit he gets up to between dine-and-dashes.

sanji and usopp start dating and the crew knows almost instantly because, well, it's not hard to tell and they've been invested in their relationship for a long time (invested = fucking tired of seeing them pining). and now they can finally be happy together and show it to the world freely which, in retrospect, it's fucking awesome. in theory, it's great. but sanji is not used to PDA and even less to people wanting to touch him or accepting his touch. most of the time he's just talk and girls pretty much always ignore him and, well, men- he doesn't have good experiences with men.
but the way usopp touches him in front of the others, oh so domestically and casually... it make his heart go crazy. the cook never knows how to react to that. and, turns out, that even if he's known for his flirtatious personality, he's a blushing mess when things like this happen. but usopp takes this new phase of their relationship so, so well... he's the calmest sanji has ever seen him.
it starts with usopp holding his hand when the crew is walking around a new island together, and they are not even behind them. in fact, everybody can see them holding hands. people often look at them in the streets, strangers. or perhaps that's just sanji's perception. but even if he's all anxious about this and his hand is obviously shaking, he doesn't let go of usopp. the sniper seems to notice this and squeezes his hand a few times to catch his attention and smile at him. sanji's heart lets go of its insecurities for a second, then.
it seems that usopp is extremely comfortable when it comes to touching sanji which, okay, it's understandable because the whole crew is extremely clingy and sanji is not far behind that fact. but he always rests his chin on sanji's shoulder while his hands find their place on his hips to pull him close, as if sanji's body is exactly where he belongs. and the cook is not used to somebody wanting his warmth this much. even less when they're around other people. but usopp does this constantly, with a hint of protectiveness and a little possessiveness. sanji is still getting used to it, but he always ends up holding the hands on his hips or kissing usopp's forehead whenever it happens. his heart feels a bit lighter once he does so. he thinks that, maybe, he can start doing these things too.
usopp doesn't even think about it when he touches sanji, the cook realizes. it happens almost instinctively. because whenever they're sitting somewhere together with the others, his hand always ends up resting on sanji's lap. the first time it happens it drives sanji so fucking insane that he has to take a deep breath and try really, really hard not to focus on it. because otherwise, he'll probably end up going into cardiac arrest. but he likes the feeling of usopp's fingertips on his legs, especially whenever he's talking to somebody else. because it's like telling sanji that he's there for him, even when he isn't even talking to him. that sanji is appreciated there, too.
the way the sniper intertwines their feet together under the kitchen table when they're eating with the crew does things to sanji. because they always sit in a corner of the table (that way sanji, if he needs to go back to the kitchen, it's easier for him to move) and it seems that nobody else notices the way usopp is grinning at him. but sanji knows. sanji knows they could just see the blush covering his face at any moment. and yet, he sits closer to usopp anyway while he takes another bite of his food.
sometimes, depending on the island and the adventure, they sleep in the woods. which is fine with all of them (for the most part. nami isn't that happy about it and sanji wouldn't mind an actual bed), except that it's always so fucking cold. so it's not weird to see them cuddling. it's not odd to see robin and brook resting against franky's huge chest or luffy practically lying on top of zoro. nami cuddles with chopper and jinbe, too. so usopp holding him in their sleep should not be a problem and should not make sanji this nervous. but it makes his heartbeat pound harder and faster than usual. and so he just cuddles closer to him because, well, if he's going to be unable to sleep because of having his boyfriend this close, at least he can enjoy his warmth for the night.
it doesn't matter if they're talking with strangers. people they just met on a new adventure. whenever they're sitting next to each other on a couch, usopp's arm ends up behind his head. which- okay. well. sanji needs a moment to process all of this because even if it isn't a romantic gesture necessarily and they're not even touching, the urge to rest his head on top of usopp's shoulder haunts him. and even if usopp isn't actually doing anything, the fact that they're so close (their legs touching, too. hips touching) isn't doing anything good to sanji's critical way of thinking.
it becomes a habit to bother sanji while he cooks, even when the others are around, too. every morning usopp stays with him while making breakfast. and every morning usopp's hands find their way to sanji's hips. he lazily kisses his neck while he does so, and if sanji burns their food, it's going to be all usopp's fault. it doesn't help that he always finds usopp wearing one of his wrinkled shirts. it- it doesn't help at all.
usopp takes every opportunity to kiss sanji, too, now that he doesn't have to hold back. and it isn't like sanji is complaining in the slightest (he's literally the luckiest man alive) he's just afraid he might fucking die from blood loss. because sanji now has the necessity to bring usopp little snacks and drinks whenever he does so for the girls, and unlike when he did so only for nami and robin, usopp kisses him as thanks every. damn. time. so he has to offer food to his boyfriend after he already has done it for the girls, because if usopp kisses him this tenderly when he's holding food, he might as well drop it from the way his heart beats against his chest.
and, well, sanji is still getting used to this. getting used to being loved like this. it's easy for him to just go over some girl and yell cheesy stuff with a grin on his face because that's not- that's not real. he worships women like goddesses and he does not expect them to love him back. there's safety, there. he knows they're going to reject him and he does not care. but he has been holding back from touching and talking to usopp in so many ways, fearing rejection, that now he doesn't know what to do with everything he feels for him. he thinks he's going to explode. besides, men are- men are different. men's bodies are something he likes, of course, now that he has realized. but it's harder to accept since all the men he has ever known have been so violent towards him. usopp would never, that's for sure but... it still makes him nervous to touch him.
