The paper provides 4 hypotheses with their explanations and proves – let's provide them in following

Hypothesis No. (1)

The space is created from one energy and this energy is provided by a light beam moves by a speed 1.16 million km per second – the speed is registered in the created space proves the speed is a fact.

The Gravitational Waves Are Produced By The Planets Motions Energies And Not By The Sun Gravitational Field– Moreover- The Sun Does NOT Produce A Gravitational Field And It Has No Massive Gravity-

Mars original orbit was between Mercury and Venus and Pluto was The Mercury Moon (Pluto size was equal Mercury size) But these two planets had migrated from their original orbits as a result for a collision- the planets migration caused a risk for the solar system geometrical design- Uranus and Jupiter the Two planets worked to repair the solar system design– that caused Jupiter orbit to be the main orbit in the solar system design- Jupiter orbit proves the speed 1.16 million km per second is a fact.

I-1 Preface (The Main Idea)

The solar system (planets and distances) is created from one energy and this energy is provided by one light beam and this light beam moves by speed (1.16 million km/s)

The space is created before the planets creation-

Let's write the whole story in following

The light beam (1.16 million km per second) started its motion from Mercury orbit moves toward Pluto orbit– by that– we consider Mercury orbit is the origin point-

Now- we should notice- No planet is created yet- the motion from Mercury orbit to Pluto orbit defines the motion direction- and No planet is created before this motion end nor during this motion- the planets will be created after this motion is finished means when the light 1.16 million km per second reaches to Pluto (orbit)- after this event – the planets will be created –as I will explain later

The light (1.16 million km per second) creates the distances by its motion- means- the light moves from Mercury point to Venus point– the distance from Mercury to Venus was not found and is created only by the light motion through it for first time- means – before the light motion this distance was NOT found- It's found after the light moves through this distance for first time-    

This is similar to the blood motion through the arteries, the blood creates these arteries and the blood moves through these arteries, but the blood created these arteries with its first motion and that needed energy- but – after the arteries creation the blood move through them without any energy is required- means- the first motion is the most important one because by it the arteries are created

Let's give example to explain this idea

Imagine we create A Sea Of Water- we use energy to create this sea of water- now we have some energy and we use this energy to create this sea of water- BUT- our energy is NOT spent completely But there's a small part still rest with us – this small part of energy is used to create one wave moves through this sea and this wave speed is 300000 km/s (I suppose the space is similar to the sea of water)

Now – the rest energy is found in one light beam its speed 300000 km/s and this light beam is found NOW in Pluto Orbit – and this light beam will be reflected from Pluto orbit toward the inner planets– means- the rest energy will move in the reflected direction to the original light motion direction.

Simply the light uses a distance as (a period of time) and travels through this period another distance- that can be understood clearly from Jupiter distances- let's look deeply as possible

The light beam (1.16 million km per second) uses the period 629 seconds to pass a new distance = 729 million km (Mercury Jupiter distance is 721 million km error 1%) – where 629 million km = Jupiter Earth distance

The light beam (1.16 million km per second) uses the period 671 seconds to pas a new distance =778.6 million km (Jupiter orbital distance) 

where 671 million km = Jupiter Venus distance

by this method the light creates the distances based on each other- and that makes all distances to be created depends on one another and that makes all distances in the solar system to be One Network where all distances are created based on the same One Geometrical Design

Mars had migrated from its original orbit (Mars original orbit was between Mercury and Venus) and Pluto had migrated also (Pluto Was The Mercury Moon revolves around Mercury and Pluto size was equal Mercury size)

The planets migration caused a serious risk for the solar system geometrical design- Uranus was the first planet tried to repair the solar system geometrical design and to save it- by that

Uranus created a vertical effect on Jupiter orbit to fix Jupiter in its orbit and prevent it to migrate with the migrant planets- and based on Jupiter orbit the other planets orbits are modified – that supported the solar system original design and saved it which causes to protect the geometrical design from the destruction.

The previous explanation told us that we have 2 light beams-

The original light beam its speed (1.16 million km per second) and it started its motion from Mercury orbit to Pluto orbit (where Mercury orbit is the light motion origin point) – and this light beam created all distances in the solar system and lost its energy in the space creation process and the rest energy is one light beam its speed is (C=300000 km/s)

The other light beam is the rest energy- its speed is (C=300000 km/s) and it moves in a reflected direction from Pluto toward Venus and Mercury-

Now – we have a coherence of light between these two light beams- the coherence is proved by powerful proves BUT firstly we have to ask (how can this coherence be occurred)? Because the original light (1.16 million km/s) is consumed and its energy is used already and the rest energy is this light its speed is (300000 km/s) - HOW can the light (1.16 million km/s) meet the light (300000 km/s)??

Imagine we have (116 dollars) and we spent all money except (30 dollars)- how can this (30 dollars) meet the original money (116 dollars)??

That tells, if this motion moves in (x axis negative "-x ") that will cause Neptune diameter to be changed or perished

Means- the matter creation needs a motion in A Defined Direction

Why Can't The matter (creature) Moves Toward Its Past?

Discussion - the data tells the idea clearly, it tells 

The distances in the solar system is created together based on one design and by one motion- this one motion is the light motion (1.16 million km per second) and the light creates the distance and after that the light uses the created distance as a period of time to create another distance, and by that, the light created all distances in one network together based on one geometrical design and this creation of the distances is done before any planet creation- the data clearly and strongly proves the hypothesis. 

NOTICE - The total distances in the solar system (the orbital and inner distances) are 45 distances, the previous data used almost 50% of these distances (because many distances are equal in the solar group – for example – (Saturn orbital distance = Mars orbital circumference)- this distances equality makes the previous data behave in place of around 50% of all distances- and no logic to suppose these all distances are rated by the way with the rate (1.16)!!

The logical explanation is my theory I have explained- the light (1.16 million km per second) creates the distances based on one another by using the distances as periods of time - Also this behaviors is typical to the behavior of the known speed of light (300000 km/s)– as we have seen before - During 2094 seconds the light (300000 km/s) moves 629 million km (=Jupiter Earth distance) where 2094 million km (= Jupiter Uranus distance)- Simply it's typical behaviors tells the fact that the speed 1.16 million km per second is real fact and used in the solar system design)

Uranus sent a light beam its speed (1.16 million km per second) to Jupiter for that Uranus velocity and Jupiter velocity both depends on the speed (1.16 million km per second)

Jupiter should move a distance 1.16 million km per solar day (24h) BUT Mars effect created more problems and caused Jupiter to use (Mars rotation period 24.6h) in place of the solar day and decreased the velocity with 2.5%

Uranus moves a distance 1.16 million km (in TWO solar days- error 1.3%)

The solar system basic design depends on (two seconds and not one second) as I explained in details in the fourth hypothesis of this paper- now – the system design uses two seconds in place of one second because Uranus moves the required distance 1.16 million in two days

Shortly – the force which is sent from Uranus to Jupiter was a light beam its speed 1.16 million km per second and by this force Jupiter helped the solar system and supported the planets in their orbits to prevent more migration in the solar system

Utah’s getting some of America’s best broadband

TOMORROW (May 17), I'm at the INTERNET ARCHIVE in SAN FRANCISCO to keynote the 10th anniversary of the AUTHORS ALLIANCE.

Residents of 21 cities in Utah have access to some of the fastest, most competitively priced broadband in the country, at speeds up to 10gb/s and prices as low as $75/month. It's uncapped, and the connections are symmetrical: perfect for uploading and downloading. And it's all thanks to the government.

This broadband service is, of course, delivered via fiber optic cable. Of course it is. Fiber is vastly superior to all other forms of broadband delivery, including satellites, but also cable and DSL. Fiber caps out at 100tb/s, while cable caps out at 50gb/s – that is, fiber is 1,000 times faster:

Despite the obvious superiority of fiber, America has been very slow to adopt it. Our monopolistic carriers act as though pulling fiber to our homes is an impossible challenge. All those wires that currently go to your house, from power-lines to copper phone-lines, are relics of a mysterious, fallen civilization and its long-lost arts. Apparently we could no more get a new wire to your house than we could build the pyramids using only hand-tools.

In a sense, the people who say we can't pull wires anymore are right: these are relics of a lost civilization. Specifically, electrification and later, universal telephone service was accomplished through massive federal grants under the New Deal – grants that were typically made to either local governments or non-profit co-operatives who got everyone in town connected to these essential modern utilities.

