having witnessed this, i love how their dynamic as adults seems like a very natural progression from what they had as kids. if you just ignore, well, the whole you're my archnemesis and we need to fight each other because of a terrible incident in our past we have never honestly adressed or explained. but yeah, they're just so very sweet and caring, truly a black cat and golden retriver energy at its finest.

based on this i would also guess ambrosius is younger than ballister, with the way he looks and with this childlike innocence and naivety. that, or he's just always been smaller than bal. either way, it makes me think how ambrosius is an easy target for bullies and how ballister feels responsible for him and his safety/happiness. i wonder if looking at the perfect, golden imagine adult ambrosius has created, ballister ever saw the scrawny little boy with a black eye who hid behind his back.

the idea that they were raised together, grew up together, fallen in love at some point, spent their whole lives together, really, makes me go crazy. how both of them lost the only friend they ever had, a friend they were never allowed to fully love.

I really like the old concepts of the Director from Nimona where she’s an actual goblin and would sort of like to see that tbh.

Especially in a sequel where she’s in that form and is living in the woods or some campy crap and plotting vengeance, covered in scars from the explosion which she barely managed to survive and rendered in an almost primal state mentally. So basically she’s gone off the deep end, she’s gone crazy, and she just wants to see Nimona and Ballister dead.

I mean, no one can take it from you if they don’t know about it, right? Little chitters and squeaks came out of your shirt as it sat inside of it. You were hoping that neither Nimona or Ballister heard it. All you had to do was make it to your room and make a place for it. Easy right?

Well..that’s where you were wrong. “Hey! Bal was wondering what we wanted for dinner tonight. Any thoughts?” Nimona popped up, Either you could sit here and talk, risking losing the squirrel or you could just go to your room and have a squirrel. Second one.

“No ideas here!” You poured out and hurried yourself to your room. Close call.

Soon as your do shut behind you, the squirrel was out from under your shirt and making a ruckus of you room. “Hey, hey! I just cleaned!” The squirrel payed no mind to you. “Dude!” Your once clean room just was as dirty as before. You were scolding yourself for bringing a squirrel into the place when you heard two taps at your door.

“Ah! Hold on I’m getting dressed” the simplest excuse you could think of in this overwhelming situation that you put yourself in. You look around for the squirrel realizing you had to hide it somewhere. Your eyes darted around each inch of your room looking for the furry critter. It was gone.

You sighed and opened the door, hoping that the brownish creature didn’t want to make an appearance now. It was Nimona. “Hey, what’s going on with you? You’ve rushed yourself away from everyone today. Why is that?” Could you sit there and just lie to her? You could tell the truth but that would mean losing the squirrel you worked so hard for. You could also…

You were spacing out. “Hello..? Earth to Y/n.” Nimona waved her gains in front of your face. “Oh! I’m okay! Just busy, busy, busy, today! Y’know.” The pink haired girl rolled her eyes “okay mx. busy, what’s been keeping yo-“ a critter came from a area of your room.

“What was that?” You looked around confused hoping your little gig would fool her. “What was what? I didn’t hear anything?” Nimona was ready for anything to even breath “mhm..” she grumbled out as she shapeshifted into a cat.

It’s over for you.

Just as quickly as Nimona turned into a cat was as quickly as the squirrel was gone. Nimona had caught it. You got a lecture from the both about how you could’ve gotten rabies and how those things are disgusting.

You were sitting on your bed, looking at the mess your ex furry friend and left you when you heard the same two knocks that made you lose him. “Come in…” you let out an irritated groan. Nimona came in and sat next to you. “Hey, y’know you can just ask next time you want a wild animal in the house, I mean I’m here if you ever want a squirrel”

You let out a laugh. “Thanks…”

that die-in-the-closet-dialogue felt very strange to me but I still don't completely understand how people can hate people who have a different orientation than them (sexual or not, I don't know how to say that exactly but I hope you kinda understand me?). There shouldn't be a problem about dying in a closet in real life and I really understand why people are so close-minded and this is still happening, I guess. Why does this "kids movie" motivate me to think about this kind of issue so much? But I guess it's a good thing, I'm probably/definitely not the only one who watched Nimona and really started to think about this (and the other themes of this movie)

also Nimona literally coming out of the closet (as a shape-shifter) is like really nice, I love little things like that in movies that you maybe not even register at first

