gakuto recognising that yuushi isn’t cool/hasn’t shut off his emotions despite the fact that his face and voice are barely any different than usual lol

the fact that they both have the same Spot(tm) (a la golden pair’s shipping container, such a married couple thing)

gakuto reaching out to the grouchy new transfer student 

the moment when chibi yuushi falls in love 

yuushi putting aside his cool/strategic tennis for the sake of gakuto’s dream

(and you all know how i feel about the impulsive/emotional dreamer and the cool-headed partner who puts aside reason to spoil/indulge them combination)

Yukimura ↪ Yukimura might have a pretty face, but he’s terrifying when he needs to be (and even when he doesn’t need to be, because people who know him know how he can get). His outward cinnamon roll appearance will trick strangers and the elderly, but do not fuck with Yukimura because you will regret it. 

Yagyuu ↪ His nickname might literally be “Gentleman”, but he’s doubles partners with Niou, for tennis sake. He isn’t as innocent as other people think he is; Yagyuu definitely has the ability to be a mischief maker. Probably less so than some of the other chaotic members of Rikkai, but still... should not be trifled with.

Urayama, Marui, Jackal ↪ These babies are either oblivious, an idiot, tired, or all three. Marui is probably still the most chaotic out of this trio, but he’s still a cinnamon roll through and through and would probably be too grossed out by a fly to kill it (except if it threatened his sweets). Jackal is tired. Give this man a break and a juice box. He deserves it. Urayama is not only the cinnamon roll, but is also the icing on top. Pure.

Yanagi ↪ He looks shady and dangerous, especially if he’s caught hiding somewhere collecting research. A step up from Inui’s sinnamon status only because he strikes me as a bit more mature and calculating of the two. Will mercilessly use his data to tactfully (and extremely gracefully, might I add) destroy his enemies.

Sanada ↪ He’s just an old man. Tired. Needs a nap (or several). Disciplined and strict and even though he could kill you, he just needs a cup of hot chocolate because he’s actually a pretty big softie. Wants the best for his team and himself and will work hard to make his dreams come true. Probably struggles from arthritis when he hits high school because he really just is an old man. 

Akaya ↪ Okay he might literally turn into the devil when he plays tennis but off court? Very awkward and sweet. The confused and sometimes chaotic grandchild to Sanada’s confused and tired grandpa, if you will. Wants to please people so he works hard and even if he’s a brat he’s actually harmless.

You're going to hate my answer for this but...

Honestly, all of them? I mean, canonically all of these boys dedicate so much blood, sweat, and tears into tennis. So I would imagine if they found someone they really like, they would show their love / passion to that person in each of their own way.

e.g. Tezuka is passionate about tennis but he doesn't exactly show it until everyone witnessed his match with Atobe --> mostly silent but shows his passion by his actions. Ryoma is passionate about tennis and literally everyone knows it because he's very persistent in getting a win --> will not give up on you that easily.

Most Caring

Most of them are all pretty caring, but I feel that these people would take the cake if we're talking about being exceptionally attentive and aware of their s/o's needs:

Oishi - Literally he is your boyfriend and second mom. “Have you eaten? You also look tired... Have you been sleeping properly?”

Ootori - He's just very kind and attentive in general, so he would make a very caring boyfriend!

Yanagi - Knows your data enough to understand what you like or dislike, and he's compassionate enough to make use of that information.

Yukimura - Especially when it comes to your health, he's very attentive and will help you to be healthier with no questions asked if you want him to.

Yagyuu - A perfect gentleman; he always wants to treasure and takes a good care of you.

Jackal - He's used to take care of the troublemakers in the tennis team, so when it comes to you he naturally takes a caring role too.

Chitose - Likes to pat your head when you did well and will let you cry on his shoulder when you feel sad. Though he is aloof, he's observant, so he will notice all the little things.
