Okay, so I know I haven't posted nothing for a very long time, but I swear I'm trying to make some things organized in my life, and also some writing projects to bring it up. So meanwhile I'm gonna let here a random thing a thought about Jungkook when I got a little 'delulu' with a tiktok video from him 🙂:

Jeon Jungkook is the type of boyfriend that when it stays for too long a way from your once you get together again, he won't leave your side ever again.

His big hands would hold your face, he would then have his iconic Bunny smile, and would keep repeating sweet things such as: "you're the love of my life!" And "my life is so beautiful!"

A Favor pt. 3

Part 2

As soon as I open the door, he walks right past me inviting himself in with no word, I roll my eyes and ignore his rudeness since I know Felix is more important. I follow behind, “You okay, mate?” he asks but hear no response “I, it’s his shoulder but it’s really bad” I inform him and hug myself feeling a little awkward standing there seeing how Felix is in silent cry. “He’ll lose conscious any minute, boss” I hear a voice next to me; I jump of the sudden presence, as I turn to see, “Lee Know?” I call out and see him standing in my living room, but I don’t remember opening the door for him too? “Y/N” he says my name as if he’s disappointed to see me, I frown and stare at him, he smirks at me as if he knew and was enjoying that I felt offended. I am about to question him, but his blonde boss speaks first “Take him to the car and tell Cha-, Spear B, to take him to Wang.” He orders.

Lee Know nods and does what he’s told, he carries Felix with one hand and helps him walk to the door, I hear Felix trying to say something but Lee Know just tells him to not overdue himself, I don’t hear the door close but I know they are already gone, leaving us both standing in silence “Is owing you favors some type of hobby of yours?” he asks in a fun tone. I shrug my shoulders and try not to smile. “I didn’t even know it was Felix in the alley when I hear-” “Wait what?” he interrupts me, “You approached Felix without knowing it was him?” he asks brutally. “Well, I saw him fall on the floor so I-” “And you thought it was a good idea to help a random stranger in a dark alley?” As soon as he said that I start to consider that maybe my actions were carefree “What if he was a drunk jackass, then what?” He scolds me as if he is my dad or as if we were close friends. “But he wasn’t” I want to defend myself, but at this point, he is right. “That was very dangerous Y/N” and the way he said my name, in that tone made me get so mad. “Wh-, I, y-” I couldn’t even form a simple sentence, “Just say thank you and leave” I say and point at the door. We both stand there in silence, and I can see how he is holding a smirk, which makes me madder.

He calls me out like if we had the confidence to talk to each other like that? Who does he think he is?

I see how he has no intention of moving so I walk to the door and slam it as loud as I can so he can get a note of me wanting him to leave. He takes a few more seconds to get to the door and he stands in front of me, I look at him directly into his eyes and just stare as long as he does. I also take the moment to admire his features.

The scares on his left cheek and forehead didn’t make him less attractive and it made me wonder if he knew he was attractive and how many times he has use that for his advantage.

“Have a sweet night Y/N” he speaks in a mocking tone, I stop fantasizing about his face and remember I want him out of my place, when I think he’s going to step out, he actually takes a step closer to me and takes my chin in between his hand and lifts it up a few inches “And thank you, baby girl” he says almost in a whisper, I feel my skin gets goosebumps of his sudden tone and I freeze in place.

I think he knows the effect this had on me because he has a big dumb smirk on his face. For a split second I gaze to his lips and then back to his eyes

“W-, have a good night, sir” I say but feel stupid as soon as those words come out, he doesn’t say anything about it and leaves. I shake off the sudden chills and close the door, I take a breath and walk back into my living room but stop in mid hallway to go back and lock the door. Not risking something else tonight.

I walk into the kitchen and remember I can finally sit and eat dinner; I look around and don’t see my plastic bag with the food. I close my eyes and sight. Please don’t let it be outside, where I think it is, I pray. I went back to the alley to only see the food spread on the floor with P and other of his friends eating from the bag. I sight again and give up for tonight and call it a day...

