WINDBREAKER VIRGINS YOU SAY 👀👀👀
— ⋆。˚。⋆ 。˚ 𓆩𖥔𓆪 ˚。⋆。˚。⋆ —
speaking : yep, you heard right 🙂‍↕️ every show/manga i read is gonna get hit with my virgin ray. "i love virgins, anon ! I LOVE VIRGIIINS !"
𓆩𖥔𓆪 — disclaimer ! these are just my opinions ! if you disagree, cool. let's keep it cute. tbh, they all could be virgins, but they’re the most pressing in my eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nirei Akihiko
Don't get me wrong, I like Nirei alot ! I think he's super cute and he's so sweet it makes my teeth hurt. But, until his confidence goes up, ain't nothing going down. i do think he has a separate notebook with sex tips that's he gathered from various sources. From friends he worked up the courage to ask, to Cosmo articles, to the pornos he watches on lonely nights. When he finally get brave enough to try though, best believe he'll be prepared for any possible scenario.
Sugishita Kyotaro
Again, I feel like perhaps because he's tall, quiet and handsome, y'all think he'd be laying pipe. I mean, the quiet ones are usually the nastiest in bed, right? extremely loud incorrect buzzer. It'd be a miracle to actually get a sentence out of him. And it'd be another miracle to convince him to come shake the sheets instead of playing Umemiya's shadow. The plants he takes care of have a better chance getting wet by him than you ever will.
Tsugeura Taiga
Straight up, he just scares away any possible suitors. Plus, he's a little slow on the uptake. Between being loud and a bit off putting, and his his inability to catch social cues, he is unfortunately stuck in perpetual virgindom. That's it, that's all.
Sakura Haruka
Now, put the torches and pitchforks down before y'all drag me to the town square. How do we as a collective think Sakura would react if he saw you naked? Stand there reveling in the majesty that is you, dick so hard he might pass out? No. He'd turn red and start yelling before you even get your shoes off. Get him more comfortable with being romantic/sexual, and i’m sure the yelling, stomping, flailing and cherry red blush will die down…in a couple years. Best of luck !
Saku Mizuki
Wannabe General Mizuki. The minute I saw him, I knew he was getting NO pussy. And that makes me sad for him, it truly does. He's too stiff. If, for some odd reason on your part, you decided to lay the moves on him, he'd probably lecture you on how it's inappropriate to shamelessly flirt with people. He'd kill the mood so bad. Plus that one dude called him ugly and he turned around..oof
Takiishi Chika
Take this one with a grain of salt, but from what I've gathered...he just would not be interested. I'm sure Endo has tried bringing it to his attention before. And I'm also sure he got the fire knocked out his ass as soon as it left his mouth. Now, if does decide to get his dick wet, I hope you're fully resigned to letting him do whatever he wants and possibly leaving unsatisfied. Utter anything that sounds like you're telling him what to do? Let's leave getting beat up to Endo, mkay?
Shuhei Suzuri
I think he finds fulfillment and joy in his hobbies and that's all he needs. Being able to cook for people and enjoy his games gives him the satisfaction he was missing when he was in extreme poverty. I'm sure he wouldn't really mind losing his virginity either way, but it's definitely not on the forefront of his mind. A consistently full belly and a couple video games is good enough for now.
Choji Tomiyama
He thinks everything is a game and plays entirely too much to just be fucking for real. And I think he's fine with that ! He's carefree and he's content knocking people's heads together. I do think you could probably get him to give losing his virginity a true shot if you compare him to Umemiya or make it a competition, though. But who's gonna do all that to nut? (I really just added him to make one specific person mad. Let me know if it worked <3)
Honorable Mention : Togame Jo & Umemiya Hajime
Just cuz I want to be the one to take their virginity. I have no real reason LMAOOO.

This may be a hot take but I REALLY do not care for the Papyrus is The Knight theory. Sure, all the fan designs for it are badass as hell and it's a cool concept, but from what we've seen of the game at this point (which mind you, isn't much, so my opinion could change later on), it'd be super unsatisfying from a narrative standpoint for the roaring knight to just be Some Guy that despite being a returning character, has no looming presence in the game, none of the main cast met him, and literally nobody from hometown except for sans has mentioned once.

ok so like i fully believe that after cove had sex w the mc the first time he's always needy, like, in the patreon moment it's implied you two have so much sex you can barely keep up with buying condoms . so imagine cove, that horny and needy guy with the highest libido imaginable bc you're so perfect and he wants to have you all the time, with a mc with a low libido . poor guy, you'd have to at least guide him on how to jerk off bc he can't cum unless it's with your help, no matter how ....
AHHH THAT IS SUCH A THOUGHT. this. this is whats in my brain 25/8. i love you anon tysm for the ask
tags : NSFW, gn reader, reader w a low libido, guided masturbation, phone sex, bit of edging, overstimulation
synopsis : cove's libido is much higher than yours, and he's become so obsessed with having sex with you, he's practically dependent on you for his orgasm. so you instruct cove how to get himself off.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he's always so eager to have sex with you, he really, really can't have enough of you...
but even if it wasn't for your low libido, you're sometimes tired and super sensitive after fucking like rabbits the day before
he would never force you! and he would feel bad if you tried to initiate sex even though you weren't in the mood for it. but even though he doesn't say anything, and tries to deal with his painfully hard dick by himself, sometimes it just isn't enough..
he's gotten so obsessed with you finishing him off that sometimes when he gets himself off it's so unsatisfying, and even worse, sometimes he can't even get off at all
poor thing is trying fruitlessly to get off, his hand and dick sloppy with pre and lube, making the dirtiest noises from how fast he's stroking his cock.
even though he's been tugging at his cock for what feels like hours, he just can't cum. his thighs shaking and his cock is so flushed.. the pressure is there he just.. can't...
you must have impeccable timing, because right then you call him.
he doesn't even know what comes over him, but he answers, his voice all breathy when he answers the phone..
he tries to act normal, but you can almost immediately tell somethings wrong, and even though cove really tried to be quiet- you can still hear the sound of something slick making wet sounds...
it's not hard for him to crack, because now he's all pitiful sounding on the phone, whining about how he can't cum and it hurts, he needs to cum so bad and he thought that listening to you talk might help...
excites him more when you call him dirty. hell, you can even tell him he's acting like a whore, he's so desperate at this point that even if you read a cookbook to him he'd probably cum
make him tell you what he's doing, tell you how hard he is and how he's so horny that he couldn't even focus at work, that he almost dropped a whole stack of merchandise on a customer because he's in a daze, day dreaming about you.
day dreaming about how pretty you looked when he gave you head, subconsciously reaching up to discreetly tug his hair the way you did the other night...
