Welp, my second semester approaches! And I'm not sure of how heavy the work load will be this year round, since I'm also expected to gain an internship in the summer.

On top of that, I've decided to get a good number of parts made up beforehand before posting so I can at least have a few posts to post weekly or bi-weekly at best for a while. (but if i hit a part where i can answer asks, I'll probably take a pause to gather them^^)

While asks do help with rounding out and somewhat progressing the story, I don't wanna rely too heavily on them, and thus I'm also scripting so dialogue by itself won't be as shoddy this year round.

Even if I'm gonna try to keep yas entertained with posts of random lore bits, scenarios, and other concepts, I feel like I might disappear for longer intervals after the 21st.

With all of this in mind, I want to keep y'all engaged during these busy times.

Here you'll be able to mingle with packmates, share arts more easily and receive updates on RIC and keep in touch with me more directly! [I mean, you can still keep in touch with me here, but I feel discord may be more quicker and more direct- :P]

sooo i kinda disappeared for quite a while, but oh well, i'm here now.

the entire october was honestly a mess: there was so much stuff at the same time, i am still rather overwhelmed even though currently i am dealing with just the last few bits of the slowly dying flame that is my practice at school as a teacher. thankfully, it has just ended, so now i am left with a few papers and assignments to fill in, and then this unit is done for good.

to summarize all of the things that happened into a short list:

i moved from one parent to another, accompanied with my dog;

my dog kept getting sick for different reasons, this month we visited the vet more than in the entirety of the last year;

i taught 3 classes at school, 2nd grade level;

i taught one extracurricular class, 1st grade level;

made a group project with other students and kids from 3rd grade;

speedrun my practice diaries (assignments we have to do during our practice at a school) in two days;

learned how to cook some basic soups;

learning how to bake pancakes;

decorated my room, so now it finally feels like home.

as one might be able to notice, that's quite a list. there definitely could be even more, but thankfully fate spared me from more stress than i could already barely handle. but hey, on the bright side of things, i have grown quite a lot as a young adult, and all those troubles showed me that i am stronger than i anticipated myself to be (which is a big revelation for me).

i am very glad for everything turning out the way it did, and now i finally have some energy and emotional resources back to focus more on my hobbies and interests. isn't that wonderful?

How to Maintain a Long - Distance Friendship

Everyone has friends who have moved to other countries and now you don't see each other in person anymore, some friendships fad shortly after the move.

Although we may not talk often, we still stay in touch by sending messages, voice notes, or making occasional calls. I also see photos and videos on social media and react to them, asking questions about the places they visit or the events they attend. This allows us to keep the connection alive.

However, sometimes people don't respond to my reactions or they just reply with something brief like "Everything is okey". It makes me wonder if they've already moved on with their lives - new friend, new interests and perhaps they've forgotten about the past.

So, how do you keep a long-distance friendship going?
