PRE-RELATIONSHIP STUFF

when you guys first started dating, i feel like paige would be kind of secretive about it

maybe secretive isn't the right word but very... private but not secret type of vibe (at least irl)

not because she doesn't want to show you off, because believe me, she wants to (she's a bragger what can i say)

but just because she wants to keep you all to herself for a while

she knows that as soon as people find out about it, everyone will be talking about it and making assumptions and she just wants to keep you to herself

at least for a couple months

she doesn't care about the public's opinions but she wants to make sure that y'all are LOCKED IN before she makes it public on social media

but it's clear to paige that y'all are very much locked in after the first couple weeks

she's not new to relationships and she's had her fair share but she can tell that it's different now

so the whole "not sure if i wanna hard/soft launch her cus what if we're not a long term" sentiment turns into "i wanna keep this special thing to myself ONLY for at least a couple months"

and of course the entire team knows paige is down bad for you, they've never ever seen her this WHIPPED

because paige seems like she'd be nonchalant and SHE IS... for people she doesn't give a fuck about

so when she likes someone, she LIKES someone

you were really close with some of the girls on the team, specifically azzi so you saw paige kind of a lot

but sophomore year, azzi kind of pushed you guys to be close and since she knows you guys so well, IT WORKED!

you guys clicked so quick and that doesn't happen a lot with paige, it takes a lot to earn her friendship

but you practically ripped down all her walls within like an hour of talking to her

like after every terrible, long practice or after losing games all she wants to do is be AROUND YOU so she could forget about everything

especially when she gets injured, she's such a wreck and the only person who made her feel better was you

it wasn't even what you said or what you did, it was simply just you

and after going through such a bad time with you, she realized that she liked you and she can't keep pretending

and she asked you (yaya!) and you said yes cus you liked her back (yaya!) and everything is just YAYA

so it's safe to say she knows she's found her soulmate within a month of knowing you

but she doesn't wanna seem like she's love-bombing you or whatever so she pretended to be nonchalant

which of course FAILS because she's down bad

so she tells you she loves you within like a month of dating

i KNOW it seems bad but you guys both felt it because of the whole injury and spending every moment together

when you know, you know vibes

she told you she loved you after you were there for her through some of the worst times of her life and you said it back of course and it's all cutesy

paige's love language is TOTALLY quality time and touch

even before you were dating, she just liked having her hands on you whether it was like holding your hand while walking through a crowd, or braiding your hair, or putting her head on top of yours or something as simple as just HUGGING you

but she kept it cordial of course cus y'all weren't dating

yeah that was all thrown out the window as soon you became her girlfriend

hands on you at ALL times, it becomes so subconscious neither of you even know you're doing it anymore

well... everyone kind of figures it out online after like 3 months of dating

it was because of paige, poor girl couldn't keep her hands and lips off of you after a particularly hard game and somehow 🤨🤨someone gets a picture and it was all over twitter and tiktok the next day

literally "paige bueckers girlfriend" trending after an hour of getting posted

but neither of you cared too much about it because A. it was totally worth it cus the kiss was 😫😫😫 and B. she finally doesn't have to turn off her girlfriend mode when she's with you at games

cus she has the prettiest and best gf in the world and she wants everyone to know that

the only reason she was slightly annoyed was because she couldn't hard launch you on instagram :( poor girl had potential captions in her notes :( cus she's our little drama queen:(

but that doesn't stop her cus she ends up doing it! (shameless plug right there hehehe)

now that she can freely touch you and just be herself finally, she literally doesn't GAFFF

of course nothing like over the top because sure she loves PDA to a certain extent and she's an athlete so she needs to keep it civil

