BUG WRITES CUSTOMIZED FICS !
hi there! feel like getting a personalized love story with your favorite character written by your favorite broke college student, (*cough cough*) me? then you're in the right place!
--- i've been thinking about doing this for a while now, and since i'm nearing graduation (*repulsive garbage disposal cough*), i figured there's no time like the present!
with that being said, i am now writing private personalized fics for stranger things, marvel, ted lasso, and star wars for those who send in donations! i've tried to answer as many questions about this whole debacle as i can below!
here is my tip jar, and here is the link to the google form.
✶   MORE DETAILS BELOW THE CUT!    ✶
q: well, how does this whole thing even work? a: i've created a fillable form here that goes through everything i'll need to write for you (plot/character description, payment, etc.). i should note here that i only accept donations through venmo and ko-fi, since that's what works best for me at the moment! please do not send your request as an ask, because it will get lost!
q: what exactly do you mean by private fics? a: instead of posting the personalized fic directly onto my tumblr, i will ship it right to you in the form of a google doc! since it is private, i only ask that you do not repost it on any other site (tumblr, ao3, etc.) this little love story is for your eyes and your eyes only!
q: who are you gonna write for then? a: my speciality as of right now is eddie munson and steve harrington. however, i'm expanding my horizons specifically for those who donate! with that being said, i will write for any stranger things character, as well as marvel, ted lasso, and star wars character (as long as said character is of age, of course!)
q: .......what about smut? a: yes, i will be writing smut! it will cost extra ($2 USD) because it's a little harder to write and takes a bit longer do, so please keep that in mind! (also, please note that i won't write for noncon, watersports, or violence-related scenarios. but other than that, feel free to go wild!)
q: what's it gonna cost me though? a: the cost varies depending on word count, as you'll see in the form. the pricing is as follows: ⋆ ~100 words – $1 ⋆ 200-999 words – $3 ⋆ 1,000-1,999 words – $5 ⋆ 2,000-4,999 words – $10 ⋆ 5,000+ words – $20
q: and how do the donations work exactly? a: as stated previously, i accept donations through venmo and ko-fi. you can check the pricing above, donate your preferred amount, and then fill out the form accordingly. so for example, if you donate $5, that will be a 1k word fic -- but remember, if you want a 1k word fic with smut, that will be an extra $2, so $7 in total). the payment is upfront, so if that makes you uncomfortable, shoot me an ask and we can work something out! if i have trouble writing your request or the writing time is longer than expected, refunds will be issued! also, if i happen to go over the word count you selected, you will not be charged extra.
q: and how will i receive my personalized love story? a: your fic will be sent to your messages as a google doc link. after your payment, i will send you the initial draft of your request in 1-10 days (depending on the length of your fic). after receiving your modifications (if any), i'll send you the final draft (again, to your tumblr messages, as a google doc link).
q: is there a limit to how many donations i can send in? a: no! feel free to send in as many as requests as you fancy! just remember to donate for each form you submit!
  ✶ WHO I'LL WRITE FOR !
--- keep in mind this is not a definitive list, just the characters i feel most comfortable writing for! if your character is not on this list, shoot me an ask before donating just to make sure!
stranger things:
eddie munson
steve harrington

As Marvel reportedly prepares to revamp its approach to television programming, “Loki” remains the only one of the nine series to get a second season. But, according to executive producer Kevin Wright, there wasn’t pressure in that fact — it was more like a responsibility.
“I could see how you could go that way. I think we found it as really freeing and exciting,” Wright told TheWrap. “Because it was like, we’re getting it because people liked it, and they were excited, and they’re super stoked. And also, because we end on the cliffhanger we end on, it would be cruel to not come back and pay that off.”
That said, Wright notes that he and his team made a concerted effort not to take fan enthusiasm for granted when crafting these six episodes.
“I think, for the team, there was a seriousness in the undertaking of it though, of: people liked it, we probably can’t just come back and play the hits and try to recapture the magic,” he explained. “Because that wouldn’t be fulfilling, even if we succeeded at it.”