even if he's extremely touch-starved and wants nothing but to kiss his boyfriend every second of his life.
he kind of feels guilty about it. not being able to be the one touching usopp first, even if he always responds to his boyfriend's caresses when the sniper makes the first move.
so sanji thinks that maybe words will help. if he can't be the first one touching usopp, then words will have to be his way of showing affection to him.
sanji keeps calling him everything but his name. honestly, he has forgotten the last time he called usopp something else that wasn't stuff like: mon chéri, mon trésor, mon amour, mon coeur, ma moitié... and, well, all the things usopp has to ask what they mean because he has no idea when it comes to french and sanji loves that just the tone of his voice makes his sniper all flustered. "his sniper" being another pet name, by the way.
it's hard to say he loves usopp at first. because those are strong words and even though it's exactly what he feels, he isn't used to saying it to anybody this seriously. even with his father back at the baratie those words were something they always expressed with actions or were only said when sanji had a particularly rough night when he was younger. but once he gets used to saying them, he can't stop. sanji loses count of how many times he tells usopp he loves him every day. when they wake up. between kisses. between smiles. when they're fighting. when usopp's sleeping. when he's working. when he gives him food. the words always come whenever they're together. and when silence speaks for both of them, sanji feels the need to whisper them into usopp's lips. and whenever they are not together, sanji keeps telling the sea he loves usopp, even if the sniper can't hear him then.
he lets usopp do the talking in bed, most of the time. but whenever sanji gets the chance to speak, he doesn't miss the way usopp's body twitches with every word of praise he pronounces along with his moans. and it's always quiet and low, fearing somebody else might catch them, but it's not like he needs anybody but usopp to hear his confessions of love between his sounds of arousal, thank you very much.
sanji speaks about sogeking the same way he speaks about usopp, perhaps a bit more dramatically. it always makes his boyfriend blush with embarrassment, but he never admits he knows sanji is talking about him. it makes everything more fun, sanji thinks. and perhaps it's easier for usopp to take praise when it's directed to his alter ego instead of him. sanji has always loved the way that cape looks on him.
so they keep touching and talking and showing their love to everybody around them and... they don't care. the crew does not care. in fact, they look happier than when they weren't dating (if you ignore mosshead's rolling of eyes every damn time, as if he wasn't all over their captain on a daily basis, but alright. whatever. fucking idiot).
and sanji feels, after a long time, that he finally has somewhere to call home and more people to call family. and if they finally let him show his love (the way he truly wants to love someone) he isn't going to hold back anymore.

Re: genderbent Sanji:
-Sanji would love having boobs, tho. Maybe not the whole back pain thing and having to wear a bra, but he'd love playing with them. He'd love the way they bounce when you fuck him/he rides you. Loves to watch them in a mirror while you two fuck, especially if you also have boobs, because your boobs are pretty too 💖. Loves it when you play with them- his or yours or both, it doesn't matter. We all know Sanji loves tits.
-Also. Him getting turned on in public, but nobody being able to really tell because he usually wears black pants, so even if he gets so wet it soaks thru into his pants, it's still hard for people to tell.
-Less prep work when you want to peg him or stick your cock in him. Makes quickies easier, especially if he's in a mood where he just Needs to feel you stretch him out and fill him.
-I feel like he'd like feeling you cum inside him, or even just peg him. Like, he liked that stuff BEFORE, obviously, but you've got something you could try besides/in addition to anal. He just likes being full of you 🥺 Especially when you tell him how pretty he looks and call him a good boy and tell him you love him, it makes him feel so safe 🥺
Yes to all of this, but also: Sanji with tits would be too powerful, too great. He would never leave his cabin, just staring at himself in the mirror. The Strawhats would starve. 😭 (I'm joking, Sanji in any body would never let his friends starve. Buuut dinner might be a little late because he's too busy playing with his brand-new pussy. The novelty will wear off eventually. Or not.)

Like the Stars in the Sky - Roronoa Zoro x Reader Part 10
Pairing: Roronoa Zoro x Reader
Warning: 18+. Language, implied smut
Summary: A companion piece, and continuation of, A Man of Little Words
A/N: [Part 1]; [A Man of Little Words]
Zoro was this close to cutting that idiot cook in half. Since had had left you on deck the other night things had been starting to go back to normal – or at least as normal as things could be while he was actively ignoring you. He knew that eventually he would have to speak to you again – preferably before the rest of the Strawhats caught on but he was hoping that his had and heart would be co-operating with each other by then. The fact that he was in love with you absolute. And the fact that you weren’t in love with him was absolute. All he had to do was accept them both. So it was inevitable that the idiot blond was going to ruin everything.
It had all started about an hour ago when Sanji had mentioned that you had seemed a bit distant the last couple of days. Obviously he had decided Zoro was to blame, which just infuriated the swordsman more since Sanji was right – but he didn’t know why he was right. Especially since Sanji blaming Zoro was more out of spite than having any actual grounds. As soon as that imbecile had mentioned your name Zoro had had his back up. The only saving grace was that Sanji pissed him off so much no one would blink an eye at their bickering.
Still. Sanji didn’t have to keep pushing the matter. Zoro was completely aware of the fact that he had fucked up, just as he was becoming progressively aware that there was an ever increasing direct correlation between your happiness and his avoidance. It didn’t take a genius to work that one out.
“Are you even listening?”
Zoro grunted. “No.” Of course he was. He listened to everything Sanji said about you but he wasn’t about to let curly brow know that.
