Babs has her info Here. But this is her design! I’m not actually entirely sure if any of these designs are final, i might tweak them, but here she is! I gave her necklaces.

Bruce is based on a leatherback sea turtle! The spots aren’t actually super accurate to a leatherback’s underside, but if you look at it a little harder... you may find a fun little easter egg. It’s subtle... or at least i tried to make it that way. (If people don’t get it i’ll explain in a rb lol) Did you know that leatherback sea turtles can be up to 880 pounds? Idk what that is in metric but that’s roughly 7 and a half Bahfevs. They’re also much more triangular/less round than other turtles, so I reflected that in his design. And ofc, Bruce and Damian are both sea turtles bc they’re related. But they’re different sea turtle species so it doesn’t make much sense. Who gives a flip. What’s Talia, you ask? To that I say: 🤷‍♀️

(Side note: apparently, I’ve conditioned myself so I can’t draw nuetral expressions. It’s gotta have some emotion or else it looks wrong, and it feels natural to always have something going on there. So... drawing Stoic McStoicface here was a pain in the penis. He kinda has an expression anyway lol)

Danny is based on a ghost knife fish! I’ll be honest, i didn’t even know these existed until I looked up “ghost fish” in the hopes of finding something thematic. But then... omg! They’re black with little white accents? Like Danny’s design? And they have cool, funky bodies? AND they produce electricity!?? That’s so FKING COOL! I’ll have to do more research, but so far i’m pretty sure they don’t produce enough electricity to hurt someone. They are related to electric eels though! I first learned that electric eels were knife fish and not true eels when I was researching the moray eel for Duke. Funny how that connects!

Okay so basically: Danny went diving to gather pearls because he wanted to make his parents happy/proud. While he was diving, His foot got caught in a rock and he couldn’t get it out. He panicked and he begged— to who? God, maybe? The universe, or the ocean? Maybe just begging fate or any higher power that could be out there, he doesn’t know. His only prayer was “Don’t let me drown!”. Unbeknownst to him, one of the pearls he’d grabbed was a magic, wish granting pearl. They’re rare enough that humans don’t even have legends of them... but the merfolk do ;).

The pearl took his very non-specific wish and decided to give him a tail and gills. He swam back up in a panic, and saw his new tail. Of course, this is a very horrifying thing to happen. But in less than a minute... it was already starting to dry off. As it dried, it turned back into skin.

Now, Danny has to be extremely careful not to get his legs or hair wet when he’s near people, because he’ll turn back into a merboy.

i... probably should have given him a shirt? He’d be wearing it, right? But i also did need to see what I was doing with that fin thing lol. I mean, a shirt would get annoying with that fin- he’d probably take it off. Tbh he’d probably have it off when swimming in general? Idk.

So: funny thing that happened when I was drawing Danny:

A first grader came up to me while I had it open on my desk, and she was like:

“Oh my god, that’s so good! Like, how did you even draw that?”

so I was like: “Oh thank you! ❤️”

And I think she asked again “How did you even draw that?”

so I was a little confused on how to answer, so I said:

i've been watching a lot of drawfee lately and seeing all the @vaaiz content lately had motivated me to draw something, and that something just happened to be a pretty much self-insert oc lmao

they use finger guns to fire anemo bullets :D their elemental burst summons a fungus friend that deals an extra instance of anemo dmg every 1.5 seconds and reduces the enemy's elemental res to whatever it swirls

some random details/facts:

has aloy's vision shell type because they're technically an outlander as well

they call themselves 'squid' but nobody believes it's their real name bc who would name their child squid lmao

they live in the apam woods just vibing with the fungi in a crappy little hut up in one of the huge trees

also befriended some dusk birds and teaches them to talk

uses their vision to traverse the woods and peep above the canopy

sometimes helps the forest rangers with withering zones (they encountered tighnari one day and he tried to kill their fungus friends lmao rip but they're cool now)

love language is giving people little rocks or shinies or things from the forest that make them think of someone

collei especially has a little pile of pebbles and a single decorated ruin guard piece somewhere in her room

tighnari once opened his door to find a piece of driftwood poorly carved into a little fox on his doorstep

lowkey wants to try on cyno's funky hat but has never actually seen him around and would never ask anyway because they're way too intimidated

