Rewind (Lucy Boynton x Reader Fic)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Lucy Boynton x Reader (modern university time frame)
Word Count: 1.5K
Summary: Despite your pre-existing judgement, you find yourself being pulled towards your new neighbor.
AN: Hi!! This is my first fic ever and I plan for it to be a multi-chapter one! This first part is just more of an expose of reader and lucy’s relationship, you’ll see more of their dynamic (and angst 😈) in the next chapter 🥂I’m baby and a beginner so please let me know your thoughts and ways to improve!
~~~~*~~~~
Coming back home from the first year of uni was like entering the real world after 12 years of solitary confinement. Fresh food from a stove rather than a water heated metal dish. A plush queen bed with natural daylight from your room to prick your eyelids rather than the squeaky twin size mattress that you find yourself waking on top of after the boys down the hall set off the smoke alarms for vaping. Again…
Perhaps the only con to coming back home was all the old retired foggies that surround you. It was refreshing but lonesome after living among the hoards of young adults that don’t know what to do with their lives. Not to mind though, it was sound sleeping for you without any loud music.
“Y/N!” Your mother calls from downstairs.
“Y/N!”
With the exception of your mother.
You roll off your bed. Glancing in the glass reflection of a picture frame, you don’t look too hot. Your skin greasy from sleep and the acne creams that you applied the night before.
“What mum?” You drawled as you plopped down the stairs, sitting on the last step
“Look! The new family who bought the house is moving in. They hauled three bookcases out the truck already.”
Out of the passenger side of the truck popped out a girl with mid length brownish hair. Her frame quickly ducking out of view so she could enter the house.
Your mother continues“She seems like your age, you think she’s from your university?”
You peer again trying to get a glimpse. Her hair now tied sloppily in a bun as she picks up one of the boxes. You peer down to see an all girls college shirt covering her whole frame. Mary Scott University.
It may have been just your own prejudice or your jealousy of someone so effortlessly beautiful but you didn’t see any hope in the new girl on the street.
“Jesus Christ” you glance at your mom
“What?”
“She goes to that all girls school—“
“It’s not a bad school Y/N, your dad’s cousin went there-“
“And look where she ended up! She dropped out of dentistry school and is making jewelry for a living!”
“Y/N, don’t judge people so quickly, how do you even make friends in school?”
Annoyed, you bulged your eyes out. In a normal school not an all girls school where they wait til marriage for someone to sexually awaken them.. you thought.
You take one last look at the new movers and retreat to your bedroom. Under the covers you can only find yourself thinking about the new girl.
~~~~*~~~~
The next day your mom calls you down again with more gusto and a sweeter tone.
Interesting… Only until you can hear an unfamiliar voice downstairs you assume there could be some visitors.
“Yeah, hold on!” You yell out as you try to fix your appearance. You tie your hair up and pull down your night shorts from under your large shirt.
You walk across the catwalk to see below your mom talking to the new girl on the front porch.
She was dressed in a racer back tank top and athletic shorts with a tennis racket bag strapped to one shoulder.
Shit shit shit shit shit!
Your first impression isn’t gonna be strong or even on the same level of confidence that she exudes. Her sweet smile shows off her pristine white teeth. Damn, when was the last time you did a whitening strip?
Her gaze finds yours and you start to feel your hands clam up a little.
Her bright eyes beam and cheeks lift up . “Hi! I’m Lucy!” she says with a small wave
Your lingering gaze on the way her top hugs her waist is cut short from your mother.
“Y/N, could you walk Lucy to the tennis courts?“
The tennis courts were the first thing that anyone could see when they entered the neighborhood. Right next to the clubhouse and playground adjoined to it. Not too hard to find. But with your mother’s hard smile and urging eyes, you can tell she wanted to make a good impression.
“Uh yeah! Sure let me just-”
“Please don’t go out wearing that.”
“I know ma- I’m gonna go change-”
“Wear something nice—”
“I got it!”
As you see Lucy smile a little bit, you give a flash a teeth before you dash up the stairs in a frenzy to find anything cute. A whole tennis outfit at noon, God she really is Mary Scott material... You suffice for a college T and jean shorts as everything else was either sweaty and stained. You pick off the toothpaste stain on your shirt the best you can before you run downstairs , hearing your mom drawl how you’re not as active as you were before.
“Okay mom you can stop talking about how I’m a glob of fat now.”
Your mother’s eyes narrow at the toothpaste stain and as she raises her hands to examine it you swat it away
You glance at Lucy and give her a big grin “Okay, let’s go!”
~~~~*~~~~
As you both walk out of your front yard to the trail to the recreation area you turn to Lucy.
“So it’s Lucy? Right?”
She grins, “Yeah, and is it Y/N? Am I saying that right?”
“Yeah! You’re good.”
She cocks her head to your shirt. You suddenly feel more aware of the toothpaste stain.
“So.. you go to Baker’s?
“Yeah! Are you in uni yet?”
“Yeah, I go to Mary Scotts.”
“Kind far from here isn’t it?”
“We used to live a bit further, like 5 hours away so I’m happy for some closer storage for all my college shit.”
Thank fucking god! You curse! I don’t have to watch my tongue.
You and Lucy continue to cycle about and discuss normal college student ice breakers. Despite what you thought, all girls college doesn’t seem that bad, There’s a mix of students in Mary Scott’s area with the other universities nearby.
“So what’s fun around here?” Lucy asks “Besides the elusive tennis courts you’re taking me to.”
You begin to say something but close your mouth and furrow your brows in deep thought. Lucy chuckles as you draw your mouth in a thin line.
“Honestly… I can’t really say. Most of the neighborhood is just older people, but even when I had friends around we just drove around spending money on food. Was it the same where you used to live?”
“ Not really. We lived more out of the suburbs and I had a few friends around. We mostly just sat around my attic and gossiped”
“Gossiping is the universal binding for all teenagers with nothing to do”
Lucy gave a small chuckle to that and you both fell into silence. You start to overthink what you just said.
Does she think I’m some vapid image obsessed person? Does she think I’m boring? Ffffuckkk Y/N why do you have to be so weird- Your thinking is interrupted as you reach the courts and Lucy turns to you
“Do you.. uhm do you wanna play with me? I was just planning to practice against the wall but I brought my other racket. Not that this was my plan all along ! But that I sometimes bring two just to kinda feel it out until I’m in a groove or whatever…”
Ahh so she’s nervous too.
“Nah I understand and yeah! But just to warn you I have ZERO hand-eye coordination.”
Lucy smiles and pulls off a corded hair tie from her wrist and hands it to you, “Do you wanna tie up your hair?”
You smile and nod and flip your head upside down to gather your strands together between the cords.
After 10 minutes of playing tennis, only one round ending in a very successful back and forth, you both sat down on the court together rolling the ball back and forth with your rackets.
 Lucy laughed at your jokes and you laughed at hers. With each time you mention the becomings of an inside joke you see her eyes crinkle and a full toothed smile emerge from her face.
“Have you moved in completely?”, you ask.
“No, not really, like I still have my clothes to fold and books to organiz-”
“ ...and you came out here to play tennis?”
She rolled her eyes and grinned “ I have all summer to move in”
“ and then move back in for university” you pause for a moment “Do you need any help? I’m very experienced with placing books upright and folding fabric into 4 sided shapes”
Lucy turns and lifts her brows, “ I don’t know in my house we can only fold our linens into 7 sided heptagons… but I suppose we can use your lifting for the piles of books we have”
She glances at your arms.
“Put those arms to work”
You scrunch your face together and glance between her and your arms.
“Okay! I get it! So you have all summer to move in and I have all summer to build up my guns.”
Lucy face turns to worry “Oh no! I didn’t mean it like that, you have nice arms Y/N that’s what I am trying to say”
“Aw, well these babies only come out when I’m picking up like Cheerios from my floor. And after failing to hit your throws for like 2 hours.”
“Yeah you really weren’t lying about coordination”
“Hey! I can do other things”
“Elaborate?”
You begin to speak with confidence but it falters as you can’t seem to find anything worth bragging about. Until...
“You know what, I’ll show you, whenever you want at your house”
“Okay,” Lucy pauses “are you doing anything tomorrow”
“Might be busy with another girl from Mary Scott university beating my ass in tennis but I’ll push her aside just for you”
Lucy scoffs “ Okay, so maybe 12?”
“That’s when I wake up”
“1?”
“You know let me just give you my number and you give me a wake up call.”
“God, you are true Baker’s material.”
 Seeing as the sky was turning pink, you and Lucy returned to your street, earning a few bug bites on the way back.
“Welp, it was nice to meet you Lucy, I’ll see you later”
You reach your arm out for a hand shake.
But Lucy’s arm invited you into a small hug, a distance between both your chests. You were a little stunned, but wrapped your arms around her anyways. Lucy parted first, with a “Bye Y/N” and a small smile. You couldn’t quite place the small jump in your stomach when she said your name. Turning around you walked back into your house, hoping she’ll remember to call you tomorrow.
This is inspired by my impossibly active cousin (Anne) who did this before... So the boys and Lucy are going on a hiking trip to have a picnic on the mountain peak and Ben just RUNS up the entire thing (even with his backpack and equipment with him) and reaches the top in less than 30 minutes. It takes everyone else 3 hours to catch up.
Thanks for your patience! Things just took a dramatic turn in my life and I had to put aside my writing a bit to prioritise family
643 Words
“Ben? Ben, where you going, man!” Gwil glanced away from the map board they have all gathered around, hearing Ben shifting away from them all, and yep, he was jogging to the mouth of the path.
“Come on you lazy git! Running it’ll be fun! Joe, you’ll run it with me?” Jogging backwards, Ben moved his eyes from the Welshman to Joe once he realised he wasn’t going to get him to come with him.
“Fuck no!” Joe laughed, gesturing back at the map as he shoved his sunglasses down and went back to looking at the path they were trying to choose.
“Fuck off”
That was the last they saw of Ben for a while.
They were meant to have a lovely, relaxing hike, just spending some time together with no rushing about or worries, but nope, the blond muscle man decided he was going to be active and healthy and show off by running the entire thing. The other point-blank refused to do that, yep, they were going to walk, were going to do what they said they were going to do and enjoy the limited time they actually get to be together.
Rami scoffed and rolled his eyes as Ben sped off, and instead made a point of going slow and picking out random flowers and bugs and getting everyone to come and look. As if he’d run.
It was a good warm day, the sun not being too bad, but still, they wiped off the sweat and all discussed the possibility of finding a passed out Brit. They still didn’t rush. Why would they, when they had all the food with them? Ben had the blankets and cutlery strapped to his back and had thought it wise to sprint up the hill. He was the village idiot this time around, so they were going to enjoy the chance to walk slowly.
They do eventually get to the top, a good three or so hours later, and are relieved not to have found Ben passed out somewhere. Up at the viewpoint, there's a few benches around, a few old and large trees offering some shade. It’s under one of these trees, propped up against the base of it, that they find Ben.
Arms crossed over his chest, head falling forward in slumber and legs splayed out ahead of him, Bens obviously been here for a while. Lucy sniggers as she notes the pinkness on his legs, obviously the dabbled shade not enough to warn off the suns rays, and she grabs one of the water bottles from her bag and wonders over to Ben, unscrewing the lid and pouring a little on his sweat matted hair.
Startling awake, Ben’s limbs flay out and gets laughs from the others of the group and flinging water all over the place as he shook his head. He gaped up at Lucy, we squatted down in front of him and casually sipped from the bottle as Bens surprise turned to glare and then into a bashful smile.
“You guys finally got here then,” his voice was gruff as the others came around, Joe moving to sit next to Ben with his back against the same trunk.
“Yeah, it was actually a really nice walk,” Gwil shrugged off his bag and looked out over the landscape below. It seemed quite and peaceful up here, only a few other groups have made the hike up on this pleasant day.
“Some really good things we had to stop and look at,” Rami grinned, shoving his sunglasses up more as Ben rolled his eyes up at his friend, “was a shame we had to rush up, would’ve loved to really look at some more stuff”
“Oh fuck off,” Ben laughed, “Took you guys long enough as it is. Nearly starved to death up here. Vulture food I would’ve been”
The Music Sounds Better With You
Lucy Boynton x Female!Reader
A/N: Hi, everyone! This is something very different than anything I’ve ever written, in the sense that it involves a same sex pairing. But, I’ve wanted to write something that truly illustrates some specific experiences I’ve had over the past five years. A lot of the details in this story are very similar to those in my life, a lot of the feelings the reader experiences are my own. I hope this resonates with those of you who have struggled with coming to terms with your sexuality, this is my story essentially. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to go to my senior prom with Lucy Boynton, but I’m sure you all catch my drift. I hope you all enjoy this, it’s a story directly from my heart. Thank you all for the support. I am forever in your debt. -macy:)
Summary: Teenaged love is never pretty but with Lucy, there’s an exception. With her, it's devastatingly beautiful.
Word Count: 6.5k words
Warnings: cursing, angst, discussion of homophobia and homophobic beliefs/attitudes, my cheesy writing
Tumblr media
If there was a period in time in which you’d recognized that you were different, it would probably be around 8th grade. It was then, at the tender age of thirteen, thatyou’d discovered this seemingly foreign attraction to girls. It scared you, no one had ever really explained to you the concept of same sex attraction, you’d assumed no one saw the need. Growing up in a conservative family, where the idea of homosexuality was the work of the devil, was terrifying when you were harboring these clandestinefeelings. Sunday mornings were always dreaded, two hours sat uncomfortably in a wooden pew while the preacher screamed of fire and brimstone was never fun. Heated classroom discussions revolving around same sex marriage and the disgusted looks of your peers was enough to drive you into the darkness. You wanted so badly to be considered normal. Tobe accepted by a group of people you really didn’t care about was the ultimate goal. So, for almost five years, you ignored the feeling. You built a wall, an impenetrable one at that.
No one knew. Well, at least that was what you had assumed. You were good at concealing your less than traditional attraction towards the same sex, you’d essentially mastered the craft at this point. You mimicked the behavior you thought was acceptable and kept your head down. Playing the part of the typical straight girl had become muscle memory at this point; it sucked but it was a routine you habitually followed every day.
You wished you didn’t have to. It was torture living a lie, but you had your reasons. The Deep South was an unforgiving landscape for anyone outside of the realm of heterosexuality. You feared you would damage your reputation; as silly as it sounds, it was a completely valid fear. And of course, you feared the shift of perception from your friends and family. Would they see you differently? Would your most important relationships be tarnished? Would they accept you?
The thoughts clouded your mind almost every day. It wasn’t a constant dwelling, but every time you’d spare a longing glance at the pretty girl across the street, you were reminded of the repercussions you may suffer as a result of coming out. It was painful; but it was your reality and sometimes, reality bites.
***
The halls of your private high school were almost suffocating as you weaved your way through thick crowds of laughing girls, intimidating football players, and kissing couples. The air felt heavy, no doubt due to the growing humidity characteristic of the south. The scratchy white button down required of the uniform wasn’t helping you cool down either. You ignored the sharp stares burning into your frame as you neared your locker. You lengthened your strides, hurrying to escape their gazes. Themoment after you punched in your locker combination, you buried your head into it and groaned. You drew in a deep breath and began filing away the numerous papers and textbooks you held in your arms. This was routine. Youwent to school for seven agonizing hours a day, played the part required you, and returned to an empty home, usually ending the night with a few stray tears. You accepted that today would be no different, just a few inches from misery, until your eyes caught a glimpse of a familiar head of fluffy blond hair. Lucy.
Lucy Boynton, thegirl you’d grown up with, the girl who happened to be your good friend, the girl you were unfortunately in love with. You’d identified your feelings towards her around the tail end of ninth grade.
She had come over to sleep the night, the summer air was unusually crisp, and the moon was looming over you both laid out on the cool grass of your backyard. Lucy was pulling laughs from you effortlessly, her bright smile could be seen despite the growing darkness, almost as blinding as the light the moon was providing. Her eyes were narrowed by her wide grin, her blonde hair was chopped just below her chin, curling towards her cheeks. And for a short, life changing moment, you felt the rotation of your small world slow. You watched her talk and giggle in slow motion, you were in complete awe at the girl before you. You knew immediately that you were definitely different, this wasn’t just a case of envy, this was attraction. That night, your heart belonged to the blonde. Youwere okay going the rest of your life without her knowing, as long as you’d never have to live life without her presence.
