the smith parents were rarely home. such is the life in a working city, trying to support four children. joanna — the eldest of the family — was thus essentially tasked with the upbringing of her younger siblings, beginning a tendency to ignore her own needs and prioritise those of others that became progressively more maladaptive: she's never really made it out of that. she still doesn't know that she's allowed to.

What eventually became Buzz, the third studio album by singer-songwriter and globally-renowned star NIKI, started with an urgent quake from the innermost core of her being. To match the wandering spirit of Buzz, NIKI cultivated her own elastic approach to guitar.

 

To further harness this creative and personal sea change, NIKI began enlisting producers who had worked with her favourite contemporary singer-songwriters. She tapped Tyler Chester, who’d captured tracks with Madison Cunningham and Sara Bareilles; she also recruited Ethan Gruska, who counts Fiona Apple and Phoebe Bridgers as collaborators.

@itsrealityboo and i had a sophia on noah's route. they had the same astrological sign, name, occupation, style and appearance. i took that as a sign and decided to write and develop her.

i changed her occupation because i want her to be confused. i guess lots of us can relate to that phase in your life where you think you know what you want and life pushes you to discover that nope, not at all!

sophia is going through lots of changes in her personal life as well, only discovering she's bisexual in high school and having to deal with the fact that her parents don't really seem to understand her. she doesn't have their support and lives alone in manchester, has very few friends and works all the time as a barista.

she's always been meek and shy, and things seem to slip through her fingers rather quickly, making her tired of missing out opportunities for not taking more risks.

that starts changing in the villa, particularly after hope steals noah.

i love that her closest mate in the show is gary, despite him having a huge pronounced crush on her, but still wanting to be mates because he wants her to be happy.

it's hard for her to make friendships last back home so having gary is crutial in her journey.

growing up lonely did that to her, she lacks social skills. people like bobby and gary are magical, because she doesn't understand how easily they make friends and people just want to hang out with them all the time.

noah to her is perhaps a mistake. i think everyone that had a noah in their life can relate to this, but you don't know if it's a mistake or not until you go through with it, and i'm happy she's finally coming out of her shell and going after what she wants.

being intimidated by hope, who's confident and knows what she wants, is scary, because sophia still doesn't quite know who she is and what will make her happy.

i like the fact that she's scared sometimes, but even when she's shaking on her heels she's now learning to take a risk.

First off, the best mutual to ever mutual @wroetobehzinga. Kayleigh is without a doubt pastel blue. This is for several reasons, the football team she supports is Manchester City and whenever it’s game day, it’s always a bit tense. But, in all seriousness, she’s the mutual that keeps me calm. I can talk to her about anything and vice versa. I just love her so much. 

Secondly @the-chocolate-anon, Lottie. It’s so exciting to be able to actually include her in things now. Lottie is most definitely a bright yellow. She radiates positivity into this fandom, like the Sun. She reminds me of summer. I cannot wait for Kayleigh and I to go on our backpacking trip and, go to Oktoberfest with her. 

@sour--disposition, Bella is a forest green. She’s majestic and beautiful in every sense of the word. She’s also incredibly wise and interesting. Her imagines are some of the best, they’re so rich and fully developed.
