#it’s also their weird twin flames thing where their riding is the only thing that matters and cal doesn’t superrr measure up

Note
2013 Marc and Vale have gotten together (sleeping together) and their not exclusive but they aren’t sleeping with anyone else either except vale in always flirting with Marc so is vale jealous does he talk to Marc does he talk to Cal or does he simply repress the feeling because feeling jealous would mean he cared for Marc more than he wants to admit and he’s like no I just want to sleep with him nothing more I definitely don’t want to cuddle him late into the night no way.
eye THINK the essence of this post is asking me if vale was jealous of cal crutchlow’s extended attempts to secret marc away to his cabin in the woods and have his way with him… and NO ! he thought that shit was hilarious. literally hopped on twitter to make a gay sex joke about it and then TAG them both. he’s chill ! BUT WATCH OUT. like i DO think he’s capable of being jealous, but with cal specifically?? naw. because he knew that cal was literally no threat at all ever. like the thing about early rosquez is yes they’re acting like it’s casual but it’s not casual AT ALL (CHAPPELL ROAN DOT MP3 BASS BOOSTED) but vale is also like, suppressing that knowledge like winning the repression olympics is a secret avenue to more WDC points. genuinely marc’s not an OPTION to him he won’t let him be ! never mind that marc and him ditched the condoms last week and haven’t fucked anyone worse for months ! like he’s trying hard not to REALIZE how bad he cares about marc because it’s at odds with his whole competition philosophy. he doesn’t even want to be friends with his rivals he literally cannot be in love with the guy who is supposed to be the next HIM. so he’s repressing it all. yayyyyy
BUT: i think vale is also at least subliminally aware that marc is pretty gone on him. AND the reasons why. like vale has an EXTREMELYYYY healthy ego and marc literally put a scene in his rookie year documentary that was a romantic monologue about vale being his friend and hero. he collected vale’s merch while actively riding against him. you would have to be a much dumber man than vale not to realize. and vale is not stupid! truly i suspect there was a vibe put forth from marc so potent that he looks back at it now and gets literally full body cringe like i do whenever i remember [REDACTED INFORMATION]. and so even if vale hasn’t realized at this point that marc is IN LOVE with him (and vice versa), he’s pretty certain he at least isn’t going to fuck CAL CRUTCHLOW. why would he? vale’s right here. and his hero. and has actually WON a championship. and marc thinks that’s hot !

Marcos Delmont HC's
A/N: omg he's here NOT EDITED
TW'S : YANDERE, MURDER MENTIONED, POSSESSIVE, WEED
Tumblr media
Marcos Delmont is the kinda guy your parents told you to stay away from, but you just can't help yourself.
6'2 and growing, he's not as big as his older brothers but he's still nothing to play with.
Possessive yandere give him all your love and everything will be smooth sailing.
Loves metal music.
Can play the guitar but rarely gets to.
Pierced his own ears in the kitchen one night cuz Manny bet he wouldn't.
Low-key a fashionista, no matter where he is he makes sure to look as good as possible.
Has a secret handshake with his twin.
He loves horror and thinks it's a romance genera.
When he smiles for real his eyes crinkle and the cutest dimple pops out on his left cheek.
Please wear his clothes.
Likes to take pictures of you, especially if you don't know he's there.
Bisexual and the last person to give him any shit about it ended up splattered all over the wall.
Sadistic in the way where he'll tease you until tears bead in your lashes just to kiss them away, he thinks you look so pretty when you cry for him.
But make no mistake, he's the only one allowed to make you cry. Anyone else who does is a problem. And he has a very permanent solution to those.
Has a warehouse in the dingiest part of town that's his little safe haven, this is where he likes to take his 'problems' has a drain in the floor for better clean up.
Killed the earliest out of all his brothers.
Also the best at it? Had a phase where he watched nothing but true crime just to learn what not to do.
Smells like good cologne and faintly of weed.
Has smoked the devils lettuce since he was a teenager and even has a side hustle where he sells it, no one besides Manny knows this, he's saving up to get away from his Father's iron grip.
It's not for moral reasons, he just has a problem with authority and taking orders for the rest of his life didn't fly with him.
Walks around like he knows he's the finest mf in the room.
Seems unshakable but between you and me he has days where all he does is lock himself in his room, bump mitski, and cry about the child he never got to be.
Huuuge fuckboy which is so ironic because all he wants is true, unrestricted, unconditional love, but he's terrified of letting anyone close enough to get it.
Bit of a pyro, loves how flames can be so beautiful and destructive at the same time.
Once lit a trash can on fire just to get his twin outta trouble.
Masochistic tendencies.
Kinda guy to smile like a psycho when someone tries to fight him because now he has an excuse to be violent.
Their last name carries serious weight in his town and he uses it to it's full advantage.
Since he's one of the youngest he's kinda spoilt, when he doesn't get his way immediately he will pitch a fit, someone usually ends up dead.
He and Manny have that weird twin telepathy.
Loves spicy food, it's the only thing he can make.
Knows how to ride a skateboard, before he could drive it's how he got around.
His reputation around campus was the guy you went to for the best bud, and if you wanted to get your back blown out no strings.
Tells people not to fall for him and they think he's being cocky, which to be fair he absolutely is, but it's also a valid warning.
Likes how people get addicted to him.
Never really felt all that bad when he broke hearts.
Then he meets you.
See before you He'd fool around with a guy and a girl in the same friend group and never have either find out, unless he was feeling particularly bored that day, then he'd tell them, but deliver it in such a 'heartfelt' and 'genuine' way they'd leave feeling sorry for upsetting him.
That all goes to say, he has an intimidating reputation by freshman year in college, but with the way your year had been, you deserved a good bake sesh to relax, so one day you muscled up the courage and took the plunge, unknowingly sealing your fate.
When he meets you, everything changes for him. You shyly pull him aside at the party of some asshole he can't remember, the girl he'd been chatting up literally tossed aside as he gave you his full attention. He'd seen you around campus before, darting between your friends and classes like a little bunny on a mission. The thought had him laser focused, what could such a sweet thing want with the schools big bad wolf?
"Hey Marcos right? I'm (Y/n). From science?" You stuck out your hand to shake his in what he could only describe as an adorable display of dork. He returned the gesture snd tried not to visibly jump at the jolt of electricity that ran up his arm the second he made contact with your soft skin.
"Hello (Y/n) from science." He took a purposeful sip of his cup, tongue flicking over the bottoms of his teeth, "What God do I gotta' thank for getting you to finally talk to me?" He could tell the laugh you gave was real and all of a sudden that's all he wanted to do, be the reason you made such pretty sounds.
"I heard you have good bud? Am I saying that right? I swear I'm not a narc I'm just poorly socialized." This time he genuinely laughed, the unfamiliar feeling blooming in his core- it scared him, terrified him in how fast he became addicted to it. "I think you're nailing it personally- here let's go upstairs I know just the thing to help." He made a big show of bowing for your hand which pulled more flustered giggles from you.
You moved to gently place your hand in his before hesitating. "This isn't gonna' cut to you 'Michael Myersing' me right?" He could see the actual worry hidden behind the humor you used and then and there something in him shifted, he usually took both delight and active participation in others despair, but that fearful look in your eye when you asked, didn't sit well within him all at, he dropped his hand to put down his drink at the closest counter, then quickly pulled out his phone before gesturing for you to do the same, and flipped it around to show an older womans smiling face.
"This is my mom's number- I do anything you don't like or say something particularly stupid, you can call her and tell her I'm up to no good which would in fact be signing my death certificate." You stared at him in disbelief before adding the number to speed dial, "Okay- lead the way." You nodded in the direction of the stairs pulling the grin back to his lips. He gently threaded his fingers with your own and all at once he understood why his Father's personality shifted in front of his Mother the way it did- why he softened for her.
First time he spends the night at your place he just assumes you wanna get down and dirty because he's never not fucked after being invited over, but then you're like 'no I actually just wanted to cuddle and talk, tell me about your day :)" he can tell your actually interested and it makes him feel all sorts of things, he's used to people wanting him for his body, so when you hold him against your chest he starts bawling.
He's never truly felt held, not like that, tells you he loves you that night.
"I'm not some bitch made guy who's gonna wait till' you say because that's what I'm "supposed" to do- I know what I feel, I know I love you."
Whines when you leave the bed, even if you're just going to pee he's waiting for you when you get back.
Likes the intimacy of bathing with you, not even sexy times, just being there in such a vulnerable state.
When he rolls up better believe you're in his lap, he claims his blunts come out prettier when he's looking at you.
Love languages are quality time, gift giving, and physical touch.
He's low-key insatiable when it comes to you, half of him feels immensely guilty he had partners before you and the other half is proud because those experiences made him know his way around the bedroom.

Because I'm sure this is going to be inevitable, how about some angst for the Chaos Trio (Mei, Jin and Yin)? With 61 and 52
Oh I have been looking forward to Chaos Trio angst since you sent me this, anon. Despite how they act in show... I think Jin and Yin are not exactly harmless. Especially if you mess with people they start to consider family.
The Cursed AU and the Chaos Trio in it come from @winterpower98!
Warning: blood and head injuries, enemy demons limbs (not detailed).
That is not a good hiding spot./I am a really bad actor.
Things had been going pretty well, all things considered. Jin and Yin had no problem getting Mei to join them in a little bit of... let's say "competitive insurance" as it were. They had to make sure they were secured in their own little tech related ventures, and after some financial setbacks they needed extra fallback. They’d planned the whole thing out with her help, more than 2 steps and everything! She was good at that.
The problem was that someone got a lucky hit.
They would have made it out with no problems, if they all hadn't decided going on Mei's motorcycle as a group (which, now that Yin thought about it, was probably incredibly dangerous and illegal with 3 of them on it... not that they cared about legality for themselves but somehow when it came to Mei that suddenly made them concerned). But nope. 1 bike. 3 people.
One lucky shot to the rear tire.
The three of them went flying, Mei landing very impressively on her feet whole Jin and Yin bounced on a bush and thanked anyone listening that demons were sturdier than humans. They didn't thank anyone for the pieces of bike that came flying at them all, and they were certain that they heard a piece make contact with something hard, maybe the nearby light pole, but couldn't be sure.
By the time they looked up they just knew they had a group of very angry demons that were pissed they stole and then wiped their code for... something, didn't matter to the twins what it was. They just wanted their competition out of the way. For solely selfish reasons. Nothing else. Not like they wanted it to see what it was and maybe figure out a counter attack so that certain overpowered people with monkey motifs would have an easier time in the future.
Not a chance.
As they fought off the attacking demons they insisted to themselves they didn't care that much.
"That is not a good hiding spot!" Jin yelled across the battlefield as Yin ducked behind crates. "Just chuck it for now and beat em with the blunt end of something else!"
"Just give me 2 seconds, I can fix it!" Yin yelled back, trying his best to reassemble a part of his sword hilt that had broken off.
"Come on, these guys ain't so tough!" Mei laughed out, easily dodging projectiles and backsliding and slicing and dicing as she went. No one was actually killed, but they were lucky because the only reason for that was the young woman wasn't exactly out for blood. They'd be feeling every single hit well into morning though! She was doing much better than the two of them. "Grab a pipe or something! Wish I had MK's magic building power though, I'd rather not be here all-YIN!"
The younger twin looked up from where he had been crouched, eyes widening as he saw the form of a much larger demon hulking over him and ready to batter him with a club.
Things had been going well. All things considered. Then someone got a second lucky hit.
Right as Mei dove in to push the younger silver twin out of the way.
For a second the fighting stopped. There was just the sound of wood hitting hard plastic and fiberglass as the club was sliced in half by her sword and the lopped off half continued it's trajectory and slammed into Mei's head to lead to her crumbling on top of Yin. Jin stood on too of a pile of crates, watching as a line of red seeped through a crack in her visor and stained the white of her suit.
And then his entire vision was red as he lunged at the demon and sliced, sending his arm flying in the opposite direction.
The demon screamed, holding the stump that was his arm from the elbow down, backing away as quickly as he could. "W-what the hell!?"
"Mei," Yin said softly, carefully clicking the emergency release button to make her helmet digitize away. Her eyes were closed, blood dripping from a slice running along her scalp... but as far as he could tell it was from part of the helmet being cracked and cutting her. She was most likely knocked out from the impact, breathing odd but steady in her unconscious state. "You... we're going to get you to the hospital."
His tone hardened as he carefully laid her on the ground, standing tall as he grabbed his broken weapon and a nearby piece of broken steel.
"You. Are going. To pay for that," Yin said coldly, stance no longer lose and half playful as it had been the whole battle. His stood tall, eyes wide and cold and the demons surrounding them felt a chill run down their spines.
Jin stood in front of him, blood from the other demon splattered across his face and chest in a stark contrast to his orange visage.
This... this wasn't the pair of Gold and Silver Demons they had heard about before. They were known for not taking almost anything seriously, making bad deals and pacts and weird blood oaths they wasted on bizarre favors. They were known for being good at tach but not much else, most demons in the area knew vaguely of their history with the Monkey King but even that ended in failure. Their plans were half baked, goofy, and lately they'd heard they'd gotten roped in with the Monkey King's successor and renewed flame of the Six-Eared Macaque.
The two standing before them did not look like the demons they'd heard about.
Mei hadn't wanted to seriously hurt anyone. The demons heard her yelling as much on the battlefield. But now Mei was hurt.
And the twins did.
It happened fast. They wanted to get it over with quickly. Mei had also not wanted to kill anyone at the very least the twins could do was keep up their promise from earlier in the day to avoid that. And they did.
That didn't mean there weren't lost limbs. Hands and arms. A leg or two. More than a couple eyes were lost. Someone lost an ear. Another a tail and horn.
Injuries they could recover from meant as warnings.
All it took was 3 minutes and the entire storage area they crashed in was a mix of grey and brown and red. Demons holding their injuries or running off.
The one who had attacked Yin and hurt Mei stood in awe and fear, looking down at the smaller twins who has decimated an entire group so fast.
"I-how!?" He yelled, backing up slowly. "This isn't possible, you're not this strong!"
"Who told you that?" Yin asked slowly, tilting his head and watching as the demon realized... he'd never heard they couldn't fight. "We don't fight like this because we don't want to. Never meant we can't."
"Why?"
"We are really bad actors," Jin said, wiping the blood off his weapon on an unconscious demon's shirt. "Why bother trying to hold back when we can just hide it by not trying?" He turned to the demon, glowering coldly as he watched his brother pick Mei up carefully. "Tell anyone who asks nothing. We'd like to keep it that way. Unless you want a round two where someone else doesn't hold us back."
And then they were gone.
~
"What in the actual hell happened?" Macaque asked in an even tone. Practiced even. A dangerous even.
"Well-" "You see boss-" "we kinda-" "-there was-"
Jin and Yin tried to think of a reasonable excuse, faltering as everything they thought of sounded worse and worse in their heads.
The two sat in Mei's hospital room, towels draped around their shoulders. They’d been smart enough to stash Mei's bike somewhere safe and wash off in the ocean before coming to the hospital, less covered in demon blood meant less scared humans when they rushed in with Mei in tow, and it was easy to make the nurses believe them.
Simple bike accident, friend hurt, help please.
With Macaque staring them down with his patented death glower, shadows growing and warping around the room in response to him, it was infinitely harder.
Of course Mei's emergency contact was MK. Of course MK could call Macaque before her parents (who were apparently on their way back from some kind of dragon family business trip when they learned). Of course Macaque would show up almost immediately and begin asking questions.
"It was my fault," Mei chimed in, voice slightly off from having awoken with a nasty concussion. "I thought it'd be fun to go on a joy ride late at night, I've done it before without issues! But, uh... I've never had two passengers before... and we hit something. Don't be mad at them?"
Macaque looked like he believed Mei as much as he believed Tang would lose interest in the Monkey King and switch his field of study to obscure methods of basket weaving. Which is to say: he didn’t. But he sighed, giving Mei a small smile as the shadows returned to normal.
"Ok," he said softly, tone much more gentle with the dragon descendant as he reached out to brush loose hair out of her face. "I won't be mad at them. I'll be very disappointed-" his tone hardened for a second at those words as he turned to the twins with a glower again. "-but I won't be mad. Do you need anything?"
"Maybe a candy bar from the vending machines outside?" Mei asked with a smile.
"Sure," Macaque laughed and shook his head, moving to the corner of the room. "I'll be right back."
He sunk into the shadows, a cool trick that the twins would always be impressed by, and they breathed a sigh of relief at knowing they were alone. For now.
"You didn't have to do that," Jin said, frowning at Mei in concern. Maybe it was just because he was now the eldest in the room, but some kind of protective feel pulled at him.
"I know," Mei said with a tired laugh, laying back into her pillow. "But you guys are like... my bros. I gotta stand up for my bros."
And that made both Jin and Yin pause. They looked at each other, eyes widening as they both came to a realization that was probably a very long time coming at that point.
"Yeah..." Yin said, a soft smile forming on his face. "We'd do the same for you... you know, if you didn't take that hit for me you probably would have kicked everyone's ass way better than us! We barely got out by the skin of our teeth!" A full truth and a blatant lie, but he hoped Mei wouldn't pick up on that second part.
"You know it, boi!" She didn't.
It was odd for him in particular. Yin had never really thought of himself as an older brother before.
First time for everything.