RELATIONSHIP STUFF

we've already covered how paige is a physical touch and quality time girly

and paige loves spending literally all her free time with you because you just recharge her

but it isn't in like an overwhelming way

paige understand that sometimes you need quiet time (or vice versa) but the thing is she doesn't even need you to talk just being around you is enough

so idk if it's necessarily QUALITY time but just being around you and spending every free second she has with you tells you that she is in love with you

paige is the most protective person IN THE WORLD, not just with you like in general

it doesn't even have to be someone she knows, if she sees someone giving someone else a hard time SHE WILL STEP IN!

and with her friends, y'all have seen her... she does not back down and will literally murder anyone who comes for the people she cares about

so if that's with people she doesn't know, and her friends, you guys can imagine how crazy she gets over you

if somebody says something even slightly consendecing or mean, slap. someone looks at you the wrong way? slap. somebody breaths wrong around you, slap.

obviously she won't lay a hand on them first but likeeee would she back down, nope

she is actually your guardian angel

like at parties, her hand is always on you and she never ever leaves your side

you need to get a drink, she's coming to

if you need to pee? she'll wait in the bathroom for you

yeah don't expect her to leave your side

because even when she IS by your side, there is always a weirdo in your guys' ear trying to get with one (or both!) of you

but yeah she's not afraid to defend you when it comes to literally anything

and this doesn't only apply to strangers, if there is someone that you know (your friend, her friend, etc) she WILL stand by you and defend you

like she doesn't shy away from confrontation, she will say something but only if you want her to

and GOD HELP THEM if you shed a single tear, cus the next morning you bet she's saying something

like i said, paige is a confrontational person and that means she's the biggest communicator

if she has a problem, she will tell you so that you guys can fix it

but sometimes she can come off a little argumentative and like she's just attacking you

she uses a lot of "you" statements so it seems like she's pushing the blame all on to you

so that can be the root of a lot of your guys' arguments when paige is only trying to solve the issues

but of course paige doesn't back down so she will be arguing with you even if she doesn't even know why, she just hates being wrong

but she doesn't let you leave or go to sleep unless the problem is fixed (or at least on the road to being fixed)

she'll give you space, she'll go another room to take a breather but she will not let you leave until it is fixed

usually after the breather you guys can come to an agreement and then paige usually hugs all the anger outta you

cus who could resist her?

if the argument lasts a couple days (it usually doesn't unless it's something serious) paige will talk it out with her mom or her friends

and you'll usually do the same

and paige will force you to sit down and talk about it until it is FIXED because she hates not being able to talk to you

and when you guys do eventually talk about it, especially if it's a serious topic, it will end with tears with both parties

but you guys always make up and everything will be better

i feel like paige's nervous tic would be braiding the ends of her hair so i feel like that would transfer to YOU somehow

Woe fankids be upon ye

Doing a little series where I took some ship requests on my instagram to make them fankids, this one is for me tho (jeanlisa to kick it off whoo 🙌🏻) The lineup so far is Cytham, Kavetham, Lionfish (aka Freminet x Gaming aged up probably idk how old they are canonically), Cynonari, Jealuc, and Beiguang, and feel free to send me some other pairings you wanna see (as long as they are legal pls otherwise I will ignore it 👎)

I'm gonna ramble about some headcanons and lore for them under the cut, continue with caution bc I'm insane

These two are my brainrot rn, don't even joke lad. And I wanna tell yall their name meanings too bc I like them a lot 🥹 Zephra's means "west wind" derived from Greek, and it's the feminine version of Zephyr. Tyrian was a type of purple dye used by the Ancient Phoenicians, huge huge HUGE thanks to my pookie bear @miothefish for helping me out with his name!!! Also he has Lisa's butterfly earring and you can't see bc of the angle but Zephra has the rose that went in her hair holding her ponytail <3

I'm also making a massive family tree for the characters as a go along, and just the jeanlisa tree is taking up half of the canvas bc of the KoF and Sumeru characters since Cyno is their uncle and the rest of the gang are their honorary uncles 😭 I'll be posting that once the series is done/all the requests are finished/I run out of ships and otps I enjoy