Today – thanks to decades of neoliberalism and its dogmatic insistence that governments can't do anything and shouldn't try, lest they break the fragile equilibrium of the market – we have lost much of the public capacity that our grandparents took for granted. But in the isolated pockets where this capacity lives on, amazing things happen.

Since 2015, residents of Jackson County, KY – one of the poorest counties in America – have enjoyed some of the country's fastest, cheapest, most reliable broadband. The desperately poor Appalachian county is home to a rural telephone co-op, which grew out of its rural electrification co-op, and it used a combination of federal grants and local capacity to bring fiber to every home in the county, traversing dangerous mountain passes with a mule named "Ole Bub" to reach the most remote homes. The result was an immediately economic uplift for the community, and in the longer term, the county had reliable and effective broadband during the covid lockdowns:

Contrast this with places where the private sector has the only say over who gets broadband, at what speed, and at what price. America is full of broadband deserts – deserts that strand our poorest people. Even in the hearts of our largest densest cities, whole neighborhoods can't get any broadband. You won't be surprised to learn that these are the neighborhoods that were historically redlined, and that the people who live in them are Black and brown, and also live with some of the highest levels of pollution and its attendant sicknesses:

These places are not set up for success under the best of circumstances, and during the lockdowns, they suffered terribly. You think your kid found it hard to go to Zoom school? Imagine what life was like for kids who attended remote learning while sitting on the baking tarmac in a Taco Bell parking lot, using its free wifi:

ISPs loathe competition. They divide up the country into exclusive territories like the Pope dividing up the "new world" and do not trouble one another by trying to sell to customers outside of "their" turf. When Frontier – one of the worst of America's terrible ISPs – went bankrupt, we got to see their books, and we learned two important facts:

The company booked one million customers who had no alternative as an asset, because they would pay more for slower broadband, and Frontier could save a fortune by skipping maintenance, and charging these customers for broadband even through multi-day outages; and

Frontier knew that it could make a billion dollars in profit over a decade by investing in fiber build-out, but it chose not to, because stock analysts will downrank any carrier that made capital investments that took more than five years to mature. Because Frontier's execs were paid primarily in stock, they chose to strand their customers with aging copper connections and to leave a billion dollars sitting on the table, so that their personal net worth didn't suffer a temporary downturn:

ISPs maintain the weirdest position: that a) only the private sector can deliver broadband effectively, but b) to do so, they'll need massive, unsupervised, no-strings-attached government handouts. For years, America went along with this improbable scheme, which is why Trump's FCC chairman Ajit Pai gave the carriers $45 billion in public funds to string slow, 19th-century-style copper lines across rural America:

Now, this is obviously untrue, and people keep figuring out that publicly provisioned broadband is the only way for America to get the same standard of broadband connectivity that our cousins in other high-income nations enjoy. In order to thwart the public's will, the cable and telco lobbyists joined ALEC, the far-right, corporatist lobbying shop, and drafted "model legislation" banning cities and counties from providing broadband, even in places the carriers chose not to serve:

Red states across America adopted these rules, and legislators sold this to their base by saying that this was just "keeping the government out of their internet" (even as every carrier relied on an exclusive, government-granted territorial charter, often with massive government subsidies).

ALEC didn't target red states exclusively because they had pliable, bribable conservative lawmakers. Red states trend rural, and rural places are the most likely sites for public fiber. Partly, that's because low-density areas are harder to make a business case for, but also because these are also the places that got electricity and telephone through New Deal co-ops, which are often still in place.

Just about the only places in America where people like their internet service are the 450+ small towns where the local government provides fiber. These places vote solidly Republican, and it was their beloved conservative lawmakers whom ALEC targeted to enact laws banning their equally beloved fiber – keep voting for Christmas, turkeys, and see where it gets you:

But spare a little sympathy for the conservative movement here. The fact that reality has a pronounced leftist bias must be really frustrating for the ideological project of insisting that anything the market can't provide is literally impossible.

Which brings me back to Utah, a red state with a Republican governor and legislature, and a national leader in passing unconstitutional, unhinged, unworkable legislation as part of an elaborate culture war kabuki:

UTOPIA pursues a hybrid model: they run "open access" fiber and then let anyone offer service over it. This can deliver the best of both worlds: publicly provisioned, blazing-fast fiber to your home, but with service provided by your choice of competing carriers. That means that if Moms for Liberty captures you local government, you're not captive to their ideas about what sites your ISP should block.

As Karl Bode writes for Techdirt, Utahns in UTOPIA regions have their choice of 18 carriers, and competition has driven down prices and increased speeds. Want uncapped 1gb fiber? That's $75/month. Want 10gb fiber? That's $150:

UTOPIA's path to glory wasn't an easy one. The dismal telco monopolists Qwest and Lumen sued to put them out of business, delaying the rollout by years:

UTOPIA has been profitable and self-sustaining for over 15 years and shows no sign of slowing. But 17 states still ban any attempt at this.

Keeping up such an obviously bad policy requires a steady stream of distractions and lies. The "government broadband doesn't work" lie has worn thin, so we've gotten a string of new lies about wireless service, insisting that fiber is obviated by point-to-point microwave relays, or 5g, or satellite service.

There's plenty of places where these services make sense. You're not going to be able to use fiber in a moving car, so yeah, you're going to want 5g (and those 5g towers are going to need to be connected to each other with fiber). Microwave relay service can fill the gap until fiber can be brought in, and it's great for temporary sites (especially in places where it doesn't rain, because rain, clouds, leaves and other obstructions are deadly for microwave relays). Satellite can make sense for an RV or a boat or remote scientific station.

But wireless services are orders of magnitude slower than fiber. With satellite service, you share your bandwidth with an entire region or even a state. If there's only a couple of users in your satellite's footprint, you might get great service, but when your carrier adds a thousand more customers, your connection is sliced into a thousand pieces.

That's also true for everyone sharing your fiber trunk, but the difference is that your fiber trunk supports speeds that are tens of thousands of times faster than the maximum speeds we can put through freespace electromagnetic spectrum. If we need more fiber capacity, we can just fish a new strand of fiber through the conduit. And while you can increase the capacity of wireless by increasing your power and bandwidth, at a certain point you start pump so much EM into the air that birds start falling out of the sky.

Every wireless device in a region shares the same electromagnetic spectrum, and we are only issued one such spectrum per universe. Each strand of fiber, by contrast, has its own little pocket universe, containing a subset of that spectrum.

Despite all its disadvantages, satellite broadband has one distinct advantage, at least from an investor's perspective: it can be monopolized. Just as we only have one electromagnetic spectrum, we also only have one sky, and the satellite density needed to sustain a colorably fast broadband speed pushes the limit of that shared sky:

Private investors love monopoly telecoms providers, because, like pre-bankruptcy Frontier, they are too big to care. Back in 2021, Altice – the fourth-largest cable operator in America – announced that it was slashing its broadband speeds, to be "in line with other ISPs":

In other words: "We've figured out that our competitors are so much worse than we are that we are deliberately degrading our service because we know you will still pay us the same for less."

This is why corporate shills and pro-monopolists prefer satellite to municipal fiber. Sure, it's orders of magnitude slower than fiber. Sure, it costs subscribers far more. Sure, it's less reliable. But boy oh boy is it profitable.

The thing is, reality has a pronounced leftist bias. No amount of market magic will conjure up new electromagnetic spectra that will allow satellite to attain parity with fiber. Physics hates Starlink.

Yeah, I'm talking about Starlink. Of course I am. Elon Musk basically claims that his business genius can triumph over physics itself.

That's not the only vast, impersonal, implacable force that Musk claims he can best with his incredible reality-distortion field. Musk also claims that he can somehow add so many cars to the road that he will end traffic – in other words, he will best geometry too:

Geometry hates Tesla, and physics hates Starlink. Reality has a leftist bias. The future is fiber, and public transit. These are both vastly preferable, more efficient, safer, more reliable and more plausible than satellite and private vehicles. Their only disadvantage is that they fail to give an easily gulled, thin-skinned compulsive liar more power over billions of people. That's a disadvantage I can live with.

So I don't know how people on this app feel about the shit-house that is TikTok but in the US right now the ban they're trying to implement on it is a complete red herring and it needs to be stopped.

