I like to think that they always put each other first in literally everything this includes talking too. If Harvest is talking, Scythe makes sure to shut up- if Scythe talks then Harvest does the same. But since they weren't programmed to do this, they don't do it naturally and mess up sometimes which causes them to kinds freak out about it! Eek it's just wrong it's just wrong to do it is kinda their thought on that

Third?

Is just that they're very clingy and affectionate towards each other, they are each others 'Sun' and 'Moon', they are what Sun and Moon failed to be.

A lot of my AUs are on my server (locked behind the adult channels because we're a bunch of degenerates). Currently the only one with works published is Highly Unconventional. I'm working on Cage, Reset, and Obsession in the background with co-writers. And currently on my own with codependency, bearcode, and TCAU which have their own fics in the works.

Also I'm so bad at tagging shit for my AUs consistently or I always use multiple tags so just have mercy on me. Brothers In Arms!! SAMS AU

So Brothers in Arms won the poll!! Excuse any mistakes here, I'm on tablet with HORRID auto correct! Ill do my best to explain the AU!!

Basically, its an AU where Eclipse cares...to an extent. I made this up a LONG time ago, when Solar Flare was still alive so brace yourselves.

When Eclipse made Bloodmoon, he didn't want to just kill him because Eclipse still acknowledged that he was a weird robot being like him. Plus, he's the one who programmed him like that so it isn't Bloodmoons's fault. Eclipse thought that BM would be perfect for offensive and defensive but mainly it.

So, Eclipse made a new robot who would be better at getting into people's heads and simply less violent! Aka, Lunar! Of course, since he was made solely off of Eclipses nice thoughts, Lunar was way too childish. So, he also wasn't very obedient. But, Lunar of course had other uses so he didn't just discard of him either.

Finally, Solar Flare comes in. He's obedient, wow!! But, he's very monotone and acts like an actual robot which erm...is a bit nice. Well, whatever he's asked of he will do unless it directly harms his brothers. This will lead to him giving out secrets because "tf is sun gonna do? give us glitter glue?"

So, this is set during the Lunar and Eclipse Show ARC. Moon and Sun only know about Lunar because BM and Solar Flare are laying low. No KC or Earth YET, the wholesome stuff has to play out first. Yes, there will be drama but most posts abt this AU will be funny and/or adorable!! So, lemme explain everyone!!

Eclipse - Eclipse takes on an older brother role, since he is the oldest erm. He mainly acts like he doesn't care what they do, who they do it with, and what happens to them unless it directly affects him. But, he cares a lot (a bit too much since he's overprotective smh). He may groan and complain but he'll help with anything and everything his siblings needs. Random fact? Sure! He loves hugs but refuses them every time he's asked for one, bros tryna be an alpha male.

Bloodmoon - The twins are really hyper and full of energy but they try toning it down with their siblings. Just don't hit them too much. He's not overprotective like Eclipse, he'll probably forget about their siblings problem once a butterfly flys towards them BUT if the problem is in their face then all hell will break loose. Fun Fact? Okay!! He loves watching HTF, its a show he watches when he craves blood but isn't in the position to get it.

Lunar - Since this is past Lunar, he loves annoying his siblings. Especially Bloodmoon since he gives a bigger reaction. Even though he's a middle child, he acts like the youngest lmao. He loves playing games, watching TV, and just hanging out with his siblings in general! Goofy fact? Sure! Whenever Lunar has nightmares, he automatically goes to Eclipse. Tears and all (eclipse never gets sleep 😭🙏)

Solar Flare - He's very nonchalant and unbothered. He does care, he just doesn't know how to show it. Not to be confused with Eclipse. There's s differences between not WANTING to show it and not knowing HOW to show it. But, Solar Flare can get a bit quirky and annoy his siblings back. Because of his RBF and his robotic voice, anything out his mouth is always believed. So, he'll lie about teeny things randomly. "Hey, did you know that the sky can change color?" And they'll run to the sky to stare at it for an hour. Ofc, Solar Flare can't tell bigger lies than that lmao. Silly Fact? Okay! He has to wear glasses but never does because he knows damn well his siblings will bully him.

