sam doesnt drink much, but when he does he talks. some nights its just complaints jess can barely make out in sam’s mumbling tone, while his head is on her shoulder or in her lap as she cards her fingers through silky brown hair and helps him fall asleep. but most of the time its semi coherent stories about his childhood. she listens, takes a seat next to him on their couch where there’s an empty twelve pack on their coffee table in front of him, and tries to understand what sam means when he talks about his brother and his father, and how he had to get away. he never explains why, just replies “i couldnt do that to dean. he did so much, i just couldnt put that burden onto him.” when she tries to ask why he had to leave. while he talks he looks at her nose instead of her eyes.

jess doesnt push, she knows hes drunk, and probably doesnt even know what hes talking about. but she wonders, what was so bad that sam couldnt tell his brother, and couldnt even tell jess after the fact?

New Roy Mustang HC where even though he used a Philosphers (I spelled that wrong) stone Post-Promised day, his eyes still stay that cloudy grey blind people have. He can see perfectly fine, even the military confirmed his 20-20 vision. but its still grey (probably not scientifically accurate but whatever) Now he plays the blind man when its convenient or for undercover missions and he wear shades to be intimidating.

the team helped train him while wearing a blindfold often so he can successfully do things without his vision, further solidifying his disguise. Riza probably got him blacked out glasses as a joke but he wears them constantly and somehow does not trip.

Missions be like:

Havoc: dude hurry up

Roy: at least inform me what's ahead?

Havoc: your fine, just keep going straight-

a random civilian: *sees a blind man pushing a guy in a wheelchair off the stairs* oh my god

a random civilian: *sees the wheelchair guy stand up and flip the blind guy off, only to be hit on the back of head by said blind guy* OH MY GOD-

I'd like to introduce to everyone this horrid thing I created about a year ago but haven't shown many people yet (probably for the best).

This is Baby. AKA The Monster. AKA Sight Tremendous and Abhorred, AKA Vile Insect, AKA A Thing Such As Even Dante Could Not Have Conceived, etc, etc. It's made from bits of scrap fabric I scrounged from various sources and is roughly the size of a human toddler. Its design is based on Mary Shelly's original descriptions of Frankenstein's creature.

But that's not all! Behold!

You can dissect this little abomination to reveal a full set of crocheted, knitted, and scrap fabric organs, all hand-stitched by yours truly!

It has a heart, stomach, lungs, liver, small and large intestine, kidneys, bladder, and, of course, a brain! So it can ponder the horrors of its own existence!

I used this pattern by Less Than Three for the heart. I ended up felting it because I screwed up most of the stitches (I was relatively new to crochet at the time). The result was a bit of a blobby mess, but oh well.

So yeah. This thing lives in my house now (my family hates it). I have yet to reap the full consequences of my hubris.

Dungeon Meshi Bangkok AU

A very self serving au made by me for me, it’s quite hard to translate because the references I used here are very specific (unless you’re ver familiar with Thai culture I guess)

Here’s some tidbits ~

1. Izutsumi and Tade in thai highschool uniform. (I used to wear it and thought it’s not as cute as Japanese or Korean uniform, but now it’s apparently famous among Chinese tourists? You can rent a uniform if you visit bkk i think)

2. Buddha amulet collecting is a very stereotypical old man hobby here so I think it’s fun if Chilchuck is into that. People here believe that you cannot own a charm, statue or amulet which have a Buddhist connection since they will eventually be back to its holy place (temple), so they use the word rent instead.

3. Cook to order restaurant is basically a small restaurant, sometimes just a cart on a pavement with some table and chairs, that make quick local meals like pad kaprow.

4. Rice soup is just one of my favorite comfort dish, nothing important lol. But there are some restaurants making rice soup late at night for drunk people to have a hot meal.
