Back Again

Kida awoke to feeling of warmth on her face and a bright light shining through her eyelids. She felt oddly warm and comfortable. She slowly opened her eyes and saw herself staring up at a silk canopy. 

For a moment she just sat there and stared... but then the memories washed back over her and she shot upright. Wasn’t she just falling?! What as she doing in bed?! Did she somehow survive?! What about Galar?!

Without thinking she threw the comforter off her and and raced for the balcony. She whipped the balcony doors open and ran out to find that the red sky and deep purple clouds were gone. Instead, it was a bright, sunny day. Bird Pokemon were chirping, Bug Pokemon were buzzing, and there was not even a cloud in the sky.

“What...?“ She began to ask, but then a voice came from behind her and startled her nearly out of her mind. 

“Zamazenta bless us, dear Princess! Whatever are you doing out there in your nightgown?!“ 

Kida whirled around and stared at the voice. It sounded so familiar and yet she knew it couldn’t be so... but it was. When Kida turned around she saw her old, childhood Nanny running towards her with a dressing gown. She quickly wrapped Kida up in it, “You know it is indecent for a Lady to be seen in her nightgown!”

Kida stared at the Nanny. The woman was a kind looking woman with chestnut brown hair and bright green eyes. She was a rather kind, but overbearing woman that did not get upset easily, and in her youth, Kida had despised her for it. The Nanny had been her only servant who didn’t bow her head and avoid Kida’s eyes or give in to her every whim... and as a child there was nothing Kida hated more. As soon as she had made her debute into High Society she had fired the woman and banned her from the Castle... an action that looking back... Kida was ashamed of. But here she was...

The Nanny led her back inside the Sleeping Chamber to help her get dressed... and only then did Kida recognize the room - it was her old childhood bedroom. The white and gold furniture - the canopy bed with the pink blankets and stuffed animals... the marble fireplace against the far wall... it was the room she grew up in when she was still living at Motostoke Castle - before she had followed her Mother back to the Empire.

“But... I was falling?“ Kida murmured.  “What is that dear?“ The Nanny asked as she helped untie Kida’s nightdress, “I was falling.“ Kida said more assuredly. She turned around and looked at the Nanny, “A-and the sky was red with purple clouds, and the city - no the entire Kingdom was being destroyed by giant Pokemon and-“  “Shh,“ The Nanny hushed Kida with a gentle finger to her lips, “Calm yourself, Princess. Worrying like this will only give you wrinkles before your time. It was just a dream. Galar is not being destroyed, and there are no Giant Pokemon.“ “A dream?“ Kida murmured, “But it felt so real...“

The pain, the fear... everything. But wait... if she was here... then... 

Kida looked down at her hands and saw that they looked much smaller... much less worn down. Panic set in as the Nanny finished dressing her, and as soon as the Nanny stopped fussing, she broke away and ran to the closest mirror she could find... and what she saw both shocked her and yet, was somehow not surprising - the face looking back at her was her own... but from years ago. 

She reached up and touched her face. Her cheeks were soft and unmarred. Her hair was messy from sleep but not from all the abuse she had taken since leaving home. It was like everything that had happened really was a dream...

“Then my Father...“ She said softly.  “The King is waiting for you to join him in the Dining Hall along with the Queen and your Brother.“ The Nanny sighed rather exasperatedly, “That must have been quite the dream you had. Now come, let me brush your hair and make you presentable for the King.“

Kida hesitated. Her Father was... in the Dining Hall? He was alive? She was in Motostoke before Bryce took over? Before she had even left for the Empire with her Mother?! Had everything that happened really been a dream? No... it was too real. There was too many memories and too much time between then and now for it to have simply been a dream. Had she somehow gone back in time instead? There was only one way to find out...

Hi! im a rlly big fan of ur works and was just wondering if i could req a scenario w forgetful! reader? :D characters are: dazai, kunikida, akutagawa, and poe reader recieves a gift from them and accidentally missplaces it which stresses out reader and they tell it to them and they decide to buy a new one :D (also "they" is referred to the chars i mentioned) sorry if this is too much! dont forget to rest, drink water and stay hydrated! hope ur having a great rest of your day/night/afternoon :)

Dazai

Dazai always teases you about not turning work in on time, which annoys you a lot

Has a tally chart of every time you've forgotten something

He really gets on your nerves sometimes, but you try to joke around as much as you can

For your anniversary, he got you a beautiful pendant that matched his own

It was gleaming with a silver lining, a black ribbon to attach it, and your favorite stone in the center

You loved it so much and wore it every day

But, one day you were getting ready for work, and the pendant wasn't on your dresser

You had a little bit of a breakdown and tore your house apart looking for it

You gave up and sat in despair

Kunikida called a million times considering you're almost never late for work

when you heard a knock on the door, you assumed it was Kunikida until you got up close to it

"Oh Y/nnnn~ You're never late wassuppppp"

Oh

Shit.

