This Timestalker image of Jacob Anderson has me mind-casting him as Jimi Hendrix.
Here’s Jimi, as drawn by Freddie Mercury when he was in art college….

Can’t you just imagine a Jacob-Jimi emerging from this image?
And now I need it to happen…?! PLEASE?!
And obviously (though awards mean nothing) Jacob will get an Oscar & it will link back to Raleigh Ritchie 27 club & we have created a mobius loop of ART & who has written this film in my mind because now I have envisioned it all!!!!! *manifest manifest manifest*!!!!! 🙏

Mercury and Argus
Artist: Jacob Jordaens (Flemish, 1593-1678)
Date: c. 1635-1640
Medium: Oil on wood panel
Collection: National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia
Description
In 1620 Jordaens first painted Ovid’s mythological story of Mercury and Argus, a tale of the god Jupiter’s transformation of his nymph conquest, Io, into a white heifer. In jealousy Jupiter’s wife Juno sent Argus, disguised as a herdsman, to watch Io, but was foiled when Jupiter dispatched Mercury to lull Argus to sleep and decapitate him. The painting, now in the Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lyon, displayed Jordaen’s flamboyant use of colour, lighting and fluid countour. It was so well-known that Jean-Antoine Watteau reproduced it in his 1721 sign for the Paris picture dealer Gersaint. Fifteen years later Jordaens, by then a leading Flemish painter, produced this smaller replica.

As the game neared its conclusion, Mercury kept a careful eye on Sunflower. There was something undeniably odd about the way she carried herself—her reactions slightly too exaggerated, her energy fluctuating between hyper-focused and completely carefree. She didn’t outright say anything alien, but she wasn’t exactly hiding her nature either.
The final round came down to Mercury and Jacob, their partners now just spectators. Mercury lined up her shot, her focus sharp despite the buzz from the drinks she’d already had. She took a breath, flicked her wrist, and watched as the ball sailed through the air, landing perfectly in the last remaining cup.
Jacob groaned dramatically, throwing his hands up. “Nooo! I was so close!”
Mercury smirked, triumphant. “Close, but not close enough.”
Before she could celebrate, Jacob casually tossed his last ball, and to everyone’s surprise, it sank into one of her cups. Blaze let out a whistle while Jacob grinned victoriously. “You still gotta drink, champ.”
Rolling her eyes but smiling, Mercury grabbed the cup and downed the beer, shaking her head as the others cheered.
Meanwhile, Sunflower was pouting, arms crossed over her chest. “I don’t like losing,” she muttered, a little too serious for a casual game.
Jacob, ever the peacekeeper, pulled her into a side hug and kissed her temple. “C’mon, it’s just a game. You did great.”
Sunflower huffed but leaned into him. “I guess… but next time, we’re winning.”

YOU KNOW GOOD GIRLS WHO DON’T COME OUTSIDE GET THEIR FAMILY TURNED? — E. (STACK) MOORE
drabble
➠ mulan’s input; what if stack turned your family function into a vampire kickback like the toxic ex he is. shout to homebody by rob49 that inspired this
➠ c/w: stack is just a silly toxic vamp ex
you sat completely zoned out, blood tacky all the way up to your elbows. your juicy tracksuit? done for. no amount of shout could fix this. ‘this for real can’t be happenin’ you thought, but hearing your kid cousins playing ring around the rosie around the dead mailman—while chanting "shabooyah roll call"—nearly made you bawl. half your family is undead and it’s all because of—
knock
knock
knock
you slowly raised your head and stared at the front door like it owed you money. this was the third time someone had come up trying to ‘sweet’ talk you into letting them in: “y/n you bein’ stingy cuz!”
