me forgetting my own dragon aging lore (Cuphead shouldn't be out during the day at this age. Let's say it's his first time or the little turd got out somehow but I don't think Joe would be so happy looking if that were the case.))

I now know the devastating feelings of being laid off of work.
Mind racing.
Am I reasonably competitive in the current Software Engineer job market? Don’t think about that yet.
Oh noes, I’ll have to study for coding interviews *again*. No stop, wait until Monday. Do ANYTHING ELSE.
Cuddle stuffed animal. Hug husband. Call mom, dad, sister. Join their vacation coming up. Stick to good news. Play Minecraft. Fold laundry. Play Overwatch. Plan house decorations. Rewatch Spider-verse. Little things.

How to get into Coding!
Coding is very important now and in the future. Technology relies on coding and in the future you will need to know how to code to get a high-paying job. Many people consider having Computer Science field-related jobs, especially in AI. What if you are interested it in general or as a hobby? What if you don't know what you want to do yet for college?
Pick a language you want to learn: Personally, I started out with HTML and CSS. I recommend if you want to do web design HTML and CSS are good languages to start with. Otherwise, start with JavaScript or Python.
2. Find Resources: Basically you want to look at videos on YouTube, and take classes that have coding like AP CSP, AP CS A (harder class), Digital Information Technology, etc. You can also attend classes outside in the summer like CodeNinjas and use websites like code.org, freeCodeCamp, and Codecademy. Also, ask your friends for help too! You can find communities on Reddit and Discord as well.
3. Start Practicing: Practice slowly by doing small projects like making games for websites and apps. You can work with friends if you are still a beginner or need help. There's also open-source coding you can do!
4. Continue coding: If you don't continue, you will lose your skills. Be sure to always look up news on coding and different coding languages.
5. Certifications: If you are advanced in coding or want to learn more about technology, you can do certifications. This can cost a lot of money depending on what certification you are doing. Some school districts pay for your certification test. But if you take the test and pass, you can put it on your resume, and job recruiters/interviewers will be impressed! This can help with college applications and show initiative if you want a computer science degree. This shows you are a "master" of the language.

in case anyone needed proof that java is an absolute moron
Delanie walks away, and Colt leans forward, reaches across the table to touch Java’s hand. Circles his thumb over Java’s knuckles, soft and enticing, and—is this when Chai would say fuck it and go for it? Make a move of their own? Java blinks that idea away, thinks instead of Ves, because that’s at least a little less gross.
Decides, yeah, this is it.
Licks his lips, sugary sweet, and says, “I’ve got a condom in my wallet, if you … you know, if you wanted to—“ and nods towards the restrooms.

Okay I think I like raspberry pi. I think I like micro bit powered robots. It’s so much easier to learn how to make computers do bullshit things when I have a goal for an adorable tiny computer who is trying his best.
Also it’s really easy to win over staff on a technology when it is objectively adorable.

july internship 1, Java
after getting to know the language itself and giving myself an overall understanding of it, i started with my first task:
Let your program print out every number from 1-100. If the number is dividable by 3, the program has to print "Fizz" instead of the number. If it is dividable by 5, it has to print "Buzz". If both (dividable by 3 & 5) apply, it has to print "FizzBuzz".
(if i explain smth wrong or if you know easier ways to solve that task, please feel free to comment or text me! i'm more than open for help!)
Well that's how i did it:
first off i went and created an integer variable "num" with the value 100
i built a for loop starting from 0 on and told the program to keep going until it went up to 100 ("<=" means i want it to stop at exactly 100, "<" would end at 99)
inside of the for loop i put a few if statements in
the 1st if tests whether the current number is dividable by 3 and 5
here i put "if (i % 5 == 0 && i % 3 == 0)"... why?
-> "i" is the variable for the number that is "being tested" rn. We want to find out whether it is dividable by 5. For that we use "%".
This means, let's say i=2. How often does 2 fit into 5? 2 times. This results to 4 (2+2=4, another 2 won't fit into 5). now 5-4=1 soooo 2 % 5 == 1. 1 is the rest.
So , back to my code: to find out if "i" is dividable by 5, i%5 has to be equal to 0. If i%5 has any rest, it means that it is not dividable by 5. Same with 3 ofc.
The && here just means "and".
so.. long story short: IF "i" is dividable by 5 AND 3 print "FizzBuzz" (instead of "i") and go on to the next number. if it is not, go into the next if statement
the next "else if" statements say: if it is not dividable by 5 AND 3, is it dividable by 3/ 5 only? IF yes, print "Fizz"/ "Buzz" and keep going with the next number, else: go into else statement
the last else statement says: if you didnt apply to the first few if statements, just print "i"
.. well and that's about it:) programming this one was really fun and i enjoyed sound it so much ahh🩷🩷🖤