“Y/N!” Her voice was sweeter than any calorie dense candy, naturally smooth and kind. Your heart immediately fluttered at the sound and you slowly turned to greet her, the hug she wrapped you in the only touch you’d ever want to experience if possible. She pulled away, her hands still planted firmly on your tense shoulders. Her smile characteristically bright as she scanned you up and down, face falling as she registered how on edge you seemed to be, but didn’t acknowledge it, which you were thankful for.
“So, senior prom is right around the corner. You plan on gracing the graduating class with your presence?” She teased, nudging your side with her elbow.
You couldn’t prevent the flustered grin that graced your features, it wasn’t uncommon for you to grow sheepish at her words. You gave her a mocking laugh, slamming your locker shutand shuffling hesitantly towards your first period. Shefollowed you, despite her class being on the other end of campus.
“I don’t know yet.” You sighed, and Lucy seemed disappointed for a moment, but you excused it as a trick of the eye.
“What? It’s senior prom. You can’t miss it.” She whined, giving you a pout, which was accompanied by her wide, baby blue eyes.
“I’ll think about it, Luce.” You sighed, giving her a soft grin. She seemed satisfied, skipping slightly in the direction of her first class, sending you a wave as her bright form retreated. You watched her leave, a drunken smile playing at your lips. The rest of your day went on as expected, thoughts of a particular blonde girl plaguing your mind.
***
You didn’t really have to think about it; If Lucy asked, you complied. The weekend after she had asked you to consider going to senior prom you were at the local mall, buried deep in a pile of potential dresses. The variety of colors, fabrics, and cuts were quickly overwhelming and the desire to call Lucy for help grew with every garment you tried on. Nothing felt right; most had too much beading, some were too tight in awkward places, others were too big in awkward places.
You were down to the last dress you’d brought into the changing room, its silky fabric and glittering faux jewels taunting from the hook it was hung on. You frowned, uncrossing your tense arms and plucking it from the wall with slight hesitation. You tried fruitlessly to pull the dress over your head before realizing it had a torso length zipper down the back. Groaning, you pulled the dress off, unzipped the back, and stepped into the fabric pooled onto the floor. You closed your eyes as you pulled it over your frame, afraid of what would be staring back at you from the full-length mirror before you. To your surprise, the dress slipped on easily, wrapping comfortably around the curves and slopes of your figure. With your eyes still closed, you fumbled with the zipper until it clicked in place at the back of your neck. A relieved sigh left your lips, the dress fit and as you shifted, it moved in tandem with you without restraint. You finally allowed your eyes to open and they almost watered when they focused on the figure in the mirror. The dress was a beautiful baby blue, beaded conservatively at the bust, and flared elegantly from your waist. It was the last dress you had picked, and you’d imagined it wouldn’t look nice on you, but it did. You couldn’t contain the excited squeal that left your lips, the small spin you gave the mirror was indicative of your happiness. Your hands couldn’t stop from carding gently through the folds of the skirt, your fingers taking in every hem and thread of the material. The sparkling beading at your chest was nothing compared to the shine in your eyes.
Your eyes instinctively grabbed your phone, ready to break the news to Lucy that you had found your dress. Before your fingers typed out any words you furrowed your brows in thought for a moment, then you began to type.
“What color is your dress?” You typed, hesitating before pressing send. Lucy replied within seconds.
“It’s a light blue. Like a baby blue. Why?”
You smiled, and quickly typed a response. “No reason. Just wondering. See you Monday.” You hit send and switched off your phone, throwing it to the distressed dressing room chair in the corner.
You were definitely getting this dress. If you couldn’t explicitly go to prom as Lucy’s date, you could at least match with her. You took off the gown, placing it back on its hanger, and redressed. You gathered the rejected dresses in your arms and hung them back up on the rusty wall hooks. Before you opened the dressing room door, you admired your chosen dress, imagining how Lucy would react, and wishing you could be the one to walk hand and hand with her into the prom venue. Your eyes saddened, your vision going blurry as tears draped your corneas. You slowly grabbed the dress, silently payed for it, and left the shopping mall.
The dress was perfect, almost perfect. The standardof most store-bought prom dresses wastheir obnoxiously long skirts, meant to be hem to the desired length. Of course, your dress was about three inches too long and was in desperate need of an alteration. After delicately laying the plastic protected gown in the backseat of your car, you headed in the direction of where the sewing machine wizard lived, more formally known as your grandmother.
Soon, the white picket fence characteristic of her classically southern home came into view and you turned into her concrete paved driveway, taking a deep breath before exiting your car with the dress tucked protectively under your arm. You hesitated before giving the old oak door a firm knock, you could hear the rattling of a walker and you immediately felt guilty for bothering your poor, arthritic grandmother. When the door cracked open, you were met with your grandmother’s sweet smile and open arms, which you entered gratefully.
“What brings you here?” She asked into your hair, her hand on your upper back a soothing force.
“Prom dress.” You said simply, lifting the garment up, the protective plastic crinkling. She nodded knowingly, flicking down the reading glasses perched atop her head to rest on the bridge of her nose.
“Needs a hem?” She asked, sitting in the chair before her sewing machine with an exhausted huff. You hummed in acknowledgement, giving her a small nod. Without looking up from the needle she was threading, she nodded towards the bathroom.
“Well, go put it on and we’ll see.” You nodded and quickly padded into the bathroom, changing into the dress and emerging from the bathroom, the excess fabric catching under your feet.
“Yeah, definitely needs a hem.” She mumbled, thumbing the end of the skirt and examining it with an experienced gaze. Silently, she began to work, folding and pinning the excess fabric to the appropriate length.
You watched her, envious of her seemingly natural knack for all things fabric and thread.
Halfway through the pinning process, she finally broke the hanging silence, “I heard one of your classmates is taking another boy to prom. Didn’t think they allowed that at your school.”
You drew your lips into a tight line, this was definitely not a conversation you wished to continue.  “No, they do.” You mumbled, keeping your eyes trained at the wall and hoping she’d change the subject.
“That’s a real shame. The school is Christian. And they’re allowing that? I can’t believe it.”
You felt a lump form in your throat and anger climb your spine. You didn’t speak, only nodded, afraid your voice would betray you. The conversation was cut off when she sat up, satisfied with her consistent pin placement. You felt relief flood your chest and quickly moved to change out of the dress and leave.
“I’ll call you when it’s done.” She said, taking the dress from you and reaching up to press a goodbye kiss to your cheek.
You gave her a tight-lipped smile and nodded, turning on your heel and slamming the door behind you. Your car’s interior burned your skin as you flopped into the driver’s seat, but you didn’t care. The anger in your chest was hotter than any sun-bleached leather seats. You couldn’t steady your breathing; your knuckles were stark white from the forceful grip you had on your steering wheel. You wanted to scream, you wanted to yell, prove her wrong, chastise her, but you couldn’t. You couldn’t because she would know. It wouldn’t take much defense from you for her to develop suspicions. You couldn’t, you wanted to, but you couldn’t.
Instead, you rested your forehead against your red-hot steering wheel and cried. You cried bitter tears, ones that fell with almost an audible drip, ones that made a splash when they hit your legs, ones that grieved something that has been long dead within you, ones that grieved your broken dream of a life in which you lived your truth. The dream seems so close at times, the items within it almost tangible, the freedom surrounding it almost felt, but it’s only a dream. It’s within your palm and then reality slaps it out of your hand, grabs you by the face, and reminds you of the truth. Reality spits at your feet and calls you a fool for believing in a world where you’re accepted. And you can’t fight it, you can’t get close enough to get a punch in. It’s quicker than you, sharper than you, and will always be waiting around the next corner to swipe your legs from under you. If life was high school, reality was your bully, and at this rate, graduation seemed so far away.
The sun was dipping below the horizon when you finally looked up from your lap. You started your car and back out of the driveway, starting silently on the route to your house. The entire ride was silent, except for your quiet sniffles and the taunting voice at the back of your mind.
***
You could not believe the sight before you. There stood in the middle of the hallway, surrounded by smiling students and teachers, was Lucy. But not just Lucy, her figure was almost blocked out by the school’s star quarterback with a prom proposal poster in his comically large hands. His expression was arrogant, as if he thought any woman would be a fool to turn him down. He eyed Lucy with a sick hunger and it made your blood sizzle and evaporate in your veins. Anger bubbled in your chest and you made a move to step towards Lucy and remove her from this less than ideal situation until you saw her nod and smile. She said yes.
Your movements ceased, and the beating of your heart stalled completely, the lump in your throat hardened, like acid it burned. The air felt thicker than usual and it seared your skin, burning and blistering wherever it made contact. It felt almost as if the air had been tainted with a poisonous gas, one that entered your lungs and made a home there, prickly and sharp like fiberglass to the skin, inflaming the tender flesh and making a simple breath difficult. Your stomach lurched, begging to be emptied of all its contents, and you could taste the bitterness of bile at the back of your tongue. You swallowed hard, your hands frantically searching for purchase in order to steady your shaky frame. The students around you cheered and whooped and the flashes of phone cameras nearly blinded you as your feet stumbled backwards, your weight barely caught by the brick wall behind the crowd.
You couldn’t breathe, you couldn’t think. The valves or your heart seemed to shutter and pulse unnaturally and you clenched a hand at your chest. This was heartbreak and for a moment, you thought it would prove fatal. You grasped at your throat, trying desperately to encourage air into your lungs. You choked and gasped, nervously searching the room for her but she was preoccupied with the congratulations of your peers. The world around you seemed alien and nothing made sense, the walls surrounding you seemed to crumble and fall to dust. Everything was pitch black and here, you were completely alone. You were pulled from your internal crisis when a fellow student bumped into your shoulder, mumbling an apology as they passed. Your mind was a jumbled mess of thoughts but only one truly stood out, run.
You’d accepted long ago that she’d never be yours, but seeing it happen before your very eyes was a pain greater than anything you’d ever experienced. Like a slap to the face, a punch to the gut, a knife to the heart, all at once. You felt your wide eyes sting with tears and your feet almost instinctively carried you away and out of the big glass doors behind the crowd. No one noticed you leave, all but the one person you hoped hadn’t noticed, Lucy.
Your breathing still hadn’t slowed, and the beginnings of a panic attack flooded your chest, but you pushed the feeling down. Your feet were moving fast with no real destination in mind, you just had to get away, from the reality that no matter how bad you wanted to be with Lucy, no matter how bad you wanted to live your truth, you couldn’t. The tears streaming your face were not only grieving the loss of Lucy, but the loss of yourself, the loss of an idealistic future, and the loss of the foolish thoughts that created the illusion you could achieve such a destiny. Trapped couldn’t begin to describe how you felt. The turmoil that had been churning within you for so long was finally boiling over and you knew it wouldn’t be pretty. Your eyes finally focused on the hidden area behind the main high school building and you darted towards, unaware of the blonde girl right on your heels. You immediately flopped down onto the worn-out wooden bench and screamed into your hands, biting at the fleshy heel to muffle your cries. Your sobs were uninhibited and anyone within a five-foot radius would no doubt be witness to your breakdown.
“Fuck, fuck. I’m such a fucking idiot.” You cried into your palms, your eyes burned, and you were seconds away from violently gripping at the roots of your hair, just to ground yourself, to feel anything other than the ache of your heart, the numbness of your limbs.
“Y/N?” A small voice called from behind the wall’s rounded corner. If it were possible, your heart sunk further into your chest. You craned your neck in the general direction of the sound but said nothing. Lucy’s familiar red converse rounded the corner before her entire body cautiously approached you. She immediately sat down next to you, wrapping an arm around your trembling shoulders. The gesture would usually comfort your worried state but now the touch burned, you could almost feel your skin welt and blister under the weight of her nimble arm.
“You alright?” She asked, eyebrow drawn in concern, the blue of her irises glossy and fogged. She never asked why, and that was something you could appreciate. She never pried or pressed further than you were willing to admit, she only wanted to assure you were alright. It was her nature, sweet and genuine, impossible to not fall in love with. You dragged the heel of your palm against your wet cheek and cleared your scratchy throat.
“Yeah, I’m good.” You lied, giving her your best fake grin.
She seemed unconvinced but characteristically dropped the subject,as she had no other reason to doubt your claims.
“Congrats on the promposal.” You said through gritted teeth, trying to prevent any bitterness from soaking the words.
She nodded and smiled that sweet smile and you shivered at the idea of that quarterback tainting her kind soul, or breaking her pure heart, even using her for the night.
“Thank you.” She seemed disappointed, but you imagined your eyes were creating images less hurtful than what was real.
“I’ve gotta go to class.” You suddenly said, standing up and turning to her.
She nodded, giving you one last grin before she watched you walk off, knowing full well next period was about thirty minutes from now.
***
The next few days were tough. You avoided Lucy like the plague, just the sight of her was too painful. This didn’t go unnoticed by Lucy and every time she sent you her usual smile or timid wave, you ignored it and her heart clenched a bit harder every time.
Now that she was going to prom with the star quarterback, they were considered a semi item among the student body. He kept her on his arm whenever possible and the annoyance in your chest grew with each passing minute. Every time he touched her or glared down at her, nausea rose in your throat and you had to look away to avoid vomiting. He was going to hurt her, you had no doubt in your mind, but you felt helpless. People would start to grow suspicious if you intruded on their “relationship,” and that was the last thing you needed.
Lucy texted you at least a few times a day, all of them going unanswered. Even when she sent you a picture of her prom dress, asking what you thought, you ignored it. Going to prom seemed impossible now, just the idea of having to watch her move on from you from the sidelines brought bitter tears to your eyes.
You wanted so bad to tell her that her dress was beautiful, that the color would look so good with her complexion, that she should wear her hair up, but you couldn’t bring yourself to type the words. You would be doing a disservice to yourself, allowing yourself to feed into the idea of you and her in any way would be detrimental. Torturing yourself with images of her, living a life with her, being with her, was pointless. There was no more you and her, there never would be, there never was.
The sound of your phone’stext tonesounded for the third time today. Lucy, you weren’t surprised.
“Prom is tomorrow! Are you coming?”
Guilt was heavy in your stomach and despite yourself you typed out a response, “Probably not.”
The three small dots at the left corner of the screen bounced, and you grew nervous of her response.
“I’m real bummed you won’t be there. At least come over and hang out tonight. We can have our own prom!” Your heart lurched, she was so sickly sweet, and it hurt your stomach, but you didn’t mind, if anything you could get used to it. Your thumbs tapped at the screen carefully.
“I’ll be there.” You switched off your phone and cursed yourself for not being able to say no to her. You couldn’t if you tried.
***
You arrived at Lucy’s home around five in the afternoon, a pretty reasonable hour. You and Lucy had been friends so long that you didn’t trouble yourself with knocking at the front door, instead let yourself in through the gate, knowing she’d be sat on the backyard swing, waiting for you. And she was.
Still dressed in her school uniform, staring idly at the birds flying overhead, her hair a deep gold by the setting sun, ethereal. Your stomach flipped but you took a deep breath and walked toward her. She noticed you almost immediately and met you halfway, wrapping in a tight hug. Your hands trembled as they gripped her, and you buried your face into her hair, you’d missed this, you’d missed her, and it made the entire situation all the more painful. She pulled away, smiling despite how shitty you’d been treating her the past week.
“So, you wanna tell me why you’re not going to senior prom?” She teased, guiding you by the hand to the white porch swing. You couldn’t help but smile, her energy impossible to brush off, it was infectious.
“I just don’t want to and it’s kinda too late. I don’t have a ticket.” Her smile grew, and her blue eyes took on a glint of mischief, you narrowed your eyes suspiciously.
“What did you do?” You sighed, plopping down next to her. She yanked a bright purple prom ticket from her back pocket and waved it in front of your face. You threw your head back and laughed.
“Now you have to come.” She squealed, almost bouncing in her seat.
“Look, I appreciate it, but I don’t even have a hair or makeup appointment booked.”
“I can do your hair and makeup.”
“I don’t have a date. I don’t wanna go alone.”
“You could come with me.” She said, almost matter of factly, you furrowed your brows in confusion.
“What do you mean? Thought you were going with- “
“I called it off.” She was serious, the hand gripping yours further confirmed how serious she was.
“Why?” You asked, the shock in your voice obvious.
“He’s not the one I want to go with.” She eyed you, almost longingly and the ache in your heart grew. Then it raced, did she know? How could she know? And if she did know, was she teasing you? Did she intend to make a fool of you? Out you to everyone?
“Please don’t joke around like that.” You said lowly, removing your hand from her grip. Her face fell but her determination was unwavering.
“Why can’t we go together?” She seemed hurt, but not in the way you were. She no doubt wanted to go as friends and that wasn’t what you wanted, you didn’t want to damage any image she’d created for herself because of your silly crush.