fun fact this design is actually v2 because v1 didn't look very genshin so i did a bit of an overhaul :D i tried to make the longer cape things' inner design look a bit like tentacles but idk how well it really worked ahah

i didn't really base them off of any real-life culture, rather in-game sumeru npcs (corps of thirty, merchants...) they're not originally from sumeru but they're technically living in the region so i figured i would try and make them look like it lol

i know this isn't what you followed for but you know what i had fun drawing this up and exploring their character a little bit so humour me lol

i realise now that it actually seems a bit like i based quite a bit off vaaiz but i didn't i swear we're just too similar asdfghjkl im sorry i did my best to make them their own character

Perfumes

Mom found back in her pocket one of those little papers to test the perfumes that she had made me smell last week. The perfume in question already smelled amazing last week and it still smells amazing now and holy shit I have a physical need to own this perfume. I'm normally quite loyal to a "small" French brand that makes fairly simple perfumes (things that are too complex or too strong tend to give me migraines + they make small bottles for 10 euros, which allows me to change fragrances regularly without breaking the bank) but there. THERE.

"Un bois vanille" by Serge Lutens. Mexican black vanilla, sandalwood and licorice. The fucking best thing I ever smelled.

This perfume just ticks all the boxes in terms of satisfying smell in my brain and I have never wanted to smell a perfume on myself so badly. Cause, like, I like perfumes. I LOVE perfumes. I have a sensitive nose so smelling good/having things that smell good easily accessible helps a lot in everyday life. I usually wear perfume more for my own comfort than for that of the people around but damn this smell is just right.

Just. It smells fucking sexy, okay ? My ace ass doesn't even have the need to feel sexy, but this smell is just. Ugh. This is the kind of scent I would want to have to make people around swoon if the world was a fucking Omegaverse. We've reached that point of toddler-brain screaming "WANT WANT WANT".

But fuck it, next sales or if I see it in a second-hand resell, I'll buy it. It's very, very far out of my usual price range but for now, when it comes to expensive perfumes, I'm like my mother: if we find one that we like and we stick, stick, stick to it. Mom wore the same perfume for 20 years until production was discontinued.

Fortunately, I was able to secure two full replacement days in the coming weeks and with my birthday and Christmas coming up, I should be able to put a nice nest egg aside to pay for at least 50 ml.

Anyways, if you have time to loose, I had fun listing all my perfumes under the cut with what they smell / what I think of it.

Montblanc Legend : My very first perfume after starting my transition, it's what helped me the most to feel good about myself when I had really bad dysphoria. It's a very, very rich fragrance, with a fougere/lavender/citrus top note, a floral rose/jasmine heart and an end note of oakmoss. Now that my nose has become even more sensitive, I have difficulty wearing it, but I still like it.

After that, all hail Adopt Perfumes lmao

At The End Of The World : Lavender, tonka bean, coconut wood and incense. Very "warm" and a little sweet, it is quite heady and a more “autumn” scent.

Blue Suit : Grapefruit, Apple, Violet Leaf, Vetiver. Very sharp and fresh, my mother hates it (she can't stand violet leaf) so I tend to avoid it around her. More of a spring scent.

I bought these two at the same time, for my first birthday after starting testosterone if I remember correctly. The first was my daily perfume for a very long time while I rather used the second, more lively and fresh, for more specific moments, like job interviews.

Hypnotique Incense : Pepper, Frankincense, Cistus Labdanum. Worn quite rarely, mostly when I'm in a witchy mood. Best smell to have around when I do my oracle readings. Very, very heady unfortunately, tends to cause me headaches and even a nosebleed once.

Vanilla Bourbon : Vanilla, Almond and Iris. One of my favorites from last year and what I wore almost all summer. Very very sweet, I smell like candy. Got a lot of compliments on that one.

Ravaging Vanilla : Amber vanilla, cognac and oak wood. I smell like a prohibition style bar with this one lmao. Much more intense and marked than my other vanilla perfume, I wear it on my most "masc" days. Smelling kinda like alcohol draws funky looks though.

Marrakech Royal : Cinnamon, orange blossom, tobacco and amber. My most recent purchase, because I wanted to smell spices because 🍁fall🍂. Very soft and sweet, I smell exactly like the gazelle ankles my roommate baked which is hilarious.

