I wanna see how different writers interpret this ask, and you’re the first one I’m asking, how do you think the Jericho Crew would react to people mistaking Reader as an android Prototype, due to them being one of 6 near-identical siblings (Sextuplets)

the people think they’re apart of a rare RK Series, and ask them questions about them, the reader, being a human, doesn’t know how to respond, so they just go with it, making up the most goofy and outlandish features of this “RK line”

ex: “I’ve never heard of this RK series before, what do you guys do?”

“We’re programmed with the ability to do hard drugs and sustain minimal damage, ma’am!”

✦MARKUS wouldn't play along with the mistaking of the reader as an android prototype. He would maintain his composed demeanor and correct them by responding "Excuse me, They're human, not an android." in a calm tone.

Like Markus, ✦NORTH doesn't find the situation amusing and is more blunt and straightforward. She'd reply to the person saying that "They're actually human." Since she doesn't have the patience for playful fabrication and prefers to correct the misunderstanding directly.

✦SIMON would likely be the voice of reason in this situation. He might try to politely correct the misunderstanding, but if the reader insists on going along with it, Simon would likely play along in a lighthearted manner. He might say something like "Ah yes, The RK series that's programmed to have an insatiable love for puppies and kittens that they can't resist cuddling them and giving them belly rubs whenever they see them."

✦JOSH would likely approach the situation with a sense of humor and wit, I feel like he's just that kind of guy y'know? He would probably enjoy the opportunity to engage in some playful banter with the mistaken individuals and come up with clever responses on the spot. He might say something like "Yes, they're known for their extraordinary ability to recite Shakespearean sonnets on demand, and they have an advanced feature that allows them to instantly analyze any cheese and provide a detailed critique. Can you write Jericho crew with a human s/o who honestly doesn’t act like one. Her reactions are kind of late, almost delayed. She doesn’t blink for a long period of time, nobody has ever seen her eat or drink before, and oddly enough, if you stare long enough, you can convince yourself she doesn’t even breathe, she could pass as an android if she wanted to!!

-Buuuut that’s not to say he wasn’t curious

Can you do something for D:BH where reader is just very unresponsive to most things, like most things don’t get a reaction out of her, she just stares at you like you’re stupid, or like she wants you to leave.

So the characters think they’re kinda rude at first, but THEN they see the reader around their sibling and their completely different.

He was used to androids being ambivalent about his presence

There was something about you that drew him in though

Most androids came to him alone while others came in groups

You were alone whenever he saw you, always with a disgruntled look on your face when he asked you if you needed anything

One day, he happened to see you sitting alone

it's not like he was watching you or anything

And it's like your entire appearance lights up once your eyes meet someone else's. He'd never seen a brighter smile, and his bioregulator skipped a beat

You pull them into a hug, and his heart breaks a little bit

North immediately notices his forlorn look and informs him that you came with a sibling

North

North was definitely less welcoming to your ambivalence and empty stares

Definitely interpreted the looks you gave her as disdain

Definitely tried to figure out wtf she did to make you dislike her so... definitely hurt her own feelings by overthinking

That is, until your siblings comes to Jericho and she sees the flip switch inside you

You're bubbly and cracking jokes. It's unlike anything she's sen before, and she'd give anything to see it again

Definitely corners your sibling and interrogates them on how to get on your good side

Josh

The type of guy to always have his eyes on you but never actually talk to you

He also has rbf so he believes your looks are just how your face rests

He watches as other androids attempt to interact with you without success

It kinda endears him in a way???

His fondness for you grows as he sees you interact with the android you came with

Your smile is bright and full, and you're laughing

It's the most amazing sound he's ever heard

Definitely wants to be the person who makes you smile and laugh like that all the time

Detroit Become Human Characters Ranked best to worst Huggers

1. Luther: Big, robust, and beefy man. Sure he wasn't exactly brought up to be so soft by nature, but now that he's free? Hugging is now second nature to him, and he wants to share as much comfort and love as possible. Think of this as his way of making up for the lost time.

