“I have to admit–your costume is pretty damn good.”

“Yeah? Just ‘pretty good?’”

“Mhmm. Almost looks like the real thing,” you remark, taking another sip of the dangerously sweet jungle juice in your cup. It's an unreadable mix of bad ideas and bold flirtation, perfect for a Halloween party of barely 21 adults. The blonde guy beside you on the worn leather couch tilts his head slightly like he's re-affirming what you just said in his mind. “I think the real Dynamight would be impressed.”

“Would he, now,” he huffs under his breath, mouth curling into an unreadable smirk. He exhales a quick breath of what you think is amusement through his nose, eyes flicking over your body for the umpteenth time since he sat down with you. It makes your face heat up and you casually avert your gaze downward, catching more details of his costume that you didn’t notice before. 

The gauntlets were obviously the star of the arrangement, covered in numerous scratches, burns, and dents that attested to their “battle” usage. The boots were impressive, too, and you wondered how long it took to place every individual orange eyelet over the front of each calf. The cinder block rectangles sitting on his broad shoulders truly looked like real stone, solid like the toned muscle holding them up. It was the domino mask that threw you off the most, though. The guy must have been wearing bright red contacts, or something, because to look so similar to the actual Pro should have been considered a crime. 

“Who’d you come to the party with?”

“Just some friends,” he replies, shrugging an infuriatingly sexy shoulder. His entire look was putting the real Dynamight to shame, in your opinion. He nods upward in the direction of a guy in an equally accurate Deku costume standing with a very convincing Shoto lookalike. “They dared me to wear this and I lost the bet.”

“Must have been some bet, if you’re moping over here like a toddler.” The shrewdness of your words escapes you until they’re already past your lips; thankfully, he just smirks again and leans his head back, resting an arm on the back of the sofa.

“I’ll ignore that you said that, 'cause you're clearly intoxicated” he mutters, shooting you a brutal side-eye. Thanks to the alcohol, though, you’re far from deterred. 

“How gracious,” you chuckle and his smirk gets a little more arrogant. “What was the bet?”

“Some dumb drinking contest. That asswipe in the green can put down more shots than he looks.” He scowls and you fight down the urge to giggle at his bitter expression. He was the only guy you’ve ever seen that could make a grumpy face look hot. The only guy besides Bakugo himself, of course. “I wouldn’t have worn this shit to a party to save my life.”

“What, Dynamight isn’t your favorite Pro?”

“I’m more of an All Might guy,” he replies nonchalantly. He appreciates the classic heroes. Good sign. “If I had to choose a different one, I’d probably say Jeanist.”

“Jeanist is pretty cool. My best friend had a cardboard cutout of Eraserhead in her closet growing up.” He barks out a laugh and it startles you, but a mysterious feeling in your stomach wants to make him do it again. “What do you think of the current gen of heroes?” He hums thoughtfully, running his tongue over his top lip and you swallow back your drool.

“Red Riot’s a good guy. Deku pisses me the fuck off, but he’s got a good head on his shoulders. Same thing with Pinky and that Half-and-Half asshat. Chargebolt…” His expression turns into a frown so deep you’re worried that Chargebolt killed his family or something heinous like that. 

“What about him?”

“He’s just dumb. If given the choice between his life and a grain of sand, I’d take the sand,” he deadpans and you choke unexpectedly, wincing as your drink travels up the wrong tube and into your nose. His eyes widened in concern, reaching out to pat your back but deciding against it at the last moment. His glove-covered hands hover around you like you’re radioactive matter, carefully watching as you regain your composure. “You good, nerd?” Uses the same vocabulary as the real guy, too. Kind of weird, but I guess we all have our idols. 

“Yeah, I’m good. I just didn’t expect you to badmouth him like you two were friends from high school or something,” you joke lightheartedly and the guy blinks at you twice before computing what you said. 

“It’s whatever. They’re super fuckin’ easy to read, in any case,” he states with an air of finality and you down the rest of your drink, the dim lighting starting to blur everything around you into a single greenish-orange blob. “What about you? What are your thoughts on the new gen?”