“oh she think she eryka badu or some shit, wit’ her crystals and incense and shit”
“come let me in! it’s hotter than the devil’s nutsack out here girl!”
you pushed yourself up off the floor with a groan, bracing against the wall as you limped down the hallway—leaving a streaky, bloody handprint along your auntie’s once-pristine beige wallpaper.
bass thumped from outside, rattling the drywall like even the house was trying to escape. you placed a steady palm on the wood and said a small prayer before turning the tumblers of the lock and pulling the door open
there he was.
bloody lips wrapped around a blunt passed to him by one of your undead older cousins. stack looked you dead in the eye as he flicked the lighter to life, lit the end, and took a long, slow pull. when he exhaled, his head tilted back in bliss, like the chaos behind him was a beach day
another cousin fired up a bluetooth speaker on the porch, and stack let out a loud howl when the track dropped. “boy if you don’t turn that shit up!” he laughed, gold fang flashing before redirecting his interest back to you
“you done with that fake spiritual rage you get when mercury in gatorade or whatever the fuck you be talkin’ about” he asked, slowly sauntering toward the doorway, making you lean back more in the house. “even in death you ain’t shit” you muttered back shaking your head in disbelief “you turned half my family into your undead mini—”
he raised one finger—just one—and the urge to snatch it clean off at the knuckle almost made you leap at him. “hollon’ baby, my favorite part comin’ up” he announced with a glint from his gold fang,
“you my baby huh?” he grazed a tongue over his bottom lip, eyes half-lidded probably from the blunt. “you know good girls who don’t come outside get cheated on?” he smirked curling his fingers toward himself, beckoning like sin.
“i hope jacob black real so he can come eat yo ass,” you huffed, slamming the door so hard the frame shuddered
you heard him exhale dramatically on the other side, “you really gon’ let spend eternal damnation with mary ass?! y/n!? baby?!” he yelled from behind the wood, banging forcefully against it. you glanced at the busted microwave clock blinking on the half-destroyed counter. “2:03?” you muttered. “lord, please let his crispy ass burn by 7.”

Jupiter and Mercury in the House of Philemon and Baucis
Artist: Jacob Jordaens (Flemish, 1593-1678) baroque
Date: c. 1645
Medium: Oil on canvas
Collection: North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh, NC, United States
Description
Jupiter and Mercury in the House of Philemon and Baucis, a 1645 painting by Jacob Jordaens, is housed in the North Carolina Museum of Art.
The artwork depicts a scene inside a rustic, dimly lit interior, possibly a humble dwelling. The main figures are Jupiter and Mercury, identifiable by their attire and bearing. Jupiter, an older man with a beard, is seated at a table, pouring from a jug. Mercury, a younger, more slender figure, sits opposite him, partially draped in a cloth. Both are bare-chested. An older woman, possibly Baucis, stands near the table, appearing to attend to the needs of the gods. A larger, muscular man, possibly Philemon, sits beside Jupiter, also partially draped. A white goose stands near the table's edge. The setting is detailed, showing a wooden-beamed ceiling, simple furniture, and household items. The overall mood is one of hospitality and a quiet, intimate encounter between the divine and the mortal. The painting's size is not specified in the metadata.

The music pounded through the speakers, and the group moved with the rhythm, caught up in the fun of the moment. Laughter echoed as Jacob spun Sunflower dramatically, her golden hair catching the neon lights. Mercury and Blaze danced together, his hands steady on her waist as they swayed and twirled, enjoying the carefree atmosphere.
But despite the fun, Mercury couldn’t shake her unease. Sunflower had been blurting out the strangest things all night—comments about Earth’s gravity feeling “off,” wondering why humans had such weak stomachs, and even casually mentioning something about “the last time she had to use a translation device. Each time, Mercury tensed, stealing glances around the bar to see if anyone was listening.
Did this girl not understand how to be discreet? If she kept talking like this, she was bound to get noticed by the wrong people.
As the night wound down and their heads cleared, Mercury exchanged a look with Blaze. They had heard enough for one night. “I think it’s about time we head out,” Mercury said, stretching slightly.
Blaze nodded, giving Jacob a friendly clap on the shoulder. “Yeah, man, it was a great time. We’ll have to do it again.”
Jacob grinned. “Definitely. You guys are awesome.”
Sunflower, still bouncing with energy, beamed. “You guys are fun! Next time, we should—” She suddenly stopped, tilting her head as if something had just occurred to her. “Oh! Never mind.”
Mercury forced a smile, not sure she wanted to know what Sunflower had nearly said. “Yeah… we’ll see you around.”

Short astro observations!

