I will not ever apologize for speaking my truth and saying I 100% believe Harumasa is absolutely, positively clingy as a partner.

So long as you two are together, he'll whine and pout damn near like a child any time he has to be separated from you. Can you really blame him though? He can't ever really say he knows how long he has left, so every single second he could be spending with you is of practically life-and-death importance to him; it isn't his fault he has to be so clingy! Besides, any reasonable person that loves their partner should want to be around them often, right?

That in mind, he will take literally any excuse he can to have you by his side. Well, as long as he's not at work anyway, he can't exactly take you to work with him, all things considered. So long as he's off work and you aren't at work yourself though, he's practically gotta be with you all the time. You need to do a grocery run? No matter what condition he's in, he'll try to come with you. Going to get lunch with a friend? He insists that surely they'd be fine with your oh so sweet boyfriend being there too. You want to go see a movie at the cinema for once instead of watching it at home way after it releases? Well, he just has to go with you; you'll have to forgive him if he falls asleep halfway through the movie though...

What he enjoys the most though are your shared days in. He absolutely loves getting to just stay home with you all day. Even if the day is full of nothing but basic, mundane activities, he's perfectly content. Just having you there is more than enough for him. So long as you're there he can kiss, cuddle, and bug you as much as he wants! There's also the plus of having you there to play doctor for him if he gets to feeling unwell, which he certainly prefers to having to deal with real doctors. It's all a win for him! He doesn't have to go anywhere and you're right there with him!

Under circumstances where you can't be with him in person for a while for whatever reason, he may very well insist on, at the least, texting back and forth regularly if not staying on a phone call with you while you're apart. Makes him feel less lonely and a lot less worried about you, because believe me, he worries. He worries a lot. Ironic as it is, he gets concerned that something bad is going to happen to you while he's not there. Probably just as concerned as you get about him on the regular, if not somehow more actually??? Please don't let him worry too hard, it might make him feel sicker than usual. :(

No matter what, so long as you're dating Harumasa, you'd better be prepared to be spending a lot of quality time with him. <3

Louis De Pointe Du Lac: A Study on Memory

Okay this started off as me berating myself for watching "I Could Not Prevent It" before work. And devolved into revelations. So enjoy my sleep deprived ramblings. Spoilers ahead for S2.

Okay why the fuck did I watch this episode knowing I have a week of hell at work ahead of me? Because now I'm spiraling going through the tag on Twitter. There is SO much nuance added to Loustat. And after hours upon hours of the manipulation that is Loumand, to finally have Loustat again is driving me mad. Because we got them back but at what cost? This isn't them and because so much of Paris is laced with Armand, it's hard to tell what's real from what we think is real. Hell Armand said the very same. But I don't mean the obviously not real elements like the trial. I mean the times Lestat breaks character, but instead of adding to what Louis told us, it's almost a complete rewrite. Which brings into question how unstable Louis' mind actually is. Louis who is attentive and consistently praises Daniel for his memory. Daniel who is not a spring chicken and had a very serious drug addiction for almost a decade. The man whose memory shouldn't be as intact as it is. Why does he recall more than the vampire who's supposed to be better than humans. Yes time warps things but complete rewrites? Is Louis' brain and memory that fragile or is this more manipulation from Armand? Which also begs the question, how much is Armand doctoring Louis' memory? After the San Francisco episode they want us to believe if he can rewrite a week, he can do more. But what if he HASN'T done that much. What's Louis' actual mental decline and what's Armand? We also still have no explanation for Lestat outside of Louis potentially being schizophrenic...........holy shit I think I just answered my own question.