I came here after reading your Choso&Yuji fics, I love them! 🥰The scenes where they are training blood manipulations are my fave, filling in the gap in the current manga chapters for me so thank you! Your author's notes very interesting but there are some things I don't quite understand. My questions:

1. Was it ever explained how Yuji can do blood manipulation? And how he get the red claws?

2. Since Choso is a Kamo, does that mean he's related with kamo, the young one? I'm still confused because I saw some fans said they are not while some said they are and the fanpage says that Choso's father is Kamo the younger's ancestor, which means they are related?

3. Does that mean Yuji had a Kamo blood too because he's Kenjaku son? Like perhaps his mother? Because why is it different between them? Why Choso reacted like that to Yuji's blood but not to the other Kamo?

4. Are the memories Choso had about Yuji is from him alone or the influence from Yuji's cursed energy?

Sorry if my questions sound very dumb to you! myb cos I was skipping a lotta chapters of the manga to catch up with current arc (I almost skipped the whole culling game thing) but I watched the anime and still not understanding a lot.

Thank you for liking my stories and telling me about it! Ah I guess it does get confusing if you don't read the manga in order. In fact I've seen manga readers still confused abt the same things as yours so no, they are not dumb questions! Hwvr, to answer, it'd be better to go into manga's chronological orders so it'd be easier to understand...so beware of long answers ahead.

1. It was nvr explained explicitly but heavily hinted, which from the ways Gege does thing so far, which is not always spitting out everything for readers. It could be perceived as true. It happened in ch 220. I'll explain later below.

2. Yep, by all means they are related. I think this much is pretty clear from the narrative even if you're an anime-only let alone read the manga. Related as in coming from the same clan/ancestry line/bloodline. Iirc I explained this in end notes of ch 1 of my long fic. Blood Manipulation is a prized CT that is passed down only thru bloodline/genetics. It wasn't a sporadic thing like Geto's curse manipulation CT. It is the same as Zenin's 10 shadows and the Gojo fam' Limitless/Six Eyes. The fact that Choso has it despite being incarnated in an irrelevant non-sorcerer body meant that his Kamo's blood from his papa (Kamo Noritoshi Sr) still runs fully thru his current body. The concept of JJK is mostly how a soul cud modify the body. For Choso this is def the case cz there was 1 panel where he said he cud no longer sense the prev body owner's soul/essence. So, as a cursed object of a Kamo blood, he had taken over the body fully. Back to the question, howvr, to which degree he's related to Noritoshi Jr we might nvr find out unless GG care enough to lay out the Kamo family tree. They could be as distantly-related as Gojo with Yuuta or more direct line in family. But I don't see how that wud ever happen cz it's neither important to the plot nor is it important to any of the character's narratives.

So yeah, the opinions that said they are completely unrelated are definitely off the mark. It's silly tbh, cz it doesn't take a lot to comprehendthis particular narrative 😅. The BM technique and the great 3 clans backgrounds were there to confirm. I personally think, they must be branching a lot so it's not straight vertical line. Cz Kamo Sr had offsprings and cud have more legitimate offsprings outside the Death Paintings, it cud be said he wud be like a great great greaaat granduncle to Noritoshi Jr (which explains why the fanpage says Kamo Sr was Kamo jr's ancestor) and since Choso, Eso, and Kechizu didnt have offsprings they wud be more like great great greaaat grandcousins or cousins 8-10 times removed lmao. That's how clan family works.

Which brings us to the next Q that is Yuuji. Remember that Yuuji is always the special case.

3. Yuuji is by no means a Kamo even till now. He got BM technique thru acquired means which in ch 220 heavily hinted that he ate the rest of Death Paintings remains (as permitted by Choso). All the Death Paintings had BM like I said before cz they are of Kamo's descendants, only the properties that were different. For Choso it's poison. For Eso is rotten blood.

This is why, despite being born from Kenjaku who once inhabited Kamo Sr's body, Kenjaku didnt pass down BM to Yuuji cz once again, BM is a CT that is passed thru literal bloodline. Which is why we never saw him did BM while in Geto's body. Kenjaku being in Kaori's body who wasn't a Kamo cud not pass that CT down to Yuuji. He cud howver, resist Choso's poisonous cursed blood due to him being the other's papa.