“Marimo. How can you up set her like this? Do you even care?”
Zoro glared at him. Of course he cared. More than you ever will, dickhead. He held his tongue – proving Sanji wrong was not worth bringing you further into the argument. Of fuck. There goes his heart again. Before you, any argument with Sanji was fair game. Any topic, any insult. But you were off limits. “Shut up, cook.”
“I’d love to! But I can’t when someone is being so villainous as to disrespect a lady! If she were mine I would throw myself overboard before seeing a frown grace those perfect lips.”
“She’s not fucking yours.” Zoro snapped, heat rising in his chest. Sanji’s abrupt stop brought Zoro back to his senses and he tried, in vein, to quash his anger. “She’s not anyone’s.”
There was a curious expression on the blond’s face – one that Zoro was struggling to work out. “Do you… do – she – is that-” Sanji spluttered. Zoro raised an eyebrow. “Do you like her?!”
Zoro swallowed. Hard. The absolute last person he wanted to talk to about this was that damn flirt, and yet here he was. Completely exposed. He clenched his fists, trying to gain some form of control. “Even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you.”
Sanji seemed to take this as an excuse to flail his limbs about, probably about to cause a scene which was the last thing Zoro could deal with. “You do like her! The poor woman!”
In one swift move, Zoro grabbed Sanji’s collar and pulled him close, knuckles almost as white as Sanji’s shirt. “Not a word, idiot cook.” he pushed him away, perhaps a little more roughly than necessary, glaring straight ahead and trying to ignore Sanji as best he could.
Fortunately, the sight of you and Nami in the distance provided a solid anchor for his attention. His gaze softened slightly. Sanji was still whittering on in the background, an irritating fly buzzing in his ear but it didn’t matter any more. It was much easier to ignore him when Zoro could focus on the sunlight dancing in your hair and the way your soft lips curved into an amused smirk as Nami spoke. He should tell you, if only for his own sanity, or if only to stop Sanji blurting it out before Zoro had a chance to explain himself. He should just rip the plaster off and be done with it. You could only reject him once, after all.
He closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. Tomorrow. All of this madness was going to end tomorrow.

Is it bad that I feel personally victimised by WCI or am I just being dramatic?
I don't think so anon, I think the themes of family in WCI are some of the most personal and nuanced Oda has ever done and while tragic in so many ways, I think results in the best way of conveying how powerful found family is but also how someone can have complicated feelings towards their blood family.
Throughout all of One Piece, you can see this through line of found family and how blood relations isn't what matters in who you consider family (The ASL brothers, Bellemere and Nojiko for Nami, Kuina for Zoro, Zeff for Sanji, Saul for Robin, Tom and Iceburg for Franky, and while not a strawhat, Corazon and Law deeply affected me as well). This is obviously a trope Oda has liked writing for a long time and one he does well, but (with somewhat the exception of Marineford/Post-War arc with Whitebeard and Ace), WCI is the first time he really dives into these themes of what family is, and what I really appreciated, how messy it can be.
(I uhhh wrote a lot after the cut so be prepared for that)
And it's not just Sanji in this arc (I'll get to him though don't worry), from Germa, from the Big Mom Pirates, and the Firetank Pirates, so many characters are acting as narrative foils to Sanji and dealing with family related trauma, and responding to it differently. The ones that really got me were Pudding and Katakuri though, and they're pretty similar to each other as well. I've talked a little bit about Pudding already here so I'll talk a bit more about Katakuri instead, but it hit me really hard when he made a temple for himself, and he lets the rumors fly about "his back has never touched the ground, he's praying to a god of war, no one has seen him eat" and it's just. Him laying on his back, eating donuts happily. And the scene is kind of silly and funny right, but I kid you not my New Year's resolution this year was to just, try to be more comfortable in my living room/kitchen without thinking everyone is going to judge me for, what? Eating? Watching a show I like? Completely normal things, but if you've ever grown up in a house where just, EVERYTHING you do is picked apart and criticized by family, it's easier to just shut yourself away in a room and hide it. And isn't that tragic? Katakuri projecting this image of strength that his family asks of him so much that he feels he has to hide completely normal things like lying down and eating? I could go even deeper into this character but this is just one example of a character's complicated relationship with his family, where he hides so much of himself for them, but also it stemming from a place of love after what happened to Brulee when they were kids.
And now to talk about Sanji. Ohhhh where do I even start with this guy. As kind of a sidenote, if you've seen any of my posts from Thriller Bark through Punk Hazard, I was really struggling to like Sanji as a character and I didn't make that a secret. Which was upsetting to me because, from Baratie-Enies Lobby (and really good moments at the end of Thriller Bark and Saoboady) he was a favorite of mine! And at times I thought his character was done pretty dirty where he was stripped down to a singular gag and Oda leaned into it way way way too hard. But it's immensely satisfying to me to see all the little seeds Oda planted for so many years come to fruition in Zou and WCI, to the point I think he's turned from being the most one note strawhat to the most nuanced and layered in the span of a singular saga. And that was incredible to see.