"jesus christ, cove. we haven't fucked in barely 24 hours and you're still cock / pussy drunk?" you curse, a bit spun by how ruined your boyfriend is
he gasps, his hand brushing over his cock head.. "i'm sorry. ah- i'm sorry..."
you smack your lips, able to hear cove's unrestrained stroking. "stop stroking your cock. i'm tryna talk to you and you're still jerking your pathetic cock."
cove whines, his fist tightly wrapped around the base of his cock but he doesn't move his wrist, trying not to thrust up into his hand for more friction.
even his body is begging for more, desperate for more.
his panting into the phone, clutching the device like it'd kill him to loosen up, let alone let go.
unbeknownst to your brainless boyfriend, you're on the other end still going about your day, stretched out on your beach towel. even though you had called wanting to invite him to join you at the beach, you have to admit, this is more fun than building sandcastles...
you fix your sunglasses, looking left and right just to make sure there's no one around.
"y/n..." cove mewls, sounding so airy and whiny, so desperate.
"start stroking your cock for me." you instruct, quickly elaborating before cove gets ahead of himself. "slowly."
he lets out a mix of a whine and a huff, forcing himself to slowly drag his hand up and down his length. "o-okay..." he chokes, shaking when his fingers brush over his sensitive head.
Tumblr media
you absentmindedly rub lotion over your arms, pinning your phone between your ear and shoulder. the sun is extra hot today, you don't want to burn or worse.
you can hear cove's strangled moans and gasps, muffled words in between.
"mhmm.." you contemplate, there's so many things you could make him do, but you'll definitely have more opportunities..
"stroke the tip for me."
cove pants, his body shaking, his hips torn between pulling away from the overstimulation and bucking up into the sensation.
he swallows, his chest raising and falling.
"tighten your grip. just the way i do."
cove gasps and chokes, his hand fluttering around his tip, and even though he's so sensitive that his cock is basically begging for a break, he bucks up into his hand.
"are you fucking your hand? did i tell you to do that?"
cove's stomach dips in arousal, his eyes fluttering shut from your stern tone. "n-no. no, you did- aah! didn't!"
"you're probably such a pitiful sight.. you've been trying to get off all day, and you can't even do that without my help." you coo.
"touch your nipples for me, and stop stroking your cock, i don't want you to cum yet."
cove whines, begrudgingly pulling away from his cock, torn between disobeying and obeying but he does listen.
he tugs on his nipples, twisting the buds between his fingers.
the lube and pre from his cock is making his nipple shiny from the mess.
cove arches into his hands, his heavy cock hanging over his stomach, lube and pre dripping onto his tummy, his cock twitching and pre pearling at his tip.
"good boy." you purr over the line, "you sound so pretty... go ahead and touch your cock again, i wanna hear you cum."
cove's hand falls to his cock, his breath hitching.
"stroke it just the way i do." you instruct, cove's low moan and curse a sign if him following your instructions. "that's it... tighten your grip, stroke nice and fast for me."
cove tries to mimick your movements, closing his eyes, trying to imagine your hand around his dick instead.
his hand gropes his pec, fondling his "tits" the same way you would, squeezing and squishing the muscle, his fingers pinching his nipples and his thumb runs over his flushed mushroom head.
"i'm- y/n i'm gonna-" cove gasps, arching his back, the bed creaking from all his squirming.
"that's it, keep it up. you're doing so good for me cove." you praise, licking your lips, imagining your boyfriend all flushed and sweaty, on the edge of cumming...
"go ahead and cum for me."
cove growls, ropes of cum spurting across his stomach and making a sloppy mess of his hand.
you let him work through his high, hearing his labored breath and whimpers through the phone.
"fuck..." cove curses softly, thoroughly spent from his orgasm.
"cove?" you call over the phone.
he licks his lips, wiping his hand over his face. "yeah?"
"open the door for me, will you?"
i have a very vivid image of our sunshine boy in my head..... and he's a mess. and i Want him..

I'm also a toxic yaoi lover but I need my toxic unhinged obsession to go both ways I always end up rooting for the unhinged dude if it's just one because he's out here pouring his heart out while the other person doesn't care as much like in real life sure the normal dude should run far away and not give a fuck but in fiction if he's not reciprocating the feelings then nah. I hope revenged love is the former rather thant the latter. If the ship doesn't have 2 people matching each other's freak and being as insane about each other then what's the point. Idk I guess i just don't enjoy seeing someone "brought" down by love unless that person loves them as much. My stubborn for example sorn is a constipated weirdo who needs to use his words but he's shown in so many ways he adores Jun taken care of him protected him so so many times in so many different ways etc but jun? I don't believe for a second he has as strong feelings for him not even close lust? Sure like? Sure but anything beyond that I don't see at all because I can point to dozens of sorns actions where he's doing something for Jun's wellbeing even in the way they have sex the one who is doing all the kissing and focused on the other person's pleasure is sorn. Someone even has a list for every episode of things sorn does every episode that show just how much he loves jun and it's long as hell but the opposite barely exists. And that instantly kills a romance for me idc who is unhinged or who is a psycho it's not real but I care if one person is shown to be way more in love (it's what killed last twilight and jack and jocker for me ) that got really long I'm so sorry dhhsjsjd anyways love your blog ❤️
hiiiii anon!!!!!!!
see i dropped my stubborn after ep 6? i think? bc the story for me just .... wasnt going ANYWHERE. and i just started feeling like, amongst all the other several shows i was watching, it just wasn't matching up pacing wise .... so i just ended up dropping it.