Thinking journal for season 12 Prime Empire 😎😎😎 (2/2)
Here we go with the next part! I really hope we get some major big plot twist at some point, because it's all really cool but I need something to really change from good to GREAT
For now, let's focus on the next episodes!
It's the 17th of April and here we go!
GENERAL
I feel like there's little time to really pull up something, I don't know. Like, what plot twist could happen now that there just half season left with only Unagami/Dyer's identity and maybe Scott's past as mysteries? There's little space for more plotlines, that's what I think
Overall fighting scenes, character designs and game backgrounds are AWESOME!!
Let's see how it goes, maybe I'll be surprised. Wouldn't be weird for Ninjago to pull a bomb last episode 😅
ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACK
ZANE AND PIXAL FINALLY!!! IT'S DETECTIVE TIME!!! 😎
Okay, so there is a photo, and there is a friend. As I thought, Dyer might not be Unagami at all, I feel like there's a lot of backstory coming along. I wonder if Scott has a part in this... WHERE IS SCOTT 💙
Ah, of course Kai would spend his credits on an avatar, I should've known, my flame babe can be such a dummie sometimes I mean why would you even do such a thing as buying an avat-
Tumblr media
NEVER MIND I LOVE IT 😍😍🔥🔥 I thought him being blonde was going to bother me, I actually kinda like the change. Still prefer my baby brunette, but it's really cool as well. The best of this season are definitely the characters designs
Was that "let's fight an ogre mission" a hint for next season? I wouldn't be weird, but it's been a while since I've seen forshadowing for new season in this show
HECK YEAH THE DANCING EPISODE!!! I was waiting for this, Jaya is so cute while they are on the dancefloor 😍 They have chemistry 😘😘😘
I like the implication that Nya was really bad at dancing before Jay, like Kai covering his eyes because he cannot handle her sister not being perfect at something 😛
And Cole being the dance expert, that little tango moment with Kai I bet made many lavashippers super happy 🖤❤🖤❤
THE TRIPLE TIGER SASHAY ALL THE WAY FROM SEASON 1-2 ABSOLUTELY YES YES YES!!! AND HE DIDN'T ROAR, HE STRAIGHT UP SAID "NO ONE PUTS COLE IN A CORNER" I'M DYING!!! With this and Nya's 'catch me', I expect so many Dirty Dancing AUs from this 😂👌
JAYA BEING AWESOME HECK YEAH ❤💙❤💙
JUST LOOK AT THEM!!! Nya better say I love you back soon, like Kai and Skylor are a little behind, Zane and Pixal already said it, Jay can't stop doing it, come on girl it's your turn! 😎😎
Tumblr media
RACER SEVEN
SCOTT IS BACK YES!!! 😍😍😍💙💙💙
Okay, I think my theory won't happen 😅 Feels like there are not enough episodes for a good reveal, and it doesn't seem like Scott is that influenced by Jay. My last idea is that perhaps he has spent so much time in the game like Jay said (POOR BABY 😭) that he doesn't remember. Maybe the moment he will come back, we will find out that it is Jay's brother/twin, I mean he still has those dragon and lightnings drawing on his back... yeah I like this theory a lot, gonna hold on to it!
So Scott is indeed a person trapped in a game, at least that's confirmed 👍
Also he's got some major issues, the poor thing, and I think there is some special reason behind him not wanting to race besides having just one life.
HERE IT COMES
Tumblr media
OH MY GARMADON 😂😂😂 Okay, okay, it's actually better than I expected really. The scarf is cool, and so are the golden tattoos, the suit and the golden sleeve. It's just the mohawk that will take time to get used to, it's not even bad, just weird 🤷‍♀️
Racer Seven is so cool! Always nice seeing a new female character in this show that is not a love interest. I do love Nya, Pix and Sky to death, but I love variety too 💪
Really, really nice the piece of all Racer Seven's crashes! Impactful and sad, a never ending loop that she wants to break through from. That's the heavy stuff I like!
Okay, ready for the race! And I'm... scared? Like, a lot of they guys have one life?? KAI HAS ONE LIFE?? 😱😱 I hope for the best I guess 😅
THE SPEEDWAY FIVE-BILLION
Might be my favorite episode yet
Seven is SO COOL, it's another reason why I'm sad these episodes are so short! I really would had liked see her more, truly have her bond with the guys
Soooo... I guess since Scott's been in the game for 30 years it's safe to assume he's not Jay's brother/twin. To be fair it's really hard to tell a LEGO person's age😅 At this point I guess he could be either Dyer's friend, even if it sounds unlikely, or... idk, still think he could have a connection with Jay. Maybe he's like... an older brother? Libber had him a long while ago?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! WHY DID SCOTT HAVE TO DIEEEEEEEE??? 😭😭😭 Just when he was getting more involved, come on! He even said he wanted to try that hero stuff, I love him! WE WILL SAVE YOU MY TECH BABY!!!
Cole getting a ride from Kai, this season has some pretty good lava material ❤🖤❤🖤
I've got some major Ninjaball Run vibes from this, that brings me back 😂 Even the no rules thing is there, come on, there has to be a little bit of inspiration from it!
Still don't know what I think of the rats, kinda seems useless and annoying, gonna be honest. But it's a nice race, exciting with nothing big happenin-
Kai and Cole sacrifice for Jay
Tumblr media
I KNOW I THOUGHT ABOUT IT BEFORE BUT I'M NOT OKAY WITH THIS!!! MY FLAME BABE AND MY ROCKY BABY!!! 😭😭😭😭 WHY PEOPLE KEEP DYING IN THIS EPISODE???
I so, so enjoyed how they did it. Like, one look between them to realize that yes, this is it, Jay is the expert and needs to go on. This is the end of our race... AAAHHH!! (Infinite shipping potential too)
Omg Nya screaming her brother's name and Jay his best friend's name, while Lloyd looks so devastated (those masks are actually kinda espressive, I really like them). Wow. This is the angst I needed, finally👌
YES SEVEN WON!!! HECK YEAH GIRL!!! SO HAPPY FOR HER!!! Also Okino in the background being happy, nice touch!
And now they are three... it's gonna end up with only Jay huh. I... I'm not ready actually, my heart 😢 They better all hug when this is all over!!!
STOP, DROP AND SIDE ROLL
I CAN SEE THEY ARE KEEPING THE FEELS FOR LAST APPARENTLY??? 😭
The music of the old school section was actually very nice, reminds me of the past, I kinda hoped The Fold were going to release some game themed songs. Been a while since I have one of those 😍
Lol, explaining the side scroll games was actually pretty cool
YES THEY ACTUALLY ACKNOWLEDGED THE AIRJITSU!! Maybe they will remember they can used it, right Cole? The ladder scene? YOU CAN FLY???
OMG NYA ACTUALLY SAID CICLON-DO JUST HOW CUTE IS THAT!!! All the way from my favorite season Possession, Jay's definition of airjitzu that I actually still kept in one of my fanfictions 😂
Tumblr media
Okay the design of the temple of madness is REALLY cool, you can immediately tell it's from an old videogame. Gives me the double vibe the googles for the first 3D movies used to give me 😂
Also look at this
Tumblr media
THIS IS ADORABLE!! 💙💚💦 Really old style videogame 😂
And there we go!! Harumi!! Since I saw her in the set I was wondering what she was going to be, maybe an avatar or an NPC of some sort... THIS HURTS WAY MORE!!! And of course pure heart BABY boy Lloyd doesn't feel good fighting her, he had a crush on her! AND HE FREAKING SAW HER DIE!!! It's really sad that he still hopes for her to be good...
The fighting scenes are really, REALLY good! So fluid and active! This fight was really pleasant to watch, not gonna lie 💜
NOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOT MY GREEN BABY BOY!!!! I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN BUT STIIIIIIL!!! 😭😭😭
Okay, down to three members. Remaining Zaptrap and water godess... omg Nya will totally die first and at that point Jay will go completely nuts. I'm both scared and DYING TO HAPPEN!!! ANGST FINALLY!!! THIS IS THE STUFF!!
Got some major Skybound feeling, like when it was only Jay and Nya... will Nya finally say I love you back?? I HOPE SO ❤💙❤💙
With the three keytana now, what will happen? I'm actually curious now, this is the exciting stuff I need! And yes I do realize it's a little weird that for getting hype I need my faves to die 😅
NINJAGO CONFIDENTIAL
OMG THEY ACTUALLY DID A DETECTIVE THEMED EPISODE BLACK AND WHITE I'M DYING 😂😂😂
The Weekend Whip with sax, never thought I needed this in my life 😍
Bet Brent had a blast recording this
Okay this is the third Chima reference I see, they better throw some Nexo Knights hits as well next season! Come on, it's about freaking knights!!!
This is not what I expected when they said there was going to be an episode with only Zane and Pixal but I'm sure as HECK not complaining 👌
Oh, seeing Pixal joining in so normally is so beautiful, I really wish we could have her even more often
Dareth's karaoke bar! From Sons of Garmaron! Also him guessing first try because the ninja really do get post in other dimensions very often 😂 Gotta love them indeed
Pff Zane narrating and getting stopped every time because of it, how I missed this naive little nindroid
So the bartender Tony is the friend? That's it? A little easy really, hoped for more... still calling him Milty is cute 💕
Buddy's Pizza from season 2!!! This season is killing me with references and I LOVE IT SO MUCH 💜💜💜
So, the mechanic is free again (the Kryptarium dudes should really learn how to do their job right 😓), Zane is kidnapped, and Pixal has a fedora that makes her possibly even cuter. I have emotions
AH!! KNEW IT!! UNAGAMI IS NOT DYER!! FREAKING CALLED IT!!... kinda expected really, but still called it 😅
So Unagami was the first name of Prime Empire and is also an AI that got crazy and was shut down, but now is back after programming the game itself and wants to get to the real world?... I'm down with it
So I'm guessing we won't get much of a Scott backstory... Eh, let's see how it goes!
THE PRODIGAL FATHER
I was seriously confused by why those dudes wanted to kidnapped Wu, but it made sense later. Still come on sensei, you're a freaking half god or something, pull yourself together 🤦‍♀️
Very nice that Pixal is the one to bring up the argument about feelings and AI. So very nice to have her in this!!!
I THOUGHT ZANE WAS GOING TO TAKE A BREAK FROM LAST SEASON, WHY ARE THEY MAKING HIM SUFFER AGAIN??? 😭
Oh finally the backstory of Unagami I'm really curious about what happened in the past and what exactly brought the shut down of Prime Emp-
Tumblr media
I LITERALLY CARE ABOUT NOTHING ELSE BUT THIS BEAUTIFUL GAMER BOY IN REAL LIFE!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
So Scott was the first beta tester, Milton asked Unagami to make the experience as exciting as possible, and that ended very badly so the game was shut down and THEY LEFT HIM INSIDE FULLY KNOWING HE WAS THERE??? I HATE DYER NOW!!!
Although it is really interesting knowing a tech genius like him, until now we got Dr. Julien and Cyrus Borg that were plenty open about the idea of AI with feelings as meaningful as humans'. While he doesn't get that, they are only machines for him and that's the reason why he doesn't understand how much Unagami is mad and filled with need for revenge.
This is why I want more than 11 minutes, the themes of this season are really, REALLY cool. I would have loved more introspection and development.
I guess Scott being Jay's brother is officially debunked 😅 Although I am curious about the life he left behind, since he was stuck in that game for 30 years. He still has those lightnings on the jacket I don't understand...
DON'T YOU DARE LET ZANE BE DESTROYED AGAIN PLEASE I STILL CRY WATCHING "THE TITANIUM NINJA"!!! 😢😢😢😢😢😢
The portal is open, Zane might get destroyed, Unagami wants revenge, Jay and Nya are the only one left and I'm pretty sure Nya will be killed as well leaving only Bluebell so there's THAT. So yeah, this is actually pretty cool!
Two episodes left. Okay Ninjago season 12 Prime Empire, wow me 😎
THE TEMPLE OF MADNESS
This felt a little simple if I'm gonna be honest. I felt like the last mission before facing Unagami was a little basic, with nothing really exciting. Still liked it, but this is probably my least favorite episode 🤷‍♀️
Of course, put Jay is a sushi restaurant-themed level and he will kill you with puns 😂 I love this prankster
Again, the fighting scenes are dope. Definitely one of my favorite things since they changed the animation. You lose something you win something 😙
Wooo, Jay saying that he had trained for years just for kick his butt was actually cool! Bluebell is unleashing!
"And that's how we roll!". You rock we roll, am I right 😂
Tumblr media
AH!!! CALLED IT!!! TOTALLY CALLED IT!!! MY POOR BABY BLUEBELL 😭😭
I wish Nya said that she loves Jay back though! Freaking come on girl, he is your yang!!! ❤💙❤💙
Unagami is not Dyer, he wants to get to the real world, I'm actually kinda curious about the confrontation that is about to happen... ALSO THERE BETTER BE LOTS OF HUGS WHEN THIS IS OVER
I... genuinely forgot about the dragon medallion 😅 Eh, I love dragons so I'm fine with it. Well, let's see how it ends!!!
GAME OVER
Wow, I actually love this ending?? A LOT?? After last episode I didn't have much hope, but after seeing it I gotta say, it was really great 👌👌
Thanks for not dying on us again Zane, much appreciated
Jay taking charge is quite rare and when it happens you know things are about to get crazy 😂 It was really nice seeing how sensible he could be, telling that Unagami wasn't evil after all, that he needed closure and answers
I know I miss the animation peak we reached with SoG and Hunted, but I gotta say the atmosphere of the city with the lightnings and the gray sky was really awesome. Very cool.
Pff, that part with the elevator though, reminds me of the one in season 1 that made me start watch Ninjago ✌ Also it's always Borg's Tower indeed 😂
OKINO KICKING BUTTS HECK YEAH LOOK AT OUR RONIN GO!!!
And wow. WOW. I didn't expect Jay to drop the I'm adopted bomb on us, I think I never heard him talk about it since Skybound (that technically never happened so 😅). It was SO good seeing him sympathize with Unagami because he was also left with no explaination. His desire to know, along with the hope that the past is the past, but they had a good reason for. Also he freaking said he didn't have the chance to ask because Cliff is dead and I 😭😭😭😭
And here I melted, because we finally see the situation for what truly is, the way Jay also sees it: Unagami is a kid, a child that doesn't understand how the world works, that just wants to make his father proud but got rejected instead. The confrontation was actually touching, I really wish we had more time for that. Even a little resistance from Unagami, another fight, and a finally reconcilliation with Dyer.
MY NINJA BABIES ARE BACK I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! ❤💚💙🖤💦💎
Tumblr media
Could you seriously be cuter than this?? ❤💙❤💙 I wished for more hugs but I'll settle for this I guess 😍
Okay, very nice to see Seven and Okino out there and deciding to live their lives in Ninjago, nice to see some others like the rats going back to Prime Empire. As Unagami said, he gave them a choice, it's up to them at this point
But I'm sorry, WHY ARE WE NOT GOING TO TALK WITH SCOTT??? That guy's been trapped inside the game the longest, not even a "Hey bud, you're alive, cool cool"? I know I've been overbearing about how much I love Scott, especially since I had all those theories about him (still don't know why he has lightnings on his jacket and hat, is it just a style thing? Idk), but come on! Well I guess if he's happy I am 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media
Is that his girlfriend or something? After 30 years? Or maybe she got trapped with him a while later? Or maybe that's his... mom? Look, we all know determine the age of LEGO characters is hard, give me a break please 😅😅
Overall, very nice ending, it brought everything together quite nicely. I'm satisfied, yes!! 💜💜
FINAL THOUGHTS
As I said, the episodes' lenght I really think gets in the way of making this an excellent season. There is so much that could be explored more, the choice matter, all the amazing characters, and the AI feelings stuff from the latest episodes. There is room for more, I wished we got that
The characters though were really amazing. Between Scott, Okino, Seven and Unagami himself, there were very different personalities with very different dreams and thoughts, that made this ride much more interesting
Fighting animation was 👌👌👌
Comebacks from past seasons were 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Maybe it didn't really focused on Jay as much until the end? Yeah it was about him, but we got to see his sensibility and his past only last episode. He loves Nya, he likes videogames, of course but there's more about him than meets the eye! Wished we saw that, but in general it was nice seeing him first line again 💙
I liked this season. It has flaws, but I enjoyed many parts and at the end I was left satisfied 👍
Just... wasn't Jillian supposed to be in this? Or is it next season? She said a mom was going to come back, I took for granted it was going to be Edna. I'm curious about next season now... FINALLY A COLE SEASON EVERYONE!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Thank you for leaving notes to my last rant, this helps me not jump excitedly every time a new episode comes out 😅 Well then, that's all from me!! Have a nice day everyone!! 💜💜💜