They are quite literally trying to implement Patriot Act 2.0 with the RESTRICT Act and using TikTok and China to scare the American public into buying into it wholesale when this shit will change the face of the internet. Here are some excerpts from what the bill would cover on the Infrastructure side:

SEC. 5. Considerations.

(a) Priority information and communications technology areas.—In carrying out sections 3 and 4, the Secretary shall prioritize evaluation of— (1) information and communications technology products or services used by a party to a covered transaction in a sector designated as critical infrastructure in Policy Directive 21 (February 12, 2013; relating to critical infrastructure security and resilience);

(2) software, hardware, or any other product or service integral to telecommunications products and services, including— (A) wireless local area networks;

(B) mobile networks;

(C) satellite payloads;

(D) satellite operations and control;

(E) cable access points;

(F) wireline access points;

(G) core networking systems;

(H) long-, short-, and back-haul networks; or

(I) edge computer platforms;

(3) any software, hardware, or any other product or service integral to data hosting or computing service that uses, processes, or retains, or is expected to use, process, or retain, sensitive personal data with respect to greater than 1,000,000 persons in the United States at any point during the year period preceding the date on which the covered transaction is referred to the Secretary for review or the Secretary initiates review of the covered transaction, including— (A) internet hosting services;

(B) cloud-based or distributed computing and data storage;

(C) machine learning, predictive analytics, and data science products and services, including those involving the provision of services to assist a party utilize, manage, or maintain open-source software;

(D) managed services; and

(E) content delivery services;

(4) internet- or network-enabled sensors, webcams, end-point surveillance or monitoring devices, modems and home networking devices if greater than 1,000,000 units have been sold to persons in the United States at any point during the year period preceding the date on which the covered transaction is referred to the Secretary for review or the Secretary initiates review of the covered transaction;

(5) unmanned vehicles, including drones and other aerials systems, autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles, or any other product or service integral to the provision, maintenance, or management of such products or services;

(6) software designed or used primarily for connecting with and communicating via the internet that is in use by greater than 1,000,000 persons in the United States at any point during the year period preceding the date on which the covered transaction is referred to the Secretary for review or the Secretary initiates review of the covered transaction, including— (A) desktop applications;

(B) mobile applications;

(C) gaming applications;

(D) payment applications; or

(E) web-based applications; or

(7) information and communications technology products and services integral to— (A) artificial intelligence and machine learning;

(B) quantum key distribution;

(C) quantum communications;

(D) quantum computing;

(E) post-quantum cryptography;

(F) autonomous systems;

(G) advanced robotics;

(H) biotechnology;

(I) synthetic biology;

(J) computational biology; and

(K) e-commerce technology and services, including any electronic techniques for accomplishing business transactions, online retail, internet-enabled logistics, internet-enabled payment technology, and online marketplaces.

(b) Considerations relating to undue and unacceptable risks.—In determining whether a covered transaction poses an undue or unacceptable risk under section 3(a) or 4(a), the Secretary— (1) shall, as the Secretary determines appropriate and in consultation with appropriate agency heads, consider, where available— (A) any removal or exclusion order issued by the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Secretary of Defense, or the Director of National Intelligence pursuant to recommendations of the Federal Acquisition Security Council pursuant to section 1323 of title 41, United States Code;

(B) any order or license revocation issued by the Federal Communications Commission with respect to a transacting party, or any consent decree imposed by the Federal Trade Commission with respect to a transacting party;

(C) any relevant provision of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Federal Acquisition Regulation, and the respective supplements to those regulations;

(D) any actual or potential threats to the execution of a national critical function identified by the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency;

(E) the nature, degree, and likelihood of consequence to the public and private sectors of the United States that would occur if vulnerabilities of the information and communications technologies services supply chain were to be exploited; and

(F) any other source of information that the Secretary determines appropriate; and

(2) may consider, where available, any relevant threat assessment or report prepared by the Director of National Intelligence completed or conducted at the request of the Secretary.

Look at that, does that look like it just covers the one app? NO! This would cover EVERYTHING that so much as LOOKS at the internet from the point this bill goes live.

It gets worse though, you wanna see what the penalties are?

(b) Civil penalties.—The Secretary may impose the following civil penalties on a person for each violation by that person of this Act or any regulation, order, direction, mitigation measure, prohibition, or other authorization issued under this Act: (1) A fine of not more than $250,000 or an amount that is twice the value of the transaction that is the basis of the violation with respect to which the penalty is imposed, whichever is greater. (2) Revocation of any mitigation measure or authorization issued under this Act to the person. (c) Criminal penalties.— (1) IN GENERAL.—A person who willfully commits, willfully attempts to commit, or willfully conspires to commit, or aids or abets in the commission of an unlawful act described in subsection (a) shall, upon conviction, be fined not more than $1,000,000, or if a natural person, may be imprisoned for not more than 20 years, or both. (2) CIVIL FORFEITURE.— (A) FORFEITURE.— (i) IN GENERAL.—Any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, used or intended to be used, in any manner, to commit or facilitate a violation or attempted violation described in paragraph (1) shall be subject to forfeiture to the United States. (ii) PROCEEDS.—Any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, constituting or traceable to the gross proceeds taken, obtained, or retained, in connection with or as a result of a violation or attempted violation described in paragraph (1) shall be subject to forfeiture to the United States. (B) PROCEDURE.—Seizures and forfeitures under this subsection shall be governed by the provisions of chapter 46 of title 18, United States Code, relating to civil forfeitures, except that such duties as are imposed on the Secretary of Treasury under the customs laws described in section 981(d) of title 18, United States Code, shall be performed by such officers, agents, and other persons as may be designated for that purpose by the Secretary of Homeland Security or the Attorney General. (3) CRIMINAL FORFEITURE.— (A) FORFEITURE.—Any person who is convicted under paragraph (1) shall, in addition to any other penalty, forfeit to the United States— (i) any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, used or intended to be used, in any manner, to commit or facilitate the violation or attempted violation of paragraph (1); and (ii) any property, real or personal, tangible or intangible, constituting or traceable to the gross proceeds taken, obtained, or retained, in connection with or as a result of the violation. (B) PROCEDURE.—The criminal forfeiture of property under this paragraph, including any seizure and disposition of the property, and any related judicial proceeding, shall be governed by the provisions of section 413 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 853), except subsections (a) and (d) of that section.

You read that right, you could be fined up to A MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS for knowingly violating the restrict act, so all those people telling you to "just use a VPN" to keep using TikTok? Guess what? That falls under the criminal guidelines of this bill and they're giving you some horrible fucking advice.

Also, VPN's as a whole, if this bill passes, will take a goddamn nose dive in this country because they are another thing that will be covered in this bill.

They chose the perfect name for it, RESTRICT, because that's what it's going to do to our freedoms in this so called "land of the free".

Please, if you are a United States citizen of voting age reach out to your legislature and tell them you do not want this to pass and you will vote against them in the next primary if it does. This is a make or break moment for you if you're younger. Do not allow your generation to suffer a second Patriot Act like those of us that unfortunately allowed for the first one to happen.

To fulfill my insufferable grey tribe quota after the antitrust post, there are some industries where the inherent monopoly is strong enough that corporate management is always going to be rent extractive in some form. Exclusive infrastructure is the most common form of this - many in the US live in broadband internet monopolies, where since private providers own the actual wire connections and building duplicate connections is incredibly wasteful, a lot of areas have only one provider who by metrics offers worse services at higher prices than in peer countries (tangent note: breaking them up nationally does nothing to address this locally) . There are still constraints - you can get hotspot internet, satellite internet, etc, these do bind prices - but they are weak.

Similar things apply to some public transit; private companies owning a subway line have a monopoly because you absolutely should not build a second line for competition's sake. They still have to price around alternate modes of transit, for sure, but depending on the city there is a "cost gap" they can extract rent from.

All of this is to say that some countries address this via price controls, and it works just fine! Tokyo's subway is managed by private companies, but the government directly intervenes in their pricing strategies, capping profit margins. Dozens of countries have price controls on various utilities. Any publicly owned company is, in a sense, doing price controls unless they are operating as a purely for-profit entity. There are costs paid by these policies, of course, but they absolutely can provide greater benefits than those costs.