i get what you mean though. like. at a certain point in the story, the other person HAS to start giving SOMETHING. otherwise then it just feels like .... idk ... a rush job in the end? and that leaves me huuuugely unsatisfied.
the best example i'll give is taikan yohou. in it, there was a certain level of yoh pushing back towards segasaki, yes, but, even from the VERY first episode, you could SEE that yoh was JUST as madly obsessed and infatuated by segasaki. so, honestly? i reaaaally didn't mind yoh's pushing back and hesitation and initial "not giving in so easily" (it wasn't playing hard to get, he genuinely didn't want to give in so easily).
and there's soooo many other shows like. the bangkok boy? sungmin CLEARLY is struggling, and doesn't want to give in to sun, and has stopped himself, but then when sun didn't kiss him back (rightly so bc of his trauma with kong)? he was HURT. like. THERE'S SOMETHING THERE to hold and cling onto. and even in the latest ep, sungmin tried so hard to stop sun from kissing him, but in the end, we ALL knew he'd give into resisting sun bc he wanted him more, despite every threat his dad has given to him, bc it'd been building and building and building. it was a PROPER slow burn, but sungmin's attraction and him being into sun just as much as sun was into him was NEVER a doubt.
hell. even trapped in osaka in 4, 10 minute episodes each (sometimes even less!), showed haoyu being just as into chenxi as chenxi was into haoyu, even though chenxi's "being into haoyu" all started off as just him being fondly teasing and poking fun at haoyu. but that equally "being into one another"? was evident from the get go!
i mean if we're talking super toxic, lets take a look at the pornographer. kijima and kuzumi were OBSESSED with one another, despite however much kijima would brush off kuzumi and string him along. let's also talk about moon and dust! as IF song li isnt doing the seducing on purpose half the time, giving song qi the green light! and song qi KNOWS this.
so. with revenged love? i honestly feel both couples will reach a point of mutual obsession. i'm not worried about that. china Knows how to write and do toxic mutual obsession SO fucking well, man. look at addicted. stay with me (tho that wasnt toxic toxic but very quickly su yu gave in and was just as madly in love with wu bi as wu bi had always been with su yu). i trust china in doing them right!

"president cell phone" this
"president mobile phone" that
how about: my friend convinced throughout the whole time i was reading the raven cycle (it took years im not even kidding) that gansey was just dead and gone in the end so when he was brought back to life and i was reading that part i was scared that he would just die again by bee sting or whatnot. i thought it'd be a "oh he's alive he was dead now he's alive im so happy, what???? he just died like an hour later??? im gonna kill myself this is worse than if he had just stayed dead" no. he's alive. can't believe i fell for it and the ending genuinely felt unsatisfying bc i thought he was gonna be dead and he wasnt (although the ending was a bit lack luster imo but thats neither here nor there). anyways love yall and idk what to post abt this book series bc im not a super great artist and havent drawn srsly in like a year so byeee forever probably.

Glad you liked the submission, as I have more on the Aware of Abuse AU!
I think it would be really interesting to reflect on how this situation would be kind of a drawn out grapple for Marinette. This is in no way salt and I think if it was written she'd both warrant having hear grievances hear, but also could definitely come off as a bit antagonistic, or at least wary.
(Exactly how hostile she defaulted to with Chloe tended to oscillate episode to episode so ya know how it be)
Marinette would have the easiest time getting close with Kagami. She has no history like with Chloe & no baggage, IE friendship with Chloe, like Adrien. Tomoe is not someone Marinette admires and its much easier to see abuse in the physicals side. While she'd struggle to see it more in the verbal or negligence side; or otherwise be able to rationalize the negative behaviors such as over protectiveness.
Meanwhile Adrien would be tied a lot closer to Chloe going into school as she'd be being less overtly antagonistic or vain. Plus, they'd have a much stronger "We need each other to keep from falling back into old patterns and to survive" mentality.
Plus Adrien would be a bit more overtly snarky and less respectful to authority or stuff like Gabriel's fashion shows. He still is very nice and super wants to be liked by everyone all the time, but it'd be a lot easier for her to see the negatives in his behavior.
Chloe meanwhile would probably rankle and outright frustrate her the most. Not just because she'd still be hard to get along with in general, or because she still is not against ignoring rules or disrespecting authority figures. But because...
No clue what your religious views may or may not be, but have you heard those talks of "Catholic guilt" and the idea of needing to suffer, do penance, ETC before one can be redeemed?
Marinette wouldn't strictly think or want that, but there would be a part of her that would sort of... Well resent that Chloe is seemingly just choosing to change and not even necessarily enough.
That is to say, Chloe might still rudely reject Sabrina's cookies out of hand but then instantly walk it back and have some.
But more in that she's suffered no defeat, she's not been taken from her previous luxurious circumstances, she hasn't seemingly lost anything and even more she'd not even be overtly contrite.
That is to say, Chloe wouldn't be doing stuff akin to the Lady Luck AU (Nothing against it, great fic!) where she'd frequently reflect on how much of a 'fuck up' she was. Or or say stuff like, "I know I was a bitch but I am trying to be better". Or feel guilt in the "I can't even be mad they assume the worst of me cos I probably would have done X."
She's just choosing to be different and on some level its deeply unsatisfying and even frustrating.
(Where is the arc, the climax, the catharsis!?)
Especially if some people roll with it or let her get away with it when she starts falling into old habits.
Marinette doesn't want Chloe to suffer or beg forgiveness or hate herself she doesn't. She just doesn't understand why now? Why at all? Why because of her friend? Why because of how she was treated and not how she treated others?
Why couldn't she care enough about hurting Marinette to change!?
That I think would be the lynch-pin and one that is, from Marinette's perspective, as well as others in and out of universe entirely sympathetic, she was hurt after all.
But in that same vain Chloe's an abused child lashing out due to trauma and taught such terrible lessons she sometimes couldn't process that she wasn't doing 'right'.
