KAORU HAKAZE – Accidentally making you jealous

Situated in the middle of the Ensemble Square lobby, you took a seat on one of the vacant couches. You were waiting for your boyfriend to walk you home like he usually does, but he was oddly late today. Normally, he would be the one waiting for you in the lobby, so you assumed that he just had more work to do. You didn't mind waiting for him. After all, he is an idol and he was bound to be quite busy rehearsing with the rest of UNDEAD or doing some other solo work.

However, it had already been 15 minutes and he still hadn't shown up. You were getting agitated especially because he hadn't replied to your messages asking him where he was. And the worst part? He has seen those messages too!

Today had been a draining day working at Cos Pro and all you wanted was to be with Kaoru, to be held and comforted by him. So why wasn't he here? Why wasn't he replying to your messages? ...Did he forget? No, Kaoru would never!

You decided to wait for him for another five minutes. If he didn't arrive by five minutes, you were just going to go home by yourself even if Kaoru has told you multiple times not to walk home by yourself at night.

Oh, if only he would pick your calls up too... which he didn't.

Kaoru never showed up within those five minutes you spared him. You sighed but attempted not to show your frustration. You walked out of the building and was greeted by an indigo night sky scattered with stars. It would've been nice to watch these skies with your boyfriend... if he were here with you.

You continued to make your way to the bus stop but came to an immediate stop. A few metres away stood Anzu, a fellow producer at Ensemble Square, accompanied by someone you knew fairly well - Kaoru.

"Oh, I get it," you muttered to yourself, annoyance spewing out of your system. "So that's why he never showed up."

Before the two of you started dating, people titled Kaoru a 'lady's boy' as he was constantly surrounded by girls and would do anything for their attention. But you've acknowledged that those days of his were over, it's the fact that before your relationship, he had this obvious crush on Anzu.

Is he still hung up over that? Is that why he's with her and not you? His actual girlfriend?

Were you just his second option?

You didn't know what to do at that moment. You wanted to cause a ruckus, to yell at your boyfriend, but your insecurities kept telling you that if you did, it would make him like her even more.

So you just stood there pathetically, watching them speak to each other with sweet smiles on their faces. At that moment, Kaoru turned around and his eyes fell on you instantly.

"(Y/N)-"

"I've waited so long for you, Kaoru. I texted you multiple times asking where you were, but here you are," you began. "You're so annoying. You should've just told me you didn't like me anymore..."

"W-Wait, what?" he questioned before realising the situation from your perspective. "(Y/N), did you not get my message?"

"You didn't send me a message at all."

Kaoru checked his phone and you were right, there were no messages delivered to you, but what you didn't know was that he did send you a message, it just didn't send due to an error. He explained that he was going to get you, but he did get caught up in a lot of work which Anzu was a part of. So when that was finished, he decided to walk her to the bus stop before retrieving you. After all, he stood by his words - girls shouldn't walk themselves alone at night.

After the two of you bid farewell to Anzu whose bus arrived, Kaoru continued.

"I'm so sorry, (Y/N). I had my phone on silent too so I didn't know you called. I was the one who should've called," said Kaoru with such sorrow in his voice. "I'm sorry. I can't imagine how you felt when you saw me here with Producer instead of you."

Kaoru has always been correct with your emotions and reactions, and he was spot on with this one too. Perhaps it's because he knows female emotions more than the average male as he was always with them during high school.

It was silent for a moment. Kaoru was getting increasingly nervous at how quiet you were being. He tried reaching for you, but you'd take a step back each time he did.

"Do you still like her?" you asked.

"What...? Of course not," he said. "The only girl I love is you, (Y/N). The only girl I will ever long for is you. The Producer is just a friend to me now, nothing more. You're all I ever want, all I ever see. I'm sorry that this situation has made you lose your trust in me. I will do better to show you that you mean the world to me."

Kaoru always had a way with words. He seemed remorseful too, for leaving you in the lobby. Well, you supposed he didn't do it out of malice, and his words were sincere.

You took a step closer to him. "You're sure that I'm not your second option?"

He wrapped his arms around you and you let him. "You were never an option to begin with. I just knew you were the one."