By eating the Death Paintings' remains, Yuuji gained access to BM thru their souls which modify Yuuji's being. Most likely his red claws came from one of the Death Paintings' properties as well. This is the same to how he got stronger and gained more CE by eating Sukuna's fingers, which are also cursed objects, and how Gojo said he wud 1 day gain access to Sukuna's CT. Yuuji's body is such that after ingesting cursed objects, his soul gained control instead of being devoured like how Choso's soul took over the human body he incarnated in. It's why it doesn't make Yuuji a Kamo because he's still the one in control, not the Death Paintings he ingested.

4. I think 👆 has explained it. The memories are one-sided on Choso and they never happened. It's due to the bond between their cursed blood.

Why Choso reacted differently between Yuuji and the other Kamos? Simply cz Choso's narrative is designed to be a character who lives by and for his little brothers only. When it comes to the Death Paintings, they have cursed blood, don't they? Their CE and blood come as a package and cannot be separated. Which imo explains why it's not exactly literal/biological blood that bond him with Yuuji but rather the cursed properties in it, courtesy of Kenjaku's hopping bodies that brought and passed along his CE's components to all his offsprings and that's it...not the host bodies' genes or anything else. This is also why it's only Choso who felt the bond and not Yuuji cz Yuuji's CE didn't rely on his cursed blood back then. I didn't know abt it now though that he had eaten Choso's other little brothers and gained new properties to his bodies.

Unless somehow, when Choso and the brothers were inside the tubes their souls went to another cycle of life with Yuuji in another life lmao. But this one is my headcanon so dont take it seriously.

That one is sth I took on more seriously which is why the writing process is much harder than the occasional one-shots that I've published. Much harder to hype myself to keep up with it as well. Idk if dating counts as a hobby but for him it probably is. It’s gonna stay that way too until she stops scaring dates off. Aside from that, he loves going for walks, going to restaurants and talking to friends!! (If only he had any.) Very much a person who likes to Go Places and Do Things

Eclipse: Spare time? What spare time?? With that man’s schedule?? I think the hell not! What little time Eclipse gets to himself he spends sleeping and mentally prepping for his next shift, but, if by some divine intervention he got to do more then that on any given evening, then his ass is watching soap operas and movies on his couch and watching cat videos on tiktok during the ad breaks.

BM: Their hobbies include: robbery, listening to music, committing tax fraud, visiting aquariums with their yearly pass, terrorizing fast food restaurants, making unholy food abominations that somehow include blood in them, shoplifting, terrorizing their local hot topic WHILE shoplifting, adding to their knife collection, whatever random hobby they picked up for a singular weekend that their ADHD ass then dropped as soon as the fixation ended….. oh and they draw sometimes!

Earth: She likes to play the violin! Will sometimes write new songs but she doesn’t perform them or anything. She loves clothes shopping and putting together outfits in her spare time, she’ll also happily dress up anyone who asks her to. She also likes doing her own hair and other folks hair, makeup too! She’s a girly girl! She also loves playing video games and board games with her co-workers! She’s…. Fiercely competitive….

Sun: She loves listening to audiobooks in his spare time, he also likes to play the piano! Though he doesn’t make any new music of his own unless she’s collaborating with Earth on a song. Like Earth, xe also LOVES to play board games and card games, the group has special versions of the games they use that include braille! Going for walks, knitting, and making crafts are also a thing she finds really fun, he just really loves doing more calm activities, with the exception of game nights!

Moon: This fucking nerd is modding video games in his spare time and putting in another 20 hours into Stardew Valley or Minecraft. You’d think with how many threats he makes that Moon would be into more violent video games like battle royals or team based shooters but he takes after his brother a lot in the whole ‘I prefer relaxing hobbies’ department. He also finds great joy in building things and coding, making neat little gadgets that don’t do anything particularly special but do something neat! Oh, and weapons, of course. If he’s not building a silly little device then he’s reenacting Myth Busters or some shit or trying to make a weapon that does something outrageous. “A rocket powered hammer does not exist but *could* it?” Also loves driving around the city rather than walking, clears his head.

