Leave A Travelers Path
Pt.3
A/N: it be the time I leave my hobbit hole of hibernation to write some orcs
Warnings: supposed blood and gore, mental illness, depression, PTSD?, anger?
Tumblr media
The sun beat down on the beasts backs as the orcs packed their belongings and strapped them to the mighty beasts.
"Krall! Come here" a young boy calls
"I'm coming! Let me finish helping Granga!"
The adolescent orc calls back.
Tumblr media
He slides down the muddy slope with caution, only to fall on his ass.
He stands back up and rushes to the young boy
"Krall what took you so long?"
"sorry, Granga was having issues getting into the saddle due to her age"
The other boy shakes his head smiling
"Krall weakness s is what will get you killed in these lands"
"Hey! I'm not weak"
He puffs his chest out
The two boys burst out laughing
"Krall!, Flare! Get over here"
Their mother shouts
Tumblr media
"Flare! please you don't have to do this!"
Flare glares at Krall
"You just don't understand, do you Krall"
"All my life you've been in my way! You're the reason I'm not chief! All because of some stupid heroic act put you before me! They see you as a king! You get everything I deserve!"
Flare points his axe closer to Krall's neck
Krall grabs the handle
"Six years ago, we stood in this exact location, that day I was going to kill you but I was too cowardly to hurt you because I still saw you as a brother, but now all I see is a weak, cowardly, thief. Who stole my crown!"
Flare presses the axe into Krall's neck, cutting the skin making a deep wound.
"And I can finally finish you off"
"oh and if you manage to cheat death, don't come back, I've told the group all about who you really are"
Flare growls
Krall's eyes open wide, before Flare pushed him into the icy water.
Krall tries to fight the ice to allow him to breathe but slowly he loses consciousness.
Tumblr media
"Leah! There's a boy in the water!"
The teen runs over next to her friend
"Leah we have to save him!"
"(Name) are you crazy! Can't you tell! He's an orc! We should just let nature do its thing!"
"Who cares if he's an orc! He's still a living being with thoughts and feelings!"
(Name) runs to the icy river bank, grabbing the boys hand and pulling him into their arms
"oh Lord! his neck!"
They rush to cover his bleeding neck with their gloved hand
They pull off their fur coat throwing it over him
Leah runs over
"What are you doing!"
Leah tries to force (Name's) arms off the boy
"If they catch you with him, you're surely to be kicked from the village!"
"Then so be it! I will not stand by and watch someone die suffering that is simply not who I am!"
(Name) pulls him closer to their chest
Leah sighs
"then at least let me help you carry him somewhere safe and warm"
The two find a recently abandoned cottage on the edge of the town, previously owned by two halflings in the mining industry who found gold and jewels in some old mountains owned by dwarves.
(Name) places the young orc on a soft lounge chair, they rush into the other room to find blankets, while Leah starts a fire.
The two teens care for each other and the orc, patching up any of his wounds, cooking for all three of them, tending the fire, up until Leah had to leave for home.
"Tell my parents that I am not going to be home until tomorrow afternoon because I have accepted Anderson's proposal!"
Leah gasps before nodding and rushing off
(Name) turns towards the orc before sitting on the stool next to him and lays one of their hands on his cheek
"you're not burning up but I'll have to check again in the morning" they sigh
Before slipping into the pile of pillows and blankets and drifting into a comfortable sleep
Krall's eyes flutter open, he looks around the warm room before his eyes lead to (Names) silhouette on the floor. He slips his feet from the bed and puts them on the floor, (Name's) fur coat falling from his shoulders.
He creeps towards their sleeping form. He steps next to them and crouches down next to them. He notices bandages covering his arms and legs. He looks back at them. Huffing he pokes their cheek. They shift in discomfort, he pokes again, they swat his hand.
"Leah, stop it and let me sleep for a bit longer"
He stops, looking at them.
They shift and turn towards him eyes cracked, they gasp before sitting up
"I'm sorry you must be starving"
They stand rushing towards their bag grabbing bread before walking towards the pantry
Luckily there was enough left from the past inhabitants of the home as they wanted to leave immediately
They grab dried carrots, butter, cheese, and dried tomatoes before rushing out of the cottage scooping up snow and bringing it back inside to put in a pot before getting a fire started and putting the pot over it.
Krall watched in amazement at the human running around so early in the morning.
They melted the snow and used the water before adding the things they bought from the small shop down the road. Cream, dried tomatoes, and carrots. Before cooking up some grilled cheese and sitting down with the unexpected orc.
Tumblr media
A few days had passed and Krall was ready for departure from the small cottage
He thanked the human for hospitality and left to figure out what to do now that he's been abandoned
Tumblr media
Years passed and he became a well known orc chief and duke in the western empire
He still wondered where this peculiar and stubborn human is doing
He searched for them everywhere each time coming up with nothing
He eventually gave up and carried on with his life
Until a certain traveler took up a job to return a precious jewel to his manor in the western empire
He had hope that it was the human he'd been searching for.

The Plagued Doctor
This is a short story on my website about a group of novice adventurers going out on a quest in a forest at night! It's a dark story that I made to introduce a specific (bit messed up) character that I initially made for DND but now belongs to a setting of my own called "Veneration".
Hope you enjoy! ^^;
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Okay, that finalizes you as a member of the guild. Here’s your copper guild tag. We don’t get many priests from Bathalburg here in Bristlestock.” Said Camilla with a smile in her fanciful, formal outfit.
Camilla had wavy, short, black and blonde hair with cobalt eyes and beige skin. She handed the priest of light a tag plate that glimmered the priest’s name: Alyiah Edier.
“Thank you!” Alyiah bowed, her jeweled staff glittered and her long, blue hair swayed with her gentle movements. She took her guild tag and wrapped it around her tan-white neck. Alyiah wore a multi-layered, bordered, caped dress with split ends, colored in amber, blue, and alabaster.
“There are plenty of people forming fellowships and adventure parties since the call to Crastmarch, you’re bound to find a group.” Camilla grinned, gesturing to the mass of people populating the very hall they stood in. “A lot of new adventurers and mercenaries wish for power, glory, and wealth by driving away the shadows over the land. I just caution you to be careful, and never underestimate your foe. Best of luck in your endeavors, if you need advice, let me know or perhaps ask a veteran adventurer.”
“Mhm! Thank you.” Alyiah nodded.
Adventurers of all shapes and sizes, mostly humans and half humans of elven and dwarven blood, gathered. Amongst them were at least a goblin, orc, and jactuu, rare in their kingdom. The ruckus of socialites filled the air as they formed their groups. Alyiah didn’t know where to look as the prospect of approaching a group was highly intimidating, but she felt it would be easier to talk to adventurers of her young age.
Without warning, a gathering of three adventurers approached her. They were all young and wearing their copper tags.
“Hey, I hear you’re a priestess! We still need such a healer in our party. My name is Floridus, I’m a warrior.” Floridus pointed to himself while flaunting his indistinctive sword, he wore a linen tunic with a wide, metal plate. Floridus was human but had an overbearing enthusiasm as he smiled brightly with his piercing blue eyes and brown hair. “Are you a new adventurer too? What do you say about going on a quest with us?”
“I…” Alyiah wanted to step away but Floridus was cocky, making up whatever distance she put between him. “Hold on, w—”
“Come on, what could go wrong? We’re just going to slay a bunch of weaklings”
“Floridus, calm down.” Said a half-elven woman with long, olive hair and emerald eyes. She was dressed in plain dark robes and wielded a ringed staff that clacked with every movement. “My name is Thryta, we’re going on a quest to slay some mischievous demonlings, details say they are mostly implings.”
“Yeah, it’s an easy job!” Floridus said.
“Stories tell them to be just a nuisance, we’ll cut them down.” A cloth wrapped, human rogue, with short black hair and green eyes, flaunted their twin knives. “It’s quick money, so be quick about your decision.”
“This is Seva.” Thryta sighed. “The quest seems to lead us to a forest with an abandoned lodge. As they said, we are to only slay implings—”
“Okay! Okay!” Alyiah cracked to the pressure of her peers. “My name is Alyiah and I would like to see you be safe.”
Camilla leaned over trying to catch their attention despite the distance between them. “Don’t take the demonlings lightly and please, please be careful.”
Alyiah was concerned. In the corner of her eye, she saw Camilla trying to intervene but the cacophony of the crowd and the insistent adventurers kept her from hearing her. Yet Alyiah had a strong feeling of wanting to not disappoint her peers and the desire to keep them safe.
The party of four followed the trail to their quest as night fell. It led to a dense, dark forest laden with briar and thorns. The area was unusually quiet, not a single insect or animal made a sound. The moon weighed heavily above but barely broke through the treeline. Upon an incline clearing they saw a large, fancily trimmed, wooden lodge that appeared oddly untouched...