Only 2 days had passed since Felix, Lee Know and blondie were here, it was not as if I was waiting to hear from them but at the same time my mind would wonder for Felix. A knock on my door got me out of my trance of thinking of the boys. When I open the door, I see Mingyu with his big smile but is lost as soon as he scans me “Why aren’t you ready? Dude, we have 10 minutes to get there” he starts fuzzing at me. I give him a half smile “Because I can’t decide what to wear” I step aside to let him in, and we both walk to my room; he stares at my 2 options of tonight. “The black skirt witht the red blouse, that’s a new and I like it, now, go and change” He doesn’t hesitate to choose, I frown “What do you mean go change? Get out of my room, you go wait in the living room” I kick him out and start to change. I lastly put on my black loafers, re-checked in the mirror to see that my makeup was all good and step out of the room. He looks at me and gives me an approval nod, I try not to laugh, and we walk to the door.

I knew where we were going tonight, to that district 9 pool place we all really like, the pool place as in where Lee Know works, as in where I know I’ll see blondie…

I was feeling stomach sick all the car ride to the place, but as soon as we pull up to the parking lot, it got kinda worse and felt as if I needed to go to the bathroom. I don’t want for Mingyu to see I was going crazy, so I just start to take small breaths here and there. Mingyu opens the door for me, and I thank him, once inside, I start to look up to the second floor waiting to see blonde boy, but there’s nobody up there. I turn to the bar and do see Lee Know, I half smile “I’ll be right at the table in a sec” I inform Gyu and he nods. I walk to the bar and greet him “Hi, hey, Lee Know, am, uh, how’s Felix?” I ask in a whisper not sure why I didn’t feel confident asking from the start. “Uh, hey, mmm, he’s actually better, he’s in pain but will be okay” he informs, and I nod in silence “Oh, okay, that great” I say and we stand there in a uncomfortable silent “Okay, well, thanks” I say and turn to find my friends table, I scan the place and when I find them I walk to them excited to see them. “Hey, you” Jihyo waves and then pats the seat next to her for me to seat.

Every now and then I would peak up to see any sign of blondie or Felix. But in the hour I’ve been here, I didn’t see them at all, that was until I was at the bar ordering a round of drinks. “The boss wants to see you” Lee Know informs me as he makes the drinks, I look at him a little confused. Did I hear correctly? He lifts an eyebrow at me and rolls his eyes, then points out the stairs with his head. “Oh, like, right now?” I ask and he nods with a grimace. He tells me he can take the drinks to the table while I’m gone, I thank him and walk up the stairs crazy nervous, I feel the air colder the more I go up but at the same time I feel out of breath. As I reach the second floor, I gulp all my saliva, I felt as if I was in big trouble for some reason…

I look around and see a guy standing close to the wall, he’s already looking at me and I start to feel anxiety, I open my mouth to ask if I was supposed to be here like Lee Know said but he talks first “He’s in here” he opens a door I didn’t see until he half opened it, I walk to him and he opens it more “Thank you” I smile and he smiles back. Inside, it was a small office type room, there was a long in the middle of it with a few chairs around it, there was 4 people here too, Felix, the guy the call Spear B, someone I didn’t recognized and the blondie boss who I still didn’t know his name.