“We just can’t.”
“Why not?”
“Just, because. Look, Lucy, I’ve gotta go.” She suddenly stood to stop you, grabbing your arm softly, but desperately, almost pleading with you to stay.
“Why have you been pushing me away? I’ve missed you so much. Have I done something?” She rambled, gripping the sleeves of your sweater desperately. Her blue eyes were brimmed with glistening tears and the knot in your gut wrenched and twisted painfully.
“No, God no, Lucy. It’s me, I’m the one with this issue.”
“What do you mean ‘issue’? If it’s an issue, we can work it out together.”
“I can’t tell anyone. Not even you.” She looked hurt, her eyes were glossy and irritated by the sharp sting of tears.
“Why can’t you tell anyone?” Her voice was uneven and small, the tears pricking the corners of your eyes trembled and fell.
“Because I’m fucking scared, Lucy! I’m scared of what people will say, I’m scared of what they’ll think. I’m scared of losing everything. And I’m scared I’ve lost you. I’m scared that I’ve pushed you away past the point of repair. And I’m scared that I’ll go the rest of my life knowing I never told the most incredible girl in the world, that I love her. And I’m most afraid that if I did, she wouldn’t love me back.”
Your eyes were blurred completely by tears, but you could see the look on Lucy’s and it held an emotion you couldn’t name but it resembled heartbreak the most. Her brows were drawn together, her eyes an eerily dark blue under the film of hot tears. It didn’t matter what stupid emotions were troubling you know, the sight of Lucy so hurt was more painful. She released a quiet sob, clenching her teeth to cage them. She walked closer to you and grabbed the sleeves of your sweater tightly, drawing you almost flush against her. Your head snapped up, the tears brimming your eyes spilling over your lower lids. She was trembling, gripping onto you as if letting go would mean you’d disappear.
And then, she kissed you. Briefly, just a small peck, fleeting but soft and demure. And not a second after her lips retreated, they were on yours again. Moving now, frantic almost desperate. Through a silent line of communication, she spoke to you through the movements of her lips, a language foreign to anyone else but native to your tongue. You were stunned, almost unable to reciprocate the kiss as she gripped your face in her soft, shaky hands.
“I’m scared too.” She whispered, still gripping onto you tightly, shaking like a caged animal. You reached up a hand from between your bodies and swiped a strand of hair from her worried face, tucking it behind her ear.
“You don’t have to be.” You mumbled, studying her features for any indication of an emotion besides sadness.
You hated this, hated that she had been fighting the same internal war, that she hadn’t told you, that you hadn’t told her. You hated that she was in pain, pain so similar to yours, pain so great you wouldn’t wish it on your worst enemy. You hated how afraid you had been, how afraid you were now, that even when you were finally getting what you so longed for, things outside of you and Lucy wouldn’t change. You hated them, hated those who detested your identity, those who belittled and mocked you, those who damned your very existence. You hated how humanity had created a violent narrative against you. You cursed the very ground you were both stood on. The ground where hate was sowed into the plowed dirt and nurtured into a creature of intolerance, misunderstanding, and malice. A creature so powerful it dictated the many and condemned the few. A creature made to destroy beyond repair. But while the Earth rejected you, the sky cradled you, wrapping you and Lucy in a veil of luminous silk, its astronomical energy warding off the forces set out to harm the delicate form within its core. When the world seemed wrong, the stars seemed right. For you and Lucy, it’s always been this way. Those countless hours spent gazing at the speckled black of the night sky, finding an escape through the sparkling orbs that were so far away but seemingly close enough to touch. Those nights filled with tears and anger, the galaxy as witness, ready to comfort you both with a spectacular show of light. The night sky was relatable to you and Lucy, it’s misunderstood and sometimes disregarded, only loved by those who accept its mystery, its divergence from the known or approved. And like the stars hung so high up in the infinite span of outer space, you and Lucy are beautiful constellations of light, explosive spheres of energy, luminous fragments of all the known heavenly bodies. The sky understood, and the sky accepted, it is devoid of hate and judgement, only knowing how to follow its design. And so, like the night sky, you decided to accept and follow your design, for going against it would be going against your very nature. The hate within you extinguished and you gripped Lucy tighter, hoping the great expanse above you knew grateful you were for its mere existence.
“I’m here.” You murmured into her shoulder, your feet feeling unstable beneath you as your mind swirled and hammered. You could feel her tears through your shirt, her nails digging into the skin of your upper back, her teeth as they clenched. You couldn’t recall how many times you had cried like this, for this reason and the thought of Lucy doing the same was a heavy blow to the gut. She suddenly looked up, sniffling before taking a deep breath.
“I’m afraid, but I’m not enough of a coward to deny the way I feel about you.” Your breath was caught in your throat, hearing her say what you so longed to hear was an experience beyond anything this earth could provide.
“I am in love with you. And I know sometimes the words seem hollow or dull but trust me when I say that I love you. Not the kind of love that you throw away or that can be forgotten at the back of your mind. No, it’s the kind of love that scares the shit out of you. The kind that makes you so vulnerable you’re afraid it’ll mess you up. The kind that I only have for you. The kind I want to feel for the rest of my life. I don’t need to see it because I feel it. Everywhere, even when you’re not around I feel it. It’s been weaved into the fabric of my mind. You’re a part of me forever. And I don’t need a reason to doubt it, I trust it. I trust you, and I think that has made all the difference.” Her voice was small, but so beautifully sweet and reassuring that you’d completely forgotten the reasons you’d felt so afraid. She’s just told you everything you’d ever wished to hear fall from her lips and in this moment, nothing else mattered but her. Nothing else ever mattered but her.
You couldn’t speak, the smile on your face hurt, words would do justice to the feeling in your chest. So, you just kissed her, hoping she would know. Hoping she could feel the love, maybe even see it in the abstract shapes behind her eyelids, maybe even in the brighter stars in the sky. She placed a gentle hand on your face as you pulled away, her blue eyes still legible in the dark.
“Will you come to prom with me?”
“I’d be stupid not to.”
***
It’s raining. It’s raining on prom night.
You don’t mind, though, and you don’t think Lucy will either. You’re waiting for her, cross-legged under the venue’s covered patio, you have to resist the urge to pick at your freshly painted nails. They’re blue, just like your dress, and just like hers. The rain isn’t heavy, just a gentledrizzle, but it’s enough to have the boys covering their freshly gelled hair with their suit jackets and the girls running awkwardly for cover in their high heels, trying desperately to shield their styled hair with their clutches. You crack a smile every time someone arrives, each of them putting on a little show unique to them. It’s still early and you don’t have the nerve to go in alone, but you’re okay waiting for her. She’s been worth the wait, she always will be.
The faint clicking of heels catches your attention and your head snaps up, thinking it’s another one of your classmates trying to escape the rain, but it’s not. It’s that blonde girl, that sweet smile, those blue eyes and button nose. It’s her, it’s Lucy.
It’s almost in slow motion, like a scene from a movie. The rain seemingly makes a path for her, the droplets somehow hitting and bouncing off an invisible force field that surrounds her. The blue dress she’s wearing was made for her, like birds were made for the sky and fish for the ocean. The silken fabric billows lightly in the wind, almost dissolving into shining particles at its end. Like Aphrodite arising from the milky foam of the Mediterranean Sea, she emerges from the sheet of rain and under the canopy, greeting you like she always does, smiling. You almost don’t feel her take your hand, or lead you through the large double doors, or onto the dance floor. You immediately feel anxiety bubble in your gut as she wraps her arms around you, the urge to push away from her is strong.
“Lucy, they’ll know.” You whisper into her ear, your eyes wide and nervous. You were more nervous for her reputation rather than yours. This was the moment where you were to face your greatest fear, and you weren’t doing very well.  She gives you a sweet grin and leans in close to your ear.
“I want them to know. I want the whole fucking world to see how much I love you.” You didn’t respond, only wrapping your arms around her, resting your head on her shoulder and swaying in tandem with her to the beat of a song you didn’t really care about.
The chandeliers above you don’t really look like chandeliers anymore. No, they look like a great sea of stars and you are both dancing among them. There are maybe one hundred other kids in the room, but you don’t notice them, you don’t hear them, you don’t even feel them squeeze past you. You can only feel how tightly Lucy is holding you to her, you can only feel her lips against your forehead, the ends of her blonde hair tickling your cheek. Her breathing is steady and calm, her heartbeat strong, and it’s almost music to your ears, a sound that could lull you to sleep. She smells like lemongrass and rain, like late nights and early mornings, like the trip and the destination, like the past and the future. She’s like a warm day in July, a field of tall grass, a flock of migrating birds, a clear sky, home. She is the sun that provides for the earth, the rain that soothes dry deserts, the comfort that eases worried minds, the rhythm that guides the dance of life and despite any previous fear, you’re unafraid in her arms, swaying under the stars of a night sky she painted with a practiced grace. If anything in life matters, it’s her, and you’re completely fine with that.
The night ends as it began, with her. The fear retreats and the sadness flees. Anger is replaced with peace and hate, with love. The sun emerges and for once, the earth feels welcoming. You finally feel a sense of belonging in this world you call home. There is peace like no other with her. Awash in the tide of her vast seas you drift, but not without direction. There is peace in knowing that she is by your side. There is good. She is the good.
Maybe you’re too young and naive to know what it is, but if you had to take a wild guess, this is it. This is love. And God, what a beautiful thing it is.
- I really hope this was worth the three week wait! Thank you all for your patience and endless love! Feedback is very much appreciated!
Folie á Deux (Lucy Boynton Angst/smut)
Tumblr media
A/N: this is very angsty and also I am not used to writing girlxgirl smut stuff so give me a break if it is not very spicy, okay?  I also have to announce that I caught a horrible cold and I have tried to get some stuff done but I am just high on paracetamol and antibiotics, dealing with a runny nose and teary eyes. I’m honestly so defeated rn...regardless, please enjoy!
Lucy was mad.
You were talking to Jack all night. Of course, you did not know him at all until that night when part of the cast for Sing Street gathered for dinner. You were in London for work along with Lucy, the two of you doing press for your latest project: a Netflix original series in which you played the roles of best friends going on a journey to discover themselves while trying not to become background noise in the competitive world of beauty pageants. It was crazy to film but the script had you in stitches half the time and in tears the other half. Lucy shared the feeling once the script got to her, and since wrapping for the project you had been even more inseparable than before.
“So I see you like Jack.” Lucy pointed out as you stepped out of the uber you were sharing to the hotel.
You scratched your elbow and turned to her with a shrug.
“He is cute,” you admitted. “I just think I like blonds better.”
Lucy huffed and looked away from you and through her window. Suddenly your curiosity peaked and you watched your friend with more attention, she crossed her arms over her chest and seemed to look...annoyed?
No. You knew Lucy too well to fall for it. She was straight up mad. Angry.
“Oh, what?” You let your hands fall and slap against your legs, exposed by the short dress. “Should I send in a request before I hang out with one of your friends? Dear Lucy, may I, Y/N, spend an hour or so talking to this man.”
Lucy’s arms wrapped tighter around herself making you roll your eyes without noticing her glancing back at you at that exact moment.
“Of course, always so dramatic...” Lucy complained.
“Well, why don’t you tell me what’s wrong then!” You lean forward and feel your h/c hair fall over your shoulders, brushing against your skin.
The car stopped and you stepped out into the street, walking past a few people and entering your hotel together. It did not seem like the right time to pull on Lucy’s hand but that was exactly what you did once the large double doors of the main entrance closed behind you.
“Luce! Wait up!” Your hand lingered on hers as she turned to face you.
Both stood at the same height due to the heels you wore. You stared at each other for a moment and it was right then that you saw that burning look on her face. The one you tried to hide from her so badly for years. In her green eyes, you could see that dark speck of jealousy. Lucy was jealous? Of what?
You found yourself blushing and your friend noticed it, she pulled her hand out of yours and turned to keep walking to the lift. Following her at a slower pace than before, you walked into the shiny metal box that would take you to your floor.
“It’s...” Lucy pushed her lips together and tried not to pout, although she did it all the time. “I’m probably just being stupid...”
You pushed the button to your floor, both stayed in rooms that were only a hallway away from each other.
“If it’s making you this mad, it is not that. Come on!” You urged your friend to talk to you. “Tell me.”
The lift was left in silence as Lucy pondered the idea of telling you what was really bothering her. She took her precious time, so much so that the doors opened on your floor and revealed a long hallway with doors at each side. You watched her step out in her beautiful pink Miu Miu dress, her short hair pulled halfway up in a messy little platinum bun.
You had decided that you would wear something more simple for that evening, a flowy blue spaghetti strap dress that went well with a pair of white shoes. You had your hair done that morning to do an interview for BBC Radio One and left your hair in that cute wavy shape it was all day.
Lucy stopped suddenly at her door and turned to you.
“I don’t want to make it awkward for the rest of the press tour, so you can just...forget about it.” She nodded a few times as if you could do that.
“No,” you objected. “It has been like this for a while, why are you so jealous?”
“Jealous!” Lucy’s eyes opened as wide as they could go, her voice went up a few octaves. “I am not jealous!”
“Yes, yes you are!” You argued. “First with Mazzello, now with Jack!”
She huffed.
“You were throwing yourself at Joe...” She muttered.
You watched her swipe her card on the door lock and pull it open.
“You know I don’t even like him...” you rolled your eyes, sneaking inside her room before she could push the door closed on your face. “Do you think that I won’t have time for you if I get into a relationship? Is that it?”
Lucy remained quiet for a moment.
“It’s almost as if you liked me...” you chuckled, thinking of how improbable that was.
It was odd, but Lucy looked almost hurt. The blonde stopped and put her hand against the back of her arm, her gaze fell on the floor and she swallowed hard to the sound of your bitter laughter.
All colour left your face and seemed to run down to your legs and feet in preparation to run. Paradoxically enough, you were unable to move.
“You like me?” You whisper, your voice faltering.
Lucy mirrored you, standing still her green eyes slowly found your figure still by the door of her small hotel room. She let her arms fall at her sides and stepped to the side, shrugging as she faced you, looking suddenly smaller than she was.
You opened your mouth to say something but could not bring yourself to find your own voice; half frustrated you closed your mouth and dropped your little purse on a chair near the wall, reaching for your friend with your hands out for her. Lucy grabbed your hands with hesitation and did not dare to lift her head as she hid her pink cheeks from you.
Without saying a word you stepped closer to her and cupped her cheek, her eyes closed, comforted by the touch of your skin on hers. With a soft move, you made her look up and smiled at her.
With big round eyes, Lucy examined your expression, not mad and not sad. She felt a twirl of confusion in her chest but it lasted a short second, it was stopped with a sudden touch of your lips on hers.
Closing your eyes you leaned into Lucy and kissed her bright pink lips, inviting as always. Her lips fit yours perfectly, and her hands pulled you closer now. The two of you brushing lips in a long careless kiss. You tangled your fingers in her hair and felt her hands on your waist, pulling you closer until your chests were pressed against each other.
“I like you,” you say when you pull away from the kiss, still holding each other. “You have to say it too, Luce”
With her nose pressed to yours, Lucy nodded.
“I like you.” She admits at last.
You smile at her and push a strand of hair away from her face. Smiling as well she pulls her hands away from your waist and touches your hair before sliding her arms over your shoulders.
“I don’t wanna leave now...” You whisper pressing a kiss to Lucy’s cheek.
Lucy giggles and throws her head back enough to pull away from your lips, only to offer you her lips.
“Don’t go then.”
With that, you let go of each other and kick your shoes off. Lucy takes to kissing down your neck as she pushed the straps of your dress off. You reached to your back and pulled the zipper down so you could be set free from the piece.
You grabbed Lucy’s face gently and brought your lips back on hers as you wrapped your arms around her, finding her own zipper and pulling it down.
“You are so handsy!” Lucy laughed at your abilities with the zipper.
Lucy slipped her hand down your butt, so you took the chance to talk back to her.
“Oh, look who’s talking!” You bite her lip.
Lucy giggled and plays with your long earring between her fingers. You stepped back and let the dresses fall down and pool around your feet. Standing in front of each other in nothing but panties you are pushed onto the bed by the pale figure of your best friend.
Falling back on the bed with Lucy on top of you, you laugh and push her hair away, staring into her eyes until the last second as she comes in for a kiss. You finally closed your eyes and felt those soft lips on yours once again, probably by now your lips were a mixture of lipsticks, from her bright pink one and your creamy orange one. The two slid hands down each other’s bodies.