“I can’t make such bold judgments as you, but I do think Dynamight is pretty cool,” you admit, suddenly feeling a little bashful when having the same question turned on you. The truth was, you followed the lives of the heroes a bit too closely than the average person should. It fascinated you so much that you were majoring in Quirk-specific journalism, studying the social and economic consequences of being a Pro. “I think his public persona is an interesting case when compared to other heroes.”

“How so?”

“Well, I’d like to imagine that he’s not always the loud, arrogant, obnoxious piece of shit that the press shows,” you start and narrow your eyes in confusion when he flinches at your description. You continue anyway but choose your words a little more carefully. Probably isn’t good to upset the guy who might have fashioned functioning gauntlets, if the costume truly is accurate. “There’s a side to him that I think the public doesn’t know about and doesn’t care to know about, since it’s easier to understand him as a loudmouth with no sense of manners. I just wonder who that guy is under all the yelling and testosterone.” His silence is deafening and you worry that you somehow offended him, but his tone is so gentle that your assumption becomes an impossibility.

“Seems like you’ve given this guy a great deal of thought,” he says lowly, voice barely audible over the sound of the blaring house music. 

“Well, he is my favorite,” you add quietly, not expecting him to catch what you said. He does, though, and that mischievous smirk returns to his face. Somehow, you two had inched closer together over the course of your conversation, and you were now close enough to smell his cologne. It was something deep and smoky, with a surprise note of sweetness, like caramel. “I’ve been following his hero career since I was in high school.”

“I didn’t take you for a superfan, but I do appreciate your support,” he chuckles and your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “You seriously haven’t figured it out?”

“Figured what out?”

“That I’m Dynamight, stupid. This is my actual costume and those are my actual friends. Hell, I'm paying for this whole shitty party,” he says incredulously, genuinely shocked that you didn’t come to that conclusion already. Your skepticism, however, rears its head and you burst out into rude laughter. 

Dynamight? Yeah, right. More like Dyna-maybe. 

“Excuse me?” He stares at you like you’d grown three heads and your heart drops into your stomach. You must have said your thoughts out loud. Fuck! “You’ve got some nerve, testing the patience of a Pro.” His words, under any other circumstances, would have cut down your pride like a knife. However, his eyes were conveying a different story, one of lust and want and holyshityouwantedhim. “Got anything to say, sweetheart? Or are you gonna just keep gaping like a fuckin’ goldfish?” You abruptly snap your jaw back into place, leaning your head into your hand and smiling in triumph when his gaze again uncontrollably rakes over your body.  

“I’ll believe it when I see it.”

“See what, gorgeous?”

“That a Pro kisses better than a normal person,” you murmur and his pupils blow to the size of pool balls. He wastes no time, gently but firmly grabbing your chin with two fingers and pulling your mouth onto his. His lips are ridiculously soft and you muster up the courage to bite him softly, heartbeat racing when he groans into your mouth. One arm drapes itself over the back of the couch, the other pulling you as close to him as humanly possible without practically sitting on him. Your hand combs through his hair and the other keeps him on you by the back of his neck.

Right when you run out of breath, he pulls away and swears colorfully at the phone buzzing in his pocket, answering it with one hand while his forearm is still pressed against your lower back. You absentmindedly trace his jawline with a finger while he curses out the person on the other line, eventually chucking the device over his shoulder like it was the last thing he was thinking about. “You need to go somewhere, sweetheart?” He lightly pinches your side at your mockery and you jump, flicking his forehead in defiance. 

“Nah, that was a job for Dynamight. Right now, I guess I’m still fuckin' Dyna-maybe,” he rasps and leans back in to kiss you again but you push his face away, giving him as sober of a look as possible. “What?”

“If you need to go kick ass, then go kick ass. I’m just some random makeout at a party,” you remind him, painfully aware of the sting if he was to leave you alone. His expression contorts into indignancy again but you still try to convince him to alleviate whatever situation he was called in for. “Your job is more important than a hookup.”

“I don’t do hookups, dumbass. I’m interested in you,” he states plainly and your face is set on fire. The Pro, who you just insulted to his face, was interested in you? “So, let’s get out of here, yeah? I can make you dinner that isn’t shitty pizza.” His mouth breaks into a devilish grin and you’re already grabbing onto his hand like your life depended on it. 