Here's an alternative version with some more info on most of the characters I wanted to briefly mention in their relation to them; Tyrian likes calling Eula his aunt too even though she was never really considered one for them so it's kind of like her unofficial title she pretends to dislike but she loves it and dotes on Tyrian 🤭 She and Diluc also helped train Zephra with a claymore and Diluc kind of became a parental figure to her in her teen years after Lisa's passing 🥺 She also feels like she's outshined by Jean and that she's not smart or powerful enough to follow in Lisa's footsteps (something that Lisa wouldn't want anyways bc it led her to her death 😔) rip zephra she's just like me fr

And yeah some Kaeya angst bc he's still going thru it I fear, and Jean is single mombossing but she's worried for zephra which me too dawg, im afraid to say she might be cooked 😦 Zephra is also kind of like a weird mix of Lisa when she was her age and Jean, where overall she's well-mannered and kind but she can be competitive and feel the need to push herself too much and pull a few strings to get what she wants from time to time. Tyrian is a ray of sunshine tho, he has not yet witnessed the horrors 💔 I do think that Jean is also a lot easier on him than her mom was with her so that also helps. He's very shy tho and wants to stick with Zephra or Razor most of the time, and they both have some nasty tan lines from going out with Razor and Klee and Fischl a lot 😔 Cyno also freaking loves them and dotes on them and Tyrian is getting a TCG addiction because of it smh, Cyno is also one of Zephra's favorite people and when she's in Sumeru she stays with him and Alhaitham (bc in my universe they are married ough I love cytham)

And (I think?) Klee physically and mentally ages slower than humans so I think she'd be technically 9 or 10, and Zephra is left with babysitting duty most of the time if she's home on break or smth 😭 Klee really looks up to her tho

Also, I wrote Tyrian's last bullet point like he was super young when Lisa died, but I think he was around 7 so he actually remembers Lisa better than I intended it to sound, he was just younger than Zephra (who was 11 at the time) and just didn't have as much time with her as Zeph did, but his most fond memory of Lisa was reading with her and she probably taught them some potion-making skills too.

I think there will be some abyss angst in here too at some point, since I hc Lisa to be probably an Abyss Lector/Harold (I forget which is which) um so thinking that Zeph and Tyrian experiencing some not normal things happening and Jean doesn't know what to do since Lisa also didn't really know what that dog in her was until it was too late 😔 That's what Kaeya's for tho since he's like the heir of the abyss???? Go off king. Also some touchy ragbros angst bc Kaeya is scared for Zeph knowing how close she is with Luc and he doesn't want him to push her away because of her being from the abyss or smth (they mostly made up but it's still a fear in Kaeya's mind both for him and Jean's kids)

I think that's all I wanted to touch on for now?? Mainly just thinking about domestic fluff and angst all the time now 🥺 Zeph not being able to be open with Jean bc she feels like a disappointment but Jean would literally actually die for her and shes proud of her no matter what ough im going to lose my freak dawg guess who my favorite fankid is it's super hard ik

watch funny videos online (i like SNL and clips from the office)

read a chapter of that book you set aside

if you can, get some fresh air, whether that's a short walk or just opening a window

if you're up for it, exercise can help, even just some stretching

work out your feelings creatively: draw, write angsty teenage poetry, sing a ballad in the shower, anything. we are creative creatures.

listen to some music - my friends all like listening to sad music when they're upset, but i find happy music helps. whatever works for you.

text/call/chat with someone you care about, even if it's unrelated to how you're feeling rn. just a meme or an emoji even, remind yourself you are loved.

not okay: mission small steps

get yourself some water

get a snack - it doesn't have to be complicated. a piece of fruit, some cheese and crackers, some chips, popcorn, pretzels, leftovers from last night. don't feel bad. this is productive. you are being productive. this is what you need rn.