Soon you rolled on the bed and undid whatever styling there was on Lucy’s hair. You hovered over her body and covered her neck and breasts with kisses. She grabbed handfuls of the sheets once you reached down her stomach, playfully pulling on the waistband of her underwear. Instead of pulling them away, you left the panties in their place and kissed her hipbones, kneeling farther down on the bed you kissed her thighs. Frustrated, Lucy sat up and cupped your chin, kissing your mouth with a new hunger and eagerness you had not felt before, leaning forward into her you sat between her legs and slid your hand inside her underwear, teasing her for a moment as you felt for the wetness already gathering in her panties.
“Please...?”
Lucy let her hands cup your cheeks and you nodded, pushing her back on the mattress. You pulled the last piece of clothing off of her body and gave her hipbones a little peck before sliding your tongue over that sensitive nub of hers. taking her in slowly as she moaned with shyness, holding on to the bedsheets around her, you put your tongue to work and ate her out with all you had until she was carelessly whimpering beneath you, you could tell she was coming a moment later, she tried to let you know, but she got lost in it. Her orgasm hit her hard, you watched her back arch and felt her legs shake. She called out your name, only yours, over and over until she came down from her high.
You left a trail of sloppy open-mouthed kisses on her stomach and chest as she recovered her breath, which she did rather quickly. With a burst of eager laughter, she wrapped her arms around your waist and rolled you over.
“Your turn!” She sang filled with enthusiasm.
Always knew you / chapter sixteen
Joe Mazzello x reader
Warning: swearing, speak about lost loved ones, and a lot of emotions.
Comment: Y/N is corrently 22, while Joe is 36.
Summary: you knew Joe all of your life, and as best friends you two always find the way back to each other.
Tumblr media
The day just came and you are in your dress, your hair is already braid into a bohemian half updo, just us your make up is on point thanks to Lucy and you only had half an hour to get to the altar. You placed your hand on your stomach, it was still a new feeling.
You hear a knock on your door. “Can I come in?” You hear Ben.
“Yeah ofcourse!” You nod, and drop your hands.
“How do you feeling?” He asks as he comes in.
“Nervous...” you wishper.
“Do you want me to sneak you out? I mean I don’t want to break his heart, but if you...”
“No, no, no! Not that kind of nervous!” You cut in.
“Oh okay, you made me nervous about need to sneak you out!” He hushes, and you laugh. He looks down and up on you. “You are really beautiful!” He comes to hug you. “God, Joe was right, your boobs are looking bigger...” slips out of his mouth and you see him already regreting. “Sorry...” he start but he is cut off by you.
“He did notice?” You panic, not even thinking what you are speaking.
“Noticing what?” Ben looks at you with confusion on his face.
“Nothing, really nothing...” you try to calm yourself down with breathing slowly, and then you see his face changing.
“Are you saying what I think you are saying?” He asks in shook.
“No I’m not saying anything!” You shout back quietly.
“You are pregnant!” He almost yells. You look at him, but don’t deny his clames. “You are pregnant!” His voice is start to get more louder.
“Sssh!” You put your finger over your lips to make him shot up.
“You are fucking pregnant!” He wishpers, and you give up and nod. “Oh my God!” He says before he hugs you again. “What was Joe’s reaction?” He asks, and again you are not answering. “You didn’t told him yet?” His jaw drops open.
“No!” You wishper. “I wanted to suprise him tomorrow, after everything is settled”
“You are afaird he leaves you?” He looks at you confused.
“No! I just want him to enjoy his wedding without wanting to tell everyone so bad!” You wishper. “It is enough I feel like that!”
“So who knows?” He asks softly.
“You!” You smile lightly at him.
“I’m the first you told?” He asks.
“I did not told you!” You corect him. “You find out yourself, but yeah you are the first to know about it!” You nod.
“Oh God!” He hugs you again.
“Tell me about it!” You tap your stomach as you pull away.
“How many weeks?” He asks.
“Seven!” You wishper not even believing what you two are speaking about.
“Seven...” he repeats your words with amazment. “Wait, you shouldn’t drink then!” You see him getting upthight.
“Yeah, I have a plan it will be hard to make it alone, but somehow I will trick everyone...”
“Even Joe?” He cuts in.
“Even Joseph, that I’m drinking.”
“I’m in!” He shouts immediately.
“What?” You look at him in disbelieve.
“You had Joe last time to drink your stuff, you have me now!” He confirms.
“You want to help?” You ask in shook.
“What is a godfather for?” He smiles at you, and you laugh.
“I would thank you, if you help me out somehow!” You admit.
“You just need to not drink from the glasses you get, I hug you, or we meet in the dark hallway and change the full to the empty... easy peasy!” He smacks.
“It is not that easy like you think Joe was never that drunk before, but try this, and see how it is working.” You nod.
“Deal!” He hugs you again kissing your cheek.
“Honey, It’s time!” You hear your dad from the outside of the door. As the door opens Ben hands you to your father.
“Jeremy, isn’t she beautiful?” He asks with a smirk on his face.
“She is the most beautiful woman I ever seen!” Admits your dad, as he looks at you with tearful eyes.
“Dad...” you feel your eyes getting wet, as you look at him with your head tilted to the side.
“Me too, Honey!” He answers your unspoken words before he kisses your forhead, as he walks with you down the hallway.
You enter the room and you see every eye sticking to you. You look up to face Joe across the room. He looks handsome, and you feel the blutterflies flying in your stomach, as your heart skips a beat. It was it, the moment you were waiting for months now, and you couldn’t be happier. You see the shook on his face, and you know he has the same thoughts on his mind right now. You see Ben, Qwilym, and Rami on Joe’s side, and Lucy, Judith and Tricia your two high school best friends on your side of the altar.
As you get there you see the unfallen tears in Joe’s eyes and you know you have them too. You hear the pastor, but the words are just a big mess in your head, until you hear Joe’s full name, and he starts. “Oh Silly, I never thought this day will come, even after you said yes I couldn’t believe this is true, but look at us, it is. All of your life you wraped me around your finger with that bright soul you have, even as a three years old little girl who huged me after four days of school trip like I came back from death. It is true I had fall in love with you over night, and yet over a life time. You made me your best friend even I was a teenager, and you were just born, that was going on until you turned 18, that night I took you to Paris to drink legally for the first time, and everything changed. You made me fall for you, even we were afraid to let ourself believe it, it was just like that, you kissed me, and I kissed you back, there was no coming back. Everytime since than I dated someone they were never good enough compered to you, everytime you dated someone I felt the jelousy eating me inside. I love you, Silly, I love you more than anything! I’m the luckiest man as you choosed me over a million younger, and better version!” He chuckles, and you feel a tear falling down from your cheek as you giggle too, before it is your turn.
“Silly, there is maybe younger but no better version than you, believe me. I can’t remember the night we met, but I know you were my home from that minute you first held me in your arms. I know from lot of people that whenever I was screaming, or crying and you were around they called for you, and as I get into your arms I was quiet, and relaxed. I still feel the same, and my love just growing everyday. I tried to hid it from myself, but to be fair you were the man of my life since I can remember. Your smile is just lights up the same when we see eachother after a long time, just when I escaped the car to run to you, and believe me, you haven't aged a day!” You smile at him, and you know he knows you were qouting him. “I experienced my life next to you, and I’m the happiest to do it till I die! I had many adventures with you, as a kid, as a teenager, as an adult, and can’t wait to have more as your wife, or as a parent. We have so much ahead of us, and I can’t wait to jump into it, I loved you all of my life, you were my childhood crush, and now you will be my husband, I’m the luckiest woman in this universe, but I’m sure in any other too, that I could fall in love with you, to have you as my best friend, my supporter, my still rock, my life, my heart, the father of my children of anytime, my husband. I will never get tired to say it: my husband. I love you, husband, and always will, more and more everyday!” You can’t see anymore as tears are fulling your eyes.
You hear the pastor again, it is blurry to your ears again, until you hear Joe. “I do”
You hear the words, you hear your name and you just simple say, and your heart stops for a moment. “I do”
You feel his hand grabing your hips, and than his lips on yours. You are married. You married your best friend/childhood crush. You giggle as you look into his smiley hazel eyes as he pulls away. You hear the aplause as your friends and family are claping and screaming in excitment.
As the party started everyone came to congratulate to you, as you were standing next to eachother. You get very excited when you see Ben and the mysterious plus one. You hold your hand out and say as she grabs it. “Oh God, nice to meet you! I’m Y/N if you haven’t guessed!” You laugh as you pull her into a hug, and you see how Ben rolls his eyes.
“Hi! Congratulation, I’m Annabelle!” She smiles at you even you can see she feels a little akward.
“Nice to meet you!” Joe hugs her too. You see Ben’s face and you pull your shoulder giggling on him.
After everyone gave you a hug and said they wishes you were able to get to the dance floor, to dance your first dance. You are my best friend starts and you wrap your arms around his neck, even you are almost as height as him as you are wearing highheels. Your forheads are pushed together, as you slowly move to the music. It is not really a coreogaphed thing since your injurey you are happy, your wound healed in time, so you can wear the shoes you wanted.
“I love you, wifey!” He wishpers.
“I love you, Hubby!” You giggle, before you kiss him.
After you had your first dance your dad comes to take you while Ginnie is about to dance with Joe. As your mother takes Joe, your heart aches as John is the one who dances with you next, and not Joseph. You see your husband’s eyes for a minute and you know he thinks the same. Almost hours gone by while everyone get to you two to dance with you, before you could start dinner.
You have been pretty great with not drinking alcohol, as you had no time at all, to even get a glass in your hands.
As everyone is sitting down and the dinner starts your father stands up to toast. “I was really in trouble with what to say. I saw both of you grow up in front of me to be this bright, happy newly married couple. I can’t fully express my feeling right now, or ever. To be fair I never thought I would have you as my son in law, but I can’t imagine any better man to make my daughter happy for the rest of her life, and I know Joseph is so proud of you two right now!” He says and you feel the tears getting into your eyes, and you feel how Joe who is holding your hand tenses next to you. “My sweet, beautiful daughter, I couldn’t be prider of you. It was a sweet memory when you were following Joe everywhere calling him future husband, everyone laughed you were too cute, to be true, but look at you two now! You married him, just as you said, when you were only three.” He smiles at you with pride in his eyes.
You cannot not smile at him, and silently from: “thank you, I love you!”
“I guess it is my turn!” Stands up Joe. “I can join you Jeremy as I can’t express either what this day means to me. When I say everything, it sounds nothing like I feel, it sounds shallow. So I don’t even try to put it into words again, I just want to thank everyone who came to celebrate with us, to celebrate our love with this beautiful woman! Thank you for guys, our life would be nothing without you!” He ends the toast just as you feel, and kisses your cheek as he sits down.
You stand up with the full glass of champagne in your hand. “I would like to have a little toast as well. First I want to thank our families, for being so tight all the years, for makeing us best friends in the first place, to still have the same sleep overs every year, or atleast every other year. I want to thank our friends for making our life as brilliant as it is, for support us to take the steps...” you wink at Ben, who giggles with tearful eyes on this. “For helping us in everything, for being a big part of our lifes. Thank you all for coming, and celebrate the biggest day of my life!” You lift your glass at the end.
As the waiters are about to serve more food Luc stands up to speak. “I know everyone want to eat, but I would say a toast too. First I want to thank you, Honey, that you choose me, but there comes the bigger thanks to Joe, our jokester for give us this sunshine to be our best friend. I know from the first moment I met each of you, that you two will be in my heart forever, and to be fair as we saw you together we all know this day will come sooner or later. Ooh and I almost forget: guys I need my money, my bet was the closest!” She giggles as she raises her glass.
“Okay, sorry for everyone this is the last one!” Stands up Rami. “Dear Joseph! I know you for half of your wife’s life, that’s a lot” he smirks at Joe. “I heard you speaking about her years now, and I can say you always loved her, even if it wasn’t romantic, or anything like that, you always felt this girl is something special, something you need to adore, because you do, you always did, in a beautiful way. I remember how proud you were when you spoke about her still playing baseball after years, or when you heard she had a home run, you were so proud, you just adored this goofball of sunshine, as you still do... okay I lied you love her more now, but still... Dear Y/N! I can speak in the name of the band... and Lucy” you see how Luc pokes him on the leg as he winks at her. “That it was one of our luckiest day when you came to see what happens on the set. I wouldn’t imagine that a young little girl, who can’t stop laughing, and makes Joe crack up all the time would be our best friend too, but you stole our heart fast and easy. I want to thank you, that you make my best friend shine, his smile is brighter, happier, the most honest since you are with him not just as his best friend, but as the love of his life. I want to thank you that you make our lives as brilliant as it is, and our friend as happy as we never seen him!” As he ends his toast you can’t keep a tear from falling down on your cheek.
The dinner went through without more toast. As the night came you were dancing with Joe almost all night. When someone came with a glass of champagne and give it to you, you pretented to drink from it, and you already saw Ben thinking about how to get to you in the corner of your eye. It was blessing you only had your close friends and family at the wedding, just as small as you wanted.
We you get a new glass and you stand next to Joe a really funky song comes up and Ben runs to you. “Put your drink down!” He yells over the music and you start at him. “Put down!” he grabs your hand and as you put it down he pull you into the dancefloor.
He spins you everywhere and as you bump into him, and rest your hand on his shoulder you wishper in his ear. “If you turn me one more time your Godchild will always hear about the night where mommy vomited on you!” You giggle and you feel how much he grabs you closer.
“Sorry, just thought this is helpful too, to make you drinkless...” you already hear on his voice he is really getting drunk.
“Yeah, we should switch from you drinking mines!” You get really afraid he will get way faster sick than he promised.
“No, no, no! I’m fine!” He gets loud, and you see Joe coming troward you.
“Hey Buddy, I think you need a little bit of air!” He starts to walk him away, but you panic.
“I think I need too, I get him out!” You say fast.
“Are you sure?” Asks Joe with something in his eyes you only saw when he was jealous of Ben, but shit you can’t let drunk Benjamin with Joe be alone, you can’t let him tell your secret now.
“Yeah, I feel a little dizzy...” you start to walk to the door with Ben.
“Coat!” He shouts as you want to walk out with him only in your dress.
“You are right.” You admit and get your coat, as you walk out you see Joe’s eyebrows raising high. “Man you make me look bad!” You moan as the glass door closes behind you.
“Sorry, I didn’t want to...” he bends over the railing.
“Don’t fall out please, I don’t want to lose you now...” you giggle but you hear sobbing from a bench at the prow. “Stay here, and don’t fall!” You say discipline as a parent would.
“Yes, Mommy” he chuckles, and the sobbing gets more louder.
“Hi!” You sit down as you see Annabelle in the bench crying. “What is wrong, darling?” You smooth out some hair of her face, but she just shakes it. “Don’t tell me nothing, I know you have something on your heart, tell me love!” Your voice is so soft, but you almost cry with her, you don’t want to see anyone cry.
“You... I mean not you, but that Ben is...” you star at her, and she stops looking in your eyes. “I think he is in love with you...” you start to laugh and she looks offended. “I wouldn’t see it, if I wouldn’t be his date, but look he keeps an eye on you all night, not you and Joe, just you...” she sniffs.
“I’m aware of that!” You smile at her.
“What?” Her jaw drops open, and her words are to loud that you hear Ben.
“Everything is alright?” Even his words are weak you hear the fear in his voice.
“Yes, Benjamin, concentrate on sobbering up!” You really feel like a mom. “He is doing his duty... I guess...”
“His... duty?” You can see how she can’t put it together.
“Okay, can you keep me a secret, if it even stays a secret after the only man who knows is almost blacked out...” she nods, and you continue. “He is drinking my stuff too, it is his duty, to keep me away from the alcohol, as I shouldn’t drink it...”
“Why are you needing him to keep you away?” She asks confused, so you just say it.
“Because I’m pregnant.” You say, and just as you said it out loud you hear the door open.
“Everything is alright ladies?” Ask Joe as he gets to you, Annabelle is already smiling, but about to wipe off some tears from her cheek.
“Yes...” she answers. “How limited it is?” She looks at you with a conspirational look in her eyes.
“Oh yet just two people have it...” you admit, and you see how happy she is you made her the one, and you feel relieved she get Joe does not know. As she walks away, she winks at you behind Joe’s back as a promise.
“Come on love, you should eat something!” She hugs Ben, and you smile at him.
“We should sobber up a little bit our child!” You poke Joe on his side.
“Yes we should!” He moans with a little smile, but still with a jealous look. “I love when you say our child!” He kisses your forhead as you walk in the ballroom.