“If someone messes with us?”

“It’s a good thing I’m already in costume.”

Hi, Miss Raven! What're your thoughts on the new characters' designs and the new cards we're getting?

I'll post my general thoughts below! I unfortunately don't know enough about Pinocchio myself to point out all the little easter eggs in their outfits, so I'll leave that to those who are more knowledgeable than me.

***Spoilers below the cut!!***

Regarding the NRC boys' looks overall, I think it's a very fun theme and very fitting for the location of the event. I like that they all still wear masks, just in a different context than in Glorious Masquerade. One thing I did notice is that the masks seem... same-y? Like they all resemble thick tree roots or something like that. So maybe they aren't masks at all, but they're associated with whatever the conflict in the story is. (I previously suggested mind control or the loss of consciousness, so maybe the "roots" play into that???) You can see the marionette theme Yana was going for, as well as some design elements from Black Butler's circus arc, very clearly. The poses for each of the boys, even the R cards, are extremely dynamic and imply a strong sense of movement. The ribbons are such a simple detail that contributes a lot to this sense of whimsy and flow.

Some comments I have on specific designs and poses:

Suspenders are so... Trey 💀 THERE'S REALLY NOTHING ELSE FOR ME TO ADD HERE, THEY JUST SUIT HIM

I like it when Trey makes these kind of slightly sus but plausibly deniable faces... He should make more of them...

I can't see the front of Jack's outfit that well, so I don't know if I can fully comment on it??? But I can see his. Like. Physique... coming through... That chest to waist ratio/j

Seeing Jack's tail like that kinda weirds me out. I think that's the first time we've gotten a "full" view of how the tails look coming out of the pants??? So maybe I'll get more used to it with time...

I like how his undershirt is frilled and how he has that sash at his waist it reminds me of the genderbent design for my TWST OC! The fact that both he and Floyd have the eel emblem that resembles a heart is also really cute~

Lilis is my favorite design of the R cards!! There's a very good distribution of ruffles throughout the look, and his knotted skirts fit well with his personal flair.

I'm not a huge fan of the style of hat Cater's wearing (sorry to all the Cay-kun stans out there), but I can appreciate his look. His dress appears more militant than Trey's, and his posing is certainly more aggressive--it's nice to see him in this new light.

The way Floyd is posed reminds me of those people that walk around on stilts. I think I much prefer the coloration on Floyd's outfit than on Jade's, but I prefer Floyd's jacket to Jade's. I think Floyd's the best of the SR designs!

Shockingly, Vil's look doesn't stand out to me that much??? I enjoy his sash, but I don't immediately pick up on anything in his illustration that catches my eye.

His pose resembles that of a ballerina, which just makes me think about the time he assigned Epel and Deuce extra (ballet) dance lessons in book 5 ajdbhasivldsadued

Of the SSRs, Ace is definitely my favorite one. He just looks so dramatic soaking up that spotlight and trying to look cool while doing it... Bro's 100% thinking, "heheheheh, I'm SO awesome :))" in his head.

Ace's design also reminds me a lot of Jack Hearts (from Disney Villain Recruiters). Not sure if it was intentional or not, but I'm definitely super into it!

HHNNNNNGNGHGHHGHGNGNGHHGHGHGHGHHHHH I WANNA BITE HIS HEAD OFF AND BULLY HIM SO BAD, I WANNA WIPE THAT SMIRK OF FHIS DUMB FACEe Am I seriously about to revert back to my Brat Loving era for Trappola... Maybe so...

I was pretty much expecting a SSR Ace (because he's a trickster with a brother that works in an amusement park) and Ortho (literally a robot that became a real boy), but Kalim took me by surprise. In hindsight, I guess it makes sense though...? Kalim has a similar immature vibe as the other two (plus I do remember there being this one scene in Aladdin where the Sultan was dressed like a jester that was being maneuvered on puppet strings).