Lunar: Lunar shares a lot of hobbies that the other members of the group also happen to have, he loves playing video games and making crafts! They also like watching dog videos! Funnily enough, he’s picked up scrapbooking, and I’ve already mentioned how he’s picked up learning braille. He also wants to learn how to play piano or the violin from Earth or Sun but he’s too nervous to ask.

Not a request, but!! Thoughts on Pinkerton?

pinkerton is their best album easily. or at least my personal favourite (i could see arguments for blue and ewbaite).

pinkerton is definitely the most exciting and interesting album musically, it has a feel to it that i don’t think any of the other albums truly capture. the louder, rougher sound is unique for them and an incredible listening experience and the lyrics are truly something special. rivers writes so well on this album and it’s really interesting to hear the brutally honest wording.

pinkerton was my 2nd most listened to album last year (just after black parade) with like a full 25 hours spent listening to it it’s incredible, 10/10 album

you know what screw it, track by track opinions:

Tired of Sex - really good opening to the album, it introduces the tone of the whole project perfectly. i’m amazed at how well it translates onto pinkerton from SFTBLH, they managed to change it just enough to provide a fantastic opening. the kind of drone on the vocals emphasises rivers exhaustion with his current lifestyle very neatly and the sudden bursts of noise starting up as the lyrics become angrier is gnarly as hell i love the loud guitar

Getchoo - this one hits like crazy i love the sound of the chorus, the little ah-hAH right at the end of it when it goes slightly higher scratches the brain itch just right. the actual characters of the song feel so real, the whole album feels real, and it’s actually mint.

No Other One - same deal with the characters, this is gonna mostly just be me reiterating that Rivers killed it with the songwriting here. absolutely love this song, the long, winding intro kicking in suddenly with the bM-bm-Bm-bm-BM is heavenly, it’s a truly lovely melody (i have no clue how music actually works) and makes for a fantastic song, one of the best on the album

Why Bother? - this one makes me go bananas it’s so quick and fast and speedy and other synonyms and it just mmmmm good track good song everything explodes and i love it. also you guys know Rob Cantor from Tally Hall did a cover of this song for a Pinkerton tribute album and it’s really sick

Across the Sea - oh boy this is it this is the track where my opinion gets the account shut down. it’s good man it’s really good this song really hits. like obviously the lyrics are- they’re fucked they’re fucked up, but they’re honest and the fact that this song even exists at all and weezer put it on the album means a lot and made huge strides in musical lyricism as a whole. i honestly really enjoy it. and like it sounds good instrumentally as well the little piano noodles are so funny and chimey and cool and the repeating of the actual “i got your letter, you got my song” tune by the guitar immediately after it is nice it makes me happy

The Good Life - fucking insane track blam blam blam i love it i love it i love it. it’s time he got back. the actual historical elements of Rivers life that tie into this track is very interesting in regards to the weezer lore. this is a loud song and it’s a crazy song and everything about it is good and everyone should go listen to the good life

El Scorcho - now this is the song of all time. the lyrics are so silly goofy i adore them, he’ll bring home the turkey if you bring home the bacon man (the sudden slam i tot he chorus from that line is so good as well). Matt Sharps back in vocals are really nice to listen to, it isn’t his best vocal performance in the songs he was on but it’s very nice, and Brian Bells first ever vocal performance on a studio album (pretty sure he sang on the longtime sunshine recording earlier) is slaying honestly. that whole section of the song slams me violently back into the wall with some invisible force everytime i listen to it i mean how stupid is it i can’t talk about it i’ve gotta sing about it and make a record of my heart. anyway el scorcho good song ay carumba

Pink Triangle - funny funny gay song. unironically though this one is pretty perfect the instrumentals throughout the entire song is completely solid and i mean the lyrics are- they put my kind in the weezer lyrics. (actual history element of this is one of my favourite pasty’s of weezer lore, girl it’s about heard the song and it turns out she isn’t even a lesbian)