I think what really captivated me about Sanji from the beginning were how strong and rigid his convictions are, and that even though he's kind of a rude brat (I say that with love lol), he's so undeniably kind, even to a fault. And with his first backstory we see how a lot of his rigid rules he's made for himself come from, it's from Zeff. He doesn't hit women, he'll feed anyone who's hungry no matter what, and he learns to fight to protect people he cares about, but he isn't really a fighter in the same way Luffy and Zoro are, and that's made clear in his desire to protect his hands in a fight so that he can do what he really loves, and that's to cook. A lot of what makes Sanji who he is today is shown here, but Oda was smart in showing aspects of Sanji that clearly don't stem from Zeff without telling the audience why for the longest time.
He shares the dream of the All Blue with Zeff, but where did it come from? Zeff is kind of similar where he has this hard exterior but underneath is kind as well, but it's taken to another level with Sanji where it becomes self sacrificial. Throwing himself down the mountain on Drum Island, taking the lightning bolts from Enel for Nami and Usopp on Skypeia, boarding the water train alone to try and get to Robin, and most prominently, at least for me, him trying to take Luffy's pain at the end of Thriller Bark instead of Zoro, where he very clearly places more value on Zoro's dream and life than his own. That was the moment to me that made me really realize he does not see value in himself, unless he's providing something he deems useful. And if the situation calls for it, he'll throw his life and dream away if that makes him "useful" not realizing that the crew don't see him as this dispensable thing like he sees himself.
And all of Sanji's strengths and flaws as a character just come to make this perfect storm and mess that is Whole Cake Island. And the kindness that is Sanji's most definitive trait is so clearly not in this family, at least not seen at first. His brothers are made to have no zero empathy and beat down on him constantly, verbally and physically, and Judge just watches and doesn't care, eventually just hides Sanji in a cell and pretends he's dead. Because he was physically weaker and human. And yet he continues to cook because he loves doing it, he remembers his mother's kindness, and his dream of the all blue is formed in a small dark room and just. This got to me big time. Not to get too personal but the set of expectations put onto Sanji by his family, ones he can never live up to and finding passion in something his family finds to be worthless and a waste of time. Finding an escape in books and finding his dream there even though everything around him is hell. Slowly realizing the extent of cruelty that his father will go to as he grows up. Very unfortunately for me this might be the most relatable character I have ever come across in regards to my own experiences. I'm someone to voice my thoughts on things even if nobody else cares (hence why I've been liveblogging on here since Drum Island I think lmao) but while watching Sanji's backstory it affected me like nothing else ever has. It's not even something that made me cry really, I was just in shock after watching it for awhile. And Reiju saying to Sanji, "There are people out there who will accept you for who you are, you need to get out of here" which is so similar to what Saul said to Robin and even similar to what one of my sisters said to me growing up. Yeah. I also felt personally victimized by Whole Cake Island lmao.
But the end result of Sanji's arc is so beautiful and amazing. Sanji putting on this act of looking down on Luffy, and once again trying to sacrifice himself to protect those that he cares about, but Luffy just cuts through the bullshit because he knows that isn't really Sanji talking in that fight. Luffy's speech as Sanji is being driven away where he says that he can't become the pirate king without him by his side. This isn't an original thought but Sanji and Zoro both kind of represent different aspects of Luffy's dreams. Zoro with a seemingly impossible ideal and putting 100% of yourself into it. "I will become the greatest swordsman." "I will become the pirate king." But Sanji's dream of finding the All Blue reflects Luffy's dream of finding the One Piece. They both don't know if either of those things are even real (the audience at this point knows the one piece is real, but to my knowledge and where I'm at, Luffy doesn't). Yet there's this childlike wonder they both have about these dreams, because, what if it is real? Luffy knows that Sanji is irreplaceable because of the ideals that they share, not because of what Sanji can provide or be "useful" as.
It takes so much for Sanji to go running back to Luffy, and even when he does, he obviously gets insecure again and starts listing off reasons why he isn't worthy enough to go back to the Sunny and to the crew. And God is it satisfying to see Luffy absolutely rock his shit for saying that and asking him to just SAY what he really wants. And Sanji breaking down and saying how much he misses the Sunny and the crew and also airing out how he feels backed into a corner and doesn't know the way out, that he wants to help his family even though he doesn't consider them family and he KNOWS it doesn't make sense, he is being kind to a fault again. But Luffy smiling at him and saying "Well, that's just how you are. Let's go crash the wedding." That's when I started sobbing lmao, because there is such unconditional love and kindness in that statement that Sanji has so desperately needed ever since his mother died. Someone who just accepts him and all his faults wholeheartedly, and is that not the most beautiful representation of family??? His relationship with his blood family is so messy and complicated and full of mixed feelings(and that's very common), but his feelings about Zeff and Luffy and the rest of the strawhats are so clearly full of adoration and unconditional love for them, and they feel that same love for him as well! How lucky all of them are where they found their people, and how everyone else in this world has that opportunity to find the space and people they truly belong to, not tied down by blood. Whole Cake Island's themes on family were so well done and also fundamentally changed me as a person I think.

Hiiii I hope you're doing okay! I would like a urgent request with Itadori, Levi and Sanji please? Btw, it's pretty heavy topic, i know it's what your urgent requests are about but still-
The headcanons with a gn!s/o that got new prosthesis legs? (Fluff/comfort please)
-------
I lost both of my legs at 5 years old because I had a heart tumor and oxygen levels problem and my legs didn't had enough oxygen so I eventually couldn't move them anymore so they amputated them and I got my first pair of new legs at 7 years old, the heart tumor came back at 9, 12 (this one gave me cancer) and 17, right now I'm tumor free (im 19) but I still stay in the hospital all the time since my oxygen level is still low, I've never lived outside the hospital for 14 years, I mostly made friends with everyone at the hospital and I love playing with the youngest patients but it's been really hard on the mind and sometimes I have to get IV because I can't eat because of it, 2 weeks ago I got my new legs and I'm super happy about them, obviously, but it's been a bit hard to adapt to them and for the mind since it's a lot, I can't even look at the scars, I also spend a lot of time in the psychology block to help me cope and get better
So please, can I have headcanons where s/o gets new legs but have a bit of difficulty walking in them and mentally? Thanks! <3
By the way, I love your blog and thank you for these requests, I love your writing and you're amazing!