“Y/N!” I hear Felix call me with excitement, “Hey, how are you doing?” I ask heart warmed from his greetings, he stands up from across the room and walks to me “I’m better, still hurst but nothing pain killers can help” he explains, and I nod, I see he has a type of strap on his shoulder, I half smile and chuckle from the awkwardness I feel. “Oh, I, wanted to.” Felix mumbles something and starts looking around the room for something “.Here, this.” He gives me a small blue box “For you.” I take the box surprised “What is it?” I question and the brown head boy scoffs “Well open it and you’ll know” he says sarcastically, I turn to see him, and Spear B hits him in the back of the head. He complains about the pain and I try not to laugh. I turn my attention to the box and do as he said. When I take off the top, I see it’s a white piece of clothes, I take it out and realize it’s a cardigan, I exam it fully but I then look at Felix for an explanation “I know I ruined the one you were using the other night, the least I can do is give you a new one” he says and I felt my heart drop. “I mean, yeah but you didn’t have to, I, the cardigan was like 11 dollars but this one.” I see the Gucci brand tag on it “I, this is, you didn’t have to” I didn’t know how to tell him it was a sweet gesture but too much too. “Like he said, it’s the least he can do for helping him” the blonde boss speaks and we all turn to see him, he’s standing behind the table with his hands across his chest. Felix nods at me, I look again at the cardigan and just stand there with not knowing what to say, “Keep it, it’s a gift” he whispers in a sweet tone, I smile and nod “Thank you, it's, it is nice” I thank him, and I see his eyes sparkle; and again my heart feels touched. He nods and then looks at his boss, his smile fades a little and he starts to walk to the door. Spear B and the burnet boy follow behind and before Felix steps out he waves goodbye to me. I wave back and see him leave, I hear how his boss clears his throat to get my attention, I turn around to face him and wait for him to speak up. “The cardigan was on Felix, so it doesn’t count as the now 2 favors I owe you” I try not to do a facial expression at what he just said. Not the type to apologize I see. “Whatever you want, just ask and I’ll see what I can do” he unfolds his hands and walks closer to me. I start to panic inside and hold my breath “Just name it” he repeats. I start to feel pressured to say what I want to him, I try to say it, I have to at least try and risk making a fool of myself, I mean, I can say it in a way that if he laughs at my face I can backdown…

His gaze is so intense at this point that I just blurt it out.

“Diner” I finally say it, he tiles his head and I see how he was not expecting that answer “W-when I carried Felix to my place, I dropped my food, in the alley, s-so, you owe me diner” I explain, he looks down for a moment and then back at me. I tight the grip of the cardigan and just wait for the rejection.

“Okay.” He agrees “. Set the date, and I wll take you to a nice place” he walks to sit in the chair that’s placed right in the middle of the table. I see him sit down and look at me as if this was not a big deal. I open my mouth to say something, but I don’t even know what I want to say at this point.

“And your name, I-want to know your name” I also demand at this point, he smirks. He talks his sweet time to answer and just look at me.

“You can call me Christopher, baby girl” he finally gives me his name.

would it be wrong of me if I said that there has been a large and steady trend of like...the americanization of music?

I don't mean just America the country but like the contenent as a whole. maybe my musical library isn't broad enough but I feel like a lot of pop, rap, and electronic dance has very heavy American influence. maybe after a while things are bound to be homogeneous due to culture sharing, nothing really wrong with that overall, I just noticed that largely the beats and rythms are overall same same

take this with a grain of salt though, it's just a thought based on shallow observation, not really anything too serious

maybe I'm just more into the experimental flavors of vocaloid rather than anything super mainstream, though I think we do get same same sound in vocaloid too sometimes. interesting how it works out that way

Bang Chan x Reader

Summary: while having a night out with your friends, you end up saving a stranger's life from being drugged, but little did know you'd end up with a mafia member owing you a favor...

“Oh! look who showed up today" I hear Vernon say. I roll my eyes trying to hide a smile knowing he was talking about me. “Yeah, yeah don’t get too excited, I’ll crawl under my rock soon” I joke and he smirks. 

The thing is, I really do love going out with my friends, but sometimes work makes me too busy or too tired to meet them on a weekday night. 

“Wanna play this round?” Mingyu asks handing me a cue stick “Loser buys first round of drinks” he adds and I raise my eyebrow “I’m in” I agree and he has a big smirk on his face “You just digged your own grave man” he informs me, I roll my eyes again and playfully push him out of my way. “I’ll set” Mina starts setting the table with the pool balls in place, when she finishes, she asks if we’ll play one against one or teams. At the same time, I suggest teams and Vernon and Mingyu say one against one, “Why?” I ask confuse “Because you’re going to lose” Vernon says and Mingyu agrees “Excuse me?” I was outraged, I look at the 3 of them but none say a word, I saw how they were trying not to laugh at my face “Oh, okay, so that’s how it's going to be” I challenge them with a small nod to myself. 

But little did I know maybe 30 minutes after that, I would in fact be the loser... 