It's great that Kalim gets to be a little out of his usual element and make darker, more mysterious expressions like what we see in his new illustration. I'm not sure if I entirely agree with how he's dressed (the yellow jacket is WAY too bright), but I love his his coattails (???) trail behind him in waves.

OR-KUN MY SON 😭😭😭 As is the case with all of his gears, I adore how the devs creatively adapted clothing into metal parts for Ortho! The half-caplet is easily the best part of the whole look for me (the pattern on it reminds me of stars falling down)--and because Ortho has a smaller stature, the type of hat he's wearing isn't as offputting; it actually looks very cute on him.

ANYWAY, VERY HAPPY THAT ORTHO GETS TO HAVE A HALLOWEEN SSR TO MATCH HIS BROTHER'S HALLOWEEN SSR FROM LAST YEAR... They match!!!

... Is that the fucking cricket on Ortho’s cape... and the goldfish on Kalim’s scarf… AND THE CAT ON ACE’S WAIST… What does this meeeean 🤡

And now for my thoughts on the two new boys!! Honestly?? I don't actually have much to comment on in this regard because I try to reserve my judgment of characters until I've actually seen them in action. I haven't seen Pinocchio either, so I don't have a strong basis for what their personalities would be like based on their original Disney counterpart. I only vaguely understand that Honest John and Gideon trick children into visiting Pleasure Island... That's it, that's the full extent of my knowledge on that pair. I don't have any other expectations going in other than "yeah, these two are going to swindle me".

Gidel looks like a mix of Cheka and Ruggie to me (because of the hair and the eye shape). He seems like he’ll be the other guy’s goon, similar to how Jade and Floyd/Ruggie follow Azul/Leona. Nothing else for me to add, Gidel seems alright… Just a silly lil’ guy!

I have more… mixed thoughts on Ferro. One one hand, he looks like the exact kind of shady bitch I’d love. (You know, the ones that smile and lie and manipulate and drive a knife into your back and—LOOK, HE’S VERY J WORD CORE) On the other hand, I’m beating back the “you like cat/dog boys” allegations from my friends, so 💀 I can’t give in so easily/j

Looks-wise, Ferro’s iteration of the rat tail hair is not as ugly to me as Malleus’s is. (I think it’s because it looks more windswept!) I also really like how he dresses—very dapper 😌 and he can pull off green eyeshadow well!

I’m wondering how they’ll make Ferro different than the other con artists we’ve seen so far *eyes Octavinelle* but I’m keeping my hopes up since the devs did a good job remixing the “I have a dead brother and I feel immense guilt about it” backstory for Rollo (when Idia had a similar one). Looking forward to that~

I’m sure my thoughts will chance once I actually get to see them in the event! ^^ I’ll keep you posted. For now, I’ll keep cautious. (Actually, this fan art basically summarizes my current feelings on the two! I’m Rollo/j)

it seems like he's a little shit in every supernatural-verse because, like his werewolf self, he loves testing the boundaries of his secret as a vampire, too

while junhui's testing is more in conversation, joshua straight up just. goes as a vampire every year for halloween. when you ask him to please dress as something else, he asks you if he doesn't look good because he'll actually consider a different costume if you think that

and as much as you want to lie, you can't deny that he suits the stereotypical count dracula get up: long black cape with the stiff pointed collar, medieval white blouse with frilled accents, velvet button vest, fake (FAKE!! you had to confirm) blood in the corner of his mouth, and all

(maybe you just like the way he looks with his hair slicked back)

so you settle for something actually truthful and say that jeonghan looks better as count dracula, and joshua rolls his eyes, saying that jeonghan just has a drowned victorian orphan vibe

when people ask him where he got the cool fangs from, he runs his tongue over his teeth and says that he has a friend heavily invested in cosplay

enough about that, though. i think his competitive nature and natural athleticism make him a frightening trainer. not as scary as leader line, of course, but the newer vampires are definitely hesitant to approach him

and if he approaches them with a friendly challenge, they're not sure if they'll come out of it in one piece, even if he's giving them an easy smile

he's actually not that mean :( he doesn't know where the reputation came from, but he just wants to be nice to the newbies

what finally convinces everyone of his soft side is having you around. he darts to you, and everyone expects you to flinch from his superhuman speed, but you only squint your eyes from the dust kicked up. he screeches to a halt right in front of you and greets you so gently

oh. well, if joshua is capable of treating a human this way...