Itadori, Levi (AOT), and Sanji Support You When You Get New Prosthesis Legs
Pairings: Itadori x Gn!Reader, Levi (AOT) x Gn!Reader, Sanji x Gn!Reader
Warnings: mentions of amputations, prosthetic limbs, mental struggles, health issues
Genre: Comfort, Fluff
Post-Type: Headcanons
Word Count: 1.7k
Summary: In they comfort you when you struggle to walk in your new prosthesis legs, along with the mental struggles you face
[A/N: Hellooooo <3 Idk if you're new to my blog or not, if you are, then welcome, glad you found me, but if not, then I'm glad to hear from you anyway! Can I just start off by saying how amazing you are? I complain about things in my life so much when I probably have it easier than so many others out there. You're a true fighter and I'm so proud of you for getting through everything you'd faced thus far. I'm so glad you're alive and tumor free in this moment. I pray it remains that way so things get easier for you! As for these headcanons, I did as much research as possible to make this accurate, I'm probably still way off, but I did my best :( I'm still confused on when to use Prosthesis vs Prosthetic, BUT hopefully I did okay. I hope these hc's provide you with some comfort! You asked for fluff so I assumed that meant these were romantic?? Please let me know if that isn't the case, I can always edit everything and make it platonic! Anyway hope you enjoy <3 I'm here if you ever need anything <3]
Tumblr media
Itadori:
Tumblr media
Itadori was always in the hospital visiting his grandpa after school, so it’s only natural that he eventually met you
He noticed you had two prosthesis legs, which made him curious–that’s how he first approached you
After learning your story and seeing you more often, he eventually fell for you and asked you out, which you hesitated at first. How could a relationship like that work? Did he really like you or was he just feeling pity for you?
Yet it did work out, years after Itadori’s grandpa passed away, he continued to stay by your side through everything, showing you all his love and support
So the day you received your new legs, he was right there with you, glad to see you happy with them, though there was always that hint of frustration and sadness behind your eyes
You had trouble walking in them at first, they were heavy and different from the ones you had before, you knew it would take time to get used to, but struggling to walk was very frustrating on you
Thankfully, Yuuji was always there to help you out
He’d take your hand and slowly walk with you in the hospital hallways, helping you regain your balance whenever you lost your step
“You’re doing great,” he smiles, squeezing your hand
There was never a moment when he wasn’t encouraging you and cheering you on; he knew what you’d been through and what you’re still going through, so the least he could do was bring some positivity and happiness to you whenever he could
On harder days where you were mentally exhausted, he’d continue to be there for you
It was hard for you to look at the scars on your legs, a reminder of the amputation that had happened all those years ago. Wishes of having a different life like all the other people your age, it was tough
“You don’t need to look at them if it’s hard. They’ll always be there and we can’t go back in time, but I love you as you are and you should too, Y/N. You’re a fighter and I’m sure so many of the younger kids in this hospital who are going through similar situations, look up to you. You’re so amazing and I love you so so much. I’m proud of how far you’ve come and how you continue to fight for yourself.”
He knows there isn’t much he can do for you. After all, he didn’t know what it felt like to lose both legs at a young age. He had no clue what it was like to be in a hospital your whole life because of a heart tumor that continued to return and left you with low oxygen levels, he had no idea
But what he did know, was that he wouldn’t let you go through it alone anymore; he stayed by your side years ago when he first met you, and he’d continue to remain there, doing anything and everything in his power to bring you joy and love you to the fullest
“You’ll get the hang of it, don’t worry. I’ll be here for you no matter what,” he says, kissing the back of your hand as you continue to practice walking in your new legs, with Yuuji by your side
Levi:
Tumblr media
Levi frequented the medical ward due to all his comrades and friends that passed away or got gravely injured during ventures into the outer walls and later in the areas within the walls that harbored titans
So he was bound to run into you at some point, and when he did, it was when you were playing with the younger kids in the medical ward, you had a bright smile on your face, yet he noticed your prosthesis legs, knowing you’d probably been fighting your own battles
He’d catch himself watching you every now and then whenever he found himself in the medical ward, you were attractive and your spirit also seemed to draw him in, he couldn’t help it
Sometimes he’d even show up at the medical ward when no one he knew was there, he just hoped to catch a glimpse of you
This continued for a while until one day you met eyes with him and he awkwardly looked away, but figured he’d seem a little weird if he just left, so he approached you and made small talk with you
He enjoyed talking to you more than he thought he would and eventually you naturally got closer, leading to being together romantically
It was now the day when you received your new legs and Levi quietly sat in a chair in the corner of your room, watching the doctors set you up in them
Levi is a man of few words, so he just carefully watches their every move, listening to their instruction before they leave to give you some privacy
He stands as you stand to get used to your new legs and hovers by your side, his arms ready to leap out incase you need the extra support
Let’s just say even though he isn’t very verbal with his care for you, he’s super attentive and shows you he cares through his small actions
Frustration is written all over your face as you struggle to get used to them, you felt tired of your situation at times since it was mentally exhausting and Levi understood that well
As a soldier, he’s lost so many comrades and friends along the way, feelings of helplessness and wanting to give up deep inside him; he assumed you felt the same at times in regard to your situation, but he wanted to make sure you knew you had him around if you needed him, you weren’t alone in this
“I know it must be hard dealing with this all the time. Though, you’re braver and stronger than half the soldiers on my team, Y/N. Despite everything that life has thrown your way, you’ve faced it and moved forward, I really admire that…” He says awkwardly, yet in full honestly. He wasn’t used to opening up like this verbally so often…
He’s ready to help in any way he can, and at night when the doctors are gone and the lights go out, he pulls a chair next to your bed, as his hands trace patterns on the skin above where your prosthesis start, leaving gentle kisses to the skin, his eyes shining with love and admiration for you
He loves all of you, even your prostheses and he wouldn’t change you for anything
Levi always makes times for you at the end of the day when training is over and he has nothing else to work on
Drinking tea with you in your room and reading together or listening to you speak is the highlight of his day, you bring a light to him he never had before, and he’d do anything to protect that
Sanji:
Tumblr media
Being part of the Strawhats was always a wild ride, but how did you get here?