I feel like I'm the only person critical of Morrison's work sometimes and I only recently heard about the way they wrote and characterized Magneto... can't say I'm surprised, and I'm also not surprised to see that Morrison is yet another author at Marvel who had a field day engaging with Iceman's gay coding while ignoring his (canonical, explicitly went to Hebrew school) Jewishness. Idk I know your post was about Magneto and I don't want to derail but Bobby and Kitty have been done so dirty in recent years by Marvel writers going out of their way to erase their Jewishness, and in Bobby's case it seems like even a lot of the Jewish writers who work with him don't know he's Jewish because Marvel has buried that aspect of his character as thoroughly as they can even though it so heavily colors how DeMatteis wrote his gay coding. We would not have gay Bobby without Jewish Bobby.

This is long and mostly not related to your ask, but since you liked my tag ramble I thought I'd share my deeper thoughts on the matter.

Firstly, I think anarchists and MLs waste so much energy by fighting amongst ourselves rather than paying attention to the fact that we hold more beliefs in common than anything. I suspect there's a lot of disinfo from capitalist regimes to try to divide us; we know for a fact thanks to FOIA that the US government (CIA and FBI) has infiltrated both in the past, in order to keep us divided and bickering! Both the anarchist and ML camps have bad actors, many of which are being encouraged by imperialist plants, capitalist propaganda, and/or the unquenchable human instinct for groupthink, but there are a lot of genuinely good people doing genuinely good work in both camps too, and it makes me sad that we don't work together more often.

One of the reasons I consider myself an anarcho-communist, rather than a Marxist-Leninist or pure Marxist of any stripe, is because of an insight I got from Marx himself! Among their many reading sources, anarchists should read Marx too! But Marx also got bogged down in the idea that revolution had to be a process achieved through violent overthrow of the capitalist state, and replacing it with a new state, rather than eroding the capitalist state at the foundations until it washed away as he'd originally envisioned in his Manifesto / Das Kapital era. He also lost sight of the fact that alienation of labor, as he originally envisioned it, is not merely about alienation from the profits of labor, but alienation from the purpose of labor: working on something because someone in charge tells you to work on it is inherently dehumanizing, no matter how the profits are distributed. We need a personal connection to our labor, to personally see the ways in which our labor benefits our community! Even under Lenin and Mao, the USSR and PRC were alienating laborers from their own labor by assigning jobs to them instead of letting them pick and choose among the jobs that needed to be done.

And the very concept that some people deserve to rule over others, to lord over them with "superior information" and tell them what to do, is inherently kyriarchal and eugenics-adjacent, making it very easy to slide into red-brown fascism and to perpetuate sexist/racist/queermisic/ableist beliefs. Everybody gets it wrong sometimes! Marx, Lenin, Mao, Trotsky, but anarchist writers too! The more power you concentrate into fewer hands, the worse the consequences when we inevitably make mistakes, and then we have the instinctual human response to not want to admit that we fucked up and to pretend that the mistake never happened, and the bigger the scope of the harm the stronger that instinct is when it kicks in.

(It's also weird the sheer number of MLs who stan Putin's capitalist kleptocracy in 2023, as if communism and capitalism themselves were always just strategies in a global football game between empires over whether the East or the West deserved total power over everyone else in the world. I can honestly understand China stans more than Russia stans, because China is at least nominally still communist, even if it abandoned Maoism ages ago. But MLs really should be pointing more at Cuba or Vietnam than at any imperial power if they want to convince us that statist communism can actually work for the people.)

I am 21 years old and am diagnosed with autism and ADHD as well as anxiety and off and on depression due to all the other stuff. If you’re ableist or say I’m faking my autism/ADHD, I will block you! That’s not cool.

