Batboys current ages:
Dick 27-29: His first phone may well have been the first iPhone. He also would have had most of the models of iPod. In his very early teen years people still used digital cameras. He would have been very active on Facebook and probably played facebook games with his friends (does anyone remember that gardening game on facebook?). He also would have played online games (www.friv.com would have been constantly typed into the browser). He also would have begged Bruce for an Nintendo Wii, really emphasizing all the sport games you can play on it (like we all did with our parents - mine didn't fall for it). Also always had the newest Game boy and played a lot of Mario Brothers. He also would have gotten a Playstation Protable.
Jason 19-21: He may well have gone through a minecraft phase when he was 11-13. He also would have had an early iPad growing up (those early ones were HEAVY) and probably used it to play that tombraider game (the one where you run and collect coins and it steadily speeds up while you dodge obstacles) and subway surfers. He has facebook and used it a little when he was younger but doesn't use it all now. He played with Dick's old Gameboys growing up but also had the newest Playstation Portable models.
Tim eternally 17: Definitely has a Nintendo Switch and got super into Animal Crossing (at least briefly). He also had to have an iPad for school. Fashion-wise he wouldn't be caught dead in skinny jeans. He doesn't have Facebook. He nearly fell for a lot of the TikTok conspiracies and if it hadn't been for his fact-checking nature combined with his access to the Bat-computer resources he would have fallen for at least one of them. He has a mac laptop and an eleborate gaming pc set-up at home.
Duke 15-16: Not so different to Tim but he is a little obsessed with Dick's/jason's collection of old Gameboys and Playstation Portables. They let Duke have them. Duke and Tim also mess around with Dick's old digital cameras (Tim is immediately disappointment by the quality - those digital point and shoots were not great - and looses interest. But Duke thinks they're fun)
Damian 11-13: Has his iPad and phone within spitting distance at all times (excluding missions and patrol obs). He uses his iPad to draw. He has all the newest electronics (mainly because everyone else at his fancy school has it all and he see's it as a status symbol, refusing to be thought of as lesser).
(I haven't included Playsation models in this because I'm not familiar and my light googling wasn't helpful enough. But they all would have had the newest Playstations corresponding to their ages).

- even though he literally has a phone he likes connecting his airpods to his school computer and playing spotify from there
- he’s the one who found monkey type but he can never beat heeseung’s wpm 😖

Oh wow! I wasn't expecting you all to like the mcd sona so much!!! But I'm so happy you do!! Thank you to everyone for the compliments and have a garroth in return!
Tumblr media
(I just got my laptop back so I'm relearning how to render on csp bare with me lmfao)
Also!! Some of you showed interest in me making a minecraft roleplay of my own!!!!! I'm posting about it day to day on tik tok but!! If yall want to hear about it here I'll make posts!!
So under the cut has some info on that in the mean time! To see if anyone has any intrest ^^
I do not know what to call it rn so it has the temporary name of 'Villiage Tributes' which I hate but I suck at titles lmfaoo
Character design stuff and their info is at the bottom for now I'll talk about what I know I want video formatting and general universe lore wise ^^.
Video Format:
-whole the main focus will be on the storytelling there will be some just general playing minecraft aspects! Like the getting materials and building, because I liked a small amount of those ya know! And no one includes them at all anymore. :(
-audience feedback will be a HUGE part! Mainly in things like end pairings and junk so long as it doesn't compromise the writing ^^
-while the main medium will be well-minecraft lolol, I would want to have some scenes/ Intros be done with art/animatics!!! To make up for some parts where minecraft may lack the proper ommf lmfao (like when a important character in introduced the first scene will be drawn to better show off character designs and junk!
Universe Lore:
-it will be kind of a skyrim kingdom build- where there is a major central city and leader, and a bunch of regional lords as well, maybe like a council thing? Oh?
-there are currently 3 major love interests! (For the mc) they will get individual posts but here are just the uh, biggest tropes? With them?