He continued, “And so I think it was like, we established the world, it was a crazy world about time travel, and multiverse, but people bought in and they liked that world. And they liked these characters. And so, for us, it was like, OK, we can like really dive in deeper to this now. And hopefully people will come along with us on that ride.”
That said, like most of the other Marvel TV shows, “Loki” had shifts in its creative team. As a result, Wright and Tom Hiddleston, who executive produces the series as well as stars in it, were tasked with making sure there was a smooth transition.
“Because Kate Herron left at the end of season one, she kind of handed the reins over and said ‘I told my story, you guys run with it,’” Wright said. “It left a little bit of like a ship for us.”
According to Wright, Hiddleston was invaluable in keeping that ship afloat and moving, and has been since the show went into development almost five years ago. Wright touted Hiddleston’s devotion to the show, joking that sharing an adjoining office with him was often “like Kramer bursting into Jerry’s apartment on ‘Seinfeld’” when Hiddleston would get an idea.
“He has always been a true driving force behind the scenes of this. He’s my true producing partner, which, I can’t oversell that,” Wright said. “Truly, he’s there in the writers room. He is there as we start shooting. On weekends, we’re going in, we’re having meetings about, like, adjusting scripts so that we can find ways to get more money, and move it to build different sets and he’s involved in all those conversations.”
He continued, “And because of the shift between seasons — Kate stepping away, [Michael] Waldron stepping away to go and take on more responsibility of other Marvel projects — he and I kind of had to pick up more slack and be the continuity as we added pieces to our team, with like Justin [Benson] and Aaron [Moorehead], and Isaac, [Bauman] our cinematographer coming in, and kind of building and elevating people who are from our season one team into higher positions.”
Wright argues that the show wouldn’t be “nearly as great as it is” without Hiddleston specifically producing it.
“You know he’s going to give everything on screen. But as soon as we’re not shooting, he’s behind the scenes, making all of this work,” Wright said.
At this point, it’s unclear whether “Loki” will get, or even really need a third season, but Marvel is reportedly focused on their approach to TV going forward.
“We’re trying to marry the Marvel culture with the traditional television culture,” Brad Winderbaum, Marvel’s head of streaming, television and animation told THR. “It comes down to, ‘How can we tell stories in television that honor what’s so great about the source material?’”

IT HADN’T TAKEN long for Murray to come back on the radio again.
“Scoops Troop, this is… hm. Bald Eagle. I’ve reached another junction.”
“This is what?” Dustin asked.
“The fourth junction,” Kate called, standing next to Steve a couple yards away.
“All right, so if memory serves, this is right after the My Little Pony thesis,” Dustin said.
“We went left, so he has to go right,” Erica added.
“Fly right,” Dustin said into the radio.
“Roger that, flying right,” Murray replied.
“What’s the My Little Pony thesis?” Robin asked.
“Don’t get him started,” Erica answered.
Kate had only stared at the mall longingly, almost as if it were drawing her into it.
In hindsight, she should’ve just stayed with her sister. It wasn’t like she didn’t trust Jonathan and Nancy to get the rest of the kids to Murray Bauman’s apparent bunker that sat on the outskirts of Chicago just a couple of hours away from Hawkins, but she wanted to make sure that El would be safe, that it wouldn’t come after her. She needed to know that her sister would be safe, and right now she couldn’t guarantee that fact.
She could’ve gone with her father, too. It wasn’t like she wouldn’t have been able to handle going down there again. She couldn’t quite understand why her father had said no, especially since she had literally done it already. She could’ve gone through the vents instead of Murray, and Steve, Robin, Dustin, and Erica could’ve gone to Murray’s bunker, too. Most everyone could’ve been guaranteed safety if she had gone with Joyce, Murray, and her father, but Hopper hadn’t let her.
That was something she would never be able to understand.
“Hey, you okay?” Steve finally asked, putting his hand on her shoulder. Ever since he’d come off of his high, he’d been worried about her. Even though she hadn’t crashed yet, he figured all of what happened had taken a psychological toll on her.
Everything was still fuzzy during the time he’d been on whatever drugs the Russians had injected him with. He remembered bits and pieces of what happened, but nothing was truly clear. There were only three things he remembered enough where he could try to recall them: he had almost lost a finger nail, Kate had killed the evil Russian doctor that had drugged him, and Kate and Dustin had forced him to watch a movie about Alex P. Keaton trying to bang his mom. He didn’t remember too much.