After all, when he saw you were there at the bus stop with him, his eyes instantly lit up just like the stars in the sky. You may not have noticed this, but everyone around you did. Kaoru only had eyes for you and you only.

"To make it up to you, I'll sleep over at yours tonight, okay?" he suggested in which cheered you up quickly. The two of you held hands throughout the rest of the journey back to your place, happy in each others' presence.

RINNE AMAGI – Purposefully making you jealous

You hummed to yourself happily, carrying a packed lunch between your fingers. You decided to surprise your boyfriend with a homemade lunch box since he usually buys himself lunch at the cafeteria, and it would be nice if he had a home-cooked meal from time to time.

You waited for him at the cafeteria with a smile on your face as you tapped on the lunch box excitedly. You couldn't wait to see his face when you surprise him with lunch. Imagining how he'll thank you by patting your head made you feel giddy.

When Rinne finally appeared, you stood up from your seat to call him over, waving your hands to get his attention. There wasn't too many people at the cafeteria, so he should be able to spot you without any difficulty.

His eyes lit up and his lips curled into a smile. "Ah," he said as he headed towards you.

As you opened your arms, expecting him to engulf you into a hug, he completely ignored you and passed by you without second thought.

“There you are, onee-san!” he greeted.

You turned around, confused by his behaviour. Your arms drop to your sides as you find him beginning to spread his arms wide for Anzu, the producer who was currently eating her lunch at one of the tables behind you.

You stand in your spot, completely speechless. Your hands began to tingle as your eyes threatened to spill tears.

"Oh..." you muttered.

You quickly walked away from your table, leaving the lunch box behind. Thoughts about your relationship with Rinne spun in your head. It wasn't as if he didn't see you. He purposefully ignored you and went straight to Anzu. But what about you, his girlfriend? What was he trying to imply by doing that? Is he already throwing you away for his producer?

"(Y/N)!"

A hand grabbed your wrist, forcing you to stop in your tracks. Rinne turned you around to face him.

"I was kidding!" he blurted out. "Sorry, sorry. I thought it would be funny!"

You stayed silent, your eyes focused on the ground. He didn't sound too sincere. Your hands clutched themselves into fists as your nails dug deep into your palms. Rinne was aware of this. He took your hands in his to slowly unfold them from their current position.

"(Y/N)~" he sang. "Come on, look at me..."

He held your chin up so he could look you in the eyes, but is surprised when he found out that those eyes of yours were coated in tears. Immediately, he brought you to his embrace, stroking your back apologetically.

"I'm sorry," he murmured. "(Y/N), I'm sorry."

The sincerity in his voice was apparent now.

You gripped onto his shirt angrily. "You're not funny..." you hissed. "That wasn't funny."

"You're right. It wasn't. What could I do to make it up to you, huh?" he said softly. He let you go so he could cup your face to plant a kiss on your lips. You avoided his affection by not returning the kiss. "You looked so happy when you saw me too... Argh, I feel really bad now."

"You should..." you mumbled, returning back to your table to show him the lunch box you made for him. "I even cooked you something for lunch too and this is what you pull?"

Rinne is able to read the room well, but he just couldn't help it. A laugh erupted from inside him. You were just too cute!

"Kyahaha, you cooked me lunch?!" he exclaimed excitedly. "Aww, that's so cute. My girlfriend's the best!"

He hugged you from the side in order to kiss you on the temple. A small smile appeared on your face, but you tried looking away so he wouldn't be able to see it. Rinne saw it alright.

"(Y/N), I love you," he said in his most serious tone. "I'm sorry for what I pulled on you, but let's enjoy this lunch together, okay? I'm hungry for what you cooked me!"

You rolled your eyes, but mimicked the grin on his face. Despite Rinne's childish antics, you appreciated how quickly he is able to make you smile again. The two of you eat lunch together, laughing at each other's jokes and stories.

Synopsis: When the fallen angel cries for help, you take up the responsibility of nursing his broken wings back to health.