You ran and hid back in the living room

"I'M DEADLY SICK GO AWAY DAZAI!" "wait wahhhh?"

As you hid under a mountain of blankets, waiting for him to hopefully leave, you heard your front door swing open

"You forgot I had a key to your place Belladonnaaaa!"

Suddenly the blanket was ripped off you and you were exposed

You looked up at Dazai as he blinked at you, waiting for you to speak

Tears immediately formed in your eyes as you stared at him in embarrassment

He got even more confused when you started profusely apologizeing

"I LOST THE PENDANT YOU GAVE ME, I'M SO SO SORRY OSAMU! I'M REALLY REALLY SORRY!"

You expected Dazai to tease you, or be upset, but instead he laughed

When you looked up, he was smiling down at you

"I figured this would happen."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out the exact same pendant from before

You looked up in amazement as he handed it to you

"I even took the liberty of getting a second one made, hehe."

You guys skipped work together after, and went on a cute little cafe date

Kunikida

He sometimes gets a little aggravated with your forgetfulness sometimes, but he tries to be as understanding as possible

He tries to help you remember stuff in a logical way, like helping you take notes or texting you things you need to remember

He does snap a few times, but does apologize immediately after each time

Kunikida got you a custom-made notebook to keep notes in, it was a darker shade of your favorite color, had lightly tea-stained pages, and had "Never fall" Written on the front

You would take notes in it and it honestly really helped your memory

You got to work early one morning to finish some work, you went to write something down and... Your notebook wasn't there

You freaked out, it was just you in the office, but in only a mere twenty minutes Kida would be there to start the day

You basically tore apart your desk looking for it (neatly putting it back together afterward)

You went through your office locker and your work bag. Even checking Dazai and Ranpo's desks to see if either of them had hidden it from you

In the middle of researching through your own bag, Kunikida came in for work

He noticed you over at Ranpo's desk and was a bit confused

"What are you doing in Ranpo's desk?"

His voice caught you off guard, making you slam your head into the metal desk

You laid on the ground in defeat as Kunikida came over to check if you were okay

"Please don't be mad..."

You explained what happened and how you really didn't mean to lose it

Kuni sighed as he picked you up off the floor

"I'm not mad, maybe a little irritated, but definitely not mad."

You went to the cafe while he looked for it, luckily Kunikida's ideals for the day included 10 minutes of free time for you

When you came up with Kunikida's coffee, the notebook was sitting on his desk with his own, he'd managed to find it

Akutagawa

He doesn't really care how forgetful you are unless it interrupts him

He does get irritated when you forget missions or to turn in paperwork, he has snapped a little more than Kunikida

He got you a beautiful feather pen for your birthday, it was the first really meaningful gift he ever got you

You wrote with it in journals and such to try to help you memorize certain things

But one evening, you forgot where you had put it.

You freaked out, worrying Akutagawa would be upset you lost such an expansive gift

You looked for almost an hour and a half before you realized it was gone.

At that time, Akutagawa came by your apartment to see what was taking you so long

When he opened the door he was met with you lying on the floor in defeat

"What's the problem here?"

You looked up at him as he was walking over, and just hid behind your hands

"..I lost your present."

Akutagawa stared down at you for a minute, whether trying to calm his anger; Or thinking about what to say you don't know.

He sighed as he started searching himself

"Although it was wildly expensive, I'm not mad. Let's just keep looking."

You stood up confused as he kept flipping over things

You walked up and hugged him from behind

"Thank you..." "Mhm, not a problem."

You both kept looking, but in reality, it wasn't even in your apartment. It was in your desk drawer at the office

Poe

Poe is very patient with you, he's also a slightly forgetful person so he understands that you're really trying

Poe tries to write you little notes and hide them throughout your desk to help remember importance things

He also checks frequently on you to see if you're doing what you're supposed to be

Poe wrote you a book of poems about yourself, it was a full book to the very last page

It was very indearing, and you read it to help you fall asleep

You had always kept it in your work bag, but when you when you went to take it out one day it was missing

You freaked out, starting to look through the whole office

You'd remembered putting it in your bag this morning so it has to be there somewhere

After about 30 minutes of intense searching, Poe came in to check up on you

"What are you doing my dear Y/n?"