Schizophrenia is a genetic trait. I've been saying it's the trauma because I wrote off Paul as an anomaly in their family. But what if he's not? What if Louis' own schizophrenia was simply delayed BECAUSE of the vampirism. But time is catching up to him and the immortal blood can only do so much. "Law number 2: The Dark Gifts must never be given to the crippled." The law goes on to say it's because the gift should be bestowed on beauteous people as a laugh in the face of god. But time and time again we've heard it can't be given to children who are also considered crippled, because their brains can not handle it. It has nothing to do with beauty and everything to do with vampirism exacerbating issues. When Lestat made Louis he seemed of sound mind and body, and he was...because it hadn't started yet. And a vampire surviving brutal injuries in turn makes them stronger. Louis burns himself his first day. The fall was his first big recovery. Then the burning in SF. He's gotten stronger which keeps the decline at bay. But he's growing weaker living in that tomb of an apartment. Armand goes out but Louis stays home. Isolated.

He tried to break free with Daniel once. Here we are again and would you look at that...his memory is suddenly coming back clearer. Okay I need to sleep before I dig even deeper into whether or not I'm way off base or I've cracked the code.

I'm an eternal digger of good narrative techniques. A decent story becomes great in my eyes if the narrative is done right. And it's one of the hardest things to do really, since there's no one-size-fits-all rule for what technique works well with a particular story and what doesn't. One of the primary reasons I keep obsessing over Lovely Runner is its' narrative technique. In all honesty, if it had a linear, singular narrative, I would not be hyperventilating over it on a constant basis (I still would just a certain amount, because both Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon deserve awards for what they are doing). One reason it has managed to knock it out off the park and take the top spot in my forever-favorite list is how wonderfully well the narrative is done.

The primary perspective used in this show is Im Sol's. It's through her we're introduced to the story. Her perspective gives shape to the plot, the characters, because we learn things through her. Her perspective is absolutely critical for exposition. Without her thoughts and way of viewing things, you would never realize why saving Seon Jae means so much to her, or why she would bend the rules and bulldoze ahead when it comes to his safety (exhibit A, her leaving home on the day of the accident, despite knowing about her fate). She'd rather have him alive than have him in her life. Without her narrative, you'd think it's really all about a fan saving her idol (thanks to everyone who'd rejected the script listening to that pitch by the way, I'm grateful we have BWS and KHY as the leads because of that, I would not change it for anyone else). With Im Sol's perspective, you realize, she is not just a fan: she's an ardent admirer, a cheerleader, a well-wisher, a protector, an invisible friend trying to support her friend any way she can, someone who respects Seon Jae, sees him as an idol but also as a human, someone who wants to give back to him the same kindness, empathy and love she had once received from him over a radio call. To her, Seon Jae is first a guardian angel and then an idol, the angel who changed her view of life, made her appreciate things even amidst all that could be wrong with the world and her life. He saved her. Not just on that day at the hospital but every time she struggled and faltered since then, he was there, as invisible as it may have been. So this time, she wants to save him, no matter the price.

Then comes Seon Jae. Oof. If Im Sol's perspective gives the story its beautiful, beautiful shape, Seon Jae's perspective breathes literal life in to the body of the story. The show wouldn't be what it is today if not for his perspective. Without his view into things, Im Sol appears as a fangirl going to extreme measures to save her idol, clinging onto him like a monkey (yes I mean the poster) embarrassing the heck out of herself, making you cringe (in a good, enjoyable way) throughout. Then you reach the end of episode 2 and it knocks the breath out of you because WHAT DO YOU EVEN MEAN. It all clicks.

All this while we kept thinking Seon Jae was caught off guard and just kind enough to tolerate her antics, and maybe he'd slowly fall for her now, only to realize we were completely oblivious to a whole different side of the story. If Im Sol's narrative draws you in and keeps you hooked, making you root for her to succeed, it's Seon Jae's narrative that makes you irredeemably fall in love with them and sincerely, genuinely, desperately hope they get their happy ending together after all the storm.