Jewel Of The North Part 5
Tumblr media
Woo, it finally happened, the do is at the end of the chapter. Again, a thousand thanks to @monstersandmaw for sharing ice orcs with me. I’m having way too much fun.
Jewel Of The North
Part 5
You were walking towards the barn, feeling the slight burn of the sun on your skin as you watched Noah bend over to trim your horse's feet, his ferrier tools in the stand around him. His shirt was dirty and sweaty and hugging his muscles beautifully and the chilled lemonade in your hand didn’t compare to the fire of lust and love and adoration in your heart and mind as you waited until he was done with that particular hoof and stood up and righted himself to approach closer.
“Thirsty?” You offered the lemonade to him before he grinned giddily as he got it and happily gulped it down and you watched the apple in his throat bob with the motion.
“You need another or did that quench your thirst?” You asked once he had downed it.
“Almost.” He admitted before he pulled you to him and kissed you deeply. You could taste the sweet lemon and sugar from the lemonade and just a hint of the pulled pork from lunch.
And of course the kiss progressed and you suddenly transported to your bathroom where he was pinning you against the wall so he could pound into you as the hot water sprayed all around you and to feel the heat of his body wrapped around your own and practically pulsing inside you as he was stretching you to the max and grounding you yet making you feel lighter than air as his mouth was on your own, swallowing your whimpering cries of ecstasy was pure euphoria and no sooner had you cum in the shower before you were rolling around in the silken sheets of your bed, trying all kinds of positions.
“How close are you?” Noah rumbled as you could tell he was getting so excruciatingly close himself.
“I already came in the shower, it’s your turn Babe.” You cooed.
“Nope, wrong answer.” Noah teased before he pulled out and left you trying to grab him to pull him back before he attached his mouth to your sex and promptly devoured you before you were pushed to the edge.
“There you are, now, let’s try to do this together,” Noah encouraged before he settled himself back into you and started to really stroke himself into you instead of the heavy pounding and good god, it was the best sex of your life and together you reached your climaxes as you both tightly held the other, wrapped up in comfort and warmth and each other as the rest of the world faded away, leaving the two of you in peace and happiness. Then the blare of the alarm...
You woke up the next morning, your underwear soaked in your essence and got a quick shower and got dressed before you called your kids.
“Good morning sleepyheads.” You cooed.
“Good morning.” you heard them both answer sleepily.
“Aww, did I wake you up too early? Before noon?” You teased as you got your shoes on.
“Yes.” They answered.
“It’s summer vacation, it’s still am so it’s morning.” Xander grumped.
“Oh it’s only 10 am there, that’s still sleeping in plenty.” You gently argued.
“Which means it’s seven there, you’re on vacation, why would you get up so early on vacation?” Skylar complained.
“Because I’m going fishing today, with Noah and Sakura but we’re going to really be in the middle of nowhere because he’s taking me to tribal lands where there are no cell towers for miles so you won’t be able to get a hold of me and so this was my chance to check in today.”
“Is this the same Noah that flew you in?” Xander questioned.
“Yup, the same Noah I spent all day Tuesday watching his daughter who I would adopt and take home with me in a heartbeat if I could.” You confessed.
“The one who lost her mom?” Skylar remembered.
“Yup, the very one. She’s the one that’s in the same boat you’re in.” You confirmed.
“Because her mom died and left her all the land that she got the same way you got your estates.” Xander recalled.
“Yup and because I have a lot of first hand experience with that kind of thing. I’m gonna try to help her and her dad deal with it. At least better than I did in the beginning.” You revealed.
“Cool.” Xander chirped.
“So do you like Noah? Is that why you’re spending the day with them?” Skylar asked curiously.
“I do like him. Noah is...well...he’s awesome. He has been nothing but respectful and perfectly pleasant and professional as a pilot and a friend and I can see why he’s friends with everyone up here because he’s a good friend to have.” You answered.
“No like, like him like him, like romantically.” Skylar specified as you heard Xander go ‘oh gods’ in a groan in the background.
“I’ll be honest. Yes. But I think it’s one sided, because he has been friendly but he hasn’t really been flirty or anything. But I haven’t been super flirty to begin with.”
“Good!” Xander boomed.
“Hey, as I recall, I believe both of you were ok with me moving on romantically since your dad died and you two were the ones that set me up on that date with Alex.” You countered with a frown.
“Which was a disaster.” Skylar remembered.
“True.” Xander conceded.
“But Noah is a bush pilot in the Arctic Tundra, that’s one of hell of a niche Mom and he can’t do that in too many other places, he’s an ice orc which is a tribe that originated up there and rarely move away. I mean it’s an awesome job and sounds kick ass, and I’ll bet it’s gorgeous up there but from what you’ve told us about him, I don’t think he’s gonna give all that up. And you have it too good right where you are and you shouldn’t move either. Just leave it as friends Mom.” Xander pleaded with you and you hated to admit it but he was right and had very good points. Xander had inherited all the sensibleness from Andy.
“I know, you’re right.” You conceded even though your heart and soul were throwing tantrums within you and clinging to your fantasies for dear life.
“But you should still enjoy your time up there mom. Maybe we can come up and see everyone some time when we’re all together.” Skylar offered sweetly just as the first few tears started to fall as you nodded in agreement. Grateful they couldn’t see you.
“Yup, there’s a really nice hunting and fishing resort up here, maybe we can come back here and stay there.” You offered as you discretely wiped the tears from your eyes and willed yourself not to cry any more. Feeling like a teenager with your first soul crushing crush.
“I’ll try to call you guys later ok? Be good for Mimi and PawPaw and Granny and Papa ok?” You urged them. “Love you lots, bye.” You bid them.
“Love you too Mom, bye.” They echoed.
You found your composure and finished packing your things up that you felt you would need today. Extra sets of clothes and layers just in case you fell into the water or the temperature decided to vary greatly, your emergency spices just in case you cooked whatever you caught. Snacks just in case you didn’t catch anything. An emergency kit just in case anyone gashed their hand open and needed medical attention. A few handheld games for Sakura to keep her quiet just in case she wasn’t fond of fishing and battery packs for your devices along with a few other essentials. You were determined to have a great day fishing with Noah and Sakura and prayed that you would have a good day nonetheless and to have peace in your heart so you could enjoy the moments today and commit them to memory.
When you were done you walked the now familiar route to Noah’s house, hoping you weren’t coming too early and no sooner had you stepped foot on the porch when the door opened to reveal Noah with a bed head worthy of a few more fantasies and a bright happy smile that shamed the sun that had you mirroring it as the dogs rushed past him to greet you excitedly too before they left to do their business.
“Good morning, hope I’m not too early.” You greeted bashfully.
“Nope, just woke up, wanted to make sure I didn’t sleep in and miss you.” Noah reassured you as he ushered you inside before you set down your stuff by the door before you went to the kitchen together to get coffee and breakfast ready as the two of you easily fell back into a routine, that while it was new, it was somehow so familiar and comfortable and second nature to you both and it was while you were scrambling eggs that you noticed Noah give you a look you didn’t quite know how to read. It wasn’t bad but it filled you with...you didn’t know what, excitement? Curiosity? Giddiness? What?!
“What?” You asked over your shoulder.
“Um, I was just thinking…”
“About?” You prodded.
“About…” Noah took a deep breath and looked particularly nervous all of a sudden as he started to wipe his hands off on a rag from mixing together pancake batter.
“I wanted…” Noah began before his thunder cat rubbed against your leg before it started to climb you like a tree again.
“Ah, Baby, I’m cooking, I can’t have you on my shoulders right now, your hair will get in the food.” You cooed to the cat before Noah came over and got the cat off your shoulder before the cat tried to use it’s sharp claws to dig into your clothes and howled in protest. “Sorry, he really likes you.” Noah confessed as the two of you worked on getting the cat’s claws out of your clothes and once successfully detached he went to the back sliding doors and put the cat out and shut the door so it wouldn’t interrupt further.
“So you were saying you were thinking about what again?” You prompted once he was done.
“Right, um, so, uh, I wanted you to meet the rest of my family.” Noah finally blurted as there was a hint of fear in his eyes which gave you just a moment of pause.
“Oh, to discuss Sakura’s inheritance? Do you want to make sure they’re all comfortable with me being involved in any of it?” You supplied since that was the only reasonable, non romantic reason you could think of for meeting them. Trying to stamp down your hopes that he wanted you to meet his family for any other reason.
“Yeah, sure,” Noah confirmed with a nod as his shoulders sagged in defeat just a little.
“Ok, cool, when?” You asked.
“Well, today my Mom was going to be calling everyone to see what times would work best for everyone while we went fishing.” Noah informed you.
“Oh, well I’m free the rest of the week, so I’m free whenever. If it would help I can provide references, like my analyst and my own lawyers or even see if they can suggest anyone to use up here.” You suggested.
“Only if you wanted to.” Noah answered you could see he was trying to cover up his disappointment. Was he disappointed with you? Is that not what he was asking or wanting from you?
Meanwhile- Noah was internally and existentially screaming and screeching into the void and cursing himself for being so chicken shit to not say what he really wanted. He was such a coward and he was so epically and historically bad with words. All he wanted was you. He wanted to be with you. He wanted to court you or even fight for the chance just to try. He was so hopelessly in love with you it wasn’t funny and if he had one more sex dream about you, his nuts were going to explode along with his head. He wanted to pick you up and sit you up on his counter and feast on you for breakfast before Sakura would wake up. This was his one shot to confess his feelings and he was blowing it and he couldn’t stop it. Like being in a river that’s way too strong and carrying him away from shore and he was doing everything in his power to fight against it but the stronger he struggled, the stronger the current and he couldn’t get traction and he was running out of time and he was missing his chance on happiness and his happily ever after with you damn it.
But then you were sniffing the air and turning to take the eggs out of the pan before they burned and his moment was gone. He wondered if you would freak out if he just came up behind you and hugged you and started kissing you, would that be inappropriate? How would you react? Would you like that? Be put off and leave? Freak out? Turn and kiss him back hopefully? Grind your ass into his manhood? He could dream.
Then he heard a giggle. Damn it, Sakura was up and his chance to have you all alone to himself was over.
“Good morning Pumpkin.” You cooed when you heard the giggle and looked over at the stairs to see Sakura spying on you from them.
“Good morning Paradise.” She answered before she came all the way down the stairs.
“How long have you been up there spying huh?” You asked as you came over to her and hugged her tight.
“Since Angry Pants climbed you.” Sakura answered and suddenly Noah was wondering if his instincts just knew it wasn’t the right time. Dang it. Well the day was young, he would hopefully have another chance some time today. Or at least that was what he was going to be praying for.
“I see, well let's get you some juice and breakfast, we have an awesome day ahead of us and we need to have food as fuel for it.” You urged her as you got her some eggs to start eating and some juice as Noah went about pouring the pancake batter in the other pan to make the pancakes before you went back to the stove to work on the bacon and the sausage before you would make Noah’s eggs and your eggs and stood side by side in front of his stove as you wanted nothing more than to have him put his arm around you. Around your shoulders, your waist, you didn’t care. But something, you were craving his touch and his closeness even though Xander’s words tortured you from the back of your mind. What if this was a fantasy escape for you? What if it was nothing more? No, your heart assured you that was not the case. What if all he wanted was just help with his daughter and nothing else from you? Perhaps that was what you feared most right now. Because you were ready to offer yourself and everything you had up to him and what if he didn’t want you romantically? You would have to learn how to be content with a platonic relationship with him but you did get close enough that your arms were touching and you could feel the heat roll off of him and the stove and you just wanted to cuddle into his side.
And then you felt it, his hand splayed comfortingly on your back and if you could have sprouted wings and hugged him with them you would have, before the hand went to your far shoulder and suddenly he was resting his arm over your shoulders and you took that as a sign that snaking your own arm around his waist was an ok move as you both leaned into the side of the other. And you were afraid to look but the happy contented smile on your face as mentally you were going ‘fuck it, I want to be happy and close to him right now’.
All that mattered was right now and right now your brain was swimming in endorphins from just this little touch. It was heaven. Maybe he didn’t mean it to be as intimate as you felt it was but you didn’t care. You were just...happy. So happy right now. You haven’t been this happy in...a very long time and in your wildest dreams, you would find a way to make this work. Maybe he isn’t great with words? Maybe he’s showing you through his actions how he feels? Maybe.
You did everything in your power to stay right where you were because you didn’t want to move, you didn’t want to break the bubble you were in because in your heart you wanted this moment to last forever. But once all the eggs were fried and all the bacon and sausage and potatoes and onions and pancakes were cooked you both begrudgingly parted to take the food to the table to eat but sat kitty corner from each other at the small table and if he had reached out to hold your hand you would have held it but he was using both of his hands to eat his breakfast but Sakura was just happy to jabber on about all the different kinds of fish you could catch today as you gave Noah a fond smile as you just let her tell you all about fish. You could listen to her talk for hours on end about anything she was passionate about.
Once breakfast was done, you quickly did the dishes while Noah and Sakura got ready and packed up for your ‘adventure’ and once packed up, you let the horses out in the pasture and taken care of for the day before you loaded up his truck as the dogs jumped into the bed of the truck to watch the stuff since they were coming too and made a quick stop at a little outpost/ grocery store to get supplies like bait and beer since you had already packed a bunch of snacks and drinks for Sakura at home from what you had bought the other day. But this place had local moose jerky and homemade doughnuts that you needed in your life ASAP.
“Hey Noah,” a guy greeted him as you were around the corner letting Sakura pick out whatever her heart desired.
“Hey Tim.” Noah greeted back before they shook hands.
“Have you heard anything from Derek or Evan or anyone from their gang?” Tim asked him.
“Nope, picked up their loads yesterday though cause no one could get a hold of them.” Noah answered as you made sure to stay out of sight.
“Well I finally talked to them today and turns out they went drinking with some super hot Moscow Doll. They must have partied pretty hard because they’re still wasted as of about half an hour ago and can’t hardly move even now. They actually pissed and shit themselves because they couldn’t get up to go to the bathroom.”
You did your best to hide your erupting snicker under Noah’s who snickered and laughed at their misfortune.
“Gross, well I don’t know what you could have expected, they’re young and stupid and stupid is as stupid does I guess.” Noah shrugged.
“True.” Tim nodded. “So what are you up to today?” Tim changed the subject.
“Taking Sakura and our new friend Zara fishing.” Noah answered, feeling bad to call you ‘a friend’ because if he had been brave earlier he could have asked you out and he could be introducing you as his girlfriend.
But alas, chicken shit was he.
“Oh,” Tim blinked but smiled wide as you seemed to take that cue and appear from the other aisle.
“I heard my name.” You announced.
“Zara, this is my friend Tim Baker.” Noah introduced.
“Zara Kingsley, pleasure to meet you.” You greeted sweetly as you shook his hand, kind of grateful you weren’t wearing any makeup or anything and dressed down and hopefully neither Tim or Noah would make the connection that you were that Moscow Doll. Which honestly was an awesome alias.
“Pleasure’s all mine.” He returned as he shook your hand firmly. “That’s a strong hand shake.” Time appraised, impressed.
“Sorry, day job, I’m an LMT, strong grip is in the job description.” You tried to laugh off.
“A what now?” He asked.
“LMT- it’s an acronym for licenced massage therapist, like EMT or CEO.” you supplied.
“Oh sweet, did you just move here?” He asked hopefully.
“Unfortunately no, just visiting this time. My home base is in the Great Lakes.” You answered before you got into your wallet and handed him a business card as he whistled at it.
“Wow, that’s the fanciest thing I’ve ever had in my hand.” Tim appraised which got you to chuckle.
“That’s not a nice comparison to Tammy, she’s plenty fancy.” Noah teased which got everyone but Sakura to laugh harder.
“I take it Tammy is the better half.” You assumed as you glanced down to see a thin gold band on Tim’s left hand.
“Nope, I’m the better half, I’m the best thing in her life.” Tim smoothed his hands down his front, stroking his beer gut affectionately as he smiled cheesily which got you to laugh even harder.
“Oh that poor woman.” You and Noah answered in unison as you both shook your head.
“Jinks!” You managed to get out first as Noah snapped his fingers in defeat but smiled happily nonetheless.
“Ha! I win, I get to buy the snacks and the beer.” You insisted as you pried the beer from Noah’s fingers and took Sakura to the checkout counter.
“Hurry before your Dad stops us!” You giggled to Sakura who took the opportunity to grab handfuls of candy from the display by the cash register to add to her ‘loot’.
“Just friends? Really?” Tim questioned a little disbelieving as he gave Noah a meaningful look but a knowing smile.
“She’s only been visiting in town since Sunday and I’m the one who flew her in.” Noah revealed, dropping his voice down to a low murmur.
“I see, well it seems she’s great with Sakura, she’s got strong mom vibes and she seemed like she a could be a local if you asked her to be.” Tim appraised.
“Well she is a mother, has two kids of her own back home.”
“And the dad?” Tim asked.
“Dead, she’s widowed.” Noah answered.
“Oh perfect, no asshole ex or visitation or anything like that to deal with, just what you needed, you’re practically made for each other.” Tim grinned mischievously as Noah gave him an unimpressed look. “Well stop yapping with me, take her fishing, take her to the Honeymoon spot or something, don’t be keeping a gem like her waiting.” Tim urged him as Tim noticed you had gotten your stuff and had left the store with Sakura in tow and you sure did look like a perfect fit for Noah and Sakura to him. You just exuded sweetheart and that’s what Noah needed in his opinion, and you were really pretty au naturale too. He could see there were sparks there and he would be praying that Noah would make a move before you would leave as Noah left the place and happily rejoined you in the truck and drove to the airstrip before the two of you loaded everything onto the plane as Sakura happily kept the dogs on board and got settled in herself and once it was all packed up, the three of you settled in and by now you had grown almost used to the feeling of taking off before Noah turned the plane north eastern and flew, you could see the snow capped mountains and pockets of lakes and streams and super intense greens from the wilderness splattered with pockets of civilization, and just the majesty of it all took your breath away and you prayed your brain was recording it so you could dream about this moment in the future. It was just perfect.
Noah flew the familiar route to the perfect spot, where it would just be the three of you for miles and miles around and hopefully the fishing would be good too.
And once it was in sight he pointed it out to you.
“That’s where we’re going.” He pointed to it as he got in position and descended and made sure to put the right landing gear down and touched down into the water before taxing himself around to the best spot in the lake where a few streams came in and out of the lake before he turned the plane off and lowered the back hatch/tailgate down to the right height so you could fish off of it before he got his camping chairs and practically set up his own dock on the tailgate complete with a cooler full of ice and beer and drinks and camp chairs and snacks and rods and reels and tackle and everything.
“Ooh, I like this, this is wonderful.” You praised as you sat down in the other camp chair that Noah set up just for you as Sakura was sitting in her kid’s camping chair.
“And the great thing about being in the water like this is the bugs aren’t as bad and you don’t have to worry about bears as much, moose can still swim out this far though but at least we can see stuff coming.” Sakura beamed happily as she got all her snacks and juice boxes and stuff set up around her as the dogs happily sat on the edge and looked out into the water and basked in the sun before Noah got all the fishing poles out and got them set up before he handed you one before you cast it out.
“Nice cast.” Noah praised.
“Thanks, my family are big fishers. We would go fishing all the time both in childhood and adulthood and we would go out and usually catch our limit. What is the limit by the way?” You asked.
“There isn’t one, we’re on Sungilak Tribal Lands and this whole area and for oh, probably a hundred miles in any direction is still our lands and we don’t have limits on fish or game or anything. So since you are a guest of the clan and have permission from two clan members, you don’t have any limits on anything you catch either and you don’t need any licenses or anything. Our permission and invitation is enough.” Noah reassured you as Sakura beamed proudly at you too.
“Aww, thanks.” You answered, feeling particularly touched by their gesture as you realized this was a great honor. For them to share their birthright like this was incredibly generous. You knew Noah was of humble means, and this was perhaps one of the few things he could share with you and it was incredibly precious.
“Can I get a few pictures of this?” You asked hopefully.
“Sure.” Noah nodded before you took pictures of Sakura sitting next to you in the chair with her little fishing pole, the line hanging off the edge in her sunglasses and snacks and dogs looking pretty as a picture before you got selfies of the two of you and the drop dead gorgeous scenery.
“Smile Noah.” You prompted as you got pictures of him actually fly fishing off the back of the tailgate before he flashed you a brilliant smile and you knew this picture you’d be treasuring for a lifetime.
“Can we have some music?” You asked hopefully.
“Uh, good luck getting a radio channel up here.” Noah replied.
“Not a problem, I have premium Spotify and dozens of playlists downloaded. What do you like to listen to?” You asked as you got your mini portable bluetooth speaker out of your bag and turned it on since it was freshly charged before you got your phone to connect with it and brought up the app.
“Don’t care, listen to whatever you want.” Noah obliged.
“Ok, everyone’s favorite classics- it is.” You decided before you had the phone shuffle on the playlist.
“Ooh,” Noah oohed when a very familiar favorite started to play. Ok, you were officially perfect in his book. Perfect music tastes, perfect cooking skills, perfect mother figure to Sakura, perfect...everything. You were generous and charming without being fake or insincere, you were beautiful and confident and independent and loving and supportive and protective and incredibly intelligent and naturally sweet natured but had enough gumption to not put up with bullshit. You weren’t a doormat and he could only admire and adore all of it. You had every reason to feel like the hottest shit ever but you were humble enough to be unassuming and discrete but there wasn’t a part of you he wasn’t impressed with.
Then the fish started to bite and that’s when the day went from good to great. And what was even better, is because of the cold storage compartment of the plane which was like a walk in freezer/cooler but on an plane with several bins inside to keep things separanted, Noah had the good sense to clean out and line the biggest one with a giant tarp, all you had to do was load the fish into it and they would stay cold until you got home. Very convenient.
“Could you teach me how to fly fish?” You asked as he seemed to be getting better fish and more of them fly fishing than you did.
“Of course.” Noah immediately agreed before he had you use his rod and reel and showed you how it was done and you were over the moon when he wrapped himself around you to do it. His hands over yours to show you where to grip the rod and to feel the warmth radiate off of him and even though it was already comfortable weather wise, with him so close you practically melted having him so close, with his front pressed comfortably to your back and his head and over your shoulder. You wanted to lay your head back and rest it against his chest and just to have him hold you.
Meanwhile Noah felt that this was his opportunity that he had been silently praying for all morning, if he didn’t take the leap now, he was going to regret it. You were here, you were practically in his arms and every instinct was screaming at him to offer himself to you. It was now or never. So it had to be now.
“I didn’t originally want you to meet my family tomorrow as an advisor. It’s not that I don’t want your help with Sakura and her inheritance, because I do, we need it, desperately. But, I really really like you and I want to court you regardless and I wanted you to meet them as my girlfriend rather than advisor.” Noah finally confessed as he just stared longingly at your hair in a ponytail, appreciating all the hues and strands of color in your hair, fantasizing about how soft it would be through his fingers as not looking at your gorgeous face was somehow easier than if he was looking into the very eyes that tortured him when he wasn’t looking at them or the face that lit up his world.
“I know you have your life in the Great Lakes and I don’t want you to give that up and I am never going to ask for you to give that up. And I know looking at the way things are now, it doesn’t seem like we have much of a future and I’ve been afraid to ask you cause I don’t know how this could work. But I want to try to work it out anyway.” Noah confessed as you slowly turned around to look at him. Afraid that you were dreaming or had fainted and were hallucinating.
And you saw hope and fear in his eyes as he bit his lips to force himself not to speak anymore and wait for your answer, it was the same look he had this morning as you felt a little vindication that he did try to ask you this morning but lost his nerve and your heart soared that he obviously felt the same way you did and that it wasn’t all in your head, this was real, he was really asking you out and he really cared for you enough to ask at least as you smiled up adoringly and gratefully at him.
“Sakura,” you called.
“Yeah?” She immediately got up and came over.
“Did you hear your Daddy?” You asked her, just to make sure you didn’t imagine it.
“Yup, I want you to be my Mama too.” She added brightly and you couldn’t help it, you started crying but your smile was brighter than any star.
“I want to be your Mama too Sweetie, more than anything.” You reassured her as you turned out of Noah’s frame and hugged her tight.
“Yes, my answer is a resounding yes.” You finally answered Noah before you pulled him down to your height to kiss him soundly as his arms wrapped tightly around you, the fishing pole long since been put down and practically forgotten as you felt in your soul that this was your last first kiss with him. And boy oh boy was it a good one. Full of love and hope and promise and tasted better than you could have imagined and definitely worth the wait. This wasn’t going to be a passing fling, nope. This was gonna be a forever thing, you could already tell. And you were finally, going to be happy- if only you could make Noah equally happy.
From there, things fell into place even more, you took tons of pictures of you and Noah together and you caught enough fish to fill that whole freezer compartment and thanks to a little on board galley on the plane, you were able to cook up fish for lunch and dinner and the dogs happily ate fish too and by the time it was evening you found yourself sitting on a huge cushion right on the back hatch with Noah sitting behind you with you cuddled into his lap as Sakura was securely nestled into yours and with the big blankets surrounding the three of you and the dogs cuddling over your legs, you were both comfortable and content and Noah must have kissed your temples and cheeks a thousand times as he sat with you. HIs wistful sigh music to your ears as you were sure your own was to his. Even though the day had spurtterd in the beggining, it sure did end perfectly in your book.
Only when the sun was finally setting for the final time did you pack it up. Sakura long since fallen asleep in your arms and with Noah’s help you were able to pack her up in her spot before you helped him get everything ready to go before he flew you to his home.
“So did you want to stay over tonight?” Noah asked hopefully.
“Oh yeah, if you’re sure you want me there, I’ll stay for as long as you’ll have me.” You confirmed.
“Oh I’m as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west,” Noah mirrored since his boner seemed to spring to life at the notion.
“Awesome, I’ll just get the rest of my stuff from Taylor’s house tomorrow, it’s already late but I packed enough that it should get me through the night and into tomorrow, easily. I packed enough clothes just in case I fell into the water, like twice.” You revealed.
“Are you like, always prepared for everything?” Noah asked, his tone light and almost teasing.
“Yes. Long before I was a mom, I was the mom friend. There’s very good reasons why my purse never weighs less than like 9 pounds. It’s because I keep everything in there. Coming up here, I packed two of everything just in case one of something got lost. But turns out the gods knew that there would be two families that would be benefiting from my visit and I couldn’t be happier about the second one.” You beamed.
“Yeah, not to sound weird or anything but since you brought it up, I’ve been praying for the last year and a half for the gods to help me find Sakura a mom and someone who could help us and Sakura has never taken to anyone the way she took to you. And well, I mean I adore you too because if you’ll recall the first time we met, I just stared like an idiot with my jaw on the floor because you are very easily the most beautiful woman I have ever met or known and I was really afraid to say anything after I found out you were an heiress because I didn’t want to make it seem that it was only after I learned that that I was attracted to you. And honestly watching you have a date with Doug was torture for me and I was terrified you were going to fall for…” Noah explained.
“Oh his “charms”,” You snickered a laugh before you pretended to gag.
“Ew, no. He was absolutely ridiculous. Sakura told me in the bathroom that night that his boys pushed her down and didn’t apologize and I was ready to rip his head off. And please don’t be freaked out either but when I hugged her for the first time, I instantly loved her, like the same feeling I had when I gave birth to Skylar and Xander and I got to hold them for the first time and you have that ‘there’s my baby, my most precious possession, I’m gonna love you and cherish you forever and i will kill anything that dares brings you harm’ kind of feeling. And hugging you for the first time felt like hugging home, but it just was one that I didn’t know yet so…” You confessed before you heard Noah sniffle.
“Really?” Noah asked.
“Is that weird?” You asked with a little bit of a grimace.
“Nope, I was praying for that, I was praying for the right woman to love Sakura like her own, and well, me for me, flaws and all.” Noah revealed.
“Well then we are both answered prayers for each other because I was praying for the same thing. Although I’ll warn you, my son Xander will be the hardest to deal with. He’s very practical and rational and unfortunately, very skeptical too. He loves to play chess and cards and do things like negotiate and debate. And he’s way smarter than he should be for his age. He’s the one that likes to have everything figured out and planned before he takes his first step. His room is immaculate and he’s getting into cooking and he actually measures every little thing and me and my ‘eyeball it and measure it with your soul’ kind of thing tend to clash a lot. He will stay up till midnight just doing research for fun. He is very much like his father. He breeds ball pythons for fun and he has all the genetics memorized by heart and he keeps the snake room spotless, all on his own without any nagging or anything like that from me.” You warned.
“Skylar will be eaiser but she’s very emotional and you just have to be really patient. She’s also either super quiet or super chatty, there is no inbetween. She will talk your ears off. Also she wants to bake cookies and cakes and pies. Every. Single. Day. And nothing has enough sparkles or glitter for her.”
“We’ll all find a way to get along, it’s gonna be ok.” He reassured you before he kissed the back of your hand sweetly.
You got back to his home and found a note from his mom. The family would be coming together on Sunday since that’s when most had the day off and that they would be coming to her house for a big family meal and invited you to bring a dish to share if you wanted to.
“What should I bring?” You asked Noah.
“Anything you want, but we got all day tomorrow to figure it out. Come on, let’s get her to bed, and us to bed.” He hinted as he took your hand and led you upstairs as Sakura lay knocked out over his shoulder as he carried her into the house and led you upstairs. He had waited all week to have you by his side physically and he didn’t want to waste another minute of your presence and once she was tucked into bed and her door shut he was on you and walking you towards his room.
And you’d be lying through your teeth if you were to try to deny you weren’t excited about this either. But Noah’s kiss and touch were unlike any other and you were greedily taking everything he could give you and trying to give back in kind and you just needed more...more kisses, more touches, more feel, more contact, more...everything and you don’t know how it happened or exactly when but somehow between him attaching his mouth to yours just outside of Sakura’s room, and him, reaching around you to open his own bedroom door, somehow most of your clothes had come off you as you felt the cool air hit your skin.
Your bra was unhooked in the back and your pants and underwear were already off and by the time he got you into the room and the door shut and thankfully locked, somehow your shirt and bra now disappeared as did all of his clothes except for his socks which he was trying to toe off just trying to get you to his bed since his weeping cock was pressed between the two of you.
Taylor had not been exaggerating. Noah was packing. You knew Ice Orcs were as big as orcs came. But damn. Biggest cock you would ever probably get the pleasure of handling and it was all yours, you could barely wrap your hand around your prize and Noah’s moan was equally delicious and Noah practically ripped the blankets off the bed trying to get into it but when you felt his legs hit the mattress, you pushed him back onto it, and sent him landing on his back with his lower legs hanging off the bed, he was surprised but thrilled all the same and when you nuzzled his heavy sack with your nose and then with the tip of your tongue, he was the one left grabbing the sheets in anticipation.
Neena was ok with receiving oral sex but she hated giving it because she just didn’t like the taste of precum, let alone cum and thought it was gross and always gagged the moment his cock touched the back third of her tongue. So to have you even hint at it was driving him wild and when your tongue licked from the back of his ball sack, through the two balls and to the base then, towards the tip, he was nearly undone. And then to have you kneel between his legs and start sucking him off, his eyes nearly rolled back too far but his answering strangled moan was all you could ever want in response. You knew he didn’t want to wake up his daughter but with just this bit of sucking his body, especially his thighs and stomach was almost shaking and twitching from fluttering so much. It must have been a while for him to receive this kind of pleasure and you were unbelievably pleased that you could give it to him and when you started to gently massage his scrotum and oh so gently scratch at it, he bucked his hips, sending the head of his cock to the back of your mouth before he pulled them back.
“Sorry.” He tried to apologize.
“Don’t apologize Baby, it’s ok, did Neena have a strong gag reflex?” You cooed as you detached your mouth from his length so you could talk to him but your hand stroked him lovingly.
“Uh, yeah,” Noah confirmed.
“Hmm, well I don’t.” You hinted and that was your only warning before you worked on sucking as much of him into your mouth and throat as you could and he pulled so hard on the sheets, they popped off the corners of the bed and the noise that fell from his throat was the best reaction you had gotten yet.
“Zara, please, please slow down or stop, I’m, I’m gonna cum. I can’t cum yet, you’re not, I haven’t pleased you yet.” He whimpered which warmed your heart that he was so concerned about your pleasure.
“Do you only have one round in you?” You posed as you pulled off but nuzzled the cock all the same, giving the blue cock that ended in a pink head some sweet kisses.
“N-no.” He answered.
“Then let me give you this one easy, next one you’ll have to try harder to earn it.” You cooed before you went back to it as your hands stroked up his thighs to his abdomen as he reached down and laced his fingers with yours to hold your hands as your head bobbed enthusiastically as his precum coated your mouth. This had to be the most delicious cock too. His precum was comforting and alluring and just a little zesty, like wildberries, more intense flavor but full what your body craved before you brought his hands up to your face so he could stroke your face which he did before his fingers finally settled into your hair as you wrapped your arms around his hips and shoved your hands between his fine ass and the bed and clawed your hands into his ass as Noah keened in bliss and arched his back off the bed as his fingers tangled in your hair before he got two good fistfuls of your hair and pulled your face closer as you did your best to suppress your own gag reflex as the head of his cock hit the back of your throat.
“Oh gods, oh gods, Zara, Baby, I can’t, I can’t hold on...” he panted desperately as his hips bucked and every other muscle in his body seemed to tense before one last slam and his cock erupted with seed that spilled down your throat as you swallowed around him, your lips suctioning around you just kept swallowing as he whimpered and keened and shuddered his release and he was left a sweaty mess as his body welcomed a few aftershocks as it basked in the afterglow as you made sure you swallowed down every drop of his precious seed before you slowly let it slide out as you pulled away and happily watched as his heavy cock fell to the bed under it’s own weight.
“Good?” You asked as you climbed up his body, kissing trail up him before you settled onto his chest.
“The best, I didn’t think...I didn’t know...it could be that good.” Noah praised having a hard time coming back to his senses. While part of him wondered how much experience you had had to get that good, he didn’t care, you were his now. And he was never going to let you go. That was the best blow job of his life, of the millenium. His mind was blown, his body was officially blessed by having you of all people do that to him.
“Now don’t fall asleep, you have me to please now.” You giggled as you traced a little pattern on his chest as he caught his breath.
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” he reassured you as he wrapped his strong arms around you and held you tight.
“I love you.” He cooed.
“I love you too.” You easily mirrored. And it felt like the most natural and easy thing to say. And completely truthful too before he cupped your cheek and pulled you further up to kiss him soundly.
“I didn’t kiss you Tuesday because that’s what I did with Neena, I kissed you…” He began.
“I know, same reason I called you Babe on Tuesday, it just felt right.” You reassured him.
“Exactly.” He grinned appreciatively.
“Now, my turn to treat you like the goddess you are.” You growled as he playfully nipped at your neck and ear as you giggled gleefully as he rolled you over and it was his turn to kiss you senseless and mark a trail down your luscious and plump body, making sure to worship all of his favorite curves, from your breasts to your belly which he just adored to your hips and his favorite curve, your mound. Perfectly crowned with curls and dripping in anticipation of him and he took a lot of satisfaction in knowing that he was responsible for this as he settled between your legs before he had you set your powerful thighs on his shoulders and delved in.
Nothing could have prepared himself for this. But you tasted better than anything ever had before. It was sweet and spicy and purely addictive as he delved in and slurped and gave his tongue the work out it had been craving for practically a week as his own hands now cradled your glorious ass to cant your center right where he wanted it and it was your turn to writhe between him and the sheets beneath you.
Andy, truthfully, was not a good lover. He loved and adored your blow jobs but returning the pleasure, he was hopeless. He didn’t know how to please you, because all of his sex education had come from porn and besides pounding his cock into you, he didn’t know what else to do to please you and never bothered to learn.
Noah though? Oh bless this man’s heart, body and soul. Because he was eating you out like you were a seven course feast and he had been starving for most of his life and when he added a finger and then two and found that oh so sweet g-spot and worked it like it was his mission in life and he had been put on this planet for the sole purpose of finding it and working it to perfection while his mouth circled around your clit and sucked hard- it was all over, your legs kicked out and your knees tried to snap shut around his head and clamped his ears to his head as your own hips bucked and your own cry of bliss and ecstasy practically bounced off the walls. This was the greatest oral sex you had ever had the pleasure of recieving. It was official, he was a sex god.
For once you didn’t feel like you were wasting yourself or your gifts on someone. He was deserving, he was worthy. He was amazing and epic and wonderful and you loved and adored him.
“You still here?” Noah teased as he licked his lips as his self satisfied smile beamed up from between your legs. He still had it and he could give you the best gift possible and there was no one more deserving of that- than you, and he did his best and he was happy that you were well pleased with him and his efforts.
“Oh my gods, that was, epic, amazing, perfect. Like I’m trying to keep my soul in my body.” You explained with a giggle as he kissed his way back up your body to your mouth before he kissed you soundly as you wrapped yourself around him as you came down from your own afterglow before he slid right in.
“Oooh, perfect fit.” You purred up at him as he settled into place. You were stretched perfectly but not uncomfortably. Stuffed perfectly full and you melted into the bed when he didn’t pound, but actually stroked himself in and out of you, adjusting the angle of his hips until he found the perfect one for you both and every stroke felt like a blessing he was pouring into your being.
Then he worked up the tempo and the rhythm.
“Please, please don’t stop Noah, I’m so close, I’m so so close.” You begged as you felt your peak draw ever closer as Noah’s own body started to tense up as you clung to him and then that’s when he seemed to lose some semblance of control as his hips went from measured to almost a heinous pace as he started breathing even heavier and more labored as his hold on you grew almost desperate and it was enough to send you over the edge into bliss and when you inwardly constricted and fluttered around his length, it undid him and he came falling after you, pumping your canal so full, the seed had nowhere else to go but to seep out where you were joined as you both breathed heavily, trying to catch your breath as you just held each other as you looked up from the bed through the sky light to see the aurora borealis come out and move messmerizingly across the sky. It was so beautiful. And you were so happy and content to share such an intimate moment with Noah. He was such a gem. This perfect jewel of the north who had been waiting for you to come and find him and cherish him and love him. And you would do your best to do so for the rest of your life.
Once you two fully relaxed you looked around and noticed the bed looked like a hurricane had come through the room.
“Come on, help me make the bed, then we can sleep.” You gently urged him as he begrudgingly let you go and together you made quick work of putting the sheets back on properly and fixed the many layers of blankets before you quickly went pee in the bathroom and at least picked up all your discarded clothes in the hallway and put them in Noah’s room while he went to the bathroom himself before you met back into the bed and cuddled, looking up at the northern lights before you both drifted off to sleep.