Since my birthday is coming up and I have a 1 bought, 1 offered, I'll probably end up with those two in addition.

Dubaï Palace : Saffron, black cherry, oud wood, vanilla. The one I was hesitant with when I bought Marrakech Royal. Also spicy, but more pronounced and I liked the saffron/oud wood combination.

Eternal Osmanthus : .... ZHONGLI HERE I COME LMAO. Osmanthus and cedar wood ? Empty brain no thoughts, sign me in babe.

What do you honestly think of Mikuro's art in FEH?

Oooh, this is a good pick. Mikuro’s a very balanced artist so I’ll definitely have fun with this one.

Mikuro’s the artist who’s drawn three Camilla alts (so they’ve literally drawn one third of Camilla’s total FEH artwork, lol), Halloween Nils, Itsuki, Plegian Kris, two Elise alts, etc… basically they have a good number of notches in their belt of FEH art.

It’s really goofy, but first things first I want to point out that Mikuro’s very balanced in the fan service department, lmao. I know I had my mini-complaint about Dorothea having sexy alts before even being included as a base unit, but none of that’s directed at the artists themselves. And for what it’s worth, Dorothea looks very pretty:

Mikuro in general actually has really well designed seasonal costumes:

And even looking at the artwork above, the colors are really nice, the expressions are pretty good, and the posework is varied and fun most of the time. Though there’s a few that have posing issues:

I appreciate what they’re trying to do for both Kris and Elise, giving us something both new and dynamic, but it does look funky if you stare at it for too long. Elise’s legs look a little goofy, and Kris’s head in junction with his body looks pasted on.

And then of course we were given good ol’ Dieck:

Didn’t shy away from the scars (which is the most important aspect of Dieck’s attractiveness), bless them.

There’s also a decent amount of variety to the characters they’ve drawn, too. Haven’t seen them tackle older characters, but that’s ok.

Mikuro’s a good solid 9/10. Here’s hoping they get more chances to draw a unit (AND A DIECK ALT PLS!)

Here's another of my OC. I was going to make a super cool battle illustration with super cool effects and super cool lighting and I gave up almost instantly lol. SHE HAS NO WRISTS!!

This is one I made for Drawfest 2, like, 2 years ago now, I think. I thought it was coming along kinda nice except I couldn't get the perspective to look right so my character ended up looking huge lmao.

Pico jumpscare I got really into Pico's school way back when and never saw any fanart for his death screen. So I wanted to try my hand at it. Got through the lineart before I decided I didn't like it and was not skilled enough to salvage it so I gave up. Might redraw this in the future though!

This was going to be a picture of Gregory and Freddy from FNaF Security Breach (made this around the time the game came out), but I quickly realized I couldn't draw animatronics and quit lol. You can kinda see the stripe on Gregory's shirt, but my sketching abilities back then were awful so it's a little hard.

MULTIFANDOM IDEAAAAA

So me and my sister were talking a few years ago, and I think one of us misspoke and said "Coffee shot" instead of "Coffee shop," so this AU was born.

It's a coffee shop called the Coffee Shot staffed by characters that love guns and have guns and shoot guns and I love them. The shop is frequented by characters from other franchises (in this case Danganronpa), and it's got the best coffee and the best theming you've ever seen >:)

Let this be a lesson that not all of your pictures are going to go the way you want to. Your sketches are going to be messy, your lineart isn't going to match up, your colors are going to look funky, and your shading is going to want to make you rip out your hair sometimes.

I think what's important is to make sure that all that stuff doesn't discourage you.

If you give up all together, you'll never know what you'd've been able to produce if you hadn't.

If a picture isn't working for you, find out why. Then quit that picture, practice, and come back. You'll be able to compare yourself to your own art instead of other people's, which will give you a clearer sense of how far you've come.