Marinette's been hurt, and that would need to be properly addressed. But it wouldn't need to happen in a self recriminating manner necessarily.
Not that I don't love those, self hating characters rife with issues are fun to explore. It is just that I think it'd be interesting to explore both, changing as a person, and a "Bad" victim getting help before they actually even start processing over much how others might warrant reoperations.
Does that make sense?
The story "restorative Justice" sort of dips into this from a different middle ground angle and most stuff by Generalluxun often have elements of it too.
Oh yeah no it's.
Marinette doesn't understand why Chloé is Like That™ in the first place, so she can't fathom her wanting to change.
From Mari's perspective, Chloé's life is pretty perfect. She's beautiful, she's rich. She can do whatever she wants whenever she wants and always gets her way through money or influence. She's always bragging about how she's so much better than everyone. Clearly her parents must adore her because they spoil her with gifts and never tell her 'no'. Any 'hardships' are just minor inconveniences that Chloé brought upon herself by being mean.
So why would Chloé choose to change? If it's not broke, don't fix it. Chloé's life is Perfect™, why would she do something to make it different?
It's not that she wants Chloé to suffer, or thinks that she /should/ suffer. She just doesn't understand why someone with a Perfect Life™ would change without going through some kind of suffering that forces introspection.

Have you ever read a fic so good you want to make a fanfic of it, but you don't have the time and brainpower to do it? What 3 fics would they be?
This is such a good question! Usually, another fic or idea inspires the fanfics I want to write. They wouldn't be a continuation, but I loved their idea so much that I wanted more (and thus want to write something).
One such fic is "The Definition of Valor" by nerdpoe. The points I love about this fic are Tim learning to work with his disability, the discussion about how his disability might be perceived by others (such that he is perceived as weak or incapable), the cool technology he invents, the dig at how current systems in our world for the blind suck ass, and him still being a badass. I wouldn't write a fic where he is blind (although I'd love to read more), but I would want to write some with disabilities I have. It'd be cool to conceptualize how a vigilante works with my shit to save the day.
I would love to write a Joker Junior fic where the batfam don't know he was that at some point. There are a few fics like that.
"Signed Red Robin" by Xrea354 and another one I can't find rn. Those did kind of inspire a fic I wrote about Tim leaving the batfam. However, I'd love to actually write one more in depth.
I guess, if I were to write a fanfic for a fanfic, it would be because I was unsatisfied with the ending, the author never finished it and it's been years, or I straight up want a different ending (either to play around with the emotions/scene dynamics or cause I just wanted to see a different ending). I think authors that include different endings are super cool. I don't think I could do that, but those authors rock

Watched Hellraiser 2022 with my sister over lunch and :( I'm so sad I really didn't like it almost at all. She thinks it's a really good movie though and after it ended we watched reviews of it (lol), a positive one and a more negative one and while I guess I could like, see? the points the girl from the positive review was making I just didn't find any of it impressive or super eye-catching, and she kept mentioning how this remake has super well laid-out and explicit lore re: the cenobites and how she really likes that instead of the vagueness of the original, but I seriously could never disagree more? The cenobites are alluring and intimidating because you'll DIE wondering. They're otherwordly and unfeeling to the point I could never call them villains, just merciless deliverers of their gifts...
BUUUT the girl from the 2nd review had apparently rummaged around my brain and taken it all out it was CRAZY
Like as the movie went on I kept thinking about how thoroughly UNsexy the remake is, it drove me INSANE. It's THE goopy gory sexy horror movie and this version had 0 goop, mildly unsatisfying gore, and felt incredibly tame sexually. No joke I was thinking WHERE'S THE SEX!!!!! for most of the movie
I don't have any sort of attachment to any other horror franchises so I've never been let down by a remake like this and I always thought that I'd be able to see all remakes as just another view to an established story, but it turns out I DRASTICALLY underestimated how much Hellraiser means to me.
The cenobite designs were cool and very beautiful visually, but I seriously missed the leather SOOO much.... this was also such a confusing let down for me
I will always be insane about gore but in this case it was just not gory enough? Even though the body horror related aspects were (once again) beautifully done, only a few of them felt visceral enough to be satisfying.
Towards the end where that one guy is becoming like, a cenobite-ling(?) and is getting his body peeled here and there and there and there I just really wanted to see him bleed more and scream with MORE anguish and writhe and cry. It was just not enough for me. There's also the fact that that scene in particular felt visually similar to the ending of Martyrs (also one of my favorite movies of all time), so it was just a complete letdown.
There's also the fact that I found none of the characters particularly interesting, which is crazy because I love Terrifier and that one's notorious for lack of character depth. But in Terrifier you had Brooke and Tara being silly friends together!!! There was not a single time I can think of where the characters in Hellraiser '22 had any sort of... joy? displayed between them. I don't need there to be super wholesome happy and clean relationships, I do, in fact, prefer the opposite when it comes to horror, but weren't these guys supposed to be friends? It just felt like they didn't even particularly like each other.
It also makes me think of how they handled (or rather Didn't handle) Riley's struggles as an addict. Of COURSE it's gonna raise tensions with the people who care for her! It's not an easy situation/topic to navigate, ever, but after one point it just felt irrelevant to the story when I feel they could've explored it in an interesting way that also aligns with the themes of temptation we see in the original. Frank went to such an extreme place while looking for sexual pleasure after all!?! I would've loved to see Riley struggle more explicitly with addiction, have more involved relationships with the other characters, have the cenobites use her addiction against her as a way to tempt her, and ALSO make the surreal aspects of '22 feel SO much weirder and anxiety-inducing!!
But in the end the most massive and shocking letdown is, once again, the lack of eroticism within the film. I want it to be scandalous! I want to feel thrilled! I want to look at the cenobites and be able to imagine what it'd be like to grab and twist and poke at their exposed flesh and bone and every sharp edge I could possibly reach! I want to look at gore and feel the way meat and guts and blood run through hands, wet and slimy and soft and red and disgusting, I want to think of a body's warm insides becoming colder as I hold them! There was no grime in this movie at all, and the gory scenes felt like they were only half-done!! I want to see it all, but the fact there was unreached potential will ALWAYS be so much more frustrating than just cutting it out entirely.