“I hate you, all...” I tell them as I walk to the bar for our drinks. “Hi” I greet the boy behind the island “So, you lost?” Lee Know asks as if he knew what was going on, but I wasn’t surprised. We were kinda frequent. They had good beer, good nachos and cute guys working here. I nod with a little grimace on my face, he chuckles and smirks “Give me a second” he tells me and starts serving a drink to the man a stool away from me. When Lee Know finishes, he looks at me “Six beers? he asks but I shake my head “Just four” I raise 4 fingers in the air so he can see in case he didn’t hear me. He nods and turns around to get them from the cooler. I wait bopping my head to the music and from the corner of my eye I can see the man aside me shoot a look my direction, he quickly takes something out of his pocket and drops it in the glass, he turns to my direction again, as if he was making sure I didn’t see what he just did. Lee Know turns to hand me the beers “Hey!” he says in a firm tone making the man jump “Go give it to the boss” he orders and the man nods nervously, I follow him with my eyes as he passes behind me to walk up the stairs that were on my right side. “Anything else?” Lee asks, I turn my attention to him and raise my eyebrows for a second “Nop, that’s all” I smile and thank him. I go back to the pool table and hand my friends their beer, “Free beer taste so good” Mingyu jokes after the first sip. We all laugh at his comment and I can’t help roll my eyes, again. As I did, my eyes stay looking up at the second-floor, it is right above the bar, and see a slim man with blondish hair sitting in a chair, talking to a black head boy standing next to him. I see the guy from the bar walking to him leaving the glass on his table. 

What were the odds of... 

I laugh to myself for the stupid idea that came into my head...yeah surely, he put some type of drug in his glass. 

“What are you looking at so intensely?” A wild Jungwoo asks popping out of nowhere, he blocks my view and follows my gaze, we were both looking at the blonde man “Oh, I see you” he slightly pushes me with his shoulder, I laugh and shake my head. “I think I zoned out” I lie and he smirks. Jihyo appears behind him and greets me with a hug. 

We all walk to sit in the booth and start a conversation to know how we’ve been, but then again, I look up, just to recheck I’m not sure what. He still hasn’t touched the glass.  

“Are you okay?” Jihyo asks in a whisper “Why the question?” I turn to look at her “You are foot tapping me” she looks down to our feet and I realize just then that I was stomping on her shoes “Shit, sorry” I apologize and she laughs “What’s wrong?” She asks again and I shrug my shoulders “I think I need to go to the restroom” I try to sound casual. They all nod and I go off. I walk slowly and look to the direction of the restroom and then the stairs, which were both on opposite sides of the place. I close my eyes for a few seconds. “If it were happening to you, you’ll like to know even if it’s a false alarm” I whisper to myself. I take a deep breath and just pray for the best. 

As soon as my foot touches the first step, Lee Know’s hand is on top of mine on the handrails, “Sorry, it’s private area” he uses a firm tone but not as the one he used before, it was a little nicer. A cold wave ran through my body, I debate on telling him what I saw or just make a run and act fool. I fake a laugh “I was just curious, to, see from upstairs” I point to the celling and he seems sense something weird. 

I’m not going to risk him thinking I am in crazy for saying bullshit like ‘hey, that boss guy you mention, yeah, he might get drugged’. 

“You can’t go up” he repeats. “I’m sorry” I apologize for what I’m about to do. And I know he knows it was not a ‘sorry it won’t happen again’ sorry. I shake his hand off of mine and run to the top of the stairs. “Shit!” I hear him curse. When I get to the second-floor I see a tall boy right in front of the door frame, he looks surprise and confuses seeing me, he’s also blonde and I stare at him in panic. He opens his mouth to say something but I feel a hand grip my arm from behind, I turn to see an annoyed and out of breath Lee Know. I try to take a step further in the room but the blonde boy stands in front blocking me “Let's go back down” Lee Know suggests and tugs my arm. “I, just, the thing is I saw.” I look around the room to see if I can find the guy from the bar and when I do, I point at him “Him, he was down and the drink he put something in it” I try to explain. Lee Know and the other guy look at each other confused “Don’t make me kick you out” Lee says again using a low voice. “I’m being serious Lee Know” I look at him straight in the eyes. 