2. Kara: Was, in fact, programmed for this. A mother bear to her core, one who is equally protective and fierce as she is tender and loving. She is absolutely the type to drop what she's currently doing and partake in a bit of snuggle time if she notices you're looking a little down or if you tell her something is the matter.

3. Chloe: Again, c'mon, you KNOW she is just the sweetest, and she's all for hugs! Surprisingly she's also pretty intuitive and, without asking, would be able to pick up on your body language and tell whether you needed something soft and quick or if you were in serious need of a little physical intimacy. Will probably give you a kiss on the cheek, to boot! (Consider the rest of the Chloes, too, for a cuddle pile.)

4. Simon: While it's true that Simon might come off as a little uneasy and quiet sometimes, to those close to him, it's less awkward and more calming. Gives the best hugs to those close to him. He's surprisingly warm and very comforting. Definitely, the one you'd want to go for if you were in the mood to just vibe out while in another's arms. ( He's a lot stronger than he looks.)

5. Markus: Simon and Markus are at about a tie regarding who is a better hugger, and it mostly comes down to personal preference. Markus is your guy if you're more in the mood for a strong, secure hug. But he's also probably not the type to initiate hugs or tell if you're in need of one.

  6. Josh: He would be much higher ranked here. However, it's just that he's more the one who would much rather receive a hug, rather than give on. But still, that isn't to say he would ever deny you a hug if you were to ask! Very gentle and calming, if everyday life left you feeling overwhelmed, and you just needed a break for a minute, he's your guy! Just be prepared to return the favor later.

7. Connor: Again, he is pretty quiet and maybe a little socially awkward, but he has a bit of a hidden sweet spot for hugs! Connor may come off as stiff with the hug, but he's doing his best! Though all this in mind, he likely won't initiate any physical touch with you unless you either ask first or if he asks and you say yes.

8. Daniel: Oh boy, if you're not someone he knows very well or has a long history with, any physical contact likely wouldn't go over well with him, full stop. However, if you can manage to get past his defenses and convince him he's safe around you, there's a whole other side to Daniel to get to know! Like Connor, Daniel likely wouldn't touch you without permission first, and he might unintentionally have a considerably firm grip and a bit of a clinger. But he does all this in an endearing way. Like a child who doesn't know any better but to cling as tight as possible to the people they love the most. You can't fault Daniel for acting like this or even see any of this as a bad thing, to an extent.

9. Hank: He is 100% the kind of person who says they hate hugs but will offer one if you're someone close and look like you really need one. Also, this goes both ways as he is the kind of person who never asks for one but wouldn't hate it if one were to offer. (Well, at least not in public, of course.)

10. Gavin: Alright, so disregarding the fact that it's probably a mistake to go to this man for emotional support any day. Additionally, this guy really falls flat when it comes to understanding the emotional needs of other people unless they outright tell him. So if you were feeling bad and asked for a hug, maybe you could get a half-decent hug out of it, perhaps he'll even throw in a joke to try and cheer you up here, but that's about as good as it might get with this one.

11. Kamski: Kinda a unique case this one! While most of the other characters rated lower on the list are poor huggers because they simply aren't the touchy-feely type, this does not extend to Elijah. He can tend to clam up and get a little awkward when it comes to hugs because he has issues with physical touch, but if you were to go to him, genuinely emotionally vulnerable and in need of comfort, he might freeze up here. It's a situation well outside his comfort zone, and he might be awkward.

12. Nines: A bad hugger in the "I don't see the point of this, and I don't care" full-stop mentality. He has potential sure, but I wouldn't count on it.

With a human reader who cries for the first time ever, but she suddenly slaps herself to shut herself up, as she “doesn’t need distractions” when she’s working, and that includes any emotion that isn’t complete focus

She goes back to a black face after that

The fact that Jericho crew is four people really cramps my vibe of allowing three characters per request. For this headcanon, I’ll be doing Markus, North, and Josh. Also, I assume you meant blank face. If not, then we’re gonna have some issues. Anyway:

Markus, North, and Josh react to a reader crying for the first time, only to stop themselves since there’s “no time for distractions”.