You just couldn't lie to him, you sighed as he walked over

"Poe.. I'm really sorry. I lost the book you wrote for me. I know the cover was expensive, plus all your work is gone.. please forgive me."

Poe smiled as he grabbed your face into his hands

"My dear I have every one of those poems memorized by heat. And don't worry about expenses, it was only a meer 65,000 Yen. I'll forget that in seconds."

You chuckled as he hugged you tightly

Karl ended up having the book, and Poe read it to the both of you that night

So I was watching the disney movie Atlantis; The lost empire and thought that spencer is kinda like him in an endearing way. Maybe you could write something where he dresses up as him for holloween and Reader as Kira? 🙏😇

You were on your way to Penelope's Halloween party. Or the "Spookiest Bash of the season" as she called it. It was her turn to host it this year, and she'd of course made it themed.

Only Disney movie characters. Being the scaredy-cat she was she refused Dereks plead to change it. And your boyfriend, the rule follower he is, was now beside you clad in the least amount of clothing you think you've seen him in, out in public anyway.

Solely dressed in a thin army-green tank top, lighter pants and a satchel to match. "You know Spence, you don't look too different from your usual get up. Don't get pouty when Derek says something!"

"I-I look different!" he was looking down at himself judgingly, "And if Derek says anything I'll just point to my matching partner, you are what completes my look."

As you approach the front door you giggle, he was right of course, with your white wig, bright blue crop top and bohemian styled skirt you definitely looked in costume. Once he rings the doorbell, Penelope answers immediately, Derek and Emily close behind her.

"You're here!" She goes into hug you and you can practically feel Derek's playful insult on the tip of his tongue.

Surprisingly though Emily beats him to it, "Spencer did you even dress up? Cause I don't think its fair I had to dress up as the girl with Stockholm syndrome that fell in love with a unhygenic hairy beast and you're not even dressed."

Derek turns to explain at your horrified expressions, "She's Belle from Beauty and the Beast."

"And what are you?" You roll your eyes at his outfit, he's only wearing a brown loincloth and Penelope evidently is loving it.

"He's Tarzan." Her eyes track him and up and down before letting you two in, turning her attention to Spencer. "And they're right. Who are you?"

He grins, his whole face lighting up at being questioned, putting his little round, very real glasses on the bridge of his nose as he pulls you into him. "Why I'm Milo! And this is my Kida."

Those words recieve a chuckle from all of them as you begin greeting everyone else there, and Spence, out of character or not, has a new fact to tell to anyone wondering about his costume.

"Did you know that Milo wasn't supposed to be visually impared? The origional story board he doesn't have glasses at all! The director made the decision to add them because..." You swear every one knows more about the movie every time they speak to him that night.

And when it comes to picking the movie? Well it isn't a surprise when Atlantis is everyone's first choice.

I just finished episode 7 of Shou, and Izaya's phone call to Mikado is very interesting to me. He initially calls to antagonize Mikado, or at least it seems like it with how he criticized Mikado's response to the Dollars going off the rails again and his strained relationship with Masaomi.

But really, it seems more like genuine advice to me than most of the bullshit Izaya goes on about in the series. I'll be real, I personally think Izaya is more honest with Mikado than anyone else in the series. When he gives him advice, it feels a lot less manipulative than his "advice" for any other character. This is especially true compared to how he is with Masaomi. Every bit of advice Izaya ever gives Masaomi is wrapped in riddles or culminates in some sort of arm-twist to get him to do what Izaya wants. Sure, Mikado is part of Izaya's plan to awaken the head, but it seems like he has a vested interest in Mikado ultimately coming out on top. I wonder why that is? Perhaps the fact that Mikado is a direct parallel to Izaya himself within the high school trio? Izaya clearly sees himself in Mikado, and wants to support him in a way he probably didn't have when he was up-and-coming himself.

It especially comes through to me at the end of their call this episode:

"You're a good person, and that's something to be to be respected. But didn't you start the Dollars because you got bored of being respectable? An escape from the ordinary—isn't that your dream? That's why I'm worried about you. I said it before, didn't I? To enjoy an ordinary life, you have to constantly evolve. But that's definitely not something you should try to do by yourself."