It was just not remotely what I wanted from a new Hellraiser movie, because it's an entirely different focus!! x( but its story couldn't have been told without the presence of the cenobites and the puzzle box, so ????

man ykwhat, i didn't wanna say it but i was thinking about it earlier and swan being released so soon after abyss monarch, after something like three years of no new legendaries (not counting the dragons here), it feels like devsis was riding the high of releasing a good legendary with an interesting story and worldbuilding. feels like they were trying to cash grab what they got from the success of abyss monarch by quickly releasing swan so soon after. like, come on, i dont even think there were two events between abyss monarch and the sugar swan's releases, and those are two LEGENDARIES. bam bam. we had like zero room to breathe between them
also like, come on. they released swan from NPC hell after SEVEN YEARS and her whole event is unsatisfying because she wasn't even in the event for like 90% of it. i like the worldbuilding they did for the dessert paradise and i love blue slushy, but it really didn't feel like a new legendary release event.
if you ask me, sugar swan shouldnt have released at all during that event, ESPECIALLY because of that teaser cliffhanger at the end of the story! if they had used the dessert guardian test event to build up to the sugar swan's legendary release at a later date, that ending cliffhander would've given devsis room to make a future event to release her! they could've given swan the same proper build-up they gave abyss monarch. did you guys SEE how in-depth the designers went with "The Making of Wandercrab"??? why did swan get SHAFTED so hard
swan is an extremely indifferent character and i like the angle they're going for with her but. their execution of her story and the timing of her release and everything...??? it just felt SUPER flat. like they went all in building wandercrab for abyss monarch and shafted swan SO bad bc they wanted money. swan doesnt get an intricately built story and setting the way abyss monarch does with the tower of frozen waves leading into sugarteara leading into wandercrab, and it KILLS me bc swan's release could have actually been REALLY cool if they'd just teased her in the dessert guardian test event and then waited to release her in a future event.
like, hear me out. what if it had gone like, blue slushy, epic cookie, first release, they introduce the spring and summer sections of the dessert paradise. red panna cotta cookie, epic cookie, second release, they introduce fall and winter sections of the dessert paradise. everything goes as is, but the swan isnt released, she's just touched on in the story and is a little cameo at the end! like wow, she CAN turn into a cookie that's pretty cool. and its this big payoff for blue slushy's character arc and it gives some closure to red panna cotta's conflict with blue slushy too, all without dropping the sugar swan too much in there because the story wasn't really ABOUT her as a character, just her as an IDEAL.
and then, there's the ending cliffhanger with the black sugar duck, which gives them a perfect opportunity to springboard from that into a future event where swan is released!
and remember how in the event they said if the swan doesn't return, winter will come? well, what if in this hypothetical future event, something does happen to the swan, and it's the black sugar duck's fault, and winter DOES come.
i think it'd be an interesting spin to add elements of the demeter persephone hades story too, where persephone spends three months in the underworld with her husband and demeter is so upset at being away from her daughter that persephone's absence causes winter
black sugar duck does something to the swan, winter comes. the dessert paradise guardian birds have to go find and free/save the swan to stop winter! MAN THIS COULD'VE BEEN THEIR WINTER TO SPRING EVENT NEXT YEAR TOO
idk. maybe also the black sugar duck becomes a cookie because of whatever they did to the swan and is the first release cookie, but we don't KNOW it's them. we can only guess until halfway through the event where we find out they're purposefully leading the dessert guardians astray from finding the sugar swan because they want to continue being beautiful and its a huge conflict! and then swan releases as the second cookie in the event, and we get some characterization for her that's beyond just "she's an indifferent goddess, neither malevolent or benevolent". maybe she willingly GAVE some of her power to the black sugar duck. maybe she's the persephone to the black sugar duck's hades. maybe she's the indifference to the black sugar duck's extreme passion and they balance each other out.
meh idk. i just feel like the sugar swan's release event could have been better thought out instead of being a transparent cash grab. also red panna cotta SHOULD have been playable.

(Wings of fire arc 2 spoilers) (How I think the ending could be done better)
Ok so like I LOVE kinkajou but her being the one to stop D-stalker was not the plot twist it was probably intended to be....when she's been the least personally effected by darkstalker's plotline...I think most people agree with that though I hope. The only thing that makes the Kinkajou plot twist interesting is that she was the person he least suspected to do anything to him. (But unfortunately even that wasn't honed in on and it was just a resolution to the "darkstalker thinks kinkajou is boring" running gag as a result) I think it would have been more rewarding if Foeslayer or Moon herself was the one to end Darkstalker. I could also accept Qibli just for the simple fact that it was his book and he honestly deserves a memorable W because he has absolutely 0 in his own book (and it would make his and moons relationship feel more earned too but other then that it wouldn't be THAT beneficial it'd just be fun) I think Foeslayer would be the one most ACCURATE for the writing style and the most sensible considering the direction the arc went in-- It makes sense that the reason none of the protagonists (minus turtle) did anything about darkstalker was because they were simply incapable of agreeing on a way to beat him and needed someone to step in and finish him in a way none of them could think of, it would make the "dragged on" style of writing qibli's book had make sense because it was basically hopeless until someone else actually came to do something (rather than the narrative just super obviously putting off plot revelations until its "time for that") I think to me though it would be the BEST if it were Moon to stop him though. It would have made the story come around on itself and it would have given Moon a real proper "arc" instead of one that only silently disproves her initial thought process that was obviously wrong the whole time lol... (that darkstalker can be reasoned with)...it would have also made her randomly siding with him again (conveniently after everyone is enchanted to like him) after he admitted to killing his dad feel at least more earned, like at least it makes sense why the narrative needs her to like him again (so there can be a satisfying conclusion to it). I think the way it is it would be kind of out of nowhere and it would still feel kind of BS for her to finally stop him after the book put it off for so long, but it would at least be an improvement to an overall unsatisfying conclusion and would improve an extremely important character losing almost all agency during the entire finale book and then never properly addressing it (other than winter who got villainized by all his friends for it and was treated like a bad boy who doesnt deserve the girl after that point lmao.)