IFJAJHWJJF OKAY ONAY ONAY HI I JUST SAW YOUR POSTS PLESE WRITE YANDERE ORC STUFF NO ONE DOES FHANKZKA IM SO EXCITED
Hello my fellow orc loving anon, I hope you enjoy the food, Smutty second course will be on it's way (at some stage). Also since you let me choose I had to pick Risotto.
Of monsters and men
(yandere orc Risotto x female reader)
For generations your family had established peace between your village and the clan of monsters that ruled the land. In exchange for part of your village's crops they would spare you all from rampage.
Everything seemed like a nightmare as you saw the same clan betray centuries of trust. Houses were on fire, men were mutilated and women were forced upon. It all made you sick to the stomach to watch as you ran in the scanty outfit you had to wear. Today was meant to be the day where the village and clan would indulge in festivities, yet it was all chaos instead.
Tears threatened to spill as your dreams of following in your family's steps broke like porcelain. You looked to your side as you heard the wails and screams of young children being forced into a cage like vermin by two ogres. You stood by and watched. Part of your mind telling you to keep running but the other half wanted to save the poor children.
You sighed as you ran towards them and grabbed a nearby pitchfork and hit one of them with the hilt, knocking them out for sure before hitting the other.
"You have to get out of here kids!" You ordered them.
'but I can't find my parents" one of the young girls cried. A frown formed on your lips, you felt so bad for them.
"I know, but you can't stay… your parents would want you to be safe" you explained as you kneeled down and scruffed up her silken hair, trying your best not to cry.
"Do it for your family's sake" you continued.
"Will you come with us lady (Y/n)?" Another asked.
"I can't… as a member of the noble family I have to try and figure out a way to fix this" you explained. You had hoped that maybe your father was already talking to the clan leader, coming up with a solution to the issue.
You helped guide all the children to the edge of the village with the pitchfork you had used to knock out the ogres firmly in your hand before something delivered a low sweep. You fell to the ground and watched them all scream and scatter into the dark forest as something pulled you back.
You were yanked up by the arm and forced to confront your captor as their long forked tongue slid up your neck, leaving a trail of saliva and venom that burned your skin like acid.
"You're a rather feisty lady" a seductive tone hissed as a scaly tail that glimmered like obsidian wrapped around your lower body. Stray locks of lavender coloured hair came into view as the male leaned into you.
"You smell so fertile… I expected nothing less of a noble" he chuckled before turning you around so you could finally see him. A tall Naga with an asymmetric bob, bearing his long fangs.
Your blood froze as you realised the gravity of your current situation. Your heart pounded inside of your chest, threatening to explode any minute.
"What… whatever you intend to do with me… please make it quick" you plead though your shaky breath as you squeeze your eyes shut.
The Naga reacted with a cruel laugh as he watched you squirm in his tails tight grip. Almost prideful of the fear he was inducing.
"Oh I don't intend to do anything with you, but I can't say the same about our ruler" he chuckled.
Your eyes lit up a little, you could try to negotiate with him to leave the village and return to prior times. Yet your stomach also twisted in fear, you had no idea who the ruler of the monster clan was. No human dared to speak of him, not even your father.
"Please take me to him, maybe we could come to some agreement!" You please.
The lavender Naga laughed before leaning in towards your face. His long, forked tongue feathering over your cheek.
"The perfume of fear is intoxicating, Lord Nero could smell it from a mile away" his comments made the hairs on your neck stand.
"But if you are so insistent, then I can only let you try" he continued, his words dripping in sweet venom.
"Yes I do want to go!" You almost yelled.
"Oh so eager, I can't refuse to that" he chuckled as his form wrapped around you more before tightening his grip on you till you couldn't breath. His long body slivered over ground with ease as he deprived you of oxygen. You coughed and weezed as your vision impaired. Your neck hung loosely like an old doll as your limbs starved. Shortly darkness fades in and out of your vision as you struggle to stay conscious.
You closed your eyes and when they opened once more you were in your house. It had been trashed beyond belief, like someone had been searching for something.
Finally the Naga let you go and let you drop to the floor. You took a few deep breaths as you got to your hands and knees. You knew something was hovering above you but you couldn't bring yourself to look up at whoever it was.
"Melone, you can leave now" a deep voice ordered. The Nagas named Melone slivered back before leaving you with whoever the voice belonged to.
"(Y/n)" the male said your name, a sweet and soothing tone on the edge of the previously gravely tone.
"How do you know my name?" You finally asked as you looked. Your blood went cold as you finally saw the large pale orc in front of you. You swallowed your saliva as you studied the intimidating monster's features.
Short hair as white as fresh snow, ruby eyes amongst jet black sclera and a single tusk protruding from his lower jaw. He was extremely tall, even for an orc, his chest broad and exposed with a black leather straps decorated with various jewels. To put it simply, he was an orc of a high class and ruling over a clan of various monsters further proved his status as a ruler.
"I saw a few photographs of you over the years. However your father never spoke of you, so I had to find out more about you myself" he explained. You remained quiet towards the creature.
"Quiet are we? I thought you would have tried to say a few words at least after attacking two members of my army" He muttered before kneeling down.
"I came here to make a deal with you, in exchange I want you to stop this attack" you responded.
"Well I doubt your father is going to repay his debts" he said before pulling you up.
"What are you talking about? We had our taxes raised numerous times because of your demands!" You hissed as you pulled your arm out of his grasp.
The orc gave you a stern look before his features softened.
"Well I was told that there was little money amongst the town, I was kind enough to ask him for alternative payments" he explained.
"He's been paying me almost nothing for the past two years" he continued.
You looked at the orc, trying to figure out if he was lying or not but deep in your heart you could tell he wasn't trying to trick you, he had no reason to.
"Perhaps we can end this conflict now and I can repay you the debt" you suggested.
"I'm not going to just let this brush off so easily, I want a payment now!" he responded with slight anger in his tone.
"I'm sure I can talk this out with my father-" you were saying however the albino orc quickly interjected.
"Do you not realise that your father had abandoned this town" he mentioned.
"No he wouldn't, I don't believe it!" you argued.
"Well read these for yourself" he replied as he grabbed several notes from one of the pockets of his striped pants.
"I found these in your father's quarters" he explained as he handed them to you.
You read only one of them before you dropped them all on the floor. I was undoubtedly your father's hand writing, such a scandalous conversation between him and a woman who was obviously taking him for his money. You were in absolute shock, he had left you all to die.
"Surely I can offer some form of payment here, give me a chance" you begged.
"I doubt it, I've looked everywhere and there is nothing" he replied.
“However if you really want to save this town so badly, I think I could reach an agreement.” he mentioned trying to hide the lust in his eyes.
“State your terms” you stated.
“Eager” he responded.
“Well… I will stop this attack and our clan will leave your village in peace but I have one requirement, I want you” he explained before grabbing your hip.

The tavern is crowded and full of life except for one dark corner where Steve and Bucky sit drinking from their mugs of beer. Sam had immediately joined everyone else instead of following his friends to their lifeless corner upon their arrival. They had all decided to celebrate the mission they just completed with a drink at their usual place.
“How mad do you think Sam is that we had to trade away his lute for the jewel?” Steve chuckles as he asks and takes another sip of his beer.
“I’m sure there’s still steam coming out of his little ears,” Bucky laughs. “Where is he anyway?” As the two of them look out into the crowd of people trying to spot their friend a table crashes to the ground drawing everyone's attention. Sam’s standing where it once was in front of an orc who looks like he’s trying to make sense of what just happened. Steve and Bucky look at each other before rolling their eyes at how drunk and angry Sam is. They know immediately that he had to have been the one to knock over the table and that he’s about to start a fight.
“Watch where you’re walking you big oaf! You almost trampled me!” Sam kicks at the orcs legs as he speaks. The orcs' eyes narrow in on Sam realizing that he had been the reason the table was knocked over and his drink now covering his lap instead of sitting in his mug.
“You spilled my drink on me. Who do you think you are halfling?” The orcs' voice booms through the tavern as he picks up Sam by his collar.
“It’s your turn.” Steve reminds Bucky as he nonchalantly takes another drink from his mug.
“I know, I know.” Bucky downs the rest of his drink before forcing his way through the crowd. “For such a half pint you sure cause a shit load of trouble Sam.” He grumbles to himself before addressing the orc in the room. “Hey buddy! Why don’t you pick on someone your own size?”
“Get out of here helmet head, I have no issues with you.” Bucky snarls at the insult thrown at him and cracks his knuckles.
“Yeah, well now I got an issue with you.” He lands a punch in the orcs stomach causing him to drop Sam in shock, who immediately dashes over into the corner with Steve.
“Okay devil man, you asked for it.”
The orc swings for Bucky who dodges it while landing another blow to the orcs chest. The crowd in the tavern bursts into chaos and cheers as the fight begins. Bucky manages to dodge another punch just to catch a blow to the face from the orc's other fist. He stumbles back a bit from the force of it and can feel the tear in his lip from his fang. He growls at the smirking orc in front of him. He jumps at him, shoving him over onto a table before climbing on top of him and throwing punch after punch at the orcs face.
Then the doors swing open and everyone freezes as elven guards file into the tavern. The gold of their armor hints to the fact that they’re sun elves. It was rare to see elves in this area. And it was unheard of to ever see a sun elf anywhere other than their territory or in a war. So seeing all the guards fill in the perimeter of the tavern is enough to stop Bucky mid punch. A hush falls over the crowd as an elf prince walks in. He stops in the doorway and scans the place in disgust before his eyes land on Bucky. He makes his way over to him and stops in front of the table. He cringes at the bloodied orc before speaking.
“I’m in need of your services.” Bucky’s eyes go wide for just a second before the orc underneath him groans, drawing his attention back to him. He lands one final blow to his face before standing up and motioning for the prince to follow him over to Sam and Steve. The prince grimaces at the sight of Sam, so drunk he’s barely conscious, and very hesitantly takes a seat across from them while Bucky leans on the wall behind them crossing his arms.
“What can we do for you?”
“Find someone for me. My bride to be has disappeared under my watch. As of this morning she was missing from her room and she’s not in my kingdom. It’s preferable that you find her before her father realizes that she’s missing. I believe that she was kidnapped though any enemies we have wouldn’t have known that she was visiting.”
“What does she look like?”
“She’s a moon elf.”
“I assure you, your majesty, that we don’t see a lot of moon elves in our profession. We’re gonna need a description to find the right girl.” Bucky spits out and a moment of silence passes before something clicks in Bucky’s head. “You’ve never even seen her have you?” The annoyance in his voice isn’t hidden and Steve bursts in quickly so Bucky can have a moment to stew in whatever he’s thinking of saying.
“Where was she last?”
“The last any of my guards or her guards saw her was in the room she was using during her visit.”
“And you probably won’t even let us go there.” Sam hiccups break apart his slurred sentence as he picks his head up from the table just for it to fall back down when he finishes speaking.
“Your drunk friend would be correct. My kingdom is no place for creatures like yourselves.”
“So let me get this right.” Bucky pushes off of the wall and leans his hands on the table and brings his head down to the prince's height. “You expect me to find some lost princess with no description, no reason for someone to take her, and not even be able to try to track her from where she was last?”
“I can give you a piece of her clothing for a scent.” The prince nonchalantly removes his gaze from the nails he was boredly examining and makes eye contact while he speaks.
“I’m not a damned hound!” Bucky snarls and slams his hands on the table causing many guards to step forward. Steve quickly stands up effectively shoving Bucky back and stopping him from doing anything stupid.
“We’ll look for her. Do you have any suggestions on where we should start looking?”
“There’s a town called Tavin that I’ve heard she spends time in, it’s not far from the kingdom, I’d start there.” The prince then stands up and motions with a finger for a guard to step forward. He drops a bag of coins onto the table and Steve grabs them before Sam can open his eyes to get a glance of it and try to snag it. “You’ll get the rest of it after she’s returned safely to the outskirts of my kingdom.” The prince throws over his shoulder as he starts to walk out of the tavern.
“What an entitled fucking weed eater! How the fuck does he think we’re gonna find his precious fucking princess?” The noise Bucky’s fists make when they slam into the table cause heads to turn in their direction and also causes Sam to groan out something about trying to sleep.
“Are you the best at what you do?”
“Of course I am.” Bucky scoffs out, annoyed that Steve would even second guess that.
“Then we shouldn’t have any trouble finding her.” Steve smirks at his friend knowing he had won whatever argument they would have over this whole quest. “Now let's sober up Sam and get ready to go.” He tosses Sam over his shoulder with just a small protest from the halfling and starts to make his way out of the tavern. Bucky follows behind him grumbling to himself in Inferno and makes sure to kick the passed out orcs legs on his way out.
***
They had let Sam sleep for an hour in their room at the inn not far from the tavern while they repacked their belongings. Once they woke him up they gave him a meal and some water to get him more alert. It’s the system they use every time Sam gets drunk too soon before leaving for a quest. They had to create it because Sam always insists that he can drink just as much as them and not get drunk even though he does every single time.
“So what exactly are we doing again?” Sam asks from atop Steve’s shoulders. He had climbed up after not even twenty minutes of walking because he was tired. He shoves some bread into his mouth while he looks at Bucky for an answer.
“We have to find some elf broad for this dick of a prince.” Bucky’s fists haven't been unclenched since they left town. He stalks ahead of his friends in his annoyance without realizing it. His annoyance only amuses Steve because he knows that once they get to Tavin and pick up a trail he’s going to be on top of it.
“Bucky’s still upset that the prince didn’t give us a description or anything to work with.” Steve looks up at the halfling on his shoulders as he explains the hostility in their friend's voice.
“I’m annoyed because the guy seems like an ass!” Bucky yells back over his shoulder.
“An elf gal huh? I have the perfect song for this!”
“No!” Bucky doesn’t even need to turn around to know that Sam’s reaching behind him to grab the lute that he made them stop to buy on their way out.
“Fine but only because it’ll be tough to play on someone's shoulders.”
After a long time of walking the trio comes to a crossroads and according to the map they have, both paths will eventually lead them to Tavin.
“I’ve been to Tavin before, if we go right we’ll get there faster than if we go left.” Bucky looks at Steve and points his thumb over his shoulder at the path to the right of the sign.
“Buck, I’ve gone to Tavin a hundred times. If we go left it’ll take longer, yes, but there’s a small village in between us and Tavin that we could stop at to rest and pick up whatever we’ll need.”
“Steve, if I wanted to stop at a town I would’ve said we should go left. The prince said that we should find her before daddy dearest finds out so we should take the quicker path. And I don’t know about you but I want this over and done with already.”
Their bickering continues for a short while before Sam gets annoyed and looks at the map himself. He takes into consideration what bothe of his friends said and how much he would want to walk before he starts walking one way while bringing his lute around his shoulder.
“Where are you going?” Steve calls out to Sam while Bucky smirks at him knowing that Sam’s just made their decision and went with his path.
“I’m gonna find me an elf lover!” After speaking Sam immediately starts to strum and sing a song about the love between an elf and a halfling. Steve shoots his own smirk at Bucky knowing that he’s gonna have to deal with his singing now. BUcky only groans before they both follow close behind Sam.
“Why did I have to befriend a bard?”
“Because said bard has saved your ass on more than one occasion.” Sam answers the rhetorical question still strumming along.
“Shut it shortstack, you were only able to help because no one can see you coming.”
“Can we just all agree that you’re both idiots and move on with our lives? I’d rather not spend the whole trip listening to the two of you argue the whole time.” Steve can’t speak without chuckling over how ridiculous his friends are.
“Alright.” Sam goes back to his song.
“Fine.”
The trio walks on for hours with Sam playing songs here and there and all of them cracking jokes at one another. They walk until after sundown and well into the night. Thanks to the stash of food Sam always has, they don’t even need to stop to hunt for some food.
“Can we stop walking now? It’s starting to get so dark we can’t see the path.” Sam asks as clouds begin to drape around the moon dimming their light source.
“Maybe for you but that’s why I’m here.”
“He’s right, Bucky. We should set up camp for the night, we could all use some sleep anyway.”
“Alright, c’mon, there’s a clearing off to the side of the path up ahead. We can set up there, I’ll start a fire.” Bucky leads his friends up the trail just a little farther before turning off of it and taking his pack off. He leaves Sam and Steve to set up the tent since the moon starts to peek through the clouds providing just enough light to work and goes off to search for wood for a fire. When he comes back he finds Steve sitting outside of the tent with Sam sleeping soundly inside.
“Do you think we really need a fire? I’m getting ready to head in to sleep too.”
“You’re telling me this now? After you let me go off to find the wood.” He drops all the wood at his feet before moving to sit next to Steve.
“I thought you could use some time to yourself to calm down a bit about this quest.” Bucky just nods at him and leans back on his hands.
“Do you really think we’re gonna find the girl Steve?” He asks after a moment of silence passes by.
“Of course I do Buck. As soon as we get a hint of where she is you’ll be able to find her in no time.”
“But what if she doesn’t want to be found?”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ve been thinking and the prince said that no one knew she was visiting right? So how would anyone of known to kidnap her from the kingdom? She could have just run away, I mean the prince doesn’t seem like he’s much of a catch, if I was being forced to marry him I would run away too.”
“I don’t know Buck, from what I’ve heard arranged marriages are rare even among elves. I’m sure if they were getting married they knew each other. I’m gonna head to bed, you should too.”
“Yeah, I will in a bit.” Steve nods and heads into the tent while Bucky looks up at the moon. He can’t help but believe that Steve’s wrong. It has to be an arranged marriage, why else would the prince not know what she looks like.He sits there thinking to himself and looking up at the moon for a while before making his way into the tent.
***
“Rise and shine sleepy head! It’s time to get this show on the road!” Sam bursts into the tent strumming wildly on his lute to get Bucky up. The tiefling groans and flicks Sam with his tail before sitting up. “Shit! You’re so fucking grumpy when you wake up.”
“Because it means another day of having to deal with you.”
“Yeah whatever, put a shirt on and come outside so we can pack up the tent already.”
“Morning Buck.” Steve greets from his spot on the ground where he’s looking at the map. “It looks like we’ll make it to Tavin by noon.” Bucky finishes pulling his shirt over his head as he walks over to his friends to take a look in the food pack.
“Morning.” A strand of his hair falls over his forehead and he runs a hand through his hair between his horns. “The pack’s almost empty, we’ll have to get more food when we get to Tavin.”
“Steve got up and caught some rabbits so that’s something.” Sam speaks in between bites of the roll he has in his hands. He nods his head towards the fire that the rabbits are cooking on.
“You’re not allowed to hold the pack anymore Sam.”
“What, why?”
“I know you’re the one eating all the food. You can be in charge of the tent pack from now on. Now come help me take it apart while Steve finishes packing everything else.”
Bucky and Sam get their gear out of the tent before starting to tear it down. Bucky throws his cloak on and packs up his leather armor while he leaves Sam to pack up each piece of the tent. When Sam starts to reach for the food pack Bucky grabs it before swinging it over his shoulder with his own stuff. And once more they start their journey to Tavin.
***
Tavin is a lively town with merchants and musicians littering the streets. The people loitering around seem happy as they laugh and talk amongst each other. Bucky brings his hood over his head as they reach the crowded town, hiding his horns the best he can. He never knows how people will react to seeing a tiefling walking among them so unless he’s normally in a town he’ll do this.
“You think we should try the tavern first?” Steve asks while motioning to the building with a sign reading ‘La Luna’.
“Yeah, if that doesn’t work we can start asking merchants.”
“Well, what are we waiting for, let’s go!” Sam speeds up thinking he’ll get some food and a drink while they’re there. Just outside of the tavern Bucky grabs onto the back of Sam's shirt successfully stopping him as he tries to keep walking.
“We’re not here to drink, got it?” Sam groans.
“Yeah, yeah, just here to get information. You’re no fun, you know that?” Bucky ignores his friend and follows Steve up to the bartender. Sam grumbles to himself but soon gets distracted by a pretty dwarf sitting in a corner of the place, packing up some food.
“Hey there newcomers, can I get you anything?” The barkeep greets Bucky and Steve as they approach the bar.
“No thanks,” Steve says as he leans against the counter, “we’re just wondering if you could help us find someone.”
“Barely a soul comes through here that I don’t know.”
“We’re looking for a moon elf princess, you seen her?”
“We don’t see a lot of royalty in these parts.” Bucky slides a few coins across the bar knowing how this process works. “Yeah, I’ve seen her. She’s a bit of a regular when she’s out adventuring. Pops actually named this place in honor of her.”
“Has she been here recently?”
“Was here just yesterday, met up with a clan of dwarves who’re here all the time. She left with them.”
“You know where we can find those dwarves?” Bucky leaves a few more coins on the counter.
“You got a map?”
Meanwhile Sam tries to shoot his shot with the dwarf maiden he had spotted.
“Hey sweet thing, my friends and I are in town looking for someone, but I think I might just be who you’re looking for.”
“Maybe you are.” She sends Sam a flirty smile. “But that might depend on who you’re looking for.” And boy is Sam weak to attractive women because he’s quick to spill the beans.
“Some elf princess, I’m sure she doesn’t match your beauty though.”
“Where are you friends now?”
“Over there, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind waiting around if I told them I was leaving with a pretty lady.” Sam points over at Steve and Bucky who’re talking to the bartender and the dwarf watches as Bucky slides coins across the counter with wide eyes.
“I actually have to go.” She leaves in a rush and Sam just shrugs.
“Her loss.” He makes his way over to his friends as the bartender points at the map in front of him.
“Sam, we’ve got a lead.”