-Guard x Noble (come on i- how can I not?? Mcd or not it's necessary for medival fantasy come ON)
-Flirt Hopeless romantic x oblivious (it's cute trust me)
-Villian x hero (i- come on come ON)
Also!!! There's a possibly poly options!!!! (Not with the villian so sorry lads)
-this is taking place directly after a giant Civil War for the rights of Animal and Magic Folk! So the world we enter in is currently recovering and rebuilding and has gone through MASSIVE social and legal changes!
-we won't be originally starting off in a village! We will be starting in something more of a camp/ settlement? And ontop of everything we will be going through the process of getting it legally recognized as a village!!
Character designs and some info!
Mc
Tumblr media
Yeah, I know, I never promised I wouldn't be cringe. Most of
Name: Mello
Pronouns: Any/ all
Powers: under construction
Most of the backstory is top secret for now lol.
Fun fact:
-Stims when upset by frantically tapping a finger against her palm
Love intrest 1:
Tumblr media
(He is getting a ref remake because I did this on my phone and on a day where I just could- NOT draw for the life of me!)
So! This is getting way to long- so I will make follow up posts if yall want so!! Let me know! I'd LOVE to chat about it! There is so much work I'm doing all the time and I have so much lore

Chia Jasmine Ivy
chia ⇢ what’s an inside joke you have with someone else?
These are hard to think of on the spot, although I'm sure I've a lot of them. How about an unspoken rule instead.
So, for this example, I'll use Minecraft, but this applies to anything and everything. Deo dies a lot. He'll lose all his fancy supplies, the diamond pickax and armor. The cobalt hammer. Three full squares of food. All the time. We just shrug it off because it's normal now, however... if I die once, he will come to my aid and help me replenish all my shit because otherwise, my mood will destroy everything. I never die. I always mass produce food and supplies and like to dig and build and I'm really good at avoiding fights, so I usually die from sudden creepers, and even that's rare. (We always play on survival. It's too boring otherwise.)
How it applies to other things:
Deo - computer crashes and he loses all his information and games, etc. "Darn. So you're going to be spending the next day or two getting it all back?" Said nonchalantly.
Me - my computer goes to sleep once (which is actually an issue, it doesn't like to wake up and I'll have to restart it.) Deo drops everything and is on standby until I've restarted the computer and confirmed I didn't lose anything or it's not going to be a happy day.
So I guess it's kind of an inside joke. Deo's so used to losing his information or dying, it's not a big thing, but I almost never lose any, ever, so me losing even that one paragraph I just wrote before the laptop went to sleep is such a monumental loss in comparison. I kid you not, the amount of full information restarts Deo has gone through on the regular is unfathomable. He just recovered from one four days ago because he's "mad at Windows". I don't know what this means, I just know it's a minor inconvenience. (Constant, but minor.)
jasmine ⇢ do you have a movie or book you loved but will never watch/read again?
An Olsen Twins mystery adventure that I read growing up. It was about as long as a Goosebumps book and I remember really liking it, but even back then it was a guilty pleasure. Now, I don't even remember what it was about and I can only imagine it being stupid and annoying. (Sorry not sorry.) I still have my favorite Goosebumps book though, and actually read that some time in the past 2 years. Just as good as I remember. ^^ (I Am Your Evil Twin by the way, in case you were interested.)
ivy ⇢ what are your ‘tells’ for your emotions and moods? how can someone tell you’re happy, annoyed, upset or tired?
When I'm happy, I'm usually more chatting. When I'm upset, I'm more short and curt because I don't want to talk to anyone. Tired, I'm more likely to ramble or unable to focus on one thing. (So online I'll probably go from chatting to watching something and completely forget I was having a conversation with someone. 😅 Different from avoidance, which I do for almost anything.) Annoyed.... I probably look like I want to talk just so I can agro out for a while, where I just want to raise my voice and talk hatefully about the thing that upset me. That's more extreme annoyance. If I'm just slightly annoyed, I'll probably do whatever I can to deflect whatever's annoying me, either by trying to include someone else into the conversation and then changing the subject and then switching to the other person. (This happens at work when an annoying coworker talks about annoying things. Very easy to "mistakenly" include someone else into the conversation as we're always walking around doing something.)
Thanks for the ask, Hailey.