Luffy and the crew had visited your island and he was instantly amazed by your legs, yet seeing you stuck in a hospital room felt off to him, so he invited you to join the crew to go on all their adventures, giving you the opportunity to see the world that was out there
After all they had a doctor on board, so you were in very capable hands with Chopper who always did his best to care for you
And of course this was how you met Sanji who was drawn in by you the second he saw you
It didn’t take long for him to ask you out repeatedly which you refused several times, until you realized that his feelings for you were actually genuine
Only then did you become a couple and he treats you SO WELL
He treats you like a delicate flower, making you the best foods that are easy to eat, yet still provide you with all the nutrients you need to live (whenever you do have the appetite to eat)
Franky had just finished making your new legs, thanks to Choppers detailed instructions of what you’d need and it was time to try them out and of course Sanji was there with you
“Careful with that, can’t you be more gentle?”
This man is so protective over you, poor Chopper is getting fires of questions thrown at him as well as Franky, as Sanji questions whether this is really the right fit, and if it’ll do you good
He just wants the best for you, especially with these new legs, but once he sees your smile as you try them on, he relaxes a little
You have a hard time walking in them at first, needed to get used to the new shape and weight of them, and being on a rocky ship didn’t exactly help either, but Sanji is right there to help you whenever you need it
I think he’d even be a little too clingy at times; one hand around your waist as his other holds one of your hands…he just doesn’t want you to lose your balance and fall
Sometimes he sees your frustrations and holds you close to him whenever you have mentally draining days where things are just extra difficult for you to face, but at least you know you have his support
“Everything’s going to be okay, my love. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you, but I swear I’ll do what I can to make it easier to bear”
And of course the way he knows to comfort you the most is through his hugs, kisses, and with his cooking of course
Warm soups are probably your favorite, they’re easy to eat and comforting as you sip on them, but he’ll make you your favorite treats as well if you’re ever craving them
Sanji does worry a lot about you, but he’d never let you see it. He just wants you to be happy and healthy, so always seeing you on oxygen in Choppers office pulls at his heart strings, but he’ll put on a brave face for you and give you all his love and attention
If you need anything at all, just tell him and he’ll get it for you, even if it’s just something as simple as wanting to hold his hand…he’d run to you in a second to make it happen <3

Master-Post of all the FFs I have written (with links), have started to write (marked as WIP), or plan on writing:
A Promise is a promise is a promise is a...
• Buggy & Shanks; Buggy & Buggy Pirates; Buggy & Roger • T ; One Shot ; WC 5,732 • No Archive Warnings Apply ; Abandonment Issues
Buggy doesn't make a lot of promises over the years, and he tries to keep even fewer of them.
-----
In-/Justice
• Kaku & Jabra; • M ; One Shot ; WC 2,968 • No Archive Warnings Apply ; Depression ; Suicidal Thoughts
Jabra didn't know how to comfort people. He knew how to fight, how to hunt and most of all, he knew how to kill. But maybe that was okay. Kaku obviously wasn't looking for his comfort anyway.
-----
An Emperor's Fear
• Shanks/Buggy (one sided) ; Cross Guild • M ; 3/3 chapters ; WC 10,303 • No Archive Warnings Apply ; One-Sided Attraction
“He is in danger,” Shanks finally stated. It was obviously correct. “It has been happening again and again for a while now. I need to help him, but…” Shanks hesitated. “I can’t.”
-----
Blue
• Shanks & Buggy • T ; One Shot ; WC 590 • Major Character Death
Buggy's hair is blue, just blue.
-----
The Albatross
• Shanks & Buggy ; Shanks & Roger Pirates • T ; wip ; 1/? chapters ; WC 4,685 • No Archive Warnings Apply ; Supernatural Elements
Buggy accidentally kills an Albatross, and Shanks will do everything in his power to keep Fate from taking its course.
-----
Fade Away
• Usopp centric • G ; wip ; One Shot • No Archive Warnings Apply ; Grief/Mourning ; Loss ; Loneliness
Every year, in early autumn, just before the trees change their color, Syrup Village held a Harvest Festival. Usopp misses feeling like he belongs there.