Lentils’ 2020 Christmas Movie Rankings
My wife and I watched a lot of Christmas movies this year, and I thought it would be fun to rank them based on which ones I think were most watchable and enjoyable. I’ve left out a few that we watched during this time period, which are classic Christmas movies (Miracle on 34th Street), action movies set at Christmas (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3), or older romances set around Christmas (While You Were Sleeping and You’ve Got Mail), because it’s not fair to rank these amongst, well, some of the movies we saw.
my top 5, for those of you who don’t like reading (which is fair): The Princess Switch: Switched Again, Dashing in December, The Princess Switch, Jingle Jangle, Happiest Season.
my top 3 Chaotic Christmas Movies: A New York Christmas Wedding, 12 Pups of Christmas, The Princess Switch: Switched Again. Please watch these movies if you enjoy chaotic plots. Please especially watch the first two I listed because holy shit my summaries do not properly convey the chaos.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again (2020): Some people on the internet have been VERY RUDE about this movie and I’m sorry they don’t appreciate a true chaotic holiday gem when they see it. This movie involves two Vanessa Hudgenses, Scheduled Vanessa and Spontaneous Vanessa, who are distant cousins and not twins, switching places to try to facilitate Spontaneous Vanessa getting back together with her ex the baker, but Scheduled Vanessa is intercepted by a third cousin Vanessa, Horny Vanessa, who wants to take Spontaneous Vanessa’s place as queen. I don’t want to spoil anything that happens in this movie so that you can experience the batshittery for yourself, but I found every second absolutely delightful. It also has two very good romantic couples who are cute and who genuinely seem to like each other, which is not something I can say for every movie on this list!
Dashing in December (2020): This movie has gay cowboys, is set on a ranch, and features a squaredancing scene, so if that isn’t your bag, you are probably not going to like it very much. I found it deeply charming and the only reason it isn’t #1 is that three quarters of the way through, the lead suddenly turns back into a giant jerk for no real reason and that was very upsetting. But it all works out in the end. The main romance is very cute, there are horses, the horsemanship doesn’t totally suck ass, and there are some fun side characters. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s pleasant.
The Princess Switch (2018): Again, some people are mean about this movie and they shouldn’t be because it is CUTE GODDAMMIT. It is absolutely The Prince and the Pauper but with two Vanessa Hudgenses, but also, it shows the aforementioned two good romantic couples falling in love and they are delightful. I am not saying this is a great masterpiece of romance, but the filmmakers actually tried to give these characters reasons to like each other, which, again, is not true for some of the movies on this list.\
Jingle Jangle (2020): I kind of feel bad putting this movie on the same list as TV movies that were obviously just shit out by Hallmark or whoever, because this clearly had a lot of love and heart put into it, and it really shows. I was so immediately charmed by this movie that I didn’t even mind when it immediately went in very silly directions. I don’t know if the plot makes sense at all (a cute robot shows up for seemingly no reason other than that cute robots are fun!) but it doesn’t have to, because everyone is having so much fun and there’s so much joy in this movie that I was just happy to be along for the ride. Also, I would love to see an entire movie in the stop-motion style from the opening scene.
Happiest Season (2020): I absolutely understand why some people didn’t like this movie, and I don’t want anyone to feel like they can’t dislike it, and also, it’s MY movie, and I love it, and I’m not interested in fighting about it. It helped me come out to my parents and also featured two of my faves kissing and that’s all I need.
Noelle (2019): I was previously under the impression this movie was bad, and I don’t know why, because it’s a little embarrassing and cheesy at times, but it’s sweet. I suspect what will make or break it for you is if you like Anna Kendrick, and because I like Anna Kendrick, I like watching her play a neurotic Claus sibling trying desperately to fix the problem she accidentally caused. One weird thing though: this movie tried to convince me about halfway through that she was both spoiled and selfish, and I don’t actually think that’s true at all. I think she was a little naive and sheltered and wanted people to like her way too much, but she’s not really shown to be a selfish person - she’s constantly paying attention to other people in the real world and her brother is the one who refused to admit that he wasn’t cut out for the Santa gig and instead fucked off to “find himself” or whatever. It was weird! But anyway, I liked this movie a lot.
I’ll Be Home For Christmas (1998): So this movie...one Christmas Eve when I was in high school, I was having trouble falling asleep for whatever reason so I went downstairs to get some water. My mom happened to have the TV on and this movie was just starting, and she invited me to join her. Fun fact: this movie went to theaters and it stars Jonathan Taylor-Thomas and Jessica Biel. It is one of the dumbest movies I’ve ever seen in my life and at no point does anyone in it actually behave like a human being. It’s about a smooth-talking jackass who has to be bribed to come home for Christmas and then, after one of his dumbass moneymaking schemes lands him in hot water, he gets abandoned in the middle of the California desert wearing a Santa suit and glued-on beard. He then has to beg, lie, and cheat his way home for Christmas dinner so that his dad will give him a vintage Porsche they fixed up together. I have no defense for this character; he is insufferable and only becomes marginally less so by the end of the film. But also, I have to watch this movie every year (usually with my mom, although not this year for obvious reasons) or it doesn’t feel like Christmas.
A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish (2019): We own this on DVD and have seen it three times. In our defense, we wanted to support Gregg Sulkin from Runaways and Isabella Gomez from One Day at a Time, both of whom feature prominently in this movie, and also sing songs. This is just Cinderella But At Christmas, and if that doesn’t sound like fun to you, I don’t think anything I can say will change your mind. I will say that the songs are amusingly autotuned, there’s a disabled dog that’s very cute, and I personally think that the leads have slightly better chemistry than some of the pairs on this list. But it is literally just another Cinderella Story movie.
The Knight Before Christmas (2019): This movie is Thor (2011) But At Christmas, and it would have been slightly higher except I always forget about the plot where at the end the knight becomes a cop. Bad, obviously! But anyway, the plot of this movie is: nice but clueless dude crash-lands on Earth for Reasons and bumbles around trying to figure out what’s up, while falling in love with a nice lady. That’s just Thor and you know I’m right. And for as dumb as this movie is, at least it’s ambitious. I have learned that Christmas movies can do one of two things to please me: a) have actors that have decent chemistry and charm and are fully committed to whatever nonsense is going on, or b) have absolutely batshit chaotic plots. This movie is like a 4 out of 5 on the chaos scale and I like it a lot, besides the copaganda. I hope this also gets made into a trilogy and Cole isn’t a cop anymore.
A Christmas Prince 3: The Royal Baby (2019): I will get into my problems with the first two Christmas Prince movies later, but my main criticism is that they are kind of boring and not chaotic enough. This one decided to make up for that by incorporating a missing ancient treaty, a curse, and a ghost, as well as a subplot about Girl Power (I use this semi-ironically) and a subplot about cousin Simon potentially committing treason again. I was so excited that things were happening in this movie the first time I watched it that I may be a little biased, but oh well. Oh, I was also absolutely terrified it was going to be racist and it is...mostly not? There are a few questionable moments but like mostly it’s fine.
Christmas With the Prince (2018): I wanted to watch this because the summary on Netflix did not match the summary on Google at all, and that’s because, uh, they’re both sort of right? Ostensibly this movie is about a pediatric oncologist who comes back into contact with an old almost-flame, who just happens to be the prince of a tiny European country, because he fucked up his leg and needs somewhere private to stay. And apparently a pediatric oncology ward is the best place for that? But then after they fall in love this random Russian lady shows up and is like “that’s my fiance.” This happens maybe twenty minutes from the end. Anyway, this movie isn’t great but I liked the lead guy way more than I thought I would and it has some cute kids in it.
A New York Christmas Wedding (2020): I...am at a loss for words to describe this...motion picture. On the surface it is a cute idea: a young Black woman, Jennifer, is getting married to her boyfriend on Christmas Eve, but she’s given a chance by her guardian angel (stay with me) to go back in time and redo her life, after losing touch with her childhood best friend, Gabrielle, who she was always in love with but never confessed her feelings to. She wakes up in an alternate timeline, where she and Gabrielle have been together for years and her beloved father is still alive. Then the movie, uh...veers off into some very odd places! They go to their Catholic priest and ask him to marry them, and he is like “but the Bible” and they are like “but that’s bullshit” and he’s like “shrug” and then later during a sermon he’s like “actually that IS bullshit, everyone gay in this church come stand up here with me. We love you. Also we’re going to perform a wedding now” and then he marries Jennifer and Gabrielle. And then Jennifer’s angel shows up and is like “you have to choose between this life and your old life now” and then uh...I really hate to spoil this next thing. It is the weirdest choice I’ve ever seen a movie make and if you’re even the slightest bit interested in this movie, I think you should experience this plot point for yourself. I’m going to put the batshit spoiler in ROT13 in case you want to avoid spoiling yourself. (GJ: fhvpvqr) Wraavsre'f thneqvna natry erirnyf gung ur vf gur fba bs Tnoevryyr, jub va gur bevtvany gvzryvar tbg certanag nf n grra naq ure snzvyl frag ure gb n ahaarel. Fur zvfpneevrq naq fhofrdhragyl qvrq ol fhvpvqr. Uvf anzr vf Nmenry Tnovfba. Anyway, uh, this movie isn’t very good, unfortunately, the adult leads have no chemistry and Gabrielle’s adult self is actively unlikable (the teen versions of them are cute!), but I think it’s 1000% worth a watch for the sheer chaos of it all. I...recommend it for that, I guess? Oh, also there’s a sex scene that plays a slow sexy version of “O Christmas Tree” in the background and I felt like I was losing my mind.
A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding (2018): As I said in my commentary on the third movie in this series, the worst sin this movie commits is being kind of boring. It also manages to make the romantic hero, Richard, even worse than in the first movie, where he was just kind of useless and petulant, because in this movie he is actively failing to do anything to revive the failing economy of his country. I have seen people complain that the prince in The Princess Switch and Cole in The Knight Before Christmas have no personalities; they are delightful compared to the wet paper bag of a man in this movie. Rose McIver is adorable and I don’t think any of this is her fault, she’s doing her best in these movies, but woof.
12 Pups of Christmas (2019): The Google summary of this movie, which we found on Hulu, is this: “Struggling to keep his dog GPS locator company afloat, Martin expects his new hire, Erin, to help him save the company and find homes for 12 puppies that were left behind after a photo shoot. As they work together, Erin and Martin begin to discover each other's positive qualities and find love just in time for the holidays.” My wife and I love dogs, so we put this on, expecting cute dogs. This movie contains approximately 80% chaos and 20% cute dogs. It opens with our heroine, a canine therapist, coming home from work to have dinner with her fiance and best friend. We find out that Erin and fiance are moving to California soon for her new job (they live in New York). Fast forward a few days to their courthouse wedding, at which point her fiance and best friend confess to having an affair, and she is dumped. Heartbroken, she moves to California alone, and ends up moving into the company-provided house. It is just a two-story house (??) that the CEO’s sister owns (???) and rents out to employees (????). Also Erin is, as the Google summary says, expected to come up with some grand idea to save the company. And there are 12 random puppies also. They are cute puppies. Oh, also Martin, the CEO of the dog collar company, hates dogs for some reason. Martin’s sister is aggressively friendly towards Erin in a way that I interpreted as sapphic. At one point, after they find a home for dog #3, Erin’s former BFF shows up on her doorstep (?????) begging to be let in. She insists that the fiance was also two-timing her, and she has proof that he had FIVE OTHER GIRLFRIENDS ALL AROUND THE COUNTRY - “that’s why he’s a traveling businessman”!!!! Erin never asks to see her proof, but I guess she believes her, because she lets her inside and then makes her take care of the remaining eight dogs out of spite. I guess they make up at some point. Anyway, somewhere in here Erin and Martin are starting to fall in love and also come up with a way to rebrand the business, so hooray for them. We also learn that the reason Martin hates dogs is that his beloved childhood dog, uh, ran away? Disappeared? Got eaten? He insists that “not knowing [what happened to him] was the worst part,” but I was out here expecting to see the child finding an actual dead dog like it’s John Wick or something so this was a little anticlimactic. They go on a business trip to New York talk with Important Japanese Investors, during which they fuck (it is? romantic? allegedly?), and then the morning of their meeting Erin’s shitty ex shows up in the hotel lobby to bother her. Martin decks him square in the face for not leaving her alone, and then someone calls the cops, because I guess this movie said ACAB, and both dudes get arrested and Erin has to do the presentation alone. And then in the last five minutes Martin gets out of jail and Erin says that she gave the presentation to the investors...in English, and their translator was twenty minutes late, and so the investors understood none of what she said. Thankfully we are spared actually seeing this “joke,” but they do play racist music over her explanation. Then Martin reconnects with his rich dad who bails out the company instead, and also he adopts the four remaining dogs. This movie was fucking bananas and very bad and I need more people to understand exactly how bad. Watch this movie.
A Nutcracker Christmas (2016): Amy Acker has two Christmas movies and this one seemed more palatable than Dear Santa, so here we are. I like to watch Amy Acker be cute and dance, and she has an adorable teenage niece in this movie that she’s helped raise. In this movie she’s a former ballet dancer whose sister (hilariously, one of the Wynonna Earp lesbians) died in a tragic car accident, and she never got to dance the part of the Sugarplum Fairy. Spoiler alert: she gets to by the end of the movie. Unfortunately the love interest is basically Satan incarnate and does not deserve her at all, so unless you like yelling at romantic leads I can’t really recommend it.
Godmothered (2020): This movie is just, uh, Enchanted but worse, and also it should have been sapphic and it isn’t? Poor Jillian Bell is doing her best and is adorable, but it’s not enough to save this movie for me. If Disney were not cowards she would have fallen in love with single mom Isla Fisher. Oh, it also ends with the very white younger daughter doing a public cover of “Rise Up” by Andra Day that the audience joins in on, which, considering its use in the BLM movement the last couple years, felt, uh, not great to me.
A Christmas Prince (2017): It’s maybe not far to compare this to the rest of the Netflix Christmas Cinematic Universe, because it was the originator. But also, it’s pretty boring. Sorry. Simon, or Fiddles (Fake Hiddles/Tom Hiddleston) is the best character.
Married by Christmas (2016): Apparently an alternate title for this is The Engagement Clause, which is sort of funny. Anyway, this has Jes Macallan and we, being big fans of Legends of Tomorrow, lost our shit when we found this on Christmas Day and had to watch it. The plot is that Jes’ character runs the family business, but their shitty grandma died and left a clause in her will where the business goes to the husband of whichever granddaughter gets married first. You would think that Jes’ sister and her fiance would postpone their Christmas Eve wedding to give Jes time to set up some kind of platonic wedding for business purposes, since Jes’ entire life is this stupid business, but nope, they immediately turn into monsters who are determined to get their hands on the business for ???? reasons???? It’s not very good, as you can tell by how low it is on the list. Jes Macallan is not a convincing straight businesswoman. I wouldn’t even really enjoy this movie as an Avalance AU.
A Princess for Christmas (2011): Here we are, the worst one Christmas movie I watched this year. I don’t actively harbor any ill will towards Katie McGrath, although I confess to feeling a bit “her?” but it’s fine. I was hoping this movie would enlighten me to her appeal. Instead, this movie actively got on my nerves in multiple ways, including trying to pass Katie McGrath off as a normal American retail worker instead of an Irish vampire/sorceress/supervillain/fairy/whatever she is. Her accent is shockingly awful, which I’m not sure is actually her fault, is there a reason her family wasn’t just British? That wouldn’t have saved the movie but it would have made it just slightly more palatable. At every turn it makes the worst choices, including a scene where Katie’s character puts on a rap song and she and the prince dance to it in an attempt to show them “loosening up,” and then the mean grandfather comes in and demands that they “turn this ghetto music off.” YIKES. I know these movies are the whitest movies ever by design but was that racism necessary? The only Black people I actually saw in this movie were some of the servants, I think? Speaking of the servants, at the end of the movie there’s a grand ball and Katie’s dress gets fucked up, and she’s about to leave the country, and then the servants are like “don’t go! We pooled our money to buy you another nice dress!” which, also yikes! This movie has a real classism problem. It also was so boring I zoned out of it multiple times, and I have sat through Manos: The Hands of Fate and Birdemic multiple times. This movie has no chaos whatsoever and I hated all the characters. 0/10 do not recommend under any circumstances.

Ranking Choices series by how Gay they are
A review no one asked for but an important one nonetheless
EDIT: Updated for latest books 6/29/19
The Freshman - While Zack, Kaitlyn, Becca, and Zig make this a sweet Gay Squad, the book has prominent bi-erasure if you date a man and forces you to deal with toxic Het Drama for multiple books that leaves you begging for the sweet release of diamond death to never come - 4/10 Gay but at what cost
The Crown and the Flame - Kenna is a bisexual Queen, but the fact that they don't give Dom a male li until awkwardly at the very end is tragic - 5/10 Could be gayer
Most Wanted - Look Sam is a Lesbian Icon(tm) but the narrative pushes for Sam and Dave - 3/10 Pretty Het
Rules of Engagement - Forces the MC to be with a man, doesn't give Party Twin a female li until the third book, and older brother's het drama is insufferable - 2/10 Some gay but too much straight to try
Endless Summer - MC can be a guy or a girl. Pretty gay, but the female lis are not treated as well as the male ones, also there are a lot of straight couples and the fact that Pirate Queen Yvonne ends up with a man? Tragic(tm) - 5/10 gay but could be gayer
LoveHacks - Points for the bi black man and the lesbians, but the first book paywalls its only female li to shit, only has the MC date men, and has Brooke end up with a man instead of Seerena - 3/10 Gay but too Het to handle
The Haunting of Braidwood Manor - Nothing but love a respect for my lesbian ghost girlfriend, but you have to pay to stay together (but it is only 17 diamonds and that is a bargain these days) - 8/10 Lots of lesbian love but at a cost
The Royal Romance - Largely forced to spend time with a man, has only one female li even though Olivia is literally right there, and has Penelope get with Kiara's brother even though Kiara is literally right there - 3/10 Very Het
Hero - MC can be a guy or a girl. Kenji is a BIcon but it takes a while to meet the only female li, also the Poppy and Dax het drama is too much - 6/10 Decently gay and has potential
High School Story - MC can be a guy or a girl. Besides the fact that we have to deal with the Het Tragedy that are Brian, Max, Kara, the dumb Autumn love triangle, and what the ever loving fuck is that set up your Dad with Emma's Mom nonsense, these books give a lot of LGBT+ rep - 7/10 Gen Z is the Gayest Gen
It Lives in the Woods - MC can be a guy or a girl. Gay Icon right here, we stan our Trans King(tm) King Kang, Ava and Stacy are female li legends, Lily is our beautiful Lesbian Queen, nothing like the raw gay energy of swinging a barbed wire bat at the undead - 15/10 GAY ICON
Home for the Holidays - One female LI, but at what cost? Can't play as a guy and forced to have dated one (1) man. Don't even get me started on Nick Peralta - 1/10 Literally ever Het Hallmark Christmas movie ever so RUN
Red Carpet Diaries - It feels like it should be pretty gay between the BIcon that is Seth, the Lesbian Legend that is Teja, and the absolute QUEEN that is Victoria, but man does it throw that all away to be SUPER FREAKING STRAIGHT between Matt and Hunt and paywalling the fuck out of Victoria - 3/10 RIP Gay potential
Perfect Match - MC can be a guy or a girl. Can choose to have your perfect match be a guy or a girl. A beautiful array of lis to choose from and they can all be yours because PB said Polyamory Rights! Even though there is some Het stuff with Nadia and Steve, it is actually tolerable. The President can also be a black lesbian and that's the America I want to live in - 10/10 Living my best gay thot life
Bloodbound - Even love interests whom? Sure you get two wonderful female love interests, Lily and the ultimate BI QUEEN Kamilah, but forget ever hanging out with them. This is the JAX AND ADRIAN SHOW ONLY BABEEE - 4/10 Not even a cheap Priya scene can help, PB said fuck wlw
Veil of Secrets - MC can be a guy or a girl. Ms. Harlenay is a Lesbian icon. Kate is a true BI disaster and the fact that we can only get with her romantically at the end of the book is the Biggest Tragedy of Choices - 6/10 It's fun and gay until you die alone bc you don't have enough diamonds
America's Most Eligible - MC can be a guy or a girl. You can thot it up and kiss so many people, Mackenzie is the only female li you can hang out with most of the time and there was one weird scene where Adam and Derek were super "no homo"??? - 6/10 Gay potential but oof the Het
Desire & Decorum - Only one female li, but she is Amazing. Mr. Chambers gay ass is the real MVP. God bless our non-homophobic gay ally of a dad (rip). But still this book got a lot of Het nonsense bc of the time period - 4/10 Press F to pay respect to our gay ancestors
Across The Void - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of lis with even screen time and your siblings can be gay too if they weren't so annoying and stealing your screen time - 7/10 Gay but it's hard to read
Big Sky Country - MC can be a guy or a girl. If you are a wlw, there is a lot of Het nonsense and it is hard to be with the female lis. If you are a mlm, ooh boy is this book Really Gay. Like literally every guy wants your city dick. Still there is some Het stuff - 6/10 Average; Life is what you Gay it
High School Story: Class Act - MC can be a guy or a girl. You can choose the gender of the li you are forced to have a crush on so that is nice. If you play as a guy your twin can be a Lesbian Icon and Erin can like girls but if you play as a girl it's like super het. Don't even get me started on Natalie and Clint - 6/10 Gay but oof
It Lives Beneath - MC can be a guy or a girl. Great even bunch of lis and our gay little brother is the most wholesome thing - 8/10 Good gay content minus you know all the Gore and Death
The Elementalists - MC can be a guy or a girl. Let’s hear it for Ace rep! Except the imbalance of li scenes and how Beckett is constantly forced onto you continues to put this book on thin ice, especially with the lack of flirting options for wlw - 5/10 Gay but lesbian struggles
A Courtesan of Rome -  Forced to kiss men. Female characters treated like shit. Sabina stans deserved better. But Gay brother can get his happy gay romance. Caesar/Cleopatra/MC threesome said bi rights. Parents are the biggest gay allies. The biggest disappointment is the untapped potential - 3.5/10 RIP to anyone who hoped to romance Cleopatra
The Heist: Monaco - MC can be a guy or a girl. Allows you to choose gender of one your lis. Has the potential to have 3 female lis who are all iconic. But makes you pay for not 1 but 2 women crew members so having an all women crew is a struggle - 8/10 Let's go Lesbians!
Update:
Ride or Die: A Bad Boy Romance - Everyone thinks you and Logan are dating even if you haven’t romanced him in the slightest. Gay rep in minor characters but at what cost. - 3/10 We been knew of the het nonsense since we saw the tagline
Open Heart - MC can be a guy or a girl. If you are guy this book is great. Seriously Dr. ER always down for the BJ (sorry homophobes he BI!✨). If you are woman, HAHAHAHa. Only one female li who is forced to hate you for a few chapters. Seriously Sienna and Aurora and Kyra are right freaking there just give the wlw something!!! - 4/10 Gay but could do so much better
Passport to Romance - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of love interests except for the fact that one of the female li has a boyfriend for 75 percent of the book. Still this book is dreadfully boring or annoying which is sad because Sumire and Ahmed are wonderful. - 7/10 Gay but forgettable
Wishful Thinking - Story has MC spend most time with the two male lis, but MC, Anna, and Ellen working together to take down corrupt politicians ala Charlie’s Angels is awesome! The fact that you can sleep with Ellen coming out of nowhere like a dark horse? Amazing! - 5/10 Gay potential
Nightbound - MC can be a guy or a girl. Even number of love interests, but recent changes make it obvious the book wants you to lean towards Nik. Barely any scenes with Vera or Katherine. There is a gay fae and rock troll love story but you have to pay for it -  4/10 A fun supernatural story PB is forcing to be the next great het romance
Platinum - Can choose for your two main love interests Avery and Raleigh to be male or female which means you are not forced to romance men unless you want to! The women are so pretty it hurts. Get to kiss beautiful women for freeeee. Shoutout to non-binary audience. Every song is bop that fills me with gay pride. Only major downfall is you can’t choose to play as a guy. - 9/10 Move over Hayley Kiyoko there is a new Lesbian pop star in town
And Sunkissed is still up in the air while The Royal Heir is on the thinnest of fucking ices.