They meet a human with dwarfism, how do they react ? ( the not-whole Company + Gimli + Dain + Thrain + Thror)
( none of the gifs or pictures are mine )
for @tolkien-fantasy \^o^/ based on THEIR POST
if I offend in what I have written, come and tell me :) so that I can correct, apologize proprely and not make the same mistakes :D
Tumblr media
( This is Peter Dinklage an actor who played in Games of Throne, The Station Agent, Threshold, Nip/Tuck, Underdog, Narnia Prince Caspian, I think we are alone now AND many others films, he gives his voice in many animated films, and won some Emmy Awards. That guy is epic !)
Thorin
Tumblr media
-He already felt betrayed by the Elves and didn't have the humans in his heart, knowing that a handicap was named after his kind doesn't help matters
-he is even more reluctant to help humans
-and every time he has to be in negotiations with one of them he makes it clear
-”Oh, you need weapons? It's a pity that we don't provide the traitors and hypocrites with them.”
-he doesn't know how to behave with you. He may know that you are human, but your small size makes him feel comfortable with you and he wants to treat you as if you were one of his people.
-he doesn't know if it offends you when he treats you as one of his own
-after a while he offers you a place in Ered Luin, where your small size will be anything but a handicap or whatever the humans think
Balin
Tumblr media
-he has already heard about this
-he sees it as a kind of mistake that Aulë made
-that Aulë originally made you one of his children, but that he accidentally put the child with the humans
-then it doesn't matter that you are human, that you don't know anything about dwarf customs, about dwarf history, he considers you as a dwarf
-the fact that the humans called it "dwarfism" is for him a proof that they also understood that Aulë had made a mistake
-he tells you what he thinks about you and your so-called "disability
-he will be happy to teach you everything there is to know about dwarfs
Dwalin
Tumblr media
-he thinks you are an Orc, that all this is a trick of Azog
-you can't be human and look like a dwarf it's impossible for him
-he is convinced that you are trying to gain their trust and then betray them
-it is when he understands that his words have hurt you and you start to cry that he apologizes and tries to understand better
-he didn't like humans before, but when he learns that a disability was named after the people he belongs to, he hates them completely
-it's a good thing he didn't have to talk to them much because all he says after that is "Fuck you” to them
-if you are complexed by your disability he will be even more angry against humans
Oin
Tumblr media
-he has already seen and spoken with humans with dwarfism
-he tells you, crying with laughter, about the first time he met a human-dwarf as he calls them
-he doesn't totally share Balin's idea that you will be a lost child of Aulë but he considers you as one of his kind nevertheless
-he is very comfortable with you and does not mince words when he tells you what he thinks of this so-called "disability" and what he thinks of humans who perceive it as a handicap
-”Look at me! I'm as small as you are and that's no reason why I can't beat a man in a fight!"
-he proudly tells you about all the times he broke people's knees, family jewels and other places of the human’s body
Gloin
Tumblr media
-”Hey! There's a dwarf that got lost!"
-he thinks you are one of them, that you have been separated from your group/convoy for an unknown reason and that now you live with humans
-as he is Oin's brother he has already heard of humans-dwarfs but he has never met one before
-”If you don't like your life with humans, I adopt you”
-he sends a letter to his wife telling her that he has adopted a half-dwarf
-he shares Balin's idea that you are a lost child of Aulë but as you are technically a human he calls you a half-dwarf
-in any case as long as you don't live with the dwarfs he calls you that
-is he angry that humans have named this handicap after them? yes
-but he would rather take care of you and make you feel better or teach you about dwarf life than stay focused on his anger
Dori
Tumblr media
-he is desperate for humans
-”They named a disability after us? By Mahal they are even dumber than I thought."
-he doesn't even dare to imagine how you were treated by your fellow men
-he is not even angry, he is simply dismayed. He knew that humans could be untrustworthy or disrespectful at times but this is unbelievable
-he doesn't even take the time to think about it for long, he absolutely wants you to tell him how you feel so he can take care of you
-he does not believe that you are a lost child of Aulë but that does not prevent him from taking you under his wing
-He is your mom now
Ori
Tumblr media
-he is so confused at first
-you are not a dwarf but you look like a dwarf but you are a human but not as tall as human and your disability is named “dwarfism” but you are still a human ?
-angry to learn that the disability is named after his kind
-all the humans he meets are afraid when they see his murderous look and death glare
-you become  siblings very quickly
Nori
Tumblr media
-learning that a disability has been named after them makes him angry
-to take revenge he commits many robberies and thefts in the human cities in your company
-he teaches you everything he knows about stealing  correctly and without ever getting caught
-your duo becomes the worst nightmare of humans because you have fun leaving lots of clues and false leads but no one can get their hands on you
-he teaches you to use your small size to your advantage in a world of large sizes
-for once his big brother Dori totally agrees with what his little brother is doing and encourages both of you
Bifur
Tumblr media
-he will take a long time to understand that you are not a dwarf
-he will be confused when he speaks to you in Khuzdul and Iglishmêk and you will not understand
-he insists in spite of everything! Maybe you have lost your memory and will eventually remember your language?
-after long explanations with Oin he will eventually understand that you are human
-it won't change much for him
-you were one of his before he understood the truth, and you remain so after
-and even if he is a little reluctant to teach you khuzdul as he did when he thought you had lost your memory, he will eventually start again
Bofur
Tumblr media
-he is surprised to meet a human with dwarfism and like Dain he thinks that you have been raised by humans but that you are one of them
-he has a little trouble understanding at first why it is seen as a disability
-he is not angry with humans, only confused and saddened that they would despise his kind so much after all that the dwarves have done for the humans
-he teaches you to fight with a pickaxe
-he often forgets that you are not a dwarf when he tells you a joke that only dwarfs can understand
Bombur
Tumblr media
-as soon as you say your name he has already adopted you
-he finds you a bit skinny for a dwarf and makes it his mission to fill you up
-his mission does not change after he learns that you are human
-you still need to eat to be strong
-he doesn't care at all that humans have named a handicap after them
-the important thing is you, and that you feel good
Gimli
Tumblr media
-it's been months since he's seen one of his own, so when he sees you he goes straight to talking about Erebor and what he thinks are your people for both of you two
-it is with embarrassment that you tell him that you are human and not dwarf
-he apologizes, he really apologizes, he is afraid to have offended you
-in spite of everything he asks you how it is that you are his size when you are a human
-when you tell him that you have dwarfism, he does not understand, he is confused
-“Does this mean that you are half dwarfed by one of your parents?”
-”No, master dwarf, it's a handicap that humans sometimes have. We are born with it.”
-never had Gimli uttered so many insults in so many different languages as when he learned that a handicap was named after his people
-he wants to know the name of the human who gave the name to this handicap and show him what his axe thinks about it
-after his moment of fury you become good friends
-sometimes he forgets so much that you are human above all that he speaks to you in Khuzdul
Dain Ironfoot
Tumblr media
-you are not a human child but you don't act like a dwarf either
-the logical thing for him is that you are a dwarf adopted by humans, that you grew up among them, were raised among them
-it makes him terribly sad to imagine that you have never known your true people, your true customs and traditions, the songs and the forge and your language
-then he greets you with a headbutt and knocks you out, to his great dismay and incomprehension
-you have to tell him at least three times before he understands that you are human and have a handicap called "dwarfism“
-”So...humans think that being a dwarf is a handicap? I will tell them what I think about their bullshit !”
-if humans thought they could get away with it they were wrong
-after that he won't really wait if you agree or not, he will drag you to the Iron Hills, cover you with gold and jewels and offer you the best clothes he can find
-he won't try to change you or make you a dwarf , all he wants is to offer you a place where your handicap will never be one
Thrain
Tumblr media
-the first time he sees you is when he is walking through the town of Dale after an important meeting with the king of Dale
-The first thing that jumps out at him is your clothes and he is surprised to see that you are wearing human clothes and not dwarves clothes
-he is even more surprised to see that your hair is not styled like that of the dwarfs
-even if he has mistaken you for one of his own, he senses that something is not right
-then he comes directly to you
-When you tell him that you are indeed human and that you have a disability called dwarfism, he is a little offended
-"Are you telling me that being a dwarf is seen as a handicap by humans?"
-he is not angry with you, even if his reaction may make you think so, he is just angry that humans are so hypocritical
-Like, they are under the protection of the most powerful of the Dwarf Kingdoms, helped, protected and prospered by a descendant of Durin, one of the sons of Aule and all they do to thank them is to name a handicap after them ????
-the word “insulted” is not strong enough to describe what he feels
-he is so angry that he goes straight to the King of Dale's office and confronts him with the situation
-he absolutely wants to know how you are treated among humans
-he yells that from now on you are officially one of his people and that humans can go fuck themselves for a very long time before a new alliance is made between Erebor and Dale
-after what has just happened he comes to you and asks for forgiveness if he has embarrassed you and offers you a place in Erebor
-he officially adopts you as one of his own children
Thror
Tumblr media
-the first time he saw you was when you came to his city, it was when the human ambassadors of Dale came for his help
-he was quite intrigued to see a dwarf in the company of humans
-as he took you for one of his own, he spoke to you first. He thought the humans chose you as their ambassador, what better way to negotiate with a dwarf king than one of his own?
-imagine his face when one of the ambassadors answered that you had a “disease” called "dwarfism" and that you were indeed human
-and to see his blue eyes become cold and icy, the ambassadors quickly understood that they had just said a huge bullshit
-In a calm and composed yet threatening voice, Thror asks them to repeat their phrase: "Did you just tell me, gentlemen, that you named a 'disease' taking inspiration from MY KIND ?"
-it seems that the negotiations start on the best conditions :D
-the ambassadors try to catch up as they can but it's too late, Thror sends them back and not in the most diplomatic way possible
-but not you. He wants you to stay and talk with you.
-you both talk for a long time about who you are and your life among humans
-for him it is a sign that Aulë has recognized you as one of his children long before you were born and that your place is here if you agree to stay living in Erebor
-since you know the human world so well, he makes you his ambassador for all negotiations that affect the human cities around Erebor
-he adopted you as soon as he laid eyes on you and now makes sure you learn to fight properly and everything there is to know about dwarf culture
-even though he understands that you were born human, he addresses you as one of his own and talks about "your" customs and "your" traditions when he talks about the dwarf culture
-if he hears a single dwarf questioning what you are, that dwarf will be summoned to the throne room
-he behaves with you as with any of his own. If a human or an elf insults you, it is all the dwarves that this human or this elf has insulted
-the human ambassadors have to beg for very, very, very long months before he agrees to receive them and start negotiations (but there again it will be very, very long and painful negotiations for them)

In (Gold) Sickness and In Health
Pairing: Human Female!Reader/Thorin
Request: @anjhope1 requested a human reader with Thorin for the prompt: “I’m done. We’re done.”
Brief Summary: After the Battle of the Five Armies and Thorin’s actions under the Gold Sickness, you wonder if things between you and Thorin will ever be repaired.
Warnings: Violence and injuries
A/N: Gold sick Thorin is a gold mine (pun intended) for angst. Thanks to @anjhope1 for being so so patient and kind!!! I’ve never really written anything other than headcannons and I really enjoyed this!! I have a long list of fic ideas that I hope to write after school ends and this really got the ball rolling! :D
@fromthedeskoftheraven (who inspired me to actually start writing <333)
 —————————————
“Thorin?” You called into the seemingly empty castle. Your voice echoed hauntingly. No response. You turned the corner and ventured into the treasury, though a part of you hoped you would not find him there. It was the only place he ever seemed to be, and not for good reason. You followed the sound of digging and hushed whispers. There you found Thorin talking to himself in furious murmurs, his voice tinged with hysteria. He seemed to be digging through the millions of glimmering treasures, bringing each item close to his face for a thorough inspection, and then scoffing angrily and throwing it over his shoulder at the discovery that it was not, in fact, the Arkenstone. You approached him quietly, gnawing on your bottom lip worriedly. You were soon only a few steps behind him, his back to you, yet he made no notice of you.
“Thorin?” He didn’t even flinch. You, about fed up with all of this, put your hand on one of his shoulders and lightly shook it. He whirled around instantly, a mad expression on his face that only eased slightly when he saw you.
“Ah, (Y/n). How have you been?” He asked absentmindedly, his gaze still stuck on the gem in his hand.
“Well, I’ve been better I suppose. Things are not looking good out there Thorin. I worry.” You made sure to keep your voice as non-confrontational as possible, because if you were being honest, you were a bit afraid of Thorin at the moment. You weren’t sure if you even recognized the dwarf in front of you. He finally raised his eyes to look at you. His lips curved into a slightly mad smile, one that showed altogether too many teeth. “You have nothing to worry about, my love. Once I have the Arkenstone, everything will be taken care of. The world will finally put itself to rights.” His eyes seemed to reflect the very gold covering the floor. You frowned at this response.
“Thorin, I know finding the Arkenstone is important to you, but I don’t know if it is the… greatest concern at the moment. The people of Laketown need our assistance, and there is talk of an orcish army heading our way.” Thorin’s head snapped up, and he took an intimidating step forward. You were almost nose to nose.
“Finding the Arkenstone is my one and only concern, as it should be yours,” he snarled. “Are you not on my side? Do you not want to see me as King?” You took a tentative step back.
“Of course I’m on your side, Thorin. I only want what is best for you.” Your voice turned stern. “But a King should be generous and fair, should know when to help others.
“A King,” he growled, “is measured only by the amount of wealth he has. If I don’t have the Arkenstone, I have nothing but these pathetic jewels.” You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Your stomach churned at hearing the words he spoke. This was not Thorin. The man you knew and loved, who once spoke so passionately of honor and loyalty. Your sadness and grief were soon overpowered by anger. Not only does he speak such horrid, greedy words, but he would dare be so dismissive and uncaring towards his own beloved?
“You have nothing?” You asked in disbelief, your voice hard. “What about me? Your wife, remember? What do I mean to you? We have spent almost no time with each other since Laketown, I am surprised you even remember my name,” you said bitterly. Thorin’s eyes seemed to lighten a few shades. But it was still not your Thorin. And his next words only proved that.
“I have not forgotten about you amralime. I will have you. Seated on a throne next to mine. Adorned in precious jewels and fine cloths. My most prized possession.”
You suddenly lost all of your fear. Fists clenched tight at your sides, you spat out, “I am not a thing to be had! I am my own person.”
“You are my wife!” He roared back, “You will do as I say, and you will like it!” Your lip curled in disgust and dismay at this.
“Is that really what you think marriage means?!” Your tone, while still angry, held a hint of desperation, as if you were hoping Thorin would apologize for whatever sick joke this seemed to be. But alas, that did not happen. He only stayed silent, his eyes unfocused. Whatever clarity they had gained earlier had once again vanished.
The harsh silence created a lump in your throat. You swallowed once, and in a shaky voice said, “Well, then. I am afraid I don’t know what to say. I don’t even know who I am looking at. Who even are you? This is not the Thorin I know and love, not the Thorin I married!”
His mouth opened in outrage, prepared to no doubt yell back, but you continued before he could get a word in. “You know what? I can’t do this anymore,” you started. You grabbed your marriage bead- elegantly and thoughtfully crafted by Thorin, and once so tenderly braided into your hair- and harshly ripped it out. You definitely pulled out quite a few hairs along with it, but you couldn’t bring yourself to care at the moment.
You curled your shaking hand around the small bead, and spoke. “I’m done. We’re done.” In a fit of intense anger and disappointment, you chucked your bead straight at Thorin’s head. You instantly ran as fast as you could in the opposite direction, fearing his reaction. You figured he did not see that coming, and was frozen in shock and confusion for a moment.
As you sprinted down the vast empty hallways, you heard Thorin’s enraged roar in the distance. You ran and ran and ran. You quickly gathered your belongings when you passed the room you had been staying in, and made your way out of the mountain. You said goodbye to none of the company. You ran and you didn’t look back. You squinted your eyes, trying to find your way in what was left of the daylight.
Tears ran in rivers down your face, and they didn’t stop. Not when you found Bard in Laketown. Not when you reunited with Bilbo and approved his plan. Not when you came across a small room to spend the night in.
You slid down the wall of the room, sobs tearing at your throat, as you looked at the split pieces of hair that once secured your marriage bead. How could everything have gone so wrong so fast? Smaug was dead. The mountain was reclaimed. Everything was supposed to be back to normal. You were supposed to be living happily in Erebor with Thorin.
But you weren’t.
You screamed into the night, “Why? Why?” Why did things have to happen like this? Why did Thorin have to be struck with the Gold Sickness after everything he had been through? Why did you two not gain happiness and peace? Did you not deserve that?
There was no answer. The universe was silent.
You were not only angry with Thorin. You were angry at yourself. Were you a coward for reacting the way you did? Did you give up too easily, running right when things got hard? Maybe you were a coward, but you simply couldn’t stand to see Thorin like that any longer. It made you sick to your stomach and tore at your heart.
With a wet laugh, you thought back to your wedding, which took place only about a month earlier. It is odd how things can change so much in so little time. That day had been the happiest of your life. Now here you were, at your lowest, with not even your husband to comfort you.
The company had been staying in Laketown for the time being. After a much needed relaxing night (free of the stress of orc attacks), you awoke blearily to Thorin’s smiling face. His rough hands tenderly cradled your face.
“Will you marry me?” He asked it in such a soft tone, and you were still so tired, you couldn’t help but wonder if this was just a strange, albeit wonderful, dream. After clarification that it was not, in fact, a dream, and a discussion with Thorin, you two decided to get married that very night. After all, you two were each other’s Ones. Why should you not? You were crazy in love, and you two hadn’t known contentment like you did during this resting period of the quest. There was also the lingering fear that one, or both of you wouldn’t survive for much longer.
After your affirmative response to Thorin’s question, tears of joy were shed by both of you. That day was full of warm, fuzzy feelings (and frantic planning by Dori and Balin, who despite being quite pleased with the decision, were extremely frazzled with the short amount of time left to prepare). You didn’t have an expensive, ornate dress (you borrowed one of Sigrid’s). There wasn’t a huge crowd. Just the company (plus Sigrid, Tilda, and Bain- Sigrid and Tilda because they wanted to experience the romantic declaration of love and commitment, and Bain because, in his words, his sisters “forced him to come”).
But it was perfect. It was all you could have wanted. Kíli, ever the jokester, insisted on being the “flower girl.” Fíli was the bead bearer (like a ring bearer, but with beads, because you and Thorin wanted to do it the dwarrow way). Balin was the justice of the peace. Bombur made a wonderful cake, especially considering the lack of resources.
It was a magical day. Your wildest dream had finally become a reality.
You remembered the vows from your wedding. You remembered the promise you made on that day. ‘For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health.’ You couldn’t help but snort at the unfortunate irony of that.
You wondered what Thorin was thinking right now. Was the gold sickness still plaguing his mind? Or was he too thinking back to your wedding day, to the broken promises left between you two?
You crawled into bed and tried to calm your thoughts, to no avail. You laid your head on the flat pillow, feeling oddly numb. You let your eyes flutter shut, a lone tear escaping to trail down your now puffy face.
No sleep was had that night.
 ———————————————
Around you, the battlefield raged. You had arisen early in the morning, for the orcish army was no longer just a rumor, but a promise. A promise of war. The knowledge of the bloodshed the future held electrified you, helping you to use your fear and anger to aid your fight. You wielded your sword with ferocity and confidence, a scowl on your face as you quickly swiped at the blood that dribbled down the side of your face. Your head swiveled at every sound as you frantically looked to see if you recognized any faces around you.
You plunged your sword into an approaching orc, making a face at the horrid squelch it produced as you pulled out your blade. You ran across the battlefield, swiftly killing any orcs that dared get in your way.
What you saw in the far distance, through squinted eyes, made your heart drop into your stomach.
You saw Thorin, fighting Azog on the ice.
You watched as the pale orc fell off of the chunk of ice he stood on, and into the murky abyss. You prayed to all of the Valar that he was dead. But fate was not on your side. You watched in horror as a knife plunged upwards from below the ice and impaled Thorin’s right foot.
You heard his guttural roar of pain, and your body moved into action. You ran as fast as you could, your chest and legs burning. But you were still too far away. Everything now seemed to be happening in slow motion. You could still hear the echo of Thorin’s cry in your head.
Suddenly, Azog jumped out of the water and landed on his feet. Thorin was on his back blocking each strike from Azog to the best of his ability. All that you heard was the sharp clang of metal against metal and your own blood roaring in your ears.
You felt something harden within you. You were no longer afraid. You had only one job, and that was to save Thorin. Azog’s blade was now only inches away from Thorin’s chest. Thorin grit his teeth and gasped deeply, using every bit of his strength in an effort to block the attack.
You were sprinting straight towards Azog’s back. You had absolutely no plan. Common sense and battle strategy had officially left the building. Yet your rage towards Azog, who had already taken so much from Thorin, fueled your fight.
You propelled yourself up, in a strange burst of strength, and clawed your way up Azog’s back, clinging to him. He grunted and twisted his head around. But before he could do anything more, you drove your sword into his back with all of your might.
Azog’s roar seemed to shake the very ground he stood on. Your hands, slick with sweat, burned as they tightly grasped the hilt of your sword. Your heart sped up as you tried to pull your weapon out to strike once again, but it was stuck. Azog turned, his face now pulled into a sickly sneer, and he slashed at your shoulder with his sword. You hissed in pain, and jerked yourself away. You saw Thorin breathing deeply and attempting to get up out of the corner of your eye.
Go, you screamed at him in your head. Go, my love. Leave and get to safety.
Seeing Thorin in pain, thanks to Azog, filled you with a boiling rage. It filled you up from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head- a fiery, molten lava swirling inside of you.
Your lips twisted into a ferocious snarl as your hands tightened on the hilt of your sword. You twisted the sword further into Azog’s wound, plunging it deeper into his mangled flesh. As you twisted one last time, you pulled it out with a hard gasp. Azog’s stinking, black blood splattered your neck and arms.
You still clung to the pale orc’s back and shoulders, your nails digging into his scarred skin. He thrashed and blindly slashed at you, but you held tight still. You kept your mind sharp, blocking and ducking to avoid his stabs. Reaching your hand into your bloodstained tunic, you hurriedly patted yourself down, frantically searching, until your hand was greeted by your hidden blade.
You grabbed the hilt of the sharp knife and whipped it out. You positioned yourself so that your feet were pressing into Azog’s back. You drew your arm back and threw the blade, with masterful precision, into the back of Azog’s neck. He roared once again, his head spasming, and made to grab you.
Unfortunately, this time, you were unable to avoid his grasp. His sharp nails dug into your neck as he grabbed you and pulled your body off of his back. He held you in front of him with only his right hand, the blade at the end of his metal arm pointed at your throat. You felt the pressure building on your throat, and a low buzzing noise started to take over. The blade dug painfully into your flesh, and you felt it begin to break the skin. All of your previous confidence had vanished. You were now at the mercy of the pale orc.
Azog gave a sickening smile, his pointed teeth glistening with blood. He issued a raspy chuckle that chilled you to your core. Time seemed to slow down once again as he drove the blade of his arm into your side. You gave a sharp intake of breath, as if you could not fathom what was happening, before you let loose an ear-splitting yell of pain. Your voice crumbled and cracked as you screamed until your vocal cords were weak. In the back of your subconscious, you registered a voice, desperately screaming your name. You struggled uselessly, trying to escape the pain. The blade felt hot, as if your insides were being lit on fire and seared open. You wondered for a moment why he did not completely skewer you, and quickly rid himself of your bothersome presence, until it hit you. He wanted your death to be agonizing. Slow and painful. You felt the blade being slowly pushed deeper in, creating a sickening puncturing sensation, and you could do nothing. It must have been almost halfway through you at this point. He tightened his other hand around your throat, and you saw spots floating at the edges of your line of vision.
You were dancing at the edge of oblivion, barely holding onto consciousness, when you felt your hand which dangled at your side, still clutching your sword. A glimmer of hope sparked inside you. With a guttural cry of pain, you used your last bit of strength. Your arm elongated at your side and rose before you swiftly cleaved Azog’s head from his shoulders. Your face was promptly sprayed with his blood and innards, before his hold on your neck loosened, his grasp slack. His severed head hit the ground with a satisfying klunk, his eyes glazed over. His body collapsed to the ground with a loud thud, bringing you down with him.
You gave a low groan of pain at the impact. Azog’s arm, still impaled in the side of your torso, left the two of you attached. You slowly took your sword, whimpering softly at the painful stretching the motion caused, and sawed off the small bit of flesh that attatched the metalwork to his body. You were left sitting on the ice, a blade sticking out of you, as a ringing filled your ears. You heard your name being called, and a blurry figure made its way into your field of vision. You squinted your eyes, trying to see who it was. Once your vision cleared, you breathed a shaky sigh of relief.
Thorin was here.
He hobbled over to you, his wounded foot dragging behind him. He lowered himself to the ice slowly. He looked at you with such sorrow as he scooted closer and cupped your face. His warm hands grounded you to reality. You felt every callous on them as he softly ran his fingers along the sides of your face, his touch only a whisper.
“Ghivashel,” he started, his voice cracking. “I-
“No,” you interrupted, your voice hoarse from the abuse it had endured. You gave a pathetic cough and said once more in a slightly stronger voice, “No. Not right now.”
Tears ran down his face, their clean tracks a stark contrast to the dirtied skin it ran down. “I am so sorry. So very sorry. I cannot even begin to apologize for all I have-“
You reached forward and put your finger against Thorin’s lips. You gave a soft smile. “I know,” you replied. You brushed his hair out of his face gently. “We have much to discuss. Many things have been left unsaid.” You gazed into his warm blue eyes, “But right now, just be here. Be here with me, my love.”
Thorin’s lips quivered slightly as he gave a sad smile of agreement. He gently positioned you so that your head was resting in his lap. You gazed up into his face. The soft cloth of his tunic tickled the back of your neck. The warmth of his body was much more comforting compared to the harsh cold of the ice you both lie on. The pain would have been almost unbearable, but Thorin’s presence was like a balm to both your soul and body. He took on a tinge of panic as his eyes locked onto the blade sticking out of your side. Knowing he should not simply pull the weapon out, he quickly tore fabric from his body and wrapped your side with it, securing the sword into place, so it wouldn’t move and cause more damage. You reached out and grasped his hand, your fingers shaking slightly as they ran over his bloodied knuckles.
“Thorin,” you rasped. “You are here.”
“Aye,” he replied softly, his eyes glistening in the light.
“My bead,” you begged. Thorin looked confused for a moment, before understanding lit up his eyes. He pulled out your marriage bead, that you had thrown at him not long ago, from inside his tunic. He had evidently kept it on himself. He took your hair into his hands, and quickly wove a small braid into your hair, placing the bead at the end of it. He moved aside his own hair, showing you his marriage bead that still lie in his own braid. You gave a watery smile as you clutched at his hand.
After a pause, you spoke. “You are mine, and I am yours.”
“Always,” he replied, his voice strong. “My wife,” he added after a moment, the word an unspoken promise. My husband, you thought warmly. He ducked his head down to meet your own, and placed a soft, lingering kiss on your lips, his hand cradling the back of your neck. You responded in kind, deepening the kiss. You felt as if the part of yourself that had broken earlier had been sewn back together. You were whole again. You let out a soft sigh of contentment as Thorin pressed his forehead gently to rest on your own, his eyelids fluttering shut in the moment.
The King slid himself down, so that he too was laying down. Your head rested on his chest. His large hand rubbed soothing circles gently on your back as you breathed shakily in and out. You gazed out over the ice and saw eagles flying in the distance. You gave a grin of relief and squeezed Thorin’s hand. Healers were rapidly bustling about, gathering the wounded and tending to them. You had no doubt that you and Thorin would receive the help you required soon.
But for now, you were here. And he was here. You were together at last, once again. Your hands intertwined in each other’s, your head tucked under his chin as he planted soft kisses on your head and murmured soothing words into your hair.
“My King,” you said softly, petting the soft hair of his beard as your hand ran over his jaw.
“My Queen,” he responded, his voice full of emotion, as he pulled you into one more kiss, your bodies melding closer together.
The eagles were coming. And all was well.