Like everything else, price controls are actually just a tool in the box. They are often portrayed as theoretically impossible; that they are the slippery slope to central planning a la the USSR, and that they will necessarily blow up. If you were doing it for the whole economy it is true enough (*puts the 20 page essay on the evolution of GOSPLAN to the side with a sigh of remorse and longing*), but for individual goods it just isn't that hard to calculate the marginal price of a good, understand that price, and then subsidize it or w/e for your social end without blowing up your entire supply chain. This happens all the time, it is called a firm; all of them do internal price controls.

The problems with price controls are not that theoretical calculation debate stuff, but instead that governments just generally aren't very good at things and fuck shit up all the time. Sometimes you need to do some kind of policy anyway, for some things markets do not work at all so you just gotta do your best. But price controls are exactly the kind of thing governments fuck up the most, and so using them needs to clear an exceptionally high bar. In practice, most problems never do. There is almost always another, better way to address the problem that will fuck up less. But it is just costs vs benefits in the end, it isn't a magic box. On the 213th day of "Israel's" ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces committed a total of 5 new massacres of Palestinian families, resulting in the deaths of no less than 52 Palestinians, mostly women and children, while another 90 others were wounded over the previous 24-hours.

It should be noted that as a result of the constant Israeli bombardment of Gaza's healthcare system, infrastructure, residential and commercial buildings, local paramedic and civil defense crews are unable to reach countless hundreds, even thousands of victims who remain trapped under the rubble, or who's bodies remain strewn across the streets of Gaza.

This leaves the official death toll vastly undercounted, as Gaza's healthcare officials are unable to accurately tally those killed and maimed in this genocide, which must be kept in mind when considering the scale of the mass murder.

Due to the Israeli occupation's attempts to pressure Qatar to put it's own pressure on the Hamas resistance movement to accept a bad deal, in bad faith negotiations, Al-Jazeera's satellite news network in Palestine was closed on Sunday, its offices raided and equipment seized.

The Israeli occupation's warrant included the confiscation of its broadcasting equipment, the prevention of the broadcasting of Al-Jazeera's reporting, and blocked its websites inside the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Israeli occupation's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, wrote "the government headed by me unanimously decided: the incitement channel Al-Jazeera will be closed in Israel."

In statement issued by Al-Jazeera, the news network condemned the closing of its offices in Palestine, describing the actions of the Israeli occupation as a "criminal act", warning that the entity's suppression of a free press "stands in direct contravention of International and humanitarian law."

"Al Jazeera Media Network strongly condemns and denounces this criminal act that violates human rights and the basic right to access of information. Al Jazeera affirms its right to continue to provide news and information to its global audiences," Al-Jazeera's statement reads.

"Israel’s ongoing suppression of the free press, seen as an effort to conceal its actions in the Gaza Strip, stands in contravention of international and humanitarian law. Israel’s direct targeting and killing of journalists, arrests, intimidation and threats will not deter Al Jazeera from its commitment to cover, whilst more than 140 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the beginning of the war on Gaza."

"The Network vehemently rejects the allegations presented by Israeli authorities suggesting professional media standards have been violated. It reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the values embodied by its Code of Ethics,” the Qatari news network added.

In the meantime, a fourth Israeli occupation soldier has died as a result of wounds sustained during a Hamas rocket attack launched from the Rafah area on Sunday, targeting an Israeli occupation military site in Kerem Shalom, in the south of the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to a report published by the Israeli public broadcaster, Channel 12, "Sergeant Michael Rozel, 18 years old from Rishon Lezion, a fighter in the 931st Battalion of the Nahal Brigade, fell yesterday (Sunday) in a barrage to Kerem Shalom."

The other three soldiers who were killed in the strike include:

Sergeant Reuven Mark Mordechai Assolin, 19 years old from Ra'anana, served as a soldier in the Shaked Battalion in the Givati Brigade. Sergeant Ido Testa, 19 years old from Jerusalem, served as a soldier in the Shaked Battalion in the Givati Brigade. Sergeant Tal Shavit, 21 years old from Kfar Giladi, served as a soldier in Battalion 931 in the Nahal Brigade.

In other news, Israeli army radio announced yesterday that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have begun the evacuation of Palestinian civilians from the Rafah area, in the southern Gaza Strip, forcing families living in tent cities to pack up their belongings and leave once again, this time in preparation for the occupation army's invasion of the city of Rafah.

The Israeli army radio said that the occupation forces began evacuating Palestinians from Rafah towards previously erected displacement concentration camps in the Khan Yunis and Al-Mawasi areas.

Both cities have been completely destroyed by previous occupation army operations in the south of Gaza, and little of either city's infrastructure remains. Only Rafah has not been completely obliterated.

According to analysis of satellite imagery, the Israeli occupation army deployed approximately 300 military vehicles near the Rafah border with the occupied Palestinian territories.

Rafah is currently the only home left for more than 1.4 million Palestinians, most of whom have been displaced from other areas in Gaza, where Israeli military operations have turned entire cities into rubble.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces greatly intensified its attacks on Palestinians over the last day, slaughtering entire families and destroying the few homes and buildings that remain standing following 7 months of Israeli bombardment.

On Sunday evening, Israeli occupation warplanes bombed a Palestinian house belonging to the Al-Attar family in the Yabna Refugee Camp, located south of the city of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 5 civilians, including a woman and a child, while several others were wounded in the attack.

At the same time, IOF artillery detatchments shelled the southern areas of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, while civil defense personnel in the Gaza Governate recovered the decomposing bodies of five civilians belonging to the Al-Jaabari family, who were killed following the targeting of their home by the Israeli occupation army near the Palestinian stadium in the city.

Additionally, several Palestinians were killed on Sunday evening following the occupation's bombing of the Nuseirat Refugee Camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

According to local reports, occupation warplanes bombed a room housing displaced civilians in the Al-Jaouni School, belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine (UNRWA), located in the Nuseirat Camp, killing 6 civilians and maiming several others.

The horrors continued into dawn on Monday, with at least 22 Palestinians killed, including 8 children, as a result of the Israeli occupation's targeting of 11 residential homes in Rafah over the last day.

In one example, occupation aircraft bombed a residential house belonging to the Abu Lebda family, in the Al-Geneina neighborhood, east of Rafah City, resulting in the deaths of 4 civilians, including at least two children.

Similarly, occupation forces bombed another home belonging to the Qishta family in the Al-Salam neighborhood, opposite the Haroun Al-Rashid Mosque, east of the city of Rafah, slaughtering 9 civilians, including 4 children, one of whom, Hani Qishta, was born and died during the duration of the war.

The IOF raids went on to bomb a civilian house belonging to the Al-Hashash family in the Oreibo neighborhood, north of Rafah City, while another bombing targeted the home of the Shteiwi family, east of Rafah.

The fighter jets of the Zionist occupation forces continued with their bombing by targeting a residential home belonging to the Ermilat family, in the vicinity of the Al-Tawhid Mosque, in the Al-Salam neighborhood east of Rafah, and also bombed the residential home of the Al-Kawaja family, in the Al-Bilbisi area, also east of Rafah.

Yet another attack occured with the targeting of the Abu Hashem family in the Al-Zuhur neighborhood, north of Rafah, wounding a number of civilians.

A house in the Al-Fokhari neighborhood of Khan Yunis was also bombed and destroyed by the IOF.

Further airstrikes were recorded targeting areas of Khirbet al-Adas, northeast of Rafah, while occupation artillery forces also shelled the eastern neighborhoods of the city of Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, inflicting incredible damage, while also killing and wounding several civilians.

Israeli air forces went on to bombard residential homes in the towns of Beit Lahiya and Beit Hanoun, in the northern axis of the Palestinian enclave.

Israeli aircraft also launched several firebelts targeting the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City.

The carnage went on with several bombardments in central Gaza as well, including a bombing which targeted near the Istiqama Mosque, south of the Maghazi Refugee Camp, martyring one civilian and wounding several others, while occupation fighter jets additionally bombed several homes in the village of Al-Mughraqa, also in central Gaza.

As a result of the Israeli occupation's ongoing special genocide operation in the Gaza Strip, the death toll among the local population has risen to exceed 34'735, including over 14'560 children and 9'582 women, while another 78'108 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression, beginning with the events of October 7th, 2023.

