Sam knew something was up when he went to talk to him about the evidence and saw him zoning out. " Sam do you know what's up with him? " Seth said. " I've never seen him like this." Nate said. Sam got up and jumped on Colby and that got him out of his head. " what the hell Colby!? " Sam yelled. They looked at him and saw him blushing." why are you blushing dude?" Sam asked him." I'm not blushing dude, it's hot in here " he said walking away to the kitchen. They looked and saw the temperature was at 70 degrees and they looked at each other and shrugged.

It's been a couple weeks and Sam and Colby just got back from filming hell week. You knew they would be too tired to cook so you decided to bring them food. You walked to there door and knocked. Katrina opened the door and yelled and hugged you. The guys heard yelling and ran to the living room and saw you there and hugged you. " dude, I'm so excited to see you! How are you?" Colby smiling while looking at you."i missed you so much Colby you have no idea.i also brought food for you all and I got you all surprises!' you said. A few weeks go by and it was the day of the concert and you herd a knock against your door, your make-up artist went and opened the door and there was kat looking at you and you saw a tear coming from her eyes as she sees her best friend getting ready for her first concert. When the guys get there and they see you there mouths drop ( your outfit is what is pictured above ). When Colby sees you he smiles knowing they have no idea you and him are dating and now him seeing you dressed up he wouldn't lie if he wasn't getting turned on by seeing you in this outfit." well we are heading to our seats we will see you out there ". You smile at blow bliss at them.

Premise: Young protagonist falls in love with and shortly after marries a wealthy English widower. When he brings her home, she can't help but feel like his dead wife's shadow looms just above her.

Personally, I think this novel is the literary equivalent of Honeymoon by Lana del Rey slowly transitioning to Caroline by Taylor Swift (and similar tracks with equally eerie vibes)

Frankenstein by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley

Premise: Aspiring scientist becomes so obsessed with finding out how to create life that he doesn't stop to ask whether he should create it. Proceeds to anger his 8-feet-tall creature and chase it across Europe so it doesn't kill everyone dear to him.

Fingersmith by Sarah Waters

Premise: Orphaned and broke Sue agrees to help a conman seduce a wealthy heiress (in a "gloomy mansion", according to the back of my edition) and cheat her out of all her money. Problem: Sue and the wealthy heiress develop feelings for each other and must get rid of the men who stand in their way

This story is also well-known in its Korean film adaptation "The Handmaiden" directed by Park Chan-wook (which I have a totally normal obsession with).

Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu

Premise: Near a secluded castle in the Austrian woods a carriage crashes and crawling out comes the beautiful and mysterious Carmilla. To Laura, who has so far lived alone with her father, Carmilla is a much needed companion. However, something about Carmilla seems off.

I went to see an opera adaptation of this novel and at least once a week I wish I was in that theatre building again.

1. which character do you relate to the most from your fandom?

Obviously I want to say Thomas, because I love him to pieces-- but honestly? Probably Alison. There's something about being a very normal person, just doing their best, and never quite getting ahead that resonates with me. Which I suppose is the point!

If I had to pick one of the ghosts, though? Definitely Humphrey.

I mean, he brought some of his problems on himself, but he's someone trying to help people, and getting along despite some pretty steep physical limitations! I'm not nearly as wise as he is, but I'm not nearly as old, either-- probably for the best!

Thomas and Cap, absolutely. I'm not sure when I originally went 'OH! THEM!', because I didn't actually like Cap at first. But he really grew on me, and now he's easily one of my favourites.

I have a huge soft spot for Cap seeing that there's more to Thomas than his histrionics; and for Thomas' accepting, romantic side to give Cap a safe space to simply be himself. Something I don't think he's ever had much chance to do.

I have a whole backstory-headcanony-rp bio-y thing written up for him, and it's been collecting dust for ages, so I could ramble on about them for aaaages!

'A Kiss, Then', by SunriseBirds. Thorne was a slight sort of man, the kind who had no business going into duels or the army without some serious training and possibly a minor miracle (although his right hook was suspiciously, one might say supernaturally, strong). Spread out on the seat, he looked kind of… delicate, which wasn’t a thing you were supposed to think about a man and certainly wasn’t something to aspire to, but Thorne did and it was… well, it suited him. It made the Captain annoyed to even have that thought - he rather blamed Thorne for causing him to have it.

I've re-read them so many times, and whenever I'm craving a Cap/Thomas fix, they're the ones I go to. They both cover the lead-up to them getting together, and their voices for the characters are absolutely perfect. They're the sort of fics you can completely immerse yourself in, and they're such satisfying reads that you wish you could re-read it for the first time again!

The Parting Glass, by Peter Hollens feat. The Hound + The Fox For all of them. There's something quite resigned and a bit melancholy about it, and I just love it.

tolerate it, by Taylor Swift I'm not a big fan of her music usually, but this one for Thomas? It's a whole song about giving so much to someone you love, and getting nothing in return.

