Hi! Let me start off by saying that I absolutely adore your ROTP series. This is also one of the very few Rottmnt/2012 crossovers in existance that does justice to both verses and doesn't put a biases on any. I love this comic.

Now that aside, I need to get something off my chest. I wouldn't have gone on Anon but experience has taught me that opposing opinions will make the followers of a blog insult and harass you so I tend to err on the side of caution. You see, I Love Love Love TMNT. And I love 2012 series, it's something I relate to so much and grew up with. It's my most favorite version of TMNT.

But the thing is, ever since the Rise movie got released, I've been seeing nothing but slander against the 2012 series and it breaks my heart every time I come across it. It has escalated to an unfair point that I've seen even 2012 fans who love it just as much begin hating aspects of it. I mean, don't get me wrong, it does have its flaws but it's unfair how highlighted those select few flaws are to the point of extremely biased comparisons and blame games and general 2012 slander which half the time doesn't even comply with canon. Moreover, literally every TMNT has its flaws just the same.

And recently, I've been seeing an increase in posts on your blog that have 2012 slander undercurrents or simply blatant frustrations with it. I love the comic but keep seeing this hatred still is just... it hurts ya know. Like really actually hurts.

So if possible, can you plz tag such posts with something I can filter out? (And let us know what that tag will be?) You don't have to but I really really love your art and comics, it's just the 2012 slander again that hurts me and I don't want to see it anymore. I've been seeing it everywhere.

Again, plz don't take this the wrong way, it's just something that's been hurting me and I had to get it off my chest. And find a solution to it that doesn't involve blocking or unfollowing because I genuinely do love this fancomic

I sorry my posts came off as 2012 slander, I really never meant it like that. I will admit I do critique media pretty aggressively, but I never mean it in a hateful way. TMNT 2012 is one of my absolute favorite shows and I love everything about! It’s the weird quirky stuff about it that while yes, I will criticize, I still love. It wouldn’t be the same without it. Just like the weather, I will complain about it, but I don’t want it to actually change.

I will try to be more conscious of how my posts are perceived, I really never wanted there to be a bias on my blog. I love all of TMNT for all it presents, and I don’t want to ever be slanderous!

Thank you again for your kind nudge! I’m very thankful to have people like you who’ll tell me if I’m making a mistake! I truly do love TMNT 2012. I can’t fix what I’ve said, but now that I know, I can be sure to be more careful to not sound biased going forward.

I know this won’t fix the things I’ve said, but I’ll say 3 of my top favorite things about 2012:

I love the way they depicted characters! They do an amazing job using indirect characterization that makes the characters feel so real. The characters don’t have to tell you things about themselves, you learn about them from the way the interact with each other, the way they solve problems, the things they like and dislike, and even what they’re doing in the background! It really feels like you’re there getting to know these fun people and go on adventures with them! Truly amazing!

I love the way the turtles look! Seriously I think they look so cool, and at the same time cute. They’re visual designs inspired me so much in my art and I will watch hours on end of them because they’re just so freaking cool!

I love the way their stories are told! The episodes are so well paced that it never feels boring to watch an episode! Believe it or not, I have never once wondered how many minutes are left on an episode. It’s so good at sucking you in and addicting you, that while I was watching it for the first time, I was straight up binging it and would be forced to put it down by my parents. Several times I would stop to eat something and have that weird “wait, who am I? What is my life?” Thing you get from a really good story. The stories and arc pacing are so good that Indie TMNT, my original series is using massive inspiration from 2012.

Once again, I am truly sorry for coming off as slanderous. Thank you for being so brave and telling me what many people were probably thinking. I want to do better. Thank you! :]

SARGE

-old man

-would eat blues as a way to establish dominance

-might also do that with his own team for similar reasons

-rants to prey about “the good ole days where milk was a nickel” and WAR

-tries to get all spooky scary when pred but just doesn’t land it

-unlikely/unwilling prey. makes him feel like less of a leader

SIMMONS

(i actually have some good headcanons for this one with evidence to back it up)

-a CHRONIC insomniac

-skinny queen, amazing prey

-due to his cyborgness, he has robot organs, meaning robo stomach (air conditioning yesss)

-also has oil saliva (which is a little gross but hey)

