You knew money was always a dealbreaker for relationships. You watched it happen with your own parents. Watched them go through it all and in the end get divorced because your dad spent too much money and your mom couldn’t handle it. You promised yourself you wouldn’t get into the same situation, not with Eddie, but here you were.

Paying for rent and utilities had been fine, you put a little gas in the car when you could, and you were even able to buy a six pack of beer every now and then, but somehow this month you were short. Somehow the water bill came and there wasn’t enough.

The statement came in the mail with big red letters stamped across the front, OVERDUE, but Eddie waved you off.

Don’t we have it on autopay, babe? Must be a mistake.

So you left it alone, but when you woke up in the morning to take a shower before work? Nothing came out of the shower head.

Towel tucked under your arms you stormed out into the living room, cold and angry, to find Eddie posted up on the couch. So casual. Reading a Thrasher magazine with the TV on in the background.

“So. The water’s off,” your tone was short, clipped and sharp enough to pull Eddie’s attention away from the magazine. Brows pinching together in confusion as he swung his legs off the couch to look at you properly.

“Huh? Sweetheart, what d’you mean off?“ he asked, looked up at you with those big brown eyes and you bit your lips in to try and stop yourself from raising your voice.

“The water is off, as in the water company turned it off,” you said again, frustration swelling in your chest, “I thought you said it was on autopay?”

“Well, yeah,” he started off confidently, so sure. “We set that up when we moved in and put it in your name and–” but he drifted off at the end of his sentence and his cheeks grew warm. Hot and embarrassed and he buried his face in his hands with a groan.

You’d split the utilities up when you two moved in together, especially since you had separate bank accounts, and as Eddie ticked them off in his head – internet, garbage, phone – he realized the water wasn’t under your name. It was under his. And this month had been tight.

Working at the bar was decent most of the time. Tips were good and Eddie’s regulars took care of him, but lately? It has been really slow. Slower than usual and it was hard for Eddie to remember to save during times like that.

No grabbing coffee on his way out in the morning. No beers with Steve after he got done at family video. No buying the kids new dice or a playbook for Hellfire, but he always got caught up in the moment and shit. This time he’d lost track.

“I’m so sorry babe,“ his voice was muffled as he spoke into his hands, tentatively lifting his head to look at you, “Can we maybe cover it from your account this month?“

You felt your cheeks grow hot, heat spreading from your chest across your neck and up to your ears. Your lips twisted with a frown, a deep scowl, so damn frustrated and tired of looking at your bank account and seeing five dollars left.

“No! We can’t! There’s no money there either,” you sighed, emotions starting to get the better of you as your throat grew tight and it just felt so off.

You were standing in the living room with nothing but a towel on. Any other time Eddie would’ve been on you in a second. Wrapping his arms around you and pulling you down into his lap. Pressing his lips to your neck, your collarbone and the curves of your hips, but instead you were arguing.

Eddie felt his chest squeeze with guilt, with the weight of all this stupid responsibility and the fact that it was all his fault. He was your boyfriend! He was supposed to take care of you! You were in this together and yet he wasn’t holding up his side of the deal and you were so upset and late for work and fighting and–

He swallowed thick, Adam’s apple bobbing in his throat, chewed his bottom lip between his teeth and held his breath.

“D’you regret it?” he asked, deep, brown eyes, flicking up to meet your own so hurt and sad, so fucking sorry.

Your stomach twisted. Flipped over with his question and your expression softened, “Regret it?“

“Yeah. Do you regret me?“

And with those four little words you felt your anger start to ebb.

Yeah. You were standing in your living room with just a towel on. No running water. Late for work and five dollars in your bank account, but the way he was looking at you made you hesitate. Had you sounded like you were done? Done enough that he thought you didn’t want to be with him anymore? And that’s when something in you shifted.

Your parents weren’t good for each other and your dad spent too much money and it made your mom so angry, but that wasn’t the only thing.