Markus

In the first moments you are crying, Markus is there to make sure you’re all right.

He’s actually really good at comforting others and something about him feels safe, which helps if you’re the type who likes physical comfort when in a pit of feelings.

And, to him, it doesn’t really matter that it’s the first time you’ve cried in front of him; he’d act like this regardless of who you are and how many times you’ve cried.

Though, when you slap at your face to pull yourself together from your crying, he’s taken aback.

He tries to encourage you not to slap your face when this happens, taking your hands to keep you from continuing the action.

He advises that crying is not a distraction. Like, you’re allowed to have feelings. And you’re allowed to express those feelings.

There is a little part of him that’s impressed that you can turn it off just like that - he thought that was more something in line of what an android would do.

But a majority of his reaction would be to keep you from hitting yourself, along with encouraging you to feel what you’re feeling.

It doesn’t really matter if you’re working or not, because, to him, you should come first, and if crying is something you need to do right now, then he encourages you to do it. The work will get done, it can wait. Let’s focus on you and what you need right now.

North

If she finds you crying, she’s concerned. Assuming she knows you well enough, she’ll be at your side.

She won’t really do a lot more than just be there, though. She’s not as familiar with comforting others, so she can offer herself as another body in space, which some people find to be enough.

When you begin to slap at your face, she’ll grab at your wrists to get you to stop.

She’ll start to talk you down, get you to breathe.

She can understand the want to not cry in front of others, but offers some better ways to go about bringing yourself down from a high emotion state.

She may not have the best experience with this, but the advice she offers is better than slapping yourself.

It mainly consists of a breathing exercise and an exercise that put yourself in space so you can ground yourself.

She’ll check up on you after that interaction, but will be indirect about it for the most part.

Josh

Josh is similar to North in that he’ll be beside you while you’re crying, but he lacks knowledge of what to do in situations like these.

He watches as a way to monitor you, to make sure you’ll be okay at the end of this.

When you begin to slap at your face, he intervenes, taking your hands and keeping them away from your face.

Talks you down like North does, discouraging the idea that slapping your face is the best way to stop crying, cause it really isn’t.

He’s the one of the three to have a really long conversation about you feeling as though crying is a distraction from your work. There’s so much more life outside of work, why prioritize that over everything else? Including yourself?

Josh uses words to incite action, so he offers alternatives to ways to calm yourself down after crying, along with resources about deconstructing the idea that crying is a distraction.

Having been a lecturer at a university, he knows where to find good resources, which comes in handy for situations like these.

Jericho was being attacked, Markus activated the bomb. The six of you were running towards the exit. "Fuck!" You yelped when you got shot in the leg, making you fall to the ground. The five androids turned around and looked at you.

"We have to go, Markus. There's not much time!" North yelled.

"We can still save them." Josh said. "They're just a human! They slaughter our people!" North argued, "We have to go!"

"No- I can't leave them!" Markus tried to reach for you but then North grabbed him.

"[Name]!" Markus yelled before he was pulled away onto the exit.

They all jumped. They left you behind. How could they..? You've done so much for them.

Giggling, you run up the staircase of Carl Manfred's mansion. He was out on a ride around the futuristic neighborhood, instructing you to keep a close eye on his droid. If only he’d known the relationship you had forming with his caretaker, maybe he wouldn’t have been so lenient.

You see, as Markus had adapted to the corresponding life of Detroit, you, alongside Carl, had noticed some changes. Human-like changes in fact. As you’d read in the magazines and newspapers in Detroit, the robots have similar body structures on the outside, adaptive feelings on the inside.

You hadn’t noticed it then, when you’d first met the small family, but you sure as hell didn’t take long to notice the signs. Attraction. Lust. Want. All different words, all the same meanings between human... and robot.

Smiling curiously, Markus eyes you from the bottom of the staircase, eyes wide and childlike.