A/N 2: I hope you guys liked that! I am very new to writing, so I know I have lots of room for improvement, but I really enjoyed writing this. By the way, I do not picture Thorin and the reader dying at the end, but it is kind of a vague ending, so if you want to imagine that happening, no problem! (It would be quite tragically romantic, them dying in each other’s arms). Though personally, I like to imagine that they both eventually recover from their injuries and everyone lives happily ever after in Erebor with their beloved King and Queen under the mountain! :)

(gif not mine)
MASTERLIST | AO3
(Y/N) strutted through the vast halls and caverns of Erebor with Kili at her side. The two mischievous pranksters were sneaking about the dark corridors with one mission: avoiding Thorin.
Three days prior, the two had orchestrated what one would call a mishap with feathers and honey. It was meant to be just a tiny prank gifted to the King Under the Mountain, but it turned into the most unpleasant, defective, and abominable incident to ever grace the dwarven halls. So much so that it was whispered about constantly for many days to come.
Thorin, of course, knew who the culprits were but he had more important matters to attend to—not that anyone was aware of that, not until now that is.
Kili and (Y/N) dodged the eyes of the stern dwarven guards and quickly made their way to spy on the one they were hiding from.
It was here when the secret that the King had tried so hard to keep was revealed.
Through a small crack in the stony wall, the throne room could be seen—well, some of the throne room and only one person at a time that is.
(Y/N) shoved Kili with her hip. “Move! I can’t see!” She whispered.
The young dwaro prince stumbled away as she peered into the meeting taking place between Thorin and the older prince, Fili.
(Y/N) could make out Thorin sitting upon his green tinted throne and Fili before him. She let her eyes linger on the Prince for a moment, for she could not resist the urge to do so. The way the flickering light of blazing torches reflected upon his skin made his features glow. Every freckle, every crease, every hair upon his beard—each detail seems to reflect the beauty within his soul. It made (Y/N)’s heart scream out for her to break free from this undercover ‘mission’ and run to him—to tell him.
But that was not the outcome of the moment, for stinging harsh words bellowed into her ears.
“Fili, you are to marry a princess of the Broadbeams for their kingdom in Belegost are great allies and we need to solidify that relationship.”
No....no...
The breath that pasted between her lips seemed to be stolen as pain edged itself into her heart. She couldn’t breath, she couldn’t think, she could move. Every single sound around her drain out of the world and fade into nothingness.
She staggered away from the crack while the silence of shock infiltrated her mind.
This could not be happening.
(Y/N) could not stop the tears that weld up in her eyes. They streaked down her cheek as quickly as an dwarven axe would strike an orc. She could not stop the shakes that took over her body. They hammered into her soul and shattered whatever was left of it.
She could not stop any of it.
She could not stop the pain.
As the world was in a daze around her, she could vaguely make out Kili gripping her shoulders and speaking to her with concern. Yet, she could not hear him or respond for that matter.
The only thing that was real to her was her heart breaking like glass.
Kili must have dragged her to his room for when she regained some of her senses, she was sat upon his bed as he paced in front of her.
“We can stop this, (Y/N). We must! I know how you feel for Fili and as much as he hasn’t admitted it, I know he feels it too. What if we—“
(Y/N) interrupted him, shaking her head. “Kili, there is nothing we can do.”
He stopped his pacing as he stared at her with bewilderment. “Surely you do not mean that, (Y/N)?”
She lowered her head and quickly wiped away a crystal tear that had dared to escape.
“What is done is done, Kili.”
The dwarf’s brows creased together. He wouldn’t let this happen—he couldn’t let this happen.
.....
The neighboring dwarf kingdom arrived in Erebor soon after the announcement of the betrothal was made. Grand parties and a fabulous wedding were planned and organized. Erebor was bustling with business and excitement to say the least.
But not all of Erebor.
(Y/N) had been avoiding those socializations for she could not bare it. However, Kili had convinced her that she must come to at least one event for the simple reason of: ‘Fili needs to see what he’s missing.’
So she did.
(Y/N) clothed herself in the finest silk of the dwaro race and dressed her neck in the shimmering jewels of her home. It was not very often that she presented herself in such a way, but as Kili said, ‘this was a special occasion.’
When she entered the vast ballroom, which was decorated in the light of the most brilliant torches, she could feel every eye bush upon her.
Kili had been standing next to his brother and the eldest Broadbeam Prince.
“Who is that?” The visiting dwarf exclaimed.
Kili smirked for his plan was going well. “That is (Y/N), a close friend of mine. Shall I introduce you?”
He nodded and Kili began to lead him towards (Y/N), sending only a short glance back at his brother.
Fili, of course, stood as still as a deer blending into its surroundings. His lips were parted and his eyes shown with confusion, anger, frustration, and jealousy.
He did not want this aberrant stone-licker dancing with his (Y/N).
The older Prince swallowed dryly at his thoughts.
His (Y/N).
Those words rang in his head as he witnessed this Broadbeam Prince swing her around on the dance floor. Her lips, as flush as a raspberry, curved into the most dazzling smile. Her laugh sung into the air like early morning birds chanting their songs. Her body swayed with his, like a river running deep.
A murky, polluted, blackened river, Fili mumbled under his breath in irritation.
The Erebor Prince pinched the bridge of his nose before taking a giant swig of his ale. What he was about to do next he sure as hell couldn’t be sober for.
He took once last glance at (Y/N) and his jaw clenched tight as burning furry pooled in his chest.
Fili marched up to his Uncle, who was standing with the Broadbeam royals, and spurted out words he could never take back. “Uncle I cannot do it. I cannot marry her.”
Thorin’s plastered smiled melted and his eyes grew wide as the conversation between the group silenced.
“Aye, my nephew must have had too much to drink!” Thorin attempted to cover.
Fili shook his head, “No, what I speak is the truth. My heart belongs to another.”
With that he turned on his heel and made his way to the dance floor. He cut into the dance and snatched (Y/N) away from the wrong dwarven prince.
“Fili—“ She exclaimed with a rough gasp.
He shook his head and spoke quickly, “No, please let me speak. If I do not say this now, I never will. I cannot marry that Broadbeam girl.”
She interpret him with a frown, “Why not?”
Fili shook his head as his ability to use words dissipated from his skill set. Instead, he grasped the sides of her face and yanked her form against his. Without any hesitation, he kissed her. It was a forcefully kiss. One of heat, anger, jealousy, and regrets. He should have done this years ago and he knew it. (Y/N) did not mind his passion though, for she met it with her own. Their lips moved together like the dance of the wind—the murky river long forgotten.
Now this—this was what Thorin would now claim was the most unpleasant, defective, and abominable incident to ever grace the dwarven halls.

May I request 41 - First Kiss and 94 - Hair Brushing/Braiding for the Leverage OT3, please? (Also extra bonus points if you give Eliot beads in his hair like in The Ice Man Job, because we didn't get NEARLY enough of that in the show) Thank you!
I cannot believe I wrote this whole thing out and then never published it. I’m so sorry, it’s been at least twenty-four years since you sent in this ask, please accept my humble apologies and also this ficlet.
However, this prompt is just pure fluff, and I hate to tell you this but I am not a fluff writer. I just can’t pull off that unadulterated sweetness. I am in this fandom for the shenanigans, first, last and foremost! So this fic is now a 5+1 of Eliot and Parker trying to seduce Hardison.
1. Parker thinks they need to give him gifts, so she goes through her stash and picks out the largest, fanciest jewel she’s ever stolen. Then she realizes: Hardison likes stories. He spends hours giving their aliases histories and pets and allergies and favorite foods, he can get a whole sordid history of jealousy and betrayal from a single corporate email chain, and Parker knows for a cold fact that he writes little stories with his online friends about being wizards together.
She goes through her stash again and picks out the most cursed thing she’s ever stolen.
It’s a jeweled statuette, almost as tall as her forearm, made of gold and studded with precious and semi-precious stones. Mysterious deaths have befallen five separate owners of this thing. Its base is dented from the time it was used to bludgeon Owner Number Three to death. The tiny rubies it has for eyes follow you across the room.
Parker puts a bow on it and leaves it in Hardison’s room while he’s sleeping. He wakes up to this horrible little statue watching him from his bedside table.
He texts the group chat, Hey did anyone put an evil little gold guy in my bedroom last night? But Parker chickens out and says nothing (drunkenly betting Eliot that she can seduce Hardison is one thing, but admitting that she likes him is something else altogether). Everyone else texts back variations on “nope.” (Except Sophie, who just sends back a string of heart eyes emojis and a wikipedia link. She loves cursed artifacts.) So Hardison puts the statue away in a closet somewhere and figures he’ll deal with it later.
Parker is mildly offended that he put her gift in a closet. She goes into his room the next night and puts it back on the bedside table, where it clearly belongs.
This goes on for a week. Hardison puts the statue in a desk drawer, then in one of the cabinets in the office downstairs, then in the dumpster down the street. Every day he wakes up to those glittering red eyes watching him sleep. He’s asked his internet buddies if anyone knows a good exorcist. Hardison doesn’t really believe in curses, but also? What the fuck. What the fuck.

2. Eliot assumes the drunken bet will be forgotten by morning. What kind of world would it be if people always followed through on promises they made while they could barely stay vertical? So he spends the morning nursing his hangover and cleaning his knives. Cleaning guns is no good while hungover—all the snaps and clicks of popping things in and out of place sound like actual gunfire when you’re hungover, it’s a nightmare—but knives are quiet and have no moving parts. Buffing and polishing them is soothingly repetitive work, and every once in a while he can throw one at one of the dartboards on the walls and reassure himself that his reflexes are still sound even after that much tequila.
It’s only when he gets Hardison’s text about the golden statuette that magically appeared in his room overnight that Eliot realizes Parker’s actually going for it. After some internal debate about whether he’s going to stoop to this or not, Eliot decides what the hell and starts making plans.
Eliot agrees that gifts are the way to go, but not stolen gifts. Not things. Anyone can give a thing. Proper wooing is about giving experiences.
Eliot plans for three days. On the fourth day, he and Hardison have their irregularly scheduled monthly coffee date, and Eliot texts him beforehand to say he wants to do it at the brewpub this time. Hardison arrives to find a deceptively simple meal: basic country fare perfected through years of experimentation, made with the best ingredients Eliot can get his hands on. And Eliot, after all, is still a retrieval specialist. There’s very little in the world he can’t get his hands on.
And yet the night ends and somehow he has not gotten his hands on Hardison.
This is just not right. Eliot knows how to deploy a smolder, okay, Tangled reference aside he is damn good at flirting and he knows the looks he’s giving Hardison are clear as day. It’d be one thing if Hardison had turned him down, or if he’d been uneasily unwilling, or even if his eyes had widened slightly in suppressed panic and he’d abruptly found a reason to leave. Eliot can take rejection, bet or no, and he’d have bowed out graciously without a fuss. But this was much, much worse.
Hardison didn’t even notice he was flirting.
He’s going to have to up his game.
~
3. “How do you seduce people?” Parker asks bluntly, turning up at Sophie’s door just past midnight.
Sophie, despite the hour, is utterly delighted by the question.
This goes as well as you would expect.
~
4. Eliot’s taken a lot of dates to sports games. Hardison may prefer sparkly elves with purple lightning magic to a decent MMA fight, but baseball is the American pastime. Eliot gets them perfect seats, hot dogs from the best vendor in the stadium, even chilled beer that he smuggles in without letting it get warm. It’s going to be a perfect game.
And it is. At first. Hardison, it turns out, has a lot of opinions about baseball. What he does not have is an understanding of the rules. They’re not even into the second inning by the time Eliot finally snaps and starts arguing with him about it.
They make it all the way to the fifth inning before Eliot realizes that Hardison’s basing his complaints off the rules of a game from a Star Wars novel.
They’re at the bottom of the eighth before Eliot will speak to him again.
~
5. Eliot and Parker are drunk again. This is not intentional. They didn’t even mean to come to this bar, but the smoothie place with the fried oreos that Eliot had brought Parker here to try was playing such incredibly bad music that they’d ordered the oreos to go and fled. The bar was just the coziest looking place on the block, and of course they’d ordered drinks to avoid being rude––Eliot had entertained himself for a few minutes scouring the menu for something that would pair well with fried oreos and popcorn chicken.
And now they’re drunk. The conversation has, perhaps inevitably, turned to the ongoing bet.
“I tried everything!” Parker wails. “I laughed at every joke, I touched my hair constantly, I got him talking about things he likes.” She thunks her forehead on the bar. “All that happened is now I know the complete history of orcs in western literature.”
“Hardison wouldn’t know flirting if it pinched him on the ass,” Eliot grumbles.
Parker slaps his arm. “No pinching Hardison!”
“I’m not going to—I don’t pinch people!”
Parker’s ignoring him. Eliot pouts and takes another sip of his drink. He’s not entirely sure what this one is––it’s blue and kind of fizzy, that’s all he can say for sure. Parker took over the drinks menu several glasses ago, and she’s been picking them based on what has the most fun name to say. Eliot’s pretty sure the alcohol content’s been doubling with each order.
“Eliot,” Parker slurs, “we need to work together.”
“What?”
Parker lifts her head from the bar and frowns at him, the way she does when she’s figured out the obvious solution and is just waiting for everyone else to get on the same page. It’s adorable. It’s always adorable, but right now her eyes are wide and slightly unfocused from the alcohol and she’s listing sideways a little, almost as if she’s unbalanced, and it is the most adorable thing Eliot has ever seen. Parker’s never unbalanced, but some part of Eliot’s fuzzy brain thinks she’s about to fall on top of him and cannot wait to catch her.
“You can’t seduce Hardison,” Parker points out. Eliot is drunk enough to get offended by this, but too drunk to get out a complaint before she continues, “I can’t seduce Hardison. But if we work together, the two of us can definitely seduce Hardison. Together.”
Eliot stares at her. Then he takes another sip of his fizzy blue drink. Later, when questioned, he will blame his next words on that drink.
“Worth a shot.”
They take Hardison to a movie. They research for three weeks beforehand. They find the best movie theater in town, with the nicest seats, the biggest screens, and concession snacks that Hardison likes, and they buy tickets for the midnight premiere of the superhero movie that Hardison hasn’t shut up about for the past month. Parker even hacks into the theater’s computers in a last-minute fit of nerves and cross-references the credit cards with drivers’ licenses to make sure the people sitting in front of them won’t be too tall.
Parker witnesses a kidnapping in the parking lot while the boys are getting popcorn. They don’t even stay long enough to catch the commercials.
~
+ 1. “Hey Eliot,” Hardison says during movie night, a little over a week later. “Remember the Ice Man Job?”
Eliot groans. “I try not to.”
Hardison throws a piece of popcorn at his face. “Shut up. Remember how you did your hair for that one? With the little—those little beads on, like, a braid?”
Eliot shoots Hardison a suspicious glance. “Yeah, I remember.”
“Teach me how to do that.”
Eliot shoots Hardison another, more deliberate look, this one pointedly directed at Hardison’s complete lack of braidable locks.
Hardison rolls his eyes as if that’s a silly detail to get hung up on and leans forward to dig around in one of the boxes he has under his coffee table. He emerges with a ziplock bag of plastic beads in no time flat and hands it triumphantly to Eliot. Then he yanks a few cushions out from behind Parker, who’s sitting on his other side, and puts them on the floor in front of him. “Sit here?” he asks Parker, patting the cushion pile.
Parker takes a moment to consider being offended at having her cushions stolen, but curiosity gets the better of her and she just plops down between Hardison’s legs, grabbing the bowl of popcorn as she goes, and waits.
Hardison lifts her hair with sudden gentleness, drawing it over her shoulders and letting it fall down her back in a golden wave. His fingers brush against her neck. Parker shivers. Eliot is distantly aware that he’s gone perfectly still, focused with a hunter’s intensity on Hardison’s dark, graceful fingers carding through Parker’s hair.
Hardison leans back, hands on his knees, and Eliot breathes again. “Well?” Hardison looks over at Eliot, a tiny smirk of challenge on his lips. “Show me how it’s done.”
Eliot is suddenly, brutally aware of how close they are. Hardison’s couch is obscenely comfortable, which is half the reason movie nights are at Hardison’s in the first place, but it is not large. Their thighs are touching. Hardison leans away, to give Eliot access to Parker’s hair, and he’s still so close that Eliot would barely have to reach out a hand to—
Eliot ruthlessly shoves that thought down into the dark where it belongs. He dealt with this, he dealt with this years ago, and accepting Parker’s stupid bet doesn’t mean he’s forgotten the way Hardison and Parker look at each other. It just means he doesn’t mind losing for a good cause.
So he keeps his tone steady and his fingers brisk as he shows Hardison how to braid the clunky plastic beads into Parker’s hair, and if he flushes with heat when their hands brush each other, well, nobody has to know. He’s been trained to withstand eight different schools of torture. It won’t show on his face. His voice never once falters.
Parker has had no such training. Her lips have parted, and her breathing is shallow. She’s staring glassy-eyed at the TV. Hardison can’t see her face, sitting behind her, but Eliot watches her carefully, worried that they need to call this off. Parker’s not used to intimacy, to closeness that means something, and for all the three of them have spent half their movie nights literally on top of each other, this is something else. This has weight.
Eliot puts a hand on her shoulder, pressing down just enough that Parker startles and cants a glance over at him. Eliot raises his eyebrows in question, and Parker glares back: don’t you fucking dare. Eliot backs off. Hardison, frowning in concentration as he threads a wisp of Parker’s hair through a green bead, graciously pretends he didn’t see the exchange.
Hardison gets the hang of the beading fairly quickly, and Eliot shows him a few different techniques. He’s almost managed to convince himself that nothing is actually happening when Hardison says, conversationally, “You two are really bad at this.”
Eliot glowers his confusion. “At movie night? You started this, if you wanted to actually watch Alien then you shouldn’t have—”
Hardison’s smile is soft, but Eliot decides for his own safety to focus on the laughter at its edge. “No, at this.” And then he slides his hand onto Parker’s neck, caresses her cheek, and isn’t the slightest bit surprised when she gasps.
Parker whips around, and there’s hurt on her face but it dies in the glow of Hardison’s gentle, unteasing smile. Hardison pulls her up with the lightest of touches, and she goes, eyes fixed on his like salvation.
They kiss sweet and slow, and Eliot’s heart twists in his chest and he can’t breathe. He needs to leave now before he shatters in half, but if he moves then they will look at him, and he would rather never breathe again than meet their eyes right now.
Hardison breaks off the kiss, gazing at Parker with something just this side of wonder, and then he does look at Eliot. Eliot flinches. He opens his mouth to…say something, make some joke or hasty excuse and scramble out the door, but Hardison raises a hand to Eliot’s face, slides his long fingers to cup Eliot’s neck, and pulls him forward, as gently as he did Parker.
It’s a chaste kiss, no more than a soft press of lips, because Eliot is too stunned to respond and Hardison doesn’t push. It lasts a long time. A whole era of change happens in the span of that kiss, as everything Eliot thought he knew tears out of place and then settles, gingerly, into a new understanding.
Hardison pulls away, his hand still warm on the back of Eliot’s neck. His smile is pure sunshine. Eliot finds himself smiling back, helpless.
Hardison’s grin turns smug. “And that,” he says, looking between Eliot and Parker, “is how you do it. Y’all are disasters, honestly, I can’t believe two master criminals working together couldn’t manage a single real date—”
Eliot heaves a deep sigh and drags Hardison into a headlock, pinning his arms when he flails. Parker surges to her knees and starts tickling him mercilessly.
They don’t finish the movie.