(With cursed photos)
8th house saturn = suggar daddy effect, gaining money from other people especially from elder ones, but these money are coming slower than a snail..so hope youre not running anywhere
Neptune - Moon aspects in a chart especially if they're also in good aspects are so addictive as people. You're bonded with their feelings
9th house in the 11th house can indicate having friends with different ethnicity/background and might meet them at the school/international one if is possible
Libra Placements are always in a rush to find their soulamates. Don't rush people. There is a timing for everything
3rd house in earth placements can find comfort in their favorite cars/vehicles, just like Lana del rey and her white mustang
If you wanna impress someone with Taurus Placements, you might consider cooking for them or building them a restaurant

Venus/Neptune in the 8th house is very dangerous on the low because they are DRIVEN by the lust, they can be committed but don't take it for granted
Bananas + Sagittarius/Leo/Aries Mars men = Why did it looked at me first???🍌🍌🍌🍌
Uranus in the 12th house can feel a collective consciousness = they're knowing what multiple people are thinking at
Uranus in the 2nd house having money feels like titanic, sometimes they're up, sometimes they're broke, and sometimes they're drowning
Mercury in Sag/Pisces people have cute accents when they speaking other/foreign languages
Venus in Leo people wanna be treated like royalties. Show them that...they are the queen/king of your world
South Node in the 4th house has a hard time to move from things they love. Especially if they move from their homeland to another one
Saturn in the 7th house gets a lot of hate sometimes but...its a really boring placement because is so slow, not so much happens
What do you guys know about part of fortune (PoF) i don't really write much about it but it's supposed to show the area where you have luck (based on the house)
Your Moon sign can show the type of food you may like/but also what food brings you comfort
Aries/Scorpio in the 2nd house have a really spicy way of talking, like they are speaking in 'chilli' with you 🥣🥣
'She's raspy today'...well she has a 3rd house/mars in a fire sign so i can see why....
Malefics in the 4th house show bad relationship with family members and pay attention because soemtimes it can mean for *generations*, meaning this have happened before you (Malefic Planets: Mars, Saturn, Pluto)
Gemini people might have beautiful hands, rising/2nd/sun placements
Libra Mars wants to be the alpha but ends up being the omega/beta...don't be someone's else second option, don't be like Jacob imprinting on Repackage from Twilight...

Take care of yall 😍!!

Sam Reid on the Betrayal at the Heart of Season Two of ‘Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire’ - Awards Buzz
Awards Buzz: First of all, I love the show, I know you have heard that a 100-thousand times. What I'm curious about is that Interview with the Vampire deals very much with recollection and memory and unreliable narrators and all of these things. I am suddenly very nervous now that I'm actually in your presence, but--
Sam Reid: No I'm nervous that we're together chatting--I'm in your presence, let's be nervous together!
AB: As an actor, how do you sort of deal with portraying that, portraying maybe somebody else's recollection of this character--does that play into your thinking?
SR: Yeah, and we talk about it all the time. I think it's something that we all do, playing these roles: we sort of look at how the character is at a specific period of time. I mean, with Lestat specifically, yes he's often seen through the eyes of Louis, but I can't say that Louis got it all wrong. But there are definitely moments where we're going to push into the hyper-archvillain. And I think, also playing with Armand’s perspective and Armand letting him--Armand sort of seeing him a bit more as a kind of, like a romance novel cover kind of thing. And what that dynamic is. But you know, Assad does a very similar thing, where he's sort of playing multiple characters at multiple different times. And Jacob does the same thing, where you see them through different lenses at different periods of time. I think that's sort of the joy of what this show is, and what it gives us as actors is the opportunity to kind of really have very mercurial flexible roles that we can try different things, explore different things. This was quite a fun thing to keep returning back to, because you don't really ever feel set in stone. You feel like you can give a new era a go, which I suppose is the joy of playing an immortal character, I guess.
AB: Do you--I mean, I mentioned your charm; that's such a big part of the character. Do you feel like that's maybe like hard for you sometimes to have to be this sort of looming presence that sort of exudes all these different, like--the gamut of human emotion?
SR: What do you mean by hard?
AB: Like, do you feel a lot of pressure to be able to--there's so many facets in in Season 2, he's playing a person who is a vampire who's playing--?