I like a lot of different music rock and indie (Radiohead, Björk, Coldplay, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fiona Apple, etc) and I might post stuff here but this is mainly for other fandoms. I am a K-pop stan (mainly girl groups) and I sometimes post them. My main groups are BLACKPINK, Dreamcatcher, (G)-IDLE, Aespa, and IVE. I’m also obsessed with Taemin. I’m not against RPF on principal (as long as it doesn’t involve minors) and I’ve written some K-pop fics before. I don’t write smut because of me being ace. If I do crosspost or promote my AO3 here a lot of my fics are sad. But I mainly post fanfic of fictional stuff. I also don’t like people who are obsessive weird stans with K-pop, pop singers, rappers, it doesn’t matter who it is. Basically any celebrity if you stalk them or think you can marry them that’s weird! Fanfiction is FICTION and they are real people with lives. I see this stuff a lot in the K-pop community so I just wanted to put that as a disclaimer here I in no way support that behavior.

Im I’m a lot of fandoms but my main ones are Genshin, ATLA, Sonic, Mega Man, Legend of Zelda, Mario, Daria, MCU (mainly GOTG these days) Disney/Pixar, Spiderverse + animation in general. I used to be into Star Wars and Hunger Games but I’m more casual with it now. Im bad at watching shows because of my ADHD and need to finish stranger things and umbrella academy someday and then I’ll post them haha. I have a lot of dead fandoms from not finishing stuff. Also I used to be into Harry Potter but I’ve cut all ties with that because of JKR. I won’t hate you if you like HP stuff especially fan content but if you support JKR I’m gonna block you.

I don’t kin characters hardcore but there are definitely some that have more than one relatable aspect to me or I just love posting stuff about: Zuko, Katara, Blues, Zero, Mirabel, Shadow, Nimona, Rocket, Nebula, Vanellope, Gwen, Diluc, Scara—those are just some of my favorites and I’ll post a lot of spam about them lol. If you hate on me or others for having headcanons unless it’s like really really screwed up then don’t come on my page! I’m cool w all ships aside from p3d0 stuff (I personally don’t read 1ncest but it it’s fiction idrc. I will mention I’m in the Archie Sonic fandom to an extent and I ship Knuxulie who are distant cousins, but I don’t count is as 1ncest because everyone is technically related, it’s pretty distant, and Ken Penders is weird. It’s stuff like siblings, parent/child, first cousins, etc. that icks me out. I also don’t ship adopted siblings like Thor and Loki because that’s still incest so stop. robot masters are a gray area because there are so many Wilybots, there is a brief mention of Snake/Shadow in the fic, but all the main sibling ones I don’t ship together.) and people who say shit like “all reylos are toxic” don’t fly with me. I use this as an example because it’s what my ex used to do. Also taking things way too seriously about fiction like saying SU is the worst thing ever (I also want to mention my ex agreed with Lily Orchard and when I pointed out the rightful criticism she got for her lack of research, he said people only hate her because she is trans. He is a cis guy.) I also want to be clear that cishet guys who hate Korra as a character are on thin ice. I have weirdly specific boundaries because of my ex bf.

I hate people who gatekeep stuff in fandoms too unless you’re gatekeeping it from racist people or something. I also hate people who say “you’re not a real fan if you like/dislike a thing the fandom dislikes/likes”, people who harass writers or actors because they don’t like a show like be fr. So if I see that stuff on my page you’ll be blocked. Also saying stuff is non canon just because you don’t like it. The two biggest examples are the Star Wars sequel trilogy and BOTW/TOTK. People who say anyone who likes the sequel trilogy is a fake fan, and people who say that TOTK isn’t a real Zelda game just because they don’t like it. It’s annoying.

I actually don't think fanfic is a real literary genre-- it's real literature but not a genre because it still has its own genre (romance, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, etc) but it was marked like a free space so I checked it lol

I try to make everything canon-compliant unless specifically writing an AU and I still want everything consistent so yes research

I do anxiously await feedback pls

I've made my own (re: my last post) but haven't received any yet (but I've been told by someone that they were working on someone and I just-- am crie thank you..)

I have dozens of WIPs that I don't plan to publish in my Google drive but I don't punish a long form story unless it's been completed.

I have LOTS of ideas at night (including but not limited to: the stan account headcanon, the "Nimona is Pink Guy" post-- which by the way is the magnum opus of this account-- among others )