Ok ok what’s been your favorite and least favorite case so far? Across all the games
Ooh, that's a tough question because it really depends on the terms on which I'm judging them. I can like a case with a weak mystery and a solid story and characters, just as much as a case with boring characters but a really engaging mystery that's genuinely hard to crack. I can also forgive both a weak mystery and a weak plot if the case has one (1) really loveable himbo (I'm talking about Will Powers, of course, every case with Will Powers in it is a great one in my book).
Proving Damon Gant guilty was probably the most fun. He's in the story from very early on, and I did suspect him from minute one, but it wasn't annoying because his mannerisms were entertaining and his powerful aura of someone not to fuck with captivated me. He was there long enough to go from amusing to endearing, to menacing, and finally to pathetic, which is always a great watch. The mystery was fairly solid too. Blue Badger provided a much needed horror element, and Jake Marshall was one of my favorite side characters. Also the music was epic.
Purely mystery-wise, the gourd lake murder was the best. I really liked the twist about the criminal "taking the bullet" - literally "taking" the bullet with him, I thought it was very nicely done. Overall, if I were to replay a case, I'd pick that one.
Narratively, the Max Galactica trial was super fun, and genuinely heart-wrenching at the end. What a sad turn of events. Goddamn.
Matt Engarde coolest twist villain of all time, I love him.
Least favorite case... Mystery-wise, would have to be Dr. Gray's murder - I figured most things out very quickly but it dragged on for way too long, and the resolution was just kind of unsatisfying, really. Didn't even get to watch Morgan Fey sweat on the witness stand. What a shame.
Narrative-wise, it'd have to be the Will Powers trial. I liked it fine, it just didn't stick with me, and the villain was meh. Least threatening of them all, honestly.
I'm not counting the tiny cases at the beginning of each game, btw. I think they work fine as tutorials, and have no need for a complex story or a particularly emotional plot. They're tutorials, they should be judged by different standards. THAT SAID, Dahlia Hawthorne's theme music is fucking heavenly, oh my god. Can't even get mad at her. Genuinely one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard in my life. Breathtaking.

i don't believe tdl is actually dead for a few reasons;
it would be a very unsatisfying end for her arc, since we barely find out anything about her character despite her being a major villain in one of the two series.
ava/m has a theme of redeeming all its villains and showing their side of the story as well, similar to steven universe. purple, mango, all the minor villains like in avp and avar, and chosen were all redeemed. killing dark without giving him a second chance or at least making a massive show out of not redeeming him wouldn't make sense. that's just kind of bad writing, and alan generally puts a lot of thought into his stories. (this applies to victim as well)
kind of like anon said, they're a part of the hollowhead quartet. we've seen no other proper hollowheads, and the ones we have seen are shown to be very powerful. they're a bit too important to the plot and worldbuilding to just kill off like that. (this applies to victim as well)
we haven't seen any major character deaths yet. gold and orchid don't count, since they died before the story and were generally just plot devices. every other death we've seen has been undone. i feel like if dark was actually dead, they'd make a bigger deal out of it, since it'd be the first actual death.
similar to the last point, we didn't actually see dark die. we saw her get beamed into a faraway place, and it would be deadly, but tdl is a hollowhead with powers just like tsc and tco so it's not out of the question to say she could endure it. plus, they haven't even mentioned dark in the story since (apart from showing the clip of orange broth beaming him), so that makes me believe they're purposely keeping it as mysterious as possible to allow for a surprise appearance later in the series.
sorry for the super super long ask, it kinda got away from me T-T just wanted to provide my reasonings for why it's unlikely dark is permadead (other than just the fact that fans wouldn't like it) - ♠️
Oh, totally agree with your points! It’s just that right now in the series, as far as we know, TDL is dead. This was once the case with victim too, so ye, I’m well aware and personally also hoping that TDL’s status may change. I mean, he’s alive on my askblog side of things.
Also, no problem with ask length, I get it! I love seeing other fans’ thoughts and passion - that’s what fandoms all about!

Disventure Camp All Stars Power Ranking (Round 13 - Venus)
Recap: Yul's Elimination (8/9 pts)
Total Points: 8/9
Well, I sure did rank those powers! Not bad for a first week, I think. Yul's elimination was pretty obvious, but I did think it was possible to likely that we'd set up some other plotlines with some other characters BEFORE getting rid of Yul.
Instead, the Yul plot thread is over, and other than the Alec/Riya kiss, we don't have that many active plot threads. We're probably gonna start some new ones this episode! The scary thing is that if we're starting the plot threads next episode, I have, like... almost nothing to go off of for this week's power rankings. I'm not even good at trailer analysis like Accirax, soooo... good luck to me, I guess.
Anyways, here's my best shot! I fully expect this to be my worst week this season!
1: Gabby
I really struggled with where to put Gabby. She and Grett just completed a major friendship plotline, so like... where to?
I don't really think either Grett or Gabby will go down this episode, just because I think it'd be nice to have a full episode of them getting to be friends without Yul being there without one of them getting kicked out at the end. Sacred space. Plus, if you roughly assume the heroes are still working together, as are Alec and Riya, Gabby and Grett might be swing votes. I assume they'll be working together, but there's reason to believe the pair might go in either direction. That gives them power, at least in the short term.
2: Grett
However, unlike Gabby, I think Grett is more at risk of going home. Grett's arc this season is clearly about breaking free from needing Yul's approval and finding a genuine friend in Gabby. I think it would be sort of fucked up to have her realize Gabby is the friend she always needed and then IMMEDIATELY cut that friend out of the game, leaving her alone again. Plus, I'm not sure exactly what Gabby's arc is, whereas Grett has pretty clearly completed hers.
That being said, I'm only barely putting Grett in the bottom half. I still don't really think she's going home for the reasons I mentioned in the Gabby section. I could definitely see her going soon, if she's not intended to be an end gamer, but I definitely also think she could be. Grett as a final 3 pick with Gabby on her bench feels really viable to me. I even think she could win, if they wanted a pretty thoroughly redeemed villain.