“I’m just worried about them,” she said, not peeling her eyes away from the mall.
“I know you are,” he replied, sighing as he put his arm around her. “Listen, they’re gonna be okay, all right? Promise. We’re gonna be okay.”
Before she could reply, she only looked at the mall in front of her with wide eyes: the lights all around it flickered quickly. No one had to tell her what that meant before it sent chills down her spine.
They hadn’t made it to Murray’s bunker.
Steve dropped his arm from around Kate’s shoulder, walking toward the edge of the cliff. “Hey guys?”
The three that sat next to the radio moved closer to Steve and Kate, picking up on what they were so worried about, and quickly ran back to the radio. “Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop! Do you copy? Over! Griswold Family, I repeat, this is Scoops Troop. Do you—” Dustin cut himself off when he heard someone, something, shriek over the radio. “Griswold Family, do you copy!”
They only heard roaring in return.
“Griswold Family, this is Scoops Troop! Please confirm your safety!” Dustin said, and he started to repeat himself over and over again, only hoping for a response.
“I’ve gotta go,” Kate said, running back to the car.
“Shit, Kathy!” Steve shouted, running after her. “Wait up!”
“Where are you going!” Erica shouted.
“To get them the hell out of there!” Kate shouted back.
“Stay here, contact the others!” Steve said as the two ran off.
“Shit,” Robin said, running after them.
“Wait, Robin!” Dustin shouted, throwing her his walkie. “Stay in touch.”
She nodded, and as the three ran to the convertible, getting it out of the mud, they knew they had to go now.
Once they’d pulled onto the road again, Steve had gone over seventy miles an hour, driving like a maniac to get back to the mall. He was really hoping there were no Troopers out—he knew Kate was going to lose her shit if they had any delays.
“Steve, please, for the love of God—”
“Kathy, I love you, but if I drive any faster—”
“Steven!”
He only sighed, shaking his head as he pressed down harder on the gas pedal.
The ride to Cerebro had definitely been much longer than the ride back, considering Steve had nearly floored it back to the mall the entire time. Once they had arrived at the mall parking lot, they found Billy’s Camaro headed right to Nancy as she shot at him, protecting the car the kids sat in.
“Steve, floor it!” Kate shouted.
Right before Billy could have hit Nancy and crushed her into her mother’s SUV, which would have definitely killed the girl and possibly even the children inside, they ran into Billy’s car, wrecking them both into oblivion.
Billy’s car, which wasn’t too far from the one they were in, in addition to being completely wrecked, had flames coming from under the hood. The boy was slumped over in the front seat—he hadn’t moved.
Kate looked to Steve once they’d stopped skidding, who was panting. “Holy shit.”
“Are you guys okay?” Steve asked.
Robin leaned up in the front seat. “Ask me tomorrow?”
The three stood up in the car as they watched the Mind Flayer step out of the mall.
Kate only stared in horror, her eyes wide and her lips parted. “Holy shit.”
Nancy honked at them from her mom’s SUV, stopping next to the convertible. “Get in!”
The three jumped into the back, cramming into two of the seats. As they drove away from the mall, the three of them watched from the back in fear as the Mind Flayer chased them. Kate searched the car to see who was in it: Jonathan, Nancy, Lucas, Will, but no El, Mike, or Max. In a way, she was glad the beast was following the car instead of the trio back inside the mall. Maybe they could get away, hide, get somewhere safe.
“Dusty-bun, you copy?” a voice Kate didn’t recognize said over the radio.
“I copy, Suzie-poo,” Dustin said over the radio. “It sounds much better now, thanks.”
Robin, Steve, and Kate exchanged glances. “Suzie.”
“Okay, so, listen, do you know Planck’s constant?” Dustin asked.
“Do you know the Earth orbits the sun?” Suzie asked.
“Okay, so I know it starts with two sixes, and then a… Wh-What is it?”
“Okay, so let me just be clear on this,” Suzie started. “I haven’t heard from you in a week, and now you want a mathematical equation that you should know so you can… save the world?”