A whole week free from work. You smiled as you gazed up at the old battlements of the castle. It was built during the Orc revolt and held many of the old designs of the time. Reinforced stone and steel hidden within the heavy stone bricks. Mortar had been used in recent years to try and keep the original structure together and preserve the natural history of the land. The revolt was a trying time, that resulted in many deaths on both sides. It was firmly engrained in history, but now the Orcs had come to be far more beneficial allies. Modern medicines for bacterial infections were based on many old Orcish root remedies where they’d worked to isolate the key components. Now the world was a much more accepting place. You looked at the old stone as you stepped through the portcullis. There was no longer a drawbridge, but rather a new heavy stone bridge, but the old metal gates were still in place, restored and painted to protect it against the elements. Still, it looked like something you saw in fairy tales. Gazing up at the stone, you tried to keep your mouth shut as you entered through the battlements and gazed at the inner building. It was made from the same stone with several French influences for the pointed tower tops around a central cuboidal shaped tower. The old windows were still intact from the modern occupation and you looked on in awe at the giant structure.
A winding staircase led you up to the castle doors and you waited in the small line before being allowed in to see the beautiful rooms, decorated to resemble the time period and filled with relics from many years gone by. The hunting room was grand, around a large, old desk, used by the head of the family for many years. It was sad to see blank spots where the barbaric practice of hunting other races had once decorated the room. You looked at the information board. Once an Orcish clan leader’s head had sat on one wall and various Fae and Goblins alongside them. Magic, species and race were all greatly misunderstood back then. You offered a solemn look to the missing heads and hoped they had been returned to their families, where they rightfully belonged. Still, the dragon teeth on the desk apparently didn’t count as the same thing. You left the hunting room and continued towards the dining room, then through to the drawing room, where guests were hosted. It was full of overstuffed chairs and fainting couches. You marvelled at the tapestries on one wall and the depictions of a battle with the Orcs. It was history, however sad it was. The castle was large, and you spent a few hours looking at the information and the history inside before you took to wandering the enormous, well looked after gardens.
The stairs out the back of the main castle lead into a well-designed garden, full of the area’s flora and flowers from abroad, of which were not common. The greenhouse was the far side of the castle, and you wrapped your scarf tighter as you headed towards it. It was particularly windy as you headed towards the large greenhouse. The signposts pointed towards the battlements and the internal corridors that ran beneath them. You looked at the wall and frowned at the sign. It pointed into an unusual door. It was heavy and wooden with a thick metal latch. You opened the handle and peered inside. It was lit up well with new electrical lighting, and you shrugged, entering the hallway before making sure to close the old door firmly behind you. The hallway lights dimmed and flickered as you stepped inside fully, and you scowled up at the ceiling as they started to blink, the bulbs making a soft ticking noise as they snapped on and off. After a minute, the blinking stopped, and you continued down the corridor.
“I’m pretty sure this is the wrong way.” You hummed to yourself as you followed the long pathway to the end. A set of stairs sat before you, “This is definitely not where the greenhouse is.” But still, there was no key card access and no locks. Curiosity got the better of you and you walked down the stairs, spiralling lower into another dim room, closing another heavy oaken door behind you as you entered.
The room was huge and filled to the brim with works that were in the process of being restored for the castle. Vanities and huge dressers were positioned in places of high airflow and covered with sheets and wraps. It was amazing to see even suits of rusted armour placed around the room, their hinges and metal plating underway to being shiny and brilliant once more. You tried not to gape at the room of antiques as you moved past the furniture and into the carefully lined up and ticketed pieces of history. There was a statue of a female goddess, her sword raised to the sky, and you smiled as you squeezed between it and the wall in your attempts to really gaze at the riches of the rest of the collection. The vast expanse of antiques was arranged around a great rack of catalogued swords. You eased your way towards them and avoided knocking over giant vases as you weaselled towards the more interesting antiques. It was glorious. Long swords, sabres and broadswords were positioned with knives and daggers, some handles made to be in matching sets to the swords. You looked at a small tomahawk before you looked at the end of the rack and to a cloth wrapped scabbard that was discarded on the floor.
The cloth wrapping was rotten and musty. You carefully picked up the scabbard and eyed the jewelled hilt with a sceptical eye. The ruby set in the end was dull. You wiped the jewel with your coat and coughed at the dust as you unwrapped the sword. It was intricately patterned, a form of tanned black leather pressed with runes and swirling lines. You ran your fingers over the pattern and unclipped the wrap from around the hilt, gazing at the tarnished metal before you sucked in a breath and slid the great sword free from its scabbard. There was nothing. You gazed at the blade and huffed a bit under the weight, but held it out from your body, looking down the length before you turned it flat. It was then that a great rumble sounded, shaking the ground beneath your feet. The shaking started in the walls before soon the whole room was moving back and forth. Vases and pottery clinked and shuddered in place as you grabbed for the sword rack and peered up. A great, high pitched whining noise made you flinch as something tore open a hole above your head. You gazed up as a black slit opened in the space above you and two clawed hands pierced the space. The red hands wriggled before clutching either side of the hole and clicking. The space opened wider and you watched two arms slide through before you were faced with the face of a monster.
There, staring at you from the space, slowly sliding free of the hole, was a creature with six, rolling viper eyes. The golden orbs investigated your face as a jaw opened along its cheeks, just beneath its slitted nose. Great pointed teeth dripped with saliva as it unhinged its jaw and stretched its arms further. The great horns caressed the sides of the hole before it twisted it’s neck and slid free. Three pairs of horns curled from its head, the front most pair, and the tallest, forms a chitinous plate over its nose, framing its sideways blinking eyes. With a growl, it tore the hole wider with another click and tear of his claws and placed its giant talons on the floor, sliding the rest of its body free in a smooth ripple of muscle down its back and legs. It perched itself on the floor for a moment, looking around, chitinous back plates facing any danger as a pointed tail swung left and right. The beast was covered in more spines and spikes, hardened and sharp to the touch. Your gaze peered downwards, and you tried to hide the fact you had gazed at his crotch, where he was hidden with a simple covering of hanging cloth. The face looked at you again, eyes open wide before a tongue dipped out to lick at your face, tasting the skin before he flicked it, tasting the air, mouth and nose open wide. The monster stood to his full height and you gazed at his back where the plates formed a neat, intricate row down his spine. He curled his feet and you looked at him as he curled the talons into the stone. Two great plates curled over his shoulders and you swallowed at the sight of more great spikes lining them.
“For what have I been summoned?” His voice was like thunder, vibrating the very air around you with power as he stretched his body and turned, his tail snatching you from the ground, dragging you closer to his six eyes. They moved independently for a moment before they all fixed on your terrified face, the lids sliding over them in pairs, down his face in turn.
“I…” He leaned closer to your face, his hands gripping you as he crouched near to the floor, his eight-foot frame ducking down, “I didn’t mean to summon you.” You confessed quietly, but the demon heard you, his pointed ears flicking. You watched the bone that pierced through them shake as he drew back and laughed, his tongue out and teeth exposed.
“Such jokes with your family.” He gripped you tighter, “Come now, I have no patience for your games anymore. Your ancestors may have bound me, but I could still tear you open and die with you.” He threatened, looming over you with unblinking eyes, his hands constraining your waist tight making you wheeze softly, “It would only take a moment.” He purred in delight, “Now, tell me your desires, little one.” His talons grazed your hair, “I grow bored.”
You took another breath and dropped the sword, gazing up at the creature with tears in your eyes, “I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what you’re talking about but please, please let me go.”
The demon scowled, as well as he could with no real eyebrows and only plates covering his brow bone. He licked at you again and hummed, “I cannot taste a lie…” He mused as he stood up, his horns scrapping the ceiling before he properly situated himself, “Then…” Confusion clouded his face, “Where am I, human?” He asked as he crouched down with you in his grasp, “Why have the possessions been discarded here?”
“I… It’s the two thousands. This castle is owned by the last remaining members of the Hollack family but its open to the public.” You dared to look at his eyes, “When were you last, um, summoned?”
The demon tilted his head and licked at his lips, “Sixteen fifty-four.” He nodded and then took note of your clothes, “It…has been so long?” He questioned the air as he placed you on his plated thigh, “You are not of the Hollack family, are you?”
“No…I got lost. I’m visiting and I ended up here. I guess…I bit off a little more than I could chew?” You offered lamely as the demon anchored himself up with his tail, you perched on his leg as he idly set his claws over your legs, trapping you in place.
The demon threw his head back and gave another round of thunderous laughter as his eyes blinked and closed in their downwards pattern, “Perhaps you have.” He confirmed before stretching up to his giant height. Carefully, he placed you back down on your feet and peered up at the cold rift.
“Where…where do you come from?” You asked quietly as you listened to the silence.
The demon ducked his red head and let out a rumble, “A pocket dimension…It is my cage, so to speak. I sleep until I am summoned…I feed only when I’m allowed out.” He offered quietly before his sharp teeth snapped together, “It has been so long. Even speaking is making me tired and ravenous.”
“You just sleep?” You offered before awkwardly shuffling, “Can you not break the contract?” You asked, feeling silly in the face of a creature so old.
He laughed again and you watched his tongue roll against his teeth before he reached to his chest and pressed one taloned hand against the skin. The red skin parted and revealed a great glowing eye. The golden eye blinked awake and starred deep into your own eyes before it began to glow. The demon snapped his fingers and wiped his hand over his chest again and the eye disappeared.
You suddenly felt tired, “What was that?”
“That was my power. It is weak. I consume energy, change it, or siphon it. My ability to control it is now tied to that…relic.” He hissed as you took hold of the sword again and peered at the metal.
The length of the blade glowed with burning gold runes. It was a sight and the demon hissed at the word written down the length. You couldn’t read the runes and you frowned up at the demon.
“What are those?” You asked, “I can’t read them…”
The demon’s mouth unhinged in a maniacal smile, teasing you, “My name, written in the ancient mage tongue.” He hissed through his teeth again as he looked down at it, “The language is lost, little one.” He lamented, “No one has been able to read it since the dark ages.” He offered as he sat down on the floor and clicked his fingers again, the portal closing with a swirl and a great pop.
“If I could read it, what would that do?” You asked as you took the scabbard in hand and stood by his knee, “Would it release you?”
The demon laughed again, “It would transfer my contract to you. My bindings would be shifted from the Hollack family to you, but I have never met someone capable of bearing my burden. I am old, it would take a great deal of power to break such a curse.” He grazed his talons over the stone in a great raking motion, “I am... ravenous.” He purred before you, his golden eyes squinted with glee at his mischief.
“You need a lot of energy then?” You asked.
“Mmm.” He purred, “I used to rip open rifts and portals and consume leaks of energy within the continuum, but that was how I was trapped. They created such a great energy rift that I was attracted, such was the greed of my youth, and trapped with that cursed thing.” The demon stretched his plates again and snapped his fingers out, snatching the blade from your grasp, “If I could tear apart the very molecules of this sword and be free, I would.” He snarled in anger.
You reached towards his hands and held out your hand for the blade, “Where would your name be?” You asked, “Is the blade named after you?” You asked and he held the hilt out towards you.
He scowled, “I do not remember…” But his eyes widened as you rushed back towards the door with the sword in tow. With a howl he was after you, disappearing before he reappeared in front of the door to the way out. His talons snatched you from the floor again as he opened his mouth threateningly, “You will not have that sword!” He hissed.
“I…” You wheezed, “The catalogue book.” You pointed and wheezed again.
The demon looked at the desk behind him and plucked the big logbook from the table.
Suddenly, he was very sheepish, his ears back and his lips pouted as he sat down with a thump again and placed you on his lap. He handed you the book, “Ah, yes. I apologise, little one.” His shoulders twitched as you smiled up at him, rubbing your ribs as you opened the cover and peered at the numbers. Everything was catalogued by value and item description with a numerical identity code attached to the item type name. Sword. You looked for the code, SW and flicked through the book quickly to the section. There wasn’t that many, most of them on the rack behind you and the demon. You tried not to scare as the demon wrapped his tail over you, his eyes peering at the pages as you ran your finger down them.
“Here. Look.” You held the book to his face, “There’s only three with names attached, all of them have been translated too.” With a cheer you watched him hold the book in his hands.
He frowned at the words, “I do not remember.” He lamented as defeat flashed over his features. The demon gave you the book back, “Perhaps if you read them?” Lamely he turned his hand and with a scared nod you climbed from his lap and watched him dip to his knees and stretch his back straight, so his horns sat like a crown.
“Do I need to do anything?” You asked meekly.
The demon nodded and placed one of your hands against his head, right on the hot skin between his curved, three pairs of horns, “We must be bound for this to work.”
“Wait…I can’t be a vessel for you!” You flinched away but the demon held your hand firm.
Golden eyes looked at you with sadness, “Please.” He whispered before growling, “I have spent seven centuries in agony!” He caught himself before his fury could truly boil over, “You don’t have to see me again…I will disappear and feed and never bother you, so, please, just release me.” His other hand clutched your own on top of his head, “I do not beg mortals lightly, little one, but please help me.”
“How do I know you won’t kill me after this?” You whispered back.
“I will be bound to your soul. It would be impossible.” He placed a hand over his chest, “If I did, I too would suffer the same death.”
You took a deep breath and looked at the three names before you in the book. You curled your fingers against the chitinous base of his horns and spoke.
“Maelstrom.”
The air was silent, and the demon continued to breathe quietly underneath your hand, radiating heat and anxiety as he clenched his chest and waited. After a moment you continued down the list.
“Azar.”
Silence again. You looked at the stones, expecting a rumble from them, but they remained still. You took a final breath and looked at the final name. It was old, and you didn’t understand the meaning as you whispered the name and then repeated it into the open air.
“Ollmoch.”
With bated breath, you waited. Like a crack of thunder, you heard the demon’s claws slam into the floor as the sword next to you vibrated violently. With an echo of metal, it slid free of the scabbard again and burned gold with power, the runes searing from the metal as the demon gave a grunt and slammed at the floor again, his teeth exposed in a pained snarl. His chest heaved as the great golden eye opened between his pectorals. The viper pupil burned with light as it bled from black to a bright red. The light grew brighter and brighter, until you were forced to close your eyes. There was a violent flash behind your eyelids before you felt your hand fall from the demon’s head.
“Little one.” You heard him whisper next to you, “You can open your eyes.” A hand brushed your cheek and with a gasp you opened your eyes to gaze into his golden irises. They burned with pulsing red veins and you looked at his skin as it gave off wave after wave of burning heat.
“What happened?” You asked him, “Wait, you’re called Ollmoch?” You felt the floor swim in your vision as you looked down, and you gagged as your swung back and forth on your own feet. Ollmoch was quick to catch you in his giant hands, holding you before he tucked you carefully in one of his arms, holding you gently.
“Quiet now, little one. You are exhausted.” Ollmoch rumbled to you as his fingers snapped and his tail swung behind him. The ceiling swam and you closed your eyes to try and get rid of the feeling of nausea, panting heavily as you felt the blood rush around you. There was a crackle of energy around you, and your hair stood on end as you planted your face against Ollmoch’s pectoral, your eyes rolling open and closed before you passed out completely to the delighted howl of the demon as he leaped for the portal swirling overhead.
Sunlight burned your eyelids as you slowly felt feeling return to your fingers and back. With a small gasp, you bolted upright in bed and clutched at the sheets as you rubbed your tired eyes and looked around the room blearily. It was still daylight. You looked closer and did a double take. It was morning. The sunlight peaked over the horizon weakly, bathing your room in a barely-there warm glow. It was early but the winter mornings had been getting darker and darker recently. You slapped at your table for your phone before realising you were still in your jeans and you reached into the pocket to take out your phone and gaze at the time.  It was barely eight o’clock and you sighed as you tried to remember how you had gotten home. It was then, as you yawned, that a hand slid under your covers. With a squeal, you jumped away and watched as horns rose over the side of your bed and a great, red skinned demon hauled himself out of a chugging, black portal in your carpet. Six golden eyes appeared next as the demon’s hands curled into your sheets, tugging them away from you as he rose up and stood over your bed.
“Are you well, little one?” Ollmoch rumbled as he curled his talons into the cotton and carefully eased his hands up towards your legs.
“What happened?” You asked as you crossed your legs under you, looking up at the half nude demon as he dragged his hands back and caressed his own horns, stretching with a hum.
Ollmoch tapped the middle of your forehead, “Your brain gave in. I believe you fainted.” He offered before he opened his mouth and sniffed, pulling air into his mouth, over his tongue and into his nose, “You were drained. It is good energy has returned to you.” He raised his hand and licked at his palm which had grazed your skin, “You are very lively. Full of energy. Untapped potential.” The energy demon smacked his lips before he licked at his fingers again and hummed, “Not enough to truly command me.”
“Why would I want that?” You asked with a scowl, “You wanted to be free, so you can do that now, right?”
Ollmoch nodded his great head as he hissed and touched his chest, “Yes. It is a good thing because I am starving.” He offered before he raised your hand to his face, licking the back of it before he kissed the palm softly, “Thank you, mortal.” He blew a hot breath over the skin, “I am in your debt, and I am at your call, as is the rules of such a bargain.”
Your mouth went dry before you carefully scratched between his horns. Ollmoch’s bone jewellery jingled and clinked as he accepted the touch before he pulled away and tucked your hand back against your side. His chest eye opened with a growl and you watched as your wall distorted. A sharp click snapped open a hole which the demon stretched with another movement of his hands. Ollmoch gazed into the abyss before he held up one talon.
“If you need me…Say my name, little one. I will be here.” He promised gently before grinning his sharp, shark-like teeth. You smiled back at him.
“Good luck, Ollmoch.” You offered as your cheeks felt hot, “I hope you fair better than in that pocket dimension.” Lamely, you let your hands fall to your side. Ollmoch looked at you, one pair of golden eyes focused on your face. Sadness.
He flicked his tongue and tasted the emotion on the air before he grabbed at your hand again, pressing it to the hot skin beneath the bright, burning eye in his chest, “I will come back, little one. I must feed, but I will be here.” He promised as he grazed his talons over the back of your neck, “What you feel, I will feel.” He whispered as he scratched the back of your neck and flinched himself, “We are linked. Nothing can take my binding from your very soul.” Ollmoch grinned as his talons gazed their way over your face, “Call, little one. Call and I will come.” He promised before he melted back into the wall, his talons and plating disappearing into the void of the in-between.
Your cheeks burned as you flopped back against the bed, looking at the ceiling as you felt the ghostly touches of talons over your skin.

I-I would love it if you would transform me when I go into my new world Mommy🙈🙈🙈💗 -nastyprincessrosie
Warning right off the bat: This one is going to dive into cnc and watersports. If that isn’t your thing, I’d recommend skipping over this story. I understand that these kinks aren’t for everyone, and can be triggering, so I wanted to let you know ahead of time. These kinks were previously discussed between me and the asker to put into the story.
Oh I’ve been waiting for this one. And I’ve thought long and hard about just what to do with you~ I’ll be sending you to a fantasy world. Full of magic and wonder. Sounds nice, right~? And, just because you’re so adorable, I’m going to alter your body a bit before you go. You see, I’m planning on having you reincarnate into a royal family of elves. Long lived rulers of the land. And to do so, we’re just going to have to give you some cute, pointed ears. Hmm? Why does it feel like the magic affected other parts of your body? Must’ve just been your imagination...Awww, I’m too excited to keep it a secret. I’ll tell you now, and then take your memory so you won’t have any idea of what’s to come. You see, I’m going to give you a nice, cushy life for the first hundred years. Letting you grow up in the seat of luxury, a respected and educated princess. The perfect representation of the ideal of your kingdom. Their pride and joy, the realm’s greatest treasure~! Always kept at a safe distance though. A work of art to view from afar, not for the commoners to touch. The court won’t know why, of course, but they’ll just know it’s what’s best for you. Eventually though...mmm it’ll get too much. You’ll want to explore, to get to know the world, to see more of it than just what you read about in books. And that desire for more will be your downfall, Princess~ They’ll let you go on a trip to visit the great cities of the kingdom, to try to handle your wanderlust. Escorted heavily, of course. Have to keep the Princess safe. But...it won’t be enough. Your guards will be overwhelmed by a sudden invading army. A coalition of species sick of the way the elves look down on everyone, tired of getting pushed around and made to serve. They’ll want justice, they’ll want revenge. You’ll be brought before their leader as a prize~ A towering Amazonian orc paladin, one of my devoted~! Tossed into her tent, her followers laughing at how you stumble. That’s when it’ll hit you. That scent overwhelming your senses. Your mouth watering suddenly, your eyes becoming unfocused. You’ll find it harder to think, harder to process what’s going on. Just imagine what its like; her entire tent reeking of her sweat and cum~ You see, my magic~? What you felt all over your body~? You’ll be susceptible to dominating women. Ones who want to take you and break you. You can try to resist, of course, and I encourage you to try. Should make it more fun for her. But in the end, it’ll be useless. No matter how much you cry, how much you scream and shout, she will take you and make you hers, to send a message to your kingdom. And part of you...will like it. It’ll be easy to resist, at first at least. But the more she uses you, the more she forces you to degrade yourself for her and her army, the more she covers you inside and out with her cum, you’ll find your willpower being chipped away until it’s nonexistent. Until you start to give in, start to eagerly await her at the end of the day, start to try to drain her churning balls of all that pent up cum in the middle of the war meetings. Till you beg her to mark you as her own, pissing all over you so everyone will know who you belong to. Your body will warp with your mind as well. You’ll eventually be able to live off her cum and piss, reduced to the fucktoy you are. Your hips will swell to be the perfect breeding bitch for her. Your tits will grow fat with milk, enhancing her strength and drive whenever she drinks from you. You’ll be her perfect treasure~! And the crowning jewel of her rebellion~? Will be when she rides through the gates of the capital with you in her lap, fucking yourself on her thick girlcock, letting everyone see what’s become of their prized princess. Let them see that underneath it all, she’s nothing more than a broken slut begging to get used~! Can’t have you knowing that though, so I’ll just lock that memory away and...there we go~! You’re good to go sweetie. I hope you enjoy your new life as a royal. I’ll be watching you very closely~

kidnap dads with #54?
(Really channeling my inner @jaz-the-bard here! ft. eldritch peredhil 😉)
54. Protectiveness
“Elerondo, let us pass,” Eönwë said grimly. (Elerondo always seemed the more reasonable of the two...oddities.)
But the twins stood their ground. Their eyes blazed brighter than the remembered Light of the Trees—brighter even than the Silmarils, one now possessed by each of their fathers—and the Eldarin warriors at Eönwë’s command shrank from their glow. The boys...changed, their fëar (eälar?) shifting and hröar (fanar?) becoming something very nearly monstrous, like the shadows of ruined Doriath, or the depths of the sea.
“Elerossë,” Eönwë tried, turning to Elerondo’s brother. “Do not attempt to stand against the Valar. The Gift promised to you and your people may yet be rescinded.”
Something in Elerossë’s glare dimmed, but if anything Elerondo shone all the brighter, and soon his twin recovered. Eönwë did not scowl—the herald of Manwë would never—but in his irritation he spread his wings wide and turned up his own brightness, outshining the peredhil. Two—well, three could play that game.
“You shall not pass,” the twins spake in eerie unison, their thousand voices echoing and striking fear into the hearts of those who heard them. “You will not arrest our fathers in their flight with their rightful property.”
“That Light is not theirs,” Eönwë thundered, borrowing his Vala’s affects. “And the jewels encasing it ceased to belong to them the moment they shed blood in their name. They are Kinslayers and thieves and must be brought to judgement.”
“YOU WILL NOT TAKE THEM.” Eönwë felt rather than heard this threat, and he gave brief pause. Truly, though their Mairin heritage left them with but a drop of Melian’s spirit, they were powerful. Was it an undiluted strain? Did their mother possess such depths of strength? Eönwë had never felt threatened by Eldar before, but this...
“You do not intimidate me,” Eönwë warned. “I am a Maia also, and older than you. If you do not let us pass, I will force my way.”
“‘Us,’ herald?” said Elerondo. “Your warriors have fled.”
Eönwë looked back: so they had. Well, no matter. It would not be difficult to chase and capture two broken, burning Kinslayers on his own.
“And would you force us, truly?” Elerossë inquired. “Would you slay us?”
“Would that not make you as guilty as our fathers?” Elerondo asked.
For the first time, Eönwë truly hesitated. Would it...? He had slain the Children before: Eldar turned Orcs, Atani corrupted by Moringotto, and he loathed it each time. But to kill a Maia...he had always given mercy to the Úmaiar he fought. Not even Sauron, his fallen friend, had he slain.
“You cannot protect them forever,” he warned, lowering his wings. “Justice will find them, in the end.”
“Mercy will find them first,” Elerossë vowed.
Eönwë bowed his head, defeated, and watched the two terrors of Beleriand disappear into the smoke after their fathers.
He was glad neither had chosen to come to Aman, after all.