Personal thoughts on… 2019 releases (Part III)
Note: As the title says, these are just personal opinions on Choices books and chapters. Of course, you may agree or disagree with them, I only use this platform to express my thoughts on what I read every week.
I’m so sorry! Not only I wasn’t at home during New Year, but I also noticed that I hadn’t finished one of the books I had to write about, so I was kind of stuck! Welcome to the final part of my review of 2019 books. As I said before, I will include current releases and books that were released on 2018 but finished in 2019. The list is organized in alphabetical order and it doesn’t include the VIP Books (as I don’t have access to the feature) or the seasonal books (as I’ll talk about them in another post, after all of them have been fully released). You may see Part I here and Part II here.
Red Carpet Diaries, Book 3 (June 7, 2019 - September 27, 2019): I still wonder “what were they thinking”. Personally, I have no complaints on the first book, it was a nice story, but I already had problems reading the second book (blame Teja and Seth for it), but dealing with the third one was just a nightmare. And I hate to admit it, but I only finished it because I hate to see incomplete books in my feed. As I said plenty of times in the past, we didn’t need a wedding book. Ninradell (did anyone figure out what Ninradell was about?) and the stalker plots were enough (we could have seen our MC winning some awards as well). The wedding left me speechless… and not in a good way. It was simply painful to read at times. We basically planned it by ourselves, and we had so many LIs and so many storylines (one per each LI) that I ended up feeling like they were the worst.
Ride or Die: A Bad Boy Romance, Book 1 (January 25, 2019 - May 3, 2019): I don’t remember people complaining so much about a book before its release as they did with ROD. People were destroying it even before we knew what the plot was about! Based on those comments, the book was destined to be a failure. And then, Chapter 10 came. You may have seen it coming or not, but the plot twist of the book was brilliant, despite of being somehow predictable. It made so many people change their minds about the book and it attracted so many new readers, that this story ended up getting a second book at the very last minute (that’s the power of reading a book and buying diamond scenes, people!). Luckily, I’m part of the people who decided to give it a chance and I enjoyed it since the very first moment; however, I feel the story came to full circle at the end of the book, so I’m not that convinced about the idea of getting a second book.
Save The Date (September 29, 2019 – December 29, 2019): I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say everything about this book screams “toxicity”. At some point, I ended up feeling like half of the characters in the story had to go to therapy to control their anger issues, and the other half needed therapy to improve their self-esteem. Poor Ali, the only “real adult” character in this book, who had to deal with this bunch of crazy people. Despite having too many weddings this year, I liked the premise behind the story before its release: I saw it as an awesome space to meet different types of couples and celebrate different types of weddings (as all our wedding books at that point felt quite similar). And certainly each wedding was different and cute in its own way. However, the fact that the weddings were not the center of the story was disappointing. Instead, they focused on showing us the worst of each character: they were dull or too shy (hi Simon! hi Lindsay!) or they were too explosive and controlling (hi everyone else!). Too bad, PB… too bad.
Sunkissed (June 26, 2019 - October 9, 2019): I have some mixed emotions on this book. On one side, we have the grieving processes of this book’s characters. I just loved how the writers addressed it. They showed so many different reactions, points of view and feelings (they even addressed the grieving process after a breakup through Samson’s story), and they did it with so much respect… they did a brilliant job. On the other side, we had our family. Everything was OK at first, but as the book moved on, we ended up dealing with a mother that was quite toxic and manipulative (I’m still surprised that any of the girls suggested her to go to therapy because she was seriously damaging the family) and a sister who was a bitch with the guy who loved her. At the end of the book, I couldn’t believe that it took our mom like two chapters to move on from our dad and start dating “the artist”, and that our sister ended up in a relationship with the “not so hot” boy. Those guys deserved better than those women.
The Elementalists, Book 1 (October 24, 2018 - February 22, 2019): Spells, magick, and a whole new life. I wish we all face the same destiny as our MC when we feel out of place! I read this book a little later because it was hard for me to catch some things, such as making spells or knowing when to attack or defend myself (thanks for existing, dear wiki), so it was kind of inevitable to see some spoilers, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it. I actually liked it a lot! Where do I begin with? The attunements. You can tell there was research and that the writers really took care about the elements to be used as attunements (I got metal, by the way). Then, the evolution of the MC, in a process that lasted a whole book. From thinking that everything was a mistake to defeating Raife, the way our MC grew during the story was beautiful. Also… we had a twin who protected us without us knowing of his/her existence! That’s just true love. And finally, some of the most loyal friends. They made mistakes, sometimes they screwed things (hi Beckett!) but in the end, it’s cool to see them learning from their own mistakes. There is only one thing I still don’t understand. Why did a lot of people think that Zeph would be the one to “betray” us? I mean, at some point everyone was convinced of it, but I never understand why. Was it because he wasn’t a LI? He never gave any clues for us to think that! Anyway… you can tell that I really liked this book, and as a person who doesn’t understand a thing about magick, this is huge!
The Elementalists, Book 2 (March 15, 2019 - August 2, 2019): The reason why it took me forever to finish this post was this book (oops, sorry!). I hadn’t finished it until a few days ago because I’m the worst when it comes to making spells, so I had to replay certain chapter (ahem, Chapter 10) like three times to make things right. What I like about this book (it’s definitely my favorite in the series) is how the writers link certain events from the first book, but at the same time they make us feel like this is a completely different story. We got new characters, new villains and a whole new story about sources. Also, our MC is more mature, he/she deals much better with his/her new powers and he/she found a whole new support network in Evelyn and Alma. However, I think the biggest mistake was the insane amount of diamond scenes with Beckett. I can totally understand how uncomfortable it was if you’re not dating him. The book was already fine, it wasn’t necessary to add so many diamond scenes with him just to get more money from us! Anyway… I can’t believe they finished this series after book 2. The ending was so open that I can’t imagine they won’t revisit this story in the future. What about our mom? What about Gemma trying to bring Alma back to life? Was Alma a good or a bad character? Are there other sources? Have we truly seen the full power of the twins? I need answers!
The Heist: Monaco (December 10, 2018 - March 18, 2019): I completely understand why people love this book. It definitely has a lot of things to love: we had a chance to choose our MC’s gender, our crew was customizable, and it’s not focused in romance. The plot is pretty solid as well, but (and here is where my only complaint about this book comes) I felt like some of the chapters in the middle of the book were just fillers to make the story longer. I don’t know if you noticed it, but in every chapter one member of the crew had a problem and we had to help them. After three or four chapters of it, I was bored and I just wanted them to talk more about the heist and less about their personal problems. But overall I enjoyed it, and just like most people, I still can’t understand why this story is not having a second book.
The Royal Heir (June 22, 2019 to October 26, 2019): One of the things I like the most about The Royal Romance series is the sense of friendship and loyalty in our gang. But when The Royal Heir was announced I had some doubts. I liked the idea of seeing these people again, but after seeing our MC physically fighting the bad guys, it was weird to imagine her with a belly and trying to keep calm. The biggest mistake in this book was not changing the story. When they decided to take the short book about Bertrand and Savannah’s wedding and turn it into a pregnancy/motherhood series, they should have realized that no one expected to spend most of the book at the Walker ranch planning a wedding. They should have kept it simple: no more than four chapters at the ranch, and then back to Cordonia, maybe deepening Olivia’s plot. However, and even though I’m hoping to have a better plot in Book 2, I do have a favorite moment in this book. Playing as Bertrand was a non-sense, but I don’t remember laughing out so hard in a long time. Making the choices that he would make and seeing him doing stuff like riding a motorcycle, serenading Savannah or dealing with a bear was just priceless.
The Royal Masquerade (October 18, 2019 - Present): Even though I think this book helps us to understand some things about politics in Cordonia, I don’t think it’s actually working as I thought it would be. I assumed this would be like a link between The Crown & The Flame and The Royal Romance, but so far, I still can’t see the connections clearly. Hunter is the example of an assigned king/queen (just like in TRH if you didn’t marry Liam), we also know that Percival and Annalisa are Bertrand and Maxwell’s ancestors, and if you read chapter 13 (spoiler alert!) you got to know the link between the Nevrakis family and the monarchy in times of queen Kenna, but that’s all. There is something about this story that I like (I’m still trying to find out what it is) but at the same time, I think the book still lacks of that “wow” moment to blow our minds. I also feel like choosing a LI at the beginning of the book was not the best idea (damn, they both are so good!). And I still have so many questions! Why is there no mention to houses Fierro and Vescovi in TRR? Where does our magic come from? Why do I feel our MC could be related to Dom? Is Vasco a friend or an enemy? Too many questions, only a few chapters left.
Wishful Thinking (April 15, 2019 - July 8, 2019): This book had so much potential that I can’t believe they messed it up so badly. You may have liked it or not, but you can’t deny the overall idea of the book was attractive. You had this shy character who suddenly goes from unknown to superstardom because she gets some powers and reads people minds. I’m still not convinced that this story deserved a second book, but I’m pretty sure it didn’t deserve the rushed ending it had. If they didn’t want to release a second book, the least they should have done was to give WT the same treatment as Across The Void and A Courtesan of Rome, that is, a single book, but longer, so that the writers could explain everything properly, because there were too many unanswered questions (mostly everything about her powers!).

Medicine - Jim x fem!reader // Part Two
I miss Jim Mason and I can’t stop writing about him, i need help. This part is loosely inspired by Do I Wanna Know? by Arctic Monkeys :)
You can read part One here.
Description: After a bonfire night welcoming (Y/N)’s new family in Palos Verdes, Jim and her found themselves enjoying each other more than they could admit.
Warnings: Mention of masturbation (both male and female), alcohol and drug abuse
Word count: 3.1k+
Tumblr media
“Honey, we’re going now” the voice of her mother rang over the sound of the waves. (Y/N) looked back behind her, her arms were cooped under her legs, desperately trying to keep her body heat close to her while the drawing turned into chatter. “Okay, cool! I’ll walk home in a bit” she responded, waving the woman goodbye. A few word were exchanged between her parents and she noticed her father pulling his spouse away, the both of them wishing her a good time.
A loud escaped the teenager’s lips as she looked back to Medina who was sitting in the sand next to her. Then her gaze fell upon the body of her sibling, sprawled on his back, a soft snore escaping his nose. The conversation picked up again as the flames burned down to embers.
The artist’s shivering body was not left unnoticed by her blonde friend while they discussed travelling plans. Waking up her twin who had falling asleep, she mumbled to him to go upstairs to finish his night in his own bed. “I don’t want to go in alone” he whimpered, his voice tangled with sleep. “Okay well let’s at least bring (Y/N) home, come on” her hands pulled his larger frame while he groggily.
Without asking anyone’s opinion, Medina hooked her fingers around Jim’s shoulder, peeling off the jacket from his back. “Hey, that’s mine” he jokingly whined noticing the quivering hands of their guest before the denim covered her small frame. Rubbing her arms quickly to help the cold dissipate. His twin just gave him a look as if to say “She has been freezing for the past 45 minutes”. They had always had that telepathic like connection and, more often than not, no words needed to be spoken. He shrugged it off as they made their way up the slope.
“Go up, I’ll take care of the fire”, he mumbled, practically jogging back to the embers. (Y/N) raised a curious eyebrows, looking back at the figure before sheepishly turning the way at the sound of his fly coming undone. “Well that’s one way to do it” the girls giggled as they climbed up the mound of sand.
Interest peaked again and the teenager looked back. She couldn’t see much from where she was but she could see the broad shoulders under his semi loose fitting white tee-shirt. She could assume the definition of his back and his arms. She could definitely see him buckling his belt and dashing back to them, pushing past them and jogging to the kitchen sink to wash his hands.
“At least, I didn’t have to remind him” said the Mason daughter as another giggle passed the new girl’s lips. She could see it again. The image of his tall frame as his back was facing them. She could also see the look in his eyes as they stared back at each other, the faintest bit of concern as he looked back at her. It only lasted half a second but his features were burned in her mind.
His gentle Roman nose, the definition of his cheekbones and his soft chin. His full upturned lips. His narrow, bright and very sad eyes.
Like a carbon copy, it was embedded in her head and the only thing that pulled her out of daydream was Medina gently pulling her towards the front of her house, readying herself to escort her home. Jim quickly joined them, quiet yet smiling. That was something else she could keep in her head. His smile.
Trying to keep some small talk on the way back, (Y/N) thanked the twins for not letting her get lost in the streets of Palos Verdes. Quicker than Jim and her had hoped, she noticed her house, and then she was due to give back the warm coat, hoping the faint smell of cigarette and body odour would linger on her skin.
But it was her scent that hung in the Sherpa and denim. Medina launched forward, embracing her new friend quickly. Her shy gaze met Jim’s and he offered her a soft smile, toothy this time. It felt like her heart skipped a beat as the blonde pulled from her arms.
Would it be appropriate for her to launch herself in his hug? No, it wouldn’t. Maybe he could just read her mind or maybe the look she gave him made her desperate. His arms snaked around her. It felt like butterflies erupted from his touch as his fingertips gently grazed the surface of her skin. Her hands rested awkwardly on his back and for a second, he was scared she could feel his halting breath staggering in his chest.
A silent queue pushed them apart and (Y/N) climbed the short flight of stairs before opening the door of her house, quickly waving the twins goodbye. She pressed her back to the front door after twisting the lock. He could still feel her hands nestled between his shoulder blades. She could still feel his fingertips grazing against her skin.
Like the lingering taste of a cigarette, they kept this reminder in the back of their minds as he mumbled to his sister on his way back while she considered asking her father if they lived close enough for his to count as the neighbor she had a crush on. She slumped on her bed after kicking her clothes off and wrapping herself in her pyjamas, ready for the night to take her.
The high pitch ringing of her alarm pulled Jim out of his slumber, his hand still tugged beneath his boxers, his digits still sticky from the events that transpired the night before, tangled around himself still. Cold sweat burst across his skin as the sudden realisation slapped him. He couldn't keep his mind still, all he could think about was the way (Y/N) crinkled her nose as she focused on her paper, how she kept on blowing her (Y/H/C) locks away from her eyes, how she smeared her lead on her forehead in a attempt to keep the strands at bay. But Medina had beaten him at rubbing it off in a fit of giggles.
The reminder of her soft face burned his lower stomach once more but before he could try and relief himself at the thought of the gentle girl, his twin barged in the room in a huff, turning off his alarm.
“Y-You should really knock next time, he blabbered, pulling the heavy duvet over part of his legs and chest in a poor attempt to cover up his own mess.
- Maybe you should turn off your alarm when it's blaring for 15 minutes straight! She defended herself, already dressed and nearly ready to go to school.
- Sorry, his raspy voice whispered, I just had a weird... night.
- I could hear you, Jimmy. You forgot some here, she pointed at the remnants staining his chin.”
Hiding her annoyance was not in the cards for Medina. Jim was the most charismatic one from the duo and now that she had finally managed to make a friend, she was livid at the idea that her twin would swoop in and take her away. She envied how easy it was for him to touch people and keep them around. She had a much different experience with bonding.
He quickly pulled himself together under the cold shower he chose to endure. Barely sinking in his bowl of cereal, he avoided the nosey questions his father was cooking him with. Yes, he had a good time. Yes, the “new girl” seemed nice. No, he didn't like her. A lie his sister could read through.
What was wrong with having a small crush on her? Was it the fact he his so called relationship with Heather had just ended? Or the fact that he promised himself he wouldn't let himself  like a girl as easily as he was finding himself right now. A little crush never hurt anyone though, right? He slipped his backpack and shoes on and grabbed his and his twin's bicycle and camped by the door while she sunk her feet in her sneakers.
And it only took him a minute for (Y/N)'s soft features to slip in his mind. If the feeling of her fingers pressed between his shoulder blades subsided and the soft fluttering of his heart did too, would it be so bad? If he told her that the only way he managed to pull himself to bad was to wear himself out while repeating the images of her in his mind. If he told her he thought he liked her, would he care to know if she thought she liked him too? Would she mind watching him kill himself slowly in drugs and alcohol?
Medina quickly made her way to her new classmate as soon as she could dismiss her brother. It looked like she had not had much sleep either but was it simply because she had retrieved her bed much later than usual or was it because she had participated in the same sort of activities she could hear her twin partake? Her gut clenched at the feeling of betrayal nesting in her stomach.
Despite her best efforts, (Y/N) could not wrap her head around her classes. It wasn't due to the fact that she could not help but dig deeper in her friend's mind in whispered conversations or the fact that she had simply joined the school two months before the end of the school year and she had shifted to a totally different program. It was the pair of narrow blue eyes that would fall upon her when she walked down the halls. The goose bump that covered her soft skin when his fingers brushed it. The soft sound of his laugh that she could hear from the other side of the cafeteria. To have a crush was something. To be constantly reminded of him in her daydreams was something else and she did not know how much of that slight obsession she was ready to explore.
It was her father who noticed her lack of appetite first then the fact that she was always sitting on the rocks by the back of the house. He noticed how she would stare at the horizon, secretly wishing her eyes would fall upon the twins who had decided to surf nearby.
But she didn't know anything about surfing and never saw anyone riding the waves in the stretch at the cusp of her backyard. All she knew was that the days passed and her notebook was nearly full again but this afternoon of June, she had miraculously kept her phone with her instead of clumsily leaving it on her desk like most of the time.
And, as if she had been waiting for some sort of sign, her phone rang, the screen brightly lit up with “Medina” scrolling across it. A deep breath filled her lungs before she picked up.
“Hi! Is this (Y/N), the manly voice asked nearly as soon as she answered the call.
- Erm, yes, who is this?
- Oh, hi, it's Jim. I didn't have your number so I borrowed Medi's phone.
- I see, she nearly whispered. How can I help?
- Well, I'm kind of calling for my dad, he's trying to plan some sort of gathering and wanted to know if you guys wanted to come and join?”
He bit the inside of his cheek. Wouldn't it have been easier to ask her if she wanted to come see him instead? Sure, his father did have a gathering. Sure, his father wanted to know if he wanted to invite his friends. But she wasn't his friend, she was Medina's friend.
“Sure! At what time do we need to be over?” she replied, leading Jim to release a sigh of relief he was unaware of. Quickly rethinking his father's words, he invited them to join at 7pm. The call shortly ended to his dismay. He had thought of calling her when he had a few over the length of time she has crawled in the dark corners of his mind.
Practically sprinting to his sister, he dropped her phone next to her as he sat on her bed. “So, you're sure she's single, right?” he asked the blonde for what felt like the 100th time. Her eyes rolled as she repeated herself. “Once again, she has never mentioned any boyfriend or girlfriend”. She had pried him open when he noticed how he would shift in his seat when she tried to help him with certain homework the rare moments (Y/N) would come back to their house after class. She felt it. When her name came on the table for any reasons possible, she would find his eyes turning into the most glittery starry night sky and his smile would grow wide.
Despite her trying to keep her friend for herself, she could not pass up the sad look in her brother's eyes. Deep down she understood what made her stick in her mind. She was pretty, smart, creative and talented. She was respectful and poised. Damn she really was pretty. He told her how he could feel a small spark in the darkness when he found himself sitting on the harsh rocks next to her while his twin excused herself to retrieve something inside.
It felt meaningful to have her around. And he wanted to help fix the glimmer that the broken girl had twinkling in her eyes. He wondered if two wrongs could make it right sometimes. That's what one of the songs she played one night they stayed late next to a bonfire was about. And he played it on repeat as he fell asleep, his dreams picturing the both of them fixed and running away.
Maybe running away would help him stop his reckless behaviour? Maybe he was the one who needed fixing and she was the help he desperately needed. The doorbell rang as he finished spraying one of his body sprays, making him jump our of his bones.
The voice of her father was invited in by Phil. Jim's heart fluttered when her light voice called out for Medina, the two girls starting a whispered conversation. Gripping all of his courage, he shook off the sweat that accumulated above his brow, opened the door of the bathroom and made his way to his sister's bedroom, gently waving and the  two peas in a pod sitting on the bed.
His clammy hands helped him decide on his next move. He left the bedroom and nearly jumped down the flight of stairs, meeting the adults in the kitchen and sneaking a pack of beer down to the usual spot where he sits.
It felt like he waited for ever when the two figures showed up but he failed to notice the lack of clothes covering her. Dashing for the water, his sibling and crush crashed in the cool water and Jim knew if needed to dive straight in it too. Not to be with them as they apparently were having enough fun together, but to ward off the thoughts in his head. He cursed himself for feeling driven by his hormones as he opened the first bottle of beer of the pack, hoping it would be the last one.
But it wasn't. Another one followed, then a spliff and another one. He laid against the rocks, looks at the changing sky when an icy pair hands wrapped around his ankles. Shouting in surprise, he looked down to see her angelic smile, laughing happily at his squeal. Drops of water soaked her hair and rolled off her body. She leaned towards him, nearly whispering in the shell of his ear. “Medina told me your secret” she giggled and his heart nearly dropped to his knees. He tried to suppress the uncomfortable pain in his chest and he leaned in too, failing to notice the colours blossoming in her cheeks as his breath, scented with weed and beer, reached her ears “and which secret would that be, missy?” he attempted to tease before she sat back when her blonde friends told them to “get a room” at the evident proximity of their bodies. “She told me about the booze” she whispered before Jim's body slumped back.
She had never touched a drop of alcohol however she could not imagine a safer environment to try it out, with her best friend and the boy who constantly sprouted red across her cheeks or blossomed butterflies in her stomach. “Can I try some?” she sheepishly asked as he brought his half empty can. He gave her a small nod, holding the drink towards her. His eyes fell in hers as she gulped on the sour liquid, wincing a bit before getting used to the taste.
“You can finish it” he mumbled, Medina agreeing that he probably had enough already. She excused herself, claiming she was going to fetch some burgers.
But she never came back. She left the two of them to discuss and get intoxicated. She watched from the pool side as the gently drifted closer and closer, their shoulders rubbing. She swore she could notice how he was constantly on the cusp of kissing her and how she drunk his words.
“You're really cute (Y/N)” he surprised himself, her lips parted in a soft laugh and his eyes were glued to them, watching closely what he wished to make them his next target. But she was the bold one and her lips crashed first, smacking against his cheekbones to his dismay. He took his lips between his teeth, his feet happily and quickly moving from left to right. “You're such a dork, James” she whispered against his cheek. His heart skipped the heaviest beat.
He side eyed her lips and started to turn his head. She looked at him and for a second, she rejoiced herself, practically begging for his lips against her but her mother's voice pulled their attentions to her. Home time it was and he calmly prayed and hoped she would stay. But if she did, she wouldn't stay for him, she would stay for her best friend but he was happy with that.
And that night, like every night he got the chance to watch her bloom in the moonlight, he would wear himself out by wrapping his hand under his boxers hoping it was her fingers, imagining her doing similar things to herself. If only he knew it wasn't just his imagination and that she would wake up with a similar mess in her pyjamas, it might put his broken mind at ease.