Loving Kaoru Hakaze felt like an angel’s feather, white as snow, drifting from the heavens, and landing on a crystal clear lake, and as the water rippled, a tune of adoration echoes through the sky. Unlike the old him, the new him was serious when it come to you. He was still a tease, yet he couldn’t help but let you in his vulnerable side. He calls himself greedy for it, but he’d like you to love every side of him. The side of him that laughs and smiles. The charmer side of him, that makes all his fans scream with a single wink. The side of him that manages idol work seriously, because he treasures it.

The side of him that’s bandaging his own broken wings, tears streaming down his face, because he has no one to go to.

He thinks he’s selfish, but when you ask him what’s wrong, brushing his hair as you sit side by side on your bed, he tells you all about it nonetheless. His vulnerability, his thoughts that no one has heard of before, and his insecurities. He knew he would be lying if he kept it away from you, and to lie to his lover was unforgivable - a lesson he learnt through all the years of running away and, well, messing around. How hurtful lies would turn out to be was something he knew all along, and to worry the one he loves with his own heart was not an act he wanted to conduct.

It would be a moment between you two. As tired gazes are exchanged, you find your own hand putting down the hair brush and soothing Kaoru's back instead. He would tell you stories, about a boy, a fallen angel actually, who had lost his mother and slowly got consumed by the angry waves, blinded by how somethings would never change, instead of standing up and going forward. You wanted him to feel loved, and you know he's trying his best - he wants to let go off his past and make his broken wings recover, he wants to be better for you.

'But did you know?' Kaoru suddenly turned to you, his face sincere and honest, 'That boy was saved. He met his soulmate, his other half, his angel. He understood true love. Instead of running in laps, he finally had a home to go to,’ His lips slowly curled into a smile, a truthful one, ‘And that boy, once naive and young, now all grown up, wants to ask for a kiss from his angel,’ The blonde’s sweet smile turned into a smirk, his fingers tapping on his cheek, ‘Here, perhaps?’

‘You’re insufferable,’ You blushed upon his invitation, but still he too felt his cheeks heating up, as he felt a pair of soft lips leaving a soft and sweet kiss on his cheek.

As teasing as Kaoru is, he deserves to be loved. True love was a phrase he longed to understand, but he was glad you were the one who vouched to be by his side. He’s more than happy, actually, that you are the one whose harassing his hand during lonely nights and sharing coffee at 7 in the morning.

He is going to ask something from you once more - to be the person bandaging up his broken wings, and planting kisses on every one of his feathers, so when they’re strong again, he can be a new person, a person who you can fully rely on.

This post is super long so I apologize for the extensive paragraphs LMAO also I just started my senior year so I might be more busy in school, but I’ll try to post and update as much as I can, thank you all for your follows, likes and the many support you’ve given me, it means a lot!! The sea calls out for him. It was a weird feeling, walking towards the sea during such a late hour. His friends adviced Kaoru to not even dare go so late out, he didn't listen nor believed in what his friends said about mermaids. Kaoru thought it was something out of a fairy tail, that wasn't real and that his friends were pranking him about the matter. It wasn't until he went that day, that he realized his friends were more than right.

But it was too late, Kaoru felt mesmerized by the ocean, noticing a faint glow peaking out from the dephs of the sea. He suddenly saw what he thought was a tail, from a mermaid? His body pulling itself towards the current, eyes locked on the now strong glow. Kaoru locked eyes with the person (?) in front of him, the thing is, it wasn't a human, but a mermaid who's eyes reflected the ocean.

"ah so you're a human?" the mermaid asked as kaoru smiled, feeling his body sit on the ocean floor, the mermaid's hands on his cheeks as she suddendly gasped

"oh right! you can't breathe.." she spoke, taking the new man she had met to the shore as he coughed up water, looking around as he saw the tail from earlier and turning towards her. In a moment of shock, Kaoru got aback, looking at her as she laughed, returning to the ocean as Kaoru stared in shock, leaving the beach and silently promising himself to come back some other day.

Undead had a photoshoot a few days after the encounter Kaoru had in the same beach as before. He wondered around, looking to see if the mysterious mermaid would appear before him once more. The photoshoot ended within a few hours, Kaoru had stayed back, waiting for the right moment as he saw her again. She laid in the sand, smiling at Kaoru who was admiring her beautiful features.