SR: Oh sure! Yeah, of course! And it's always challenging, that's why it's so fun. It is a really challenging show, and it's sort of under the premise of it being a genre vampire show, but I guess really we use the metaphor of a vampire to be a much larger conduit to have really intense conversations about humanity. So you are playing a bunch of different levels at all times, which makes it challenging. And Rolin Jones also is like extraordinary at layering the script and layering every scene with as many different things as possible. He has a kind of obsession about making sure that an audience is never going to be bored, and he really wants you to lock in when you watch. And when you have to kind of translate that on set, sometimes you're obviously speaking multiple languages, you're usually doing some kind of a stunt with a rig of some kind, or multiple dialogues between multiple characters--one happening telepathically, and one happening in present day. There's so many things that he layers onto it. But yeah, 💖💖 I guess in terms of like keeping the overall arc of Lestat alive, it's sort of important that we remain connected to the love story at the center of it, which is Louis and Lestat. And so that you feel attached to their separation, and their experiences previously and going forward. That you as an audience member continue to invest in these characters and their push and pull. 💖💖 So that's kind of complex, because we have to play those beats sometimes in random and turnabout ways, like a ghost or a vision or-- Yeah so it's always challenging, but challenges are fun!
AB: Well, I feel like maybe if your next role is going to be quote unquote straightforward then you're going to be like: I miss all of that! I think about that all the time with actors, like how do you go on to just play some regular guy?!
SR: It’s really fun playing a supernatural, very intense vampire. It can be kind of exhausting too.
AB: And that brings me to my next question, which is, like: The physicality is so interesting, not just because he's, again, this very graceful sort of--he's obviously been alive for centuries, but like you also have the blood and all these scenes-- What is it like for you to sort of inhabit this skin of this being?
SR: I don't really-- I think the costumes do so much work for us. I think what was kind of, what is fun and and probably not really thought about too much is that we're all--we all have accents on the show, so we've all sort of developed these sort of character skins. So when we start playing the game of the show with each other, the accents come on and the physicality appears, and everyone just sort of slips into it. And we just kind of play! Really, it sounds a bit silly, but it's just a big game, so the physicality is sort of always there, because they're like the costumes that we put on. I think you do a lot of thought about it, early, in the beginning, and then now as we go on it's sort of ingrained, and sometimes you have to work very hard to pull back some of the choices that you've made, because you don't want to get stuck in a rut. Like, I say, these are mercurial characters, and they are ever-evolving, and you want to make sure that you don't get them stuck in a particular era, which is sort of like, one of the joys of the character of Armand is that he's always looking for a way into the new century, you know what I mean?
AB: So I'm sure you're already aware of this, but in doing my research to talk to you, I realized that fans are very upset at how long they've had to wait in-between seasons. 👀😅 And then I wondered what's that like for you as an actor? Do you like having--maybe because you've talked about how when you're shooting the show you have to shoot very quickly, but as you're sort of waiting, do you feel like having that time helps you prepare? Do you find it maybe difficult to kind of come in and out, and then also having a lot of time pass, and you have to come back and talk to me about it?
SR: I mean it's difficult talking about Season 2, honestly. Because we're moving into a new season, and so sometimes I have to remember what's happened, but it might feel like a very long time for audiences, but actually we're working the whole time in-between. Like, actually making it, because the difference is: when a show comes out, the show is being shot in that period of time, or written or developed or rehearsed, and then they've got to go into posts, and we spend a lot of time in posts. We spend a lot of time doing ADR, or doing sound recording or whatever it is that we have to bring into it. So it actually doesn't necessarily feel like we get a break. It feels actually like the show just keeps going continuously, and it becomes a lifestyle in a way. Because then we're also promoting it, which also does take up quite a lot of time as well.
AB: But do you feel like, I mean, I guess when you look back on Season 2, what stands out to you, and what's your overarching takeaway, like if I was writing a book about your experience on Interview with the Vampire?
