jsjdjs using this as the reference im gonna say he definitely starts experimenting with it during the course of the years, you can just FEEL it changing the more it goes on, but "it's reality, angel" feels like the first time we get to see him use it consciously as a pet name

"get in, angel" feels a little bit more like a title, despite being affectionate, then when he runs after him to convince him to go to alpha centauri we got TWO "angel" that, given the context, have no reason whatsoever to be anything else than a pet name fjsjani