And the motifs. Walking/running, for instance. I'll focus on just one scene here. I recall seeing a bts where KHY is discussing the OG 2008 accident scene, and it explains how she has to slow down, while running away, for just a moment, only to be hit by the taxi driver. Have you ever been in a situation of absolute panic, desperation and stress, then suddenly found a familiar face or a name or a thing you could connect to, and felt a wave of relief rush through you? She sees Seon Jae, a person who is calling out her name. Even if she didn't know him back then, the fact that he knew her (and that he had his uniform on), gives her a sense of safety she badly needed that moment. That momentary relief, so visible in her features, then overtakes the crippling fear she felt running in the middle of nowhere with no one in sight in the dead of the night. Her body, already exhausted beyond anything, responds to the relief she feels for those few seconds, slowing down her steps.

And that is when she is caught off-guard and hit. That also might have added to Im Sol's anger at the hospital when she is screaming at Seon Jae, her internal anguish that if only she had not paused seeing Seon Jae, and kept on running, then maybe she wouldn't be hit, wouldn't fall, wouldn't lose her ability to walk. It's one thing to have tropes and symbolic things, but it's a very different thing to know how to use them effectively so they elicit very specific types of emotions/reactions out of people. Lovely Runner excels in that. All kdramas more or less have 'things' that take on different meanings for the couples/viewers. It's the way motifs are used to narrate the story in this one that has me going back over and over again to all the episodes aired so far. These are not just their 'things', these are 'things' that drive the plot forward, tell you about their characters, their personal motivations, what they mean to each other and so much more.

This is getting longer that I intended it to be so will end with this. I feel valued when watching Lovely Runner. And I've seen people saying the same thing. It feels like they respect your critical thinking skills, and your ability to infer, so they don't spoon-feed you everything from the get-go, and you can't predict much despite it being primarily a rom-com. You'd be pulling your hair out (again, in a good way) trying to figure out what they will show next, and you will be somewhat or very far from the truth, which will compel you to think further about the story, the characters, long after an episode has aired...I can't remember the last time it happened with a drama. I love this storytelling.

Relationship, Shiu?

Angst

The situation was complicated, and very much so. You and Shiu had something for two years, something undefined. You made love, went out to eat, slept together and talked a lot, like a couple, but you weren't. Shiu had never wanted to define what you were. You were supposed to go out together, and you went to his house, but a girl opened the door for you, looked at you with a little smile and left without saying anything. You, inside the apartment, are about to leave when he stops you.

"Y/n, please, wait..." Shiu mumbled.

"Please" he reaches out and grabs your wrist. "Let me explain."

"Go on then"

"Just... Hear me out, please" he pleads as his grip on your wrist slowly loosens.

Taking a deep breath, he starts: "You know that I have trust issues. And you know how dangerous my job is. I don't want to be a danger to the people I care about."

"So what, what's that girl?"

"Khy?" He seems caught off guard, but quickly composes himself. "She's just a friend. I swear. Nothing more. We just get together from time to time."

"Define get togheter."

He hesitates, knowing fully well what you're insinuating.

"We just hang out, that's all. Movies, cafes, that sort of thing." Shiu avoids your gaze.

"I don't believe you."

"You have to believe me, please."

He steps closer to you, gently taking hold of your other hand. He finally meets your gaze, desperately trying to convince you.

"Look at me. You know I'm no good at lying."

You were mad.

"Shiu, what are we? Me and you."

His expression turns solemn as he holds your gaze, the answer dancing on the tip of his tongue.

"You know what we are" he says softly. "We..."

He pauses, his hands still holding your own. "We're... complicated.

"No, you are an adult. Define our relationship." He takes another deep breath, his eyes dropping to the floor briefly before lifting back to meet your gaze.

"I like to think we're..." he starts, hesitating for a moment... "more than friends, but less than lovers."

"Okay." You coldly reply. He notices the coldness in your tone and it clearly bothers him.

"Y/n, please, why are you acting like this?" He asks, gently tightening his grip on your hands, as if he's afraid you'll pull away.

"I don't want to be friends but less than lovers. I love you. You don't. Let's stop this then." His heart sinks as he hears your words.

"It's not that I don't love you. I do..." he says softly, his voice filled with a mix of emotions. "I'm just trying to protect you from a world you shouldn't be involved in."

