i dont think zoro necessarily wants to kill him, he wants to beat him but that doesnt necessitate killing people. zoro actually rarely kills his opponents that we know of (but then in generall one piece doesnt have a lot of on screen character death i think one of the only few confirmed kills by the straw hats is arlong) like hachi survived, mr one survived, wyper survived, kaku, hody, monet, pika, king all survived their match with zoro. i think at this point the only confirmed kill is the former mr seven prior to canon.

honestly kind of funny to think about zoro having such a ruthless reputation and then we know he killed like, one guy lol (it was probably more and he doesnt seem to have objections to killing in general unless its women and children but you get my point)

so i think to zoro the goal is beating mihawk in an honorable battle to fullfill his promise to kuina.

mihawk i think is bored as all hell. like he's the greatest swords man, he has his own island, he's a warlord so not even the marines touch him (pr time skip) there is no challenge to him, barely anyone even dares to until zoro and even if their fight is ridiculously one sided zoro's tenacity impresses him

like its fucking lonely and boring at the top or how that saying goes. mihawk and zoro are both very alike in sentiment and their sense of honor, standard swordsman stuff. so i think mihawk was pretty happy to find an equal in that regard already even if zoro couldnt beat him yet. he's investing in zoros future and his own in a way

like zoro dropped on his island out of thin air, injured and close to death and he took him in

mihawk giving his energy, tried to help him and seeing “oh okay you just gonna get yourself killed”.

when zoro comes back to ask for his teaching

he has high expectations for zoro and demands him to meet them (similarly to how zoro holds the crew to his own high standards) so i can see the where the stern parent angle comes from

but mihawk also has the experience to read zoro really well. i think before this point he thought zoro was doing it largely for himself, his own ambition. but here with their second meeting "its always for the sake of another". in their first fight zoro said he needs to beat mihawk because of "a promise to a friend" and here zoro does everything to get back to his crew.

i find it noteworthy that mihawk insists zoro recover before they start training, probably knowing full well zoro wouldn't allow himself on his own accord. makes me think of the whole "help yourself before you help others" something mihawk knows but zoro still struggles with.

we dont know too much about mihawk, why his running around alone without a crew or how he got to be so strong but again to me he reads as very lonely due to his powress and he kind of wants zoro to defeat him. not just bc for both of them it would be a good fight but also bc then he could "retire" so to speak.

ive mentioned it before but i dont think zoro will know what to do with himself once he beat mihawk and at this point on canon its definitely taken second place to seeing luffy become pirate king so it can go a few ways. i can almost see them not having a direct battle but maybe mihawk falling to an elder and zoro then beating that elder but we’ll see

it would be interesting to see how thatll go down

this is the fifth time in this week you're seeing his drink on your table, you seriously do not understand what he wants with you, the first thing you hate about taehyung is how unserious he is, and now you've had enough because there is no way his new secretary has been misplacing his drinks five times in a row.

“fuck him” you mutter as you stand up, grab his stupid latte and head to his office with an annoyed face, dashing to his room without knocking but to only find an empty room.

you place his drink on his table, the urge to pour it on his stupidly handsome face is strong but he's nowhere to be seen. as you turn around to leave, that deep voice of his echoes “waiting for me?”

and the second thing you hate about taehyung? his voice, you hate how it always gets a reaction out of you.

with a sour look on your face you basically shout at him “why the fuck is your drink always on my table? and no do not give me that excuse” your raise a finger up to his face stopping him from blaming his secretary.

“no reason” taehyung answers, a taunting smirk playing over his lips. two long strides and now he's close enough to you that you can feel the warmth of his breath. taking a step back, cautiously, your back hits his desk and you do all your best not to look at his lips as your eyes meet his.

“youre so fucking childish” you whisper, eyebrows furrowed in frustration. contrary to your anger, he seems too calm, his eyes skimming over your face.

“am i now? i’m not the one complaining first thing in the morning, baby” he replies, head tilting. taehyung loves this so much, he loves how you react to each word of his, you're an open book and it makes things so much easier for him. 

There is barely space between your bodies and if anybody outside the room was seeing this right now, it wouldn't end well. You place a hand over his broad chest pushing him away, finally having space to breath as you turn back to look at him “one more time i see your drink on my table i will not be hesitating to pour it over you and i'm sure your white shirt would love that” to that taehyung can only nod in a mocking way as you exit his room.

and the third thing you hate about taehyung? you sleep with him way too often.

what courtney love means to me, and why shes so important to me:

courtney has always stood for the exact opposite of what she's supposed to.

im gonna be really fucking vulnerable in this post and talk about what courtney means to me, why shes such an important figure in my life, and why i just feel like she gets me. tws here: suicide, self-harm, abuse, sexual abuse, sexual assault, mental abuse. brief mentions, nothing in depth.

i endured some fucked up shit as a kid, stuff i wouldnt wish upon my worst enemy. ive watched my mother try to kill herself. i got the shit beat out of me as a kid, i watched my mom get the shit beat out of her, i was sexually assaulted.