Ask thing.

What type of games is your dad playing
This might be hard to find out for you, but for a bunch of older-generation videos and Pc gamers like us is very simple. We give the top 5 genres for every kind of Dad. Mobile games are not included. We include also games you can connect with your Dad.
Yes, everyone is playing these free games and we love them. We will not be talking here about Fantasy Football. There are big e-sports competitions all around the world and actually, millions just like to watch other people playing like a football WorldCup. The most popular games this time right now are Ego shooters like Fortnite. The game has a healthy population of between 2.9 and 4 million users playing Fortnite on a daily. Many Kids have permission to play it because of the cartoonish style. Is still a shooting game .....
Warzone alias Modern warfare, alias Call of duty is popular since the PlayStation 2 era. In a time when the PS was grey and in this time very affordable in every household. They just remake it for every platform with a new story. Most Dads at this time have their best time and might unite back with their old clan. There are also Overwatch, Apex, Destiny 2, Warframe., Pubg, and Counter-Strike.
For more strategy or roleplayer genre Games we recommend Dota 2, Star Wars the old republic, and Diablo Immortal. There are many more but they are the most popular with lifetime never-ending updates.
All of these games are free to play but in-game purchases are very common for this kind. More resources, a new weapon, or just a season pass... you name it. Unfortunately, they are not all on the same platform. It might be Steam, Xbox, PlayStation Store,
The beauty of the genre is that you use your brain and imagination. They are stress relieving. Every good action game adventure has its own character of fascination, The landscape and some NPC are perfectly detailed and just beautiful, and the battle system is perfectly balanced I will show here some games every dad like to play or is at least interested in it.
God of War. This game is going far back in the past on all PlayStation platforms. The story follows Kratos, a Spartan warrior and later the Greek God of War, who was tricked into killing his family by his former master, the original Greek God of War Ares, and later Zeus himself.
Now the God of war is back and he has a son now you don't know that his father a god is. It's a beautiful Father and child bonding story just a Dad would understand. Trust me on this. You don't have to play the first 3 games of this genre, there are more hack and slay. However, I recommend playing or owning first the God of war game which is about 1000 years after the trilogy for about 20 bucks, and then the newest God of War Ragnarok where their adventure continue.
Eldering
Since the game launched not so long time ago, most of them agree that it's beautiful, detailed, and absorbing, but intimidating for newcomers. While critics seem to concur that it will stand as one of the best video games of the year, The main reason for Elden Ring's initial popularity was how difficult the game is. Not only are the battles incredibly challenging, especially with some of the game's most ferocious and deadly bosses, but players are also punished significantly if they die. This game is for hardcore gamers and is best with the Dark soul games years back to the mirror.
we make this game our top 2 number two because is very simple to play together online. In Roblox, each player can create games and maps for other people to try and play, making it a challenge in and of its own.
There is for every genre something. The requirements to play online are minimal, works on a laptop with no graphics card and android systems. You just have to create an Account with 2 different Email addresses.
It is the perfect game for Dads to start connecting with their Kids. Just try it out. There is also an in-game purchase available called Robux.
With over 238 million copies sold, according to Mojang, Minecraft is hands down the best-selling game in the world. For a game to achieve over 100 million copies sold is a momentous feat that only a tiny handful of games have accomplished, and Minecraft has rocketed past that into significant milestone after milestone.
and besides, that is like Lego in digital. And Lego is for every age, Studies have found evidence that video games can increase processing speed, cognitive flexibility, working memory, social skills, and problem-solving skills. Hands up it is the best long-term game for dads.
Hope it was helpful to everyone. There is much more content to check out on Fatherlygifts
Every comment would make us happy. Subscribe for the new content.

15 days...
We got officially approved for the apartment!!! I can't wait to start my life with you! I only wish I could enjoy the excitement more, he's making things so difficult for me here.
I hate his days off. He accomplishes nothing, is making no progress towards the move at all, and he's now making it incredibly uncomfortable for me to be around. I feel banished to the bedroom. And it's not like he's spending quality time with the kids. They played minecraft all day yesterday.
