hi can I just say you seeing itsuomi as bi-coded is so big brained . we love bi itsuomi in this household <3 you're right and you SHOULD say it

All my current fav anime guys have had a Bisexual tone to them, it's only a given (just look at Fakir from Princess Tutu and Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket and Ryuuji Takasu from Toradora and-----).

But what sets Itsuomi so much from them all is not just how open he is about complimenting and joking with the people around him, it's that he is also so so so active about talking things out and starting up a conversation. He doesn't want any misgivings or misunderstanding, the man WANTS to communicate because he's always wanted to reach out to people and to understand them and likewise have them understand him when the topics arise.

Itsuomi is not only Bi and Acespec coded he is also SO open-minded and a natural at genuine human connection. He travels not just to help the people around him but to also understand them as well and he doesn't shy away from starting up a conversation with them.

Wow! You guys really appreciated my first post about Logan's backstory/lore and I'm grateful for all of your feedback!! Here's the link to part 1 if you're interested :)

I'm so happy to see all the love he's getting, its actually surreal to be a part of this fandom again and seeing all the new Wolverine content! The fanart and fanfics are literally my life-source rn. You don't even wanna know what my tiktok saved folder looks like....

You guys asked for more so here is part 2! It's not as organized as the first part, apologies. I'm using both the movies and comics here. Some stuff isn't confirmed but generally accepted in the mcu.

Wolverine first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #180. He was supposed to be a mutated human/animal but the idea was later scrapped.

He was approx. 197 years old when he died in the movie 'Logan'

There's multiple different deaths in the comics but I wont get into that.

Logan is 5'3"- 5'5" (short king)

He has black hair and blue eyes

Before the adamantium, he weighed 196lbs (88kg). After the binding he was 300lbs (136kg)

His body is poisoned by the adamantium metal as it breaks down over time. Requiring him to be in a constant state of regeneration, which begins to slow down as he ages.

Without the metal he probably could have lived a lot longer.

Logan has a fear of water, or rather, drowning. It’s one of the only times can’t regenerate. It would cause his death.

The Weapon X program is also responsible for this fear since he was submerged under water for a long period of time for the binding.

The metal in his body also makes him so heavy it would be very difficult for him to swim.

In the comics Logan temporarily loses his healing factor due to a virus created by Dr. Abraham Cornelius. (Weapon X scientist) This event leaves him vulnerable for the first time in his life, forcing him to confront the reality of his mortality.

His healing ability greatly affects his mental state. Logan can quickly recover from physical damage, but he still feels all the pain. His ability to cope and endure despite the overwhelming suffering is central to his character.

Logan has an acute sense of smell. He can track people and objects across a great distance. It’s so precise that he can identify people’s emotional states such as fear or anger. Even when someone is lying.

Logan was sensitive, shy, and timid as a child.

The first person he ever killed was his biological father.

After killing his father he ran away from home with his friend Rose. (a hired companion to help care for him when he was young). Unfortunately, Logan accidently killed her during a fight.

Logan speaks several languages, due to his extensive life and travels. He speaks English, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Cheyenne and Lakota.

He’s actually an incredibly smart guy, don’t let him fool you.

Despite his love for alcohol, Logan’s healing factor makes it nearly impossible for him to get drunk.

Logan brews his own beer in the Origins comics. (we love a domestic husband)

On Logan’s birthday every year, Sabretooth seeks him out just to beat him up as a twisted "gift." Sabretooth calls this tradition "birthday beatings."

Spider-Man and Wolverine have teamed up a few times in the comics and they are a hilarious pair.

Logan's "berserker rage" is not just a result of his animalistic mutant powers. But stems from his deep psychological trauma. This side of him only emerges when he is pushed into extreme emotional or physical stress.

At one point before he escaped the Weapon X experiment, he was hired to kill Charles Xavier.

Logan's wife Itsu and son Daken were allegedly killed by the Winter Soldier, however it was later revealed that his son actually lived and had been consumed by hatred for his father. Logan was forced to kill his own son before he could cause more harm.

This act is one of, if not the most painful moment in Logan’s life, as it represents his ultimate failure as a father.

Logan blames himself for Jean Grey’s death.

He lived a majority of his life without his memories. Having no idea who he actually is.

Despite his involvement with the X-Men and his many close relationships he often feels like an outsider. Like he doesn’t belong anywhere. He isolates himself because loneliness is a familiar feeling.

Logan prefers the solitude and sanctity of nature. He loves the outdoors and has a lot of respect for the natural world. Often retreating into the wild for his own peace.