eventually the rumors die out, but he kind of liked the immunity it gave him (and you by default), so he makes sure that everyone knows how strong he is once in a while

it's mostly for your safety. no one wants to face joshua's wrath if you were to get hurt

his self-restraint in general is incredible, though. you thought it was a myth that vampires get feral around blood because he seems so calm whenever you get a paper cut

until you get scratched by a branch near the newer vampires. "aw man," you say, seeing a drop of blood squeeze out of the thin cut

it all happens so fast. just a screech, a rush of wind, and a heavy thud. by the time you blink, junhui has an arm in front of you, and you see joshua on the floor, keeping two vampires down as they writhe

"fucking try it," he snarls into their faces

໑ Kalopsia by delsicle / @eeveelou (M, 9k, established relationship, dark au, very very dark please read tags and author’s note) so well written and well thought. it’s very heavy so be careful if you don’t like dark aus but if you do, you’re gonna love this one. i’m planning on rereading this during halloween if not before bc it was really good.

໑ let me be your good night by @levelofcharm (E, 10.5k, strangers to lovers, valentine’s day, rich louis, waiter harry, read tags) i loved the characterisation here (especially Louis’), it was very close to my heart. and in general it was so good, so entertaining to read.

໑ Obsessive Love by Jennifer_Kaid / @poetsreprieve (E, 11k, strangers to lovers, prison au, dark harry, innocent louis) i felt like watching a series when i was reading this. i could read more abt this universe with no hesitation, it was amazing.

໑ kiss me in your chevrolet by cinnamons / @sunbellylou (E, 11k, established relationship, road trip au, read tags) ahhh this story was amazing. it tele-transported me to a new era completely. my heart ached for Louis but i loved how cherished he was by Harry, unconditionally. came for the smut, stayed for the feelings.  

໑ Souls; Plural, Parallel by LadyLondonderry / @londonfoginacup (T, 19.6k, strangers to lovers, soulmates au, one night stand, pregnant louis) such a cute concept and a extremely fun way to tell it. i fell in love with several things during my reading, especially how lovely Louis was towards Harry.

໑ lovin' online by @levelofcharm and @pleasing-louis (NR, 27k, established relationship, frat boys au, sex tapes) i loved every second of this. their relationship was so lovely and admirable, there are very sweet moments during the fic, but there’s also smut which was hot HOT so you’ll find a good mix here.

His username is literally just Micheal-Myers or some variation on it if that’s already taken

He mostly just Reblogs the occasional “Can’t wait for Halloween” “it’s November” “Can’t wait for Halloween” post.

However the actual reason he got this account was to ominously like all of Laurie’s posts

The problem is that she blocked him immediately

She doesn’t even know for sure that it was old Mikey she just thinks naming your account after the guy who destroyed her life is a dick move

And his profile pick is the mask so she knows it’s not the actor or some other guy named Micheal Myers they’re talking about

"n' my costume's good, aight?" he shot back, peering down at you and chuckled while you rolled your eyes.

sharp nails dusted some short strands of blonde hair away from your eyes, pretty lace front tied into two pigtails. then, your lace clad hands tugged straight the black dress you wore, feeling it ride up your thighs every time you moved in the car.

"nah, you know it is. i told you since october first! 'hey 'ren im dressin' as misa for halloween, you better show up to my apartment as light yagami or you gettin' kicked out' or sumn like that, remember?" wet glossy red lips smacked together as you chewed your gum loudly. eren, unamused, "now ion- ion remember hearin' dat last part, baby." he smiled at you and gave an aerated chuckle.

"shuddup shuddup! let's go, we don't got all night." you shut him up quick and unlocked the car door waiting for eren to do the same,

"what's the rush, huh? want me to fuck you in that costume when we get back to your apartment?" he sucked a lip between his teeth and looked at you expectantly while you open the door, "no dumbass, maybe you woulda got sum' if you were dressed as light, damn!" shutting the car door on him. eren shook his head and followed along.