"i believe i have yet to know your name" the mermaid spoke, her tail shimmering under the afternoon sun as he sat beside her, looking at the sea as he replied

"Kaoru. Kaoru Hakaze, what's yours?" He asked, short and simple but it made her smile. It has been a long time since she's ever had an interaction with a human once more.

"Y/n, I'm sorry for nearly drowning you yesterday, I didn't think you would be that curious to follow me into the depths of the ocean" She replied, joining Kaoru who was still admiring the ocean view, Y/n suddenly joined the waves, noticing that Kaoru had stood up briefly to watch as she swam happily, coming back to shore and waiting for Kaoru to bring up the conversation again.

"Well..I just felt like I had to do it. Something was telling me to follow you, weird isn't it?" Kaoru joined her in the seashore, staring at her e/c orbs, she was just so pretty, almost like a siren in disguise, waiting for the right moment to drown him in the ocean to her heart's content. But it wasn't that way, she was just as in awe as him. His light brown eyes complementing his dark blonde mullet styled hair that flowed with the wind.

"no I get that, how long are you staying at the resort?" y/n inquired, sitting in the seashore, feeling the waves pull at her body as Kaoru did the same, he smiled shorty before replying to her.

"about a month or so? I haven't spoken to my managers about that" He sheepishly spoke, scratching the back of his neck slightly as she pondered, then speaking

"your..manager? Do you sing? I've seen many idols come by sometimes and seen their performances from up close..when i have the chance every few moons or so" He frowned, not understanding the words that she had just spoken, y/n smiled before explaining what she meant by that

"I can turn into a human, it happens during some change the sun and moon form together, I cannot control it and which is why..I have a small house from here, it truly is my second home" Y/n spoke, truthfully, noticing Kaoru had been attently listening to her. It seemed what she spoke of, was happening right in front of him.

"Is it such a coincidence how you changed after you said that?" He asked, looking at her and the new form she adquired after leaving the ocean, her tail had 'magically' changed into legs like his. Y/n still had a rough time getting herself used to her new form, nearly tripping as she felt Kaoru's hands holding her to prevent that from happening again.

"apperantly it is, my father had warned that it could happen again and this time it may be permanent" Kaoru's face expressed worry for her, they began walking together in the beach, their footprints dissapearing once the waves met the sandy shore as they talked about their lives, and how different both of them were, but of course, the sea and land are two completely different worlds.

"So your father is a legend in your hometown?" Y/n nodded, she crouched down to look at the sea shells and pretty rocks as Kaoru picked some up, offering them to her as she smiled.

"Somewhat, I just had the bad luck of getting this curse that I can't even control, there's a sea witch that offered me help but I can't give her what she's asking for in exchange"

"What could she probably ask in exchange?" Kaoru questioned, sitting on a nearby bench that was a bit far from the beach itself and in the park that was right beside it. He offered her a seat beside him, noticing how she fidgeted with her hands, looking a bit nervous as she answered him.

"My soul. Strange, isn't it? It would be useless to give up something as precious and life giving as that to be able to control what I can't in the first place." His eyes slightly widened at the reveal, Kaoru wasn't expecting that, he didn't know if to comfort her or just straight up do nothing.

"That..really is something, I'm sorry"

"Don't be, it's not your fault, I don't need any pity as well. Its just, things that happen you know?" Kaoru disagreed, expressing his thoughts later on.

"But those things aren't common, anywhere! I know we come from different areas, but you shouldn't have to do something so extreme like that" She wasn't expecting that, looking at Kaoru who was already glancing at her, eyes with a faint sparkle that she noticed, he wondered if it was really destiny that brought them together

"I know, maybe its a good thing we met then. When's your next concert?" She asked as Kaoru accompanied Y/n to the small beach house around the corner, it was beautifully decorated on the outside, the inside had little to not much furniture, it seemed the amount of times she would visit here weren't so frequent as he thought it would be.

"Nice house, I'm asuming you rarely come by right?" Kaoru asked, she slightly smiled and laughed as he did the same.