Falling For You - this one is my favourite weezer song. in my top 3 songs of all time alongside MCR - Mama and Komm Sußer Todd. it is, and it doesn’t feel like it the first time, but it is genuinely one of the greatest songs ever made. just listen to it. listen to the album. every little detail from the japanese voicelines in static at the beginning to the perfect melody and loudness of the chorus to the way all of the verses flow like that to the way he says little old three chord me (such a good line such a good line i am so normal) to the screaming the title in the final chorus. it’s immaculate. i love weezer pinkerton

Butterfly - this track is divisive. most people either think it’s the only good part of the album or it isn’t worth listening to after the rest of it. these people are incorrect. it’s a perfect closer for the album, after all the bangers, this is the mash to make, the full- bangers and mash. i actually do love the concept of winding it down at the end of the album like this and butterfly is really exactly how to do that. it’s beautiful and a really profound and perfect way to call back to the rest of the album and reflect on all the beautiful themes and concepts touched on. and hey, if butterfly doesn’t do it for you, you always have…

THE BONUS TRACKS ON PINKERTON DELUXE

i won’t talk about all of these specifically but Devotion, I Just Threw Out The Love Of My Dreams, Longtime Sunshine and Tragic Girl are all favourites of mine. blast off! too even though that’s not actually on pinkerton deluxe. Right from the start, you were so consistent with showing and not telling stuff. Like instead of just stating the members' positions you showed who owned each position through the roll call along with a close up of them doing something, which also simultaneously revealed a bit of their personality AND THAT WAS JUST SO COOL AND AMAZING AND I WAS INSTANTLY IMMERSED 😖😖

I'm actually not done yet, I also read love vomit and I know that you wrote it a while ago, but it was SO GOOD 😖😖😖 I never thought I would so diligently read a 36k fic because I usually don't read extremely long fics, but I would read your grocery lists, first drafts, 5th grade writing assignments, boring emails anything. It was so so extensively planned and there was nothing unnecessary, and you wrote soobin so well IT WAS SO IT WAS SO 🥹 it was so great I felt like I was living with them and experiencing youth with them and ugh

Lore/story au's

Most of these are heavy in story. Asks concerning the story will be more received. And will be drawn with story in mind. (Might receive written stories)

mechanical medic AU-Ralph the repair dragon works as a moving parts and service. But is haunted by 3 fragmented souls of mechanics that died in the Plex. Sun n Moon struggle to get the medical mechanic animatronic to leave them alone.

Rusty wheels-a apocalypse au were a nanite Afton virus infects the world. It's cyberpunk with a rustic feel. Y/N has a big truck sized motorcycle thing and finds sun n moon. And drags them in their attempts of adventure and survival.

Warehouse AU-after the fire story were the dca, Freddy, DJ, foxy and Bonnie are moved to a big werehouse (owned by a y/n) is modified into a mini Plex (honestly more like a side road arcade that's bigger). And the dca has to relearn how to function with the band.

purrfect thief-you are a shape-shifting cat. You work with The gang Lord Eclipse but live as a house cat with the detectives Sun and Moon. You are an informant with the spiders web. A info company owned by DJ. Life has been simple and happy. But on the horizon a pack of dogs is ready to ruin that simple life.

saving waves-a sun n moon mer story. Were sun n moon were once in our lab/mer fighting facility. They are saved by a rehab facility and have to learn how to be normal Mer again. Also following the other side of the family. Who are trying to get pesky humans to stay out of their wild waters.

Ask based au's

These aus are very open to ask. Most of them have no more than a basic story. They will be drawn more frequently with asks.

red, blue, and black-a SAMS AU where suns kill code merge with him and Moon is attempts to control his kill code makes two AI but fails. computer takes over and creates eclipse with those two AI. Eclipse then has to figure out how to keep his family together.

Cryptid eater-a Sun and Moon are Hunters story but you are a creature that eats vampires and werewolves and things like such. And the story takes place with you trying to convince them that you're on their side.

warehouse daycare-a version of the warehouse AU where it's only sun n moon. The werehouse is smaller and they grow a closer relationship with y/n and a emotional support cat.

Story's ive had since childhood.

Most of these stories occur in the same or adjacent universe and are more likely to get to to get drawn due to my familiarity with it.