turn on some chill music

make a list of the things you have to do - "must do today or there will be severe consequences", "should probably do today", "don't have to do today"

put aside the "don't have to do today". it's okay. there will be other days, better days. dramatically rip off that part of your to-do list, crumble it up, and throw it in the nearest trash can basketball star style.

start with your must dos. work for 15 minutes, then take a 5 minute break. if you can't do 15 minutes straight, do whatever time amount you can do. slow progress is still progress. i'm so proud of you.

take a nice, rewarding break after your must dos. you deserve it. then - reassess. are you up for your "should dos"? if so, repeat the last bullet point with them. if not, that's okay. there will be other days.

you did it. i'm so proud of you. one day you will look back on today and think "wow, i was so strong for getting through that. i can't believe i got through that" and you will be right. because you are so strong. ily <3 you are the best spy ever.

Do you have any headcanons for Shingou/Gregfred? (I recently got into this ship and there is not nearly enough content of them sadly)

Ooooo shingou, lemme see. Shingou can go in two ways- enemies to lovers that becomes a genuine relationship, or just the most toxic thing you’ve ever seen lmao. I’ll do soft shingou hcs since that’s what I like the best. This of course would be a no dl-6 au

-How it started-

since it starts as an enemies to lovers scenario, initially things are rocky. Their frustration and confused attraction to one another eventually came to a point one day when Gregory confronted him in Manfred’s office…which lead to sudden ✨hate sex✨

this trend continued to happen until Gregory eventually beat Manfred in court. Needless to say this left Manfred distraught, leading him to take his first vacation ever (as opposed to taking a vacation bc of the bullet in his shoulder lol)

the only person who cared about Manfred’s disappearance was Gregory. He would relentlessly try to contact Manfred, going to his house and asking Manfred to let him in. Manfred would never answer….which lead to Gregory breaking into his house…which did not end well.

regardless, Gregory was able to finally talk to Manfred in an attempt to understand what the hell was wrong. And Manfred (being a dumbass) literally can not comprehend why Gregory even cares. He was able to defeat the god of prosecutors, why would he even care Manfred’s well being? Bc he likes you dummy. That’s why.

Gregory continued to visit Manfred after this, and Manfred started letting him in- mostly to prevent Gregory from breaking in again. Their relationship slowly became more stable from there.

Gregory was the first to state his affections. Manfred obviously felt the same way but you couldn’t torture that information out of him.

If Manfred would eventually return to court, it would be to Gregory’s dismay. Greg being the rational one in the relationship understands that Manfred continuing to be a prosecutor isn’t healthy, both bc of the expectations he puts on himself and the expectations that the entire Los Angeles court district puts on him. But at the end of the day, he can’t force Manfred to quit, so it would have to be an on going in-work-progress to change Manfred’s perspective. Gregory would be making him take his normal pills that’s for damn sure.

Buuuuut if I’m going to be self-indulgent here, Manfred would retire. I know it’s unrealistic since this man is married to court and you could not rip court from his cold dead hands. But still, I absolutely love the idea of Manfred realizing just how fucking tired he is once he’s with Gregory, and how pointless it was to be so consumed with hating Gregory for years. And who better to settle down with than the man strong enough to best him in court. It would take some time to get used to since he hasn’t stopped working the past 40 years of his life, but eventually he’d learn to put his trust into Gregory. Greg is more than happy to do all the work so that manfred can finally relax.

Like I said I know it’s unrealistic, I’m just such a sucker for the idea of male-wife manfred, but no one has ever thought of making content for it and I’m the only one who wants it, so I’m just suffering alone with it in my head 😔

That’s basically the gist of it! I have other small unrelated miscellaneous hcs but I don’t want to make this too long and I’m running out of energy juice. I hope this was ok ;-; I love shingou but gantfred is definitely more my forte, so I can’t help but feel a little self-conscious whenever I throw out ideas for other ships.