Be Careful About What You "Wish" For...
Before I met Erik, I watched a what I call a "real Twin flame movie" called In Your Eyes and thought...
Durrr... 🤪 Gee, it would be cool if I had a relationship like that!
I🙅🏽‍♀️ dropped soul mates and twin flames a long time ago. But I was slowly starting to consider getting back on the spiritual path. Just ditch the whole twin flame bullshit. Then🤦🏽‍♀️ Erik and this journey happened and here I am.
How did I manifest Rick?
*ahem* I, uh...I realize, now, I may have subconsciously manifested a complete Erik doppelganger in my life as my boyfriend. Matt was just a precursor. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I feel like an idiot but not really. It doesn't always have to be all theatric in that I close my eyes and make a wish and there you have it.
Similar things have happened when I thought it would be nice to have a pair of glasses, a new phone, a bag, and a pillow. In a few days or weeks, poof, I had those things. 🙄 In this case, I often thought about how great it would be if Erik didn't like, kill himself. I think the trick was that I didn't want or expect or obsess over it. Actually, I mentioned specifically that I DON'T want an Erik doppelganger! ....the Universe tends to be an asshole and shovels some shit at us whether we want it or not...😑
The Universe was like, Oh yeah? Here you go!
I actually reconnected with Rick a little over a year ago right before I became homeless. We got to talking over our computer geekdom and I specifically remember cursing the day 😧 I stopped hanging out with him. Rick was a bit much for me back then and I wasn't medicated or nice. 🤦🏽‍♀️To say the least. I liked him but it was a few months or a year after Erik died and I swore off serious relationships.
I met Rick on a dating website for hooking up but I also had problems telling if dudes liked me anyway. Rick admitted to me he really liked me. I hadn't a real clue. If he had been less clingy and I more receptive...🤷🏽‍♀️ anyway that was ten years ago.
Manifestation comes easy for me.
It's weird. If only I could manifest the lottery. Well, I'm kind of working on that? I'm still building my case with a disability lawyer and I have a Dr appointment in a month. 😌 Also, have health insurance. I am literally between part-time jobs because of this coronavirus thing going on.
So not only do I have my little spiritual but gallery but I have Rick just as much. This is one hell of a ride. Erik only wishes he could really team up with Rick to prank me. Ricks already got me several times. The dude is crazy. 🙄😅 lmao Honestly, how am I going to survive?
❤😷 Be safe y'all!

WiR fic (INTERNET AU) 2971 words Characters: Mavis, Red (friendly Turbo duplicate) Content warnings: Mentions of scars Premise: Mavis, having lived in the internet for a couple years, dances with a duplicate of Turbo, nicknamed "Red," and is shaken once more by how complicated their relationship is.
_____________________________________
Of all the websites that Mavis had been introduced to, Spotify was one of her favorites. Dance floors at least quadruple the size of Qix, with one for every album, every playlist, every song. She loved to hop playlists, spend just a few songs in one before zipping into another. She had never heard so many songs in her entire life, certainly more than she had heard over the radio at Litwak’s, and never with such clear sound quality. It felt unreal, like some impossible overindulgence.
And then there was the more quaint, but still quite fun, way to experience the site. The admin of the PC where Red’s game and countless other games resided had their own private playlists. Sprites would regularly filter in and out, but once a week, there was a sort of community dance night. Those nights were cozy, and Red sure seemed to enjoy seeing everyone. So, Mavis regularly invited herself, and no one seemed to mind -- if she was a friend of Red, she might as well have been a friend of the community.
So, on a community night like any other, she was there.
The song playing was one Mavis had never heard before. Although the sound seemed to be coming from literally nowhere, the bass still rumbled in the floor, and the beat still bounced against Mavis’ heart. The lights were low, creating a sort of blue-green darkness that made the dancers seem as if they were weeds drifting together on the ocean floor. The air was warm, bordering on stuffy, from the number of bodies. But it put no damper on anyone’s spirits. Mavis was right where she wanted to be, right in the center of the action. Against the floor alight with glowing green panels, Mavis’ feet moved with the justified confidence of a lifelong performer, and her body followed suit. Sometimes sprites would stop and watch her, or even cheer her on, and the thrill from that was a nostalgic one. She had only recently learned to enjoy performing again.
Red had helped her with that.
The song ended to a number of cheers and whoops. Mavis, feeling like she could actually break a sweat, simply smiled and nodded to any nearby compliments while she caught her breath, even allowing someone a brisk high-five. Then the lights took on a tint that was more of a true, dreamy blue, and the floor changed color to match. A relaxed, shuffling beat began, and a smooth voice chimed in, beginning a song that really did sound like warm water to her.
She looked to the glowing green Spotify symbol up on the far wall to check the song, and she saw in white text beneath it, “Sunflower,” and in even smaller text beneath that, “Post Malone & Swae Lee”.
Although it was another song she did not recognize, she smirked a bit, even chuckled. “Sunflower” was one of her nicknames for the sunny and sweet guy who accompanied her that night. She figured it would be only right to dance with him to it, but when she looked around, she found that she had lost track of him.
Quickly painting feathers on her heels, Mavis rose above the crowd for a better look, and found him near one of the side walls, chatting with his brothers. Well, that conversation could wait.
Hurrying a bit, she shot over to the trio, making them all jump. She greeted the twins, whose faces were almost as strange to see as their younger brother’s -- it had been thirty years since she saw her Turbo’s twin brothers, after all. It was also weird to see them not reply with scowls.
Red barely had a moment to ask her what was up before she seized him by the wrist, told him, “Get in here, Sunflower,” and pulled him back to the dancefloor, weaving through the crowd until they were in the middle again. Red looked a little disoriented, but Mavis nodded towards the song title on the wall. That put a smile on his face, and he laughed in the most unbearably sweet way as he took her hands in his. They began to groove together just as the first verse began.
“Needless to say, I keep in check She was a bad-bad, nevertheless Callin’ it quits, now, baby I’m a wreck Crash at my place, baby you’re a wreck…”
Nothing was particularly funny, but Mavis still found herself snickering. Red was a pretty good dancer, and it was at least evident that he enjoyed it. Mavis had no doubt that he would have told her that it was not about skill level, it was about having fun. Something she too had always believed when she had the luxury of it, regardless of how many times she made fun of others for being bad at things.
Still, she and Red really did seem to share a few beliefs. Mavis did not blame herself for not always being able to uphold hers, out of necessity. Life had tested her beliefs on more than one occasion. But looking at the cheerful boy dancing in front of her, she had to wonder -- had his ever been tested? Although he was so eager to help others, he never seemed to talk of his own pain.
“Needless to say, I keep in check She was a bad-bad, nevertheless Callin’ it quits, now, baby I’m a wreck Crash at my place, baby you’re a wreck…”
The flame under her belly began to dim just a bit as the usual thoughts crept into her head. Nothing would test his beliefs more than finding out the truth about her. Hearing about what she had been through, and what she had done because of it. If he knew how much blood was on her hands, he would never touch them. If he knew what all her scars and wounds were from -- her arm, her cheek, the notch in her ear, her half-missing finger, everything hidden by her clothes… he would be staggered.
He believed all of her lies without question. The fake sob stories she had spun to cover up the darker truth. Mavis had made a life off of lying, and it was all too easy to control a trusting heart.
Yet, still, somehow, lies aside… she seemed to admire that trusting heart.
“Thinkin’ in a bad way, losin’ your grip Screamin’ at my face, baby don’t trip Someone took a big L, don’t know how that felt Lookin’ at you sideways, party on tilt…”
Red seemed to notice her simmering down the tiniest bit. He stepped in an inch closer and ducked his head to give her an inquisitive look and a hopeful smile. She both loved and hated the way she could not help but smile back. Sometimes, when faced with his kindness, she dared to wonder if he might actually be kind enough to hear the truth and forgive her for it. But then her rational brain would kick in, and play out for her just what that confession would sound like:
‘Hey Red, what if I told you that I literally murdered an old man, a child, and a coworker, and also I only started hanging out with you because you look like the guy I loved for thirty years, and I’ve been lying to your face this entire time?’
...No. That would not go over well.
“Ooh-ooh, some things you just can’t refuse She wanna ride me like a cruise, and I’m not tryna lose…”
Still, from the way he looked at her, and the way he slid his hand up her arm to pull her in the tiniest bit closer, it was safe to say… he was not afraid of her, the way he saw her. What he saw, exactly, she could not have been sure.
All she knew in that moment was that he so badly wanted to dance with her. And she wanted to dance with him.
So she would live in the moment. Rather, live in the song.
Obliging him, she moved right into his space. He held her waist, she held his arms, and as he smiled brightly, they fell into the flow of the watery blue light.
“Then you’re left in the dust Unless I stuck by ya You’re the sunflower I think your love would be too much...”
As she smirked at him, and she studied the way his eyes squinted at the edges with his smile, wondered, not for the first time, how he got to be so… genuinely good, in ways she never would have expected from a Turbo duplicate. Her Turbo was not a ‘good’ person, and neither was she. They were good in whatever way served them. That always seemed right. It seemed smart. The only way to really be happy.
But Red was inarguably a good, kind person through and through, and he sure seemed happy.
“Or you’ll be left in the dust Unless I stuck by ya You’re the sunflower You’re the sunflower…”
Kindness from the original Turbo was a tough thing to earn (for everyone other than herself). Felix was kind, but it was almost fearful at times, or stressed, like he was too tightly restrained by good manners. But with Red? His kindness was immediate. It was without fear or grudge. It was light, and warm, and easy to accept. Anyone who met him would easily say that kindness was just in his programming; it was the only way he knew how to be.
Mavis would have said differently.
It was not programming, it was not a set of unbreakable commands by the Devs. It was too real, too genuine for that. No, she believed that the thing that made him happiest was making others happy. He made the decision to be who he was. He deserved some credit for that.
When Red had shown her a documentary about flowers, it told of a bright, gold-petaled flower that always faced the sunlight. Red had done nothing but search for light and beauty since she met him. The connection was clear.
He was a walking, talking sunflower.
“Every time I’m leavin’ on ya You don’t make it easy, no Wish I could be there for ya Give me a reason to…”
Just then, Red took hold of her hands again, and twirled her around to dance close behind her. Her arms were crossed over her body, and she felt Red’s fingers lace into hers. Heart kicking up just a bit, but caught in the moment, Mavis leaned back into him just enough to feel his chest shifting against her back while she swayed. It was a sort of intimacy that she would not have granted to just anyone, but Red was exceptional, after all. He had been nothing but a friend to her since they crossed paths, and that was also not a title Mavis used lightly.
In all truth, it was utterly irresponsible of her to use it on Red.
There were times where she so desperately wished that she could have. She wanted to stay. She wanted to be his best friend, to grow closer, to see whatever parts of him he was hiding away. She wanted to understand how he could be so likable, so trusted by his community. It was a life she never quite had, even as Pyrite. But Red had welcomed her into a world where no one knew about her past. Maybe, with Red’s example, she could have turned over a new leaf, a little bit. Not all the way. But since coming to the internet, spending time with Red had been the first spark of life in the desolate ruins of her tired, old mind.
But that could not happen. In the end, she would have to leave. That was the only end to the story. The sooner, the better. The sooner, the kinder.
No matter how much fun she was having. No matter how happy she was. No matter how much she shivered at the proximity of his face bowing over her shoulder, no matter how familiar that demon-level heat felt behind her, no matter how good it felt to enjoy being touched again…
For once in her life, she had to do the right thing.
Just… not yet.
“Every time I’m walkin’ out I can hear you tellin’ me to turn around Fightin’ for my trust and you won’t back down Even if we gotta risk it all right now, oh…”
Mavis felt Red’s warm fingers slip out from between hers, and without realizing that she had turned, she found herself facing him again. And, just like that, he was all she could see. He was still smiling at her, but it had become gentler in a way, sort of lighter. His glowing eyes were now untouched by his smile, but they were soft, and full of distinct admiration, even adoration.
Conflict stirred in Mavis’ belly. So much of what Red saw when he looked at her like that was a lie. His admiration was misplaced, pointed so far away from his beautiful, perfect world. Mavis was not admirable to sprites like Red.
But he knew some of her, and that seemed to be enough to dazzle him. She could see it in his face when she performed, or took crazy risks, or left a whole room laughing. She had to admit that being looked at with such genuine, accepting affection felt pretty good, even if it was misguided. It had just been so long. The last sprite to ever look at her like that was…
...Red really was a spitting image of Turbo.
She was told that was just how duplicates worked, but Red was the first duplicate she ever met. He was exactly Turbo, only… his hair was shorter and cleaner… his skin was smoother and healthier… and his eyes were relaxed and trusting. Mavis had to wonder if Red was just a model of what Turbo might have looked like if he had not been plugged into a crushing arcade life. If he had ever truly been free of the way that world laid waste to his mind, the same way it did hers.
But she was the one who lived to escape that world. It should have been both of them.
Mavis’ heart ached deeply at the reminder.
“I know you’re scared of the unknown…”
Red must have noticed a change in her, because his expression only softened further, and the adoration turned… sad, somehow. Like there were things he wanted to say, but knew it was not the time or place. He hesitated, stroking her hands with his thumbs. Then she felt his hand slide gently up her forearm, completely unafraid of the rows of scars, oblivious to the ghosts of tragedy that haunted them. He pulled her a bit closer, carefully.
“You don’t wanna be alone…”
Mavis was nearly motionless. The ache in her heart had spread its roots all through her body, and she was quite nearly consumed by grief, right there on the dance floor. All she could do was look at Red, and how he was a living, breathing image of the one she lost. She missed him so wretchedly much, and here he was… almost. Red was so, so close to the root of her heartache.
“I know I always come and go…”
Red brought his hand up slowly to cup her cheek, and he brushed his thumb over the raised scar there. Mavis’ heart just pulsed with thick, hot sludge. She was drowning in him. Drowning in all the things he was doing, and how they were all the things she missed. The way his forehead touched hers, and the warmth of his flushed face glowing on hers. Being so close to his eyes that she could see the deep red irises in them. Watching them close as he tilted her head up, tasting that hint of sugar on his breath, and he was so close, and it was happening, and she could relive it all, if she just gave in, if she just let him kiss her…
“But it’s out of my control…”
NO!
With a brisk shove, Mavis freed herself. She did not stop to look at Red’s reaction before pushing and weaving her way through the crowd in a hurry. Her chest was burning, and her head was spinning. She had just come so close to blowing it, and it terrified her how easy it was. How much she liked it.
She emerged from the crowd as a frantic, emotional mess, and Red’s brothers were right where she left them, to her dismay. Mavis paused for only a moment to look at them, and they straightened up at the sight of her. Over the music, she heard Red call her name in pursuit of her.
But she could not bring herself to reply, even though she wanted to. She wanted so badly to apologize to him, and to his brothers. And she would later, make no mistake, she would come up with some adequate explanation and apologize sincerely, but just not yet. Not while she was so angry with herself.
She could not use Red to fill in the gaps that Turbo left in her life. She could not do that to Turbo’s memory. She could not do that to herself, not when she was already bound to lose him.
And she absolutely could not do that to Red.
Trembling down to her bones, fighting tears starting to brim, and without so much as a glance back, she rushed into the glowing, green exit portal, leaving the previously wonderful party behind.
“And you’ll be left in the dust Unless I stuck by ya You’re the sunflower I think your love would be too much…”