He keeps trying to start fights with me, too. Got all pissy when I interrupted his guitar playing, snapped at the kids too. He kept saying he needed to write his new song so he could get on the radio and be famous. *rolls eyes* he's not that good and nowhere near dedicated enough but whatever. Then he was trying to start shit when I was telling my daughter we should cut a few inches off her extremely long hair because she was having a hard time getting a brush through it. He used it as an opportunity to throw digs at me about not having trimmed the dog's nails. When I reminded him that I've asked him to find the clippers or buy new ones for months, suddenly he knew exactly where they were and threw them at me.
He went out and took a coworker out for drinks. I asked him to let me know when he was leaving, and he did not. Of course. I'm over it. If he wants to make things ugly, that's fine. I'll stay in my room and work on trio stuff and read my book or go out to not have to deal with him. I won't be drawn into the drama. I had to take my laptop out of the living room because he was setting drinks on it so I took the rest of my things out of there as well, including my good chargers he's been using. I'm so over it... 15 days.
You had a rough day yesterday, too. Bad dreams and tension with your wife combined with a bunch of recent triggers around your ex had you not okay. I hate seeing you struggle like that. I am so grateful you called, and we talked about it. It seemed to help you, at least a little. I can't tell you what it means to me that you come to me when you're not okay, that you trust me and confide in me, that you lean on me and allow me to lighten your load, if only just a little. It also allowed us to talk a bit more about the coldness and distance I hadn't expected from you on the trip. We even came up with a safe word for when you're struggling with it, so I know and am not left wondering what I did wrong. In all things, you're so considerate and good to me. I hope you feel the same. You put such a high priority on balance, but you always seem to do so much more for other people than they do for you. I don't want to be among them. I want to show you the kind of love you show others, thoughtful, considerate, going above and beyond to make them happy and cared for.
Offering myself to you was the best decision I've ever made, and it's been so much more than I realized it would be when I did. I keep coming back to the concept of worship because it's the closest thing I can find to what captures it. Being yours, I've become so wholly dedicated to you, to your path for me, for us. It's not just some infatuation and excitement about the sex and play (not that I'm not incredibly excited about that, too)... it's the deep bond, the dynamic between us, the fact that you've already done so much to EARN my trust and devotion. I thought I knew what it meant when people spoke of Doms earning and being worthy of the submission they're given, but you take it to a level I had never dared to even dream.
I've been molded before into the type of sub my Doms wanted, fulfilling their fetishes and desires. It's different with you. You're molding me into a stronger person, healthier, more capable, and confident. You're pushing me towards MY goals and dreams and fitting them into your own. It astounds me. I've always felt like the lifestyle meant more to me than to a lot of other people, that the dynamic I craved was rare, if not a thing of fantasy altogether and here you are, exceeding even that.
So yes, worship it is until I find a better word for it. To the absolute best of my ability, I will show you the devotion and dedication you so deserve. I will forever seek perfection in my service of you, will always work to further your plans and goals, will strive to always deepen our bond and connection and cherish the life you've given me. I will not squander the opportunities and guidance you provide, nor will I allow our balance to go unchecked. I will forever seek new and better ways to provide for you a submission worthy of your Dominance. A love that rivals your own.
Thank you, Sit. My gratitude knows no bounds.

11. A song you associate with a specific time in your life
C418 - Living Mice
youtube
Absolutely massive toss up between this, Clark and Mice On Venus. But I chose Living Mice because of a very specific memory. I must have been about 8 or 9 and I was sat on the sofa at a friend's house, it was Halloween night. Me and two other friends (one of whom I'm still friends with now, amazingly) had just got done playing some Minecraft on the Xbox and were eating some food made by one friend's mother. We had paused the game, but back in the old Xbox days that didn't matter to Minecraft and it played this song. I have absolutely no idea why it stuck with me, but this memory of being sat there with my two best friends at the time, just enjoying ourselves and eating has engrained itself into my memory so deeply that I don't think I can ever forget it. I can describe almost every detail of that night with great detail, and I'm pretty sure I even have a picture somewhere that immortalises the event. Absolutely no idea where it is, but I'm pretty sure it's safe. There's another memory I have relating to this song as well, probably very shortly after or before the Halloween I heard this song on. I was playing Minecraft on my shitty Windows 7 laptop one evening, maybe around 6 P.M as it was still light outside, but the sun was setting. I built a floating pirate ship on a superflat creative world with Iron Golems inside and was just messing around with different items in the creative inventory, discovering new things including fireworks. I believe they were just added to the game at the time, and since they were added to the game in December of 2012, I can probably put this sometime in the summer of 2013, putting me at 8 or 9. This song played with me just flying around the creative world, watching mobs spawn as the sun went down. Yeah. weird song. does weird shit to my child brain. i should listen to this before exams or something

Playing Minecraft
First time experience playing a video game!