At 4 am everyone felt like it is time to go to to sleep. You landed your mom the keys of Joe’s apartment, to make sure everyone who want to stay in New York can stay there, even lot of the friends decided to stay in a hotel, or go home. You are about to go to a motel next to the airport you are flying off from in the morning, just 6 hours later. You sit in the back of the limousine after you said goodbye to everyone, when Joe asks. “What was wrong with Ben’s girl?” Before you could answer he continues. “She saw too that you two had an unspoken bond today?” As your face freeze he continues. “No, it wasn’t that obvious for anyone else, but I saw it, as my eyes were always on you...”
“Daddy, are you jealous?” You choose the words wisely as you smirk.
“I don’t want to play on our first night as a married couple, I thought you liked me without it too...” you see how upset he is.
“Me neither...” you admit with a nasty smile.
“What...” he mombles.
“But I still can call you daddy...” you giggle.
“What...” he can’t say anything else. You don’t say anything just put his hand on your belly. “What?”
“Ben was drinking instade of me...” you admit.
“What?” He repeats.
“I wanted to tell you first, but he find out. I mean it wasn’t me who put it in his mouth...” you giggle and as you see his face you continue. “Oh God, Joe was right, your boobs are looking bigger...” you try to act like Ben.
“So, ohh... Oh my God, you are pregnant!” He hugs you, so tight you can’t really breath, but it is not really matters now.
“Yes, Silly we are about to start a family!” You wishper in his ear. “I wanted to tell you tomorrow morning, a little more organised, but Ben turned upside down everything...” you moan into his skin.
“I don’t care how you tell me, it is perfect anyways!” He admits. “But you had your period three weeks ago...” he looks
confused. “You couldn’t even know now...”
“I thought I had my period Yes, but in reality it was implantation bleeding. I thought it was easy on my because of the stress, but it wasn’t, it was easy on me because of our child...” you giggle into his skin, still huging him.
“You kidding...” he chuckles.
“No... I got dizzy at the train just like last time, paniced and I just got some tests in the drug store, waited a whole night, to take them.” You wishper.
“Wait... it was on monday?” He asks with shook on his face. “That was the reason you were so quiet... shit I accused you with regreting our wedding!” You see how bad he feels about it.
“Silly, relax! I wasn’t even there in mind, to be fair!” You laugh.
“How did you kept it so long?” He asks.
“Oh Babe, you can’t imagine how hard it was!” You admit. “But last time at this time around we were about to tell our family, I did not wanted you to only think about this on our wedding, it was enough I wanted to tell so badly!” You kiss his cheek.
“We should’ve suffered together!” He says, a little huffish.
“Babe... we will for the next one and a half months for sure!” You look at him, and you see how his face softens, and than you see the panic on his face. “I find a clinic that will be doing our catch ups until we came home...” you smooth some hair out of his face.
“Were you...?” He asks hesitating.
“Just for blood test, I wanted to have you at the first ultrasound!” You admit.
“You know you can’t have anything stressful on our honeymoon! Or lift even a pen!” Even he looks at you with a very serious face you can’t keep the laughter back. “No! I’m serious, I don’t want to lose an another child!” He looks sad.
“Hey, hey, hey I know! I don’t want to lose our child too!” You momble into his lips as you kiss him, while your heart aches as you remember your child you will never meet.
To be continued...
Good Old-Fashioned Lover Girls
Pairing: OC x Lucy Boynton (COLLEGE AU)
Warnings: FLUFF, lgbtq+
Word count: 1k-ish
Summary: First day of college was rough but a spark of hope for it to be better comes when Charlie meets this beautiful, blonde, British, funny girl and immediately feels a real connection with her.
A/N: Hey! I really think this is one of the cutest thing I’ve ever written. I am including a moodboard to give everyone an idea of how Charlie is and where the story is situated. Feedback is really well received :) hope you like it!
Tumblr media
First day of college wasn’t going as good as Charlie thought it would be, she woke up at 4 am and couldn’t went back to sleep, she had to walk a lot since the classes where really far from each other and now she had 3 free hours until the next class because schedules are shit, but at least the weather was nice so she decided to take the little food she had as lunch outside. She sat beneath a big tree, throwing her stuff to the ground not caring much about it. She took a brief moment to admire the trees, the birds and the warm weather, and for a second everything was alright again.
Suddenly, inspiration was there. “Finally” Charlie thought. She took her sketchbook out and started drawing the beautiful setting she had in front of her, she got so into it she forgot about reality for a while.
“Hey” a soft voice snapped her back into reality, it was a blonde, cute, short haired girl “Um, is it okay if I join you?”
“Oh, yes of course” Charlie replied taking her stuff to make some space for the girl to sit
“I don’t think you know me but I’m Lucy, I think I saw you in Design class” she clarified
“Oh” Charlie murmured, astonished by the girl’s beauty
“Are you alright?” She asked with that cute accent of hers, she seemed genuinely worried
“Rough day, that’s all” Charlie explained “I’m Charlotte by the way, but everyone calls me Charlie. But yeah, I do remember you from class” she looked at her with a little smile on her face. Obviously she remembered her, it’s not easy to forget such a beautiful face, specially with those perfect eyes she has
“Charlie, I like the sound of it” Lucy smiled “Ugh. It’s the first day and I already hate it” Lucy complained, drastically changing the topic
“Me too but you are one of the good things about it” Charlie whispered, feeling the blood going up to her cheeks guessing they were already turning red
“Hmm am I? That is the kindest thing someone have said to me in a while, specially since you just met me” Lucy hinted. She was smiling, feeling genuinely happy someone said something as cute as that to her
“Kindest?” Charlie puzzled
“Yes, kindest.” She said before taking out her food and taking a big first bite to her ham sandwich “want some?”
“Oh, no. I don’t eat meat actually, but thanks” Charlie answered “You’re not from here are you?”
“No. Me British” Lucy said in a funny way, making Charlie laugh a little, it was actually the first time in the whole day she genuinely laughed “So you’re Vegetarian?”
“Of course, you are too beautiful to be from here.” Charlie complimented Lucy again, feeling the blood in her cheeks again “Yes. Me Vegetarian” Charlie said mimicking Lucy trying to distract the attention from her red cheeks
“So today is the let’s compliment and make fun of Lucy day” She joked “I like it” She laughed. Lucy had a really soft laugh, it was one of those laughs you could hear the whole day and would never get tired of, and of course Charlie noticed that, she loved it.
Charlie smiled without saying anything. She had known for a while that girls really had a strong effect on her, straight was not a word she would use to describe herself, she was sure but it was the first time she felt something like this. It was the first time she genuinely liked a girl. The doubt of whether if Lucy liked girls too or not started to make Charlie think a lot.
“What are you thinking about, stranger?” She asked, staring directly into Charlie’s eyes.
Suddenly, Charlie felt the urge to ask her about her sexuality and she really was about to, but it could come out as rude and even if it didn’t, Charlie was too shy to do it, so she didn’t.
“Nothing” she mumbled, breaking the eye contact.
“Well, I hope it’s not about boys. It would be disappointing” She declared out of nothing catching Charlie by surprise.
“It isn’t” Charlie chuckled, thinking about how she said disappointing. She couldn’t help but wonder again, was that a hint? or what does that meant?
“Anyways, what were you drawing before I interrupted?” Lucy asked
“Everything. It’s just a sketch but if you want to see it I-”
“Yes! Show me” Lucy was weirdly excited
“Here” Charlie handed her sketchbook to Lucy in a very self conscious way. She was really good at drawing but she still felt judged when someone saw her drawings.
“Oh god, it is beautiful” She gasped “You really have a talent Charlie”
“Thanks, I really don’t but thanks” Charlie answered, blushing once again
“You are cute” Lucy admitted just before putting her head over Charlie’s shoulder “Do you want to listen to some music?”
“Umm ok” Charlie hesitated but that was enough for Lucy to take out her phone putting one earphone, giving the other one to Charlie. Lucy started looking through her phone until she found something “Oh I like this one” she exclaimed. Some soft and relaxing music started playing, suddenly Charlie was calmed for the first time in the whole day, and just like that they both fell asleep.
They had been sleeping like that for at least half an hour when Lucy’s phone started ringing waking them up.
“Fuck” she whispered, they separated and Lucy checked her phone. It was an alarm, she had to go. “I have to go, I have class. Sorry” She apologized
“Oh… ok” Charlie sighed still feeling a bit sleepy
“I can give you my mobile phone number if you’d like, do you have a-”
“Yes” Charlie interrupted giving her the pencil she was drawing with. Lucy took it and wrote her phone number in Charlie’s sketchbook
“There you go, call me, please” Lucy begged before giving Charlie a little kiss in the cheek as a goodbye gesture. Lucy stood up and before going she said “I don’t know if you got it but… I like you… a lot” She smiled and quickly left without giving Charlie a chance to say something.
Charlie stayed in that position for at least 5 minutes. Lucy liked her and a lot. Of course she was going to call her, Lucy was amazing. But she was scared of having come out to the world as something she hadn’t even figure out what was yet, she took a deep breath “Fuck them” she whispered to herself taking her sketchbook to look at Lucy’s number.
“Call me, stranger” She wrote which made Charlie giggle “I am definitely going to call” she thought with a big smile on her face. The day was way better now, in fact it was now a good day.
imagine of the borhap boys + lucy in a quarantine zoom call?
Rami and Lucy were lucky enough to get quarantined with each other, so they weren’t overly lonely. The downside was they were in a city, so they were indoors near enough the entire day, every day. So when she suggested a Zoom group with the cast, Rami didn’t see any harm in it.
God, was he a fool.
The moment it was suggested in the Band Group Chat, it spiralled out of control. Although it would technically be 4am in the morning in the UK, Ben was the first to answer. He started with normal texts but then they started turning weird, with randoms gifs and emojjis popping up halfway through a conversation. This summoned the redhead, and Joe only worsened the madness Ben was suffering from and only keyboard smashes happened for a few minutes. But then when the sleep exhausted Brit dropped off, the group chat fell silent until a few hours later.
Gwil only put ‘??????????’ and Lucy explained what was going on, Gwil agreed it was a good idea and by the time Ben woke up again, Zoom group was set up, so after he groggily downloaded the app on his phone, they were underway.
Lucy and Rami joined first, both on different devices in different rooms because they wanted the experience of zoom, but Gwil joined in soon and they had brief lovely catchup before both boys of chaos joined at once.
Ben was laying on his sofa, hood pulled up around his face and it looked like he could drop off to sleep at any moment. Obviously, he was on his phone, whilst it looked like the others were on laptops, but he didn’t care, it just meant they had to see an extreme closeup on their screens. And it had only been a few minutes of mindless chatter before he was swearing. Frankie had decided she wanted to join in, jumping on the sofa and shoving her way between Ben and his phone, making the device fall from his hands. “Ah fucking hell,” they could all hear him cursing as they now looked up at the ceiling, seeing Ben half wrestling his dog as she tried to climb over him, and eventually he was able to grab his phone. Now, the extreme closeup was of Frankie, Ben half obscured in the background. The group went crazy. They all started complimenting her, saying what a good girl she was and how many treats they’d giver her, yes they will, yes they will! She began wagging her tail, wacking Ben in the face and making him splutter before he finally gave up and sat upright, Frankie settling on his lap.
Gwil thought it’d be a good idea to show them his garden, he had been working quite hard on it actually, so off he went, laptop held in his arms as he started the tour. It was going well for a while, and the gang learnt quite a lot about planting times of years and what plants look best where, but soon the internet was getting a bit thin, and they were only catching parts of his sentences, and blurry pixelated images of bright colours and half of Gwils face. They tried to tell him it wasn’t working, go back inside, but obviously, Gwil could hardly hear them with the crackling audio, so he carried on for a bit longer before realising what was going and retreated inside. Lucy asked for more photos of the garden, and that cheered him back up again.
Updating everyone on what was going on in their lives, Lucy and Rami were talking over each other before stopping, starting again and then talking over each other again. Ben groaned, just blanking them both as they tried their hardest to get themselves in order, but it wasn’t working. It wasn’t until Joe shouted at them both to shut up and suggest that Rami tell one story, Lucy tells another that it dawned on them both that that was actually a really good idea. But whenever the other got really excited and spoke over their partner, the gang would glare at them until they shut up. It took a while, but they finally heard the funny anecdote Rami had to say.
After listening to the stories, having a laggy tour of Gwil’s garden and promising Frankie treats, Joe had to excuse himself to get some food. He didn’t want to leave the screen empty but also didn’t want to leave the call, so he reached over and fiddled of screen for a moment before one of the Broccoli Men from his video appeared, facing the camera. The others laughed, said it was like Joe hadn’t even left, and Joe was happy enough that the gang would be happy enough talking between each other as he grabbed food. But as he returned a few minutes later, pot noddle and coffee in hand, he heard shouts coming from his laptop. “The fucker is staring into my soul, I swear!” He heard Ben yell out, Gwil agreeing. “He knows all my secrets!” Lucy complained before Joe managed to get back on screen. They all screamed louder, begging him to get rid of Broccoli Man and as Joe shoved it off-screen, they all cheered.
Although they were thousands of miles away and in vastly different time zones, it was like they were in the same room together.
Zoom calls became a twice-weekly occurrence, and they had a tally on how many times Ben fell asleep on screen. It was already in double figures.
I had a lot of fun with this piece!! Hope you guys like it. Also, yes, in my mind Ben still has Frankie so shhhhhh don’t ruin this for me
imagine of the borhap boys + lucy reuniting after the oscars/for the after party? can’t believe it’s been more than a year
Typed on phone so sorry that it isn’t the best!!
Was it possible to be higher than cloud nine? Because if it was, that’s where Rami was. They’d done it, actually done it, winning four Oscars for an incredible movie. It may not be the best, it was like marmite for some people - either you loved it or hate it, but winning the awards showed the academy acknowledged this type of movie.
As he and Lucy bounced into the designated after party, they heard cheers from the side and saw The Gang standing there, arms out wide as the shouted and cheered.
It was weird, not having them there during the actual awards ceremony, but it was great to see them now. They rushed into open arms and there were a few moments of excited jumps and tearful congratulations before they stepped back to really join the party.
When you get drinks in him, Joe is an unstoppable dance machine. He dances a lot sober, but drunk him is incredible. He seems to know the beat before the song has a actually started, sways around the room and pulls you in to his trap with each shake of his hips. Everyone wanted to be able to dance as care free as him. Not many got to.
Ben became a giggly mess. You could say a lame knock-knock joke and he’d be clutching his side and whaling with laughter. There’s been a few time’s when they’d seen him standing alone and giggling at his drink. But it can change quickly into him being clingy. If you were his friend and anywhere near him when he got to this stage, you’d suddenly have a muscly blond holding onto you and confessing his friendship love to you over and over until you managed to pawn him off to someone else.
Lucy got joy in talking to as many people as possible. Half the time, she doesn’t even know who they are, but as long as they had interesting stories to tell, she’d stick around. Some people would call it networking, but the way that she did it, it was more chaotic tornado pulling in conversations. But people loved her, how couldn’t they? She was all smiled and bubbly laughs.
Sometimes it was up to Gwilym to be the father of the group. He’d often have Ben under one arm, watching Joe from a distance and wondering after Lucy’s trail. He wished he could get toddlers reins for them all. But he was like this drunk anyway, wanting to keep the group together and safe, fretting over them all until they got themselves tucked up in bed. He didn’t even want to know how many glasses of water he poured down Bens throat, or how many “watch this!” Joe had shouted at him. Lucy was the easiest because Rami was also watching her.
Since he’d begun attending events like this, Rami had lived for them. He got overly drunk and really made sure to celebrate each time. And the Oscars wasn’t any different. Any time he saw anyone he knew, he cheered loudly, often resulting in everyone around him shouting as well. And the amount of drinks he’d had brought for him that night resulted in him not remembering much past half an hour into the party. But no one could really tell he was that drunk. His usual tell of being louder and yelling wasn’t obvious tonight as everything was loud, and his slight stumble was hidden by the big crowds.
It had been a good night and early morning but eventually they all had to stumble out. At some point, Ben and Joe has snuck out to get food and drinks, had managed to sneak back in too, so they had armfuls of food to tempt the others into the cars and made their way back to the hotel. Somehow, it ended up with them all piled into the same bed, suits and dresses still on and laying all over each other.