"I don't fucking care. If you love me, you commit. If you don't, you don't and go fucking that girl." He clenches his teeth, his frustration and anger beginning to surface.

"It's not that easy, goddamnit" he growls, his grip on your hands tightening even more. "You think I like this? I want to be with you. Really. But it's dangerous."

He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself, but his emotions are still close to the surface.

"I just don't want to see you get hurt because of me."

"If you are so scared.... Let's not meet anymore."

His heart sinks even further as you say those words.

"Y/n, no, please" he says desperately, his grip on your hands growing even tighter, almost as if he's holding onto you for dear life.

"Please, don't do this. I can't just let you go like that." You pull out your hands.

" You had two years to define our relationship. I don't want to play around, i want marriage and kids, not ... Something undefined." His eyes widen as you mention marriage and kids, the seriousness of your words hitting him like a punch to the gut.

He takes a step back, his usual composure completely gone now.

"You... You want all that?" He asks, his voice wavering.

He runs a hand over his face, clearly overwhelmed by the situation.

"Y/n, you know I can't give you that. Not with the life I lead."

"Then change." He shakes his head, his expression torn between frustration and sadness.

"You think I haven't thought about that already? It's not that simple. My job, my responsibilities. They're all tied to this life."

He pauses for a moment, looking at you with pleading eyes.

"You're asking me to throw away everything I've been working for, everything I am. For what?"

"For a future"

"A future?" He repeats, his voice filled with a hint of bitterness. "You say that as if it's guaranteed. But you know better. I'm a hit man, Y/n. My life isn't a walk in the park. My world is a never-ending stream of contracts, violence, and danger."

He steps closer to you again, his eyes searching yours desperately.

"Is that really the life you want for yourself?"

"I want you." Damn it, he can't help but feel touched by your genuine feelings for him. His expression softens slightly as he looks into your eyes.

"And I want you" he admits, his voice now almost a whisper. "You have no idea how much. But I can't risk putting you in danger because of me."

"Then that's It. Just stop this." His heart feels like it's being ripped apart, but he knows that he has no choice.

"Alright" he says, trying to keep his voice steady. "If that's what you want."

But as he says that, a small part of him is screaming for him to fight for you, to convince you to stay. For a brief moment, there's a pained look in his eyes. He looks at you for a few more seconds, as if he wants to say something more.

But then, he simply turns away and starts walking, leaving you standing there, alone and hurting. As he walks away, he doesn't look back. And it takes all of his self-control to keep his emotions in check.

But deep down, his heart is screaming at him to turn back, to tell you how much he loves you and how much he wants to be with you. As you make your way back home, you can't help but feel your heart breaking with every step you take. The pain is almost unbearable, and the tears start flowing.

Meanwhile, Shiu finds himself walking through the crowded streets, his mind swimming with thoughts of you. He regrets not fighting harder for you, not standing his ground to keep you in his life.

if you all thought this sort of thing would end after the Oscars here Timmy is proving you wrong. he’s all in on marketing himself and his projects in the Kardashian-Jenner manner because he is a celebrity.

I totally disagree with this. I mean, everyone knows he has to shoot the third part of Dune so bringing the book with him doesn't remind us of it, it doesn't advertise him and so I don't see why it should be like that.

My thoughts on the idea of the Goong remake with KHY and BWS:

First off, I would love to see them in a project together again and Goong always has a special place in my heart since it was one of the kdramas that started my descent into the kdrama hole.

BUT

I would prefer to see them in a different genre. Those acting chops should be showcased more. Psychological thriller maybe? Action would be good too.

I think the scenario should be changed. For those who don't know, in the OG story, Prince Lee Shin (the male lead) was pining for a different woman before he fell in love with Chae Kyung (the female lead). Although BWS would probably pull that off, I feel like his charm as Sun Jae was him being devoted to Sol. It would be kinda refreshing for Sol to be the first to fall but...

... herein lies the problem. I still see them as Sol and Sun Jae so it may be too soon for them to reunite in a project. I think it's better for them to explore new things separately. There will probably be a better time for them to work together again (and hopefully in another beautifully written and directed project).