Shadow wars-Major wars that occurred in the history of dragons. Particularly wars of Shadow dragons versus light dragons. split up into four.

Outsting of the dark(Shadow dragons being misjudged and cast out),

shadons terror(an evil emperor of Shadow dragons taking revenge only to be beaten by family),

falling twins(a family split by different ideals),

the hybrid(a hybrid child that finally solves the war).

chains-The comic series I started as a kid about a wolf and his companions as they travel. Split into three.

The fallen stars(how chains fell out with his best friend),

fleeing revenge(chains fleeing his old friend now enemy),

God war(chains son and others get in a great war over religion and power).

dreamers musing-various stories that take place on "the a locked door". Occurring from dragons, Kings, knights, dinosaurs, animals. anything that comes to mind that uses the same gods.

moss and car-car -a old spinosaurus and a baby Carcharodontosaurus meet up together and decide to live alongside each other. The Old spinosaurus trying to care for a youngster that is not his kind. And the Young therapod running around trying to figure out how to dinosaur correctly. Shenanigans issue.

and wwx is SO fondly nostalgic of CR! iirc, he only has good things to say about it from the LP attack on out. they're probably some of the last happy memories he has, carefree and innocent and young where the worst he can fear is a whipping and a scolding. and lwj is clearly a bit baffled bc they fought all the time back then but wwx is like 🥰 about it

this is not great but it IS a step up from 'wicked tricks'

aww nhs. I've seen ppl joke abt lwj drinking vinegar here but I've been watching his face and it literally didn't change at all from when nhs was calling goodbye. lwj not being very expressive means ppl tend to project on him a lot it seems. if he is jealous here, he doesn't show it

nmj is a very brave and honorable leader, but this plan was not well thought out! was there REALLY nobody stronger or sneakier or more capable in the army? if he's taken alive, he would be a powerful hostage. and if he fails, the nie clan would fall to HUAISANG in the middle of a war. the army would lose one of its only leaders and maybe its strongest fighter besides wwx. it's a plan that makes sense given nmj's outlook that a leader should personally risk himself to do something important and spare his men, but it's not a wise choice. delegate, my man!

lxc's outfit is so pretty here. he may be in the middle of a war but that is no reason not to look sharp

[Themes] I'm nostalgic about gothic horror strip malls of my youth

[FFO] dungeon synth/black metal, Abysmal Specter, D.R.I. with corpse paint, vampire anything/everything

[Thoughts] I don't have a ton to say about this particular release, just that I fucking love it. Both ds/bm and skate punk give me nostalgia for my mallrat youth, their union is something I wouldn't have considered but feels so right.

Abysmal Specter is the ghoul behind Weeping Coffin and about a dozen other projects, including: Bloody Keep, Curta'n Wall, and ds/bm CLASSIC Old Nick* (vox). He is an incredibly prolific musician and one of the bigger names in the contemporary dungeon synth scene. And for good reason: everything AS puts out is creative dungeon synth music. Whether it's raw black metal, punk, ambient dungeon synth, or ds/bm, Abysmal Specter's music is full of humor.** They're mostly solo projects, but you can always count on AS to throw you something catchy and twice-cooked in aesthetic.

This feels as good a time as any to talk about Grime Stone Records, one of my favorite independent record labels, considering they host all of Abysmal Specter's music.*** GSR does an impeccable job curating all things ds/bm, simply stated.**** I subscribed to the label on Bandcamp about 2.5 years ago, so for $3/month I get all their releases; usually GSR strives for 3 releases/month, so that comes out to about $1/album, which I know will be an excellent indie pick. Consider subscribing to GSR***** and other Bandcamp labels, it's the best way to sustainably support indie music. At the very least, consider "Following" a label on Bandcamp to get notified of their new releases.

Jacc - Cathartic Sorrow and Jacc - Melancholic Bliss; just really solid black metal that dropped on the label recently.

THEE KHAI AEHM - Samhainia! and THEE KHAI AEHM - Parrier; black metal stylings with garage punk and fuzz rock ends. Really interesting, I haven't heard anything like this before.