He didn’t listen to her.

Didn’t stay up late when she was worried and couldn’t sleep.

Didn’t run out to get a box of tampons when she got her period.

Didn’t ask her about her day and didn’t rub her feet and didn’t surprise her with pizza after a shitty day at work.

Didn’t tell her how much he loved her every single day. Didn’t kiss her once as he went out the door and again when he came back in to say how much he already missed her.

Eddie loved you, and yeah you were short on money, but you weren’t short on love. And at the end of the day? Even though love didn’t pay the bills, it sure as hell would help you figure it out. Because while money came and went, this kind of love didn’t.

Crossing the room still in your towel, you sat down next to Eddie on the couch. Took his hand in yours and held it tightly in your lap. “Eddie,” you said softly, taking his chin in your free hand and tilting it up so you could see him. “I would never regret this,” you said, hoping he understood just how serious you were. Hoping you heard every word you said, knowing that you meant it. “I just wish I could take a shower,“ you half-joked and he snorted, but then dropped his gaze back down to your hands.

God, the guilt was heavy.

“I’m really fucking sorry, babe.”

“S’okay,” you smiled, pressed a hand to his cheek and pulled his eyes back up to meet yours. “You just can’t buy the kids any more dice and you definitely don’t need any more manuals for hellfire. And maybe you can start learning how to brew your own beer?“ your tone teased him at the end and it pulled a little laugh out of him. “We’ll figure it out, right?”

“Yeah. I can pick up extra shifts at the bar and I’ll start putting my tips in a jar under the bed. A little savings in case the water gets turned off again,” he gave you a half-grimace, half-smile, “Too soon?”

“Too soon.”

“Sorry–listen–I’m part of this relationship too and I just wanna take care of you, honey,” and the way he was looking at you told you he couldn’t have been more serious.

“You always take care of me,“ you said leaning into him, resting your forehead against his and those unruly curls, “And I don’t regret it, Eds. Not even a little bit. “

And then Eddie closed the gap between you. Pressed his lips soft to yours in a quiet promise. Felt something plant itself in his chest and start to bloom and in that moment he knew he wanted to grow and not stay stagnant.

Him getting into a dating scandal would jeopardize your safety and his group. He didn’t care about his group at the moment, he was scared for you.

“I… I’d like that, actually. I hope you don’t mind.”

“I assume that means you don’t mind sharing a bed? Unless you want me to sleep on the floor.”

“You really think I want you to sleep on the floor after the amount of time we’ve been apart?” Your response makes him smile, pressing a kiss to your forehead and pulling you in for a hug, his hand caressing the top of your head. “I’m really sorry. I know I messed up. And I’m sorry I can’t be there for you all the time.”

“I know. It’s okay. You’re doing your best, and that’s enough. I know you’re working hard and you’re busy. But… I’m hoping we can still try to enjoy ourselves for the time being.”

He pulls away to look at your face, being confused about your sudden switch up.

“Yes, I’m scared, yes, my life is probably going to be in danger at some point, but I did not come to see you just to worry about this and our relationship going public. It’s out there now, and there’s nothing we can do about it. I know I was panicking about it a few seconds ago, but I’ve come to terms that it happened already. I forgive you. And honestly, I’m glad that you’re that comfortable with me to say it in front of thousands of people.”

“You’ve apologized enough. It’s okay now.” You cut him off, going onto your tip toes to kiss his nose. “Can we order something? I’m hungry.”

“I was gonna ask you, but I felt I intruded already.”

After that whole fiasco, people found your social media accounts, some of them even following you, flooding your comments with nothing but sentences that had the name Felix in it at least once. You got a few death threats even, but you tried to not let it get to you too much. It made you a bit paranoid, but the more you went out, the more you forgot about them.

Articles were written; Tiktoks and edits took over your feed about the ‘mystery girl’ or ‘Y/N’ behind the camera that gave Felix heart eyes whenever he looked at you. Eventually, they found out what you looked like, and though you were expecting insults, you were instead given compliments.