3: Jake
When in doubt, hopefully my winner pick is safe.
I just feel like Jake's been set up to have more character to arc! He's definitely getting better about working with other people and not being incredibly paranoid and all that, but he's still got some room to go until he finishes his arc.
It seems like he's fighting with someone (could be literally anyone lol) in the trailer for this week's episode, which also means that he's not above bickering or anything. He's still Jake.
Basically, that's a long way to say that it seems like this season has big plans for Jake, and I don't think they'd take him out with little enough setup. I do worry a LITTLE bit putting him so high, just because there's probably a lot of people who'd be willing to vote Jake, but I just don't see it happening from a narrative perspective.
4: Alec
My list, my rules. Alec is GOING to go further, trust me bro.
In all seriousness, I don't think Alec would go home this upcoming episode. He's spent a lot of the season being a successful mastermind, and it seems like last episode kicked off his cringefail loser arc. I think it'd be sad to only give him two episodes to be a cringefail loser, plus it might be a little unsatisfying if he just... leaves off there. Obviously there'd still be the losers' motel; similar to how Ally and Hunter wanted to work things out off screen, it could make sense if, say, Alec and Riya got to talk without the cameras being on. Still, I think Alec's got at least a few more episodes in him.
Obvious cons: Alec is a super big threat (he won like 3 challenges in a row and probably only lost last challenge because he didn't claim a superpower) and is running short on allies. I'm kind of assuming the villain/hero dichotomy is largely dead after last episode, and I don't know how much loyalty, say, Grett and Gabby would have if they're not bound by the alliance. Alec is also seen talking to both Connor and Riya in the trailer, which could be a good way to tie up some of his loose threads.
Whatever, he hasn't failed me before. Just win immunity again or something.
5: Connor
Still cannot shake the unshakable feeling that Connor has More To Do. He once again wasn't super important last episode, so everything I said last time about him needing to do more to justify being the returnee still holds. This time, he's at least talking to Alec, which probably means development for both of them. He'll also probably be very cringe in the seemingly TikTok themed challenge, so there's that.
As with the two above him, I'd be a bit worried about Connor pulling votes again, given that he was the previous target of the villains. However, I don't REALLY think anyone heroes side would vote for him, meaning that he shouldn't pull a majority of the votes, at least.
Additionally, I think it's very possible he'll be a major part of Alec's way back into the game (possibly mixed with some kind of redemption arc for Alec?), which means that he'd need to stick around a little longer. I definitely feel like we're about to enter the Connor plotline zone, which means he really should have a couple more episodes in him at least.
6: Ally
I still don't really know what to do with Ally. I continue to put her third from the bottom, just because there's less reason to actively put her higher in my mind, but there isn't really anything that pushes her towards the very bottom either.
I am excited to see what Ally's up to this episode, because if the challenge does have to do with social media, I'm expecting it to be something along the lines of "whoever gets the most likes wins the challenge." Based on her obsession with whether or not the viewers like her, that certainly seems like it'll do something.
I also have this crack theory I only half believe that Ally could join up with Riya and Alec if she sees that, like, the villains are more popular on social media or something because they're taking the game more seriously (which I'm pretty sure was what she got criticized for not doing last time). That would help capitalize on Riya setting that up earlier while also giving Alec and Riya a way to not necessarily get straight swept. If that's the case, I'd bet on a Riya immunity win, which further highlights the popularity of the villain character she portrays.
I don't super believe that theory, though, so who knows what Ally's doing! I just want to record it on the off chance that it's how the story actually goes.
7: Aiden
In my mind, Aiden and Riya are both in danger as people who made the finals in their original season. I feel like either of them being a losing finalist again wouldn't have much spice to it, and I don't really expect either of them to win. Additionally, Aiden and Jake seem to have fully made up at this point, their collective immunity win last week serving as a good symbol of that, so I could see Aiden getting cut.
My vision for the next couple episodes is that we're transitioning from the midgame to the endgame. As a result, the people who will be in our top 5 or 6 or so and have plot significance as the finalists are being picked will be getting new plotlines, and people whose plotlines are already more or less resolved will be at risk of getting eliminated, just kinda because. Aiden definitely feels like he could be cut in that group to me.
The big thing with Aiden is just that I'm not sure exactly where the votes come from. I do think it could be nice to take out a hero, just so that it doesn't feel like Alec and Riya are both doomed, but it's also obviously possible that one of the two of them will go down and the other will have to play in isolation for a little while.
I think the most likely way for an Aiden boot to happen is either a clutch immunity totem from, say, Riya, who would probably want to eliminate Aiden or Connor if she has her full shot, or if Ally does flip to join Alec and Riya. I think Ally would probably rather target Jake, but whatever.
8: Riya
I am by no means confident in a Riya boot, but when I assess the cast, it makes the most sense to me by far.
I think both Alec and Connor are going to make late game (if I had to lock it in right now, I'd say the final 5 are going to be Alec, Connor, Jake, Ally and either Gabby or Grett, meaning that one of Gabby/Grett, Aiden and Riya will collectively make up our next 3 boots). However, leaving Alec, Connor and Riya around is just... a large percentage of people to remain in that group. Similar to how Tom got eliminated when it was about time to cut one of the Aiden/Tom/Jake trio, I think Riya is the most expendable of the Alec/Connor/Riya trio.
She could easily get a lot of votes if we are in a weird in-between period of alliances, just because she is pretty problematic and a lot of people would be willing to vote her out. It's true that Grett might still be somewhat aligned with her, since Riya defended Grett from Yul, but I don't think that's something she can bank on, at least.
I also think it would be interesting to see how Alec and Connor move forward alone, as two people that Riya rejected romantically in favor of the game and her camera appearances. Assuming Riya refuses to budge on that for the rest of the season, which I am, I don't think she has much to say to Connor, and after talking to Alec this episode, I can believe she wouldn't have much room to grow in her relationship with Alec with the cameras on, either.