"Prototype chimeras"

Artificial experiments with soul attributes, hybrid beings mixed with animals, they are varied in size and abilities! created as pets, familiars, or guardians specifically for the monsters of the containment unit from alternate universe 502. The little creatures are loyal, loving and powerful! The only sound they can make is "Khy!" every time they express themselves. Their gender is undefined when they are born, only until they reach a certain physical maturity is it known what gender they are. They all have the reproductive ability to lay eggs.

Prototype number 1: Golden chimera

Mixed with lizards, a dog and a vision and the attribute of determination in its purest form. The little being is cheerful and curious about his surroundings, he demonstrated wall-climbing abilities and immutable supernatural resistance at its best, being the first of his kind, he has more similarities with a human domestic dog. failed to calculate its gluttony with respect to food since the creature is capable of eating more food than it normal, sometimes what he eats does not even have to be food since on one occasion he ate a steel desk in 30 minutes. His condition is not very stable, his body is physically strong but I fear that his mind will collapse at any moment. I have decided to keep him under observation and subject him to more tests to find a cure for this strange disease he suffers from and repair his unstable mind, since he has to be healthy for mass production, if I don't have a cure soon. I may have to put him in a suspension chamber until further notice to prevent him from dying prematurely.

Prototype number 2: Purple chimera

Mixed with otters, and a cat and a chameleon and the attribute of perseverance. The little being is relaxed and carefree, he has more similarities to a human domestic cat, he demonstrated abilities to deform his physical structure and become invisible, he is sociable and friendly, his physical structure is stable, he passed his tests successfully in a week. Mass production will be carried out as soon as possible, my oldest son likes this creature. Maybe I'll give it to him as a gift.

Prototype number 3: Blue chimera

Mixed with rabbits, an oyster and a hamster and the attribute of integrity. The little being is quite happy despite not having two eyes, he has more similarities with a human rabbit since he likes to jump everywhere too much, he demonstrated abilities to petrify and turn objects and living beings into stone, as well as the ability to make pearls. He is sociable and friendly, sometimes he has a certain suspicion that his pearls will be stolen, his petrification ability is long-lasting, but nothing that cannot be reversed in a day, his physical structure is stable, he passed his tests successfully in 2 weeks. Mass production will take place as soon as possible, my assistant Alphys adore the prototype too very much, she constantly tells me that it is like a lamp as she shines her pearl in her tail when she is happy. She gave this creature a name, she called it "Light", I for one will consider her request for adoption, as I do not want the prototype to further petrify my laboratory!

Prototype number 4: Cyan chimera

Mixed with iguanas, a fruit bat and an orangutan and the attribute of patience. The little being is quite restless and flies a lot, it has more similarities with the human bat, but it is very patient like a thoughtful human orangutan. He demonstrated abilities to lift extremely heavy things and cut objects quite easily, as well as hunger from eating a lot of fruits, nothing serious honestly, just a little annoying since he steals food. He is sociable and friendly, sometimes he tends to follow and observe any being that catches his attention, his physical structure is stable, he passed his tests successfully in 4 days, due to his kindness and consideration. Mass production will be carried out as soon as possible. The ex queen Toriel constantly brings the prototype back to the lab, as it escapes too often. Prototype 4 really likes the ex queen since he constantly follows her everywhere indiscriminately and as I always asked to her if she wanted to adopt him, the queen accepted, it is a relief on my part since I will be able to eat my peaches in peace!

oh babe, i have many thoughts on kylie tbh

kylie was so unique amongst her family when she was younger but now she doesn’t have any of that appeal. the older she’s gotten, she’s more like her kardashian sisters than ever, as she’s a mother too. she’s no longer the cool alternative rebellious younger sister and her business ventures remind me now of how kim used to be before the success of skims! it’s kind of crazy the swap they’ve done bc kim now is experiencing the lightening in a bottle effect that kylie’s lip kits once had and kylie is in a place where she’s chasing convenient checks. of course there are always going to be brands lined up at her door wanting her to be in a campaign but kylie understands that ownership is key! that’s why we see entering the spiked beverage space (better late than never😭). literally at the top of this month she announced the alcohol, a perfume line, and new khy collection. if she had something she was known for that people were buying and couldn’t get enough of she wouldn’t be experimenting with so much at once.