-----
Through Bloodstained Smiles and Broken Laughs
• Bellamy & Doflamingo ; Bellamy & Bellamy Pirates • M ; One Shot ; wip • Graphic Depictions Of Violence ; Canon Character Death ; Manipulation
"I won't disappoint you again!" - "No, you won't."
-----
Red Alliance
• Kid & Shanks ; Kid & Red-Hair Pirates ; Kid & Kid-Pirates • M ; One Shot ; wip - on HIATUS
After Kid woke up on the Red Force, with little memory of how he had gotten there and no idea why the Red-Hair Pirates didn't seem intent to kill him, he was confused.
That confusion turned into despair, when they told him, that there was a high chance the Victoria Punk had sunk.
-----
Your Voice
• Zoro/Sanji • T ; One Shot
When Sanji mistypes a single digit in a number he usually knows by heart, his life starts to change. Who is the stranger on the other end of the line, and why does Sanji like talking to him so much?
Sanji isn't sure, but it would definitely be easier to figure out, if that stupid neighbor across the street from him, would start wearing shirts.
-----
Ménage à Trois
• Crocodile/Buggy/Mihawk • E ; One Shot
"Sit." Crocodile ordered, and Buggy's brain took a second to process that he was motioning to his lap.
"Are you sure, I could..."
"You said you were tired. So sit."
-----
Lost on you
• Paulie & Kaku; Paulie & Iceburg • T ; One Shot ; wip
There is a ghost at Galley-La
-----
Lost to malfunction
• Zoro/Sanji • M ; multi chapter
For the first time, since coming to this rotten Island, Zoro felt safe.
"Don't you dare leave me."
"I won't."
-----
Heavy Weighs the Crown
• Doflamingo/Buggy • E
"Two charismatic leaders, one with the means to back his claims, one without, clash in this heartbreaking story of desire, passion, jealousy and betrayal. Witness a once in a lifetime romance, in a Lovestory that could break the grandline."
-----
Of Fathers and Sons
• Corazon & Zeff; Corazon & Law; Zeff & Sanji • T - M ; multi chapter
When Red Leg Zeff entered a small Island in the far North of East Blue he did not expect to find a starving Ex-marine. He also didn't expect to help the younger man find his adopted son. But hey, that was at least something Zeff could relate to.
-----
Crocodile Tears (name pending)
• Dragon/Crocodile ; Doflamingo/Crocodile • M - E ; Crocomom ; Backstory ; Dragon's a bit of a dick in this one ; as canon-complient as possible

Note
The winner is Linecook!Dabi!
Why? Home turf advantage.
Ok I'm gonna give each of them a "pro" list as I think through this chaos just for the fun of it.
Piercer!Touya (going with Touya to make things a little easier lmao)
Knows his way around a needle, has access to tools (aka he might not show up bare handed iykwim)
Blood will not make him woozy
Probably has a little bit of a sadist side, so his adrenaline might jump higher in a fight
This man has a 5 for 5$ deal that actually gets customers, so his rizz is just a bonus. If he's seen throwing hands, who knows who might come out of the woodwork to throw the nearest object to help him out (ie, linecook!Sanji with a skillet or something)
Line cook!Dabi
Has armor against taunts (food service, thick hide against people who yell at him)
Speaking of food service, this man has a few good years worth of pent up rage just ready to fly loose at a moment's notice. He might come out of that fight with that annoying tick in his jaw finally relaxed.
Good with his hands from flipping pancakes all day, high dexterity. Pow pow swoos lolz
Probably has hands experience bc of beef with linecook!Sanji, so fighting isn't anything new.
I'm gonna say Piercer!Touya hit up Waffle House after work for breakfast (it's 6pm) and linecook!Dabi has just had a foul day. His last cig was gone by noon, someone stole his stash of vodka hidden in the prep fridge, and Sanji ordered a dozen specials under a fake name and then never came to pick up the food (his check obviously bounced), so all that work for nothing. Besides that, the flat top hasn't been working most of the day and he doesn't get paid to be a maintenance man so who cares if people are getting half cooked food. Not his problem.
So when Touya gets his drippy ass pancakes, he makes a fuss. Dabi doesn't give a single fuck and makes that very clear. Long story short, no refund for Touya equals a bad day for both of them.
There is a long drawn out bout of broken knuckles and hair pulling and shin kicking. They literally breakthe last leg on all three (there's only three) of Waffle House's shoddy tables. There's a very short dance battle on the counter that almost ends the fight completely before Dabi laughs at Touya for tripping, where immediately Dabi loses a tooth from a sucker punch. Then Touya gets a burn on his left cheek🍑 when the fight makes its way into the kitchen and the flattop makes its own miraculous recovery.
The last leg of the fight however is very calm, chill if I must say.
Linecook!Dabi locks Piercer!Touya in the freezer and refuses to let him out until he agrees to fuck off. It takes a whole forty six minutes for Touya to cave.
LINE COOK!DABI IS VICTORIOUS!
ik he would pull through, you cannot underestimate those line cooks 😭 but the three tables in waffle house, touya getting a burn on his asscheek, and then touya taking a whole 46 minutes to cave had me CRYING 😭

So like. The thing. TO ME. Is that. Sanji and all of his siblings were genetically engineered.
And so ok. So with Reiju they werent able or didn't want to mess with her emotions yet. So she's like. Normal mostly, like in a nature-not-nurture sense. Like she's traumatized obviously but she didn't get her emotions messed with genetically.