Pirate Molly and Runaway Assembly Mage Caleb.
Molly was free. He was on the open waves on his boat The Mistake. The air is clear, and tastes of salt. There were no battles, no one after him. Just the moment and freedom- and the rare boat to steal from. Those were few but they were bountiful.
Molly wasn't the captain or the even first mate. Molly's job was to look out over the ocean to see sea monsters- one in particular for the captain- and boats to steal. The empire was rare but fun to go for. They had gold, silver, and seasick mages.
Molly wore tight but stretchy pants and thigh highs, but a black blouse, with his coats being purple, red and gold colored threads. He didn't bother with the hat. He let his long hair flow. It had waves and curls that seemed to defy the salt and humidity.
The Captain seemed to suspect that this had something to do with his blood magic but that was not the case.
Molly was just too good looking (and had the Moonweaver's blessing) to let the salt get to him.
He had two scimitars tied to his waist. They were pitch black, made from a metal from a time before the gods pulled away from mortals. Molly didn't think about his time before the boat, not that he remembered. This was right where he belonged.
The crew seemed to pair up. The captain had his Jester, Molly's angelic friend had a terrifyingly kickass woman. Their hafling friend had her husband and their child who was living with Jester's mother. Molly wasn't jealous of them, but it was lonely without someone here that he could be paired with.
Molly wasn't distracted easily, but shiny things were shiny things. Molly thought that he saw stupid things on this ocean. A boat with silver and gold above deck, in full view of the sun to reflect light was a first. The empire sails made his gut sink.
"Uh...Captain? I think we have a trap incoming." Molly yelled out.
This got the Captain's attention. The half orc raised an eyebrow.
"How do you know?" The Captain asked seriously.
"Gold and treasure on deck. Empire sails." Molly climbed out of the crows nest.
"What should we do?" Molly asked, gripping his swords.
"We have to get this ship off the water if it is a trap. The plank king won't appreciate it if we left it up." The Captain nodded.
Molly grinned and prepared his swords. His eye markings flashed red. The captain yelled out different commands and their tall cleric lifted his hand, causing the water underneath the boat freezing it upward and out of the water. It stayed there, rocking slightly. The other cleric made the ship push forward towards the other ship. There was magic trying to thaw the ice but Molly cocked his head slightly to the side and the magic thawing the ice flickered out.
"Mages! They might be angry!" Molly yelled out.
They reached the ship easily. Molly stepped out first, no guards on this boat. Just fifteen wizards, a variety of ages. They were dirty and bruised, barring three of them, an old man, a man in his thirties and a woman also in her thirties.
That caught Molly's attention. They were doing nothing here. That soured his mood instantly. Molly had his senses open, waiting for anyone to say anything. He caught small whimpers from below the deck. Oh. That was interesting.
Molly pursed his lip.
"Angelblood" Molly called out. "Come with me. I think we should look around." Molly announced, the old man gritted his teeth and the other two started to sweat a bit.
Molly had a hand on one of his swords as he looked around. Below deck was humid, salty and there was a bitterness to the air. The soft whimpers were much louder now. They morphed into broken sobs and pleas. Molly's heart sank.
He could see why they had jewels and gold thrown all over the deck. Everywhere he looked, barring the path Yasha and him were walking, was covered in silver and gold. The barrels were filled to overflowing. Molly could see the magic radiating from them. This was-
"This isn't a trap. This is a counterfeit mill." Molly whispered to Yasha. Yasha nodded and followed the trail to the end and cursed loudly. "Nonagon. We have a-"
Molly rushed over.
What he saw made him sick. It was a wizard, chained to the boat, some kind of blindfold covering his eyes. He was grabbing a piece of nearby copper and mumbling spells to turn the pieces into silver or gold. The tear steaks were visible, and his voice was shaking as well as his hands. Molly knelt by the wizard, causing the wood to creak and the wizard sobbed. Molly looked up at Yasha and reached over to the blindfold. His fingers phased right through and the poor wizard froze. Yasha looked around and saw a bloody spell painted onto the poor guy's chain. Yasha licked her thumb and wiped part of it away.
The blindfold faded.
It was too dark to see what color the hair or eyes were, but the fear was apparent.
"It's ok. We'll get you out of this." Molly promised as Yasha snapped the chain in her bare hands. Molly picked up the wizard, hissing when he realized how light this man was. He stepped out from below deck and the rest of Molly's team cursed when the wizard was brought to the sunlight. Ok red hair and blue eyes. And looks like he hasn't slept in a week. The three washed mages looked pissed but the group was not letting them keep the wizard. The half orc captain blanched for a moment.
"Bring him to our ship." The captain ordered.
"Got it Tusktooth." Molly nodded.
The frail wizard didn't complain when he was brought to the other ship, the clerics ready with healing spells.
Molly stayed by his side, making sure his survival was a sure thing. "What do we call you, friend?"
The human looked over at him for a moment. Then he took a deep breath. "Caleb Widogast."

The oneshot I lovingly call “Fuck you Thranduil”
Just a little oneshot that has been floating around my head for a few weeks. Its set after BOTFA where everyone lives / nobody dies (YAY) during the negotiations regarding reparations.
Warnings - if you couldnt tell from the title it contains a few swear words, mentions of assault/abuse of power, mention of bloody death
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Well, if you do not agree to our terms then the Arkenstone will remain in our possession."
"Listen here you pointy eared bastard! " Thorin raised a hand to silence his cousin, then brought it to his furrowed brow. The meeting continued to go around in circles, as it had the past few days, no side willing to budge on their demands and no concessions being made.
"I think it time we all took a break." Bard, ever the peacemaker, huffed.  He was already out of his chair and pouring himself another drink. Dain was all worked up and angling for a fight, which with guards and armies assembled would undoubtedly lead to another war leaving countless more dead.
"Amrâlimê, you have barely spoken work since talks began." Thorin turn to you stood next to his chair and kiss your hand.
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to overstep the mark"
"I think we are well past that given the bickering that is occurring. If you would like I can have Dwalin go to back to the mountain, at least then one of us can have a reprieve."  he chuckled through a pain smile. His patience was wearing dangerously thin.
"No, it's okay." you smiled back. A flash of relief washed over Thorin's face. "Plus, I think I have an idea, but it is going to be umm well a bit insane, possibly a little dangerous, and it might make things a whole lot worse.  Do you trust me?" you whispered into his ear.
" Do I trust your judgement? Undoubtably! Your ability to keep yourself safe? Well, that is why we have a small army of guards overseeing the negotiations. If you think it will work, go at least put an end to this, then you have my blessing" Thorin whispered back.
"Excellent!" your hand reached up and caressed his face. As he turned his lips met yours. " if you'll excuse me, I just need to fetch something" you kissed him quickly then left.
"As I have said before, operations you are requesting at out of the question!" Thorin growled cutting Thranduil off.
"Do you mind if I cut in?" you asked before Bard or Thranduil could begin again. Thorin smirked and ushered you forward. "My lords, I think it is important we address your request individually as our current approach is getting as nowhere. Lord Bard I hope you do not mind, but I will be addressing the elven king first.
"Very well" Bard seemed a bit taken aback for a moment that consented regardless.
"For my benefit could you please reiterate your demands Lord Thranduil?"
"The necklace made of jewels of Starlight, pay for my soldiers, and compensation for those lost defending the Mountain!" Thranduil snarled.
"and in exchange you will relinquish your claim on the Arkenstone?" Thranduil tilts his head in your direction, his smug way of agreeing. " brilliant!" you now turned your attention back to Thorin. " as part of my employment contract I am entitled to one fifthteenth of the treasure in Erebor, correct?
"Yes?" everyone was now looking in your direction, confusion plastered across their faces.
"Then I would like to claim this as part of my share" you gesture towards a very distinctive elvish box. " it was after all an item of treasure from within the mountain." Thorin leaned back in his chair, eager to see where you are going with this, while Thranduil’s expression flashes from shock to distain. Your attention now returns to the elven King. "It seems I am now the owner of this beautiful, jewelled necklace that you so desire and unfortunately for you I do not desire the Arkenstone nearly half as much as the dwarfs you were previously dealing with." Thranduil clenched his jaw, trying to keep his composure. He knew he had just lost the upper hand.  You knew the calmer you acted the more frustrated Thranduil would become. Afterall, the last time you had engaged the elven king have almost slit your throat trying to get information about the quest from Thorin and yourself. Now you all that scar with pride but still you held a grudge and would do anything to see that entitled elf brought down a peg or two. " Now from where I am standing, I do not see why you are entitled to anything you're requesting. See it was you who assembled your army against us. You were only caught up in the war because you marched on the mountain for selfish reasons!
"THOSE JEWELS BELONG TO THE ELVES!" Thranduil rose to his full height, likely as a means to intimidate you. However, though he was nearly twice, your size your rage was far greater. You would stand atop the table if you must, to show that Thranduil did not have the upper hand.
"Those jewels belong to me! Regardless of who they belong to in the past after the dragon attacked, anything in that mountain belong to those brave enough to try and reclaim Erebor and since I am counted among those few these jewels on mine." a smirk crossed your face knowing that Thranduil was struggling to keep dignified. " now the deal on the table is these jewels for the Arkenstone."
"I cannot conduct such a trade. My men -----------” before he could even finish his sentence you cut Thranduil off.
"That is a pity. Oh well, I am sure this necklace will look lovely when I wear it to my wedding” you took the Jewels out of their box and drape them over your neck. " my love do you mind?" Wordlessly Thorin stood, brushed your hair to the side, fasten the necklace and placed a kiss with a gems of Starlight grazed your collarbone then sat back down. It seems he was enjoying how flustered Thranduil was becoming, and he did have to admit he did find it rather attractive when you took charge. “Thank you.” You once again switched your attention to another. “My Lord Dain, what do you think?”
“You look divine my lady.” This earned Dain a quick judging glance from Thorin, you were his one after all.
“Hmmmm I don't know, it doesn't sit quite right with my scar. “Your hand traced across the stones, feeling their position on your neck as you turned back to the elven king. “No, I think it would be better if we broke it apart for different jewellery. “
“YOU WILL NOT!” It seems that had caused Thranduil to finally snap. the tip of his sword was now firmly pressed against your throat. all had jumped into position. Dwarves, elves, and men all ready with swords drawn. worry exuded from Thorin however he trusted your calmness and held Dain back.
“Go ahead. Spill my blood all over your wife’s necklace. Did she die wearing it?” A single drop of blood landed on one of the sparkling stones. “Did her blood tarnish the jewels as mine now seems to?” You wiped the warm, sticky blood from the gems and tapped Thranduil’s sword to the side, which he lowered in shock. “Oh, did you not expect me to know the history and why you covet this piece of jewellery so much?“ No words were uttered, the entire tent was silent even Thranduil was speechless. “Now I repeat again, the Arkenstone for the necklace. Or I break it up piece by piece it's that simple.” You gave the elven king a sweet smile, but he said nothing “No? Okay. Thorin my dear, do you reckon it is possible to get one of these gems out with just a knife? or will I need a hammer? I want to do it personally you see.” You had already unclasped the necklace and held it firmly in your grasp.
“A knife should work on some of the smaller stones, aye” Concern had not left Thorin. At any point this could turn deadly. You are pressing buttons that even an orc dare not press. Still, he knew interrupting now would only lead to disaster.
“Great thank you.” You reached down to your boot and took a small knife from within, then placed the necklace on the table ready to take a stab at disassembling it.
“Wait!” Thranduil shouted drawing everyone's attention from you. “You have a deal!” He almost sounded defeated. Almost.
“I will give you this necklace and in exchange you and your army will leave this land. Agreed?”
“. . . . Agreed.“ Thranduil responded flatly.
“and the Arkenstone will be returned?”
“. . . . yes.” Bard and Thranduil exchanged a look but agreed nonetheless.
“Don't worry Bard, I still acknowledge your claim on the Arkenstone as well.” He gave you a slow nod of acknowledgement. “Then it's a deal!” Thranduil watched as you gently placed the necklace back into its box, then held out your hand to shake on the deal. Apparently, that was not how deals were usually ended in Middle Earth.
“Come, we should leave these accursed lands!” Thranduil took the box from the table and quickly turned on his heels, not even acknowledging the other Kings at the table.
“Oh! Thranduil” you called after the elven King. As he turned, you flung a single gold coin at him. “I'm feeling generous. Here, consider this a donation towards your troops.” He scowled and swiftly left, causing Dain to burst into bouts of uncontrolled laughter.
“Up yours! You gangly bugger!” Dane managed to pant out through laughter. Thorin looked at you full of love, pride, and bemusement. You moved across the room and sat on the table across from Bard. He looked vaguely terrified but concealed it well.
“Back in Laketown Thorin gave his word that the wealth of the mountain would be shared. Bilbo and I vouched for him.” Bard nodded, not entirely sure where you were going. Your calmness unnerving for all now. “If he does not keep his word it would reflect poorly on me. Now I cannot have that. You will receive enough gold to rebuild Dale and Laketown.” You quickly glanced at Thorin to ensure he wasn't already scowling. “Your people will be looked after through the winter and they will receive compensation for the dragon attack and the battle. Is this acceptable?”
“That is very generous my lady.” Thorin and Bard locked eyes. Thorin’s usual scowl had returned causing Bard to shift his attention back to you. You briefly returned Thorin’s scowl, letting him know this was happening whether he liked it or not.
“If the King doesn't keep up with payments please inform me. I will ensure everything is taken care of. I took the Liberty of bringing a chest so that you need not leave here empty handed.“ Bard gave you a quick bow and took the chest from one of the dwarven guards, leaving the Arkenstone behind on the table. Turning back to Thorin and Dain you could see they weren't nearly as happy as when Thranduil left.
“That was far more than I was willing to give, amrâlimê”
“When you failed to provide adequate compensation, you called my honour into question Thorin. Thorin looked slightly ashamed at your remark. “At least I earned you back the Arkenstone my love.” Since you weren't in a caring mood you took the opportunity to sit on your Kings lap.
“You were very impressive ghivâshelûh” Thorin tilted your chin up to inspect the wound on your neck. It was only minor. and required no further attention.
“Remind me not to get on the wrong side of the future Queen” Dain chuckled.
“You might have to remind me the same cousin.” Thorin smiled giving you a kiss.