Video games have a history of conflict with the idea of it being art. It is said that video games aren't considered an art form because it is immersive. It takes away from the creator's skills and focuses more on manipulating the consumer and giving them control. But video game designers are responsible for using computer animation tools to create all visual aspects of the game, including the artwork, environment, characters, and other aesthetic attributes. They are creating something much more complex, there creating an environment for others to be creative, and artistic, and to open their minds allowing them to be inside the art, augment their reality and enhance their everyday skills, inside of the creator's fully developed art.
Minecraft is considered 100% art with both the game and the things created within it. It’s built for the consumer to explore creatively and build something unique, it offers a great deal of freedom and increases many different cognitive and social skills. Unlike other games where players perform repetitive skills to unlock the next level. Minecraft was first created in 2009 by Markus Persson also known as Notch and the game was originally called Cave Game. What made this game different was that instead of simply creating structures you had to also gather resources to build those structures. It was made for consumers to survive, craft, and explore the randomly generated world. Many video game creators take inspiration from this game and the freedom it has.
Tumblr media
I have never played videos for my own entertainment, although I tried playing Minecraft with a friend of mine back in high school. But every time we played I was so new to video games and using controllers that they would get frustrated with me and how slow it was taking me to figure out what was happening, that they would put me to sleep in their Minecraft house while they continued building and collecting food. So for this experience, I wanted to be on my own in my own world. I used my brother's PS4; he set it up and gave me the controller. It was one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had. First of all, I was in survival mode and didn’t know about all the monsters. I had to kill animals to eat which was a little brutal with the sounds of them dying and the massive steep mountains I had to go up and down. I lost all my lives pretty quickly and only killed two animals. By the time it got dark, I was scared for my life. I didn’t have time to build myself a house nor enough wood or material to build anything so my brother told me to try and find a nearby village. As I was running around aimlessly I instead found a village of zombies. Everywhere I turned there was a creepy spider or zombie or Slender man-looking thing, trying to eat me. I didn’t make it through the night. I had no idea what was happening or how to even move around. And all I was thinking was that literal children play this game and I can’t even figure out how to look up from the ground. After that terrifying experience, I was told that there is a creative mode where there aren’t any monsters and you can simply collect and build.
For round two I decided to download it on my computer, which was just a replica called Multi Craft. I put it on creative mode and it was pretty similar although I couldn't lose lives and I didn’t have to eat, so at least I had one less thing to worry about. It was frustrating at first figuring out how to move around and grab and through things, it honestly took me 10 minutes to figure out how to move forward. There was only one frightening experience which was my first night because I didn’t realize that the monsters still exist they just won’t hurt you. After that night hiding behind a tree, I started digging myself a cave to live in. But couldn’t figure out how to place blocks down to build a wall. After that, I decided to stop and do some more research on how to use my laptop as a controller, and I was a little frustrated with how long it was taking me.
I in no way want to insult Minecraft because it is a fun way to immerse yourself in art and can be quite therapeutic for some people. I definitely want to continue playing the game because I think once I get the hang of simply gathering and moving around I can see myself having a lot more fun with it. My favorite part was the meditative music and the cute little animals that you can befriend. I’m glad I did it for this assignment because not only did I push myself to try something new, but also being able to reflect and actually research video games and Minecraft history was very interesting and gave me a new perspective. Video game designers are geniuses and I’m amazed by how games are created.