Live Furious, Die Fast [c.h]
a/n: i wrote this because of @c-dizzle-swizzlex and @twoamhood so it’s dedicated to them.  It’s pretty much modeled after the first movie with a bit of inspo from the others too, but like i said, i tweaked it to make it click better as i saw fit. There are also a lot of weird cuts in the movie and i couldn't include every scene so just bear with me. If you haven't seen the movie, the premise is that the boys are street racers who are running an illegal operation on the side. Enjoy! (this is still in the era of black haired cal) also, huge thanks to @calumh-excess who was crucial in the final stages of the writing process!
word count: around 8k
warnings: violence?
summary: If you haven't seen the movie, the premise is that the boys are street racers who are running an illegal operation on the side
Just for reference this is what car they all drive:
Luke: baby blue Porsche 911 GT2 RS
Ashton: cherry red 2019 ford mustang with a one cylinder nitro motor
Michael: purple honda civic with a V8 cylinder motor and green flames
Calum: jet black 1965 ford mustang GT with a two cylinder nitro system
______________________________________________________________________
Boys were dumbasses. Calum knew this mainly because he was one. Still, it didn’t change the fact that, at their core, all boys were dumbasses. This was all Cal could think as he watched one of his closest mates offer up his pink slip over a goddamn race. Dumbass. Maybe Ash was one of the best racers in L.A. but there was no reason to take that risk unless absolutely necessary. Still, it was fun to see Ash pretend that his car wasn’t as fast as it actually was. Michael had done a hell of a job with the designs for the restoration, so, aside from Cal’s own car, it was probably one of the fastest ones in L.A.. Cal was grinning, but he hand his hand over his face to keep up his stoic appearance. While Cal may not have been able to stop this madness, there was no way in Hell he’d approve of it. Still, the adrenaline from the race was a hell of a rush. Especially as Ash hit the nitro and visibly made the other racer eat his dust. He won by quite a bit, too. Cal already knew that he and the boys would have a hot meal after turning the car.  Usually they just sold the cars back to their original owners, which was convenient as fuck.
“Do you have to give them so much hope?” Cal reached into his pocket and drew out another cigarette and his lighter. He lit up and took a deep inhale. This “team” as they called themselves would be the death of him.
“Aw, c’mon mate. You know it’s more fun that way.” Ash giggled and checked out his new set of wheels.
“Alright, alright.” Cal took another drag of the cig. Being the leader of this rag tag group had its perks and its downfalls, one of them being trying to control all these asshats. “You’ve had your fun. Ditch the car and we’ll rollout.”
Ash chuckled again and waved Jake, the original owner of the car, over. It was a quick deal, ten gs for his car back. Jake knew how they rolled and was prepared to give the cash over without an issue. It was simple, just a standard Friday night. That is, until the cops showed.
“Everybody clear out!” Cal shouted over the madness at the first whisper of a siren. The more people that were in jail, the less money he made off them. So yeah, it was in his best interest to keep them out. Cal watched for a few seconds as everyone bolted to their cars and peeled off the street they had been using as a track. As soon as Cal saw Ash was in his car and heading, Cal hopped in his own ride and floored it. The cops were on his ass. Mainly because he had waited so long for everyone else to clear out. It took him a hot minute to lose the majority of them, so once he narrowed it down to only three sets of red and blue lights, he was ready to be done with them. He took two hard lefts, letting his car drift, but not too hard. He made sure to keep his car hugging the curb. One of the cops drifted too hard, practically wrapping his car around the telephone pole on the corner. Cal hoped the cop inside was okay, but it was still one less cop on his ass. Cal then drifted into another hard right and then another left as soon as he had cleared the curb, steering his car into an empty storage locker. He whipped the door open and slammed the locker door shut before the cops even rounded the first corner. He stopped for a minute and caught his breath before pulling his leather jacket back on and hoofing it back onto the street. He barely made it two hundred feet before a rather late cop came sloppily around the corner. Cal knew he was in for a shitstorm when the cop made quick work of a three point turn and headed back in Cal’s direction.
“Hey, Hood. Stop right where you are. Face to the Pavement.” The megaphone crackled over the cop’s loudspeakers. Cal just thought ‘fuck it’ and sprinted for the nearest alleyway. It was probably a lost cause, though. The alley wasn’t even a dead end, and Cal knew these idiots would chase him to the ends of the Earth. So when cherry red Nissan 370Z pulled up next to him, he didn’t hesitate to hop in. Maybe it was a little stupid and a lot reckless, but the only thing he could think of was staying out of jail. He didn’t bother to look at whoever had picked him up, instead training his concentration on the sirens getting louder and louder behind them.  Whoever was driving him was having none of it, taking a wide drift out of the alley. The cop behind them tried to follow suit, but was instead hit by an oncoming car.
As they sped off, two more cops approach from the opposite direction. They tried to form a roadblock with their cars, but Cal’s driver knew what they were doing. The two of them were pushed and pulled by the momentum of the car as it swerved to avoid the obstacles in the road. The cops took too long to right their vehicles, so by the time they did, Calum and his mystery driver were already long gone. The road they had taken spilled out onto the highway where Cal finally got a good look at his supposed savior. To his somewhat surprise, it was a girl, and not even the kind he was used to. Most of the chicks he hung with were either blondes or brunettes, with tube tops and tight leather skirts that barely covered anything. This girls, she didn’t appear to be that kind of person. She looked more… clean cut. A typical upper class girl if he had to guess. Long and perky honey blonde hair and yellow green eyes? Just screamed cheerleader, especially with the ski-jump nose, high cheekbones and cream-like complexion. She certainly didn’t look like a racer. But when she opened her mouth, boy did she talk like one.
“So what’re you doin’ on this half of town?” She kept her eyes trained on the road, only acknowledging through her words. Her voice, though, was so unforgettable to Cal.  Husky and low, the kind that you got from smoking a few cigarettes each day.
“Dunno. Guess I got lost.” Cal didn’t know this girl, didn’t know who the hell she associated with. While Cal may not have had outright enemies, he certainly had a list of people that didn’t like him, and vice versa. It was better to be wary than the say the wrong thing to the wrong person.
“Hmm. Well, buddy, you picked the wrong place to get lost. This place gets ravaged by Johnny Tran and his gang quite a bit. You’re not safe alone out here.” This time, she spared a couple glances in Cal’s direction. They drove on for a few minutes with only the sounds of the tires treading over the concrete. They were alone on the road for quite a few miles.
Before Cal knew what was happening, a set of eight motorcycles was flainking the car. His mystery driver noticed what Cal was gaping at through her rearview mirror, muttering a small ‘shit’ under her breath. She started to accelerate, but before she could enact whatever plan she was forming in her head, one of the cyclist pulled up next to her window.
“Follow us.” The cyclist was shouting to be heard over the wind, but Cal could very clearly see the muzzle pointing right at the blonde. When he turned, he saw a twin muzzle pointing at him, too. He saw the girl’s knuckles whiten on the wheel, her nails digging into the leather. Together, with the motorcycles, they flew down the highway, on the way to god-knows-where. The blonde-haired beauty sitting next to him furrowed her brow, but Cal could someow sense that this wasn’t the only thing that was eating away at her. He studied her face, trying to decide if it was worth trying to talk to her. Before he could make up his mind, she skidded to a stop in the courtyard of a rundown chinese restaurant. When she stepped out of the car, Cal couldn’t help but notice that she was packing. She placed her hand on the door and slammed it hard, the bang echoing through the courtyard. Cal followed suit, closing the door softer than his driver but still firm. He leaned his back on the car and lit up a smoke. He was tense, but he made sure to look at ease. There was no way in hell he was going to be intimidated by anyone. Their escort circled them, prevent any sort of escape or shit. Whatever. Cal was sure to appear unbothered by any of this shit, even when Johnny Tran and his cousin Chase came speeding around the corner.
“Well, well, Hood. I think you’re a little lost.” Tran unhooked his leg for the seat and then proceeded to lean back against it, taking the girl who had ridden behind him under his arm.
“Hood wasn’t driving. Sorry though, I, uh, guess I lost my map.” Before Cal could open his mouth, his driver snapped back at Tran, her voice just dripping with sarcasm and venom. Cal felt his eyebrows tug up a little. This girl had some heat in her veins. He’d have to learn her name at some point.
“I don’t think I was speaking to you, Turell. And until I do, you had better keep you damn mouth shut.” Tran physically didn’t seem angry, but Cal could tell by Tran’s tone of voice that he was. What about this girl was making his blood boil the way it so clearly was? Every step Tran took was ripe with tension. At least now he was able to put a name to her face. Turell. He’d have Michael run a records check later. She might could be of use to him in the future. With the way she drove, there were quite a few possibilities.
“You need something Tran?” For the first time since their arrival, Cal opened his mouth. He blew the smoke out of his lungs and snubbed the cigarette out under his boot. Cal lazily brought his eyes up to meet Tran’s and cocked his head at an angle.
“Nice car you got here, Hood.” Tran strolled around the perimeter of the car, taking in every detail. “Whatta think, Chase?”
“Nice Car indeed.” Chase shrugged the machine gun he was holding up higher into his arms, making sure it was clear to the duo that he and Tran could and would use it. Tran seemed finished with the interaction. He slung his leg back over the bike and motioned for everyone to wheel out behind him. They sped off, and just as Cal and Turell were about to get back in, they heard the all too familiar high-pitched whine of motorcycles once again. Tran and Chase rounded the corner once more, but this time, instead of stopping to chat, they both brought out heavy weight machine guns. They covered Turell’s car in a smattering of bullets, shattering the glass, deflating the tires, damaging the motor. It happened in a matter of seconds, Tran and Chase gone as fast as they came. Turell just sighed and started examining the car before a look of pure fear crossed her face.
“NOS!” She screamed, immediately turning and sprinting away from the car. Cal mutter a fuck before following suit. At the last second, they dove for it, both of them hitting the dirt as  the car went up in flames behind them. Turell groaned and flipped over on her back, staring at the broken wreckage of her car.
“Thanks.” Cal stood up and offered her a hand, which she ignored.
“What for?” She sounded more tired than angry, which, for some odd reason, was a relief to Cal. He could put his finger on why, but he really just didn't want to be the cause of this girl’s anger.
“Everything, I guess.” Cal watched the girl brush herself off, not even bothering to go back to inspect the wreckage of her former car. He guessed there was nothing inside she need to keep. Or rather, nothing that could have survived. “I owe you one.”
“You owe me a ten second car.” She raised her eyebrows and pointed a finger at him. The way she said it was like it was a fact, not even up for debate.
Cal chuckled, brushing off her comment. They’d work something out later, but right now, they had to focus on getting back to town.
“So what did Tran want with you anyways, Hood?” She procured a cell phone from the pocket of her leather jacket and proceeded to hold it up, desperately trying to get a shred of a signal.
“I could ask you the same question, Turell.” Cal just shoved his fists as deep into the pockets of his jacket as they could go. It was a long story, and if presented with the option, Cal almost always chose to keep his mouth shut.
“AJ.” While AJ wasn’t ashamed to admit that the way Hood said her name was kinda sexy, she just wasn’t used to the idea of someone calling her ‘Turell’. She wasn’t a huge fan of her last name.
“Calum.” Cal offered his hand to her, a symbol of their acquaintance ship. They continued on in companionable silence for a while, only having miniscule conversations every once in awhile. After a solid five miles, they came across a point where AJ finally got service. She eagerly called a cab, saving them from the remaining fourteen miles on their feet. Cal just old the cabbie his address, not paying mind to the other occupant of the cab. He figured he’d pay for it, though. To somewhat make up for it.
Cal could hear the bass booming and shaking the walls of the house from two streets away. As soon a he got home, he was knocking heads together. Worthless dumbasses. He lumbered up to the porch before turning back and seeing AJ already halfway down the block, heading in what he assumed was the direction of her house. He thought for a moment before deciding that he did trust her, at least somewhat. Enough to invite her inside, he supposed.
“Turell! Want a beer?” Cal’s voice was rough against the mostly quiet street, but he could barely hear himself think over the bass of the house. He knew that, for whatever reason, he wanted her around.
AJ turned at the sound of his voice, a small smile playing on her lips. She didn’t say anything but she did turn and start walking back towards the house. Towards Cal’s house. Together they stepped inside, her smaller frame hidden by his large one. As soon as he came into their line of sight, both Ashton and Luke jumped up from where they were sitting.
“Cal, uh hey bud!” Ashton had a beer in his hand, slurring his words a little. “We were just about to go lookin’ for you!”
“Oh, shut up.” Cal sneered at the curly haired brunette standing before him with a beer in his hand. It was nice to know that while Cal had been chased by the cops, threatened by Tran, and on an involuntary ten mile hike, the boys had been nice and comfortable back at the house enjoying beers.
Cal walked back to the doorway where AJ was standing, but not before noticing Michael trying to get in a girl’s pants in the middle of the Living room.
“Oy. Turbo. Take it upstairs. You can’t paint a car without sanding it down first.” Cal shook his head as he picked his way through the drunk bodies. These boys would be the death of him. It was then he noticed Lindy. She was the final member of their little group, not counting Mali. Lindy had always been around as far as Cal could remember, but recently she had changed in ways that Cal wasn’t a fan of. To Cal, if you wanted others to respect you, you had to respect yourself first. Lindy had basically sold her body and while Cal believed that it wasn’t his place to tell her what to do with her body, he also wasn't going to take any part in that mess. Lindy, however, seemed to have her focus on something else. Or, rather, someone else.
“Why’d you bring that skank here?” Lindy was seething. She was leaning up against the door frame, arms crossed over her chest.
“Because the ‘skank’ kept me out of prison.” Cal could hear his voice rising as he spoke to her. He needed to walk away, fast, before he lost his temper. “That your beer?”
“Yeah, that’s my beer.” Lindy cocked her head at Cal, seemingly confused. Cal said nothing, instead just grabbing her beer and walking back to where AJ was standing.
“Here. You can have any beer you want, as long as it’s a Budweiser.” AJ smiled back and him and took the bottle from his hand. She then proceeded to make direct eye contact with Lindy as she wiped the mouth of the bottle for a solid minute with her shirt. Cal honestly thought it was pretty funny. Lindy looked like she was about to explode, but AJ was entirely unbohered, instead taking a long pull of the beer.
“Hey, do you have a bathroom I can use?” She turned to Cal with a slight smirk on her face. Her voice was soft, but Cal had no trouble hearing it over the bass. It had presence, an air of respect surrounding it.
“Upstairs. Second door on the left.” AJ turned and retreated up the staircase, Calum watching the whole time she was in view. Cal felt that there was a difference between her and the girls he was usually around, something about the way she carried herself. He found the respect she had for herself, the take no one’s shit attitude endearing. The way girls around here threw themselves at him, well, that just wasn't his vibe. But AJ, it seemed that all she wanted was her car back, nothing more. Cal respected her for that. So much so that he decided it would be a good idea to bring her to his sacred space the next day: his garage.
AJ had no idea what she was getting herself into. Hanging around with Calum Hood and his gang was no walk in the park. Especially with their rivalry with Tran’s gang. Tran had the numbers, but Calum Hood was a very cunning man. Still, it was inconvienet as fuck to keep getting kidnapped by Tran’s motorcycle gang, which was exactly what was happening right now. Although, now when the muzzle of the gun was shoved in her face, she sighed instead of getting all worked up. She found it worked better that way. They led her back to the same dumbass chinese place, and once again, AJ stepped out of the car that Hood had let her borrow and slammed the door.
“Were the guns really necessary this time?” AJ walked over to Tran who in turned opened his arms to her.
“Little sister. How nice to see you again.” Tran engulfed her in a hug, but AJ just sighed. She and Tran weren’t technically related, but they were pretty close. Tran had sort of taken her under his wing when she was younger, and they had remained close over the years.
“Hello, big brother. Please tell me your goons all had their weapons on safety.” AJ smirked at Tran, knowing full and well they didn’t. But she was still going to give him shit about it.
“Of course. Anything to report?” Tran really didn’t waste any time getting to the point. AJ didn’t either though, so she didn’t blame him for not making small talk.
“I think I’m in. Hood is practically wrapped around my finger. Although, was it really necessary to trash my car like that?” AJ was still sort of pissed about that. The Nissan that her brother had so ceremoniously trashed had been her first car, the one she and Johnny had practically built form the ground up.
“Hey. I promised I would make it up to you.” AJ knew that Johnny always kept his promises, but she was still a little pissed. Whatever he had for her had better be good.
“Remember. I need to know not only who, but how.” Johnny took her by the shoulders and looked directly into her eyes, gravely serious.
“I understand. If anyone knows, then it’ll be Hood. He has a hand in everything in the world.” AJ just rolled her eyes. How the hell was she supposed to be gathering intel if he checked up on her every second of every day. She just turned and walked back to her car. It was typical for him to worry about her, but it was still annoying as fuck. She just sped off, back to Hood’s garage. He said he had something to show her, and while AJ may not have known what the hell he was talking about, she had some hope that it was relevant to her conversation with he brother. Much to her disdain, Hood had other plans.
“Here you go.” Hood led her over to a beat up and burnt car. A true junker. AJ wasn’t even sure she could salvage it for parts.
“The fuck is this Hood?” AJ crossed her arms and smirked at Cal, who was grinning from ear to ear.
“This is the car.” Cal spread his arms and continued to smile. “You know, the one I owe you.”
“I asked for a ten second car, not a ten hour car.” AJ rolled her lips into her mouth, still not sure where Cal was going with this.
“Listen. You put about ten grand in and a few hours of work and this car will decimate.” Cal snapped his fingers and a pasty blonde man came over and put a set of plans into Cal’s open and awaiting palm.
“We’ll see.” AJ walked in a slow circle around the car, taking in every detail of it. The body may have been rough, but the car itself was the sickest thing she had ever seen. A 1969 chevy grand sport convertible. AJ’s dream car. Hood had no way of knowing that, but it was still a pretty fucking sweet moment for her.
“You can work on it here. If you can’t find the right tool in this garage, you don’t belong under the hood of a car.” Cal smiled at her one more time and then turned and walked back to his own car, eternally tinkering under the hood. AJ just smiled and lifted up the hood of the car. When she did, she let out a small whistle. Hood was right. This car would be killer, if they could fix it up that was.
“Hey. I’m Michael.” The same man who had given Cal the plans approached AJ and introduced himself.
“AJ.” AJ shook his hand, but her gazed remain on the car. She was trying to figure out all the schematics of the car, what color of paint, where the nitro can would go, how to reduce the maximum amount of weight while keeping the car functional.
“I have some plans drawn up if you wanna take a look.” Michael cleaned the grease off his hands with a rag and jerked his head in the direction he started walking. AJ followed him, but was still thinking about that damn car. It would be perfect when she was finished. Absolutely perfect.
“Here.” Michael led her over to a computer and typed in a line of code. Some blueprints popped up a few seconds later, for her car only better. There was an amped up version of her engine, a detailed list of every part they would need, even how many horsepower the car would have when they were done.
“Holy shit, man. You should have gone to MIT or some shit.” AJ was in awe. She had wanted to go to college, but life doesn't always work out the way you wanted. AJ both understood and respected that.
“Nah. I wanted to stay here, with my brothers. It’s the only life I’ve ever known, but it’s the only life I’d want to live.” Michael grinned softly at her, vulnerable but completely at ease. He used two fingers and pushed his glasses back up to the bridge of his nose. AJ smiled back at him, happy to be a part of their small but loyal group.
AJ wasn’t quite sure how she had ended up here. At a barbeque. With Calum Hood and his entire gang. But the food smelled delicious, so who was she to complain? They were waiting to eat til Lindy got here with the rolls and extra beer, but AJ didn’t mind, instead enjoying a casual conversation with Cal. Without realizing it, they slipped from casually talking, to kind of flirting in a way. Neither of them realized it, but Ashton and Luke watched them closely. They had never seen Cal this happy before, but it was a nice change of pace for him. It was peaceful for a few moments, Michael lost in a book, Ash and Luke appreciating Cal’s smile, and Cal and AJ lost in their own little world. It was nice, until they heard the roar of an engine approaching. Lindy.
“Lindy. Come help me with the rest of the chicken.” Cal welcomed Lindy, with a gracious smile and a nod of his head. Lindy, however, was in no mood for niceties.
“No, it looks like you have all the help you need there, Cal.” With that, Lindy threw the beer and rolls to Ash and Luke. She then climbed back into her car and sped off, back down the street.
“Her loss. The chicken is fucking amazing.” AJ snorted, brushing off Lindy’s downright rude behavior.
“You’ve eaten?” Cal looked back at AJ, an expression of disbelief on his face. He was dumbfounded at the fact that he had been standing there the entire time, laughing and talking to her, and yet AJ still managed to steal a piece of chicken and eat it. He was really more impressed than anything else.
“Uh, no?” AJ looked at him sheepishly, answering timidly. They all knew it was a lie, but it was worth a shot to try.
“Yeah, whatever. Let’s all of us eat.” Cal stated loudly, putting extra stress on the word all. Everyone help to gather the food together and set it up nicely on the table. It was like a typical american barbeque with family and friends. Not once had she ever felt anything even remotely like this with Johnny and Chase. This closeness. This type of family. It was utterly new and fragile, and it made AJ’s heart break a little knowing it would all be over so soon. The rest of the lunch went by smoothly, just so utterly comfortable. It was an easy transition from the soft lunch, to all of them munching on popcorn and watching some awful movie on TV. They were all a tangle of limbs, spilling of the couch and onto the floor. AJ was sandwiched between Cal and Luke, Luke’s long legs slung over her own and trapping her in. Still, she wouldn't have wanted to get up anyways. Which is why she had such a difficult time getting up to leave.
“AJ. Hey. What do you say we take the grand sport out for a test drive tomorrow? You know, before the big desert races?” Cal was still seated on the couch, only now he had a fast asleep luke completely slumped onto his lap.
“Sure thing. I’ll see you tomorrow.” And with that, AJ slipped out the door heading back to her apartment.
Cal smiled to himself, knowing no one else had shared that moment with him and AJ. While he was more than excited for her to be able to race the car, he was still somewhat disappointed that he wouldn’t be working on the car with her everyday for hours on end. Still, he was confident that they had made enough of an imprint on her for her to still come around. Although, Cal felt that she deserved a medal for putting up with them. Between Lindy’s bullshit and the boys’ dumbassery, AJ was a whole different type of person. The type that Cal, for whatever, found himself falling in love with. He knew it was a cliche, but Cal was more than ready to be the first to say that AJ was different from other girls. Cal didn’t care about the cliche though. He believed that when you were in love with someone, that someone truly is different from all other people. That person is so different because they’re yours. And no one could truly replace them.
Cal and AJ met the next day at the garage. Cal hadn’t let AJ see the final results, not the paint job nor the interior and chrome detailing. So the big reveal was a sight to behold.
“You ready?” Cal smirked, thumb hovering over the button on the garage door opener. It was exciting, both of them feeling the adrenaline flowing through their veins. AJ was practically bouncing up and down, and Cal was eating up the elated expression written all over her face. It was a new sensation for him, this feeling of pure love. Sure the boys were his life, but it was nice to have something for him for once. Just his.
“Born ready, Hood.” AJ was in trouble. Everything with this fucking mission had gone so wrong, so so fast. Mainly because she had fallen for Calum fucking Hood so hard so fast. She had, like an idiot, fallen in love with her brother’s worst rival. Damn.
So Calum clicked the button and watched as AJ lit up. She gasped loudly and ran over to the car, actually hugging it. Cal couldn’t blame her though, the car was a beauty. Jet black with a multi finish chrome. An all leather interior and completely black as well. The team had even installed blue led lights in the wheel houses.
“Let’s take her out for a spin, eh?” Cal was more than ready to get behind the wheel, really see how fast she could go. But before he could react, AJ snathed the keys out of his hand and jumped into the driver's seat, forgoing the door altogether. Cal rolled his lips into his mouth, but he was smiling so hard. AJ drove like someone was after her, taking every turn or corner as a drift, screeching to a stop at every light. They continued like that for a while, retreating further and further out of town. Eventually they pulled up at a spotlight right next to a Ferrari of some sorts.
“Nice car.” AJ called out to the man across the lanes of traffic. “What’s the retail on one of those?”
“More than you can afford, sweetheart.” Stuck up bigot.
“Smoke him.” Cal muttered under his breath to AJ, ready to make this idiot with a stick up his ass eat their dust. Which is exactly what happened. As soon as the light turned green, AJ floored it. There were a few cars in front of her, but AJ had no restraints keeping her from swerving into the oncoming traffic lanes. They smoke that asshole by miles, watching him fade to a mere speck in their rearview mirrors. It was something else, honestly. Eventually they pulled into a small but packed seafood restaurant. The two of them got a table on the back patio. They had an amazing view of the ocean and could feel the cool sea breeze hitting them every so often.
“This is dumb.” AJ just blurted it out, completely unprovoked. Cal looked up in surprise, a shrimp tail hanging out from between his lips.
“What?” Cal finished chewing and swallowing before asking his question. What did she mean, this is dumb? Being with him? Racing? He hoped not.
“Just, this!” AJ knew she wasn’t articulating what she really wanted to say, but it was hard to put her pent up feelings into words.
“Keep talking like that, and you’re gonna lose your meal ticket?” Cal knew he was just pretending to brush it off, but if AJ actually meant that she thought being with him was dumb, he was going to break.
“First, I don’t need you to pay for me. Second, I just need you to stop lying to me. I want in. On whatever you’re running, I want in.” AJ relaxed against the booth seat she was sitting in, almost breathless. It felt weird, knowing she was getting this info only to feed it back to her brother. Only to use it against him.
“I’ll tell you what. We’ll see how you do at the desert races this weekend, then we’ll talk.
Cal slipped her a piece of paper out of his shirt pocket, sliding it across the table to her. Her fingers brushed his as she picked it up and looked at the address, her touch sending tingles down his spine. Tomorrow couldn’t come soon enough.
Tomorrow came too soon. Today was the day when she would know. If it was Hood and his gang, then her source of happiness for the past few days would al disappear. She had a strong sense of loyalty, but and issue presented itself with that. Should she be loyal to Tran, her brother, or Cal, her love? It was a difficult decision, but she knew she would face a great loss either way. She had to focus up, get her head in the game. This was a problem for later. Right now, there was two grand on the line and her reputation. She didn’t come to lose. And the idiot she was up against? A fucking ameatuer. Used his Nos within the first twenty seconds. AJ knew she had it won. She even smiled sweetly and waved as the idiot she was racing at her dust.
It was as she was finishing up her race that Tran pulled her aside to talk, still on a high from the win.
“Any new intel?” Johnny kept his grip tight on her arm, too tight for her comfort.
“No. I find out today.” AJ forcibly pulled her arm out of his vice grip. When she saw the bruises already forming on her arm, it was then she knew. Tran had never actually seen her as a sister. Merely an opportunity. A broken little girl who could be manipulated for his needs. All the times he had sacrificed her for the profit, all the bruises and broken bones she had endured. Just a means of infiltrating other gang. She was sick of being lied to, sick of being used. So she made up her mind. Her loyalty lied with Cal. Cal alone. She turned and stalked away from Johnny with no other word, merely retreating to the trailer that Cal had brought out from the group. The sun had already set, signaling the end of the races,  so she was hoping to catch him. They had quite a bit to discuss. While she was sick of people lying to her, she was also sick of lying to the people she cared about. She stepped into the trailer, but before she could call out his name, she heard arguing outside the trailer. Loudly. She approached the window, staying behind the curtain, but still able to hear every word.
“You shouldn’t do this Cal. It’s not safe anymore.” Lindy was yelling at Cal, and she was starting to cause a scene. She was even tearing up a little.
“This is the last one. Chill out. We’ll be back soon.” Cal didn’t make any move to comfort her, instead just turning and walking away.
This was it. AJ could feel it, from the context to the raw tension in the air. However, contrary to what she had told Cal yesterday, she didn’t want in. She wanted them to stop. After growing closer to them, she feared for their safety more than anything. AJ had pulled off a few stunts like this with Johnny, so she knew first hand how dangerous they truly were. Now that the truckers knew they were coming, she was sure they would be arming themselves against the gang. She immediately ran out of the trailer and sprinted over to Lindy.
“Where are they going?” She grabbed Lindy by the shoulders and spun her around, looking directly into her eyes. It was clear from her conversation with Cal that Lindy was the only other person who understood the gravity of the situation.
“Get off of me, Turell. Or, should I say, Tran?” Lindy looked at AJ with fire in her eyes. AJ started chewing on her bottom lip. Shit. This isn’t what she needed right now, especially if she wanted to save the boys she had so come to love.
“Listen. It’s not what it seems. I get that you hate me, and that you don’t trust me, but right now, I’m your only shot at saving those boys. And if you love them as much as I do, then you’ll get in the car with me.” AJ removed her hands from Lindy’s shoulders, completely grave. There was too much at stake for games or jealousy. Lindy seemed to understand that, though, Together, she and AJ ran to the grand sport. They climbed in, and AJ had the pedal almost through the baseboard of the car before she was even full seated. Lindy gave her some quick directions to a shipment about forty minutes from their location, and all AJ could do was speed in that direction with her knuckles white on the steering wheel. She just hoped she got there in time.
This was the third truck that they had raided, and so far, Cal was hoping that it would go like the first two. But, as he learned the hard way, hopes didn’t get people very far in life. Everything had gone wrong as soon as Luke had made the jump from Cal’s car to the grill plate of the target truck. It was Ashton who had first noticed the gun, radioing it over to the others so they could abort. Sadly, it was too late to warn Luke so the blond had made the jump anyways. Cal watched as Luke realized what the driver was holding, watched as he panicked and tried to hide to avoid the spray of bullets from the buck shot. Cal muttered out a string of curse words, knowing he was powerless to stop this mess from happening. Luke was flopping around trying to find a foothold, spiraling around to the passengers side of the door.
That would have been fine if not for the fact that the wire he had used as a grounding system got tangled around his arm, bloodying it. Cal and Ash pulled onto either side of the truck and Michael took point, each of them shouting into the radio, desperately searching for a way to rescue their friend. It was then Cal noticed the jet black grand sport approaching behind them at a high rate of speed. He was so busy focusing on AJ and Lindy approaching in the rearview mirror that he failed to notice the 18-wheeler slamming into his side before it was too late. Cal felt the collision in his bones, rolling the car three times into the desert brush and ditch. His ears were ringing and everything was hurting, but he still remained focused on Luke. He heard a faint crackling diluted by the ringing in his ears, heard Ash’s voice broadcast over the radio that he was turning back for Cal. Cal wanted to respond, tell him to remain focused on Luke, but for some reason he couldn’t move his arms. He was tired, though. So tired. It was right as Ash was pulling him out of the wreckage that Cal let himself slip into the darkness.
This was bad. This was so, so bad. Lindy and AJ pulled up along the truck just in time to see one of the cars get smashed by it and go rolling into the ditch. The next thing they saw was Luke’s lifeless body swinging from the passenger’s side door. They both gasped and Lindy burst into tears, but AJ’s grip on the wheel just tightened. She was more determined than ever to save her friends. AJ pulled up as close as she could she could to Luke, which was sort of difficult considering the fact that the truck was swerving all over the road.
“Lindy, take the wheel!” That was all the warning that AJ gave Lindy before standing. Lindy, despite protesting, promptly slid over, taking the wheel and keeping pressure on the pedal.
AJ watched for a second to ensure her timing was just right before making the jump. It sort of felt like she was moving in slow motion while she was in the air. So much could go wrong so fast, and yet she would do nothing different even if he had the chance. AJ slammed into the passenger side door, scrambling for a foothold. This was not how she was going to die. After she felt as stable as possible while hanging onto the door of an 18-wheeler going 70 down the highway, she got to work on helping Luke.
“Luke. Hey, bud listen you gotta focus up for a second.” AJ was worried. The wire had cut him pretty deep in some places, and everything was slick with copious amounts of blood. “Luke. Put your arm around me, okay?”
Luke did as he was told despite only being half conscious. Lindy seemed to understand what was going on because she pulled that car as close as she could get it. AJ knew a chance when she saw it, so she took it quickly and without hesitation. She pushed both Luke and herself off of the turck and into the car, trying to use what little momentum she had. They made it back safely into AJ’s car, and Lindy slammed on the brakes, peeling back to check on Cal. Michael had somehow seen the entire thing, so he too circled back. As soon as they got to the wreckage, AJ knew it was bad. She had managed to fasten a makeshift tourniquet for Luke, but she knew that if they didn’t get him medical attention soon, things would not end well for curly haired angel.
“Listen. Get Michael and Ashton and get Luke to a hospital. Now. I’ll get Cal.” Lindy still seemed wary of her, but AJ knew that Lindy trusted her. After seeing her jump to and from a moving vehicle for someone AJ had known mere weeks, Lindy had to trust her. AJ watched as the second girl sprinted off and got Ash and Michael. They were off in Michael’s car before AJ had even picked her way down to the wreckage. When she did, she breathed a sigh of relief. Maybe he was bloodied and bruised, but Cal was alive. That was all she needed. Him being conscious was just a bonus.
“Hey, Hood.”  AJ was gravely worried, but she was also grinning from ear to ear. Cal was alive. He was okay.
“Hey yourself, Turell. You gonna get me out of here or what?” Cal grunted, obviously in pain, but there were underlying tones of softness in his voice. A certain softness that was reserved only for her. It took them a few minutes, but eventually AJ got Calum out of the trashed car and into her own. He was bleeding in various spots and his left arm was clutching his right shoulder, but he was okay. He had assured AJ of that numerous times. Instead of going to the hospital like AJ wanted and Cal absolutely did not, AJ drove them swiftly back the her apartment. Johnny didn’t know about and it had its own private garage, so they were safe there.  Cal was in a lot of pain even though he refused to admit it, so much so that AJ was pretty much carrying him upstairs to her apartment. As soon as she could, AJ lowered Calum onto the bed, as gently as she could of course, and ran to the bathroom to get the first aid kit she kept there. She went back to the bed only to find Cal in the exact same position that she had left him in. AJ started to take his jacket and shirt off, with minimal assistance from Calum himself.
“Slow down there girlie. At least let me take you on a date first.” Cal was starting to slur his words a little, but AJ knew it was because of the deliria from the pain.
She worked a little faster, climbing on the bed and straddling his hips so she could see what she was doing better. The work was meticulous, pulling tiny beads of glass from under his skin, stitching the larger gashes, and cleaning and bandaging all of them thoroughly. Cal just grunted here and there, not fully aware of what was happening. AJ thought it was probably better that way. She didn’t quite know what to do with his shoulder, though. From the way it was hanging, it was probably dislocated. Johnny had done that once and it had popped back in naturally over the span of about a week. AJ just decided to put it in a sling, ice it, and hope for the best. By the time she was finished, Cal had long since faded off and the clock was approaching 4am. Her concentration had kept her from being too tired, but now that it was broken her vision was starting to blur. She decided to take five on the bed to rest a little before packing it up and moving to the couch. Just five minutes.

