i have an amiibo card of one of my fav villagers so i can get her back

i can choose a cool name (its currently called puppytopia i mean. come on)

i can actually set it to the right bloody country (i set it to australia for some reason that i cant remember)

its a blank slate for me to work on (right now its overrun with flowers and random things that i dont need)

CONS :

ive gotten really attached to my island (ive had it since the day acnh came out) and the villagers on it so what if i regret it and dont end up getting back into acnh

there is SO MUCH to dissect in this episode but how is NOBODY talking about that moment with jaune.

no, not him joining in her breakdown or having his own but like,,,, when ruby flinches away from crescent rose, rejects her, its the Moment of Full Realization for all of them that we thought it would be.

and that includes jaune. wby had some inkling that something wasn't right before this, but haven't had a long enough moment of peace to discuss it yet.

here, ruby has a panic attack on the field. here, ruby ends up needing to be saved. here, ruby rejects crescent rose.

it's the first time that jaune really seems to notice. this is the first time that he's seeing past the joy of having his friends around, past the rigid schedule he has laid out, past the overwhelming need to get back home.

because a huntress's weapon is an extension of herself. and ruby flinching away is just so, so wrong.

jaune, who's so lost in his own bitterness and anger and trauma in that moment, is hit directly in the face with the fact that something is wrong ruby. even he can't miss it, can't look past it any longer. and yeah, he yells at her a couple minutes after this, but that moment-

I'm so mad that post was misinformation because there is actually an EXTREMELY important conversation to have about the production schedules artists are forced into. There's no need for exaggeration, the conditions are bad.

I work for webtoon. My publication schedule is weekly. While publishing I'm required 10-15 pages a week. Fully colored.

This means I'm finishing a 150 page fully colored graphic novel every 10-15 weeks.

When my comic is not updating, I am not getting paid. Any time writing, editing, or off is out of my own pocket. I don't get healthcare. They do not provide any assistants. They expect me to promote myself; they chose to deprioritize me before I even launched and gave me an end date half a year in. I never had a chance.

And this is the industry standard! Every company has artists forced into crunch hours, overtime, and burnout. Artists are literally dying early due to it. So many of my friends can't afford to go to the doctor.

It's unsustainable and untenable, and it's also the expectation our audiences have.

If we want to have this conversation, there's plenty of conversation to be had with the realities of the situation. It's bad as is.