"Yeah, my apologies for not being able to offer you anything at the moment, I wasn't expecting this to happen so soon." He digressed, sitting on one of the stools from the kitchen, soon answering Y/n

"Its in about a week from here, why? You're planning on going?" She smiled, nodding as they later on, stood out on the front porch.

"Its getting late, your friends might get worried, I'll go see you in a week, I promise" With those final words, Kaoru bid her a goodnight and left towards the nearby resort, thinking about tonight’s events as he soon fell into a deep slumber.

The week went by so fast, Kaoru couldn't believe it as he stood in front of the big mirror in his dressing room. Looking at the clock and silently wishing Y/n would keep her promise of being there to see him perform. As Undead began their performance, Kaoru spotted Y/n in a (f/c) summer dress as she waved at him softly. During the entire concert, he couldn’t help but stare at her, smiling every once in a while in her direction as she reciprocated her own. After it had ended, Kaoru requested for her presence in his dressing room.

“You called?” She asked, closing the door behind her as Kaoru smiled, noticing that she was cold from the air conditioning in the room, he quickly grabbed one of his favorite coats, placing it on her arms as she thanked him

“Well yeah, I wanted to know if you liked the concert” Kaoru replied, allowing her to sit on his couch as she smiled, noticing how Kaoru looked..different from all those days ago, his aura was radient, it almost seemed as if he felt at peace with her, and she felt at home with him.

“Of course I did, I didn’t pin you to be the flirting type” Y/n laughed, seeing how Kaoru suddenly leaned closer towards her, slowly making her back hit the couch while Kaoru chuckled, caressing her face as she laid there for a moment, realizing the compromising position

“Why? Are you into flirty guys?” She pushed him back, feeling a bit embarrassed as he smiled, softly ruffling her hair while Kaoru stood up, Y/n following as they walked outside towards the beach like usual

“I guess it’s things I rarely see in my hometown, there’s no one I’m really interested in. They’re all after the same thing, to become the next heir to a great fortune my ancestors left behind” His eyes widen slightly, pouting a bit as he enjoyed the night breeze at the beach alongside who he knew was his soulmate, two souls destined to meet each other and spend the rest of their lives together. His hand intertwined with hers, kissing the top of hers as she smiled, listening to his words with awe

“I know we barely met about two weeks ago, but I can promise you, those guys are jerks, they don’t deserve anything that you have” Kaoru’s words touched her heart, which was beating at about a hundred miles, she had never felt this way before, perhaps this curse..wasn’t that terrible at all

“You’re right, they were, and still are. Tell me Kaoru, do you believe in true love, or are you just flirting with any woman you come across?” The question snapped him out of the daydream he had while gazing at the moon that reflected on the ocean. Kaoru turned towards Y/n, smiling as he moved a bit closer to her, not letting go of her hand as he answered her question

“I’ve flirted with many girls-“ he paused, taking in Y/n’s face for a moment and continuing “-but I do believe in true love, I think I found the one” He smiled, glancing at her again, his grip on her hand tightened.

“Really? I think so too” They smiled and looked away as teenagers feel when they’re in love with each other. She quickly dragged Kaoru towards a nearby cave that revealed a beautiful waterfall at the very end of it

“It’s..absolutely breathtaking Y/n, how did you find this place?” He looked around in awe as she let go of his hand, walking towards the waterfall as she sat down in one of the rocks inside the big pond that accompanied it.

“When I turned into a human for the first time, I came across it, and just knew I had to bring whom I think would be my true love” He felt his heart burst, sitting beside her, not believing the words that she had just spoken

“..me? You really think so?” Y/n nodded, leaning closer towards Kaoru as he held her hands, now stumbling together in the pond, getting their clothes wet as they laughed, hugging each other for a while

After a while, Kaoru took her back to her small beach house, standing in the doorway. It was a bit of an awkward moment even though they technically confessed to one another.