Piyakdu - Visionnes ov Naeku the'e Plowmanne; might look ridiculous on first blush, but this dungeon synth release is objectively high art. From the Bandcamp page: "The album seeks to view the contemporary Bharari lore under the 14th century Middle-English lens of theological allegory, dream-vision, and pastoral lyricism, all the while presenting a cohesive sonic journey tying these elements of the past and of the present together. The tunes are ripe with summertime nostalgia and visions of a time long forgotten."

Dungeon Crawler - Gotta Go Dungeon Crawling; blackened chiptune, the official 2023 soundtrack to getting really high and turning on your PS2. "Blackned Nintendocore Manifesto" is maybe my favorite mosh track of the year. Only wish it were longer so I didn't have to keep hitting play.

Curta'n Wall - Siege Ubsessed!; yes, I already linked to this album, but what can I say: I'm siege ubsessed (I even bought the shirt). Some silly ds/bm to bring home the wanton destruction of the medieval era. FFO: Renaissance Festivals, Monty Python.

Dein​ó​ssa​û​ros - Tyrannosaurids; some people are going to write off this release, but I think it's high art. Black metal is all about rejecting colonial structures and reverting to primitivism; this album captures the savage spirit of black metal through realistic dinosaur audio. Best served with a psychoactive; my preferred are amanita muscara mushroom chocolates.

Zhmach - Karyta Dzieda Platona; raw black metal with above-average production and avant-garde interests. I really liked Zhmach's first release, and I feel like Karyta Dzieda Platona is a true hidden gem. An truly uninhibited exploration of synth music.

SPECTRAL SPECTRUM - Strange Souls Vol. 1; a candlelit ritual from a dusty tome summoned the catchiest black'n'roll ever found, a genre that is best when it doesn't take itself too seriously. You'll listen to this and write me off as a fucking idiot, but I only grow in power every time you sing the chorus to "Haunted Wood" (it's a black metal multi-level marketing scheme, call it a bmlm).

Every time I walk your sister, I look at your last mark in the backyard. The last poop you took willingly. A couple weeks or so before you left. It’s been about 74 days since you’ve crossed. I’ve seen that poop turn from burnt orange (because of the high protein food that you were on) to black (from being cooked by the sun) to white (from the cycles of hot days and rain) to pale grey (from the light rainfall) to light tinges of green (due to the constant heavy rainfall drowning it and bringing life into it).

I can’t help but think, how much of you is actually there… when I look at it and think of you (I know kinda gross, haha) what is there to receive my thoughts and my sentiment now. I remember, when it was white/grey, I asked Mama if I could take it and polish it to keep. I knew how silly it sounded and does still sound. I just wanted to keep you close. To keep something if you, anything I could.

I think I was and still am grieving. I am greedy, as I was when you were here. I wanted more time with you. I wanted you to stay forever. Now I want every little piece of history you’ve left behind. I’m scrounging around for anything I can get my hands on. Anything to keep you with me. To make it like you never left.

I miss you, my sweet boy. It’s hard to even do little things anymore. It just takes me so much more energy to get off the ground. I’m sure Mama and sissy feel the same way. We miss you so much. Luna keeps wanting to go into your room and we don’t know why. Mama limits her time in there as much as she can. The pain is still so unbearable, I think. We just try our best. I hope you’re doing zoomies around God’s furniture, jumping up on the seat and waiting for someone to make a sudden move before doing zoomies the other way around the furniture.

I hope that you hear my whistle sometimes and know that I’m thinking about you and that I miss you. I look at the sky when it’s streaky with clouds and the sun’s hitting it just right. That’s when it looks most like the night you left. It was like a bridge that brought you to meet God.

I don’t know if I’ll ever not be sad. Or if I’ll ever not miss you. Not sure that’s the point about handling grief. I see Sensei’s wife still talk about him even after it’s been so many years. I know some people may look at me and think it so preposterous to grieve over a dog. But you were my sweet boy. I raised you from a pup. For 18 years I saw you grow, stop growing, and grow old. 18 years of whistling, chasing you, trying to prevent you from stealing human food, doing your round of tricks (sit, belly rub, stand, hug, bang, wait), selimutin-ing you, and making you my Boo-rrito.