Luxiem - a group of misfits turned phantom thieves who have shaken up society!

both shu and ike are third years, while mysta and luca are both second and first years respectively

vox is a student teacher at the same school as the rest of the boys. he is a history / language arts teacher.

the first palace was infiltrated by luca and shu

the last person to join was mysta due to his wariness of the others

they all meet up at vox's apartment since he's the only one out of the five that lived alone.

A people pleaser; despite his good intentions, he has yet to realize that others are just using the goodness of his heart to fulfill their evil tasks.

Codename: Novelist (He wants to overwrite his past failures and see a brighter tomorrow for himself)

What Triggered A Change Of Heart? : tired of being taken advantage of, ike had realized that he has to be able to think for himself - bearing witness to how cut-throat society really is and how fiends would use his kind-heartedness to their advantage, his persona had manifested as the strength needed to stand on his own two feet and his desire to become independent.

What Is His Persona?: A grotesque, hulking ball of tentacles. no one can see the middle of the creature. ike says that it's a reference to his untapped potential (mysta dismisses it as just something mysterious and didn't want to pry)

His Position: the brains of the operation. leave it to ike to help navigate and come up with creative plans to infiltrate palaces

a childish dreamer, blinded by his own ideals and has yet to be tainted by this cruel world.

Codename: Boss (He wanted to become Number. 1; actually based on an inside joke within their group as he is the one who usually lead discussions, thus leading to everyone in Luxiem calling him "Boss" or "The Big Boss")

What Triggered A Change Of Heart? : The realization that his dreams have long been crushed by the doings of a wicked adult. luca knew he was chasing nothing but a dream, yet it was what kept him going until he felt that it was time to face reality. the anger he feels over being stamped out like this and the idea that a new adventure awaits him had manifested as his persona.

What Is His Persona?: a humanoid like being with a lion's mane and strong arms. has the ability to stand on its hind legs. luca has thought about having a weight-lifting contest with his own persona (the others think it's a little absurd fighting himself since a persona is just an extension of oneself)

His Position: the brawn of the operation. being the massive ball of energy he is, leave the fighting to luca. even in dire situations where the team is surrounded by shadows, luca will find a way to break through via sheer will himself. he is also the most physically capable within the group.

A genius who wishes to be recognized past his intelligence.

What Triggered A Change Of Heart? : pushed over the edge, mysta had enough of people blindly praising his intelligence as if his other achievements were only due to the fact of his genius-disposition or of other means - he felt as if this was what trapped in his own fame (or infamy), he wanted to live freely. the manifestation of this desire revealed itself as his persona.

What Is His Persona?: a fox like creature that seems cute at first. if anything is known about mysta, it's that appearances are deceiving - despite the cuteness, mysta's persona is quite vicious and has the ability to rip apart even steel with it's teeth. mysta and his persona surprisingly get along well; his persona has the unique sentience about it and often is seen hanging off of his shoulder or hat when they are in the metaverse.

His Position: the escape artist. leave the escape to mysta, he's the only one capable of driving everyone to safety when the palace starts to crumble into nothingness (at least only one able to escape in time, the rest either don't have a license or don't have a sense of how quickly they need to escape - ike was the one who asked mysta if there were speed limits when escaping.)

The one who watches from the shadows, a witness to the everyday injustices.

Codename: Magician (Like a magician, his dexterity and adaptability in many and otherwise dire situations leave others in awe ; yet, he refuses to share how and why he knows such skills)

What Triggered A Change Of Heart? : the more shu bore witness to, the more he grew sick of it. he felt as though a bottomless pit had formed in his stomach as he watches wicked adults take advantage over the weak - and most importantly, how weak he was for hiding behind this fear, even if he had the means of helping others. his desire to see the world where the weak can live amongst the strong without cowering in fear has manifested into his persona.

What Is His Persona?: another humanoid like creature that stands on one leg. it appears to look like a shikigami with a magician's clothes. shu has tried drawing a face on his persona's paper-like face. he's surprised that it stays on sometimes.