“Lee Know” the 3 of us look at the direction the voice was calling him. It was the slim blondish man that was sitting in the chair a while ago, now he’s standing with the drink in his hand. “DON´T, DRINK THAT” I try to walk to him and take the glass away but the blonde boy once again blocks my path with his body. We stare at each other for a few seconds trying decode our intentions, and I notice his freckle face. A small chuckle comes from the other blond man and I turn to look at him. 

He’s maybe an average height man but is definitely taller than me, he’s dress in a nice black suite. “Why shouldn’t I?” he questions and raises an eyebrow at me. I notice a slight accent. “I, I, when I was down at the bar, he put something in it” I feel really stupid stuttering but this situation has me going dumb. “Something like what?” He asks walking closer to me, there goes an accent again. “I didn’t see what, I just know I saw he put something” I answer, the same guy from the bar takes a step closer to the accent man “Boss, that’s not true, she’s lying” he defends himself. 

With that answer now I know my crazy thoughts were not crazy after all. 

“I know what I saw” I state looking at the guy, he looks at me so pissed, he starts walking at my direction and for an instant I thought he was going to punch me in the face, I back up scared but the man they kept calling ‘boss’ stops him by being a body shield between us. “You sure there doll?” he asks me but is looking at the drug dude. “Y-yes sir” I confirm. He smirks and nods. 

Was he really believing me? or was he just playing along thinking I was a crazy psycho? 

“She’s fucking lying” he repeats and that comment makes me angry “I am not a fucking liar” I really want to punch him in his stupid face now. I hear a laugh from behind me and I guess it’s coming Lee Know. The suited man turns his body to face me and smirks again. “What’s your name?” he asks, I suddenly became nervous again “Y/N” I answer; There’s something about his aura that made him intimidating. 

He raises the glass in the air and he sinks in his right index finger. I frown not understanding what’s he doing, but then I see how his white nail polish turns to black. 

Changing nail polish? Oh. It’s the one that changes in contact with drug. He didn’t need my help from the beginning... 

“Guess Y/N is not a fucking liar” he smiles to the guy that did try to drug him. “SPEARB” he calls out and a wide shoulder, brown hair man steps out of nowhere “Walk him to the office, we need to have a talk” he tells him and the SPEARB guy nods, he passes beside me and I follow them with my gaze. “Thank you there, love” the blonde boss guy puts a hand on my shoulder to draw my attention to him “It-it was nothing” I say not actually knowing what else to say “Lee Know, her bill, courtesy of the house” he informs and I notice then his scare on his right cheek. “W-what’s your name?” I dare ask “Ah, you can keep calling me sir, I liked how it sound” he says but I can distinguish a mockery in his tone. I slightly nod my head and hear Lee Know call my name to follow him back down. He lets go of my shoulder and with his head he points to Lee Knows direction “I guess now I owe you a favor, baby girl” he whispers with a smirk on his face, he walks pass me and walks the same way SPEARB and the other guy went. 

I stay in shock for a moment trying to process the tingling feeling he left me with...

My top 15 kpop albums of 2023

It's been a year since I posted something. At this point, I feel I'm only writting to keep a record for myself of my favorites of the year. Still, if anyone cares to read this, know I've posted my favorite korean music and dramas of the year every year since 2016. First up, my favorite albums of 2023.

15. Heize-Last winter. I've honestly been in a Heize break for almost two years because I felt her songs started to sound too much alike but this album got me excited for her music once again. It has bearly been a week since it came out so I did hesitate including it but I think it portrays my favorite style of hers so at the end I was like "yeah, it deserves a spot". Forget me not feauturing BIG NAUGHTY's beautiful vocals is my favorite song of the album. However her title, a collab with 10 cm, is a close second. Picnic of the Night gives us a more uptempo beat and Chan's sweet vocals are so relaxing. I think I will be listening this album a lot in the next few months.

14. PENOMECO-Rorschach (Part 1). Ever since Penomeco entered my radar I have loved pretty much everything he has released. I do prefer his more chill music but this year he brought us more of his hip hop side and released two mini albums called Rorschach, both could have easily made my list but I think at the end of the day I like the album he released in april a bit more, and he does have two songs with Zico in this one, which did tip the balance for me. As I said, I do like his more layback music so my favorite song is Margiela feauturing Paul Blanco. The album starts with strong beats with Boy Pablo (2019) and stays on track with his title song Rindaman feauturing Zico. His other collab with Zico: Pew! is also a fiery song. As is Bubble. He slows down for his other three songs and they all are such a great listen.