1 - I think my first ever OC that i can remember was this little dinosaur fella I would draw all the time in paper margins way back in middle school, I don't actually have any pics on my computer but I doodled him real quick for ya

4 - Lianel!!!!! I don't think I've ever shared them anywhere?? I made them back in highschool (hence the old signature, I went by a different name back then), I actually made a short little comic of them exploring this ruined world that I can't find >:( It's hiding in a sketchbook somewhere i hope and I just haven't scanned it. But anyhoo! Lianel is on the run for space crimes!! Jury's out on whether or not they actually committed said crimes or were framed though. They found their ancient armor from the ruins of a resistance organization that died out a long time ago, but when you're on the run you take what you can get. They've got a funky staff that an even funkier little magic blob lives in, so long as Lianel takes them on adventures, since the little blob can't travel on their own. In return the blob lets Lianel use some of their magic when they get into trouble. I don't think I ever named the blob??????????

13 - Hehohoho!!!!! >:D This is Calcifur!!! They look small and unassuming but they will steal your wallet fhgjhkgfjklhgf

Cal loves being gay and doing crimes, especially graffiti in places they're not supposed to, although after they met Lato they toned it down a lot and now stick to mostly silly pranks. Calcifur is one of the main three fellas I used to draw a whooooole lot before I fell out of doing art for a good while, and i will definitely be using this as an excuse to talk about them gjhfijhgfd but first, more about Calcifur! Cal's skin glows and changes color with their mood, (neutrally they're blue) and they've got a nifty pair of headphones that can transform into a stylish neck kerchief. They can speak, but can only be heard by people they want to hear them. And now the trio!

Ok so the other two are Lato and Cube (bet you can't guess who's who lmao) Lato is my fluffy puff ball sweet boy, friendliest fella you'll ever meet. He's naturally very curious and aims to be pals with everyone he meets. He's semi aware of his being an artistic creation, though he's pretty chill about it. Cube on the other hand, is fully aware and somewhat peeved at me about it jhgdkhgdjkjhgfd Cube is a straightforward know it all with a short temper and vast knowledge. Originally I made him to be a companion to Lato, to keep him company in the void (since I was very bad about never drawing any sort of backgrounds lmao) and to answer Lato's many ceaseless questions for me. He often shows up doodled in the margins of whatever I'm working on to make snide jokes about something or other or yell at me to stay focused. Now a days the three live together in a nice house out in the forest and have fun domestic style shenanigans. I could talk about these three for a thousand years so I'll stop here because this whole ask has already gotten slightly out of hand kgfdhlkdjgfhgj

Cube is VERY popular in my notes and sketchbooks. Funny enough a lot of sillier characters are more recent creations, characters I made in highschool and earlier had more tragic / serious backstories. Oh, I also draw a LOT of little creatures, just strange monster things. Not sure if they count as OCs, most aren't even named or I only drew once or twice, but I do love me a creature

roots: when we discussed making your oc Eduardo a boyfriend who would have started out as his pimp then a sugar daddy, I jumped on the opportunity because I had wanted for a big while to make a pimp character, like not a "realistic" one who are super fucked up people who abuse their slaves they manipulate into thinking they help and love them and use all the money for themselves and let them suffer, but a cliché stereotype one who is just doing a living over horny people management while being horny himself and just wanting to have fun, so he needed THAT cliché pimp design with a big feather hat, a cane and fluffy furcoat, all while taking into account he is a calavera, one of your fictional species and so draw him respecting his anatomy but in my style. Allying such flamboyant colors and designs with such a "creepy" corpse-like look was very funny

texture : I do admit I didn't really think much, I imagine the fur is real and soft and the feather is "feathery" lmao but he probably has expansive fabrics for sure, like maybe a velvet fedora hat and an angora coat. Anything expensive fancy, soft and bright looking. He would never wear something sobre lmao not even at a funeral he would have black diamonds over a funky black suit and big ass hat XD

as for your question, i think out of everyone, i'd choose kazuha. before you say anything, i'm trying to not be as biased as i can since like kazuha is my favourite character ever— but yeah, i think i can accept the terms of living with the kaedehara kazuha. he's such a nice guy and although he's a very very lightweight and behind all that charming looks he's a pretty scary guy himself (cue that scene where he threatened that treasure hoarder in the archon quest that he'd brand his forehead with hot iron) i think i could actually survive living with him. he'd do his set of chores, i'd do mine, everyone gets their happy ending. if i were to live with my other favs like kuni and alhaitham i think i would just die. kuni would be rude as fuck and alhaitham would just bully his way out from doing our shared chores. i cannot deal with them. (i'm sorry my sweethearts i'll do you two justice one day)

I was gonna do another big tattoo on her thigh but I suck at designing tattoos so I just left it lol.