His Position: intelligence master. from collecting data of the big bad they must face to finding who needed a change of heart within the depths of mementos, shu has it all covered. no one really knows how he gathers this much information and doesn't really want to know how either (shu says these are basic things you can find online about anyone, but none of the members want to question if he's actually telling the truth or not)

A young adult pressured by society, once an overachiever now weighted by the burden of life after high school.

Codename: Oni (The group named him Oni due to the appearance of his persona. He went along with the name because he couldn't think of a better one, plus he found it endearing how the group of his closest friends gave him the name.)

What Triggered A Change Of Heart? : vox's anger and desire to do more despite the now limited resources and time he has in comparision to an older adult, or a child. despite being an honours student, vox was hit with the sudden reality check that he can no longer do what he was once able to without being compared to others. he didn't like that at all and wanted to change that perspective once and for all.

What Is His Persona?: an oni-like creature that towered over the rest. powerful and all-mighty, yet regal and somewhat refined. vox wants to invite his persona to a tea party one day.

His Position: the guardian angel. despite his mean appearance, vox cares a lot about the members of the team and shines the brightest during desperate situations. he's the hope and the eldest brother of the bunch and he'll do anything to make sure the operation goes as smoothly as possible with little or no injury to the rest of the boys.

okay so as my roster's nova, they know damn well on how i go from "gone for literal years" to "bulldozing through every quest available within a day" — the latter being specifically when i spedrun through the liyue quest (that i've been neglecting for years now whoops) for the taste testing teapot event. yep, i have shit priorities and it shows lmao

little note that i believe the aurora bot allows the sunshines what the nova's current status is at the bare minimum unless asked for further information

if your system aurora is a menace, it would report what your current motivation is if its nova don't talk while playing — for extra ammo, it might even go full throttle by telling the sunshines even the most minute detail it can tell them i.e. if you're too busy staring at zhongli's ass and the like

moving on, so after twelve (12) hours of grinding i finally have my teapot at trust rank 4 and im just gonna bullet point it with a bit of chatbox-esque dialogue thingie:

On the topic of Sabo's scar, Imo Oda is a coward in designing characters at times.

Like, the guy BLEW up and all he get is some red skin around his eye. HE SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE AN EYE!!! And Toei makes it worse by doing their lighting tricks.

Kidd and Akanu on the other hand got full on facial and body scarring (for no reason at all in the latter's case) Akainu is a villian, and while Kidd is pretty grey he is potrayed as a blood thristy brute.

This thing were only evil and violent characters get to have actual scars while the good guys stay "pretty" feels very... abelist.

Same for the Strawhats! Nami doesn't have her shoulder scar, Luffy should be tained with marks all over his body and the same goes for Sanji and Zoro! For Sanji especially, scars could have been used as something he is very ashamed of since they show his weaknesses and his siblings don't have them. I feel like even Franky should have more...

(Also Law with his spots from the amber lead! But back in Marineford his backstory hadn't been made yet, so I'll forgive it. He should have had his bullet holes and arm scar from Doffy, tho.)

I actually just read this wonderfull fic on ao3 called "What do scars mean to you?" That explores this very concept and it just makes me wish more Oda wasn't soo keen on making his "normal" characters conventionally actractive while the only ones who are interesting are the villians and caricatures.

although i do agree that a bunch of the characters should have more scars (namely Sabo from the burns, Nami from stabbing the Arlong tattoo, and Law from getting his arm cut off) and thus understand your frustratio -, Oda is indeed very inconsistent and reserved when it comes to giving characters scars - i think this issue isn't as simple as "Oda is a coward". we need to consider both practicality and the meaning behind the character designs.

it would be a real pain in the ass to constantly draw/animate every single small scar a character might get especially if they're often reoccurring characters like the Strawhats (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji). One Piece is a fictional battle shonen manga - real life logic of how injuries affect the body do not apply here. the scars the characters sustain aren't supposed to be realistic but tell a story instead.