The Separation of Worlds Occurring
The Separation of Worlds Occurring
By Hare in the Moon Astrology
Wednesday August 7 2019
“Are you feeling a bit shaken, maybe stirred, maybe fearful and completely, utterly terrified? Good , keep going.” Victoria Erickson
This Leo Super New Moon seismic window -only now diminishing in intensity- means business. And not business as usual but playing for very high stakes. But it’s not over until it’s over and that weird sensation of being tumbled out of control in a giant centrifuge will amplify all week as both Awakener Uranus and expansionist Jupiter station to change direction next Monday 12th.
As above, so below. As without, so within. What is playing out in the collective, ”out there”, is being mirrored inside you, in your own unique constellation of stardust. You are being asked to break. Break up. Break down. Break out. It’s the Separation of Worlds, of Time-lines showing up as extreme polarisation.
Outside – the old social and political contracts are being broken, smashed, eroded and deleted wherever you look; the contract between the US President and the nation to be a unifying force ;the contract between world powers to allow free trade; the contract between the United Kingdom Parliament and the people; the contract between the UK and Europe; the contract between North Korea and the US; and the contract between the nuclear powers-US, Russia and China.
Inside- the old is deleting but the new is still emerging into form -you are literally between worlds , between the known and unknown and that’s a space that can feels to the ego like an existential threat to survival. Look more closely within. That edgy sense of chaos and total loss of certainty is your outdated belief systems, mind viruses and negative self-hypnosis being spun away from the centre, revealing an empty space where, if you offer no resistance, you are receptive to the Grace arising now. The sideways elevators of Jupiter and Uranus -the forerunner futurist awakeners-are creating a vector you didn’t realise was there. Whenever these show up, take the ride into radically new, uncharted and visionary territory.
“This is what it feels like to be brilliantly achingly alive. Alive in the shatter. Alive in the empty. This is what it is to belong to things we cannot possibly understand. This is what it is to trust in the terrifying wisdom of our own becoming” Jeanette LeBlanc.

Hoping I’ve Got It All Right Chapter 2: Don’t You Know What You’re Starting?
Tumblr media
AO3
Sakura Sojiro is prepared for a lot of things, but he’s not prepared for the boys who walks into his café.
The kid is quiet. Polite. He calls him “Sakura-san” and doesn’t complain about sleeping in the attic. The only question he has is if he could plant flowers in the window if he can find a planter box for it. He is, in no way, shape, or form, the delinquent Sojiro was expecting.
Sojiro doesn’t know how to handle this kind of honesty, so he calls the kid a pain in the ass, tells him not to do anything reckless, and heads home, where even if Futaba comes with issues, they make sense.
*
[Akira]: Got here safe. Sakura-san gave me a big room.
[Jun]: Good! I shipped some dried flowers with your clothes. Make sure to hang them up.
[Akira]: Okay, Papa.
[Tatsuya]: You’re going to the school tomorrow, right?”
[Akira]: Yeah.
[Tatsuya]: Let us know how that goes.
[Akira]: I will.
[Akira]: I’ll probably head to bed early. I’m tired.
[Jun]: Good night, sweetie!
[Tatsuya]: Good night.
[Akira]: Night. Love you.
[Jun]: 💖💖💖
*
Papa sent some dried lavender, so Akira hangs it by what he decides is the head of his bed. Well, “bed” is probably generous. It’s a thin mattress on a bunch of crates. He glances at the couch he just wiped down and decides the “bed” is his best bet for any kind of restful sleep.
He’s glad he convinced Dad and Papa not to come. They would never let him stay here, and this is their last hope. Akira can deal with living in an attic for a year if it means everything will go back to normal after.
He re-deletes the weird red app from his phone, goes to sleep, and dreams of a blue prison, of twin wardens, and of a man with a long nose and a deep voice.
*
[Akira]: I met my homeroom teacher. Her name is Kawakami-sensei.
[Akira]: She seems tired.
[Jun]: She had to come in on her day off. Of course she’s tired.
[Tatsuya]: Give her my cell number next time you see her. I want to introduce myself.
[Akira]: Ok, Dad.
[Jun]: Did you ride the train today?
[Akira]: No, Sakura-san drove me. I’ll have to take the train tomorrow.
[Jun]: Well, be careful, and leave a little early so you have extra time in case you get lost.
[Akira]: I know, Papa, I will.
*
The punk kid reminds Akira of Uncle Eikichi, so he feels comfortable following him to school. Which would have been fine, but the school is a castle and they’re in a dungeon and all Akira wanted was a normal day.
He feels sick—like, physically ill—when the man his schoolmate called “Kamoshida” starts beating him. It’s the same feeling Akira had before he pushed the man who sued him, encouraging him to act.
So he does.
Even when he’s pinned to the wall, he struggles. He feels a bit like a feral ccat, wriggling and hissing and clawing at the suits of armor to get free. His back is already aching; it will probably be covered in bruises come morning from how hard he’s being slammed against the brick behind him.
But he keeps fighting, because he’ll die before he lets an innocent person get hurt if he can stop it.
And then comes a voice, both new and familiar, and his head feels like it’s going to break in half because the insides are too big for his skull. Call upon my name, says the voice, and release thy rage! so Akira says, “Arsène.”
The sound of his voice alerts Kamoshida, who stops in his brutal beating of the other boy to face Akira. The blond boy is panting, covered in scratches and bruises and looking half dead already. Something flares in the back of Akira’s mind. Something primal. This boy whose name he doesn’t even know is his. He knows this like he knows the sky is blue and Aunt Maya can’t clean. It’s a fact, undeniable and true. It’s not sexual or romantic, but the boy is his, and he refuses to let Kamoshida touch him again.
“I will stop you,” he tells Kamoshida, and he almost doesn’t recognize his own voice. It’s low, guttural. Barely human. He’s gratified to see some of the color drain from Kamoshida’s face, and, emboldened, continues speaking. “You have no right to touch him.”
Kamoshida laughs, though it’s a bit shaky. “No right? I’m the king of this castle! I can do whatever I please!” He jerks his head, and one of the guards slams his shield into Akira’s face, knocking his glasses to the cell floor.
“If this is how you want to play it,” Akira says in that animalistic voice, “so be it.”
And there’s a mask on his face, and he needs to get it off get it off getitoff, so he rips it off, and he’s surrounded by blue flames that don’t burn.
*
“Do you honestly expect me to believe that?”
“You can believe or disbelieve whatever you want. I’m just telling you what happened, Prosecutor-san.”
*
The cat-monster he and the other boy rescue is familiar to Akira. He can’t really place why, just like how he knows the boy is his somehow, but this isn’t the first time he’s met Morgana. He tells himself it’s because of Arsène and Zorro and pretends that’s it until he has more time to think about it.
*
Going to school after… everything is surreal. He tells Kawakami-sensei he got lost on the subway and while he knows she doesn’t believe it, he also knows she has no proof that he’s lying. He gives her his dad’s cell number and sits behind the girl who got in Kamoshida’s car this morning and does his best to ignore his classmates’ pointed whispers.
*
The boy is Sakamoto Ryuji, Akira learns on Shujin’s roof. When Akira looks at him, he sees the white flowers of the copaiba tree, or maybe the African violet. Something that symbolizes his honesty and vitality.
He doesn't know why he has this power. He doesn’t know why the school turned into a castle and then back into a school. But he knows he wants answers and has the ability to get them, so he agrees to help Ryuji.
(Plus, he’s not about to leave Kamoshida alone with Ryuji again. Ryuji is his, and he’s going to protect what’s his.)
*
Sojiro is angry with Akira when he comes back to the café.
Maybe angry isn’t the right word. Sakura-san doesn’t really care enough about him to be angry. Irritated is more like it, Akira thinks. He gets another lecture on staying out of trouble because “I’m in the restaurant business, you know.” Akira does his best to placate Sakura-san and escapes up to the attic. He’s going to need his rest if he and Ryuji are going to make any progress tomorrow.
*
[Akira]: I think I made a friend today.
[Jun]: That’s great, honey! What’s their name?
[Akira]: His name is Ryuji. I got lost in the subway and he helped me find the school.
[Akira]: He reminds me of Uncle Eikichi.
[Tatsuya]: Just what we need. Another Michel.
[Jun]: Eikichi is a lovely person and if Akira has made a friend like him, he’s a lucky young man.
[Akira]: I think so, too.
*
It takes Akira and Ryuji an embarrassingly long while to connect the weird app on their phones to the whole school-castle thing. When they finally do, Akira is back in the strange outfit, mask and all, from yesterday and Ryuji is left in just his school uniform.
Morgana, despite his (and Akira is sure Morgana is a “he,” no matter what his name is) feigned indifference, helps Akira and Ryuji break back into the castle. And maybe it’s just Morgana’s phantom thief talk, but sneaking around like this really is exciting.
Not that Dad can ever know, Akira thinks as he strikes down another group of what Morgana calls “Shadows.” If he knew what a rush I get out of this, he’d keel over.
And that’s another thing. The fighting. Akira isn’t usually a confrontational person, assault charge notwithstanding. In elementary school, he was the kid who ran and got teachers, not the one getting into fights. But this place has a strange effect on him. It makes him animalistic in a way that should scare him.
It doesn’t. It makes him feel powerful.
*
Until he falls.
He and Morgana are lucky Kamoshida underestimated Ryuji. If he’d been pinned down like them, they would be dead.
As it is, Akira’s encouragement helps Ryuji awaken to Captain Kidd and they manage to wipe the floor with Kamoshida’s goons.
(Whatever primal thing in the back of Akira’s mind is, it’s pleased by Ryuji’s power. Akira’s just happy Ryuji can defend himself now.)
Ryuji is still worried about the volleyball team members they saw Kamoshida torturing. Sure, they’re not real, but everything in this world is a distortion of the real world, so they both know some kind of abuse is happening. And then there was the fake Takamaki and… ugh. Any teacher who thinks of an underaged student like that is the lowest of the low.
Morgana says they have to steal Kamoshida’s heart.
Akira has a lot to think about.
*
He’s waiting for the train at the Aoyama station, staring at his phone for a lack of anything better to do, when something rugs at the edge of his mind. He’s not used to hearing Arsène talking in his head just yet, so he jumps at the sound (feeling? thought?) of his low voice. Turn around.
What? Why?
Trust me. Turn around.
He’s not sure what could possibly interest Arsène so much, but Arsène is also a semi-physical manifestation of his inner self, so Akira shrugs and does as he’s told.
And freezes.
A few feet away stands a girl he never though he would see again. Sure, her hair is longer now, her face more angular, her body more lithe, but Akira would know her anywhere.
He sees the moment she catches sight of him. Her eyes widen and her mouth falls open in shock. For a few seconds, she is frozen, but then she rockets forward, and Akira barely has time to lift his arms before she slams into his chest. It aches a little to realize he’s more than a head taller than her now.
She’s shaking in his arms. Quietly, almost too quiet for him to hear, she says, “Akira.”
He squeezes her, impossibly gentle. “Shiho.”