Pretty, adorable, beautiful… words that made you feel comfortable to be a part of Felix’s life publicly. He never brought it up during conversations or interviews unless another person did, which, he was very cautious with what he was saying.

You had your fair share of hate. It bothered you a little bit, but then remembered the only reason they hated you was that you had something they didn’t: Felix. His love and affection, his admiration and attention. It boosted your ego unhealthily, but you weren’t gonna get all full of yourself over it.

He wasn’t necessarily open about his relationship. He wouldn’t bring up the topic himself; usually someone else would have to. He would answer any questions, but there was always a limit to them. He was all nice about it though, always asking you after if what he said was okay to share with others.

You look at his tripod set up, then his surprised expression, as if he’d seen a ghost. “What’s wrong? Am I interrupting?”

“Ah, thanks, we needed to get rid of it somehow.” You eye the camera. “Your face isn’t showing.” He clarifies, allowing you to walk into frame, letting him take a bite of the sandwich. His eyes light up, enthusiastically nodding. “It’s good!”

“Do you want it? I’ll make another one for myself.” He nods, taking the plate from you. “Thank you!” He says, mouth full as you walk out the door. “Look at this, guys. You guys summoned her, now I get good food.” He bites into it again, visibly enjoying the simple sandwich you made. “I love my girlfriend.”

You two were certainly romantic, private and in public. On the occasion you’d post photos of the two of you together, and you were also open about it if you were to do lives together. You weren’t in every live, but he invited you once and it was fun, so you were open to other opportunities.

You sat in an innocent little bubble tea shop, scrolling on your phone when you get a call from him unexpectedly. “Hello?” You greet, sipping on your drink. “Y/N, do you wanna come backstage after the concert? Feels like it’s been forever since I’ve last seen you.”

“Probably because it has. Can you really do that?”

“Chan’s parents and siblings are coming, and they’re going backstage, my sisters are coming too.”

As if it were a coincidence, it turned out you were sitting next to Hannah, who greeted you with a hug when she saw you sit down in the seat beside hers. Now you were sitting in your nosebleed seat, eagerly leaning forward to stare at the screen, the sudden random play dance coming on.

From your knowledge, a camera would focus on a certain fan in the audience, mostly in the further back, said fan having to follow one of the boy group’s dances. This would usually come on mid performance, meaning the members would be watching as well.

You’re so engaged staring at the screen, excited to see who’s on next that you don’t realize that it’s you. “Y/N!” Chan says, looking over at Felix. The choreography for God’s Menu begins to play as Hannah forces you up onto your feet, cheering you on.

You hand her your lightstick and place your bag down, forcing yourself to get over it and just do the dance for the few seconds you’re on screen. In your opinion, you did pretty well, judging from the screams that erupted from every inch of the room. You do the ending fairy, leaning against the railing again with a hand under your chin, sending a wink and a flying kiss across the arena. You immediately get shy, hiding your face in Hannah’s shoulder.

“Wow.” Felix starts, feeling Chan pat his back. “That’s my girlfriend, everyone.” He points in your direction, the arena flooded with screams as Felix’s ears and face slowly go red on the screen. You feel your own face heat up as you cover it, Hannah shaking you uncontrollably. “He’s blushing!” Han teases, pointing at your boyfriend’s crimson face. “C’mon, man, say something to her!” Chan says, ushering him closer to the edge of the stage.

“Y/N, I love you!” He holds a finger heart up, sending a flying kiss back to you. Your face goes warm at his bold move, yet you feel pride that he’s comfortable to do that openly in an arena full of his screaming fans. “Don’t cover your smile, you’re beautiful.” The screams somehow get even louder, and you feel as though a million eyes are on you as you wave your lightstick gleefully.

“Aww, so sweet!” Seungmin adds, poking at Felix’s open affection.