when i found hole, early this year, i had just got out of one of the worst relationships ever. i needed a change, and i needed it fast. i told myself i wasn't going to be walked all over anymore. i told myself i was done putting up a front of being nice and sweet, because deep down i knew i wasnt.

i discovered hole, i started deep diving on courtney because then the only reason i knew about her was because of kurt. and i fell in love.

i finally realized my potential. i started sticking my for myself more, when back then i only stood up for others. i started to realize that i liked being a bitch. i enjoyed making everyone else fucking uncomfortable because i was loud and i took up space and i stood up for myself and others.

courtney inspired me so much that i started writing songs again. at the time i hadnt written songs since i was a kid, like. a LITTLE kid. but i started writing again.

ive written two songs inspired by courtney or hole songs. one is inspired by softer, softest and its titled wood. its about my childhood, and its about childhood abuse. specifically being whipped with a paddle. a repeating line in it is "pee girl gets the wood" because every time my disability caused me to wet the bed, i would get paddled.

another is about courtney and how she inspired me, how i interpreted the song babydoll to be about girl that courtney couldnt stand because she put up a nice girl front, and how i was sick and fucking tired of being babydoll. i was fucking done with being babydoll. i used to be quiet, i used to just go along with everything everyone did. but not anymore. i am not going to be babydoll once again, i will forever be the violent bitch i am now.

one of the lines in it refrences the "i want every girl in the world to pick up a guitar and start screaming" quote, saying "courtney i listned to you/i picked up a guitar and now im screaming/i wish you could tell me where to go/i dont know where to go from here."

i relate to courtney on so many levels. she gets me. i almost lost one of my (now ex) boyfriends to suicide last year, i still wet the bed because of my disability, and i was the pee girl. i was the girl that smelled like piss every fucking day. i have an awful mother, my dad was never there.

courtney taught me how to be a fucking bitch and every day i become more and more thankful for her. courtney love taught me how to say no. courtney love is for the girls with violent moodswings. courtney love taught me how to love the dark parts of myself. courtney taught me how to hold my own hand, she taught me how to put on my best sunday dress and walk proudly through all my messes.

you can be a disaster and be beautiful. you will walk through flames with your head held high. you will live through this too, you have to. prove everyone wrong, not right. dont give up on yourself, be a fucking bitch.

It was around midday when Jess was waiting for the band to show up, it was peaceful until she had heard a large amount of footsteps running to the studio, "That better be them, finally showing up" she says letting out an agitated groan. As the door harshly slams open, there before her stand the men from the sleaziest band "Hey darlin' hope you weren't waiting on us" states Nikki while wearing his smirk. "What fucking took you guys so long to get here?" replies Jess with her brows furrowed, "It doesn't matter, sweets" grins Tommy "at least we actually showed up" he says as they all sit down.

"Yeah, i guess i can't go asking too much, can I?" she says while leaning back in her chair, "Say, Jess" asks Tommy while not breaking eye contact with their manager, "what is it T-bone, what could you possible have to ask now" she responds while the others chuckle. "What is your accent? it sounds familar, and ive been thinking about it for a while" he mumbles the last part and places his hand on his face, "Yeah, what is it, where exactly are you from" asks Vince.

"I thought my accent would have been a dead give away" she says while looking around the room, "so, where ya from, pretty lady" asks Nikki as they all intently stare at her. "I'm australian, im from australia. i lived there until i was about 19" she states calmly "You! Are australian??" they ask in disbelief as she nods to confirm their question. "I am indeed" she murmurs while swiveling in her chair. "Now that its out of the way, can we focus on why you guys are here in the first place?" she asks, sighing. "How come you didn't tell us?" asks Vince as a scoots over to her "didn't think it was important" she responds as her accent becomes more prominent.

"And no, i will not be saying certain things" she states resulting in Tommy pouting, and the rest of the band to snicker at him. "Not right now at least, maybe after this" she states, grinning.

Not a vent’ asking a question. Out of genuine curiosity do you actually like Terraliens as a species? A majority of CS vent blogs seemingly want the species to die or fail as an end result.

Isn’t the whole point of vent blogs to give people a space to actively point out problems to make the community better as a whole. Reblog to make it die faster or run out of the community feels conflicting to what the blog is actually supposed to achieve. Do you want it to get better? It seems like you do. Or are you actually hoping it gets worse to increase engagement.

this is a loaded question for me at the moment haha

personally, ive been in terras since april 2023, so basically since the start. ive seen every controversy pretty much first hand, was an avid reader of the terra blogs previous to mine, and terras was the first species i put my whole heart in and tried to interact with the community in. initially i really wanted the species to get better, when they had the suggestion threads i was an avid poster

then over and over again mods just kept failing in the simplest of ways. this blog was made february of 2024, a few months after the first psa and ownership change. i still thought terras could be good but there were just too many blockers, esp from coy and civ after learning some behind the scenes info from the psa

then the Reckoning came and i hoped it really would go down, if only that meant making the species totally open

when tycho became owner i really was hopeful considering the facts that previous mods completely disavowed vent blogs like mine, but shortly before he became owner tycho reached out to ask my thoughts on stuff around the species (you can see that in my post about The Reckoning), when the species fell in his lap i honestly thought there was going to be big change. for a while there was, like new assets in the item channels, feedback forms, etc. but then there were also the nagging issues that never went away from before, like hiring friends for staff, weird unspoken rules, and a horrible approval process

for the past few days ive been thinking, man this really doesnt seem like its worth it. the same issues are starting to pop up again, and the mods currently just twist and turn making up their justifications for moving the goalpost. i dont like a lot of the new designs, dont really have any myos i want to make, and im not pulled in by the new events.