X missed a deadline imposed by Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes to name a legal representative in Brazil, triggering the suspension. It marks an escalation in the monthslong feud between Musk and de Moraes over free speech, far-right accounts and misinformation.

To block X, Brazil’s telecommunications regulator, Anatel, told internet service providers to suspend users’ access to the social media platform. As of Saturday at midnight local time, major operators began doing so.

De Moraes had warned Musk on Wednesday night that X could be blocked in Brazil if he failed to comply with his order to name a representative, and established a 24-hour deadline. The company hasn’t had a representative in the country since earlier this month.

“Elon Musk showed his total disrespect for Brazilian sovereignty and, in particular, for the judiciary, setting himself up as a true supranational entity and immune to the laws of each country,” de Moraes wrote in his decision on Friday.

The justice said the platform will stay suspended until it complies with his orders, and also set a daily fine of 50,000 reais ($8,900) for people or companies using VPNs to access it.

In a later ruling, he backtracked on his initial decision to establish a 5-day deadline for internet service providers themselves — and not just the telecommunications regulator — to block access to X, as well as his directive for app stores to remove virtual private networks, or VPNs.

The dispute also led to the freezing this week of the bank accounts in Brazil of Musk's satellite internet provider Starlink.

Mysterious Flash Over Kyiv, Ukraine

A mysterious flash which lit up skies over Ukraine's capital on Wednesday night generated much speculation.

Officials in Kyiv initially suspected it was a Nasa satellite falling to Earth but the US space agency said it was still in orbit.

Ukrainian space officials said later the flash had probably come from a meteor entering the atmosphere.

The air force was confident it was not a Russian air attack - an event all too familiar since the invasion last year.

The bright glow was observed in the sky over the capital around 22:00 local time (19:00 GMT).

An air raid alert was activated but "air defence was not in operation", the head of Kyiv's military administration, Serhiy Popko.

Imagine we create A Sea Of Water- we use energy to create this sea of water- now we have some energy and we use this energy to create this sea of water- BUT- our energy is NOT spent completely But there's a small part still rest with us – this small part of energy is used to create one wave moves through this sea and this wave speed is 300000 km/s (I suppose the space is similar to the sea of water)

Now – the rest energy is found in one light beam its speed 300000 km/s and this light beam is found NOW in Pluto Orbit – and this light beam will be reflected from Pluto orbit toward the inner planets– means- the rest energy will move in the reflected direction to the original light motion direction.

The light beam (1.16 million km per second) uses the period 629 seconds to pass a new distance = 729 million km (Mercury Jupiter distance is 721 million km error 1%) – where 629 million km = Jupiter Earth distance

The previous explanation told us that we have 2 light beams-

The original light beam its speed (1.16 million km per second) and it started its motion from Mercury orbit to Pluto orbit (where Mercury orbit is the light motion origin point) – and this light beam created all distances in the solar system and lost its energy in the space creation process and the rest energy is one light beam its speed is (C=300000 km/s)

The other light beam is the rest energy- its speed is (C=300000 km/s) and it moves in a reflected direction from Pluto toward Venus and Mercury-

Now – we have a coherence of light between these two light beams- the coherence is proved by powerful proves BUT firstly we have to ask (how can this coherence be occurred)? Because the original light (1.16 million km/s) is consumed and its energy is used already and the rest energy is this light its speed is (300000 km/s) - HOW can the light (1.16 million km/s) meet the light (300000 km/s)??

Imagine we have (116 dollars) and we spent all money except (30 dollars)- how can this (30 dollars) meet the original money (116 dollars)??

Now The velocity is a motion in (A Defined Direction)

Means– the matter is created because it depends on a motion in a defined direction- as we have seen- Neptune diameter is 49528 km because Neptune velocity is 5.4 km/s but this velocity is a motion in defined direction- and that tells Neptune creation depends on a motion in the direction of the (x axis positive "+x ") (for example)

That tells, if this motion moves in (x axis negative "-x ") that will cause Neptune diameter to be changed or perished

Why Can't The matter (creature) Moves Toward Its Past?

Because the matter depends on a motion in one defined direction- that causes the matter moves into (the future) always and can't move into (the past) let's discuss this question more deeply in point no (I-6)

Discussion - the data tells the idea clearly, it tells 

The distances in the solar system is created together based on one design and by one motion- this one motion is the light motion (1.16 million km per second) and the light creates the distance and after that the light uses the created distance as a period of time to create another distance, and by that, the light created all distances in one network together based on one geometrical design and this creation of the distances is done before any planet creation- the data clearly and strongly proves the hypothesis. 

NOTICE - The total distances in the solar system (the orbital and inner distances) are 45 distances, the previous data used almost 50% of these distances (because many distances are equal in the solar group – for example – (Saturn orbital distance = Mars orbital circumference)- this distances equality makes the previous data behave in place of around 50% of all distances- and no logic to suppose these all distances are rated by the way with the rate (1.16)!!

The logical explanation is my theory I have explained- the light (1.16 million km per second) creates the distances based on one another by using the distances as periods of time - Also this behaviors is typical to the behavior of the known speed of light (300000 km/s)– as we have seen before - During 2094 seconds the light (300000 km/s) moves 629 million km (=Jupiter Earth distance) where 2094 million km (= Jupiter Uranus distance)- Simply it's typical behaviors tells the fact that the speed 1.16 million km per second is real fact and used in the solar system design)

By this equation the space and time are created- because it shows the coherence of light between the light (1.16 million km per second) and the light (300000 km/s)

The equation tells – the space is created in curves (2π) and the time is created in units each unit = (24 hours)

Shortly- the time essential units are 2 units (the second and 24 hours) because of the rate of time (one second of light clock = 24 hours of planet clock) by that the period of the (one second) (for light motion) is comparable with (24 hours) for planet motion that means- the period (24 hours) is one unit can't be divided and it's similar to the second period which is a unit can't be divided

Data no.(B) 1.16 million km per second x 86400 seconds = 100733 million km

The data tells the light (1.16 million km per second) moves in solar day (24 hours=  86400 seconds) a distance = 100733 million km = The Planets Orbital Circumferences Total - that proves the solar planets orbits creation is done by the motion of this light beam (1.16 million km per second) - the data proves the solar system design depends on this light motion.

The data tells, the light (1.16 million km per second) moves in 4224 seconds a distance = 4900 million km = Jupiter Orbital Circumference

But – Mercury day period is 4222.6 hours (4224 hours approximately)

If (one second of light clock = one hour of Mercury clock), that will make the period (4224 s) as Mercury day period – and – we know that Mercury day period is the main period in the solar system because the sun rate of time is created based on it as I explain in the second and fourth hypotheses of this paper-

Shortly- while Mercury is the solar system head- Mercury day period is the main period in the solar system and this period is used for Jupiter orbital circumference because all planets orbits are defined based on Jupiter orbit after the planets migration- this fact is discussed in the third hypothesis is details – let's summarize it

Mars original orbit was between Mercury and Venus, and Pluto was the Mercury moon, and Pluto size was equal Mercury size- But- Mars and Pluto had migrated from their orbits- the planets migration caused serious risk for the solar system geometrical design- And Uranus provides a vertical effect on Jupiter to fix it in its orbit and prevent Jupiter to migrate with the migrant planets- after Jupiter be fixed in its orbit all other planets redefined their orbits according to Jupiter orbit – by that – Jupiter orbit be the most important distance in the solar system-  

Notice- later Uranus caused to create Saturn to support Jupiter role- Saturn creation is done after the Earth moon creation because the energy reflection caused this delaying  

The data shows how the solar system design depends on Jupiter orbit

The data supports the same idea- Jupiter and Pluto orbits create the general design of the solar system- because Jupiter is the main orbit in it and Pluto the last orbit.

5906 million km              = Pluto orbital distance

778.6 million km             = Jupiter orbital distance

1.1318 million km           = Jupiter motion distance per solar day

0.3 million km                = speed of light 300000 km/s

The data shows the distribution of Jupiter and Pluto orbits are in proportionality with speed of light (300000 km/s) and speed of (1.16 million km per second)

BUT the data shows Jupiter velocity daily (1.1318 million km per day) in place of the speed of light (1.16 million km per second) Why??

Another question asks (Why do all Jupiter distances depend on the speed of light 1.16 million km per second?) as we have seen in the previous proof No. (1-10)?