I've always headcanoned that Thomas knows Alison will never love him, and that's a big part of the reason he's so dramatic about it. He can flirt, and play at love; and all the while knowing he won't actually get hurt, because it is, in essence, a game.

I wanted to include at least a little bit of music from each of the ghosts time frame so I decided on a little bit of Mozart for Kitty - who, given when she lived and the familial culture at the time, probably played an instrument with piano being entirely probable.

I wanted to include at least one Bridgerton song for Kitty because I mean it’s obvious how influential issues brought up in the show would be on Kitty’s life. She was alive just before Bridgerton is set (1813 - Kitty died in the late 1700s) so I think she’d appreciate the modern song with a twist, and obviously she’d love the all the dances and everything.

Walking On Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves

An easy choice. I mean, it’s literally the go to song for people who are incredibly happy and optimistic. I didn’t want to include tons of overly happy songs for Kitty because I find her overwhelming happiness to be tinged with such sadness — she’s positive to a fault and it’s so sad what she went through during her life but yeah it’s a nice song for her.

Forever Young - Alphaville

I read somewhere that Kitty is canonically a teenager - I don’t know if that’s true so if someone could enlighten me that would be really great. But yeah is Kitty the youngest ghosts, surely it’s her or Thomas right? Anyway, Kitty will be forever young and I find that a weird concept?? That’s my in depth analysis XD

Enter One - Sol Seppy

I have so so so so so so so so much love for this song I think it’s just gorgeous. Okay but like assuming Kitty grew up at Button House (or I assume Higham House at the time) then she would’ve grown up literally from a little kid in front of some of the other ghosts (Robin, Humphrey, Mary and Annie) so like they witnessed whatever trauma and/or neglect Kitty went through. Ages ago I read someone talking about the ghosts watching her grow up and then taking care of her for the first time after she died (I can’t find the post) so like this verse: “To a friend, A sister in need, Who is not alone, And they are surrounding her, And they will enfold her outstretched hand, In our love” is just so beautiful for that moment when they finally get to take her away from her family which I love and adore and uhhhhh it’s so good, it’s such a good song.

Shake It Off - Taylor Swift

Okay from me legit crying over Kitty’s life and emotional stuff to just being like yeah this is a happy song and just something to dance to!!

Magnificent (She Says) - Elbow

This song just has gorgeous vibes and given that Kitty has just gorgeous vibes as well it was impossible for me not to include it.

Good Day - The Dresden Dolls

Someone suggested The Dresden Dolls for Kitty on my previous music post and I’d never heard of them before I’m a bit in love now… like the dark cabaret style and creepy sorta vocals and piano are just <3 <3 Like damn! And yeah I think this song is Kitty-like cause like when Alison was kinda ignoring her in ALN she got really upset as if this was a regular occurrence in her life as well like her sister or maybe her parents ignoring her in favour of her sister maybe??

Optimistic - Radiohead

“And remember: as long as you try your best.” I think that line is probably the moment of Kitty’s “personality introduction” so I kinda had to include something similar.

Devil Town - Cavetown

Okay I know this song is about parental divorce but I kinda like to apply it a bit more widely to broken families and dysfunctional households which Kitty obviously experienced. I think also the line “nevermind, I’ll settle for two birthdays” shows a kind of optimism in the face of family trauma and the acceptance that bad things often have to be spun in a positive light to cope with it.

Kitty angst, Kitty angst, Kitty angst!!! After the episode descriptions we got today I am really really hoping for much more of a deep dive into Kitty’s emotions. I just want to know more about her life, and I just want the other ghosts to be protective and loving of her O.O

Stacking Chairs - Middle Kids

Kitty’s urge to be around Alison and do what’s best for her is just what I love more than anything. I really love that scene she has with the Captain where he’s like “you one Alison?” And “You want what’s best for her” like Cap/Kitty solidarity is what I live for (more to come in season 3????)

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

I feel like with Alison arriving at the house Kitty finally has the opportunity to be a young woman again?? If that makes sense. Cause she’s been around generally older and predominantly male ghosts for a long time which is why I think she’s fixated on Alison so much because it’s the first time in centuries that she’s been around someone with similar interests etc as her. So yeah, like asking for the sleepover and wanting to talk about boys and stuff gives me Teenage Dream vibes.

In One Ear - Cage The Elephant

Like I said I didn’t want Kitty’s playlist to all be soft and sweet cause I feel like that’s kinda reducing everything about her into a little soft ball of syrup so yeah this song is sick and it’s basically about not caring what others say about you but yeah I like it!!

Would You Be So Kind - dodie

I had to include something dodie cause she’s just got that soft kind vibe. I don’t love many of her songs, it’s not really my style, but this (and In The Middle) are pretty good. Also I don’t think Kitty has much of a distinction between platonic and romantic love (same Kitty) and therefore this song is pretty fitting.

Amazing Grace - Judy Collins

If I could include Kitty’s ‘Amazing Kitty’, I definitely would cause that whole scene is just really funny. But like I said, I’m trying to include some music from when they would have lived and Amazing Grace is from the 1770s which is just when Kitty would’ve been born.