CHAPTER 6 Description - Ben just so happens to fall head over heels for a Mysterious Man who loves baseball and cracking terrible jokes. Mysterious Man also turns out to be the father of one of Ben’s students. Warnings - Full blown relationship Hardzello, with plenty of angst, fluff and future smut. Word Count - 1,712
The paramedics took another ten minutes to arrive, but Ben hadn’t moved much. Allen had helped him move to sit upright against the filing cabinet, and although he was breathing unaided, his chest was burning from a shortage of oxygen. Although he tired, he just couldn’t get enough air in.
He was lifted onto the ambulance trolley, kept in a sitting position but strapped down across his lower abdomen and legs to hold him upright. An oxygen mask was placed over his face, and Ben couldn’t get enough of the cold air coming in. His nose had clotted up and his mouth wiped to ensure he wasn’t breathing in any dry blood. They began to wheel him out of the class.
Headmaster May stood there waiting, tears in his eyes as he smiled softly at Ben. Someone in his family was hurt, and he couldn’t do anything to stop the pain. Annita stood at his side, holding her husbands arm in comfort. Ben raised a heavy arm to let him know he was alright. They continued down the hallway, and Ben heard a familiar voice call out his name.
Craning his neck, he saw Beth clinging to Joes neck, sniffling as she watched through tearful eyes as Ben wheeled past her. Ben felt his own eyes well up, and it wasn’t helped by the obvious tear tracks staining Joe’s cheeks.
As they went through the main door, Ben caught a glimpse of Rami rushing from the car park, probably coming to comfort his family, but what caused more surprise was Gwilym running from the same parked car.
“Ben!” The Welshman rushed to the trolley, grabbing one of the barriers as the paramedics continued to walk. Another set of eyes scanned his injuries, and Ben wasn’t surprised by the chocked gasp. Everyone had the same reaction. Allen couldn’t even stop from wincing at each wheeze.
Ben grabbed Gwil’s hand, still not willing to talk, and nodded slightly at the paramedics question if he was to travel with them. Gwil and a paramedic climbed into the back, the other paramedic moving to the front with the driver. They didn’t expect his condition to worsen suddenly, so there was no need to crowd the back.
Ben eyed the equipment shuffling to the side as much as the restraints would allow him. He wasn’t overly fond of needles or medicine, would much rather sleep off a headache or cold rather than take a pill. Ben’s heart rate increased as the male paramedic began rifling through one of the draws, not calming when Gwil held his shoulder. He sighed in relief once a heart rate armband was pulled out. The medic made swift work of getting his blood pressure, muttering to himself as he made notes when he tested Ben’s pupils.
It wasn’t long until they arrived at the hospital, and Ben was wheeled into the E.R. Gratefully, Gwilym was allowed with him as they wheeled him into a spare section, pulling the curtain around to offer privacy.
“When I got a phone call,” Gwil fell into the uncomfortable plastic chair next to his bed, “from school saying you got attacked, I was about ready to hijack a car”. Ben chuckled (which turned into a wince) at the mental image of Gwil breaking the law. “I started running there instead”. The house was close enough to Animal Ark that Gwil saw no need of an extra expense of a car to get to work, rather he just walked. “I just got to the end of the road when a car stopped next to me, and low-and-behold, Green Eyes from the other day was leaning out of his window and telling me to get in”.
Ben raised his eyebrows as he continued to stare at Gwilym. He hadn’t been expecting that.
“I don’t know how he knew where I wanted to go, but I didn’t even say anything as we sped towards the school,” Gwil fiddled with the sleeve of his jumper. The thread was beginning to become loose from his distracted habit, and the blue material took all the taller mans attention. Ben hummed next to him, eyes also focusing on the sleeve and the two sat there for a moment, comfortable with one another.
Gwil was used to Ben needed company, and understood that sometimes it worked better when they were both silent. Just having a familiar presence near him would sometimes be enough to calm the blonds nerves. Ben would take the weight of the world on his shoulders and would never burden anyone else with his own, pressing problems. If he was in a bad mood, it has been known for the blond to purposefully look for the worst to give himself a reasoning. It was bad during university, and he missed lectures and seminars due to it, and although it’s gotten better over the years, he still needs that calming mind in stressful or hurtful situations. So here they sat, two best friends on foreign ground, one in need of medical aid and the other there for support, doing what they do best: being there for one another.
--------------------
A nurse had come around and done a brief medical overlook, followed by a doctor and another doctor. They all were shocked at the scales of the injuries but were relieved at the lack of deep damage. “You’ll be fine within three weeks-” doctor Two had said, “won’t be any long term side effects”.
Ben was discharged seven hours after first wheeling through the doors after some observations and blood tests. The oxygen levels in his blood weren’t cause for alarm and the medical staff were happy for him to leave with some prescribed medication and a check up appointment scheduled for the following week.
It was only when Ben and Gwil blinked into the dark outside that they realised that they had no way of getting back to theirs. “Shit,” Ben croaked out, having begun trusting his vocal chords and throat when they had been there for hour two, and could near enough speak normally if he ignored the shooting pain of bruised muscles. Nothing louder than a stage whisper at the moment but he’d get there.
“‘Shit’ indeed,” Gwil mumbled before pulling out his phone and looking up the local taxi service. Uber and Lyft weren’t in use around these small towns, but there were plenty of other taxi services around that would be willing to come pick them up at nearing three in the morning.
Gwil wandered off a few meters as he talked to the driver and gave the address, but Ben was just focusing on how cold it was. Wearing a dress shirt was a good idea for the disaster of a parents evening but not so much for standing outside an isolated hospital in the middle of fucking nowhere. If it wasn’t for Ben’s anxiety surrounding hospitals, he’d suggest that they go and sit in the waiting room, but most of the red plastic seats of the small room were occupied and Ben didn’t feel like sitting in a room with people in pain or on their deathbeds. So, shivering outside was the option.
His taller friend returned, and gave the estimated time of five minutes to him. They both knew that five minutes was being optimistic, and they were correct, because seventeen minutes later, a little silver Honda civic pulled up in front of them and they climbed in. The driver eyed the hand-print bruise on Ben’s neck but said nothing as he began driving back to their house.
It wasn’t long before they scraped together the right amount of change (and a little tip for the late night) and climbed out the car, shivering their way up the front porch and into the familiar presence of their home. Frankie went ballistic, sprinting from Ben’s room and colliding into her owner at full speed. Ben stumbled backwards as he rushed to grab his dog launching herself up his body, and he collided with Gwil, who also then stumbled back out the house. Now holding a wiggling dog in his arms (who was both whining at the absence of Ben and the smell of him whilst also wagging her tail so much that it was hurting Ben trying to hold her), Ben turned and apologised to Gwil, who just shrugged and made his way back inside and into the small kitchen. He placed the bag of medication on the counter top, far away back that Frankie wouldn’t be able to get to them, even if she climbed up again, before making the two of them drinks. Lemon and a generous amount of honey were loaded into Ben’s cracked Jurassic Park mug, and once the steaming water was added, the two shuffled the short distance to the sofa. Found in a charity shop, like most of the rest of the furniture, the old sofa had stains and dog fur embedded deep into its material. Frankie stayed close to Ben’s side, tucked between him and the arm rest and her watchful eyes viewed Ben’s hand movements every time he took a tentative sip.
They didn’t talk about much, Gwil mentioning how Lucy was trying to convince her boyfriend to adopt the three legged, half an ear kitten which had been brought in the week prior, but mainly they watched some of re-runs of a show that neither of them cared about. The only light other than the TV screen on was of the lamp in the corner of the room, placed carefully between the TV stand and bookcase. The warm light reminded Ben of how tired he was, and with heavy eyes, an hour after coming home, Ben uncrossed his legs, wished Gwil a goodnight, placed his mug on the counter and shut himself in his room, Frankie weaving between his legs the entire time.
The blond shrugged off his shirt and dropped his slacks, toeing off his shoes and socks before climbing into bed. He shifted around under the duvet, body aching from the events, but eventually he curled up in the corner in a nest of pillows and blankets and settled down for sleep. It was only then, when he was alone, that he let the tears flow.
I’m so sorry you’ll had to wait so long but thank you for sticking around! Although I am back, I’m afraid it won’t be scheduled posting as I’m unsure when I’ll be having the free time! BUT it would encourage me greatly if you were to leave encouraging messages/reblogs/tags to remind me to keep going
Always knew you / chapter fourteen
Joe Mazzello x reader
Warning: unprotected, rough sex, fluff, little bit of role play.
Comment: Y/N is corrently 22, while Joe is 36.
Summary: you knew Joe all of your life, and as best friends you two always find the way back to each other.
Tumblr media
It is really, really early in the morning, as you just get to Joe’s apartment. You are about to decorate the cake you baked in the night before you sat in your car to drive to him. You normally just fly here, but you don’t wanted to take the cake on a plane, you trusted yourself more.
It was 7 in the morning and you already put everything together to suprise him. You quietly play you are my best friend and walk in his room with his birthday cake. He nictitates at you as he wakes up. “Happy birthday, Silly!” You say with the brightes smile on your face.
“Ooh, thank you...” he moans into his hand as he yawns.
“You should wish before you blow the candles.” You wishper as you sit down on the edge of the bed.
“You are here on my birthday, what else should I ask for?” He groans. “Maybe that you marry me, but that will happen soon too!”
“Still could ask for a child... I mean if you want one...” you hesitate, as it just slips out of your mouth.
“I want six... from you, and you know that!” He says and blows the candles.
“Okay, just because it is your birthday I won’t argue you about that number!” You laugh before kissing him.
“And it came true!” He wishpers.
“You really wished that?” You ask in a good shook.
“Yeah!” He nods.
“Still can’t figure out why you want six children...” you shake your head. “That is a lot, a lot to come out of my vagina make it enormous...” you giggle.
“I haven’t been thinking about that...” you see how his brain starts to use the information. “Maybe we don’t need that much children, you wouldn’t have any time of yours left for me...” he nods pulling his shoulder.
“That’s it, you just let it all go?” Your jaw drops.
“Yeah, I was thinking that making six children is a LOT fun, but now as you said this, I was thinking that it is a lot of time of parenting, and less time for mom and dad to love eachother!” He gets the cake out of your hand to put it down on the sidetable and than grab you in his arms. “And that is the best thing in my life so I want to have time for that all of my life!” He wishpers in your neck, while you are giggling from his breath.
“So just two kids?” You ask, getting your head back to look in his eyes.
“Three?” He asks with precatory face.
“Maybe!” You laugh.
He pulls you into his arms again. “I love you! You made my birthday already perfect!” He wishpers kissing the top of your head.
“You haven’t even seen your present!” You chuckle.
“I’m huging her right now!” He says with so much confident.
“No you don’t! And it, it is something not someone!” You giggle.
“No, it is you, so it is someone, the best one in my life to be fair!” He kisses your neck.
You get out of the room, to get his present. “Open it!” You say as you sit back in the bed.
“What is this?” He looks up at you from the bookings he holds now in his hands.
“Our honeymoon!” You smile at him. “I made sure you have no work for a month and a half, get someone on my place for the trainings, I booked the flights and there are some booked places but we still have some periods we need to decide where we want to be!” You say.
“Bali, for one and a half month with you, only you?” He wishpers with shook on his face.
“It will be in the rainy season, so we will be a lot in our room!” You moan.
“I like that!” He nods, before he kisses you. “You really want it to be a memorable birthday!”
“That is my plan, even I know you need to work for a while!” You laugh. “Just like old Jurassic Park times...”
“You were not even born then!” He cuts in.
“But as you see I knew everything about you!” You kiss him. “Get ready I drive you to work! You want your cake for breakfast, or want me to make you proper breakfast?” You ask even you know the answer.
“Cake!” He gets out of the bed with his left hand in the air as he answers. Your mouth just act without you knowing, you smile as you see his ring on his finger, you never thought the small thing in life like this can make your heart the happiest. “But I can drive my own car!” Says Joe while his head is stucked in his sweater.
“But we are going with my car!” You answer as you help him get his clothes on properly.
“You got here with your car? You drive in the night just for me?” His hazel eyes are wide open and gazing on you.
“Ofcourse I did, I needed to get the cake here safly after the massive hours I spendt on it!” You giggle and his jaw is droped open again.
“You made my cake?” He asks.
“Yes, Silly! Ofcourse I did!” You giggle more as you walk out with the cake in your hands to cut a piece for him to eat.
“You don’t eat?” He asks.
“My stomach is not ready for breakfast on this early hour of the day!” You nod.
After Joe ate one more slice of the cake and you got the half of it down from his mouth you walk to your car. “You really drive for me here!” He wishpers under his nose more likely for himself than for you.
“Your car is ready, Sir!” You open the door for him, and you see him rolling his eyes as he sits in. “You want me to walk you to set, or just let you out of the car?” You ask while driving the 15 minute trip.
“Ofcourse walk me to set!” He answers so quickly like a child, you smile even you knew, to be fair loved his childish side all of your life, just as much as you loved his serious side even that was something not lot of people saw, but you are one of the few who he lets in. “I want to show off my beautiful fiancé!” He says as you get out of the car.
“you speak gorgeous man?” You look at him, as you start to walk hand in hand.
“Noone ever looked at me like you!” He whispers with so much unspoken in his eyes.
“Neither did I have someone looking at me like you do!” You nod. “Like I’m the only thing you see...”
“Because you are the most important thing I can land my eyes on!” He nods. “I feel like I’m over everyone when you look at me, like I’m...”
“The best thing in my life!” You end his sentence.
“Am I?” He asks with bright eyes.
“Yes, since I was born!” You giggle.
“Yeah, I remember you were crying in moms hand, you were so tiny and cute, I almost refused to hold you being afraid I would drop you, but in the minute mom give you to me you stoped screaming, you just felt asleep in my arms. Pretty great first meeting I guess!” He chuckles, and his eyes are shining, like he just remembers something so great and you start to tear up on his words combined with his face. “Hey, hey, hey! What’s wrong?”
“Nothing! Just I love you so much!” You nod, and he swipes a fallen tear from your cheek.
“That is why you cry?” He asks.
“Happy tears, get used to them, you will see them a lot!” You giggle, while he is cupping your face in his hand.
Just as you turn to walk to the crew they started to sing happy birthday just as you asked them to do. You see Joe’s face in a shook, while his brown eyes are about to look at everyone who suprised him. Two of his costars come up with a big cake, with just 36 candle on it.
Joe is about to introduce you to everyone even he does nearly remember any names. After they cut up the cake you eat with him one tiny slice, and than kiss him on the cheek. “I let you work, I come for you at 6!” You look at the director and he nods.
“You had your hand in it too, am I right?” He asks before kissing you hard. You hear the crew’s aplause in the back.
“Ofcourse I had my hand in it!” You giggle as you go. “I will be here for you when you are done with shooting!” You say before you get away from the set.
You sit in your car and head to the airport for Ben, and Gwilym. As you are waiting for them your heart is racing so fast, you want everything to be perfect for today. You haven’t seen Gwilym since the proposal’s night so you hug him first, than Ben. “Do you think he knows what is our plan?” Gwilym asks.
“I don’t think so, I mean I hinted I have no time this weekend he was even suprised I was there in the morning.” You chuckle.
“He ate his cake I was right?” Chuckles Ben.
“Yeah, he is over two kind if cake for today!” You laugh as you walk to your car. You start the car and go to pick Lucy and Rami up. You all get to target to get everything you needed to decorate his apartment.
As you get in his apartment everyone of you are busy decorating. The boys start to sing quietly, but quickly they are as loud you would be afaird of the neightbors if you would be in your place, but you are greatful here they can be as noisy as they always are.
You look at your watch you never get down only if you afraid of it is getting wet. “We should go for the cake, Luc honey are you coming with me?” You look at her and she is gets to you jumping.
“Yes ofcourse, darling!” she says almost like you would expect Freddie to do.
“You have some secret affair here?” Asks Rami.
“Maybe!” You wink as you slap Lucy’s butt who is giggling as an angel from this.
“But don’t be afraid we won’t leave you guys!” She winks too, just before you close the door behind her, to leave the rest of the decorating on them.
You get back and all the boys are speaking in high voice from the helium. You are proud of them as the apartment looks lit, and you just put the cake down on the counter ready to suprise Joe. Just as you look at your watch the first guests arrive. You have still half an hour to go for him, so you greet Brian and Roger, as you hug them you see Lucy’s face. You walk to her as there is no new arrival.
“You blushed when you huged Roger!” She giggles.
“Is it suprise to you?” You ask laughing.
“Yeah!” She looks at you with shook.
“Shouldn’t, I was strongly into 80’s Roger since pruberty hit me!” You giggle, but than you see Lucy’s face turning into some kind of akward shook. “I have today’s Roger behind me. Am I right?” You say with a tense body.