“Do you guys wanna know what Felix does? He scrolls through her photos sometimes before practice and he comes back all red. His excuse was that warm up was tough on him.” Chan exposes, though isn’t immediately stopped by his friend. You laugh at the thought, it being heartwarming at the same time.

You wait with Hannah, her parents, and Felix’s family after the concert, seeing Chan walk out first and greet his family, then you. “Felix ‘s coming, just grabbing something.” You nod, letting him reunite with his family for the time being. You smile at his feuding with his sister, feeling a tap on your shoulder.

Felix is standing right behind you with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen, and you practically jump into his arms. “Geez, I’m so sorry, I smell so bad.” His sweat makes your hands cling to him, yet when you look at his face, it made him all the more attractive. Still smelly, but somehow sexy at the same time. He had a towel on his shoulder, wiping his sweat off as best he could. He pulls away to greet his mom and his sisters, taking their pictures for them. You watched in awe how sweet their connection was and how close they were.

You overheard his mom talking to him before they left. “Treat her good, okay? You don’t want to lose her.” Your heart melts, now aware you’ve truly earned his mother’s approval. He walks over to you, stopping to simply admire you, his hand tucking your hair behind your ear.

“My god, you’re beautiful. I’ve missed you so much.” He mutters, the words making you blush and jump onto him for a long awaited kiss. One of those long, cheesy movie kisses was a way to describe it, but who cares if it was cheesy, you finally got to kiss him after months of being away from each other. “Loved your dance, by the way. When’d you get the time to learn that?”

“Circumstances. Figured it’d be best to be prepared.”

“You did fuckin’ amazing, then.” His hand covers his mouth, eyes widened in shock. “I didn’t mean to say that.”

“You aren’t live anymore, it’s fine.”

“Still felt wrong.”

“Do you guys want me to take a picture of you?” Hannah appears out of nowhere, startling you. You nod, handing her your phone, posing for a couple pictures, feeling Felix’s hand on your hip the entire time. “Alright, now kiss!” Hannah says jokingly, Chan shoving her shoulder.

I couldn't think of a better idea for this Christmas than to use "We wish you a Merry Christmas" that they used in Phineas and Ferb… Well. I will do the same for this New Year... Much like the rest of the world, the glory days of 2010-2015 are long gone, and oh do I miss them.

Everything was great: tumblr and Instagram were fire for the sugar bowl, and the bowl itself was insane due to the economy thriving. Truly, these were the glory days.

When I logged back in earlier, I saw a blog post from 2013 from Southern Sugar — we were the same age that year. It's over 10 years later. I wonder where she is now? Is she married and a trophy wife? Still yacht hopping like me?

And when I looked at my page, my last post were my New Year's Resolutions for 2018! How quick 6 years went by...

That's the beauty of the internet: it's a closed system, perfectly preserving it's contents for all of time... until the original poster decides to give up on sugaring all together and deletes the Encyclopedia Thottanica (*pouts at sugarbabytemptress*)

Here's the update:

2018 went as planned, as did 2019. Not as planned but very profitable were 2020 and 2021. I made bank, saved tons of money, collected tons of Cartier, 3 Rolex watches and even got a brand new luxury car bought in my name.

I was living the high life...

I got lingerie and jewelry aplenty! Vacations and spa days galore! You want Louboutins?? I've got 20! No big deal, well who cares, I waaant moooore 🎶

What's funny is that eventually the high wears off and becomes a monotonous routine. That was 2022 and 2023 with my SDBF. So boring, can't believed that I've been locked down and in this relationship for 5 years. No wonder I'm bored and feeling restless. And you know what they say... no ring on the finger, must not linger 💍

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

I love clay hairs and I love old Peggy and Helga hairs too. Some TS2 clothing meshes have never held any appeal for me, and some alpha stuff that is very beloved leaves me cold. I like the beta look too! I’ve already shared my love of beta-esque eyes.