also, saying that Oda doesn't give his "good guys" (or as you so confusingly said: "normal" - what is that even supposed to mean? most of the characters in One Piece are some kind of weirdos and freaks (affectionate), especially the "good guys") non-conventionally attractive designs is just incorrect. yes, the conventionally-attractive-female design is an issue but that belongs in the can of warms called sexism that i won't talk about here. (i recommend MelonTeee's video on One Piece Women)

Oda isn't perfect by any means and has a some questionable tastes that are unfortunately reflected in his work but i don't think it's as black and white as you portrayed.

some last notes i have that i find unimportant to the discussion at hand but can't help but point out:

Akainu got his scars from his fight with Aokiji. i don't kunderstand why you think there's no reason for them?

calling Kid "a blood thirsty brute" is pretty surface level but i don't feel like deep diving into his character rn. it would take too much effort i'm not willing to give

rip takeoff. that news really hit me yesterday. especially to hear that he wasn’t doing anything but caught a stray bullet. It’s too sad to hear. yesterday was a lot. waking up today and asking myself “what do I want?” And “do I really want to continue doing what I’m doing?” scary questions to ask yourself when you’re on the journey of self discovery. An honest question too. The house is silent. Idk if Angie is in or not but I’d assume she isn’t. I’m not called in till the afternoon so I’m probably gonna do some work In the meantime. maybe I should do something that makes me happy. I also need money. The thought of going to central London and cycling does sound appealing I won’t lie. I might just do that but I also don’t want to tire myself out. I need NEED NEED to get back to Amy today about the counselling sessions. I don’t know if I just found new found motivation rn or if I’m just ideally thinking but either way I feel better than when I was talking about that whole self discovery stuff just above this. Death is such a sobering part of life. I’ve been looking at a few Diddy interviews, just studying his body language when he’s asked something that is quite intrusive and how the responds to it vs when other people are telling stories about moments they’ve had with him and I can’t lie something seems very predatory about this man. This is why I put above, do I really want to go into this industry in other words. sometimes to be an artist is a lonely life. It’s like the world sees you but also doesn’t see you. I think there’s changes I’ve opened myself up to (involuntarily) and I’m having a hard time accepting them as a way of life now. There are a lot of tapped individuals walking amongst us. it’s scary man. And that’s coming from a friend. It was tactless and distasteful in my opinion. She made a point though but it’s the fashion in which she made the point that was distasteful and tactless but I can’t argue that she isn’t right. It rubbed me the wrong way. All in all I just want peace. I want harmony. I want beauty. I want quality of life. Nadine did say something rather noteworthy yesterday though. She said, if you see life as a cycle, either going up or down, you know once you’re down the only way is up and you can only go up from there. I really don’t know whats happening . I just know that I don’t trust a lot of people and it’s showing with how i interact with people. In a way it feels like I’m closing up instead of opening up and it’s simply because I’m in rooms I don’t necessarily feel safe in. Things feel quite reactionary. I don’t believe I have to find the motivation to get up and do this job. This fucking degree. I’m gonna see it thru for future me but fucking hell. I don’t have the energy to act like this is fine. Probably has some debates with you over games from time to time. She isn’t a huge gamer, but she still helps with bringing up counter arguments or pointing out features that definitely add charm to them even if they aren’t necessary.

Kendo is really helpful for listing out bullets or just planning out what you’re going to say before you start making your views public to others.

Again, not a huge gamer so she might not know too much about games in certain aspects but she is still there to help give her opinions when it comes to just visuals.

But she supports you. What you do has got to be difficult because she knows some franchises have loyal fanbases and so you’re bound to get negativity no matter what review you make. So she’ll be there to support you.

Mei

Probably really into the idea of reviewing thing. Not a video game person herself, but if you get more into the technical aspect of it then she’d love to hear your opinions when you’re not recording or writing.

Has definitely talked to you quite a bit about the different systems and controllers and all the pieces in them. She has her own opinions when it comes to makes and models of some of them.