“Suzie-poo, I promise, I will make it up to you as soon as possible,” Dustin said. He was absolutely desperate.
“You can make it up to me now,” Suzie replied.
“What?”
“I want to hear it,” Suzie said.
“Not right now,” Dustin said urgently.
“Yes, now, Dusty-bun.”
“Suzie-poo, this is urgent.”
“Yes, yes, you’re saving the world, I heard you the first time, but Ged is also saving Earthsea and he’s about to confront the shadow, so this is Suzie, signing off.”
“Wait, wait, wait! Okay. Okay.” Before Dustin continued, he took a moment to himself. Kate had been confused as to why he was so against whatever it was she wanted him to do until he came back over the radio again. “Turn around… look at what you see…”
Kate let out a shocked laugh, quickly covering her mouth with her hand. She hated how she knew exactly what it was. She wasn’t the only one who recognized it: the three in the back only stared at each other because of the duet that was going on while they were being chased by the Mind Flayer. In fact, the entire car was silent as they listened to their friend and his very real girlfriend sing “Neverending Story.” In fact, the entire car was silent as they listened to their friend and his very real girlfriend sing. Kate knew that the kids would never let Dustin live this down. Ever.
Dustin chuckled happily once their singing came to an end, and Suzie let out a content sigh. “Planck’s constant is 6.62607004.”
“You just saved the world,” Dustin said.
Suzie sighed. “Gosh, I miss you, Dusty-bun.”
“And I miss you more, Suzie-poo.”
The three had stopped listening as the two gushed over each other.
“What the hell was that?” Steve asked, turning to Kate with a horrified look on his face.
She only laughed in response, shaking her head as she leaned into him.
Kate felt like they had been driving for hours.
She had rested her head on Steve’s shoulder, her fingers intertwined with his. Her thoughts only consisted of her father, Eleven, and their safety; she, in a way, wished that she had her sister’s powers, only for a moment or two, just so she could make sure they were okay. She had almost forgotten the creature had been chasing them until Steve said, “It’s turning around!”
Kate peered out the window, only to find that he was right: the creature wasn’t following them around anymore. It grew further and further away, seeming to grow smaller as the distance between the monster and their car grew.
“Maybe we wore it out?” Lucas asked, shrugging.
Jonathan shook his head. “I don’t think so. Hold on.”
Before anyone could object, Jonathan completely turned the car around, now chasing the Mind Flayer. Everyone screamed at the sudden movement, Steve, Robin, and Kate all colliding into each other.
The engine revved as the brunet pressed his foot harder against the gas pedal, and no one asked where they were going; they all knew the only place that the monster would even go to in Hawkins was the Starcourt Mall.
What made it worse was that they all knew why it was going back to the mall. That’s where Eleven was.

Alex’s Christmas Sleepover 2022!!!
Tumblr media
Okay, okay, sooooo
Last year I started this way too late and I also, like, completely failed and didn’t get any of my story requests done, so I greatly apologize for that 😅😅😅 BUT to @shadyrunawaykingdom, @corner-emo, and @sevenmillionpsychos, if you still want the same stories that you requested previously, I will write them this year and they will be the very first stories that I put out from this. If you want a new story instead, just let me know and I’ll do that instead. If you’d like to request another story along with your previous one, that’s perfectly fine, just know that your new story requests will go into whatever list I have going after your previous requests are done. If you need a reminder on what story you requested last year, let me know and I’ll tell you!!
So, now, here’s how things will go. Below, I’ll have listed the characters that I’m currently comfortable writing for categorized by fandoms, as well as different symbols relating to christmas and whatnot. You get to choose if you want a moodboard or story (if you pick story, you automatically get a moodboard as well, please keep that in mind), as well as what character or characters you’d like in it. If you want a story, you get to choose what type of story (smut, angst, fluff, comfort, etc. as well as any combinations - any characters I list that are canonically younger than 18, I will be aging up unless you ask for a scenario that requires them to be younger, just no asking for there to be smut while the character isnt aged up to 18+) as well as if you’d like a shorter story (Around 500-1,500 words) or a longer story (Around 2,000+). You then get to also add in any of the christmas symbols that I list and voila. I shall create something for you 😌
I do ask that you go through this whole post in order to create your request. Also, if you want a specific version of a character (ie, Emo!Wanda Maximoff, Dark!Lizzie Saltzman, Season 3!Eddie Munson, etc., etc..), then please let me know!! You can just fill out the information below and let me fill in the blanks with whatever comes to my mind or you can give me a specific scenario along with the other things as well, it's entirely up to you!!