“What, are you just gonna stand there? Or, are you gonna chase me?” you laugh, flying up the remaining stairs and down the hall.

Clogs working for a moment, Markus’ LED, a small moment of blinking orange before his mind is made up and flashes back to blue. Smiling, he runs up the stairs after you, following down the hall to the door you’d left ajar. Walking through, he’s yet again left dumbfounded, standing stoic and straight at the sight before his eyes.

Before him, you stand in only a robe, having quickly stripped your body of clothes to leave just your pre-planned black lingerie. Your cheeks ablaze, you spin the tie of the robe seductively, grinning up at Markus with slight regret.

“What’s this?” he asks, a burning sensation curling in the pit of his abdomen.

“Well, I have noticed... how you look at me,” you start, staring at the floor, “And, it’s almost childlike. How you stare openly and so transparent. You want me, don’t you Markus?”

Eyes having roamed your form freely, Markus gulps then snaps his attention back to your awaiting gaze, a swift nod collecting your straggling thoughts. “Yes. Yes I do,” he nods again.

“Then have me,” you smirk.

In two swift strides, Markus’ hands splay at your hips, pulling your body to meld right against his. Then do you feel his arousal on your stomach, poking and prodding in selfish need. Fumbling with the robe, he feels the fabric in embarrassment, his innocence and uncertainty laid plainly before you.

“You don’t have experience, huh?”

He shakes his head again, going to pull away from you.

Grabbing his hands, you pull them to lay on your palms, “Then I’m just gonna have to show you.” You laugh and push him lightly to fall against the bed, a soft smile gracing his lips again.

Removing your robe and tossing it to the floor, you motion for Markus to sit up, helping him out of his shirt, then motion for him to remove his pants and shoes. Once he’s done so, you push him back against the headboard, smiling confidently at him for reassurance. “You don’t need to tense up, I’ve got you.”

Straddling his hips, you place your hands on his cheeks, sensually starting a rhythm when your hips find his begging tip through his boxers, your arousal dampening the soft material. His body tightens again, a wave of pleasure coursing through him as the first grinds start.

You giggle, placing a soft kiss to his lips, soon tracing a line down his neck to his collar. Looking up, his breathing quickens and cheeks heat in pleasure. He was close, but you couldn’t allow the fun to be over yet.

Removing yourself from where you both needed each other, you pull Markus lightly, asking him to lay on the pillows. Submissively, he does so, staring at you in adoration. Sitting up on your knees, you pin his arms above his head with your hands, kissing his passionately. 

Detaching yourself again, you kiss and nibble his jaw, slowly moving down towards his chest, admiring the firm exterior of his chest and arms. “You’re so hot,” you compliment, smiling up at him for a second.

His cheeks blaze, the humane normalcy a complete marvel to you.

“However, I’m just getting started,” you giggle as his eyes widen. “I’M just getting started.”

MARKUS — markus would be really really sweet,, like making sure they're loved and smart and important and amazing and all that. maybe a little bit of an aj x clem dynamic ? like where markus is teaching the kid all of these steps and how to behave to make the human race believe androids, of all ages, deserve rights. i just think markus would be a really good ( adoptive ) dad and role model <3

JOSH — i think josh would deff be teaching this kid right,, like be kind, be nice, be helpful, don't talk back unless it's a fight you should be proud to win. probably praising his child all the time , say they did a drawing or read a story or sang a song, josh would be right there with all the laurv <33 probably would restrict them a bit ? like wanting to protect them, and just because he doesn't really have the experience so he tries to keep them stable

NORTH — i feel like north would be soso x10 caring and v overprotective of them. if anything ever happens to them she's on it and going batshit, defending and fighting for her kid. but when it's just the two of them she's generally very soft,, but very aggressive in the way she won't accept any self doubts or anything

SIMON — instead of being like a parent or sibling figure or something, simon would be just a really cool bff. probably confused a lot of the time and doesn't know what to do, but they both learn together <3 they have this relationship where it's like they take turns being the parent , and they're very dependant on each other