SR: What's the thing that I would take away from Season 2? Um, I think one of the key elements--which hopefully does translate--is that Louis and Lestat really betrayed Claudia. Claudia is the most important person in their lives, and in my opinion the show really--because she's such an incredible figure, and to lose her like we lose her in this season should feel so devastating that it creates a world-shattering reverberation throughout the show, and throughout subsequent seasons. So hopefully, the way that Armand, Louis and Lestat have all interacted with Claudia, and the way that this character has been betrayed by all three of them at different stages--and then obviously Delainey Hayles' extraordinary portrayal of this character, who is so fundamentally tragic. 💔 Because there's this adult trapped in a child's body, which is an amazing amazing Anne Rice-ian creation, that you should feel and walk away from this season feeling totally connected to Claudia, and be yearning for her like the rest of these vampires are, for many years to come. 👏❤️
AB: well I have to be honest with you: At the end of Season 1, I kind of hated Lestat!
SR: Yeah, you should! 👈🫵😤👏
AB: He was just so monstrous at times, that I really struggled with, like: what am I supposed to feel for this character?! But I felt in Season 2 that things were maybe a little, like, softer, and there were more facets to him that I got to learn, and I felt more of a pull. 🥺👉👈 And so I wondered like, for you again playing--like, how do you maybe relate to the more monstrous things? Do you find it hard for you at times to empathize with this?
SR: I think, because we are telling this sort of onion kind of story, where you're peeling away at the artifice, and the point of view, and how Louis is framing Lestat, you're sort of meant to kind of feel like he's just--you're meant to hate him, you know? But as you peel it away, and the things he can't escape, and the memories he’s trying to erase but he can't, you start to see that there was a bit more of a different dynamic to that relationship. So yeah, I mean, I guess it was sort of--sometimes when, early in Season 1, I remember, there's a scene where, um, it's after they have a huge kind of attack basically, and just before Lestat drops him from the sky, and we had this really complicated rig where I had to pull Jacob down the alley, and um--that day was really challenging, because I just couldn't work out how to pitch it. Because it felt so felt so wrong, I was like: I just don't really know what I'm doing! 😩 Like, I couldn't work it out, so it is hard. You kind of have to find the level of not making it so extreme that we just step out of the realm of an audience being able to connect and care about it; but you also have to make it sort of arch enough to feel the stakes of the scene. And the same thing with the Trial episode. There's elements of it which you know Rolin--the way he crafts things is: he wants the audience to feel the most that they can feel about any given moment. He always goes "Well let's go to the furthest we can! Let's not give them a little kind of tickle; let's give them a smack!" And sorry I've used that analogy, but anyway! And so the Trial was challenging, because he really wanted that feeling to come you; wanted you wanted you to feel like Lestat was coming in there for vengeance, for revenge, you know? And there was--there's more than that; it's more complicated than that, there's a lot more going on. But we had to play it for the initial reaction, the initial heat, and then we could slowly slip in more layers around it afterwards.
AB: I love what you said about sort of vampire lore being our conduit to sort of explore all these deeper human emotions, and I felt like that was my experience watching the show. I thought a lot about resentments or anger--all these emotions, and how I sort of have to sit with them. And here are these people that have been around a lot longer than I have, and they're sitting with all these deep emotions. So I wonder: have you sort of wrestled with this idea of like maybe, how playing this character has influenced you, and the way you think about these sort of larger overarching themes in your own life?
SR: Um, I think I'm always informed by any character that you play, and any experience you have--whether it be your job or not. You're sort of informed by it, in general, I think. So yeah, I'm sure I'm subconsciously--somewhere, I'm learning from this experience. But more often than not, you have to bring your own experience to these things, and you have to sort of supplement it for the context that you're given in the script. So yeah, I mean you know, I think everybody hopefully--well not hopefully, but you know--it's an important experience in your life, to have your heart broken. And it's important, you know, you learn a lot from that. And it's an important experience in life, if people are lucky to have it, to actually fall in love. 💔 And that's important, so I think, to be able to play these things, you have to have lived those experiences, so that you know you can make it feel human; you can make it make sense, and you're not just living in, you know, big genre fantasy world.
AB: Sam, I have to let you go, but I do want to give you the final word, if there's anything that I haven't asked you about that you wanted to mention last, if there's anything you can tell me about Season 3, to hold on to.