my end goal initially when making this blog was that i wanted terras to get better and make the easy changes everyone wanted, but now i think the better course of action would be for it to die. make it an open species and just let people run with it, because over the 2 and a half years of this species there has never once been such an attitude of unity and happiness among terra community than on that one night in april where the species WAS open.

honestly? im days away from voiding all my terras and fucking all the way off (ill still stay in the server though, i couldnt imagine anyone else running this blog and i think its become a necessary place for everyone. i imagine there would be at least some outcry if i were to shut it down, lol). once i finish my current obligations, im trading all my shit. its exhausting to have been doing this back and forth for improvement for over 2 years now, and its just so much more effort than its worth when i could be putting my whole heart into other up-and-coming projects. it hurts when a thing you really loved and found happiness in just has too many glaring issues to ignore

i think its a bad look when most of your oldest members who have been there since near day 1 decide this shit isnt worth it anymore and want to be done with it. its a bad look when someone who cared so much to make full essays about this species on an entire blog dedicated to it decides that its just not worth trying to "fix" anymore.

and i kind of hope a lot of other members come to that same conclusion and cause it to die.

People aren’t obligated to reblog your fanfics if they don’t enjoy the writing. You don’t get as much attention because you’re not as known. You haven’t been publishing as long as the “big authors” you pretend to love but then bash them immediately afterwards. It sucks, but you can’t buy people’s affection. You pretend to be more humble than everyone else but then get pissed so easily because you don’t have bragging rights.

i never said everyone has to enjoy my writing. also the Thing is; these big authors have been publishing for longer yeah !! and their writing is absolutely marvelous and i genuinely adore them. but. they also are popular bc they're seen as Better than other creators and put on a pedestal. which is both uncomfortable for them and Highly discouraging for others. and this is due to a cliquey mindset. it Is. as much as u like to pretend it isn't, it rlly rlly is. people can be just friends. there is nothing wrong with supporting ur friends' work more or being more invested in ur friends' work. the problem lies in the fact that many people just disregard other rlly talented creators in favor of the already popular ones (who are popular for a reason. their art / fics / wtv Are really good and i read their stuff too! not trying to put them down here, just trying to lift other people up) which makes for a fandom that is going to die out. and dont u fucking dare bring my fics and my engagement and me into this. maybe i was petty abt that before and i acknowledge that. but i haven't made a single post abt how my fics are getting less engagement in Months. the post i did make and the one ur probably so butthurt abt wasn't even initially abt cliques. it was just saying that we need to rb more and be more vocal of our support of creators in the tags or - wherever. NOT underrated / underappreciated / smaller / less popular creators. i was Very general abt it. creators. period. the talk of cliques came into play when i peer reviewed someone's tags on that post. bc they were extremely real and the problem of less vocal support affects "popular" creators too! ive been noticing that they're also getting less engagement. but mostly the people affected by it are creators in the fandom with no prior popularity. and it is an actual issue. also when the actual fuck have i ever bought someone's affection?? im too broke for that, my dude, i struggle to pay rent most months. and i've Not acted humble or holier than thou. the reason i have so many moots and friends is bc im a genuinely nice person who wants to support and uplift EVERYONE in this fandom. i do have personal beef with people, but im civil to Everyone. thats the reason i have friends. unlike you, i dont send anon hate bc im butthurt over one (1) post <3 hope that fucking helps <3 also the post wasnt even abt ME. bc i genuinely dont give a fuck abt people seeing and liking my writing anymore bc i have Grown Past That and just... adopted a give no fucks mindset. the post was abt the fandom slacking and not appreciating creators (PERIOD.) enough. it was never abt me. also bragging rights? babe nobody's bragging abt how they get more interaction. that's rude asf and entirely out of the question. and those popular writers ur talking abt who Could brag if they wanted to DON'T. bc they aren't despicable human beings who love to put others down. i'm Friends, or at the very least, friendly moots w the writers ur talking abt. and im not trying to put them down. im trying to lift other people up, which is smth u just Don't understand apparently. i even contributed in a whole ass event to shine light on talented, less popular writers in the fandom. bylerficrecweek? u might ive heard of it. it helped, or i like to Think it did, with helping people branch out, but the problem wasn't completely solved. people who are equally as talented as the already popular creators have talked abt their experience with engagement in the exact same post that ur so pissed abt. im going to put tags from various people under the cut so that u can see exactly how much people are affected by the prominent clique problem in the byler fandom. hope u have a good day and u wanna kiss me so bad it makes u look stupid 😚
