Hey folks!
Since I'm no longer able to do my former job (kid's mental health therapist) due to disabilities, I've decided to try to sell some of my counseling stuff in hopes of making enough money to, you know, live.
I've added more stuff to my etsy page, including new nature themed bookmarks and a Halloween one, (the eclipse one is , promise. I messed up the glitter glue on the original design so I'm not a fan but I'm doing another!)
Anyway, there's a whole lot of kids books, therapy games, puzzles, sensory stuff, and more on my ebay. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to shoot me a message!! I'm somewhat willing to negotiate on prices but a lot of this stuff I paid really good money for and it's high quality stuff in the field. Not to brag but I did really well with play therapy and neurodivergent kiddos (being neurodivergent myself) so there's a whole ADHD bundle that's actually tried and true for kids and stuff like that.
If you can't support, I totally understand. Even a share would help.

"I can see dead people." He mentions with a shrug, using the chopsticks to fish more noodles into his mouth.
Dick stares at him. "Huh."
"Is that why you help?" He asks, getting more spring rolls.
"Yeah. Once someone becomes a ghost, word gets out quick, and they come to me. Always tatling about unfairness and justice." The kid waves the words around, rolling his eyes.
Dick just pretens to he uninterested, despite his mind racing at the new info. He is piecing past moments together, every shadow leaping away, every note with tips, leads and—
Huh.
"Do you... like it? Doing all that?" Richard approaches thus carefully, brows furrowed at the kid opposite of him.
Danny moves his head, giving a 'so-so' answer. "It's not much to like, I can see ghosts, and they know it and use it. If it brings them to peace or whatever– well, that's just a plus."
Dick stares. He places his chopsticks down and looks at Danny worried.
In turn, the kid sighs. "Sometimes gifts become curses the longer you have it."
And Dick understands.
Mind made up, he throws a pair of keys at the kid, watching fondly as the other catches them with confusion.
"Next time use these, instead of entering through the window."
Danny mock-salutes with a shit eating grin. "Yes, Officer grayson."

For any kids:
You are not supposed to be afraid of your parents
You never deserve to be hit (not even lightly, not even if you killed someone)
No one has the right to touch you without permission, not even your family members, including your parents
Your parents can love you and still hurt you, that does not make the hurt okay
Adults you trust can still be wrong
It's not normal for everything to always be overwhelming
If you are having a problem with any of these things, do your best to talk to a licensed therapist (if they are licensed therapists they legally cannot tell your parents your personal information)
You deserve happiness
You deserve privacy
You deserve to feel good
You are not alone in your struggles
Your struggles are valid, no matter how small they are
You deserve love and kindness
You deserve to be surrounded by people who love you and care for you
Edit: lots of people are commenting saying that therapists can and do tell parents information about what their child says in therapy, the legality of this depends on your age and what type of information it is. Here is what the American Psychological Association says about it
Discussing confidentially with your therapist beforehand is a good idea so you know how your specific therapist feels, but it's horrible that that's something you have to do. You still deserve privacy as a child.
If you are in a situation where you can't tell your therapist something, please get the information out of yourself somehow. I recommend saying it out loud if you can even if it's just to yourself.
Failing that, write whatever it is down and get rid of the paper so it's unreadable if you have to, it's better than keeping everything inside.