SR: What was what was the first part of your question? If there's just anything else I want to tell you about Season 3, is that yes, we're very close to filming it, and we'll be filming in Toronto. Daniel Hart is working feverishly away, and I'm really excited for everybody to see the work that he has done, because it is extraordinary!
AB: Well, I wish you the best of luck, and have fun on Season 3, and hopefully we get to catch up again, but thank you so much for your time.

Tools for working the Book of Oberon
Within the Book of Oberon (which you can read my introduction to here) operations call for a verity of tools. Some more obscure and easier to make or acquire than others. This list will focus on the core tools needed to begin practical use of this grimoire, made with methods described in this grimoire and modified based on practicality and my experience. Most of these tools can be created at once in the day and hour of mercury.
The Garments
Within Oberon there are a few notes about what the magician should be wearing. Suggesting white garments, made of linen, and sometimes having specific symbols marked on it. Or the attire of a priest. Other operations might request the use of a crown, but this won't be something I explore here. The BoO also gives a prayer to be said as the magi puts on his holy vestments.
While putting on the garment say the following:
Ancor, Amacor, Amides, Theodonias, Anitor, by the virtues of your holy angels, 0 Lord, I put on the garments of salvation, that this which I desire I will be able to bring about, through the most holy Adonay, whose kingdom endures for all the ages. Amen.
Should the magician choose they can also adorn the chest or cuffs of the garment with the following names of power to keep them safe from harm: [Note: I use a lamen instead]
+ Emanuell + Saboath + On + Messias + Sother + Agla + Adonay + Yana + You + Tetragramaton + Semephoron + Vay + Any + Eye + Ass + Essereayeey + Adonay + Sabaothe +
with the Hebrew letters "Yod-He-Vau-He."
Holy Water, Fire, Oil, and Incense
Within this grimoire there are various prescriptions for hallowing water, fire, oil, and the suffumigations. In almost all cases this water and oil are used in the consecration of the space and of other tools, the fire for lighting these incenses for suffumigation. So I'll be combing the blessing of these ritual implements into one simple spring of prayers, as well as give a few alternative blessings from the grimoire.
To consecrate the water:
I sprinkle you, O holy water, in the circle and in the place of almighty God, who made you blessed and consecrated, and has given power to his servant, especially to the priests to consecrate in his name, who is the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and I bless, invoke, and exorcise you, O water, in the name of God, and Mary his mother, and besides in his name and virtue and of all the saints male and female, with all the celestial assembly, in order that you, O water, may be consecrated through that God who has made you, and ordered you to be consecrated for our protection and defense against all temptations of the Devil, and against his assaults and snares, by the power of the Holy Ghost, who is merciful to us, and may it be deemed worthy everywhere and for everything, through Christ out Lord. Amen.
To consecrate the oil:
I exorcise you O creature of oil, by him through whom all things have been made, that all phantasms may immediately be ejected from you. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ + Be blessed oh creature of oil, and sanctified, through our Lord Jesus. Amen.
For the incense use the following blessing:
O God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, bless these creatures of spices, in order that the strength and virtue of their scents may grow, so that no enemies nor phantasms may be able to enter through our Lord Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.
To exorcise and bless the vessel and fire for incense:
I exorcise you O creature of fire, by him through whom all things have been made, that all phantasms may immediately be ejected from you, so that it will be unable to harm anybody. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, God the Father, and the Holy Ghost. + Bless of Lord this creature of fire, and sanctify it, for the praise of your holy name, so that no harm may come from bearing or seeing it, through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Glass/Crystal/Mirror
The grimoire provides 2 operations for making a magic scrying tool. I prefer the 2nd one for the fact that it's easier and shorter to preform. [Tho the first one is worth looking into as it also begins the work of creating a book for the magi, and to consecrate other necessary tools.] The procedure is for enchanting a scrying tool so that it's spirit provides clearly and honestly all things you want you know. It could be a glass receptacle, a crystal, or a mirror. I have made use of all 3 and found each to be equally as potent when properly enchanted. Once made this tool can be used when conjuring any spirit, but especially angelic ones. As well as for answering questions truly.