I had a lot of fun doing the glittery eyeshadow and glowing parts. I don't usually do eyelashes either, so that's neat. It's funky, I like it lol. Putting the yellow gradient in her hair was a great idea, I really like how it looks and it ties in the yellow well. I really tried to keep things purple, but the magenta took over lol.

This one i did 100% digitally and took almost six hours rip. I was messing around with the glitter for a long time though. Idk if i managed to make her glow and sparkle exactly how I wanted, but I think it looks nice enough

Ya know, her clothes are at almost 70% opacity still but like. It doesnt look like it.

Also I'm a dumb idiot and did the tattoo glowing effects by hand instead of using the light pen lol

IT’S FEBRUARY 28TH YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS

IT’S RARE DISEASE DAY!! YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I’ve done this once before, but that was YEARS ago and my following has doubled since then SO! I make a new post! Except I’m typing it out instead of drawing because I did NOT plan ahead for this like I was supposed to!

So! The day itself, The purpose of rare disease day is to bring awareness to rare diseases and help access to medical treatment and representation for individuals that need it, and gives folk an opportunity to educate people on some of these rare diseases and share the experiences they’ve had.

I got an interview for first hand experience and knowledge about a rare disease! Under the read more will be a (very long! Sorry!) education lesson about it. TW’s for eye related talk, hospital/medical talk and general biology stuff.

Hey Hello there is no interview it’s totally just me. I interviewed myself in the form of writing this and using my brain to remember things. I’ll be going through all the technical medical stuff first and then I’ll get to my personal experience.

I have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension.

A quick breakdown of those individual words for you:

Idiopathic - Relating to or denoting any disease or condition which arises spontaniously or for which the cause in unknown

Intracranial - Within the Skull. In ya noggin. Brain case. You get it.

Hypertension - Abnormally high blood pressure.

Put those together and the official definition is this: “Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a disorder related to high pressure in the brain. It causes signs and symptoms of a brain tumor. It is also sometimes called pseudotumor cerebri or benign intracranial hypertension.” [1] - This ananotated site also is the best for learning about IIH, if you don’t want to listen to me talk about my own experience/non-doctor type breakdown of it :)

The symptoms of IIH can present as the following:

- Blurry vision or Double vision, and in extreme cases, vision loss (especially in the peripheral vision)

- Dizzyness/nausea

- Vomiting

- Neck Stiffness

- Frequent headaches and/or Migranes

- Tinnitus (persistent ringing in the ears)

- Forgetfullness

- Depression

First thing that’s done is eye tests, specifically to check the back of the eye using retinal imaging (a big camera flashbangs you basically, it sucks.) to view the retina, optic disc (funky spot that holds the nerve) and blood vessels.

This is followed by Brain imaging with either an MRI or a CT scan to detect if there are any tumors present or anything else that could be causing the symptoms (plot twist, IIH is just your brain playing a funny prank to trick doctors into looking like you have a brain tumor when really, there’s nothing there)

After an MRI comes back clean, the next step is a Lumbar puncture (also called a spinal tap), to withdraw a sample of CSF (Cerebrospinal fluid - the juice that your brain sits in that’s also in your spine). This is to check the pressure in your spine and skull. The typical CSF opening pressure in an adult will range from 10-20 cmH2O.

Though a direct cause for IIH occuring is unknown, the CSF pressure is what’s responsible for the symptoms, high pressure in the skull can press against the optic nerve at the back of the eyes, resulting in the potential vision loss or blurred/double vision.

Treatments for IIH will vary depending on the severity of the case, but can include weight loss, medicine such as diuretics to filter excess fluid out of the body, having frequent spinal taps to remove excess fluid and reduce pressure, or having a shut surgically placed in the brain to drain fluid. 

Now that I’ve fried your brain with all that medical text book wordage, I will let u in on my fun little tale of my relationship with IIH.

Which starts with me breaking my glasses lmao.