Happy - Pharrell Williams

An obvious choice but I wanted to talk about this a touch. My irl friend hates Kitty so much because she say she can’t stand people who are always happy and like infectiously positive all the time and literally every time Kitty is on screen she starts complaining and I find it so bizarre and like I’ve called her out a number of times like stfu but it’s constant. Like I find Kitty’s happiness kinda melancholy cause like she has so much to be sad about like her family and sister and stuff and I think learning more about in her life will just extend quite how sad her overt happiness actually is.

We’re Going to Be Friends - The White Stripes

Ngl I had no idea this was by The White Stripes before searching it up but apparently it is. It’s about like childhood friendship and nostalgia which I think is very right for Kitty as she works to try and make Alison her best friend after not having one during her life (and therefore relying on Florence the statue).

Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper

This song just gives me major girly sleepover vibes which I think is quite fitting. I find it interesting that as soon as Alison can see the ghosts (and accepts that she can see them) the first thing Kitty asks of Alison is to have a sleepover, maybe she sees that as the true mark of friendship? Perhaps her sister was always having sleepovers with her friends and Kitty wanted to join? I want to know Kitty’s backstory more than anyones, I think she’s fascinating!!

what song makes you feel better?

It depends why I need to feel better. Sometimes it's playing Horseshoes & Handgrenades by Green Day obnoxiously loud. Sometimes it's Get Better by Frank Turner. Sometimes it's Shake It Off by Taylor Swift. I was recently doing an 80s dance workout that I found on Youtube and one of the songs was Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves and it put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!

what flower would you like to be given?

I love lilies, especially calla lilies. The first flower my husband ever bought me was a single purple calla lily and I had a bouquet of white ones on our wedding day 💖

what calms you down?

I've spent a lot of time thinking about this as someone who suffers really badly with anxiety and struggles to feel calm. So, ASMR videos on Youtube, the two most recent Taylor Swift albums, sleepcasts on the Headspace app and having my hair stroked.

What would a karaoke party with the Naruto characters look like?

Slight AU where Neji and Jiraiya are still alive and everybody is having an after-war party. Oh, and the characters know western music and everybody is allowed to drink some sake.

They all meet up to have some BBQ first. After the meal, they decide to go to a karaoke bar, since the night was still young and everyone was in a good mood (although Kakakshi’s and Guy’s mood was a little bit too good, since Guy challenged Kakashi to a drinking competition during the BBQ)

Since the bar was mostly empty as our group walked in, the first one to grab the mic is Naruto, of course. “Let’s get the party started, dattebayo!” he screams as Walking on sunshine by Katrina & the Waves starts playing. He actually sings pretty good and also very enthusiastic, his energy is just contagious to everybody in the room.

After that, Guy turnes to his rival and shouts loudly: “Kakashi! Naruto just showed us what TRUE YOUTH looked like! Let’s have a competition of who can express the power of YOUTH better with the power of music!” Kakashi eye-smiled and nodded, so Guy jumped out of his wheelchair onto his hands and shouted “Let’s go, Lee!”. Lee stood straight up and replied with “Yes, Guy sensei!”. As they stood on the small stage, a familiar tune started playing: YMCA by Village People. When the refrain came on, they both danced the letters, animating everyone to join them. Naruto and Sai were the first ones to join immediately, and Kankuro did not let the chance slip to grab Gaara’s hands from behind and let him do the dance (like a marionette, basically.), to which Gaara reacted with a heavy blush of embarassment, but secretly enjoying the dance. I think that it’s safe to say that no one will ever forget the view of Guy standing on one hand (holding the mic with the other) and managing to dance the letters with his legs better than anyone could do with their hands.

Now it was Kakashi’s turn. He had spent the last few minutes thinking of a good song to sing, and since he was already pretty drunk, he really didn’t care anymore if he made a fool of himself. So he went up to the stage and taking a deep breath before pressing the play button. A catchy beat started playing: Shake It Off by Taylor Swift. During the first verse he was still a little stiff, but as soon as the refrain came on he started to loosen up, earning a few “Woo!”s from Naruto, Sakura, Tsunade and Yamato. But the most surprising part was when Kakashi absolutely nailed the bridge part without even looking at the text on the screen. He really shook it all off this evening. His team members (and everyone else too tbh) will definetly make references to this incident everytime they get the chance to. Guy would declare Kakashi the winner of the competition. “That was truly beautiful! You really internalized TRUE YOUTH!”

Then, Kiba shouts “my turn!” and runs to the stage, Akamaru right beside him. Kiba nods to Akamaru as they stand on the stage, Akamaru seeming to understand what Kiba means. Then, Who Let The Dogs Out by Baha Men starts playing (I’m not even remotely sorry). But everytime the who, who, who, who? part comes on, Kiba holds the mic in front of Akamaru, so he can bark the part. Even the bar-owner, who had been sceptical about having a dog in his bar, was now laughing and enjoying himself. He had almost never witnessed a party group in such a great mood, and he started wondering what else this evening would bring.