To hallow the spirit of a mirror:
Take a clean white cloth and place it on a fine table, atop that set your scrying tool of choice. Then say the following prayer,
0 almighty and eternal God, be present at these mysteries of your great kindness; be present at our devout invocations, so that you may deign to make this mirror worthy to be blessed in your name, which we strive to sanctify, to send out your spirit of blessing, and pour over it your blessed spirit, that what is to be done by our humble ministry may be accomplished by the effect of your power, although we are unworthy to perform such great mysteries. Yet as you do not abandon the gifts of your grace, so incline the ears of your goodness to our prayers, that this mirror which is blessed in your name, by the power of your holiness, may accept and become a perfect receptacle for accepting your angelic creatures in your holy name, to show a demonstration of the past, present, and future of a true and perfect knowledge, that we may be able to call upon your ineffable grace, without ambiguity or accusation, whatever it visibly manifests with rays to our eyes, through our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in unity with the Holy Ghost, God forever and ever. Amen.
Then the consecration,
0 God, who permitted this mirror to be made from fragile matter for the use of human kind, in order that he may judge by the illuminating rays, the different multi-layered appearances observed by looking at its different shapes; look kindly on the face of this mirror and multiply your blessings in it, that the inrush of your abundant grace gladdens the soul, as with the command of your greatness, in order that it may obtain grace from your Holy Ghost, which through the holy secret mixture of clarity and light, He (the Holy Ghost) may make this mirror fruitful, that a sanctifying energy being accepted and conceived in it, through your truthful angels, whom we intend to call upon through the power of your name, because of your usual mercy and nature, it may represent by looking at. Therefore O Lord, may all unclean spirits depart from this blessed mirror, most clear and true; may all devilish wickedness, delusions, and deceptions withdraw far from this mirror. May the creature of this mirror be free from all attacks, assaults, and purged of all deceits and immune to all treachery, and may the divine light surround it, so that all doubts and uncertainties are indicated, that your angels may reveal very clear that which is hidden or doubtful, so that anyone who gazes into this mirror may operate it in, O perfect Holy Ghost, and successfully understand what he asks about with certainty. Therefore I bless you, O mirror + by the living God, + by the true God, + by the holy God, + by the God who has granted you special power for showing appearances, so that being consecrated and strengthened you may accept and retain the power for which we have directed you. Be blessed and consecrated through Jesus Christ his only son our Lord, who has wished you to be consistently translucent and to send in the shapes and to demonstrate through different reflections with invocations to you almighty merciful God, be present with us, and infuse into this mirror the celestial harmony of your good clarity, speak with your mouth the benediction of this stone, so that thought you, for the common use of people, and may your angel be present in it to reliably answer our questions.
Put 5 drops oil on the surface of the mirror in the shape of a cross (4 points and one in the center) then say,
May the power of the Holy Ghost descend into this mirror. May it stir up the knowledge manifested in the mirror, that is may further the effect most gently, so that all doubts are resolved with certainty, so that all people gazing into this mirror may themselves enjoy true knowledge and perfect certainty, and command of the information and demonstration, through you, 0 Lord who lives and reigns and rules forever. Amen.
Now put 5 drops of oil on the right thumb, make a cross on the mirror connecting the prior drops of oil, and say the following,
Through this anointing may this mirror be consecrated, blessed, and sanctified, so that it may have the perfect power we desire for revealing the angels to us, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
Next blow on the mirror for 5 seconds, then say,
Descend into this mirror so it may be consecrated, blessed, and sanctified, so that this mirror may have the perfect power we desire for revealing the angels to us, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.
Lastly way before the mirror;
I conjure you, O exhalation, by the name (insert name), by the Holy Mother, instilled by the concerns of the phantasm, be filled by the greatest breath, by the best practice, by all the infernal tributes, by the holy Mary Magdalene, by the blessed Margaret, by the head of the holy John the Baptist, by Peter and Paul, by the virtues of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you join this mirror to respond to everything that is asked.
Soon the spirit of the mirror shall appear to you as a voice, saying and will show what you ask. This is also your opportunity to get a spirit seal from this creature before sending them on their way. When you are ready bid the spirit license to depart, request that it comes back whenever called. This is the spirit of the mirror who will aid in bringing forth other spirits and answers when the magi desires them.