I was in university, I woke up one morning, and I got out of bed and stood directly on my glasses that were on the floor. So I thought ‘fuck ok well I might as well go get an eye test if I need new glasses anyway’ so I stumble my way into town and the optician was so empty they just took me in for an eye test straight away. And they had recently gotten upgraded equiptment to capture detailed imaging of your eyes to detect if there are any health issues that could be imparing sight, and so snap snap I get flashbanged with camera lights and they discovered that some of the blood vessles in the back of my eyeballs were burst, so he wrote a note, and sent me straight to the ER.

I get there, they look me over, do some standard eye tests and send me up to Opthamology (eye doctors) who read the note and send me straight to Neurology (brain doctors) who put me straight in the metal magnet tube (MRI). And as well as confirming that I do definitely have a brain, there is also 100% no tumors hiding in the brain wrinkles either. After that they slap me with the diagnosis and book me in for a spinal tap the next day. Now I mentioned what the average pressure should be for spinal fluid (between 10-20 cmH2O ), and mine was something around 25 cmH2O, which was the very bottom base line for IIH diagnosis, so by all account, I’m thankfully an incredibly mild case. 

 Another fun fact that contributed to my mildness is that I am totally asymptomatic. I haven’t experienced any of those symptoms I listed except tinnitus, but I’ve had that for as long as I can remember, so it wasn’t a symptom from the IIH. (Also certain I’ve had depression before the IIH too but w/e w/e not important they didn’t check me for that anyway)

Thankfully, this all lead to me only ever needing the one spinal tap during diagnosis, and I’m on a low dose of Acetazolomide medication which I can be taken off of once I lose some more weight :) I did used to see an Opthamologist and a Neurologist (I MISS YOU DR.BATHGATE U WERE SO COOL) regularly while I was still at uni but that stopped once I finished in 2018 and moved back home because the hospital in my city is shit and never actually picked up my referral. But tbh the constant hospital visits were not having the best effect on my mental health so it’s a bit of a tricky situation.

I’ve always made a point to be very open about this, so that I can educate those that are unaware or misinformed (I’ve even had to tell a few GP doctors about it!) and I am always open to any questions people have, be it about the diagnostic process or my own experience, and I highly encourage sharing the knowledge! It is still a widely unknown disorder and my hope is that shining enough light on these conditions will help give rare diseases the boost they need both in public awareness and to advance medical research.

Drawing Albedo in full took some time BECAUSE OF ALL THE DETAILS ON THIS MAN but it’s fine. I’m slowly getting used to his design! His boots are kind of funky…

Anyway my process here was basically pose sketch > cleaner sketch > base colours (all on top of a screen layer because the screenshot was too dark to see things clearly)

And then the fun part. AMBIENCE.

I made the glow of the fire to be warmer and brighter since I wanted more warm colours (and for Albedo to stare into a fire, whatever underlying message that might imply, haha…)

My layers look like this

But I think for this first one the airbrushed orange colour on the “haze” screen layer was too strong so the light on the boots ended up too hazy for my preference (not shiny enough). Must’ve added shading to bring out the form instead of just the overlay lighting with airbrush… The highlights on colour dodge make the gloves and boots look more shiny which is nice. I also added some teal behind Albedo so the background isn’t too dark and has a softer look.

By now I’ve also added a snow layer. Originally I tried using motion blur on the snow but then it looked like Albedo was stranded in a snowstorm instead of just sitting there, reflecting and being sad. It’s… a Contemplation in Snow you could say lmao

And finally, the dialogue, because I love writing dialogues. Let’s see… Technical stuff aside, I went to Dragonspine for comfort, a change of scenery, and for some nice music (I know the region’s OSTs so well I can almost name each over world track by ear lmao)

“Although a dangerous place, this mountain provides me an odd sense of comfort.”

“I suppose you can call it an escape from life’s… complexities.”

“How does it feel to be sleeping beneath the snow like this, Durin?”

Since this was meant for stress relief due to personal reasons, the first two lines reflect my feelings directly for Dragonspine. Now, the line about Durin was meant to show a sort of emotional (?) connection Albedo has with Durin, and hinting at him worrying that he might die on the mountain under maybe the Traveler’s blade. (“If one day I lose control…” Y’know how it goes.)