I've been collecting CC for much too long. Sometimes I go digging through my old af clothing CC wondering what if??? should I recolor that???? is this mesh good, actually?????

I’ve considered getting rid of all of my custom windows and doors (save a few special ones). I feel like Maxis has given us everything we could ask for and more. Plus it might save space for even more CC. More rc's of what I have, less new meshes.

[a/n] I know I said I'd be finishing first love soon but it's been a tough couple months and I'm slowly getting back into writing again. I really hope that the inspiration will stick for me to finish it but thank you to anyone who's read and waiting for the next part. Here's a little songfic I put together since rejoining the internet again.

Like moths to a flame, the town fled to hear the new rumours that tarnished the Munson name, as greedy as they were they thrived off of the pain it caused, revealing in the destruction it would bring. Despite this, the Munson men carried on with their lives, stuck in a bubble of coldness that only the gentlest souls were prepared to see past. 

For Eddie it felt like he was trapped between the identity of two people, neither portraying the real him. At school he played the outcast, the weirdo, the one that would never become anyone or anything in this world, just as his father and teachers told him growing up. 

Meanwhile, at the hideout he became the stereotypical heart throb, nothing but a piece of meat to fuck and chuck as soon as the next groupie got bored. Typically the other way around, he’d become a notch on some randoms belt, the relationship so superficial you could wipe it clean with a makeup wipe. 

But he wanted more. He knew he deserved more.

When you first approached him, he’d been cautious, the prank of pretending to be his friend being played one too many times for his liking. It wasn’t until you’d mentioned that you were new to Hawkins, that he’d figured you probably didn’t know who he was yet. However, what he wasn’t expecting was for you to simply shrug him off and sit next to him despite his clear warnings. 

You were new to Hawkins, that much was for sure. The first time he’d seen you was at the beginning of English, you’d smiled and waved across the classroom before turning towards the front and resuming your position in the worn out book you carried around. Assuming you meant to look at someone else he awkwardly looked to the side like a deer in the headlights, before putting his head between his cool hands to fight the warm heat rising to his cheeks, thoughts going a million miles an hour, somewhat ashamed that for a split second the believed you were looking at him.

Months passed with the same routine of him feebly denying any attention you sent his way, coming up with an array of excuses for reasons why you weren’t interested in him. He wanted so badly to approach you, perhaps ask you on a date yet anytime he gained the confidence it was quickly snuffed out by the other students entering the room or passing him a snide comment. 

He would never admit this to you, but you’d become the highlight of his day. Even the hellfire members had noticed his longing stares in the cafeteria, deciding not to tease him this once, enjoying seeing this new side to their usual stone faced DM. 

Behind the scenes he had no clue there the sneaky Henderson boy was quietly scheming to push the two of you together. The idea of you both dancing around your obvious feelings but neither making a move driving him crazy.

Neither of you knew how it happed yet one fateful day you’d agreed to be his girlfriend, the memory forever ingrained in his mind reminding him of the reasons why you were the one for him. 

‘Sweaty palms and wilting wildflowers he’d run towards you almost tripping over the curb. Your angelic smile enough to make him weak at the knees as you greeted him with a shy kiss and wide doe eyes. The two of you planned to celebrate graduation in private, apart from having each other, the warm summer breeze and quietness of the woods felt right. 

You’d both danced around the idea of making your relationship official however, for Eddie he needed the affirmation. His biggest fear being that you would simply walk away, that everything the two of you had was a lie or means to an end. Logically he knew you would never do that to him but with nothing to offer you other than love, why would you want to stay In Hawkins with him?

Needless to say as the words slipped his mouth you’d agreed immediately and the rest was history.’

Sure there were ups and downs in the early stages of your relationship, fears and worries needing to work themselves out before settling down. For Eddie while loving another came easy, the desperation to give and receive meant being torn between letting you in or pushing you away. Ingrained into his DNA it would never be as simple as flipping a switch, the active reminder that he could possible lose you at any given moment being the motivating factor to battle his demons. 

