Nah but the baby Jin Ling flashbacks(??) when WWX transfers the curse in the Donghua got me so... the way baby!JL literally never smiles lmfao, WWX's only words about his dad being 'he loved ur mom', the super interesting fact they're bashing JYL (implying she wasn't looked upon kindly by the Cultivation world??), baby!JL immediately going 'don't lie to me!' when WWX offers to take him to his parents... like. Man. They did this right.

even tho I firmly believe cql absolutely made the right choice to keep the same actors throughout the show and the quality would have undeniably suffered if they'd gotten different actors for various different points in the timeline, it Does often get very confusing and weird wirt the ages of the characters. I do however think that wang zhuocheng plays "the pure vulnerable rage, anguish, and fear of a traumatized teenage boy too young to fully grasp what has happened to him" Incredibly well