“80’s, not the 70’s?” You hear the smoky voice behind you and Luc nods trying not to laugh.
“I’m sorry, I’m more into daddies, than hot lesbians!” You turn laughing, trying to be less ambrassed.
“Daddies? Hot lesbians? And you kiss your mother with that mouth?” He laughs. “I always thought you were into Deaky as you choose Joe!” He laughs.
“Ooh Deaky was hot too, everyone was hot in the 80’s, but blue eyed blondie at the drums, with that smoky voice that could get higher than I can hear.” You laugh out loud.
“Just your future husband shouldn’t know about it, am I right?” He asks with a conspirator look on his face.
“Oooh he knows!” You laugh even more harder. “Takes advantage on me if I’m mad at him.” You laugh.
“How?” You see Roger and Lucy looking at you with the same curious face.
“Singing I’m in love with my car with smoky voice, ooh or dog with a bone! He knows I’m lost than!” You point out.
“Dog with a bone?!” You see Roger being suprised.
“Saddest thing I needed to find it on youtube, it is a fine piece!” You giggle.
“So the guys were not saying big when they said you are a big fan!” He laughs.
“Yes, I’m!” You nod blushing.
“Never get nervours about that!” He kisses you cheek before going back to the boys.
“Holy smoky!” You wishper with red face.
“You should get out of his charm before you pick your man up!” Chuckles Luc.
“Yeah, Honey you are probably right!” You moan as you look at your watch. “I should go to be there in time!” You nod, as you get to the door.
“Just once don’t listen to Queen in the car!” She teases you as you walk out.
“Yeah I shouldn’t...” you wishper still with smoky eyes staring into nothing.
You kept your girl’s words and turn on the radio instead of one of your usual Queen albums, and you felt you got your head clear again after your fan girl moment when you get to the set.
You just walk in to the last shoots, as the director gave you an access card in the morning. He is handsome as always, he is crying in the scene, just as usual you think. As he kisses you, you teas him. “I’m known for always crying!”
“Yeah, this rule won’t help!” He laughs.
You grab his hand and you walk to the car hand in hand. You sit in the car and he looks at you with raised eyebrows as the radio turns on instead of Queen.
“Needed some changes!” You laugh akwardly.
“What happend?” He asks, you should know he knew you better then anyone.
“Nothing, just felt your birthday night needs a little spice up in music!” You laugh, and he nods pulling his shoulder.
As you get to the apartment you are feeling lucky you have Lucy, who just texted you they turned down the lights. You totally forget how this could‘ve ruining everything as he sees the lights from outside. “Let’s get changed, I want to see where you are taking me!” Says Joe, as you told him you take him out for a date after you both change, even under your coat you had on the red dress you wore on the dinner with him and Ben.
You open the door, and let him in. “Sir!” You say holding your hand out.
“Suprise!” Screams everyone as Joe turns the lights on. You see him freeze again.
“Happy birthday, Babe!” You hug him.
He breaks out of his frozen state and with high speed he kisses you. “You, you did really everything to make this day perfect!” He says looking in your eyes, like noone is there.
Everyone is getting around you to greet the birthday boy. You see so much unfamiliar faces, and you thank God again, you have so incredible friends to help you in everything. The crowd start to fade when Brian, and Roger are coming. “Happy birthday Buddy!” Says Roger just before he winks at you. You see Joe’s face but he has no time to ask, as Brian pulls him in a big hug.
“Happy birthday!” He says. “Never let this girl away!” He smiles at you.
“You should never!” Agrees Roger. “She is hell of a bone for any dog!” He says and you can’t help but crack up laughing.
“What?” You hear Joe giggling too.
“You like when I blush, am I right?” You look at Roger.
“To be fair, Yes!” He says as they walk away.
“What was that?” Joe wishpers in your ear.
“Ooh he heard me today speaking with Luc about my crush...”
“On his 80’s self” Joe cuts in and laughs.
“Yeah, and he thought you don’t know, but I corrected him that you use that against me!” You laugh.
“You told him our dirty secret?” He looks at you in shook.
“I know you feel like a man on fire now, but relax...” you giggle.
“Ooh, you and I have somethings to settle down tonight!” It comes from him.
“It was weak, old man, you misfired with it!” You laugh.
“It was just one vision okay?” He says.
“More likely your melancholy blues!” You laugh with your head falling back.
“I thought you came off this trowing Queen tiltes on eachother in conversation years ago!” You hear John behind you. “Brother, you got old!” He hugs Joe.
“Don’t be afaird you following me, not that behind!” He laughs, but it feels bitter sweet.
As finally everyone about to party and you had time to cut the cake up, and watch Joe eat from his third cake today, your heart is full. Ben is pulling him under his arm, and messes up his hair. They are fighting like two kids, you see Joe grabing a little bit of a left over cake and massage it all over Ben’s face. “We should stop them!” You hear Rami’s voice behind you.
“Let them be kids!” You look at him, and you can say from the look on his face your eyes are shining. “He looks so happy now!” You wishper.
“You know he looks even happier when you are next to him?” He asks.
“I hope!” You nod.
“I know!” He puts his hand on your shoulder while you are watching an intense cake war between Ben and Joe. “Even before we knew you - thank God he introduced you - his face just get brighter when he spoke about you.” He says smiling at you.
“I think I was the same!” You laugh.
“We can see how you look at eachother, we just saw it!” He continues. “He gets suprised with an apartment full of people, and he only saw you, and you saw only him, admit it!” He hugs you, before he gets between Ben and Joe as everyone is watching now, and there is almost no cake left. “What is enough is enough!”
“Okay dad!” Comes from Ben and Joe in choir.
“Come, I help you find something clean!” You grab Joe’s hand and walk him to his room.
He holds his back and says. “God I got old!”
“Yeah, but I still can be your Lolita and you can be my daddy!” You chuckle with a lust in your eyes.
“You... want... me...” he whispers as you lock the door.
“To be my daddy? Maybe?” You let your dress slip down a little bit of your shoulder. “Do you want to be my daddy?” You ask.
“Yes!” He nods quickly as he gets all of his clothes down.
“I want you, now!” You moan as you step closer.
“I haven’t heared you right, or did you leave something out?” He slaps your butt and you shiver all over your body.
“I want you now, daddy!” You say as he rolles up your dress, and one of his finger is already in you. “More please!” He stops, as his hand is slightly sliding to your neck. “Daddy, please more!” You choke under his pressure, and he gives you one more finger. You writhe with two finger in you, and one hand on your throat.
“Suck my cock!” He says and push you on your knees. You do what he asked, suck it as deep as you can, and work your way up and down on it. His hand is in your hair grabing it hard. “Good girl!” He moans. “Want me to fill you up?”
“Yes, daddy!” You groan as your breath is still playing with his member, and his eyes roll out from this.
“Turn!” He gets you up, and turns you to the wall. “For who you are so wet down there?” He wishpers into your ear.
“For you, daddy!” You almost srceam as he slides into you. He fucks you hard and you like it as he pushes you to the wall.
“Cum for me little girl!” His voice is full of lust.
“I am!” You almost scream as you fall from the edge, but he puts his hand on your mouth so noone can hear you. You are still shivering from the orgasm as he moves in you so fast. “Daddy, I wanna taste you all night!” You get off him somehow.
He pinches your chin but let you jerk him off. “Needy little brat!”
“Your brat, daddy!” You wishper before your tongue starts to play with his penis. He bits his own hand to not be so loud as he cumes in your mouth.
“Oh God!” He opens his eyes as you get up, get your dress down in place and kiss him with still full mouth. “Was it... okay with you?” He asks with shook on his face.
“I wasn’t sure you would like it too!” You nod and he cups your face and kisses you hard.
“I love you!” He moans.
“I love you too!” You pull away to get him some boxer and socks.
You hear a knock on the door. “Everything is alright?” Asks Ben.
“Yes! You just made him very dirty...” Joe’s eyes are widening. “The cake got everywhere!” You finish.
“One minute and I’m better then before!” Joe nods with a smirk on his face.
Just as Joe said one minute later you two are walking out of the room, Ben is still waiting there. “Can I have a clean shirt too?”
“Ofcourse!” Says Joe.
“I give him one birthday boy, go celebrate!” You slap him on his ass.
“Watch your moves!” He teases you before he leaves on the hallway.
You get back to the room and open the gardrobe and show him a shirt. “It will be perfect.” He says and you are about to get out when he steps behind you and wishper. “If you brush a little bit your hair noone will notice what did just happend, little brat!” You are blushing as you turn to him. “Relax, it wasn’t too long and I was the only one who heard you two!”
“Shit, sorry!” You whisper.
“Don’t be!” He laughs, and give you your brush from the bed side. “The guilty pleasure is the best!” As you walk out together he wishpers again. “I stan your lipstick it stayed on perfectly, but don’t dear to kiss me with that mouth!” He leaves your side giggling.
“What is he laughing about?” Joe puts his hand on your hips.
“Oh, just about that he don’t want your taste on his face!” You say it quietly, and watch his face while realisation hits him.
“He heard us?” He wishpers in your ear.
“Yeah!” You laugh.
“Wait!” He stars at your lipstick.
“You don’t have any marks on yourself!” You pat his chest.
“Good...” he leans closer and whisper in your ear. “But next time I want all of your lipstick on my cock!”
You feel your stomach tighten. “We made a deal, daddy!” You wishper back, and you feel him shivering.
First your families went home for the more than one hour road trip, then coworkers and semi friends left the party. You stayed playing cards with your second family. Just after midnight Brian and Anita went home, with Roger and Sarina.
The band was together again. Everyone was drinking and laughing. You see how good time Joe has, and it makes you happy. You are cuddling Lucy as the boys are playing video games. At 4 am Lucy and Rami are calling a taxi to get home, and Qwilym and Ben are about to sleep too, just as you.
When Joe is about to close the door Ben walks to him and whispers something to him, you only can make out daddy from his words, but as Joe is kicking him out you can guess he said something bad. “What did he said?” You ask.
“Well, he said: now knock up this little brat, daddy!” Joe looks really pissed, but you can’t hold back the laughter.
Always knew you / chapter nine
Joe Mazzello x reader
Warning: Loss of loved ones,swearing,fighting.
Comment: Y/N is corrently 22, while Joe is 35.
Summary: you knew Joe all of your life, and as best friends you two always find the way back to each other.
Tumblr media
Joe gets into the hospital room with frightened face. You are already almost crying. “Y/N, why didn’t you call me?”
“Babe I didn’t call anyone, I was unconscious, they called my mom from my phone.” You say.
“You were unconscious?” His voice is shaky as hell.
“Yes, I collapsed when I saw the blood on my leg...” you start to tear up.
“Blood...on your leg?” You see how his hand starts to shake. You close your eyes, you can’t deal with it. “Because...?” You hear his desperate voice, and you know he is hoping you say something else.
“Please don’t make me say it...” you start to cry with still closed eyes. “I can’t... I just can’t say it out loud...” you wishper and you hear him sniffing. The next thing you know that he is huging you, thight, with all of his strength.
“Silly, I... I...I...” he can’t even find the words.
“I know...” you sniff and grab him closer to you.
You stay like this until a doctor come in the room. “I’m sorry for your loss. We are still runing some tests, but you will be free today.” She is saying then turning to Joe. “Husband?”
“Boyfriend” he nods, still with tears in his eyes.
“Well, as I did say previous to your girlfriend, it seems like nothing really coused the miscarriage, she looks heatlhy.” She says with no emotion on her face, as she sees Joe’s face she continues. “Sometimes thing happen without reasons. Maybe next time she will be having a healthy pregnancy with even more stress, and she will be totally fine, and will be the baby too. This is unfortunate, but should not mean you can’t have another children.”
If it wouldn’t be the day you lost your unborn child you would be happy to hear this, but now you just start to cry again. “I leave you now, next time a come back with all of your results.” she says before leaving.
Your phone starts to ring on the table. Joe pick it up and look at you. “It is your mom.” He says, and you don’t know what to do. “Want me to speak with her?”
“I’m sure she is scared what is wrong” you wishper. “But I can’t tell her.”
“I will... if you want me.” His eyes are on you.
“She needs to know, as your mother too.” You nod.
“I’m on it.” He picks it up on the way out to the passageway. “Hi Lilly, It’s Joe...” you can’t hear him anymore, but you see him trought the window. He is covering his face with his hand to hide his tears. After he puts it down, he calls someone, surly his mother. You see him tear up again, and you can’t help but ugly cry all over again. It hits you, you feel like you failed everyone.
When Joe comes back you just mumble. “I don’t know how I will tell our families...”
“You don’t need to, the moms take it down from our shoulders...” he answers.
“Are you sure.”
“You need time,I need time.
Yes,I am sure.” He nods and gets you in his arms again.
____________________________________________
You were home for the past 3 days on a break, Joe didn’t leave you alone for a minute, and you need him just to be with you. You were watching tv and eating icecream almost all day, if you weren’t sleeping in his arms. You cried out all of your tears until you couldn’t cry anymore. Your mom called you everyday to make sure you are okay, as did Ginnie. Your dad even mad sure you get your favorite choko muffins he always bought you when you were sad as a child.
The night came and you are lying in bed, while Joe is sitting on the edge with a tense body.
“What’s wrong?” You ask.
“Nothing...” he says but doesn’t look at you.
“Tell me!” You poke him with your leg.
“I was just thinking...”
“Come on!” You goad him.
“Just that what would have happend if you were never pregnant, would you even be with me...”
“Excuse me?” You cut in. “Joseph Francis Mazzello III., you are about to tell me that I’m with you just because our child.”
“Who will never be with us.” He nods.
“You are kidding with me!” You scream at him as you get up from the bed. “I loved you all of my fucking life, and that is what I get? Just the night before you go off for a week?”
“Don’t say you did not have this on your mind!” Comes from him looking at you with mad eyes.
“Fucking not!” You go for his scotch, don’t even care about a glass you just drink straight from it. “I wanted you before YOU even brought up pregnancy! So that means you are the one who don’t want to come back after leaving in the morning?” You start to cry. “Then go, I won’t ruin your life!”
You wince as you hear his voice so close to your back. “You can never, ever ruin my life!”
“I already did!” You shot.
“No you didn’t” he grabs you but you fight your way out crying. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry...”
“It is easy to say, just after you ripped my heart out! I just lost my baby, and now I need to lose you.” You scream and cry at the same time.
“No! You won’t lose me!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I will be back, before you start to miss me!” He looks at you with pain in his eyes. “I’m just fucking afraid of losing you.”
“You say thing like that and want me to believe you are the one who don’t want to lose the other?” Your sarcastic laugh is killing even you.
“Yes I am! Look at me!” Tears start to fall from his eyes. “I’m old, I should have had kids before, but I have none, and here you are and the life is at your feets!” He sniffs. “I just don’t want you to realise some day, that you deserve better, because you do!”
“If you really know me, you know that I don’t want better or other, I just want you, always you!” You leave him there, get in bed and try to sleep.
____________________________________________
Joe kisses your cheek as he gets out of bed. It is four in the morning, and he will be leaving in half an hour. You half asleep as he wishpers. “I love you” and you say nothing, you don’t know what to say, what to feel, your heart is just broken. After he got his clothes on, you hear him on the phone. “Sorry nincompoop for annoying you this early, but I fucked up, really really bad, I need your help.” He waits for the answer then says. “I need you here, I pay for your plane, for the cab everything if you are free for a week” you turn and he is looking over you, but still thinks you are asleep. “I own you my life.”
_____________________________________________
“Honey! Can you let me in?” Says Lucy on the phone, and you open the building door, and than leave the front door open. You sit on the floor crying, brushing your hair, when she gets in. “Honey, are you alright?”
“No, Yes, I need to...” you wishper.
“What did he do?” She looks angry.
“We had a fight, before he left” you sniff.
“About what?” She asks.
You answer before even thinking. “About that if I would have never been pregnant I wouldn’t even be with him...”
“You are pregnant?” Asks Lucy.
“Shit, I didn’t wanted to tell you like this I’m a mess, I’m sorry.” She is still looking at you with the question on her face. “No, not anymore.” You sniff.
“Not anymore? What?” She is huging you.
“I had a miscarriage three days ago.” You hide your face into her neck.
“Ooh honey, I can’t even imagine what you been trought, and that bastard was able to say this to you? I’m going to kill him” says Lucy.
“Luc, I need to get myself together, I need to be at the field in an hour.” You look at your watch you get from Joe.
“Why?”