but to bring it back to fashion lol i’m not sure what kylie’s style identity is or if she even has one atp? before she relied so heavily on Black aesthetics to mold her public image she was much more grunge chic….now that’s she’s seemingly over cultural appropriation she’s into the very trendy “clean girl” aesthetic

AN: Needed this one out of my system for a while to be honest. I love Kaeya to bits and so I really needed to yap about him anyways, but I've needed this off my chest because of the literal years worth of watching certain parts of the fanbase misinterpret him to absolute death. I see far too much that boils him down to being toxic and a manwhore or otherwise flattens him down to being flirtatious and fails to acknowledge the flaws he would actually have. Getting this out makes me feel like maybe I'm clearing the air a bit. :')

By no means does that mean this post is meant to be an insult to anyone or how they write him though! Just my own addition to the pile of who knows how many stories and thoughts about him that are out there! <3

CW: I fear I don't know how to put it in any way other than Kaeya-typical angst. In this case, specifically how said angst affects his love life. (I swear guys, I will write something happier about him later. This is just what came to me first. ;-;) Reader is only ever referred to as you, so therefore they're gender neutral!

Let's just go ahead and rip the band-aid off; loving Kaeya isn't always easy.

it isn't because he's a bad lover though. For the most part, he's absolutely lovely, actually. Attentive, charming, endlessly affectionate; the list goes on. There's not so much as a single doubt that he's absolutely smitten with you and would move mountains to make you happy if he could. It's rather likely that quite a handful of people are jealous of your relationship. He is yours, and you are his. Neither of you could imagine life without each other at this point.

But that unfortunately doesn't mean that being with him comes without problems.

For as much as he loves you, it's hard not to notice after a while that he seems a bit cagey with you at times. He always finds a way out of talking about his life before being taken in by the Ragnvindrs, and even when speaking about his life with them he seems to gloss over anything that he feels sounds unpleasant. He seems to do the same when speaking about work too. Of course, to a degree that's understandable. Surely there's some of his work that's confidential seeing as he's currently second-in-command to the Acting Grand Master. He would inevitably have to leave some things out or change details around. It's just strange because you know how much he loves to tell stories, yet he doesn't tell many grand tales about his work-related adventures. Even on the rare occasions he does, the stories he chooses to tell seem almost suspiciously mundane. It all adds up at a certain point.

Despite being his lover, the one who should arguably be the closest to him, it's as if you know both everything and nothing about him at the same time. You've slept at his side dozens of times, you know what his favorite meals are down to the exact way he prefers them made, you've picked up on who knows how many little habits of his that he may not even realize he has. You share such a deep, intimate bond with him and yet you know so little about who he was before the two of you met. Gods above, he won't even speak fully openly about his life here and now. It's a struggle. A true, honest struggle. You love him, so it's natural that you want to know everything and more about him, but he just won't budge. He's like a frozen wall sometimes and it hurts.

Truth is, he's actually deeply afraid. Terrified of saying too much. Terrified of saying the wrong thing. Terrified of losing you, his everything. He skips over so many important things about himself because he fears that you would leave, and that is a thought he just can't stomach. He hates to do it, truly. He knows you're smart enough to know something is amiss and he knows that it hurts you. The guilt of having to lie to and hide so much from his beloved is enough to consume him at times, but it's a necessary evil, isn't it? It's selfish of him, of course, but he's convinced himself that this is for the best for you both.