And so Sanji and his brothers, they tried to mess with all of them, and their mom took a poison which was supposed to make them all not be genetically modified at all but it only worked on sanji. And I'm only halfway through wano but from accidentally seeing spoilers I'm getting the sense his gene mods were just like. Latent. In some way. Like he is mostly normal but in some quantity, he's still carrying the latent expression of the gene mods, though it seems like he probs still has emotions cause apparently due to an agreement zoro would kill him if he obviously stopped having those. Ok ✔️
So but all three of the others apparently are modified not to have emotions. And they have like some leeway there for story reasons - they laugh and are derisive and angry/cruel and stuff. But the one real genuine emotion they really display, the one that's least possibly a show they put on to seem more human, is they are really 😍😍😍 about girls. Like. The EXACT same way as sanji. Like seem to have one emotion, strongly, and that is: Cute Girl™️
Ok and bear with me here but I'm just saying that . I'm not SAYING but I'm just out loud wondering , maybe, if it may have seemed advantageous to Vinsmoke Judge specifically. If his sons. Whose emotions he chopped off. Were maybe genetically conditioned to actually have to one single emotion. One that would maybe make them easier to force into political marriage.
That like, . That sanji already is less heart eyes swooning over Nami and less willing to bend to her every whim even on the ship to wano, like when luffy goes and rides the giant koi. We saw sanji deliberately put himself (or pretend to) in that swooning heart eyes mode when he wanted to avoid worrying about his future and his friends. He literally uses his Germa suit ONE time and IMMEDIATELY uses it to spy on naked women - which is something he's always talked about, wanting to be invisible for that, but it defines that aspect of his character more to me.
Bc if Sanji was genetically modified to be obsessed with women and sex, but told by his father never to hurt women, he's at the mercy of those two pieces of programming, and being unaware of either, he wouldn't really think through any of his actions or feelings around them. Which would make his inability to see the contradiction between wanting to protect women and wanting to violate them via spying on them (but not necessarily willing to touch them in a majorly violating way) make sense.
And didn't Ivan say there was a reason he was sent to the kamabakka kingdom? I know the obvious reading is he was sent there to get better at cooking but they never said that straight out. It would make a lot of sense, whether sanji is queer or not, to have him spend time discovering his programming by spending time with people who have dedicated themselves to unworking social programming in themselves. If he would have stopped running away from any personal introspection or identity self-interrogation for one DAMN second I s2g
Idk I just mean that especially starting at WCI there's not NOTHING there in terms of strong hints Sanji's girl-crazy creep thing is like...not authentically his own, unmodified self.
(Two more things, specifically relating to zoro here and his pact, and their rivalry from back on that island with the giant pirates way back when. Obviously there's so much more than just this and it might be way off base but like -
It would make sense that zoro is so attuned to sanji being annoying at women since he's pretty much using observation haki since before the first time we meet him, just doesn't know it and it's not strongly developed. It would make sense if he senses some stuff about Sanji's actions being caused by something else, which pings his haki and bothers him but he doesnt know why, which makes him yell at sanji. A stretch but could be a thing esp if tied into -
If sanji's starting to go outside that programming and be less girl crazy, it would probably fit into zoro's definition of sanji acting "different" which could lead to an ironic kinda conflict of misunderstanding which would be a fascinating way to have sanji figure out he was programmed to be that way.)
ANYWAYS

Heart & Soul
Tumblr media
Our events coordinator may be a little under the weather, but we can still squeeze in something special for the 800th post. And there’s a cool element already you know, using what could be 8 & 10 for that. We won’t worry about that, you can take it as a reason to still hope or a cool element that would have just...inherently manifested by going with Kiku as your tenth at Quartermaster. If nothing else, I’m so sad we haven’t seen more of this pair. The shared “second life” element. The first bit letting it just sit there; Kiku is a rare person to not really even react to a talking skeleton just showing up and while Sanji’s smitten she’s one of the few pretty young women Brook doesn’t harass. I’ve always felt he matches tone, so it’s easier to laugh off. Gives Nami more shit than Robin because the latter has generally been nice about his...oddness.
So here’s where I long thought it’d be a cool tie though, between Thriller Bark and Wano if you look at them as recruitment arcs. It’s pretty simple. Thriller Bark and Moria are a premonition. The cost of rushing into the New World. Losing your crew and being eaten up inside to the point you lose your dreams. That pairs amazingly well with Brook, and especially Luffy finally hitting the bar of recruiting a former captain as his own star rises. Obviously Brook was a failed captain, but I think I’m on to something when Law echoes that beat in Sabaody through Jean Bart.
Kiku? It’s not an entirely different concept. Ties into Shanks a little even. Remember his now recurring gag about trying to poach Marco? That’s the only thing left for Luffy as a captain. Swaying someone with existing (earnest) loyalties. Kinda like Whitebeard did with Izo. He saw the potential immediately. Thriller Bark is all about when a captain loses the crew, and Luffy gets a musician out of it which was a big personal stamp for him since the start. If Wano ended up yielding a Quartermaster, it’d work well with it being an arc about a crew that lost their captain. Ideally it’d be a position about making them better, which fits with Kiku likely having more of an impression of Luffy as someone polite and mature than most.
Take all that and imagine how fucking cool a serious panel of Luffy going into a situation flanked by the two long, lanky figures towering over him would be...especially if you had the skeleton and the demon mask thing going on.