Out of the three lines, I came up with this line first, actually... Metaphorically speaking, it’s about my… loneliness? It’s rare for me to find people in my friend circle that enjoy media and/or literary analysis on this stuff, so sometimes I feel this way. (But not to such a dark extent, of course!)

Other lines I had considered were something along the lines of a physical report (something I do when I’m nervous, for example checking my pulse) like,

“Breathing: Difficult. Heartbeat: Escalating.”

“How should I return these vital signs to normal, exactly?”

But since it was originally just meant to be a self-indulgent “project onto Albedo because I’m sad” thing, I decided to go the usual way of feelings and metaphors… Me talking about my art process does sound rather analytical but trust me when I say my poetry is filled with extended metaphors. (You can find more of them on IG under the same handle.)

i think roleplaying blogverse was like, literally the best fun i had ever. i had just came onto tumblr and bv shandy was my first blog, and the one that convinced me to stay on this hellsite even after bv ended. recently, i looked through the tags of all my characters and was like :) but also REALLY SAD bc those were the good ol days lol.

i remember being younger (not by much, it just feels like a lot of time has passed) holed up in my room all day and staying up at night thinking about and drawing these little characters i molded like they were real, flesh and blood people. i remember making shitty drawings on my computer of oleander and bv shandy bc my ipad was broken at the time. i remember being so happy to rp or to chat with other bv members or the subjects to the chaos that was blogverse.

that was my life for a whole 2 months and goddamn it, it was fun. one of my coolest and oldest mutuals i literally only know bc she wrote a lorelcest fic! so yeah, the funky little rp your funky little fic accidentally started was basically my life that entire summer and i think has shaped me as a person, thx bye

This AU is called Inscryption devs because surprise surprise, it follows the development of Inscryption.

In my funky headcanons, there's been two main development teams for Inscryption. The first one had a bigger team who worked on some other GameFuna games, where everyone slowly either quit or met their fate in a... Sadder way. Generally I've always thought of the characters of Inscryption as being poor unfortunate souls rather than simply sentient AU, but both are fun! It's not like they would remember their past anyways. (If you wanna look for sentient AI in my headcanon, ya gotta look to the Hex. Big call-out post for everyone who got me into the Hex, SO worth it.)

But, then Inscryption gets shelved for a couple years. The office is full of rumors and no one is interested in really touching it, GameFuna is just glad to have the code. (tbh I don't fully know what it does, the ARG confuses me LMAO)

Then comes along Kaycee! She's been working there for a while, avid card game fan, and she's well liked for her dedication to the company and work on other games. After finding out about the Inscryption project, she grows incredibly intrigued by it, and convinces the company to give her a second chance with the game. However, she must work with a smaller team, to prove herself for now.

So, gets into the part where I get to be cringe - my original characters. The Inscryption developer team consists of..

Kaycee Hobbes, the project lead, dedicated and hardworking. She's an overworker with the tendancies to stay late and try to get a lot done on her own all at once. Despite her dependence on herself she's an understanding manager who won't let people walk all over her.

Spencer Kragen, the coder, put on this project as punishment. Spencer is the son of one of the higher ups at the company. Not only does he not want to be here, he's activley making it as insufferable as possible. Through the dedication of Kaycee and slowly learning others perspectives, the stuck up rich kid slowly becomes more accepting of those around him, and learns even a bit about himself.

Diana, the main story builder, is a loving mother of two twin girls. She is overall a very kind and loving figure, becoming a mother figure type to the rest of the group. She has to have a lot of her focus away from work, but she works very hard when she is there. However, when something catches her eye, it's unlikely she'll leave without finding all the details...

Last but not least, Akira! They are the main artist, and a nervous wreck. They tend to overwork a lot, desk full of concept doodles for what they could do with the story. When not working it's likely you'll find them bickering with Spencer. Overall, though, Akira is just a kind and dedicated gamer who is trying their best.

So that's the crew! They spend a good period of time developing the game, obviously, but when it comes down to it..

Everyone in this story is dead by the point of the main events of Inscryption.

It's just fun seeing how they got there! And if you think I write a single story without found family, you are so wrong. /Pos

This also leans into a lot of my headcanons if I am prompted to rant more, so get ready to see things such as the woodcarver as the scrybe of beasts, or just how P-03 acts. Plus uh, all of my Hex headcanons shoved in there, somehow.