-noms grif most often out of the reds

-due to his (headcanonical) insomnia, he often can’t get to sleep easily, but finds that grif nomming him calms him down and helps him sleep better

-checks up on prey like every 10 minutes bc he’s just a nervous little guy :3

-speaking of grif…

GRIF

-chronic eepy

-mmmm chubby pred my beloved oooo yesss <333

-tends to nom Simmons either bc a) he can’t sleep or b) idk man bros hungry

-sometimes engages in accidental vore bc, once again, chronic eepy

-rubs tum to comfort/calm prey down, especially if unwilling

-weight in his stomach knocks this man out in like 2 seconds

-when prey, also falls asleep within 2 seconds. like he could get nommed for protection purposes after running away from some guy trying to kill him and just loses all the adrenaline immediately.

-extreme cuddling fan <3

-chubby pred = soft and warm tum.

DONUT

-amazeballz :O

-gets flustered pretty easily, this goes for being pred or prey

-ONLY and i mean ONLY noms when ppl ask. doesn’t nom unwilling prey for a few reasons

-1) prey kick which he is REALLY sensitive to and 2) feels really ashamed when prey gets really scared and doesn’t know they’re safe

-enjoys tum rubs from prey. calms him down.

-similar to Simmons, checks on prey a bit too often

-sees vore as a really intimate thing so he gets really fluster when nommed and his words get all shaky and auwuquwuq

-doesn’t mind prey that’s unwilling and puts up a fight

-he’s had to deal with kick before if yk what i mean 😏

-he’s a lover, not a fighter, and doesn’t enjoy the idea of holding prey in his tum for periods of time that they’re uncomfortable with

-occasionally gets bit cocky when nomming prey, to prey’s annoyance

-he’s a bit of a jerk but overall harmless

-as prey, firmly believes the superior answer is hands first like a little fucking bitch

-if unwillingly nommed, he fights a bit but gets a bit tired after like 5 seconds

-just a little guy

CHURCH

-the most tsundere middle aged man in the entire world

-usually unwilling prey. that man is NOT going down without a fight

-denies any allegations of enjoying being nommed (he’s a LIAR! LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!)

-noms prey for two reasons mostly 1) prey won’t shut up 2) protective purposes

-epsilon church? now that’s a whole other story i’m not going to get into here

-also denies nomming prey for any purpose other than those two reasons (once again, FUCKING LIAR!!!)

CABOOSE

-he’s such a silly little goobernut i have so many hc for him. holy moly

-pretty much everyone on the blue team is half his height, so nomming them is pretty easy

-rants to unwilling prey about things they like in an attempt to calm them down

-tbh he does a lot of things for unwilling prey in an attempt to calm them down

"Good" Acting

i have a theory that a lot of people say acting is "good" when they're emotionally moved by it, and a lot of cishet white people have a lifelong habit of not listening or empathising when minoritised people speak, so minority actors get called "bad" even when they display some pretty fucking amazing technical skill

I miss long seasons.

I miss seasons that had 20 episodes and half of them could be cut and nothing would be lost to the story.

I miss the episodes where nothing fucking happens but you get to see the main cast goofing around with one another. You get to see their interactions, their relationships develop, their day-to-day lives and how they all fit together in them.

You get the Christmas/halloween/valentine's special -is it needed? certainly not. but is it good? is it entertaining? does it give the show and characters life? do we, the viewers, enjoy it? YES!

give me long stories!! give me little quarrelling spats between characters that can be resolved in one episode with no need to have an impact on the greater story! make these stories real!

let me enjoy them before they end!!!

I absolutely love Hazbin Hotel and the little world that's been created, but I can't help but feel disappointed we're only getting two seasons of 8 episodes.

back in the early 2000's 16 episodes would have been ONE season, never mind the entire thing.

show my angel dust and husk and nifty and sir penthouse living their daily lives in the hotel! show me Charlie brainstorming ways to redeem sinners! give me Charlie forcing the hotel staff to do cringe-y exercises! give me an entire episode of Vox trying to follow alastor through security cameras! Give me husks typical day! Give me a special through the eyes of nifty on a mission to irradiate the hotel of bugs! Give me sir penthouse and the egg boys up to no good!

give me something other than the bare necessities to make the story flow

6 months have nearly gone by in the hotel, and it feels like 1 month.