The story told the facts, Uranus provided effect on Jupiter and as a result Jupiter orbit be used as the main orbit in the solar system- BUT- what's this effect Uranus provided on Jupiter? What had happened really?

Uranus sent a light beam its speed (1.16 million km per second) to Jupiter for that Uranus velocity and Jupiter velocity both depends on the speed (1.16 million km per second)

Jupiter should move a distance 1.16 million km per solar day (24h) BUT Mars effect created more problems and caused Jupiter to use (Mars rotation period 24.6h) in place of the solar day and decreased the velocity with 2.5%

Uranus moves a distance 1.16 million km (in TWO solar days- error 1.3%)

The solar system basic design depends on (two seconds and not one second) as I explained in details in the fourth hypothesis of this paper- now – the system design uses two seconds in place of one second because Uranus moves the required distance 1.16 million in two days

Shortly – the force which is sent from Uranus to Jupiter was a light beam its speed 1.16 million km per second and by this force Jupiter helped the solar system and supported the planets in their orbits to prevent more migration in the solar system

These distances are rated each other with (1.0725) this rate is created by Lorentz length contraction effect (as I supposed and proved)- but – regardless this rate reason the question is – How can all these distances be effected by this rate together?

That can be possible only if (these distances are parts of one design and this design is effected by this rate as a result all distances be effected together)    

The data proves the distances are created together based on one design and the distances are effected together by the same one effect – shortly- these distance can NOT be independent from one another but they are one group created based on one design.

14413 x 24 x 300000 km/s = 103773 million km

The planets orbital circumferences total is 100733 million km  

Between 103773 mkm and 100733 mkm the error is (3%)

Pluto follows the rule perfectly- the light passes a distance = Pluto orbital circumference + all previous planets orbital circumferences = the planets orbital circumferences total

(2) Neptune Data

59800 days (Neptune orbital period) /(2π) = 9517 days

9517 x 24 x 300000 km/s = 68526 million km = (2 x 18048) + 32400

The distance 2 x 18048 million km = all planets orbital circumferences total before Neptune

32400 mkm = 1.16 mkm/s x 28244 seconds 

28244 million km = Neptune orbital circumference

Neptune follows the rule perfectly but because of the energy reflection the speed (1.16 mkm/s) is used one additional time- clearly we see Neptune follows perfectly the rule   

(3) Uranus Data

30589 days (Uranus orbital period) /(2π) = 4868 days

4868 x 24 x 300000 km/s = 17600 million km x 2

18048 million km (Uranus Orbital Circumference) (error 2.5%)

Uranus follows the rule perfectly because Uranus orbital circumference =18048 mkm and all previous planets orbital circumferences total is = 18048 mkm

(4) Saturn Data

10747 days (Saturn orbital period) /(2π) = 1710 days

1710 x 24 x 300000 km/s = 12312 million km

Jupiter orbit (4900) + Saturn orbit (9000) = 14000 million km

Light (1.16 million km/s) x 12312 seconds = 14282 million km

Means

The value (12312) equal (Jupiter orbital circumference)+Saturn orbital circumference

But the reflection of energy uses the speed of light (1.16) to have effect on the data

That tells Saturn follows the rule

28244 mkm = Neptune orbital circumference – that tells the confusion in Saturn data is done by Neptune orbit effect

That tells we have opposite positions between (Neptune and Saturn) and the light connects them together by one motion- 

The data tells simply (A x 1.16 and B/1.16) this is effect of one light beam motion through both points.

687 x 24 x 300000 km/s = 4900 million km

Jupiter orbital circumference = 4900 million km

The distance equal Jupiter orbital circumference only without the previous planets BUT - The inner planets orbital circumferences total be = 4900 million km

Let's prove that

360 (Mercury) + 680 (Venus) +940 (Earth) + 1433 (Mars) = 3413 million km

4900 million km – 3413 million km = 1433 million km

That tells – the data supposes the Earth moon orbital circumference around the sun = Mars orbital circumference = 1433 million km

By that 360 + 680 +940 + 1433 + 1433 = 4846 million km = Jupiter orbital circumference (4900 mkm) (error 1%)

That shows deep interaction between Mars and Jupiter which is logical behavior because Mars is a migrant planet and Mars created an interaction with Jupiter to enable Mars to stay in its New orbit and prevent any more migration.

The equation modifications can NOT refute the theory because the modifications depend on geometrical constant as (π), or depend on the using of (C) or (C^2)- these values can't be considered new values nor change the rule because they are geometrical constants which shows modifications are done for the energy- for example- the energy reflection causes to square the speed, by that, the planets which us (C) have no reflection of energy but the planets use (C^2) are suffered from the energy reflection- Shortly- the modifications can't refute the theory- means- the data tells – planet orbital period is defined based on this planet diameter by effect of the speed of light

Jade is working on her degree in Astrophysics/Astronomy, doing a summer internship at a satellite array in Northern Scotland that sends readings back to various companies in Edinburgh (including a particular client that is very pushy for SETI-related work).

Karkat is working alongside Sollux, the pair serving as effectively a transmission tower and its operator in the search for potential imperial conquest victims.

Jade works alone, is isolated from the locals who can't quite get a read on her (lean hard into her weird anglo-scot grandpa upbringing and asian-coded heritage) so she quickly develops cabin fever.

Karkat resents his job as it leaves his friend in a near-constant state of fucked up sleep-telepathy, only does enough to keep them both from getting culled.

Jade still suffers from her narcolepsy, but since the work involves a lot of waiting for data to process or satellites to break down there's not much reason to worry too much about naps.

Karkat doesn't really understand Jade and mistakes the prolonged gaps in time between messages as a mixture of time dilation and her getting flustered/upset.

As one particularly salient example, when it comes to parliamentary races, many Kurdish candidates approved by Tehran to run for elections are subsequently rejected by the local authorities in West Azerbaijan who are, in some cases, operating independently of Tehran’s reach. Tensions between the province’s main two ethnic groups, thus, stand at an alarming level, particularly in comparison to other areas of the country.[...]

The complex and strained nature of inter-ethnic dynamics in West Azerbaijan province, combined with the close ethnic affinity of Turks and Azerbaijanis, has made the Azerbaijani-Turkish community an important target of outreach for Turkey, despite their religious differences, much to Iran’s concern. The widespread use of satellite dishes and access to Turkish channels since the 1990s have significantly contributed to amplifying Turkey’s soft power among Iranian Azerbaijani-Turks: Many households in northwestern Iran, particularly Azerbaijani-Turks, regularly tune in to Turkish television stations. Moreover, Turkey has been providing growing training and support, with a focus on cultural revival, to Azerbaijani-Turkish activists and journalists in West Azerbaijan through the Turkish consulate in Urmia city. This exposure and public diplomacy fosters awareness of Turkic solidarity as well as contributes to improved proficiency in the Turkish language, leading to an observed increase in Turkish influence since the early 2000s. As a result of this policy, the local Azerbaijani authorities in West Azerbaijan have added Azerbaijani-language toponyms to Farsi street names in the capital city of this province, Urmia. Additionally, the local Azerbaijani authorities push the usage of the Azerbaijani language over Farsi in official meetings, causing tension with Kurds.[...]

Accompanying this Turkish-encouraged and (partially) -facilitated cultural revival is a radicalization of Azerbaijani-Turkish nationalism in this province, which has extended beyond opposition to Kurds to encompass Persians as well. In recent years, during most soccer matches in Azerbaijani-speaking Iranian cities, fans have been seen carrying flags of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Turkey to the stadiums chanting, “Persians, Kurds, and Armenians are Turkish enemies,” which has been echoed in Turkish media.[...]

Against this background, the Kurdish-populated region, which was divided between Iran and Turkey due to wars between the Ottoman and Safavid empires, poses a challenge for Turkey in implementing its Turkic world plan and establishing direct contact with Azerbaijanis in Iran. Most border cities and villages on both sides of Iran and Turkey — much like villages on both sides of Turkey’s borders with Iraq and Syria — have a majority-Kurdish population. And importantly, the Kurds of Iran’s border areas adjacent to Turkey speak the same Kurdish Kurmanji dialect as Turkey’s Kurds, whereas Iranian Kurds who live farther away from the border use the Sorani dialect. Turkey claims members and supporters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has fought an armed insurgency against the Turkish government for the past 40 years, are present in the border cities of Iran’s Kurdistan region and exploit these cross-border kinship and ethno-cultural ties. In 2020, Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu’ asserted that 100 PKK fighters were present in the northwestern Iranian city of Maku, and warned that if Iran did not remove them, Turkey would act, implicitly calling to mind Turkey’s interventions against Kurdish militant forces in northern Syria.[...]