Izaya ends the conversation by insisting Mikado call him by his given name, a sign of friendship and equality, and reminds him that he has lots of people in his corner—Anri, Kida, and him. It's especially notable to me that Izaya doesn't reference himself as an exclusive authority here, and even sites Masaomi (who doesn't get along with Izaya) before he references himself. If it were really a manipulative tactic to keep Mikado under his thumb, he wouldn't have suggested Mikado communicate with his friends about the problem. Hell, in the original run, Izaya's WHOLE PLAN was centered around these three NOT communicating.

What's also notable is how Mikado takes that advice. He thanks Izaya in earnest, and later reminisces how he used to think Izaya was sketchy, but he now believes he's nice.

Orihara Izaya is nice. To Ryuugamine Mikado.

I think that's kind of an important facet of Izaya's character, that he is capable of caring for others. He's just a little chosey about who in his circle actually gets that care.

do you realize how awesome that would be between a cybertronian and an atlanian having a few similarities ?

also I had a lot of thoughts that had me sort of stuck.

Like the beginning part of how the atlanians were trying so very hard to out run an explosion. Perhaps a little tie to Quintess? something must of had their attention that they thus gave knowledge to them but later something that caused their downfall, just like Quintess and his creations. perhaps that was price?

would the Cybertronians know at some point, be it accident or intentionally, they seek them out? Even if they had no tie to the primes, it would still be one within of Primal. though the same could be said in reverse. either way, who knows what they may have inhereted by the line. Scratch that, the Guardian would more than likely prevent them from going further but say they do get past the Guardian and they do come across an Atlanian and thus their broken home beneath the surface.

I had forgetton that the stone(?) defense does react to danger and does choose someone of royalty. I did forget about the part where Kida was chosen and thus looked... crystalized? like energon. but also could not be touched cuz you'd wind up being like them too.

I unfortunately do not remember the all parts, only bits and pieces of the movie so feel free to ignore this.

There had been some talk that other ancient civilizations had their own massive technological marvel wonders in that movie verse, so perhaps there's something in the legends and myths…

I can't help but to think of it in a universe where Earth-is-Unicron or Unicron-yielded-Gaea because 1) we all need to utilize that way more, 2) makes sense with all the chaotic fuckery on the planet, and 3) would make a lot of sense on how it managed to store/grow Energon without tipping off a nearest spacefaring civilization, seems to be a reverse Cybertron in its makeup (dirt, metal, and water), yet able to support Primus’ own creations if utilized correctly, and build on the connection between Earth and Cybertron.

We're cousins. We have to fuck around with it. Especially with the same idea that Cybertronians and humans are cousins to the Quintessons since those multi-faced, space squids are Quintus’ descendants.

So that would make so much sense why Atlantis’ mobile weaponry was modeled after sea creatures. The Atlantians are taking advantage of the squids’ natural predators for extra psychological damage.

Imagine if the Leviathan ship came after the Quintesson invasion after a lot of tinkering between mechanical and organic components? The Atlantic answer to Quintessons’ space whale transport.

King Kashekim's dying words gave us so many details of the Heart itself and how it's able to make choices. Look, if that doesn't feel like a divine instrument or a Primal Artifact, then I don't know what does!

As a timeline, we could put the Downfall after repelling the Quintessons. King Kashekim would have had access to greater tech compared to other ally civilizations at that point, who's to say he wasn't looking to expand Atlantis’ dominion, especially after a massive undertaking and decisive win?

As for being searched by Cybertronians, it would depend on the universe. It would totally revamp the G1 episode with Atlantis and TFP would have really fantastic world-building on sentient Artifacts, Optimus not being the last of the Primes, and delve into the impact of cultural/religious instruments and “who” could claim them. Could the Autobots take the Heart and doom the inhabitants to ensure Decepticons don't raid it? What happens if the Heart refuses to cooperate? It may be a Primal Artifact/Titan, but who holds its loyalty? The descendants of its creator, especially with an unbroken lineage, or a pure Cybertronian Prime?

Could they even get past the Leviathan in the first place? This isn't a submarine where a standard mech could punch through its hull. A Leviathan is a proper war machine on a galactic standard and capable of transporting the Cybertronians themselves. Would it obey Optimus or not?

There are so many directions this could go. It's fascinating!