Plans
@hope-and-heir  Hey, I’m your secret Odin this year!  I had this idea in my mind for a while, and figured now was a good time to finally get it into text.  I hope ya like it!
There were many times that Hiccup’s quick thinking and out-of-the-box thought process had helped salvage a losing situation, be it quickly teaching Astrid and the rest of the gang how to ride dragons, tricking Alvin into taking the young heir to where Berk’s dragons were banished, and many occasions whilst managing and protecting the Edge.  They were his greatest strength, and the cornerstone of the achievements he had done through his life.
Unfortunately, not all his plans didn’t pan out well.
During an early winter’s morning, Hiccup decided to fly along with Astrid atop her dragon for patrol, as he and Toothless had been covering the twins shift after they decided to go do something else.  There was a light snow when the three of them took off, but Hiccup dismissed it as being just that, and nothing more.
And now they were hiding out in a cave, waiting for a sudden blizzard to pass.
“Okay, so maybe we shouldn’t have gone out today.”  Hiccup stated, staring at the wall of blinding snow that whizzed by outside, grimacing a bit while Astrid tried to start a fire.  Further back in the ice cave was Stormfly, who was resting after a rather rough landing.  Though they were all a bit worse for wear, they were fortunate enough to have not received any serious injuries.  Unfortunately, thanks to being surrounded by ice, they wouldn’t be able to have the dragon use her breath to get them out, lest they cause the cave to collapse from the sudden and extreme heat.
“Gee, you think?”  The blonde gave him an incredulous look before continuing her attempts at creating a spark and creating warmth.  It took a few more strikes, but finally the flint decided to cooperate and set the kindling alight.  Despite it being just a little flame, Astrid couldn’t help but be a touch proud of her work, hands at her hips after she did what she could to make sure the flame would only grow.  “Now come on, we need to stay warm, keep our strength up.”
Hiccup barely registered her words, as he was getting increasingly lost in thought.  Rolling her eyes, Astrid closed the distance between them and gently took his hand, guiding him to the warmth of the fire.  For a moment, there was a faint glint of a smile pulling at the heir’s lips before it vanished, though her touch always had that effect on him.
It was dawn by the time the two of them started to stir, the heavy snowfall of that previous night having died down, but only after covering most of the cave entrance with snow.  The fire had all but died by this point, with only the stray ember still glowing amidst charred wood and coals.  At some point in the middle of the night, Stormfly had taken the young couple under her wing, keeping them insulated while also sharing a bit of her own body heat with them.
Hiccup was the one to wake up first, green eyes cracking open.  Still being half-asleep, he didn’t do much for the first few minutes as his eyes locked into Astrid’s hair, the morning rays striking perfectly with her blonde locks to give them an ethereal glow.  Suffice to say, she was utterly stunning.
While he still entranced by her, she started to wake as well, tired blue eyes locking on his as she gradually managed to get them open and keep them that way.  For a moment, Hiccup’s face turned pale, part of him panicking at the thought of how she’d take him looking at her like this.  For this reason, Astrid barely stifled a giggle, the apples of her cheeks shining brightly as she smiled.  “Hey, you know it’s not weird to look when we’re a couple, right?”
“Y-yeah, I guess that’s true… I’m just still kinda getting used to us being, you know, a couple.”  Color returned to his face, particularly his cheeks which had quickly flushed a bright red.  Astrid just let out a snort before sliding out from her dragon’s wing to stretch, just as Stormfly started to rise as well, which left Hiccup to shiver a little as his attention went back to cave opening.  “I shouldn't have brought us out here...”
This got Astrid’s attention rather quickly, causing her to give him a look.  “Hiccup, you know we have to keep up patrols, and things like this just happen sometimes.”
“I know, but I should have known that the weather would have gotten worse.  At the very least, I should have had us prepared for something like this.  Maybe I’m not cut out for th-”
“Hiccup, stop that.”  Astrid gave him a thud on the arm, making him wince a little and forcing him to listen.  “You keep forgetting how much you’ve managed to do and get us through.  Sure, not every one of your plans go well, but we’d be in so, so much worse if it wasn’t for you.”  She brought her hand to her cheek, feeling only the slightest of stubble from being stuck in this cave.  “Besides, I can think of worse things than being stuck here with only you for a little while.”  With that, she leaned in and gave him a kiss, the both of them feeling light sparks on their lips before Stormfly gave an annoyed squawk.  “Don’t worry girl, not forgetting about you either.”  She said with a sigh, rolling her eyes as a small smile formed on her lips.
“I… guess that’s all true.”  Hiccup joined in, his face lightening up a little as he recalled something.  “Hey, do you remember when we went dragon-boarding together, not too long after we started the Dragon Academy?”
“You mean when we got stuck like we are now, and had to huddle for warmth?”  She smirked, seeming to get the idea.
“Well, why don’t we just make the most of this?  Might be a while until the snow melts enough for us to get out without making the cave collapse.”  He wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close as he found a spot that wasn’t too uncomfortable to just lay down and relax.
“Fine by me.  We don’t get enough time alone together back at the Edge anyway.”  She snuggled in as he set Inferno aflame and jammed the hilt into the snow, providing an additional bit of heat for the two of them.  Time seemed to slip on by as they enjoyed each other’s company, and it wouldn’t long before they’d be able to break out.  In the meantime, Hiccup was happy that his plan didn’t work out, if only just this once.

Homecoming | Endgame Part 5
It still takes a while, and doubtless the ride is a slightly awkward one for some parties, perhaps there’s even more some people want to say - but Trik seems finished, ensconced in the little group of those closest to him. And it’s clear that if nothing else, the majority believe or at least support him. When it comes to it, at the end, he does have a point… it’s over now. They survived, they’re going home. Whether you believe him or not, what’s done is done. Any words that might have changed things were already spoken, or too late now. Hanesuke has remained quiet this entire time. He stares off at the city as it goes up in flames, smoke curls in a thick column through the water off the coast, which is weird isn’t it? The column is lazily drifting up, no urgency to it, no real reason to go up other than it’s smoke, and that’s what smoke does. The dreams of his friends and himself sink beneath the waves and that’s okay? After Everything that happened he didn’t really want the gardens to survive. Ayame was gone, Yui was gone, his work was gone. Hanesuke should have been sadder than he was, if anything he’s melancholic over everything. He feels a longing, perhaps a wish that everything had worked out. Still, the real question was where was there to go from here. Finally the submarine begins to rise through the waters, higher and higher as they grow shallower until it arrives at a dock. Only when the destroyed city is out of sight and the trip is over does he look away from the porthole he’s seated next to. He looks over his shoulder at the kids that disembarked from the submarine, Alive. The doors open again and despite any reservations any of you had about the trip, you’re here. You’ve arrived safely on shore, and as soon as you’ve all left the sub you find there’s a crowd waiting - emergency response teams and authorities, potentially family as well. In a rush to seize this freedom you all disembark - and as soon as the last of the class has stepped out the submarine closes up again suddenly and sinks back into the water. There’s a lot of shouting about this from the authorities, but ultimately the sub won’t be caught, although traces of wreckage of it will later be recovered along the coast. EMTs hurry to examine you all, trying to insist on bringing anyone with injuries or showing signs of shock into ambulances for treatment. Trik refuses to be separated from his friends though, and stays close to the group. Press teams have arrived and the authorities are distracted by keeping them back - it seems like you’ll all have a brief reprieve before the questions start. At some point when the initial excitement has calmed, perhaps half an hour or so later, along the edges of the perimeter a black Rolls-Royce pulls up, and Trik perks up immediately upon seeing it. The driver steps out and opens the back door, and out of it steps Trik Sparks. For a moment there’s a surreal jolt to the world, until the startling similarity is mitigated by taking in the obvious differences that show this isn’t a copy of Trik. The height and facial features and hair are all the same, strikingly identical, except that this person has two eyes, bright and sharp and the same pale electric yellow as Trik’s. In addition to this, she’s wearing an elegantly tailored suit that clings to her subtle curves, and her make-up is more understated. There’s only a few seconds to take this in before Trik is breaking away - racing across the dividing distance and weaving past the police to throw himself into his sister’s arms, the two of them laughing and clinging to each other as they spin around and start babbling in rapid Irish. Amidst this exuberant joy Trik suddenly turns and reaches out towards the rest of you, his one-eyed gaze darting between Karl and Yasu and Jet in particular, his extended hand an offer. An even more clear one as he waves it lightly towards himself, beckoning them to come over, to follow. A few of the authorities attempt to speak up, but Princess responds to them with a firm tone and a strict glance, bringing up words like Attorneys and Legal Department and Lawsuit that make them back off quickly. As for the rest of you… eventually you’re all brought to a hospital, families and concerned loved ones either traveling with you or meeting you there. The coming days will be a jarring return to life and reality, with much to contend with, but at least it won’t be something faced alone. There’s still a bit more. It turns out that clips of footage had been released periodically during the game to the public - fortunately not enough to expose anything personal you’d rather be kept hidden, but enough that the world has some idea of what went on down there and what you’ve all been through. In some ways this is a relief - it means you don’t have to explain as much to the authorities as you might have otherwise, there aren’t as many questions to answer, and the matter of the various deaths and murders is already considered solved. On the other hand, evidence of what Nata’s father was guilty of was among the footage and information released, which may be something of a mixed blessing for her. Further evidence in the form of correspondence, financial trails, and experimental plans are found to implicate Tamatsuki Corp. and AlterMech - Sen’s and Komugi’s respective family companies. The ultimate conclusion is that the blame for the entire Verdant Gardens Tragedy, as the media calls it, will be placed squarely on their shoulders. Both companies very quickly go under. Iron Grip Industries, led by its new young CEO, the brilliant Saoirse Ainbheartach, known as ‘Seerie’ to her friends and ‘Princess’ to her twin brother, takes an active role in handling the economic fallout. IGI also assists generously in the conservation efforts to evaluate and rectify any environmental damage caused by Verdant Gardens’ collapse - which turns out to be surprisingly minimal, considering the city’s location was deliberately chosen to have the least impact and the destruction was largely contained by the dome until the last minute. Junji Nakaura is hired as the Lead Consulting Conservationist for the clean-up and containment. Slowly but surely, over time, things begin to return to some state of normalcy…

Strawberry/Grima Soulmate AU
Okay so! I actually have quite a bit of this developed (well, you know that) so! In this AU Strawberry and Grims have marks that expand when they touch for the first time. In Askr, it’s pretty common for people to have very different soulmate... things. Like, lots of people have marks, counters, etc, and you get one when you show up in Askr. If your soulmate isn’t already in Askr, it’s, for all intents and purposes, a dead soulmate  bond until they show up.
Strawberry never noticed the mark of grima on the back of their neck, until they were asking Sharena to help trim their hair a bit, and the other saw it. With the help of a couple mirrors, Strawberry saw that, sure enough, there was the mark of grima on the back of their neck!
But, like the dumbass oblivious idiot they are, Strawberry denied that it could be grima they had a bond with, because like, there’s tons of possibilities that could have stemmed from that, right? Like, robin has that mark, so there’s totally tons of different reasons they could have it.
Besides, they reason, they don’t feel anything from the mark, and they don’t know if they ever will, so no use getting caught up in it when its just a weird tattoo, for all intents and purposes until they day they (possibly) find their soulmate. They’ve lived this long without getting too hung up on anyone else anyhow, no use starting now
Cut forward to a few months later, when the Grima Banner comes along. Strawberry, having completely forgotten about the mark by now, is super excited because he looks so cool and she always thought Grima was super cool and interesting anyway (despite not knowing much) and, sure enough, within the first pull they end up getting m!Grima. (Which, of course, is exactly what happened to me)
Strawberry, super duper excited and pumped because this is the first time one of the event banners they wanted a unit from actually gave them that unit and without thinking, they end up hugging Grima, super duper pumped, and pull back, cheering and smiling super duper wide.
They officially welcome grima to Askr, before being called away. They tell Grima that they’ll talk to him later, and get another hero to show him to an empty room that’ll be his, while his dragon body chills out outside of the castle (because he can’t attack it)
Anna, the fearless and money grabbing woman she is, ends up being the first to actually explain anything to Grima (but he refuses to listen) and then later grabs strawberry, who explains everything in detail, before going and taking him to the training tower, and making him their champion.
(Essentially their main unit, and their bodyguard/the one they send into battle on their behalf)
So, the two get to know each other for a little bit, before it’s time for bed. Strawberry realizes they didn’t tell grima about the soulmate thing only after they’re almost to their room, and ends up letting Anna know (since all heroes have to be told about soulmate stuff, just in case) so that she can go tell him.
The next morning, Strawberry ends up late to breakfast (they stayed up super late) and Sharena walks in to check on them, and sees Strawberry’s back as their changing. The mark of grima on their neck now has black scales around it in a wide strip that follows Strawberry’s spine (inside the shoulder blades), from the base of their skull, down to the base of their spine. There’s also purple flames here and there, that seem to swirl and move a bit if you look at them for long enough.
Sharena gasps, and makes Strawberry look at the markings they hadn’t seen before in the mirror, and Strawberry like, just sits on the floor and feels like crying, and is tearing up. Sharena tries to console them, until they say “how will i know who it is now? i don’t even know when it changed!”
honestly it’s
just infuriating at some point yknow
poor Sharena
Sharena just pats Strawberry on the shoulder, and convinces them to get up and get breakfast, before leaving the room so they can get fully dressed.
Later, in the library, Grima, who is supposed to follow Strawberry around (and does, because he has nothing else better to do and he wants to avoid the falchion users as much as possible) ends up getting sick of Strawberry looking miserable, and tells them to spit it out (whatevers bothering them). Strawberry ends up talking about how they “found their soulmate at some point” but has no idea who it is, because they didn’t look at it.
Grima goes silent, and Alfonse and Sharena, who are watching from behind some bookcases, while Anna is waiting with bated breath (because she has sixteen different bets riding on this). He then says that he found his soulmate at some point since his arrival, but also doens’t know who it is. (And then hastily adds that he doesn’t care, either)
There’s a pause, and then Strawberry pats his hand. “I’m sorry, I hope you find out however it is, whether you choose to pursue that person or not!” and he ends up giving some sort of sound that’s the equivalent of “you too”
Anna cheers silently, Sharena, squats close to the ground, covering her face, and Alfonse looks dead inside
Grima and Strawberry end up spending more time together, not realizing they’re soulmates because they haven’t seen the matching marks, and because they’re both denying/confused by the tug of the soulmarks that has them trying to come together. Strawberry doesn’t understand the feeling, but just assumes it’s because they’re happy to have grima around and are super confused, while Grima isn’t exactly sure what emotions and physical feelings mean in this body just yet.
They grow closer, and one night, while Strawberry decides to make a late night trip to the library without any supervision (no matter how many times she’s warned about assassins, they never take it seriously because the assassins have never actually made it close to them), they’re cornered.
They end up getting cut on the cheek from the dagger they happened to dodge on chance, but end up falling from the force of it. Scared, and confused, they try looking for a way out, but are cornered.
Until a certain dragon shows up, sees the blood and tears on strawberry’s cheek, and absolutely loses it on the assassin. He ends  up sticking his entire hand through the dude’s chest, before picking Strawberry up, and marching them to the closest healer he can find, and then demands they “fix them”
Grima does not let anyone but that healer (who is Sakura) close to Strawberry, even as Alfonse comes in to check on them and figure out what had happened.
After that, he ends up being super pissed at Strawberry for leaving their room without saying anything - but is also slightly unwilling to admit he cares about them - and then tells them that, “since you’re so weak, I’m going to have to watch you more closely.”
Which, of course, results in Grima following Strawberry around like 24/7, even going so far as to sleep outside/against strawberry’s door if they’re being stubborn about letting him be their bodyguard. (Because before they did that just to make him feel like they had an actual job, since they didn’t take the position seriously at all. Now, it’s like an insult to the already sore wound they’re licking)
Eventually, Strawbs realizes how stubborn they’re being and apologizes to Grima for being so rude and stubborn. They talk about how they just felt helpless (and how much they hate it) and it was like adding insult to injury in their mind, when really they were grateful he was even willing to help protect them.
It’s a pretty cute bonding moment, and Strawberry (who never shows their face to anyone) ends up pulling back their hood and says that they trust him, and that they’re sorry for being such a dick.
Grima has literally never been so deep in feelings in his life, because after that he can’t stop seeing their face in the back of his mind, and there’s also quite a bit of smugness there because he’s the only one.
It’s not long after that, that Strawberry ends up starting to realize they’ve caught feelings, but they also don’t want to betray the friendship they have with Grima (feeling it will also betray his trust) by developing those feelings, so they don’t act on them
Until one day, when Strawberry realizes the feelings aren’t going away no matter how hard they smash them into a little box in the corner of their mind (while trying desperately to shred it or burn it so they stop feeling like this) they end up having to talk to Grima
They’re super upset because of it, which turns into a misunderstanding on Grima’s part (very briefly) because he automatically assumes that they’re not wanting to be with him because he’s a villain and killed people etc etc, until they say that they didn’t want to lose his friendship and betray his trust, and how they knew he wouldn’t return the feelings, etc
And then they pull back their hood to show him the “stupid dumb mark” on the back of their neck, and say that it’s probably because of it even though it’s probably not his and-
look, at this point he’s already kissing strawberry, with like, a SUPER firm grip on them
he has to make it painstakingly clear that “no, i like you dumbass, and also we have the same mark so we’re clearly soulmates” because Strawberry cannot wrap their head around the fact that Grima actually likes them and they’re actually soulmates.
after that, they end up getting together, and finally have Grima sleeping in Strawberry’s room (he was already doing that, but this time it’s ~romantic~)
It’s a couple months after this that Strawberry summons two morgans with their shade of brown hair, pointed ears, and they’re calling her mom.
The two (Morgan and Morgana - Grima named them, they explain gently at Strawberry’s pained expression, because she was asleep and Grima was charged with naming the twins) have lost good chunks of their memory, mostly revolving around where they came from, but they do have select memories that mainly revolve around times with each parent (Also, they’re manaketes because i like the idea and i said it’s a thing)
Strawberry takes to the kids immediately while Grima takes some time to warm up to them. Morgan loves both his parents equally, but he definitely loves his mom best, because she makes him sweets and bakes with him and encourages him to have interests he normally wouldn’t take part in, because they’re childish (fuck the police! Strawberry says, while shoving childrens books back into morgans arms despite the fact he can read thick tomes in a day - do what makes you happy, as long as you aren’t hurting other people!)
Morgan is also a super sweetheart who puts on a pretty tough act considering he’s cried over accidentally killing a caterpillar before (which is also hilarious, because he’s fought in so many battles without blinking an eye at felling an enemy). He also uses tomes, even though his mom has no clue how to do the magic thing, because he’s weak and doesn’t like hurting other people, and also he doesn’t like transforming
Morgana, however, the little hellion, takes after her mother and father in the worst, but best ways. She loves both parents, but she tends to bounce back and forth with who she likes best, depending on who’s encouraging her to do whatever she wants (even when it’s malicious). She pulls pranks, and makes pitfalls more often, and she wields a levin sword because it’s “fucking cool” and “i’m going to do what i want, and i want a sword that shoots lightning”. She also loves turning into a dragon, much more than her brother, and she unapologetically does whatever the fuck she wants because honestly? who’s gonna stop her?
The answer is, nine times out of ten, Strawberry, who is consistently the only one to be able to talk her out of super bad ideas, and the other times is the one encouraging her
I don’t have uch planned after that, except for shenanigans involving the twins, the dragon kids (the kanas, y!tiki, nowi (even if she is’nt technically a kid), myrrh, etc) who Strawberry adopted and Grima got attached to, and this next fun part i like to call “Sorry I’m fucking your evil counterpart, think we can still be friends?”
It’s where Strawbs and Grima, after the end of everything in Askr, decide to go back to a different version of Ylisse than wherever Grima was from, and lay low and just live peacefully with the twins. Strawberry also remembers Tiki is older, so (as she hopefully puts it) “Maybe we might run into our tiki again! It’s not super likely, but i like to think about that”
Strawberry was never happy in their world, and Grima wasn’t in his, so they figure a compromise of going to a different Ylisse is possible!
When they get there, their intent is definitely to lay low, but the twins have disappeared, and Strawberry really  wants to see if this tiki is their tiki..... so Strawberry, newly made dragon-adjacent, decides that while she searches for the kids, Grima should hold down the fort at home in case they come back to the cave/find their way there.
Grima is not pleased, but agrees that he probably should lay low, considering they don’t know where they’re at in the timeline, and also don’t know what’s happened in this one either.
Strawberry, after finding Tiki (and it’s the right one!), ends up getting a big hug and a “mom!!” before Tiki corrects herself (cause oops) but Strawberry is already like “NAH I LOVE YOU YOU’RE MY KID” and becomes super protective of her.
Which, of course, ends with Strawberry accidentally joining the shepherds with Tiki because fuck, her nowi is here too (and shhh Nowi don’t tell them that Strawberry is fucking grima)
It goes... about as well as you’d think
Strawberry does find the morgans, to be fair, but it’s along with this robin’s morgan (who is. very confused) and right as there would be some explaining happening, like, yknow, “why do your kids look like mine but weird”
but then more risen show up, and one of them has a Wyrmslayer. Which, on its own, sucks pretty hard when you’re hit by it, but Strawberry learns Pretty Quickly that they are also affected by it now in the same manner as other dragons (which is to say, badly)
It’s around this time that Grima shows up (Strawb’s grima) and everyone’s like “oh okay, this day just went from bad to worse) until he goes “GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE” and let me tell you. nothing is weirder than an alternate and male version of your tactician on the back of an evil dragon, who shows up surrounded in angry purple flames, picking up this peppy, white-cloaked kind of manakete and snarling at anyone who gets near except for Tiki, Nowi, and the Twins, and is saying “get away from my wife”
Robin and chrom just kinda
“what”
after the battle, some explaining is done, but man. it’s wack