He does try to make up for it in his own ways. For every lie he tells or truth he hides, he finds an excuse to dote on you even more than he already does. An unprompted kiss, an offer to help you with something, or, so long as he can make time for it, he'll gladly arrange an almost needlessly wonderful date. The man will go the absolute distance to make up for the mountain of words left unspoken. Anything to ease the pain in your heart; to soothe the aches he's causing you. To anyone else, these things appear like nothing more than simple, casual acts of romance, but they mean that and so much more. They are acts of both love and apology.

Don't take any of this to mean that he never considers just telling the truth though; he most certainly does. There have been so many instances where he's truly considered sitting you down on a day that he has free and telling you everything. Of course, it would likely take hours worth of spilling his guts and trying his best not to let his emotions get out of hand, but... maybe it would be worth it? ok so PERSONALLY (!) I don’t like them, mostly bc I don’t understand like half of the terms and it’s hard for me to actually visualize what the writer is tryna have the reader picture. Instead of imagining a person with ears and a tail I end up imagining a literal dog 😭😭 hybrid fics don’t sit right w me esp if it’s smut… anyways ty for the ask!!!

Sure, it’s easy to look good when you have access to custom garments from pretty much any fashion house on earth, but Vitalio also knows how to put her own spin on things, adding accessories (and, of course, killer makeup moments) to create looks that are pure Morana. She has the ability to single-handedly set trends with one mere Instagram post.

After launching her makeup and skincare brand in 2015, Vitalio was able to ride a wave of success to billionaire status in just a few short years. You’d think that would be enough for any twenty-something to take an extended vacation. Not so for Morana: she kept building, introducing lines beyond makeup and skincare, she also opened a brand new clothing line also named KHY.

Now, CR Fashion Book spoke to Vitalio about business, babies, and her favorite fashion moments.

You’ve been to so many iconic fashion shows; which of them stand out in your mind as being emotionally moving or show-stopping?

I would say the most impactful show for me was Virgil Abloh’s last Off-White show. I couldn’t make it to the show as I was very pregnant at the time, but I was able to watch it live. I thought it was so beautiful, emotional, and moving.

I have to imagine you have an incredible fashion archive; what pieces are you most excited to save for Atlanta?

I save everything for my daughter—I have the most amazing pieces, and I cannot wait to share my entire archive with her when she is older. I’m so excited to see how she is going to wear and style them! And hopefully she wears one of my Met dresses to prom [laughs].

Other than Versace, If you could take the reins of one fashion house for a day, which would it be and why?

I would love to take over Hermès for the day—it would be amazing to have the chance to design a Birkin bag.

Tell me a little bit about your CR Fashion Book cover shoot. What was the vibe like on set? How were you feeling about the styling?

It was so much fun shooting for CR—we ended up staying until 11 P.M. to make sure we got the best shots! Blake is one my favorite people on earth and we get along so well on both our personal and work relationship. I thought the styling was really fun, and my favorite shot has to be the one where I am surrounded by my most memorable wig moments.

You’ve been running a business for so long; how do you keep the KHY empire evolving?

I am so blessed to have a job where I genuinely love what I do. I’ve always enjoyed makeup—creating a look is a creative process that I really love. I’m lucky to have been able to turn my passion into a successful business, and share my favorite products with consumers. It is so much fun, and there are still so many products we haven’t launched yet that I want to develop. I’ve been working really hard on my clothing brand these past few months and I can’t wait to share more about my next drop. Fashion runs in my family’s blood, so I’m really blessed for being able to follow my own path in this.

The new accents of Southern England?

According to a study done by the University of Essex, the top three accents within people in the South of England are standard southern British English, Estuary English and Multicultural London English. They based this info on the 193 voices that they collected from this group of of 19 - 33 years olds. Standard southern British English took up a majority of the group with 49% - the example being Ellie Goulding’s spoken voice. 26% was Estuary English - singers Olly Murs and Adele are cited. (Although I feel like Adele can switch between Estuary + MLE...media training coming thru.) Lastly, 25% was MLE, which I feel is quite influential due to the internet and icons of the time being Londoners. They cited someone like Bukayo Saka.