"two tickets to the haunted house please!" you chirped at the attendant, chilly fall air tickling your almost bare legs that eren kept a large hand on. he wasn't too fond of the way the clerk looked at you but kept his comments to a minimum, letting you drag him to the entrance cheerily.

despite his rough and tough act, in a shaggy costume, eren loathed horror, scary movies and of course: haunted houses.

"you really wanna' do this?" he pulled you back from entering the pathway and started whining and rocking your shoulders back and forth in a terrible attempt to convince you otherwise. 

"and what do you suggest we do otherwise mr. yeager or should i say shaggy?" he cleared his throat quickly, "first of all, don't call me that. second of all, can you leave my shaggy costume alone? it's cute girl, i know you like it."

you blinked your eyes, in false astonishment.

"this sassy ass nigga pandemic has got to stop, jesus fuckin' christ. look- c'mon on," you grabbed eren's arm and pulled him in the entrance.

ghoulish music sounded out on the entrance, eren held onto your waist and you his arm as you navigated shortly in the dark beginnings. the narrow, bending path through the haunted house before you came upon a blue-green glow of the upper lights lining the walls that were decorated with fake spider webs, skeletons and witch dummies.

"oh wait, this cute as hell hold on," you whispered with a giggle, peeping back to look up at eren who had a frozen look of terror on his face.

you snickered, pulling out your phone and snapping a bright picture of his face and then one of the haunted room. just as you turned back to put your phone away, you felt a tug at your purse, you swung your body to the left, "what the fuck is that!" eren bawled out behind you gripping your purse and dragging you backwards.

you were more focused on getting him to get off your dior purse, "'ren stop grabbing my fucking bag!" you wrangled with him, annoyed, "fucking— babe look behind you!" swirving around you see a tall gorey looking figure, cleary made to be a zombie wearing ripped clothing and groaning as he came near you both.

visibly annoyed and agitated, you let out a high pitched scream, eren and the zombie froze, the latter ducking the minute you swung your purse around: effectively giving the actor a fatal smack down. you grabbed eren and left the groaning zombie behind your heels and rounded the next corner.

with a quickness, and swings of your heavy purse beating whatever was in your way, you skipped out through the swirly pathways, dragging  eren by his loose green shirt until you saw the bright lights of the amusement park's rides.

"if you pull that shit again i swear to god im gon' beat yo ass right in there with that damn zombie too!" you pointed a finger in his face, a sheen of sweat covering him and he gulped, "it was fuckin' scary im sorry! did you see his face?" you dropped your wait onto your other heel, "be fuckin' for real right now, let's get some snacks and go back to my apartment." you pouted up at him and his lips twitched with a bit of guilt.

"aight what about..." he rocked back and forth on his feet, "if we get korean hot dogs n' glazed donuts, we c'n ill sit quiet n' watch the original scream with you."

Okay, so what is we know the devil and should I watch it? Because your reblog spam you do every so often has me intrigued and I would like to hear you talk about it if you want to

We Know The Devil is a short little indie game about three kids on a summer camp for "bad kids" that is clearly a metaphor for conversion camps and they are in charge of beating the devil with their magical girl radios, the devil is also clearly a metaphor for queerness since it's something they insist is "just a phase" and something the camp goers are encouraged to shame others for "letting into their hearts". It's a visual novel style html game iirc, the prose is really interesting, super weird and informal but full of meaning once you get the full picture and I love how the pov in it shifts depending on the ending and the segments after 3AM just feel like very poignant poetry I wanna chew on it, and the choices you get to make is which one of the trio of protagonists gets together in the end! It's marketed sort of as a choose your own ship kind of thing, and it totally definitely doesn't have heart wrenching character exploration of how it feels to be the one left out in that sort of trio dynamic, totally not :)

It really is super short and accessible, found a really good playthrough of it too if you'd still like someone making voices for the characters, I think I got an ending in less than two hours and all the endings take around the same amount of time, and there are four endings total. I call it the poly lesbian body horror game because it has very light but still eery vibes and because of that I wanted to save it to play on Halloween but I'm gay and full of gay thoughts at the moment so ended up playing it again this week akshsk still at only 2/4 endings though so I'll keep reblog spamming sporadically lol

I don't know whether or not this is supposed to reference a real ghost or someone hiding in costume, but imagine how adorable it would be for constant socialite Johnny Storm to buy himself a huge home, big ol' brownstone and then realizes it's haunted!