13. TREASURE-Reboot. I think TREASURE has had really bad luck, from their delayed debut to the ups and downs lately. The thing is I've always prefered those groups I actually feel excited to listen to their whole albums and TREASURE has really delivered in all of them as far as I'm concerned. People keep saying YG is holding them back by making them have the typical YG songs like BONA BONA or STUPID on this album but since I'm a fan of those kind of songs so I really look forward to it. However it was the songs by their subunits I actually liked the most MOVE is just such an exciting song and THE WAY TO by the vocal unit is just my kind of ballad. To be fair listening to Jungwoo and Jihoon sing is such highlight for me on all of their songs. I just love their tones.

12. Taeyeon-To. X. 2023 was a year where I really got into Taeyeon's discography. So I was really excited for this comeback. The title To. X is a fun midtempo break up song. I would have liked Melt Away more as the title but I did love both songs. This is also a recent release so I moved it up and down in my list a lot. I'm also having a hard time picking a favorite song. I also enjoy listening to Fabolous with the quorky beat and witty lyrics but I think I actually liked all the tracks equally.

11. VIXX-CONTINUUM. VIXX has changed a lot over the last few years but somehow this album with only Leo, Ken and Hyuk sounds very much like VIXX used to sound in 2015. They really stand on their own and all of their voices are amazing. However I've always had a soft spot for Leo and his vocals in Lilac are just heavenly. Probably why I love that ballad so much. I was actually surprised with Hyuk's low vocals that give a needed twist to Leo and Ken's power vocals. All five songs in this mini album are so good. The title is Amnesia and the MV aesthetic is obviously inspired by the movie Dune.

10. NCT DOJAEJUNG-Perfume. This release kind of blind sighted me. I never thought Doyoung, Jaehyun and Jungwoo would come together in a subunit so in that sense they reminded me of the time I heard EXO CBX was debuting. I really love the title Perfume. It's one of those rare times the title is actually my favorite song of the album. I thought they would do a ballad for their title but the fact it was an upbeat sexy song was unexpectedly right. Doyoung is my favorite NCT vocalist so listening to him this whole album was such a joy. Jaehyun's vocals can be a bit overlooked in NCT127 just because Douyoung and Taeil are so amazing. Listening to him have more time in this album to shine was exactly what I wanted. I love Jungwoo's personality and honestly I was afraid he would get a bit lost in this album but my worries were unnecessary. Often I found his low notes were that little bit of spice the songs needed in this album. I loved all the bsides but Dive and Strawberry Sunday were specially a fun listen. And of course they had to do a traditional SM ballad (Ordinary) which is just beautiful.

9. D.O.- Expectation. I'll never stop wishing for EXO's Kyungsoo to do an r&b album but his heart is in easy listening heartfelt songs so I can't complain. I'm just happy to get anything from him as a solo artist. This mini album has so many pretty songs. I do is my favorite hands down and one of my most played songs of the year but Lost (both the acoustic and the regular version) is such a fun song to listen to and could have easily become the title. The vocals and the melody are so powerful. Ordinary days and The view also have a fun melody. The title Somebody is really catchy and the MV is so sweet.

8. TXT- The name chapter: Freefall. I have to confess I haven't gotten into TXT's content. I just came to like them gradually in the last couple of years and there was so much to catch up on that I haven't really get to know the members at all but the albums are a different story. Deep down is my favorite of the album but Happily Ever After is also a highlight. The title Chasing the Feeling gave us a fun retro beat and the chorus was really addicting. I also found Skipping Stones to be an interesting song. Love the guitar and bass on that one and the vocals by Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huaningkai are just heavenly. And of course the collab with The Jonas Brothers was a bit unexpected yet exactly what I didn't know I wanted.