In July 2022, clashes erupted between Kurdish and Azerbaijani smugglers in Maku. Following the escalation, a group of Azerbaijani-Turks attacked a Kurdish summer-time tent camp in the Avajik Mako area, wielding sticks, clubs, and other weapons, leading to the destruction of the nomadic Kurdish herders’ tents by setting them on fire. Tragically, Azerbaijani attackers killed a 43-year-old Kurd, and in retaliation, the Kurds killed two Azerbaijani-Turks. Subsequently, more than 120 Kurdish nomad families and their 20,000 cattle were evicted or forcibly relocated by local — ethnically Azerbaijani-Turkish — authorities without compensation or explanation. Further enflaming the situation, the incident was reported in Turkey’s Yeni Safak newspaper as supposedly having been sparked by a PKK attack on ethnic Turks in Iran, with accusations that the Iranian government was collaborating with the Kurdish group to ethnically cleanse the area.[...]

Azerbaijani-Turks still dominate most of the high-ranking administrative positions there. Among the four deputy governors — collectively responsible for political, security, and economic affairs, construction, as well as human resources — all are Azerbaijani-Turks. Similarly, out of the 17 administrative offices in the province, 14 are led by Azerbaijani-Turks, with the remaining two held by Kurds and one by a Persian.

Also notably, Iran’s former president, Hassan Rouhani, in his visit to East Azerbaijan in 2019, referred to West Azerbaijan as “Urmia” — the Kurds’ preferred name for this province. [...]

Turkey’s support for Azerbaijanis in Iran within the context of the development of the Turkic world has appeared in the rhetoric of Turkish leaders in recent years. In late 2020, while taking part in a military parade in Baku to commemorate Azerbaijan’s victory over Armenia in their 44-day war over the Karabakh enclave, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recited a short poem that symbolically called on all Turks to “liberate” Iran’s West Azerbaijan. The Iranians’ firestorm reaction to that poem prompted the two countries to summon each other’s envoys in Ankara and Tehran. The Turkish foreign minister at the time, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, asserted that Erdoğan had been unaware of the sensitivities around the poem [sic] and condemned what he called Tehran’s offensive response.[...]

ok i know all these antennas and dishes were probably just drawn randomly but can you play with me in this space for a minute i want to speculate. for fun

these two antennas on the left are pretty clearly yagi uda antennas (ones even drawn with enough detail that you can tell which way its pointing. drew a little arrow to show). yagis are very directional so since theyre both pointing in different directions i assume theyre being used for different things. they have all kinds of applications but its my post so im going to blindly speculate and say well, if i was in panic mode i would probably want an easy way to communicate with my apocalypse bunker at the very least as a failsafe and well a yagi can work for that as long as its pointed in the right direction. as for other potential uses well i would probably also want to keep as ear out for local law enforcement since i assume portal operation has got to be breaking some kind of laws and once again you can use a yagi to do that. from what i understand its a little overkill considering how small gravity falls is but whatever itll work probably

as for the giant seti looking satellite dish after looking into a bit im actually pretty confident that this is an early tv dish, in the late 70s/early 80s satellite tv was kind of just starting out so thats just how big the dishes were apparently

^ heres a picture of a commercially available satellite dish from around that time (which was going for over $30k in the early 70s btw... yikes) and the resemblance is really really close imo. person in the pic was interviewed about his setup in 1981, so the dates match up too. so despite the really dramatic scifi kind of look to such a huge dish i think the purpose of it was actually relatively mundane. it seems that programing was a bit limited at this point in time so im not sure what exactly hed be watching but who knows, maybe someone was broadcasting some scifi shows for him to keep up on

the tiny satellite dishes on the shacks roof are little bit more of a mystery to me since as previously mentioned tv dishes were fucking huge at this point so theyre definitely not for that. honestly i dont know a lot about parabolic antennas. might get back to this later

How is it that a small wedge of the South American continent, long claimed by a major European power and still administered by it, could present a profile of wilderness at the end of the twentieth century? How might this same location on the globe have proved useful for such an unlikely combination of purposes as the resettlement of convicted criminals and the launching of rockets?

French Guiana remains a remarkably insignificant artifact of the political landscape - rarely noticed by most of France, let alone anyone else - as well as one of the least settled regions of the world. It has also hosted two exceptional experiments of the French state: the historical penal colony known in English as “Devil's Island,” which operated between 1852 and 1946, and the contemporary space center that launches the European consortium rocket Ariane, responsible for transporting a good half of the commercial satellites orbiting our globe. [...] Its base, the Guiana Space Center (CSG), indeed lived up to its slogan, becoming “Europe's Spaceport,” a center of high technology near the equator. [...]

[T]he penal colony begins operation in the middle of the nineteenth century, partly as a substitute for a system of plantation slavery. It conceives of French Guiana as open land for agricultural settlement, fertile ground for a tropical - and French - Australia, where the action of moral reform can translate into a scheme of colonization. The space center begins operation in the second half of the twentieth century, in the midst of the Space Race and in the aftermath of the Algerian War. It conceives of French Guiana as open land for technical experiments and a gateway into equatorial orbit, an even more tropical - and French - Cape Canaveral. [...] [A] regular stream of technicians and engineers arrives to assemble and guide it into space. The initial mandate to provide France with a launch site expands into a focus on commercial satellites, and although local opposition to the project continues, the effects of the enterprise on French Guiana in both symbolic and material terms only deepen. As the Ariane rocket gains importance, the surrounding landscape transforms from an orphan of history into a handmaiden of the future. At slightly closer range a number of striking structural similarities emerge. Not only do both projects found towns (St. Laurent on the one hand and the new Kourou on the other), but both operate as rival poles of influence and authority relative to the civil administration of French Guiana. Each involves [...] its own hierarchies, its own links to bureaucratic networks in Paris, and its own claims to significant national French interests. Each [...] exerts considerable influence over the surrounding economy. Most crucially, each controls and orders a separate territory within the larger political entity; each has a spatial presence, a direct impact on the landscape. And tied to this spatial strategy, each comes to serve as a symbolic nexus in collective Metropolitan imagination. The penal colony takes shape at a crucial moment in European colonial understandings of place and labor. Slavery had just been abolished in the French Empire, and an accompanying understanding of work in terms of race had far from expended its interpretive force. [...] Work represented the route to a better future, to the growth of new, valuable lands. [...] If slavery were at an end, then the crucial question facing the colony was that of finding an alternative source of labor. During the period of the early penal colony we see this search for new slaves, not only in French Guiana, but also throughout colonies built on the plantation model. Thousands of Asian Indians and Chinese found their way to new homes in different corners of the British Empire, serving as contract laborers on plantations. [...]

Kourou [the space center] is a neutralized, controlled corner of the tropics, with much of its cultural fabric simply imported. Amid the restricted space of artificially cooled buildings and automobiles, in zones free of carrier mosquitoes and amply supplied with wine and cheese airlifted from France, the distance between Paris and Cayenne shortens; the effects of translation between them grow less clear. If the island mimics the mainland successfully, if Crusoe builds a little England - or France - is his task done? [...] To answer this question, let us return to a crucial turning point of Guyane's history: the aftermath of World War II and the period of formal empire. It was during this era that the natural, political, and moral space of French Guiana was neutralized through a combination of DDT spraying, departmentalization, and the final closing of the penal colony. In 1949, a former teacher [...] in Martinique published an overview of the new overseas departments and territories. His description of French Guiana includes a call to arms for its development, a development still conceived in terms of a need for [...] agriculture, and industry [...]. Gold mines aside, it seems that the method of painstaking labor is the only one really applicable at present. Incontestably, there is magnificent work to accomplish there, such as should tempt young men fond of broad horizons and adventure. The appeal is for an army of Crusoes, advancing ashore to improve their collective island. The questions of race and level of expertise filter through patterns of history and perceived practicality. But the call remains, the call of a wilderness inviting domestication.