But when it comes to video games themselves, again she’s not a huge gamer, she mostly just listens when you talk of combat or how inventory is set up or things like that.

Okay but if you start talking about level design then she becomes more interested. Mei is a fan of challengers so the thought that goes behind making certain levels is very interesting to her.

Nejire

Nejire is very interested in listening to what you have to say about certain games. She’s not a hardcore gamer herself, but she does enjoy playing them still. Especially when she plays them with others even if she is bad at them.

Probably just looks at a game and goes “aw that’s cute!” or something like that so when she hears you going really in depth with some games it causes her to be in awe because wow that’s actually really thought provoking!

Of course she knows that not everyone has the same opinion on games so she is happy to talk to you about different views of some games. 

She probably likes a lot of games that you might label as “simplistic” or something and so she likes to talk about those and why they intrigue her despite their simplistic nature. 

Pony

Probably has a competitive streak when it comes to video games honestly. Like she isn’t pro gamer level, but there are some games where she absolutely crushes it.

The fact that you review games is really cool and she’s interested in listening. She’s quick to let you know if she has opposing views and the two of you have a nice little debate about it.

Pony has definitely seen hardcore views and debates over some games too which those she tends to stay out of since it’s a lot and no one is going to agree even if they are arguing the same thing.

So lots of respect to you because reviewing games is difficult especially when there’s absolutely hardcore fans that’ll rip you apart if you don’t agree with them.

Tsuyu

Definitely going to be blunt when it comes to reading your reviews. She’s not a gamer, but she’s going to point out word structures or how you phrase things if those could improve.

Has definitely mentioned your reviews to friends that she knows plays video games. Just to give you some more recognition but also to hear their takes on games and how they differ from your own.

Tsuyu has definitely told you to take a break because of how exhausting reviewing things can be. 

Not to mention, some people can be complete jerks if their opinions aren’t agreed and so she’ll definitely have you step away from those comments.

ahh thank you so much for the ask @neutronstarchild!! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond! I'm excited about this one; it has all the twisty, porny dynamics I adore playing with. It's mostly bullet points rn, but ultimately it will be an dark not-quite-love triangle, set in a gritty 'crimes and criminals' modern AU (incidentally, one of my fave types of AU, haha). Basically: SessMir is in a strained relationship, Miroku also fucks/works cons for Bankotsu's underworld crime ring. He gets into some ~~trouble with Bank and things go a bittt too far. Sess finds out, and from there we get predictably messy asf.

My fave way to write Miroku is a little bit fucked up and a lot masochistic, and this leans way into that, bc with Bankotsu around things are going to get dicey quickly imo. I wanted to take some of the feelings behind my existing SessMir and see how they play out in a darker setting. I like to think this fic could theoretically work in a similar/same or parallel universe, and/or in the universe of my other fistfight KaguKik wip! We'll see if it actually works out that way, haha. “I don’t know why you still hook up with that fucker.” Kagura’s voice is hoarse from smoking too much, and vaguely annoyed. “He rips you apart.”

“Good thing I like to be ripped into pieces sometimes, darling.” Miroku smiles innocently, adjusts the icepack on his neck and blows a stream of cigarette smoke from the side of his mouth dismissively. “Did you forget?” 

“Not like you’d let me,” Kagura snorts. She slaps a folded clip of money bills into Miroku’s outstretched other hand. “Here’s your cut from the Edo job.” 

Counting it, Miroku winces. “Naraku’s shortchanged me again, hasn’t he, love.” The cigarette in his mouth trembles, ever so slightly. “There’s three hundred less than last time here.” 

“Maybe he thinks you’re getting some extra on the side,” Kagura leans in conspiratorially, loose coat blowing in the wind sneaking like a secret down the back alley they’re in, heavy black combat boots and unwashed hair; she always looks tired, these days. “Being a slut has occasional drawbacks, you know."
