ngl i don’t get all the world v rise comparisons. they’re fundamentally two different games (one’s way more online based and is an mmo, the other is meant for portable play or those who don’t want to have too long of gameplay sessions kinda like 4u). honestly i think it’s really fitting to give options like this—helps with introducing potential players to the series while not fully removing stuff to appease only one group.

that’s what i can’t help but appreciate. yes you’re inevitably going to find one or the other better because you prefer the gameplay, yet they don’t sacrifice quality and it’s something that can make a really neat community. way too many franchises/companies feel the need to alienate groups that don’t go with the most profitable option and neglect them. i’m glad both fifth gen titles came out well.

It’s that time of year again, throwback to that time in seventh grade when my friend was having a severe mental health crisis in school and the license, trained, paid counselors called me out of class and said to me, “We just don’t know what to do anymore, he keeps asking for you. Can you try talking to him?” So I went over to my friend and tried to talk him out of ending his own life and then spent that entire long weekend stressed beyond belief because I thought if he was dead by Tuesday, it was completely my fault and I failed him.