In one comic he baby sits Luke Cage and Jessica Jones daughter. Danielle Cage.

He can be quite playful at times with the younger mutants. For example, building a snowman with Jubilee.

Logan dreams of a normal life. He dreams of having a family with a wife and children and leaving the violence behind.

We all know what Orochimaru and Kabuto found in 'the Forest of Death':

• Sasuke creating a long password that Naruto cannot remember to lure the enemy out.

• When he was with his other teammate (Sakura) he didn't give up the scroll even though he ran away in fear. But when Naruto shows up he willingly gives up the scroll.

• Sasuke began to fight Orochimaru without fear of death even though he knew he could not defeat him.

• Kabuto found that Sasuke was overusing the Sharingan even to the point of enduring the pain of the cursed seal to protect Naruto.

• They both confirmed Naruto was changing Sasuke's heart

I find it really interesting the way Kabuto talked to Naruto the two times they met in the second part .

“SASUKE-KUN CAME TO US OF HIS OWN FREE WILL. IT'S ABOUT TIME YOU GOT OVER IT. GOING ON LIKE THAT IS HARDLY BEHAVING AS A MAN...”

From the tone of Kabuto's speech I think he is mocking and criticizing Naruto. This phrase often uses to a person who can't get over a breakup lol. 「男のくせに未練たらしいね」 has a nuance that make fun of the man. And this expression also contains the Japanese view of men many years ago that is, "men should always be strong ".

The expression used by Kabuto is 引きずりすぎだ (hikizurisugida). 引きずる (hikizuru) can be interpreted in two ways.

① 引きずる refers to the state of being stuck in sad and painful memories and being unable to escape from the sadness. Those (some kind of) feeling continues for a long time after it has ended.

② 引きずる is the same as ``dragging the hem'' when the hem of a long dress touches the floor and moves, and is also used when things drag on without being resolved. 引きずる - to drag, to pull, to prolong, to extend

e. g: (終わった) 恋を引きずる いつまでも別れた恋人を忘れられない。

(owatta) koi wo hikizuru itsu made mo wakareta koibito wo wasurerarenai.

(It's over) He still can't forget his ex-lover.

The sentence implies that he can't get over it and has a mental illness after breaking up with his ex. He misses his ex a lot.

「〜すぎた」 means ``〜sugi (too much),'' and it depends on the ``heart.'' It means that a certain state is very strong or intense. In other words, the 引きずる state is very strong and intense.

引きずりすぎた -> which means that the unforgettable period was too long. 引きずりすぎだ。is a statement. だ means “It is”. It is another form of です。

So the phrase 「引きずりすぎだ」 kabuto uses means : "you can't get over (a breakup with) someone, you can't forget about that person, or you're still thinking about that person". It's probably because you can't forget about that person even after it ended, in the old way of thinking, such an attitude or behavior was considered 女々しい (Memeshī). The word "unmanly" is a corresponding word in English for 女々しい. It is because of the society's stereotypes that “men should be manly”. It is often said in Japan that men tend to hold on to their pasts more than women.

The term 「女々しい」 is usually used for a man. 女々しい is an independent word, and it can have several meanings depending on the context and situations.

女々しい meanings include:

• mentally too weak

• lacking courage

• 未練がましい (mirengamashī) - someone who cannot give up something and it never leaves their mind. "Too obsessive".

• 未練たらしい (mirentarashī) - bad at taking things too far; bad at giving up; too attached to something in the past and not moving on to the next thing.

• overly sensitive male - (Depending on the context and the speaker's intention)

For example:

1. A person unexpectedly meets his ex-girlfriend on the street. His heart skipped a beat when he made eye contact with the other person. He fantasized about what the other person was thinking, but when he thought about it calmly, he realized that he was an idiot. There's no way the other person is wondering if they can meet again. And he says: “I think that men and women have different views on love, but I guess, the word 女々しい is a word made for men...I feel miserable for being 引きずられる- drag down by past relationships. I can't let go as women do. It's disgusting... I'm sure women would be put off”

-> what he saying is that his ex- girlfriend get over him and he still can't let go of his feelings for her. And he hate that part of himself. This behavior of his will drive other women away from him.

-> The speaker probably infers that the reason he speaks ill about his ex-girlfriend is because he is still thinking about her. Therefore, the speaker considers his attitude to be 未練がましい (mirengamashī) , and uses the word 「女々しい」 to describe it.