The Ring
Various points in the BoO mention the use of a magic ring, and there are various experiments for the construction of a magic ring. For the purposes here I'll be focusing on one specific conjuration for a ring. Instilling the ring to have power over spirits and to aid you in excising them.
It goes as follows:
For 3 days prior to this rite abstain from impurity. You may eat and drink water, but refrain as best as you can from your vices. Place the ring you have chosen for this consecration on your altar. Where you will be celebrating 3 masses [note: I did not hold 3 masses over the ring I use. Instead, I simply prayed over them with psalms]. Then put the ring in a clean place [I wrapped mine in white cloth] and perfume it with fine fragrances.
On the 4th day say over the ring,
Hoccindinos + Osytheon + Stimulamaton + Elioram + Messias + Sother + Emanuel + Sabaoth + Adonay + Panthater + Primellus + Grabaton + by these holy names, and by other names which it is not permitted to name, I humbly urge you, that this ring which is here present, which the wise Solomon prepared and used in his experiments, and obtained effectual power over all demons and evil spirits, and he was able to exorcise them at his pleasure through the power of this ring, and he was able to bind them fast in all his experiments, and may it be salvation and protection to the associates, through you, 0 God, who are the refuge of all, and the virtue, glory, and power, through the eternal ages. Amen.
Lastly recite psalm 120, 112, and 129 over the ring. After this the ring will be ready to be used.
The Sword
Many rituals within the BoO call for the use of a sword. There are no clear consecrations for the sword in the book, so when I worked this grimoire I didn't worry about consecrating my sword. The sword I used was a metal blade sharp enough to cut, but not sharp enough to do any serious damage. Occasionally I substituted my sword for a white or black handled knife per the texts suggestion.
On occasions I do feel called to hallow my sword I use a simple exorcism based on others in the BoO. I would say the following while sprinkling my blade with holy water,
Creature of iron/metal I exorcise and bless thee in the names of the Father, the Son, and the Holy ghost. Amen. +++
Using holy oil I mark the sword with 3 "+" signs. One on the handle, one where the blade meets the handle, and the last one by the tip of the blade.
The Hazel Rods
These are treasure hunting tools first and foremost, but they can also be used to lead to you anything you wish. So should you find that through working this grimoire you need specific materia these may come in handy.
To make the hazel rods:
On the first Friday of an increasing moon before the sun has risen look for a hazel tree. Find branches that are about a year in age or less. Cut them in 4 stroke while saying,
In the name of the Father, I have sought thee. In the name of the Son, I have found thee. In the name of the Holy Ghost, I do cut thee
Followed by John 1:1, the Pater Noster 3 times, and 7 Ave Marias. Then say,
O Lord by whose providence mankind is increased, and all things have their being, humbly we beseech thee to put away from us all hurtful things, and that thou will grant to us that all things may be brought to good pass that we take in hand, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen. Lord, hear my prayer and let my cry come unto thee. Let us pray. 0 Lord, by whose providence the earth and all therein was created, grant grace to these, thy creatures, that they may be unto me aiding, both now and at all other times as when I shall have cause to use them, so that the rather by them I may come to the knowledge of that thing I desire. This grant, good lord, I do beseech thee for thy dear Son Jesus Christ's sake. Amen. I conjure you, hazel rods of one year growing this day, by the ineffable names of God + Hely + Helyson + Orca + Tetragrammaton + that you bring me without all manner of deceit and craft unto the place where any treasure is hidden, or any other thing, and that by the virtue of the holy name of God written in you. I command you that you do not rule in vain. I adjure you, 0 hazels of one year's growth, by the three kings of Cullen, Jasper, Melchior, and Balthazar, that, as they being wise and prudent men, were conducted and led by a star where as they found Christ, that so you may bring me into the certain and sure place where any treasure is or metal is hid or hath any being, and that this be done. I bid and command you by the power of God the Father, who hath made you, by God the Son, who hath redeemed me, and by the Holy Spirit who hath sanctified me and all creatures. Amen.
On the first rod write "Arifax + Agla +" 3 times, and on the other write "+ Adonay + Raavarax" 3 times.