“Have you ever kissed someone Kaoru?” Y/n wondered, observing how he stood closer, his eyes scanning her face before pulling Y/n into his embrace

“I..haven’t. Why? Do you want to kiss?” She averted her gaze to the floor, he smiled, placing his hand on her chin, making her look up as he leaned forward, close enough for her to hold her breath

“Yeah, I guess you could say that” And with that, their lips met, his hands on her waist softly as they kissed under the moonlight. As they parted away, she couldn’t believe he would just kiss her like that at her request

“Just so you know, I wouldn’t kiss anyone else even if they asked, I want to be yours Y/n, even if you eventually turn back into your normal state, I’ll keep loving you” She smiled, tear-eyed as he kissed her forehead lovingly. Her hands holding him tightly, not wanting to let go.

“I think I’m in love with you Kaoru” Y/n confessed, feeling as Kaoru kissed her again, this time she was pinned against her front door, his hands remained on her waist, parting away while panting heavily.

“Me too, I can’t live without you. It’s like I’ve known you for a long time” Her eyes widen a bit, noticing the necklace he wore as she touched it.

“Wait, Kaoru have we met before? This necklace..you were the guy I met three years ago! I gave you this necklace, it has my hometown’s most precious gem.” His brain clicked the pieces together, that one summer where he went on vacation with his family and met a girl his age, making necklaces on the shore as he sat beside her…it was Y/n this entire time

“I’ve always knew I’d find you some day, I haven’t forgotten about it ever since I began wearing the necklace” She hugged him, sobbing in his arms, not believing that destiny was real and how it favored them so.

Years later, they got engaged, getting married at the same beach they met for the first time, Y/n’s family heard of the news, and now that her life finally found a balance, the curse was no more. She could easily change between human and mermaid form, her family already knowing how to do so and being able to assist their wedding. It was the best day ever for them. Wearing beautiful outfits and crying during their vows, their love was unmatched for any circumstance that occurred in their lifes, and now as Husband and Wife, Kaoru was more than happy to settle down together, taking a small hiatus from his group to tend to his loving wife.

“I don’t regret ever marrying you my love, you’re the best thing that has ever happened to me” He smiled, kissing Y/n dearly as they laid in their new bed, taking in how exhausting yet fun the wedding was.

“Me neither, I’m glad its you, even my family approves of you, trust me when they said they are visiting frequently from now on” They laughed, now sitting up and looking from their bedroom window the sunset and the ocean. Two different worlds, colliding to achieve peace between them. In perfect harmony, holding hands as they felt their connection towards one another stronger, this was the beginning of something truly beautiful.

Kaoru has never been serious about anyone the way he's serious about you. I have an unposted fic somewhere about him realising he wants to marry you that I really should post at some point, but it's my belief that until he meets you, Kaoru had never been interested in the whole marriage, house, 2 and a half kids thing. Maybe he's still... iffy on the kids thing, if you want them he'd be willing to, but he's not gonna be the one to bring it up. But damn, even at 19 he looks at you and sees his future. He's not sure what his exact goals are for your relationship, but he knows that when he's 83 and he can barely walk anymore, he wants his rocking chair to be right next to yours.

😱. What makes them worry about their s/o the most?

He doesn't like it when you fly. He can't protect you from a plane crash, he can't do anything to lessen the odds, or to save you if it happens. He can't do anything but sit and wait. If you ever have to fly anywhere, he has all the information about your flight memorised, and he's noticeably fidgety until you call him to say you've landed safe. If there was news of any plane crash while you were on a plane, he'd probably lose his cool before he got the chance to check if it was even your place.

Badly, to put it simply. At first, he doesn't want to admit it's true. If he doesn't watch you die, he thinks he's being pranked. He'll slam whoever tells him against the nearest wall and tell them through gritted teeth to take it back. When they don't, he let's them go as he feels the world start to spin. You can't... there's no way. You said you'd never leave him. You were supposed to grow old with him. How could you be dead? He announces his hiatus from idol work that night, and nobody sees him for months after. Rei tries to visit him, but as far as he can tell, Kaoru isnt even home anymore. When he eventually comes back, he's different. Distant. Whether he ever goes back to being an idol, or ever really gets over losing you? Well, those are questions for the future. Right now, he barely even talks.

"Hakaze Kaoru," you called out to him. It was rare that anyone would use Kaoru's full name- especially for you. It was simply unnecessary, long, and most importantly, cold-blooded. Your relationship with Kaoru was never cold, and it was never meant to be cold. Everyone, including yourselves, treated this as a fact.