Generally speaking, never heard of the idea that ``women are mirengamashī'' , so it is unclear why the word 「女々しい」 has the meaning of 「未練がましい」. However, maybe this happens from the stereotype that “Men should live with integrity and a positive attitude without worrying about small things” , and that this led to 「男らしくない = otokorashikunai = unmanly」 to 「女々しい」

The example below is another type of stereotype:

👨 : 君は甘いものを食べすぎてい る 。 女みたいだ。 = kun wa amai mono wo tabesugiteiru . onna mitaida = You eat too many sweets. you behave like a woman.

👨: 好きにさせてくれ。 = suki ni sasetekure = Let me do what I want.

This representation reflects gender-based stereotypes. This sentence has the implication that liking sweets is seen as a feminine characteristic, and that men are being criticized for such behavior. This word has the following connotations:

1. The stereotype that liking sweets is a feminine trait. 2. The idea that men should not eat too many sweets. 3. The speaker judges the other person's behavior to be feminine and evaluates it negatively. However, this expression contains gender-based bias and is considered inappropriate in modern society. Food preferences are personal preferences and have nothing to do with gender. Let's break it down what Kabuto says:-

男のくせに = otoko no kuseni = even though you are a man; for a man; as a man; despite being a man.

男のくせに is pointing out or criticizing that "it is not manly'' (= `` lacks the qualities that are desirable in a man" or ``That is not the behavior expected of a man''). Furthermore, these points and criticisms are based only on the opinion of Kabuto who said, ``even though you are a man,'' (referred to as his ``view of men'').

They would make fun of me by saying "Be a man."

4. 他人の悪口をかげで言うのは男らしくない。

tanin no waruguchi wo kage de iu no wa otokorashikunai.

未練たらしいね = miren tarashīne = "It is unpleasant to see that you can't give him up." Or "It's disgusting that you can't let him go." Here, 「未練」 means "a regret," "lingering affection", "attachment," "persistence," etc., and 「たらしい」 in 「未練 たらしい」 implies that Kabuto finds it displeasing. たらしい (tarashī) is an expression of something that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Overall what Kabuto said have the following connotation:

1. 女々しい (memashī)

2. A man should always be strong.

Men are criticized for such behavior. And Kabuto is judging Naruto's behavior and evaluates it negatively. [And in Japan, there is a tendency to think that it's lame for men to dwell on the past.]

So, Kabuto is criticizing Naruto. And I also think he's mocking him too.

This typically conveys a feeling of sarcasm and criticism. 相変わらず can only be used for comparisons of “past “ and “now” of one thing. フッ is an onomatopoeic expression for sneering.

Sirens rang through Reigens mind as he stared blankly at the wall before him. The smell of burnt wood and ash stained his nose, and his chest heaved heavily. 

The sound of discomfort wailed from the small child against his chest, snot-filled cries filling the silence. Reigen peered down at the child - Ritsu - lightly hushing him in hopes of comforting him. Ritsu stirred as he cried, his ash-covered face scrunched. Tears ran down his cheeks, leaving streaks through the muddied mess. Reigen's mouth pulled down into a frown, noting the small blisters forming on Ritsu’s cheeks and hands. 

Beside him, another child sat, leaning against Reigen as he watched out the window. Unlike Ritsu, he had not cried once since they arrived at Reigen’s small apartment. Shigeo was older, though, by only a year. He had as much reason to cry as his brother did, but he didn’t. 

Instead, he sat quietly, his face equally blistered and ash-covered, and watched the visible stars move slowly. 

Reigen didn’t know what to make of the situation. It was only a few days prior that he sat at the Kageyama’s table, laughing and carrying on. Then he got the call; he didn’t even remember getting into his car. The sight of the house - the home they had welcomed him into - in flames. He remembered briefly having Ritsu placed into his arms as Shigeo stood by him, his eyes glued to the street. His trembling hand holding onto his sleeve. The relief that flooded him knowing they were okay was beat by the dread of knowing that their parents weren’t. 

After a ride in an ambulance and a day at the hospital later, they were deemed okay to leave. He was told they weren’t in the house long after the fire started. Burn cream was applied to their faces and arms, but other than that they were healthy. 

Just apply the cream daily until the blisters are gone. He could do that.

Right. 

Now he was in charge of two kids when he barely could take care of himself; and as much as that feeling overwhelmed him, he knew he had to pull through. He was, at the moment, the only one the boys had. 

“Reigen..?” Shigeo called, his voice small just like the rest of him. He faced up at him, he looked tired. 

“Yeah, kiddo?” Reigen’s voice cracked but he couldn’t find it in himself to care. Shigeo rubbed one of his eyes with the back of his hand. 