For so long, he's out every night till the wee hours, then he comes home to this empty place.

So Johnny talks himself to sleep, sings really loudly in the shower, and just generally fills the silence--but it can't constantly be blaring music.

Neighbors, shared walls, and all that.

So it's late one night, not too long after moving in, that Johnny is drunk and joking with himself, but this time someone laughs back.

He panics.

Shoots a fireball off toward a room's corner and thankfully doesn't set the whole place alight!

so you show up but only as this kinda white shimmery blob because he's new and in your space

but he pushes

keeps up the talking

asks questions for hours until you finally answer again

and that's enough. For a while.

Johnny comes back home a little earlier, slowly, and he eats more meals there, too

Sue is really proud of him. She thinks he's growing up, and she has a suspicion that he's met a girl. He's just never seen with one.

Over a long time, you show up more corporeal, just so you can sit at the table with him, so he can look you in the eye while he tells you all about the amazing stuff the Fantastic Four do

eventually, he convinces you to let him tell Sue and Reed about you, and after quite a lot of research, a version of the technology to control Sue's power gives you tangibility again, even temporarily

(so yeah, there'd be smut in this too I guess. see, we got there in the end, lol)

Johnny likes that even when you have physical mass or whatever (because he can't understand Sue's explanation at all) he can't burn you

which is good since things get hot very easily

he still likes coming home at (mostly) a reasonable hour

it's not quiet there anymore and he never falls asleep alone

I kid you not I was on the phone with a friend today, talking about how we've both been going through a rough time recently, and we were both like "ugh i am tired pls someone just let me lie down and take care of me". As we're saying goodbye I literally tell her "I'm gonna go a read some fanfiction to fictionally give myself the comfort reality is currently not providing" and of course I came straight to your blog (I was gonna close my eyes and randomly click on one of the parts of Honeyed bc every installment is just perfection and it felt like it would be good to have some softness before rereading Halloween again - also I saw that you reblogged it and just want to say she is indeed a queen!!). BUT THEN!! Juniper was literally everything my friend and I were saying we wanted like... babe do you read minds?????

I loved every single sentence of it!!! The fact that Joel checked in and really would stop at a moments notice if asked, the fact that he can only believe in his goodness through the belief of his love, the praise for his arms and shoulders bc yeah... it's what they deserve!!! The softness and affection infused throughout!!!! The emphasis on how Joel wants to learn and know every part and piece of his lover, the fact that he's so loving and tender... the "There y'are" has me so soft!!! The way you set the scene and infuse character dynamics and personalities no matter the length or topic of the fic is so impressive to me, like it is hard to get some much character across even in a full-length novel (thinking about some books I've read where characters don't feel distinct or special at all) so it's a real testament to your skill that you do it every time!! You've made me all gooey inside with how great this was!! Again I am floored that literally the moment I looked at your blog you had the exact thing I wanted to read just... you've made my day, you absolute legend. Even more excited to reread Halloween again now. Might reread Juniper as a chaser too, actually...

The Chosen and the Champion (Switch gang tribute): Completed. A ton of Wild and Sky content because I saw Skyward Sword on Switch and went FUCK yes. This got off the rails very quickly. Just read all of them at this point, cuz I don't know what I'll bring back next. Chapter 20 and onwards is Exploring Sky's Hyrule.

Smoke & Ashes: Incomplete and in progress!! continues where C&C left off, with a huge fucking focus on Sky's adventure, specifically the end. However, unlike most fics, people are NOT very happy or forgiving with Sky. If you know, you know. VERY ANGST HEAVY. PLEASE READ ALL THE TAGS AND WARNINGS.

Like Mounds of Molten Gold: Incomplete and in progress!! Just a bunch of extra content for the C&C universe! Some are companion pieces to a specific chapter or section, while some are just random shit. There might be cut content every now and then.