Blood For Gold Part 6
Tumblr media
Ok, so for the parts that are in italics, that’s meant to signify that they’re speaking a foreign language. What does marinai sound like in my imagination? Have you ever heard Hebrew or Arabic or even Aramaric poetry? How GORGEOUS it sounds? Like that.
Again, a thousand thanks to @kriskukko for letting me do this and borrow their art, thanks to @punkhorse96 for all of your amazing feedback. Enjoy.
Blood For Gold
Part 6
You were barely able to walk up the steps of your own home. Demsey Draft had rutted you so good, so many times in every way you could ever want and made you feel like a treasured, beloved goddess and certainly worshiped you like you were one, so much so that your legs felt like jelly, but the happy, dreamy smile on your face was priceless. You went straight upstairs and dressed in something else moura but something clearly less sexy but much more comfortable and simply had your hair down in soft curls as you applied a face mask so that your complexion tomorrow would be as glowing as your insides surely were right now. It had been just what you needed.
You needed to get the taste of that pregnancy warding tea out of your mouth though. Although you knew that much more of these meetings, you were going to associate the taste with Demsey and soon you’d drink it and instantly get turned on.
“Did you have a pleasant evening My Lady?” Rose asked as she helped you take off your face mask before you would eat dinner, although you didn’t really have much appetite for it since your late lunch, early dinner feast with Demsey Draft had sated your hunger quite perfectly in every sense.
“I did, the gardens were beautiful, the perfect diversion from the week I’ve had.” You answered.
“I’ve heard news my Lady.” She informed you.
“What news?” You asked.
“There was another moura bride came off the train just today, she’s supposed to be at the ball tomorrow.” She informed you.
“From the stables?” You asked.
“Yes, came with a very large party, there had to be dozens of people with her, staff of all kinds, she went straight to the Palace of Windsor. Annabelle and Martha saw it since the party came out into the market a little by the station, all of them were loaded up into a few dozen carriages, all of which belonged the Palace of Windsor, they took up most of the train and most of the cargo, it was a moura train too, they could tell by the way the particular rail cars were decorated on the outside. Annabelle said she could smell the exotic fruits herself, mainly mango, pineapple and papaya.” She told you as you swooned at even the very mention of those exotic fruits.
“Did Annabelle see the bride?” You pressed.
“Aye, a jewel orc, would shame a peacock or any other jewel.” She answered as you blinked in surprise.
“Well color me surprised. I did not think the royal family of elvish and human decent would want a jewel orc. But hopefully they treat her well. I look forward to seeing her again, whoever she might be, there are only five jewel orc brides at the stables, Callellea, Delmalina, Benyana, Adrinelle and Savamelle and thankfully I am friends with all of them, I look forward to seeing whichever one of them came. Can you tell the cook to make a sheet of baklava? I wish to take some to whichever of those girls will be there tomorrow.” You insisted.
“Absolutely, I’ll tell him at once my Lady.” Rose smiled happily and left you again to do as you instructed.
Meanwhile Demsey had made it to his own home and promptly crashed on his bed, his body spent and sore in places he didn’t think could get sore, but he was sated in every sense and very happy and relaxed the way any epic rut would leave anyone.
“Why do you smell like a woman?” Seirge asked as he came to call Demsey down for dinner and sniffed the air deeply, getting that particular scent, which this was only the second time he was smelling it. It was good but peculiar and he couldn’t place his finger on it or explain why it was peculiar.
“Because I was with one hell of a woman.” Demsey murmured, his voice half muffled from his pillows since he was laying face down on his bed, his body was spent, his stomach was full and now all he wanted was the sweet bliss of sleep.
“Sowing more wild oats are you?” Seirge prodded.
“Something like that, don’t...don’t tell anyone.” Demsey pleaded.
“You also smell like you’ve eaten already.” Seirge probed as he picked up scents of food too.
“Because I have, I’ve had my fill for tonight, all I want is sleep.” Demsey insisted as he barely pulled his blankets down on the other side of the bed and rolled over and tried to tiredly take his own clothes off that you had helped redress him in, such a sweet, thoughtful thing too. It had actually almost started another round, trying to dress each other but it was an act that was surprisingly intimate yet sentimental too.
“So does this woman have a name?” Seirge asked as Demsey cracked an eye open fixed his brother with a look.
“Does it matter?” Demsey returned because even if Miss Audra Draft worked in a whorehouse, he was feeling particularly possessive at the moment and not wanting to share such a treasure with anyone, let alone his brother.
“I guess it doesn’t, I was just curious.” Seirge shrugged nonchalantly. Even though he could smell her better with every piece of clothing his brother took off, he could find her by scent if he had to.
“Miss Audra Draft, she works at the Red Velvet Rope.”
“Is that why you don’t have any pocket money anymore? Because you’ve been blowing it at the casino?” Seirge instigated.
“Sure.” Demsey chuckled as he undid as much of his clothes as he could before he had to sit up to take it off of himself and once he took off his clothes Seirge then started cackling laughing at all the love bites, claw marks and other evidence on his brother’s body of an intense sexual encounter.
“Whew, nevermind, I can smell all of her on you. Damn, you know I never pegged you for the type to be into moura women, but obviously you had a good time.” Sierge laughed.
“I had the time of my life. Mouras are...they are always the best at whatever they decide to do and she’s...she has no compare.” Demsey praised with a dreamy smile.
“Even to your Countess Audravienne Morrigan?” Seirge pressed.
“...ok, I take it back, there is only one creature above her, and that is the Countess, but the resemblence between the two is uncanny, they even sound similar, which is probably why I prefer Miss Draft to any other except the Countess and that is only because I guess all mouras look the same after the Gold Plague, did you know that the gold that rained down from heaven was actually the gold dust ash of billions of heavenly moura who died in the plague? I had no idea that that is what it was. But Miss Draft was happy to give me a history lesson and even fed me a proper moura feast there, it was some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life, and is why I’m not hungry for dinner cause I’ve already had every appetite except for sleep satisfied today.” Demsey insisted as he pulled on a sleep tunic before he crawled into bed.
“Well next time you go, take me with you, even though I doubt you’d share, I wouldn’t mind at least seeing what you see.” Sierge said as he blew out the candles in his brother’s room so his brother could get some sleep before also throwing on some more wood the fire in the fireplace.
“Uh huh,” Demsey murmured as he fought to hold onto conciousness now that he was in bed before Sierge left him in peace.
The next day you happily gorged yourself on breakfast before you spent most of the day getting your hair washed along with your body and scrubbed, pampered, moisturized and massaged and then perfumed before Richard and Agnes and Jane would be coming to pick you up in the early evening and take you to the ball in their barouche box carriage as your ladies got you ready in your gown that had been dropped off just that morning along with several others, a few of which you couldn’t remember Agnes ordering, or yourself, the ones you couldn’t remember were very clearly more moura in style then the rest but you paid it no mind since the dress you would be wearing tonight was a superb gold gown, close to the Regency style, but clearly had some moura touches which you didn’t remember asking for or ones that Agnes hadn’t asked for either but you were so happy and so excited to see an old friend, you didn’t care. You wanted to look like the perfect balance between moura and English while your thoughts drifted to who exactly had come. You were both hoping yet fearing it was Callellea, you didn’t want her sweet soul anywhere near here, but the others you would still be very happy to see.
However no sooner had you gotten ready than the Morrigans were there early to pick you up as you took a deep stabilizing breath and then went down to see them only to be met with many more trunks that were being brought in while crates of fruit and other foods were delivered to your kitchen.
“What’s all this?” You asked as you gestured to it.
“A gift, apparently the Young Dauphin Ramsey has brought in a moura bride, apparently a good friend of yours from Dorierra, they had tried to deliver it to us at Broadcove but once they learned that you were no longer with us there, it was promptly picked up and all brought here. We hope you have room for it all.” Jane answered as she eyed your new treasures and gifts with delight.
“Well then I must invite you to stay the night tonight then dear Jane to help me unpack it all and inspect everything.” You insisted as she giggled excitedly and nodded in agreement.
“Well we must be off before we run late.” Agnes insisted as she ushered both of you out of the house and into the carriage where Richard was waiting.
“So the Dauphin brought a moura bride from the stables?” You asked Agnes and Richard once inside the carriage as you sat next to Jane.
“Apparently he brought two, will be pitting them against each other for his hand, as if the courting market wasn’t fierce enough.” Agnes answered, because her hopes that Jane might catch his eye after your own betrothal to someone else were being dashed to pieces at the very thought.
“Do we know their names? Because I know every other moura bride at the stables, if she is a close friend that could be helpful and tie us to the royal family.” You mused, knowing that was what would incite them to be a little more honest and forthcoming with you- offering what they clearly wanted.
“They’re long, overly extravagant, barely pronounceable foreign names.” Richard waived off and you bit your lips to keep yourself from arguing with him. You would know as soon as this carriage would get you there but in the meantime you tried to remain patient as the carriage seemed to travel even slower than usual, getting behind other carriages who were all going the same way and whoever was already on their way was taking their own sweet time and it took every ounce of willpower not to get out of the carriage and just run there and beat them there. But you were a lady, a Countess at that, and you had sweet Jane to think about, you couldn’t make this hard on her because the Morrigans had learned early that you had a soft spot for Jane and made a show of pressing that soft spot whenever you displeased them. It was plainly barbaric.
Finally upon arriving at the ball, you finally caught sight of them. Czarina Callellea your best friend in the world and Princess Benyana, another friend, perhaps not as close as Callellea though. You nearly squealed at seeing them as your moura marks lit up like fireworks as theirs did the same as they practically ran to you and even though it broke tradition and rules of decorum, they pulled you into a hug and you practically melted into their arms, all three of you nearly crying all your makeup off at the prospect of being reunited as the three of you hugged tightly before they each kissed your cheeks as you did the same.
“Why are you dressed so English?” They asked as you pulled away to look at each other as they spoke in marinai- the moura mother tongue to you.
“Because the family I married into commanded it.” You answered which made them both scrunch up their noses in disgust.
“I heard from them that both of you are here for one man?” You asked them.
“Yes, a Duke Demsey Voyambi,” they answered and your heart stopped as all air crashed from your lungs as your face fell.
“Is he a bad man?” They asked you worriedly reading your reaction.
“No! No, he’s perfectly fine, kind, funny and friendly and actually a friend of mine, we are at first names, his grandfather protected the king in battle, that’s how the family got their Duchy, and they have a soap business, that’s how the family makes their money, but he’s attached to Lady Whitesale. His sister told me directly and when I asked him in private, he did not deny it, I do not know her though. I don’t know what she looks like. But, are you sure that the Duke sent for you?” You asked.
“No the duke didn’t send for us, the royal family did, they wanted to see more mouras in their gentry, and the Duke is orc but is a purist and therefore only a jewel orc will do in that kind of situation and apparently he isn’t the only orc in gentry here, the offer is the same that you got from your Edward.” They informed you. Your own contract with Edward had been extremely generous but was largely ignored until after his death when the Morrigans were forced to head it or risk losing everything.
“Oh,” you answered as your heart constricted painfully into your chest.
“Well, when you are not trying to seduce the Duke, there are moura clubs here, I have only had a chance to go to one, but I hear the others are amazing.” You answered.
“Oh good,” they blew out a breath of relief before the Duke was announced to have arrived.
“Time to get work I guess.” You bid them, trying to sound cheerful but you could feel nothing but disappointment.
“Did you have your eye on the Duke?” Callellea asked as she took a step in that direction before Benyana clearly didn’t wait for her to go ahead and come over to them before Callellea stepped closer to you again.
“I did, but with him already attached, I withdrew. But if he likes you better than Whitesale, then, more power to you. It’s ok, go, see how handsome he is, because he is very handsome with a nobility of character that will be rarer than the diamonds we are wearing.” You nodded in his general direction before she withdrew and left your side and when they withdrew the Morrigans were on you in an instant, reminding that that would be the only time it would be acceptable for you to break the rules of decorum before you simply marched away from them and towards the punch bowl.
“No sunrise is as beautiful as the ones in your eyes.” Came a masculine purr, in marinai again, near your ear and his voice sent a shiver down your spine and made every hair stand on end, but in a good way.
“Leumeni.” You turned to see your old lover who came to stand beside you, also getting himself some punch.
“Since when do the stables let a male leave?” You asked him, sticking to marinai again, not knowing when you’d get a chance to speak it again.
“Since they offered for us to come and chaperone our sisters since they can not be without those in this country apparently.” He answered.
“If I could hug you I would.” You told him.
“Oh I know, I am fighting not to pick you up off your feet and spin you around, but I was informed of the rules all day.” He rolled his eyes as you smiled sadly in response.
“How come you have never returned my letters?” He asked curiously.
“You wrote to me?” You asked with a confused crown.
“I did, I have been writing to you about once a month ever since you left, checking up on you, but I have never heard back.” He answered.
“But I have been writing to you and the rest of my friends but I have never heard back either. I do not know if the mail system is reliable or not, I have gotten no letters from anyone, not even my parents or my siblings. Once I left the stables all communication has ceased, sometimes the letters come back to me undelivered, other times, they just vanish. And I do not know what happens. I have even tried to hire specific carriers to travel directly, but all they do is take my money but offer no results or vanish completely and I am still left with nothing.” You answered and the more you talked the deeper he frowned.
“Then I will look into it on your behalf. We have been invited here by the royal family. There is no way any moura will ever marry here if they can’t even get a letter home and back.” He insisted  before you brought him closer.
“When you and the rest of all who came here get a chance, come to Mirador, that is my residence. I have things for all of you to read since I can not speak of it now.” You implored.
“We will come, tomorrow if you’ll have us.” He offered.
“I have company tonight, make it the day after tomorrow.” You insisted.
“Absolutely, we will be there.” Leumeni insisted before he bowed and retreated again.
“Do forgive me for overhearing Countess…” Dauphin Ramsey began as he sidled up to you, continuing to speak in marinai.
“Oh, your Grace, I apologize, I shouldn’t be talking about my personal affairs at a time such a this and I did not realize that anyone else not from Dorierra would be speaking marinai.” You immediately apologized as you curtsied in place.
“Oh please, do not apologize. You should be able to speak any language you wish. You must not worry, very few know marinai here in England, but my mother has taught it to me as my mother tongue as well, English is so very difficult to speak, much less read or write and you speak it so beautifully and the marinai accent only makes the most humble language sound ethereal. It seems my cousins have not done their homework and research before inviting more mouras here without hearing from the last moura to grace the court about how she is doing and getting along. To hear of such troubles with something as simple yet important as your own private letters to your parents going astray, especially in our royal mail system, is unacceptable, I will have the matter looked into and investigated as soon as possible. You did the right thing by coming forward and telling the truth of the matter, to a trusted friend at that and my only apologies are that I overheard it but it concerns every moura on English soil. And if there is anything else for you that I may do, please tell me. I must apologize for not coming to you sooner, I was trying to respect your mourning period.” Ramsey reassured you as you blinked in surprise.
“Sir, I fear what repercussions may happen if you do though.” You murmured with an apprehensive look.
“My dear Countess, no you must never fear anyone ever. You are a royal moura, you technically outrank me, I believe your former rank of Sultana should still hold true and as such that puts you on even ground with the Queen herself. You have more royal blood running through those veins than all of the royal family put together. We mouras are still in our golden age. The Gold Plague did nothing but made the survivors more precious and valuable than ever. While this matter is sorted out, please, when we won’t be seeing each other at balls, won’t you consider joining me at the Midnight Peacock? They dance every moura dance at the stables and we’ve even invented our own. You would be the bell of the ball even if you showed up in burlap.” He offered.
“Uh, well, I don’t know if that will be permitted your Grace.” You slowly answered.
“Why?” He asked.
“Because of this.” You said as you pulled out the list, the one that Agnes and Richard had dictated to Jane to write down of suitors to avoid where his name was at the very top and handed it to him.
“Who gave you such a list?” Ramsey demanded as he scowled deeply.
“It was dictated to me by Count and Countess Morrigan, they forced their sweet and innocent daughter Jane to write it down faithfully.” You answered honestly.
“Every moura in the country is on this list.” Ramsey realized before his face changed to smug understanding.
“Well Sultana, is it alright if I address you as such?” He asked.
“Please, just Miss Audravienne if you must be formal, Audra if you wish to be friends.” You suggested as that seemed to delight him.
“I will also look into this. I understand that you also had a contract between the Morrigans and yourself and the stables, would you mind if I also looked into that, because I believe all three are related.”
“Really?” You asked.
“Well, I do not wish you to worry about it, but I would simply like for your permission to look into these personal matters, us mouras must stick together, birds of feathers flocking together am I right?” He pressed and you smiled in relief.
“Then you have my permission.” You decided.
“Then just call me Ramsey, my dear friend Audra.” He insisted as he took your hand and kissed it charmingly.
“If you are to take that, you might as well have the other one.” You insisted as you pulled the other one from your large clutch.
“Give me just a moment please to pass these onto my best man and I will return to you in just a moment my dear Audra and when I return, if I may be so bold as to claim the first two dances.” He cooed before he left, and while you did feel some guilt for using his Grace to deal with your problems with the Morrigans, you had always been suspicious of them for creating some kind of unseen barrier, as you also wondered if your own staff that followed you from Broadcove also had a hand in it. But having the cousin of the royal family look into the matter may be just as good as royal intervention you supposed since you could no longer count on the stables to do so any more than they already had.
Meanwhile Demsey and his brothers had almost frozen in place to see two jewel orc moura practically strut up to them. They had never seen jewel orcs before and to see them in person, was an experience to say the least.
“Which one of you is Duke Demsey Voyambi?” Benyana asked before Demsey’s brothers pointed to him.
“We were told by the royal family to meet your family in particular. It’s so wonderful to see orcs take our rightful place in high society. Sadly this court is late, in other courts in Europa, orcs take up over half of all the gentry, yet all we see is what? Three, maybe four orc families here?” Benyana revealed as she looked around, frowning at what she saw before she turned her attention back to Demsey and his family and smiled again at them, her prettiest, most charming smile at that.
“It is quite an imbalance.” Demsey nodded in agreement.
“So won’t you take a turn on the dance floor with me, your Grace? I have been practicing the dance steps for the last two weeks. Even on the train here I practiced. I want to see if it was worth it.” Callellea began, with a direct and hopefully look to Demsey before Benyana could get her hooks into Demsey herself.
“Of course.” Demsey readily agreed as he took her hand and led her to the dance floor while his brother Sierge asked Benyana to dance.
“I have heard a rumor about you already.” Callellea murmured to Demsey as she took his arm as they made their way through the crowd and pulled his arm to her side tightly to pull his ear to her.
“You have?” Demsey asked as he couldn’t help but grimace slightly.
“Sultana Audravienne informed me that you have an attachment to a Lady Whitesale?” She pressed.
“Ah. I see. That is actually not true. My sister Kiera insisted that I did in an effort to keep Countess Agnes Morrigan from trying to play matchmaker with me, but when Audra asked me about it, I didn’t want to embarrass my sister by contradicting her, and I should have had more honor and told Audra the truth, I barely tolerate Lady Kate Whitesale because she’s disingenuous.” Demsey confessed.
“Well then you should correct that misunderstanding before I fear it will be too late.” Callellea warned with a pleading look.
“What do you mean too late?” Demsey asked as he then turned and started leading Callellea to the side of the space that wasn’t crammed full of people.
“Then you must declare it to her and make the truth known, because she feels the former is true. Princess Benyana and I were invited here to try to court you, since it is apparently known that you will only take an orc for a wife but that you at least give the Sultana enough attention that you are deemed a distraction at least or a threat at most by her other pursuer. We were sent to try to seduce you away from her so that someone within the royal family may have the freedom to pursue her without you distracting her. When we told Audra of this she looked absolutely gutted and heartbroken because she had her eye on you. But her own honor forbade her from pursuing you and now I fear that her own fear of the royal family will not permit her from expressing it either. If you do not return the attraction then by all means, let her be pursued by others, but if you share and return her feelings, then by all means, say something, do something. Otherwise she will be snatched up before the end of the evening and the vicious cycle begins anew.” Callelea implored him as he stared at her in surprise.
“Do you have any care for her? Do you have any partiality or attraction whatsoever towards Sultana Audravienne?” Callellea pressed.
“I do.” Demsey insisted.
“I know we are strangers but she told me that you are of noble character, one that we would have a hard time finding a comparison to in this court. Is that true?” Callellea pressed.
“If Audra said such things, then I have no choice but to do my utmost to live up to such high praise.” Desmey answered as his own affection for you grew as his smile turned bashful.
“Then you should have my confidence. Do not repeat this or let on that you know- but she suffered greatly under the Morrigan’s roof. She suffered unspeakable horrors. So much so that she was not allowed back to the stables, despite everyone in the stables contesting it. But she had no choice but to sign a contract that she would not return to them unless her very life was in danger, I only know this because I broke into the stable master offices and found the contracts and read them myself. But she is forbidden from talking about it because she signed it. She can’t go home and she is left to fend for herself when in a society, women have no voice or autonomy, it leaves her at the mercy of the men around her and the men around her since she has left have done nothing but bring her harm. And it is clear that the Morrigans are still treating her badly, despite the contracts that they would not. I saw the way they were practically breathing down her throat the moment I left her side. Is there anything you can do to help her?” Callellea implored.
“I have asked but she won’t give me a direction.” Demsey confessed as his heart once again reached out to you.
“Then ask again, ask every time you see her, be sincere and genuine, do not give up. Gain her trust and respect. She has spent her whole life preparing for a life that did nothing but hurt her. Now she is free to at least marry who she wants, she deserves to marry for love and she deserves for someone to treat her like the treasured angel she is, if you are lucky enough to catch her eye and gain her friendship. Then prove you are worthy of it and don’t fall for this trick.” She urged as Demsey looked away from her and saw that the Dauphin was walking away from you, with several pages in his hands as he recognized the list in them.
“I will do all I can, in the meantime, if you could just dance one dance with my brother Tzane, I would be most appreciative, and do not worry, Tzane wouldn’t hurt a mosquito that was sucking the blood from him.” Demsey requested.
“Thank you. Now go to her.” Callellea urged as Demsey realized this must be the same Callellea who wrote that note to you.
“Oh, Voyambi, tell me, do you know anything about this?” Ramsey asked as Demsey crossed paths with him first on his way to you.
“Yes I do. Two weeks ago, my sisters and I were out to tea at Worthingtons we all overheard Countess Agnes dictate both of these lists to Sultana Audravienne, Jane had no choice but to write them down. Agnes also heavily criticized the Sultana every time she took a bite of food or a drink of tea, and forbade her from putting cream or sugar in her tea, or from eating any sweets whatsoever.  And then that very same day, they went out to dinner at the Savoy where they were joined by Count Richard Morrigan who repeated the same direction. Even though the Sultana lives at Mirador, the Morrigans seem to continue to try to control every breath she takes.” Demsey ventured, enacting his own vengeance on your behalf.
“Had you not gotten it from her, I was going to be making your Grace aware of it, because I could cleary tell that the Morrigans planned on excluding and alienating half of the court,” Demsey added.
“Because you’re a good man, in order to protect the Sultana Audravienne, might we agree that you did? So that would take any blame off of her when this is investigated?” Ramsey asked.
“You may, I would happily shoulder that.” Demsey immediately agreed.
“Good man, have you met the Princess and the Czarina yet?” Ramsey asked.
“Yes, they’re both exquisite, as all mouras are but jewel orcs are clearly a class of their own. Their majesties were wise in inviting jewel orcs into the realm. It will only strengthen the court, diversify it before it can be solidified and bolstered, in fact I was just on my way to the Sultana to ask for her opinion and advice, since surely she must know them better than anyone else here.” Demsey praised, knowing that’s what Ramsey wanted to hear because out of everyone in the royal family, Dauphin Ramsey was the only one unmarried, and it didn’t take but a half wit to know who exactly had brought the jewel orcs in, it left no doubt in Demsey’s mind that it was Ramsey’s idea, but if Ramsey’s reputation was true, he would ruin you the moment another moura prettier than you could be brought up in the stables and he would no doubt “trade up” and Demsey felt he needed to protect you from that.
“I agree, enjoy them tonight, I would hate to see either of them leave without so much as a betrothal, but alas we may only take one wife.” Ramsey shrugged before he left, happy and practically tickled that Demsey corroborated the story as already quite the case was building up against the Morrigans.
“Sultana Audravienne,” Demsey called to you before a look of complete relief and happiness washed over your face at seeing him again while your moura marks practically glittered in delight, despite your own heart breaking after overhearing the Duke’s conversation with the Dauphin.
“Duke Demsey.” You greeted as you both curtsied in place since that was as “formally informal” you could be in this setting.
“I really need to talk to you,” Demsey said as he came to stand as close to you as society would allow, but lowered his voice so that no one would hopefully overhear the conversation.
“About the Princess or about the Czarina? Both are exquisite, it’s actually Princess Benyana that has the most to offer you, her brothers make most of the soap in the stables, I’m sure if you courted her, you would be able to get the recipe, or especially if you wed her- it could be written in the contract with the stables that you could take it, make it and sell it for your gain as well as hers since upon marring a bride from the stables, proof of income and ability to care for her, even in the event of your death, are a requirement, which I’m sure will be easy for you to establish. Since the royal family invited them here, they would support you in that request, I can’t imagine how many hundreds of thousands of pounds you would make if you did. I know I would buy it by the case.” You informed him as you tried to put on a brave smile but couldn’t look him in the eye because if you did the tears that were rimming your eyes would fall and looking down into your own glass and trying to furiously blink them away just as Ramsey came back to your side.
“Buy cases of what my dear Audra?” Ramsey asked as it was Demsey’s heart that stopped as it felt like each one of those words in that sickeningly romantic cooing tone from Ramsey’s mouth was a stab into his being as anxiety began to eat at him as fear that he was already too late frayed his nerves.
“Oh I was telling the excellent Duke Voyambi that if he were to court Princess Benyana, he had the most to gain from her besides her exquisite beauty that has no equal, or talents that set a standard of perfection that even I can’t live up to, also since it is her brothers that make most of the soaps of every variety under the sun, moon and stars, and that if there would be a courting between the two, he might ask for the recipes to make them to sell so that England would have a proper moura soap, that anyone who wanted to buy a piece of luxury could own. I know of so many mouras who would buy anything even remotely similar since our moura skin can be so delicate and sensitive. Surely he could make a fortune if he did so and thus support our great empire through his own fair and just taxes your Grace. But then again it is the Czarina Callellea’s brothers who make some of the best food in all of the moura stables and are proficient in all the moura court styles of cuisine and can blend them all together seamlessly. Surely a cookbook penned by her brothers would be worth it’s weight in platinum. Even as large as I’m sure it would be. Moura food is almost impossible to find outside of the stables and I mourn the absence of a good moura restaurant here. I have tried to give my own cooks some recipes from dishes from my own court that have been passed down through my own family but they are limited in what ingredients are available here and they don’t have the same culinary training that moura chefs do. And I long for a taste of home.” You explained as Demsey wanted to scream in protest because you were giving Ramsey all the ammunition he needed to force this issue on him but at the same time he could see you were clearly just trying to support him and do what was best for him and his family but at this point, he could care less about business, you were suddenly more important to him than selling another stupid bar of soap, he needed to think quickly and try to say something if only to tip you off to the truth.
“Then it would be better for his Grace to court the Czarina since your Grace’s appetites for all things moura are practically insatiable, perhaps her brothers can cook up something that will finally sate your appetites since it’s clear that they came with their sisters.” Demsey suggested to the Dauphin but you couldn’t help but secretly agree. Yalin had warned you about her son, how he was insatiable and how he was on a search for the perfect moura mate who would be both perfectly moura yet able to also be perfectly English and told you which days her sons frequented both the Red Velvet Rope and the Midnight Peacock so that you would not go on the same nights as him.
“Perhaps, in that case I must insist that both the Sultana and your family must come for such a feast.” Ramsey invited. Not realizing what Demsey was really getting at.
“It would bring us great honor your Grace, in the meantime, might I have the first two dances with Sultana Audravienne?” Demsey asked.
“I believe I have already claimed them.” Ramsey argued smugly.
“The Dauphin has claimed the first two dances but you Duke Demsey, may claim the two after that if you are not already engaged.” You offered before you offered your dance card for him to sign on as he readily did.
Then the music started not long after as the Dauphin then led you to the dancefloor as you did your best to remember the steps as the Dauphin did nothing but flatter you and all moura gifts which you apparently possessed upon him just looking at you, all in marinai the whole time as you couldn’t help but notice Agnes’ scowl at you that you were dancing with the Dauphin and every time you saw her gaze you looked away, feeling her gaze strike at you and feared for Jane and what Jane would suffer because of your dancing with the Dauphin. You were ever so grateful when it was Demsey’s turn to dance with you.
“Audra, please, I really need to speak with you.” Demsey insisted.
“I’m so sorry your Grace, I’m so parched from dancing with the Dauphin, might we get some punch?” You suggested a little louder for Ramsey’s benefit before Demsey smiled in relief and happily led you away from the dancefloor as the two of you got punch and then slipped through the crowds, both of you weaving through like a thread through a tapestry until finally you found a mostly abandoned gallery of art as you both made a show of staring at all the art.
“So what would you like to say?” You murmured quietly.
“My sister lied to you a couple of weeks ago and instead of exposing the truth and potentially damaging her reputation, I didn’t say anything, and even when you asked me privately, I did not confess and I’m sorry. But there is no attachment between Lady Whitesale and I, I can barely stand her in truth. Kiera was simply saying that to protect me from the Countess Agnes Morrigan, but also at the time I didn’t want you to get the impression that your own dowry changed my mind on the matter. I was hoping to find a moment between then and now to talk to you but my own affairs with business have had me completely swamped and I have not had a moment of peace. While the Czarina and the Princess are lovely, I still prefer you to them, I...I have a partiality to you and I have been drawn to you since the moment we shared a cabin on the train those couple of weeks ago. And while I want nothing more than our own friendship to grow stronger, I also want to declare…” Demsey began before you were interrupted.
“Duke Voyambi, this is where you’ve taken my dearest Audra, I have wonderful news, the Czarina and the Princess would both like to invite you to stay at the royal palace of Windsor while they are here, they’ve been looking all over for you trying to tell you. I mentioned your desire to eat moura foods and the Czarina’s brothers jumped at the chance and have already left to prepare it for you themselves while the Princess’ brothers also have insisted on making you new soaps and beauty treatments, in fact they’ve insisted on going to your residence to sample what water is available there so that the soaps may be custom tailored just for you and what you need, they were most insistent.” Dauphin interrupted as he hurriedly walked into the room and over to you to steal you away as he took your arm and wrapped it around his own pullying you away from the Duke which you begrudgingly allowed.
“Oh, that’s very kind, but they just dropped off gifts at my residence and I have yet to even look at them and I was supposed to be inviting Countess Jane Morrigan over tonight to help me.” You tried to excuse yourself.
“Oh but even I must insist, even my sister the Dauphine Charlotte is also going to be staying, it seems every moura within the royal family will be coming, and you, the Czarina and the Princess will be the special guests, really even if your own guest is to be Countess Jane Morrigan, I was told by the Queen herself that I was not to take a ‘no’ for an answer and do whatever it was within my power to convince you to say yes.” The Dauphin insisted.
“Then I will agree upon two conditions.” You decided.
“Anything.” The Dauphin readily answered.
“That I may go home and pack myself, for there are certain things I wish to show the Czarina and the Princess,” you began.
“Of course, even if you were to compile a list, I’ll have my best people on it and your things will be at the house of Windsor by the end of the party.” Ramsey insisted.
“That’s very generous but the items I have in mind are actually hidden away, in a place I do not want it’s location disclosed, because they are very precious and sentimental items, I insist on doing it myself, and I promise I shall only be a moment, I shall leave early from the party tonight and then once I have what I need, I shall arrive at Windsor Palace as soon as I can.” You reassured him.
“So what is your second condition then?” Ramsey asked.
“For the Voyambi family to join as well.” You suggested in English before switching to marinai.
“How else is the excellent Duke ever supposed to side on a moura wife after just one dance when he has to share her with a whole ballroom of people? Really it would open his eyes to see what he would be getting into and who knows, his tastes might surprise us but in order to remain subtle, I should think the whole family should be invited, especially since he holds his sister’s opinions in such high regard, that way the mouras will have a chance to charm his parents and the rest of his family as well, and might as well invite Jane Morrigan too, no need for her to be involved directly with your investigation, she is still a sweet innocent young thing, let her parents pay for their own sins without inflicting any more upon her.” You suggested sweetly.
“Clever girl.” Ramsey praised in English.
“It’s how I’ve managed to stay alive,” you smiled but the look in your eyes thrilled Ramsey but Demsey knew better, with the revelation that Callellea disclosed to him. He knew it was probably only because of your wits that you survived even this long.
“Well upon the insistence of the Sultana that your family also be included and gave a very convincing argument, so let us not disappoint her, I will go with you to inform your parents so that they may send for your family’s things directly, and you’ll be staying at the Windsor Palace as well.” He insisted before the three of you went, as you took the Dauphin’s arm but reached behind you to grasp Demsey’s hand and give him meaningful look over your shoulder before you reluctantly withdrew from him as more people came into the gallery.
Once the Voyambi’s were informed you had the Dauphin go with you to the Morrigans to invite Jane to come with you as your personal friend to the Palace of Windsor with you of which Richard and Agnes were thrilled and happy to indulge you.