Native Hawaiians organize aid for Maui fire victims as government lags

LAHAINA, Hawaii — The boats kept coming. One by one, cruisers and catamarans eased toward the beach in Kahana, a small and tightknit neighborhood just north of Maui’s hardest-hit areas.

Each one was laden with supplies: generators, propane tanks, trash bags full of clothing and ready-to-eat meals. And each one was greeted by two dozen people, the first among them wading waist-deep into the ocean to retrieve provisions from the boat and pass them down the chain, which wound its way to shore.

The entire operation buzzed with urgent efficiency. But this was not the National Guard, or the Federal Emergency Management Agency, nor state or local government. This was scores of residents, led mostly by native Hawaiians, who had battled immense grief and unreliable communications to coordinate a large-scale disaster relief effort serving everyone in need after Tuesday’s ruinous Maui fire.

And this, a parade of boats that brought desperate locals thousands of pounds of supplies, was one of many.

“There’s no government agency helping us — this is it,” said Jareth Lumlung, a native Hawaiian who helped arrange the de facto donation hub. “This is our home, our community.”

In the days since a ferocious wildfire decimated whole swaths of Maui, including the historic west island town of Lahaina, those who live here have said they’ve received little help from the county and state, small entities which are struggling to respond to an unprecedented calamity.

For people whose cultural traditions have been threatened by American colonization and the state’s embrace of tourism and development, government help was never expected. Instead, the community has relied on itself.

Many, native Hawaiians in particular, see the absence of visible official support as a continuation of long-standing frustrations and pain, which began with the destructive arrival of Europeans and lives on in struggles over water rights.

The displacement of native Hawaiians is a particularly acute concern now, as much of the island has been targeted for gentrification, driving up the costs of living and forcing many native Hawaiians to move to mainland cities like Las Vegas.

[After five hours in ocean, Maui fire survivor is ‘blessed to be alive’]

Government officials have said they were focused on putting out the flames, housing and feeding survivors in evacuation centers outside the burn zone, protecting damaged areas, clearing roads in and around the town and helping to restore essential utilities. Some of the aid is out of reach of survivors, however, because they lack transportation or working phones to alert them about services. In Lahaina, the private efforts have been more visible, survivors said.

Hawaii Gov. Josh Green (D) estimated that nearly all of Lahaina had been destroyed. But in Kahana, the town’s spirit remained completely alive.

“If you take away all Hawaiians, there’ll be no more Hawaii,” Lumlung said. “It’ll be just a place. This is what it’s all about right here. We’re all raised the same way; this is something that’s just naturally instilled. You don’t have to be asked to do these things.”

The supply boats began arriving on Wednesday, as first responders were still battling the blaze and recovering bodies amid burned-out homes and businesses. Two days later, they hadn’t slowed. On Friday, they began arriving early, and volunteers had tents set up to sort the goods: a pile of men’s pants here, a pyramid of diapers there and vast mounds of bottled water.

“We lost everything. We lost our town,” said Jerica Naki, whose home in Lahaina was destroyed. “That’s why we’re here.”

On this day, the volunteer boats largely came from neighboring islands, Oahu and Molokai, northwest of Maui in the Hawaiian archipelago, traveling far on choppy seas. Naki was helping sort donations and she described an emotional whirlwind, from escaping with nothing to seeing a staggering amount of volunteer support for those who have been displaced like her.

“A lot of us are born and raised here,” Naki said, looking around as the chain of volunteers hauled in boxes of tinned sausage. “There’s a l xd ot of pride in Lahaina, so it hurts, a lot. But this is all we have here now, each other, and we’re making do.”

As the response has worn on, the greatest needs have shifted. There is now plenty of nonperishable food and bottled water. Generators, fuel and Starlink satellite internet systems would be most useful, volunteers say.

Sheryl Nakanelua knew instinctively where she needed to go when she fled her Lahaina home as flames spread. She made her way to Kahana and set up a tent across from Lumlung’s house, where she’ll stay until her family is let back into her subdivision, one of the few that was spared.

“This is our family place, it’s home,” she said of the Kahana neighborhood. “This is the best part to be at. It’s what’s keeping us positive.”

Other such spots have popped up. Napili Plaza, once a destination for groceries, ribs and tattoos, is now a donation drop-off center. And some 100 cars lined up for free gas near the town’s former railroad station. Coordinating the boats and other donation sites is a massive task that involves maddening games of phone tag in a place largely without cell service and requires a relentless dedication and extensive Rolodex.

Residents like Zane Schweitzer have both. Schweitzer, whose family has lived around Lahaina for generations, has spent nearly every hour of the last 48 working his walkie-talkie and phone, frantically arranging aid from around Maui, Hawaii and the mainland. Working with the Oahu-based youth nonprofit Na Kama Kai, he helped coordinate one of Friday’s largest deliveries.

Officials said most of Lahaina, the historic town in West Maui, was destroyed when hurricane winds pushed fires to the coast.

On the south side of Lahaina, in Olowalu, Eddy and Sam Garcia are transforming their groundbreaking sustainable farm into a shelter for those who have lost their homes. The married couple, who themselves have lost farmland and fruit crops worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, are setting up temporary housing, a massive solar power system and a satellite internet connection that they’ll open to anyone who needs it.

“In the immediate moment, people need shelter, they need food, they need water, they need a place to get on the internet so they can look for their loved ones,” said Eddy Garcia, who grew up in Lahaina. “We’re shifting all of our attention to trying to feed and house our neighbors.”

The Olowalu farm is uniquely well-prepared to handle this sort of disaster. Run by the Garcias’ nonprofit, Regenerative Education Centers, it was already operating off the grid, with its own power, plumbing and food. The nonprofit has launched a fundraiser to help pay for the fire effort, which will continue as long as there’s a need.

The property, even after being raked by the fire’s severe winds, is verdant and shaded by tall mango trees. On Friday, volunteers and staff readied the farm to fill any needs. They butchered and smoked a wild pig, set up new solar panels and scoured the internet for portable toilets. Eddy Garcia whirred with adrenaline, his satellite-connected cellphone ringing every few minutes with someone offering help.

For locals like him, helping his neighbors is not only about their survival, but about preserving the island’s identity and keeping it livable for those whose families have been here for generations.

“It’s not about these giant hotels on the beach and all the big companies, but trying to take care of local people,” he said. “This is not a visitor’s destination spot, this is the kingdom of Hawaii. That hit the heart of it in Lahaina. It hurts to even talk about it.”

His phone rang again and he stood up to leave.

“I’m like a ball of rubber bands right now,” he said, “and the only thing keeping me going is I got to organize these things.”

I think revolutionary warfare in a contemporary developed country would necessarily require some significant shift of its focus from the rural to the urban regions.

The process of urbanisation in these places is well-developed, and large portions of the population live in urban areas. Politically, it makes sense to 'go among the people' in the most literal sense, and defend them from state violence directly. Modern surveillance and remote warfare technologies also make operation in remote areas less practical, as detection and tracking by satellite and aerial reconnaissance make strategic concealment of the guerrilla force difficult, and destruction of the guerrilla force more disconnected from their immediate area. The ability for guerrillas to be discovered passively through analysis of aerial imaging of areas they've passed, and for strikes against tem to be made without any local military presence, make it difficult for the guerrilla force to leverage their advantage, being the ability to choose their battles.

In urban areas, the effectiveness of surveillance is decreased, simply due to sheer noise. Moving and communicating in the urban environment do not themselves give away the guerrillas, as they're surrounded by movement and communication. Instead, the much more tedious and less-solved problem, of detecting specific types of movement and communication, is handed to military and police analysts. Additionally, the urban centre is a much less permissible environment, at least at the initial stages of revolution, and limits the usage of indirect fires against guerrillas once identified. Politically, the guerrilla force is in more direct contact with sympathetic organisations, and guerrilla actions are more directly tied to the lives of the people - violent strikebreaking, for instance, can be retaliated against directly. Access to supplies is significantly easier, as is caching equipment and blending in with civilians. The techniques employed by urban organised crime for avoiding state detection and intervention are already developed, and could be adapted. Further, much of counterinsurgency doctrine is formulated specifically for the rural environment, and loses applicability in these contexts.

Urban operations have their own unique difficulties, and downsides, and there are legitimate reasons as to why historical revolutions favoured the countryside. However, given the changing operational environment, an urban-focused revolutionary war appears to be the next step in the development of insurgency and counterinsurgency.
