My favorite poem and a life lesson- (a must read)

To laugh is to risk appearing fool

To weep is to risk appearing sentimental

To reach out for another is to risk involvement

To express feelings is to risk exposing your true self

To place ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk being called naive.

To love is to risk not being loved in return 

To live is to risk dying

To hope is to risk failure

But risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing and becomes nothing.

They may avoid suffering and sorrow, but they cannot learn, fell, change, grow, live and love.

Chained by their certitudes, they are slaves they have forfeited their freedom.

Only a person who risk is truly free.

Kok, mereka sudah duluan ya di depan kita. Sedang rasanya kita belum jadi apa-apa? Mereka yang duluan menemukan jodohnya. Mereka yang duluan sudah berada pada puncak karirnya. Mereka yang duluan mencapai semua mimpinya. Mereka yang bla bla bla..  Banyak sekali penglihatan kita di fokuskan terhadap apa-apa yang terjadi pada orang lain. Memangnya kita tahu apa dengan hidup mereka? Apakah kita tahu, sudah berapa lama seseorang berusaha sampai mengorbankan waktu lelap dan bersama dengan orang-orang yang dicintainya? Apakah kita juga tahu, kedepannya hidup orang yang kita anggap “wah enak ya, jadi dia” akan semulus pikiran kita?  Mereka yang menikah duluan, siapa tahu karena perjodohan dan tidak bahagia saat menjalankan. Atau mungkin, bisa berpisah di tengah jalan karena kesalahpaham dan berbagai paradigma tentang pernikahan yang rasanya hanya dipenuhi rasa bosan. Mereka yang sudah sampai puncak karir duluan, siapa tahu di depan sana, menanti berbagai tusukan dari orang-orang di sekelilingnya yang tak suka Ia mencapai semua. Mereka yang terlihat bahagia, apakah benar-benar bahagia di dalam hatinya? Bisakah kita meraba kedalaman hati mereka? tidak bukan? Jadi, sudahlah. Hidupmu sudah sebegitu indahnya. Hanya seringkali kau menutup mata. Hidup mereka, biarkanlah menjalani pada masing-masing perannya. Kelak, kita akan menemui waktu dimana kita bisa menjadi bahagia seutuhnya (tentu, tergantung dari sisi mana kau melihatnya).

5 years gone

You told me you loved me, you told me you cared, you told me you would always be there. You gave me a ring, you made me a promise, you told me forever. Yet now there is a new future before us. You broke my heart and strung me along, why was I so blind, I wish I could have been strong. You took my life as I knew changed it forever, took our stuff, our friends, our place and all that was left was me a piece of dust in the corner.

Months went by and I started to change I was no longer dust but not quite a person. You told me your error, that separating was a big mistake, I was foolish and hoped once again, I went to your bed like many times before thinking things would be ok once more. I lied to myself, I knew I was wrong, you weren’t changing I was just a fill in. You have replaced me now, there is nothing I can do, except cry in my room at night and try not to think of you.

More time has past and I’m slowly healing, I remember the good times, and recognise the bad. 5 years gone that I can never get back, but at least it wasn’t life because that I would regret. I’m looking again to find someone to treasure me and my heart, I know what to look for now right from the start. You rarely cross my mind now except to wish you good luck. I hope you find what you were looking for yet I lack. I realise now there is nothing wrong with me and I shouldn’t change me dreams just to be the person you wanted.

I know this story is nothing new and many of you have been through this to. It is a reminder to myself and others maybe, that you are strong, beautiful and amazing no matter what they do we can always come back and while we can’t get back the time we lost we dont need to fret, because it helped us to become a better person and that a better person will love.