“Can I take a bath?” 

“Of course, will you watch your brother while I run the water?” He asked as he shifted to stand. He placed Ritsu in Shigeo’s awaiting arms, the younger boy had fallen asleep and only stirred at the movement.

“I’ll be right back.” He said, watching Shigeo nod slightly. He made his way to the bathroom, the tile cold against his sock-covered feet. Turning the faucet on, he plugged the tub and watched the water pour for a moment. 

Returning to the living room, he noticed Shigeo humming and rocking Ritsu in his arms. It was sickly sweet to watch, it made his chest tighten uncomfortably. 

“The bath should be ready soon.” He told Shigeo as he seated himself in front of the boy. 

Shigeo looked up at him, his eyes barely staying open as he offered a small smile. 

“‘itsu’s bein’ fussy,” Shigeo said, his voice just above a whisper. “‘e’s tired, like me.” 

“Yeah? You ready to go to bed soon?” Reigen asked and was met with a yawn in response. He laughed. “If you want, we can go out and get some Mobdonalds in the morning. How does that sound?” 

Shigeo hummed, too tired for words. Reigen smiled and stood up once again. He reached down and offered to take Ritsu. Shigeo allowed his brother to be scooped up and accepted the hand that was extended to him afterward. Ritsu awoke again, whining only a little as they made their way to the bathroom.

After a lot of bubbles and gentle scrubbing, they were finally ash-free. Their blisters thankfully were healing quickly, especially only after such a short amount of time. 

Reigen got them dressed for bed and soon they fell asleep beside him on his bed. Unfortunately for him, sleep didn’t come anytime soon. He spent his time staring at his ceiling; thinking of how his future was going to look from now on.

basically, in short, The Kageyama house fire? yeah it happens and the kageparents don't survive, and Reigen, who the Kageparents had known since he was 14, is now Ritsu and Shigeos guardian. An older brother of sorts.

Reigen is 20, Shigeo is 4 and Ritsu is 2, going on 3.

An oushi episode finally. About time we got to see his inner thoughts and what makes him tick

First, some more cute Itsuomi and Yuuki moments. “Don’t get so nervous when we’re cuddling” The way Itsuomi holds her hand and kisses her to make her feel at ease 😩. It’s gonna take a while for her to settle in to the relationship so respect to Itsu for taking things slow and making sure she’s comfortable, prioritising her feelings over his desires, opposite of Oushi.

Shin got some good advice from Kyouya. Time to put your feelings first and let Emma know how you feel. She’s fighting a losing battle with Itsuomi anyway. Hopefully he finds his happiness soon, such a kind and genuine guy for not interfering with her crush on Itsuomi for all these years.

And the moment we’ve been waiting for, Itsuomi and Oushi first meeting since Itsu and Yuuki became a couple. “Can we skip all this bullshit” lmaoooo Itsuomi cooked his dumbass. Then, seeing Itsu getting spoken to by everyone on campus had to make Oushi feel even worse. How he gonna get mad after HE approached Itsuomi tho??

Inviting Oushi out for drinks and trying to get to know him outside of his crush on Yuuki was a very mature decision by Itsuomi. Most people wouldn’t handle that nearly as well. “If you Know yourself and your enemy, you have nothing to fear” and all that jazz.

It’s interesting that Yuuki is still this little girl who’s kind of isolated from the world and needs protecting in Oushi’s mind. Sign language was a way for him to feel special because he was one of the only people who could communicate with her. Like he said, it was their “own secret code” seeing Itsuomi come in so quickly and sweep her off her feet and learn it has to cut deep, but in reality his motivations are shallow and selfish. He wants Yuuki to stay in a little bubble rather than grow.

“It wouldn’t matter when or where we met if fall for and choose Yuki anytime” Yea, hate to say it ,Oushi, but it’s over. Let it go lmao

Bad Boy: No one calls Levi "IT".

I wanted to comment on something that I've seen these days in some meta posts of Bad Boy, but I haven't had the time till now to check the font to confirm my impressions and, you know, argue with receipts.

No one calls Levi "IT".

I also must say, the posts authors are without fault. The "it" in the (rushed, fan-made) English translation is either a mistake (I suspect machine translation might be involved) or a very unfortunate choice of words if translated manually.

You see, there is no "it" in Japanese. There is “this” and “that”, but no “it”.

The word the criminals use is “こいつ” [koitsu] which is a derisive term to refer to a person. Depending on context, it could be translated as “this guy”, “this dude”, “the SOB”, “ that MF”… you get the idea.