I definitely think Riya could win immunity here; I honestly think that timeline I discussed with Ally is probably her best bet. Though, barring anything weird, I still think she's the most likely so far.

trick or treat
Ok, so another potential fanfic idea floating around my head
Is based off me reading sandman, infinity inc, and young all stars and wonder woman and in general finding the arc of lyta trevor and helena kosmatos unsatisfying.
Ok so general themes: I think that Sandman Lyta is too passive compared to Infinity Inc Lyta, and she feels like a very generic character mostly designed to fill a role, rather than "This is what Lyta would actually do"
I also think that the Silver Scarab plot in Infinity Inc was rather unsatisfying.
Anyway, so. the premise is that we see Helena Kosmatos actually appear on panel (well ""panel"" it'd be in words if it's a fic) sometime post COIE and before Lyta leaves to look for Hector. She warns Lyta about the potential power of the Furies, because Helena has felt herself become more and more okay with what they do* and acting as Tisiphone, just over the years, but she remembers how horrifying she found it when she was young and acting as a conventional superhero**. The having no control would "foreshadow" Lyta in Sandman as she says (when she is being warned away from her path to kill dream and become an agent for the furies) that she has no choice. This also parallels well with the "it was destiny/unavoidable" of Hec's arc in Infinity Inc, where his villain-face-turn (thru... being hollowed out) is treated as a prophecy that cannot be averted except for in his death.
Anyway, so! How do we get to Lyta as she is in Sandman?
I think that Lyta should kill Hec >:D
Ok well TECHNICALLY Tisiphone should kill Hector, but while possessing Lyta, so Lyta would blame herself.
My idea is that after Lyta is approached by Helena, post COIE, she eventually goes to find out where Hector has ran off to, as she did in Infinity Inc canon. In this instance, when she sees Hector's dead body and is approached by Silver Scarab, she becomes so angry that she starts to unleash Tisiphone, and nearly kills him. She stops because Silver Scarab pretends that he is Hector, and she overcomes Tisiphone because of her love for him. This is what creates the weakness in Silver Scarab, rather than Lyta being pregnant***. He was saved by love. Slowly (very slowly) the silver scarab starts to unwind.
However then her not killing him results in her getting captured, like she did in Infinity Inc. The furies hate that!
Norda finds the infinity Incers after being re-trained by Worla and they go after Silver Scarab similar in canon. BUT! Norda, due to the training he received, notices Hector's weakness. He is encouraged by it, because he does not like the rhetoric that he just has to kill one of his friends because the prophecy says so. When Norda observes this, the Furies see this as their chance to strike. They are angered, humiliated, and Lyta does view her previous showing of mercy as part of her fault and why she was kidnapped, so she is in the place to unleash the Furies.
And... she kills Hector.
This explains why she's so willing to follow him into the dream world when he reappears as sandman, rather than young love and it being scandalous to be pregnant and unmarried. She has a nagging sense of guilt. She follows him into some new world that is not quite reality, from which she will not be able to return, because she remembers her own hands killing him.
When Daniel is at first kidnapped later on, and we don't see her acting at first but just letting the police try to solve things, it is because she remembers how badly things went last time she let her anger and fear influence her decisions.
but then daniel dies.
And she goes on the quest she does in Sandman, slowly becoming more and more an agent of the furies and less and less herself, and she remembers her mother's warnings.
*as she is in wonder woman, Jimenez's run
**as she did in Young All Stars
***which was just... super weird? IDK its like he can't be completely evil b/c the person he is possessing had unprotected sex?

HetaOni Fanmade Ending Thoughts
I have both compliments and criticisms and just want to give my honest thoughts after playing.
I enjoyed the scenes with the nations themselves, such as Italy being trapped in his mind in a perfect simulation and Holy Rome, Prussia, Romano, and the two ancients working together to get him out. I liked the basic idea that Russia's seemingly disturbing phone calls were actually him trying to help, but not saying anything because he could never find the right time. I think the way England got his sight back made enough sense, although I think it'd be even better if he was shown having to deal with the consequences of the sacrifice a bit more, plus maybe America having more moments to react, get upset, and help him out.
What I didn't get into, however, was the explanation for why the events of the game happened. In short, everything with the 2ps. For me, their existence in the game felt very random and not at all organic. I think the plot with them could work in another game, but not HetaOni, because the original game had no build up that would ever make me expect a universe domination scheme with 2ps, plus the themes and styles don't match. It'd be like if you took Coraline and threw in an evil organisation that employed witches to rid the world of children, haha.
I think a backstory/myth just surrounding the lore of that one cursed house would've worked better, something focused more on Ryuuzu and the creatures as mysterious supernatural entities on their own rather than elements of a super ambitious plot. Maybe they can't even be fully explained. I do have ideas, but I feel it'd be better to make a separate post for that.
Moving on to the ending itself, I have mixed feelings. While the nations worked very hard together, I feel like the 2ps just deciding on their own to hand over an escape portal felt a bit...anticlimactic? It sort of removed their agency. I think it would've been better if they acquired an escape route on their own. Either by finding it, defeating a final boss and taking it, or even having to convince the one keeping them trapped to let them go.
Then, when they do leave the mansion, I'm okay with them expecting to lose their memories since that brought about a very sweet scene I felt fit all their growth so far, but then there should be a scene that triggers the memories to come back. That sort of happened with the candy, but it felt unsatisfying how little they remembered, because then it's hard to tell how much their arcs meant in the end. If their memories have to stay gone then I feel like they should at least have a moment expressing how strangely, they all feel a great deal closer to each other and less alone than ever before, maybe in an epilogue scene at the sleepover thing they decide to have.
These are just my opinions. Maybe they'll be taken into consideration for the remake, maybe they won't, but either way, it was interesting to see a continuation of the game. The art was great and made it a lot easier to take serious moments, well, seriously. Also, I don't know if/how much the original dialogue got tweaked, but it felt better than I remember. I'm sure it took a lot of hard work to recreate the game, so congratulations to Cookie for starting the project and seeing it through.