Single-word Requests: Open
Hello, lovelies! it's been a minute since my requests have been opened up again, and since classes are finished up for me, I thought this could be fun again. However, I wanted to make things a little easier on myself while adding a fun twist. I know similar things have been done, so know that this definitely isn't an entirely original idea.
I found an Inktober list for 2020 that was meant to be one illustration a week and wanted to use it for blurb/drubble/mini Oneshot requests.
All you gotta do is send me a number/word and a pairing and I'll try and see what kind of story I can come up with. But, if you get an idea for the plot yourself, you can definitely add that as well.
rules always apply and can be found linked here.
fics will be 500 words as a baseline
you are free to ask for characters not featured on the below list
I will write platonically for male characters w/ readers and platonically or romantically for female characters w/ readers

Towards a Sociology of Failure
By Katherine Pendakis and Elisabeth Rondinelli
Katherine Pendakis, PhD York University, teaches in the Department of Social and Cultural Studies at the Grenfell campus of Memorial University. Her previous research as an ethnographer has been about migration, diasporic identity, and kinship in Greece, Vietnam, and Canada. Publications by Katherine Pendakis have appeared in Citizenship Studies, Journal of Refugee Studies, The Asia-Pacific Journal, and Surveillance & Society.
Tumblr media
Professor Katherine Pendakis.
Elisabeth Rondinelli, PhD York University, is an ethnographer and cultural sociologist. She teaches in the Department of Sociology at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Topics of her research include the sociology of emotions and gender-based online violence.
As Millennial scholars born into the Canadian working class, we (Liz and Kate) were raised on a standard diet of “work hard, get ahead” at a time when it still felt possible to meet the traditional markers of adulthood: graduating with a college or university education; getting a job with a stable income; buying a home; building a family with partners, pets, and maybe children. But as Silva (2013) has shown, this trajectory has become less possible for young adults today. As neoliberalism has reduced state supports, well-paying union jobs have disappeared, and students have become heavily indebted, Millennials, and more recently Gen Z, are searching for alternative ways of claiming self-worth.
We have been researching an emerging “culture of failure” in North American society. This culture is mainly aimed at, concerned with, and produced by Gen Z and Millennials, and is expressed in mainstream media and social media ranging from observations of changes in the labour market (like the “great resignation” and “quiet quitting”) to reflections on the mundane failures of everyday life (like “goblin mode” and “bed rotting”). At the centre of our analysis is an examination of how discourses of failure convey a critical and lucid understanding of the limitations of our contemporary social systems as well as traditional markers of adulthood. This departs in striking ways from dominant approaches to failure.
Traditional narratives of failure tell us that it is best thought of as something from which to learn and a necessary stepping stone on the way to success and self-development. A simple Google search will yield hundreds of motivational quotes by entrepreneurs, athletes, political personalities, and influencers – living and dead – that frame failure as an unlikely teacher, urging us to keep trying. Similar aspirational sentiments are reproduced everywhere, from schools and workplaces, to pillows, kitchen walls, and coffee mugs: “Fail again. Fail better!” From this perspective, chronic failure that does not yield identifiable self-development is consequently seen as evidence of an individual’s lack of grit, perseverance, work ethic, or self- discipline.
Tumblr media
Professor Elisabeth Rondinelli.