5 Affordable Ways to Try PC Gaming on a Budget
Most of us have tried PC gaming within our budget. We may not be able to afford expensive consoles and games, but we can always find alternatives to meet our needs. When it comes to PC gaming, you’ve got two choices: build your computer or rent one. While building your computer might seem like the way to go if you want to save money in the long run, it is also often more hassle than it’s worth. Fortunately, there are plenty of options that let you get started on PC gaming without buying an expensive new computer. From cloud-based gaming services to used PCs that still provide great performance and reliability, there are many ways you can try out PC gaming without spending too much money upfront. Check out these five ways that are budget-friendly and will let you dip your toes into the deep end of the pool.
 1.       Get a used or PC on rent
One way to try PC gaming without breaking the bank is by getting a used or refurbished computer. If you do not have enough cash for this, consider getting a computer on rent instead. You can also use your old laptop or desktop as your new gaming rig. Simply hook up an external keyboard and monitor and go! Renting a Windows-based game, many games are now available to rent online, rather than buy outright. Popular examples include Minecraft and Lego Worlds. In some cases, it may be cheaper to get a computer on rent than buy it outright if the price is affordable. Splitting with friends is another great way to get into PC gaming without breaking the bank with other people who enjoy playing video games.
 2.       Use free-to-play games.
There are many great free-to-play games out there that will let you get a taste of what PC gaming is all about without having to spend any money upfront.  Free-to-play (F2P) titles are often more accessible than paid ones because they are free to download and play. Though some F2P games might be pay-to-win, many others do not require players to spend any money at all if they do not want to - making them a great place to start if you are just getting started with gaming. League of Legends and Dota 2 are both examples of popular free-to-play MOBA games that offer hours and hours’ worth of entertainment for nothing. An often-overlooked gem in the world of free-to-play is War frame, which features slick 3D visuals and an action RPG gameplay style like Diablo III.
 3.       Take advantage of sales and discounts.
Many retailers offer deep discounts or even flash sales throughout the year, so keep an eye out for those opportunities. For example, Steam, GOG, and Humble Bundle all have seasonal sales and regular discounts on their products. If you wait to buy games until they are discounted, you can save quite a bit of money.
 4.       Use less expensive hardware options.
PC gaming can be expensive. But the cost of hardware is not the only factor in play when you are looking for affordable ways to try PC gaming on a budget. There are many aspects, like what kind of graphics card and CPU you get, or how much storage space and RAM your computer has that contribute to the overall price. If you know what hardware components will work best with your setup, it might save some money.  Or if you have parts lying around from an old computer, then building your PC could also save money if it works properly. The other option is getting a console - they may not offer all the benefits of PC gaming but they are still plenty of fun. They do require games to be purchased separately though so there is a recurring cost associated with that, whereas playing PC games just requires internet access and downloads which are usually free or come at little expense.
 5.       Play browser-based or Flash games.
If you are looking for an easy way to get started with PC gaming, play some browser-based games or Flash games. There are hundreds of browser-based and Flash games out there that are completely free. You will need a mouse, but these games do not require any installation or downloading.
·       Even if you do not have access to the internet, you can still play some of these types of games offline by downloading them first. For example, try Angry Birds.
·       After downloading Angry Birds, all you must do is double-click the icon and it will start up right away. Some other free games like Scrabble also allow you to download their game before playing it.
If all else fails, head over to your local library which usually has computers available for use that can be connected to the internet. These computer systems might not always be running modern operating systems though so you will want to make sure you are prepared for anything. Also, because libraries sometimes restrict how much time users can spend online in one day, this is not the best option for people who want to stay online for long periods. And finally, there is no guarantee that every library in your area has a computer system available either. But if they do, then this is a good place to check!
 Conclusion
There are a lot of ways to get into PC gaming, and it can be tough to know where to start. We hope our guide has helped you figure out the best way to get started in PC gaming without breaking the bank.  Remember that getting into PC gaming does not mean you need to spend a ton of money you might just need a little patience as well as some clever research. Just because your game is not popular now does not mean it will not become popular later!