7. Zion.T-Zip. This was almost out of my list because I just listened to it a week ago, but I had to add it. Zion. T is just so unique and entertaining to listen to. His collab with AKMU called V is my favorite. But as expected, this is a no skip songs with great use of instruments, beats, vocals and occasional rapping. He even released three MVs for this comeback (Stranger, V and Unlove). The album is 10 tracks long yet only sums up 26 minutes. Thank u featuring Yun Seokcheol is also a highlight.

6. V-Layover. To be honest, I was not excited for V's solo stuff. I was expecting a lot from Jungkook and Jimin but not from him. I don't know why. So it was so surprising when I actually wasn't excited with the songs they released but I really loved V's album. It's my fault really because I do tend to overlook Taehyun's vocals when listening to BTS. The sound he went for it's exactly my kind of music. Layover just feels sophisticated. Blue is definitely my go to song with its fancy r&b sound and Love me again has my favorite beat of the album. Slow Dancing is so sweet and For us takes you in a journey. The album is only 5 songs but from the first listen I knew it would make my top 10 of the year.

5. NCT 127-Fact Check. For me, this is the first NCT127 no skip album. I liked LIMITLESS a lot but even that one has a couple of songs that are just not for me. NCT 127's titles are either a huge hit with me or they rub me off, this time around I found Fact Check so addicting. I love Space's melody but Misty is my favorite overall. Everyone's vocals are on point but Taeil is such a wonder to listen to on that one. Love is a beauty is also a great ballad. Parade might be a hiphop heavy song but Doyoung's beautiful vocals really stand out to me. And Angel Eyes gave me a bit of NCT U's With you vibes. I love Mark's parts in Je ne sais quoi then again everyone sounds so good in that song.

4. Taeyang-Down to Earth. Taeyang came back with a bang. Every song on the album feels so big. I wasn't a fan of the title VIBE featuring BTS's Jimin on the first listen, but it really grew on me. The chorus just pops in my head from time to time out of nowhere. Shoong featuring Blackpink's Lisa is amazing, and the performance video is crazy good. Seed is the power ballad of the album. Nightfall featuring Bryan Chase is also a highlight with its retro pop beat and beautiful vocals.

3. Taemin-Guilty. The void Taemin left while he was in the military could not really be fulled by anyone else. He's just different. And yes, a lot of it is the performance but the music always comes first. This album is only six songs but they all are so good. Not gonna lie, the first time I heard The Rizzness I was confused because the strong beat and rapping surprised me. I didn't know if I liked it but it really grew on me after hearing it a couple of times. I'm obsessed with She loves me she loves me not and its playful melody plus it's definitely my most played track of the album. Not over you and Blue takes us in a dreamlike journey.

2. Red Velvet-Chill Kill. I was surprised to realize this is the only album from a girlgroup I liked this year. I even forced myself to listen to some albums of the most popular girlgroups right now but it's just not my kind of music. However this album is straight up my alley. A Velvet R&B album. I hadn't enjoyed a Red Velvet album so much since The Perfect Red Velvet. My favorite Red Velvet comebacks are always the one with a creepy twist so Chill Kill was on point with that strong beat paired with a sweet chorus. Knock knock (who's there) is a seemless follow up to Chill Kill. Underwater is one of my favorites for sure but these days I keep going back to Nightmare. Iced coffee and One Kiss have catchy chorus while Wings is uplifting with beautiful vocals.

1. EXO-EXIST. My Spotify Wrapped top 5 songs belong all to this album. It's actually the first time it happens. Despite me being an EXO-L, some pop or indie songs are usually in the mix, but I guess I missed EXO. They just did all the things I love in an EXO album: r&b, beautiful harmonies, and fun beats. I keep changing my favorite song of the album. At first, it was Regret it just because the production is so great. Then I was like, actually, all the falsetto and runs in Cinderella makes it my favorite. Yet I kept feeling No makeup was the perfect r&b EXO song, so I thought: that one for sure! But of course, the title Cream Soda is so catchy, and the chorus is expectacular, so obviously, that's the one. Nevertheless, Love fool is so much fun to listen to, and I do love Sehun and Chanyeol's verses in Another Day. Then why is my most played song of the year Let me In? And what about Hear me out that makes me happy every time I listen to it? Don't even get me started on Private Party's lyrics! Anyway, you get the idea, so just do yourself a favor and check out this album.