If you watch subbed anime, you’ll hear koitsu* all the time in shounen where guys are or want to appear tough – especially since, much like in English, such terms can be used insultingly, informally, or even as a term of endearment between very close people (as in “This mf and I have been bffs since kindergarten!”). Those guys likely use koitsu on a daily basis. I don’t have all the raws handy and neither have the time to go through them, but for instance, Hannes calls Eren koitsu in chapter 1 when he ponders about the kid’s wish to join the SC; and Connie calls Jean this when he “blames” him for his joining the SC in chapter 3.

There are worse ways to call people, and Levi himself uses a wide range of them throughout the main manga.

More importantly, although koitsu can be used for inanimate objects, this use is rather an endearing form in familiar settings. What’s important to note is that koitsu is not the Japanese “it” equivalent by any means and, therefore, it does not carry the dehumanizing undertone that calling a person “it” in English has.

Depending on context (and Japanese is a highly contextual language) it can range from very informal to plain derogatory, but it is absolutely not akin to call a person an object. Calling someone koitsu in the wrong context wouldn’t make them go “omg they’re dehumanizing me”, but rather “omg they called me something very rude.”

Of course this doesn’t mean the criminals in Bad Boy are any less perverse, but I think a clarification of this (I want to believe, honest) mistranslation is important for two reasons: one, to provide an accurate analysis so as not to atribute the characters, or the author, an intent that isn’t there; and two, to not give the haters an excuses to dismiss or disparage a whole meta post because of one incorrect piece of data.

*I’m using only koitsu throughout the text for simplicity’s sake but you’ll also see/hear the equivalent terms soitsu/aitsu/yatsu, which are basically the same, the only difference being the itsu in relation to the speaker: this mf, that mf, that mf over there... You also have doitsu as the interrogative form (which mf?).

Goro and Akiren's names meaning

So, I've been going through a website for Japanese baby names with their written Kanji meanings too, for a future Akeshu post. and this also required me to visit the Megami Tensei Wiki of our boys to look at what their names mean and---

Akiren and Goro's parents had very different thought processes of importance when naming their newborns and it shows.

(no offense to any Japanese born with the name Goro, spelt with the same Kanji as P5's Goro, I just find this funny. This is purely making fun of a fictional character)

If you're on team Ren Amamiya for P5 Protagonist's name. You already probably know "Amamiya" means "Rain Palace". But what about "Ren"?

The Amamiya's named their son "蓮/Ren", which means "Lotus".

A Lotus flower is a symbol of purity, or "Strength, Resilience, or Rebirth".

For team "Akira Kurusu"

Kurusu means "Chestnut Grove". "Su" = "Nest" or "Grove", "Kuru" = "to come"

"Akira" spelt like this 暁

Means: "Daybreak" or "Dawn", or any form of "bright"

hey, maybe the Kurusu"s named their son after the time he was born.

The Surname 明智/Akechi (apparently read as "Meichi"??), is an uncommon spelling and means "Wisdom and Sagacity"

Depending on what text characters you use, "Go" can mean "five" or "I, my, me, myself".

"Ro" means "Son, or Young Man"

the Kanjis for Goro"s name is indeed 吾郎

吾/Go = I, My, Me, Myself

郎/Ro = Son, Young Man.

MamaKechi really just named her newborn "My Son".

Alternate spelling with a diffferent "Go" Kanji, isn't any better

五 and 伍 = Go (the characters can also be read as Itsu-tsu, or Kumi) translate as "Five", so alternatively he would be named "Fifth Son", which wouldn't make too much sense on Mother's part because Goro is an only child on her side.

On Shido's end though, given his interaction with Women, who knows how many One Night Stand or One Sided Encounters that ended in children being born he's had at this point. Goro could be "Unintentional Half Child" number 5 or higher for all we know. But MamaKechi wouldn't know that.

Point is, why is the P5 fandom only roasting this man for his infamous "Delicious Pancakes" screw up, but not taking advantage of the endless potential of his first name meaning "My Son"?

Red, brown and bluish-black hairs emerged from a corner and their eyes immediately fell on the gazebo. There they saw the silhouette of the girl sitting on the bench in the middle of the gazebo.

Otoya's reddish-orange eyes stared lovingly at [Y/n]'s silhouette from the distance, listening attentively to her angelic voice. As for Tokiya, he was entranced by the girl's harmony with his blue eyes dilated wide in surprise. Though a small smile soon tugged his lips.