Certainly, there are many sociological analyses that tell us about the power of this framing. In fact, critical sociologists have long been preoccupied with the power and pervasiveness of individualistic discourses that encourage people to take personal responsibility for their circumstances and status. Working with theoretical contributions from key critical social and political theorists like Bauman (2000), Beck (1992), Bourdieu (1977, 1986), Brown (1995), Foucault (1997), and Rose (1990, 1999), studies have explored the diverse manifestation of these discourses, tracking how individualism shows up, for instance, in entrepreneurial subjectivity (Bröckling 2015), the meritocratic myth (Calarco et al. 2022; Mijs 2021), moral or flexible citizenship (Ong 1999; Valverde 1991), and therapeutic and self-help narratives (Illouz 2007, 2008; Silva 2013). Each of these discourses frames one’s experiences and position in social life as a consequence of one’s own individual behaviour and decision-making. At the centre of each is the self: wealth, prestige, strong relationships, and good health are manifestations of one’s will; financial precarity, divorce, and illness reflect poor decision-making and a lack of self-discipline. We have found that for critical sociologists, self-blame and talk of failure is simply a reflection of these discourses – one that ultimately serves to reproduce social inequality by blocking the possibility of collective awareness and critique of social structures.
A notable example of this tradition is Silva’s treatment of working-class Millennials’ reliance on therapeutic narratives to come to terms with their sense of failure. With the assistance of self-help books and media, therapists and support groups, Millennials develop a therapeutic narrative through which they position themselves as having succeeded in overcoming their personal demons (like pathological family relationships, bad habits, learning challenges, mental illness, and addiction). At the same time, however, Silva interprets this tendency as a depoliticizing force, turning young people inward and “hardening” them against themselves and others. Silva documents instances in which interviewees blame themselves or others for failing to achieve traditional markers of adulthood or for not having more success in their journey of self-development. Failure and therapeutic narratives thus go hand in hand.
While Gen Z has inherited this now well-entrenched therapeutic narrative and the self-help culture that goes along with it, we argue that there is also evidence of an emerging generational disenchantment with the allure of perpetual self-improvement. Against hustle culture, against “the grind,” against performative productivity, and burning the candle on both ends, Gen Z has at their disposal a new framework through which they can understand these norms to be “toxic” remnants of an outdated work-obsessed culture. Foregoing the fantasies of meritocratic social mobility and reward, Gen Z can now appeal to slowness, staying put, and opting out.
Arguably, generational divides have been well-documented, characterized by mutual disdain, hostility or suspicion: the young consider the old to be out of touch; the old call the young idealistic and irresponsible, naive to the ways of the world. But we claim that what marks this generation – Gen Z in particular – is the historically specific set of tools they have to articulate their shared condition. This shared condition includes having been born into internet culture and digital practice, the mainstream acknowledgement that it may be too late to do anything about climate change, the widespread forecasting of declining quality of life, and the discourses of mental health crises and isolation wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic. It is in this context that a “culture of failure” begins to make sense.
As sociologists, what tools do we have to make sense of this emerging culture of failure? In the absence of an existing “sociology of failure,” we are currently conducting a systematic overview of the discipline’s implicit attempts to understand failure, with an aim to developing methodological and conceptual tools for a more expansive treatment of failure. Framing our overview in terms of the promises and limitations of these attempts, we examine contributions from both critical and cultural sociology. We show that critical sociologists’ preoccupation with how ideologies justify inequality leads them to treat failure as evidence of internalized individualism, false-consciousness, or neoliberal subjectivity. Since our interest is precisely in the critical capacities that are evident in contemporary discourses of failure, we argue that the critical sociological tradition requires considerable intervention if it is to recognize and explore how a culture of failure can also be a culture of critique.
We then turn to cultural sociology. We show that cultural sociologists’ focus on agentic forms of meaning-making activity position them to offer a more expansive analysis of discourses of failure. While we do indeed discover these, we argue that, in practice, cultural sociologists tend to avoid taking up failure as a social fact requiring careful theoretical elaboration and detailed empirical investigation. Indeed, the closer cultural sociologists come to investigating failure, the more they rely on analyses from critical sociology that reduce actors’ talk of failure to evidence that they lack critical capacity and an understanding of the conditions that shape their lives.
Ultimately, our project tracks a generational impulse that seems to be wresting failure from the therapeutic narrative and deploying it instead to advance a collective critique of social systems and the contemporary moment. To meet the emergence of this collective critique, we argue that sociology must reckon with its reductive treatments of failure.