When his full name was used, it only meant one thing: serious news- usually something bad. There were either two tones when you used his full name: impersonal or angry. This time, it wasn't the latter. If you were angry, Kaoru was confident that you could work it out- but when you were as cold as you just were, the future became uncertain.

"Yes? What happened, my dearest Y/N?" Kaoru hugged you from behind. His warmth was soft, meaningful- something that one found in a soulmate. It felt as if it was the last time you had the right to enjoy such a thing, bringing his arm up and your head down to bury yourself in it. You could almost see his worried expression, even if your eyes were closed.

"Today. I found out my soulmate-" You didn't need to tell him any more. You both understood what it meant- that you were never meant to be with him, even if everyone, including yourselves, thought that you and Hakaze Kaoru were meant to be. Fate simply decided on another path, one that seemed to easily break your heart.

It was a normal day in yumenosakigakuen highschool , you were simply walking to the place you and Kaoru hang out at with a bento in hand. As you reached your destination your eyes couldn't believe it as your boyfriend the one you love so much is so close your best friend Anzu. How horrible must it be so watch your boyfriend corner your best friend like does to you. As you witnessed this scene you coughed up petals with blood in your hand not grabbing the attention of them you simply looked at your hand in horror as you ran away to the bathroom.

As days went by you avoided Kaoru as much as you could for he made it all worse with that smile of his. You didn't seem to understand the meaning of this illness. Was it deadly? Was it harmless? You questioned in your head as your classmates saw how your situation got worse and worse day by day making all of them worried sick , especially Anzu. Kaoru didn't seem to understand why you avoided him or why your body became even more pale as the days went on. Did he do something wrong? It then hit him about the dare he was given by his classmates.

The next day he tried to have some alone time with you so that he could explain everything to you but to his avail this time you weren't at school , so he went to your house after school worried you were sick but to his horror you were on the floor coughing up flower petals with a massive amount of blood on the floor , skin pale as ever , you noticed Kaoru looking at you with a worried face but it only made your situation worse , the more you remembered that scenario , the more it got worse soon enough you blacked out with Kaoru rushing you to the hospital. "Doctor please please help her!! I can't lose her..!" Kaoru pleaded as the only thing the doctor could do was sigh and feel pity. "Sir can't you understand? Your girlfriend here has the Hanahaki disease which is quite rare and there's a 50% chance she might die before she even gets a chance to speak. Who knows how long she has gotten this? But the only thing i can say is you have to do something before the flowers have grown too large in the lungs." The doctor said as Kaoru looked at room you were in he regretted everything he has done for you to get this. He mutters a small sorry but he knows you won't hear it and then turns back to the doctor asking how to get you better , he would sacrifice anything for you because after all these years you've spent with him is enough to tell him that you're the one for him.

"Perhaps by a true love kiss those always help no?" The nurse by the doctor's side told as the doctor sighed. "But it'll be of no use if the girl does not feel the same. And it's either that or a surgery but be careful because it has consequences sir." The doctor warned as Kaoru thought about it. 'does she even love me back after everything I've done..?'. Can I atleast visit her first?" He asked as the doctor nodded leading him to the room before wishing Kaoru goodluck. As Kaoru saw your horrible condition he could only feel a large disappointment weighing on his shoulder as he couldn't help but blame himself for everything he has done to you.

"(_) I'm sorry for everything I've done i promise i really do love you alot!" He weeped as you just gave him a weak smile before saying your "last words" to him as he cried even more "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME (_) I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.... please you're the only one who's stayed with me hick. You're the one for me I love you please..." He mustered with all the emotions he felt right now as the machine started beeping as you had a hard time breathing.The doctors came in before anything else happened as Kaoru got out of the room. After a couple of minutes the doctor before came out and said "I'm sorry sir but we couldn't save her." They said as Kaoru got down in his knees in pain and regret.

It seems the flower of your life has wilted a bit too fast for him now all you can do is watch him in pain and mere suffering as his consequence. Petals from beautiful flowers came down as coughed it up with blood. This was his punishment.