You on the other hand, fully supported his rockstar dream. Never wanting to make him choose between you and his vision. Yet as human as it was you grew scared that he’d realise he was way too good for you. When he could have anyone he could possibly dream of once leaving this town behind, why would he choose you? Why would he stay with you?

The beautiful thing about being human was making mistakes and learning and growing from them, as difficult as it was the both of you would make it out together, regardless of the hypothetical fallout.

The day of your wedding was coincidentally the day you’d found out you were pregnant with your first child. Fear and excitement bundled into one where not only were the vows you spoke to each other, but also to your future family. With silent promises made and tears of happiness flowing you welcomed the next chapter of your lives with open arms and full hearts.

In Eddie fashion he’d almost cancelled the wedding, as you walked down the isle moments after telling him the big news he’d insisted you at the very least sat down for the rest of the ceremony, justifying the fact that you needed to save your energy and stay healthy for his own sanity because god forbid your feet ache after standing in heels all day. 

He’d soon learn that if anyone needed to sit down it was probably him, the view of a baby being born from between the legs he knew so well, more than enough to knock him out cold. 

At least he’d be prepared the next time.

Ten years later and your third child on the way he could finally say all the blood sweat and tears wasted in throughout his youth were worth it. There was no waiting for the ball to suddenly drop, no final wake up call or ultimatum, fighting for you and vice versa was more than worth it and he’d be an idiot to think otherwise.

The once lonely, broken child wondering where he fit into this world now meant something. Becoming the person he was now from the person he was before, wouldn’t have been possible if he’d been given the easy path to follow just like he once wished. The memories and hardships carved into his skin through wrinkles, scars and faded tattoos served as his reminder that even in the darkest days he would be just fine.

Happy things (because I've been moping recently and decided to stop akdlödlf)

- A week until the holidays!!!!!!! I get to see my friends at home and my family over the break >:] I also organised cards and have bought novelty chocolates for my family akdldlfl (Germans may think theyre just normal but to me they're funny)

- I have chocolate in my cupboard!!

- So many fun books (not "work" books) waiting to be read over the break 🥹

- I'm going to get Hungarian chimney cake at the xmas market if I have time to go there before I fly home

- I get to fly home and consume blueberry juice on the plane 😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌 my favourite 😭 its almost cringe how much I like it but I'm not ashamed xD

- I get to go to the airport! (I actually kind of like airports, they make me feel like a glamorous international businesswoman and/or adventurer 😭😂)

- My room/apartment (omfg its literally like. the size of my previous room) is clean rn and I changed my sheets<3 cozy

- My internet just got way better since I got a proper router today! Can actually download pdfs bigger than 5 mb now akdlld

- After being in Germany for just 3 months, I'm settled at my cool university, I have a really cool part-time job, and I've made friends in my classes in a way I never did in undergrad 🥹 I've also explored 3 different cities and seen 5 different musical/theatre things!

- My classes are really interesting!!!

- I'm getting a feel for what I want to do after uni. I think going abroad to study was important in showing me that you can go live abroad lol (and within the EU it's not markedly more expensive than moving to a new city within your home country). I think most of the jobs I'm interested in will have me go abroad again... 👀

- I've been exploring and adventuring so much in general during my time here!!

- I got a really nice comment on a fanfic from last year :]

- All my fears about not being able to make it living on my own (incl. being scared of not knowing how to cook) were unfounded. Plus nobody else has to eat what I make so I can make everything the way I like even if it's "weird" 😌 (which mostly means ingredients being separated and most veggies being raw 😭😭 Like I won't put carrots or bell peppers in a sauce or soup or anything, I will just eat them raw on the side of whatever I made. I love cronching on a big fresh red bell pepper while my pasta water is boiling 😭 recommend)