“I’m the leader trainer in the camp that starts today!” You say, and start to angry brushing your hair.
“Give it to me honey, I braid your hair!” Lucy gets the brush out of your hand, and help you.
“Thank you!” You nod, and feel little relaxed as she is pulling your hair. You just close your eyes and let the moment flying by.
“How did it come for you to be a baseball teacher?” She asks as your hair is done.
“You can guess two, I even stole a photo about Joe when he still was playing, I wanted to be like him, so I got in the team, and I felt in love with the sport, and ofcourse I love kids.”
“You stole a photo about him?” Her mouth is wide open in shook.
“Still noone knows, it is under my childhood bed.” You laugh for the first time in days.
“Nasty girl, can I go with you to the camp?” She asks.
“You don’t need to!”
“I want to help you!” She says with a bright smile on her face.
“With what?”
“Cheering you up, cheering the kids up” she tries to mimic a cheerleaders moves.
“That can work, but only if you want to come with me” you say. “I’m sure you had a lot planed before Joe called you”
“You know he called me?” She is suprised again.
“I was awake.” You nod. “So if you want to go home do your stuff, feel free.”
“Honey, I had no plans for this week, only to meet up with Rami, but that can wait, now you are the most important for me” she smooths out some baby hair from your face, and you hug her.
“Thank you, but if you want to go anytime, really feel free!”
“I won’t I want to be next to you” she kisses your cheek before you to head out to the train.
As you guessed everyone was over the moon, that Lucy Boyton will be there with them in camp. She was the perfect human being to cheer everyone up, even after lunch, when must of the kids wanted to sleep, she made them excited about an another practice.
After the day ended in the camp you headed home with the train. You are laughing all way long until your phone starts to ring.
“Hard knock life?” She smirks. “Joe?”
“Yes...”
“Give it to me!” Lucy grabs the phone from your hand. “Hallo? I’m sorry she is not available... ohh I don’t know maybe she just don’t care about fucking bastards” and she just hangs up on him. “It felt great.” She chukles.
“Even for me” you kiss her on the cheek.
When you get home you get to the kitchen thinking what should you two cook, but than Lucy holds up the wishky.
“It’s Joe’s” you say.
“So it is ours now!” She nods.
After you eat some sandwiches for dinner, you sit out on the balcony, with iced scotches.
Always knew you / chapter twelve
Joe Mazzello x reader
Warning: none if I’m right.
Comment: Y/N is corrently 22, while Joe is 35.
Summary: you knew Joe all of your life, and as best friends you two always find the way back to each other.
Tumblr media
As you have two weeks off before your next, and last summer camp this year, just the day after the proposal you fly to New York, to spend some time in Joe’s apartment, while he can do his own thing. It is your second day in the city, and you run down to a shop nearby, to get some veggies to be able to cook something until he gets home.
As you walk in the shop you see Joe’s name in the corner of your eye. You get to the tabloid, and start to read the headline. “Joe Mazzello propose to girlfriend noone knew about” you see a blurry picture about him on the field on his knees in front if you.
You buy your food, and head home as fast as you can. As you get your phone out of your pocket you open the searcher and look for “Joe Mazzello proposal”
All the articles are almost bad, some claim you are too young for him, some say it is too early for marriege, some just looks down on you because you are not more than a baseball trainer. You only find one that says “look how happy Joe Mazzello and his new fiancé are!” in the headline.
You cry on the couch when Joe gets home, you start to dry your tears up, before he gets to you, but you can’t fool him.
“Good afte... what is wrong Silly? I did something wrong?” When you shake your head he runs to you. “Then what happend?” You show him one of the articles, that you just saw. “Babe, never ever read this kind of a stuff!” He hushes you.
“This is just one, there is a lot!” You moan.
“And all of it is bullshit!” He nods angry. “I should have think about it, before asking you to marry me like this...”
“No! It is not your fault!” You cut in.
“You have no experience in this, I have. I wasn’t even thinking.” He chips his eyebrows. “I mostly don’t do things this public for a reason, but now I just wanted to make your day perfect!”
“You did nothing wrong!” You sniff, and as you look up to him, he holds your face between his palms.
“As neither did you!” He kisses you gently. “Don’t care if they think you are young for me! You will be the mother of my children, all the six, and that is what matters!”
“We still won’t have six children!” You laugh, and roll your eyes.
“We will” he wishpers in your ears, kissing it.
“So now on I should just call you John Richard Deacon?” You giggle.
“I thought you loved to say my full name!” He acts like upset, but you can see him trying not to laugh.
“You’re slightly going mad trying to be him” you laugh.
“Yeah, but please don’t stop me now!” He answers with a faked serious face.
“I don’t want to put you under pressure!” You can’t hold the laughter back.
“But I want it all” he laughs too.
“Just please keep yourself alive!” You bury your face in his neck.
“You see? You are the love of my life, and I want to spend the rest of my life like this!” He grabs you so close, there is no such thing like air between you two.
“you are my best friend, and the love of my life” you wishper.
“I’m the happiest to be both, and I can’t wait for you to call me husband, and dad.” He says and you just star at that beautiful hazel eyes.
“If I need to deal with a little Tim Murphy in some years I screwed!” You nod, as his eyebrow are raising high you continue. “Say no to that baby face you had, with your big brown eyes, that redish brown hair, cutest smile this worlds saw, that will be impossible!”
“You think I was a cute little kid?” He blushes.
“If I would’ve been born in the year as you, you couldn’t get ride of me since kindergarten!” You laugh. “I mean I felt in love with you around that time anyways” you laugh.
“That is true, but than you just cheated on me!” He laughs.
“Hey! You never said you want to keep me to yourself!” You poke him. “It wasn’t me who laughed on the other saying one day we are going to get married!”
“And look at us now!” He kisses you again, and when he looks at you his eyes are just full of love, you can’t even handle. “I only want to ask one thing from you: please don’t read any of this bullshit!” He smooths some hair out of your face. “I should’ve said it before, should’ve know it is not that easy for you! I’m sorry”
“You still didn’t do anything wrong!” You kiss him. “So I need help! I wanted to cook until you get home, but since I was traped in a lot of bullshit I did nothing...”
“I’m on it!” He gets up, and offers his hand to help you up. As both of you are standing he is still won’t let go of your hand just walks to the kitchen. You cook together just like on his first night in your place, just now you have enough room to not bump into eachother any second you move, but anyway you do it, just to touch the other. Joe sneakily turns on the music and grabs your hand to make you dance. It is a real 70’s song so he is twirling you as it is needed, and you do just what his dad teached on one of the sleepovers where you were old enough to be Joe’s pair. “I remember the time we danced like this for the first time!”
“Ooh make the baseball girl dancing project!” You laugh. “I was horibble.”
“No, you were perfect. That was the day I realised the boys in your class are in danger, or atleast they heart for sure!” He makes you turn again. “Just two years from that you stole my heart, I was wrong thinking only they were in danger!”
Does your mother know comes on and you start to laugh. “Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of you!”
“Miss I don’t remember a lot remembers the whole situation not just the kiss!” He trickles your side.
“You were teasing me that I’m so young for you, I proved you wrong by kissing you, but the real proof was you kissing me back.” You giggle in his arms.
“Flirting is a way of teasing?” He giggles in your neck.
“You call that flirting, old man?” You ask.
“I was drunk, and wasn’t sure I should make a move, you were just 18 and I was already in my thirtys.” He nods.
“Too sexy for a 30ish man!” You hug him.
“You think I’m sexy?” He looks at you with fake shook.
“Sexier every fucking day!” You get closer to him, if it is even possible.
________________________________________
Your brother and his family were about to come for lunch, so both of you were busy in the kitchen. Joe haven’t spoke with him since Tom broke his nose, so he is nervous about winning him over again. As you see his nerv you place your hand on his back and say. “Relax, you have Emma in your pocket!”
“And it will help?” He asks.
“Oh Silly, you will know when we have a child, if she likes you, he will be okay with you! She is the Boss!” You laugh.
“Oh in our family I will be the Boss!” He says under his nose.
“Dream big boy, dream!” You chuckle.
He grabs you by suprise and you fall on the floor laughing. “You think you will be the Boss?” He asks.
“No, I think if we will have a little princess around she will rule us!” You smile at him.
“And what if we have a prince?” He asks bitting your ear.
“Than maybe, maybe you can be the Boss!” You nod.
You just finish with everything when your family arrives. Emma is running to Joe, and you see Rebecca coming with Noah on her hip, while Tom is on the end of the line. When they get there you smile at her. “Hi honey! Give me this bad boy!” You hold your hand out for your nephew, and he is reaching for you. As you turn around with him in your arms, you see Emma sitting on Joe’s hip. Both of you looked at the other with so much in your eyes. This view was something you wanted to see a lot of the times, and you could guess that was on his mind too.
“Hi Tom!” Joe offers his free hand, and your brother shakes it, you feel this is a good sign. “Hi Rebecca!” He kisses her on the cheek.
“Daddy! Uncle Joe promised me he will braid my hair again!” Says Emma with a big smile on her face. “Penny was so jelaous when I told her that the boy from Jurassic Park made my braids!” She giggles, and you try not to laugh on the movie referense.
“Who is Penny darling?” Asks Joe, like he wasn’t called almost Tim Murphy just a second ago.
“One of my friends in preschool!” She looks up at Joe with bright eyes. “She said, she wants to meet you!”
“I’m sure we can speak with your dad, and you can come here with her next time!” He kisses her cheek. You look at your brother and you know Joe is half way to his heart again. They were friends before the last months, and you know his protective mode will calm down any time soon, and everything will be like it was before.
After you eat lunch you sit down to play some games together. Emma wanted to be in a team with Joe, so it is almost like all the adults are playing a kid game, just for the little princess to run sometimes there and pretend to play, while Noah had his afternoon sleep.
As the night comes your brother and his wife are about to finally go for a date first time since they had their son, and leave the kids with you as it was planed. You think it is funny how Noah was all the way on you all night, while Emma was consantly talking to Joe, following him everywhere.
Everytime Joe tries to speak to your nephew, he buries his little face in your neck, that he was already wraping around tightly with his chuby hands.
As Joe takes your niece to have a bath you just stand in the door rocking the half asleep two years old on your side watching him do the same he did when you were just two years younger than her. Memories are coming back, and you can’t help but smile. Joe looks up at you with full on smile melting your heart even more. “I love you!” He forms without making any noise.
“I love you too!” You do the same.
Luckily Joe’s bed is big enough for the 4 of you. The kids are already asleep between you two while you are holding hands above they heads. You just look at them sleeping, and then look at Joe. His eyes are full of love, different kind of love you ever seen.
“I want to marry you this year!” He lets it out.
“What? There is only four months left from this year!” You wishper over the kids head.
“And what?” He asks quietly.
“You know it needs to be prepared right?” You ask.
“4 months from now! That is enough time!” He nods.
“You can prepare a wedding on the moon in that little time?” You ask giggling.
“You sneaky Twitter stalker! You were keeping your eyes on me all the time right?” He chukles. “I don’t want a big thing, but I want our extended family to be there, that is all I want!”
“Me too!” You nod.
“So...” he looks at his phone. “december 14, 2019 you are marrying me!”
“december 14, 2019 I’m marrying you!” You nod. “Good night Handsome!”
“Good night Beautiful!”
You fall asleep thinking you could get used to this.
____________________________________________
You pick up as Lucy calls you on FaceTime. She is smiling at you with her brightes smile.
“How is my bride?” She asks.
“Good, good.” You nod.
“Everything is alright?” She asks, with a little worry in her voice.
“Yeah, I just wanted to ask you something in person, but as I see Joe did it on phone, so I need to be okay with it. So Honey, would you be my maid of honor?” You ask.
“Why I feel Ben will be my partner is crime?” She asks back.
“Is that a Yes or...” you panic.
“Ofcourse it is a Yes!” She laughs.
“So than I would like to book you for december 14!” You giggle.
“This year? You know it is august already?” She asks in shook.
“Yeah I know! But as far as we don’t want it to be too big, we can make it happen by then!” You nod. “And no, you stick with your regular partner in crime for this job.” You laugh.
“That bastard didn’t told me?” Lucy sound more suprised now.
“He just get the news an hour ago, relax!” You chuckle. “Do you know anyone that would personalise a dress for me in thi s short time?”
“I have more places here that would make it, but less there!” She answers.
“Then, after I’m done with next week’s camp I should fly there!” You nod.
“It is good for you?” She asks with bright eyes.
“Yeah, and then we can invite Benjamin too!” You giggle.
“You make him second maid of honor?” Lucy laughs.
“If he want to be, I mean you can have the same dress on!” You laugh too.
“I’m sure he will jump on the oportunity!” She says. “I should call my sweet boy, to let him know he is not the only one who has been chosen.”
“See you soon, Luc!” You say.
“See you soon, Honey!” She answers before hanging up.
As you know Joe will be late tonight as he is on a business dinner, you go into his bathroom, to take a bubblebath. You prepare your favorite book you are reading the 5th time now, some iced tea on the side. You light some candles, and as your bath is ready you sink in. This is pure joy, to let your body relax a little bit. You know it won’t be a big wedding, but you already feel stressed about it as you know the date.
You wouldn’t tell Joe, but you are afaird how the public will criticize you over every little thing you do. You haven’t even pick where your wedding should be, and that is making you crazy. Joe was very busy nowdays so he not really had time to have a conversation about it, even you should decide, after all it is in december.
You sit there until the water gets cold, and you dry yourself and head to bed. You are already half asleep when you hear the door open on the bottom of the apartment. As you are not in the living room he is not calling for you, just in case you are already dreaming. He sneaks in the room gets down his pants and start to button down his shirt. “Hi, love!” You moan.
“Hi,Silly! You are still awake?” He asks.
“Partly, maybe?” You nod.
“I miss seeing you awake!” He giggles.
“I miss seeing your face... or licking it!” You nod.
“You can open your eyes now!” He laughs.
“If I could...” you moan.
“So you don’t really want to see me!” He pushes your side when he lies next to you. You open one eye, and squints at him. “There you go!”
“Turn down the lights!” You shout. As he turns it down you kiss his lips, and before he could move you lick his face.
“You really missed to lick my face!” He smirks.
“Yeah! Good night handsome!” You smirk too.
“Good night beautiful!” He kisses your forhead just before you would fall asleep.
Always knew you / chapter thirteen
Joe Mazzello x reader
Warning: swearing, fighting, smoking.
Comment: Y/N is corrently 22, while Joe is 35.
Summary: you knew Joe all of your life, and as best friends you two always find the way back to each other.
Tumblr media
You are on a plane to London where two of your best friends are waiting for you to go looking for your wedding dress. You are a little scared they want you to make you have something fancier than you want, but you know they want the best for you.
As you get to them you hug them, and you see the defiant look on Ben’s face, but he hugs you like a hundred times before. Lucy starts to speak so fast you can’t even catch up, and you are already in one of the lots of shops she want to see today, and tomorrow. The owner ask you a bunch of question about you, and your wedding, your fiancé and when she is finished she runs away just to get back with atleast 10 dresses. All was good looking, and even your style, she knew what she is doing, but none of then was the one. You thank the lady and head to the next one.
When you walk in you see the lady’s eyes widen as she sees not just Lucy, but Ben. She kisses Lucy, and turns to you. “Hi, I’m Erika!”
“Hi, I’m Y/N!” You shake her hand.
“You are the bride right?” She asks, and when you nod she continues. “If I can have one personal question: how did you get these famous friends on hand like this?” She giggle.
“She got the first one wraped on her finger 22 ago, now she is marrying him!” Laughs Luc.
“Who is your fiancé?” She asks.
“Joseph Francis Mazzello III. “ you answer with so much pride in your voice.
“You mean Joe Mazzello who was playing John Deacon with them?” You see her jaw droping.
“Yes, that’s my boy!” You laugh. “I know him from the first day of my life...” you answer the unspoken question.
“Lucky girl!” She nods.
“Yeah I know!” You smile at her.
She ask a lot more questions just to find you some dresses you would like. You start to try on some, they are beautiful, but still none of them make you feel you find the one. Ben is still acts like a child who’s toy has been taken.
“Not like my options are really important but I think you look beautiful.” He says with a hurted child’s face.
“Benjamin Jones! Can we talk in private?” You shout at him.
“Yes mom!” He follows you to the next room.
“What is the matter with you?” You ask really feeling like a mother right now.
“Nothing...” he says, but as he sees your face continues. “Okay, it hurts Joe chosed Rami not me” he admits.
“Have you thinking why?” You ask with softened face now.
“Yeah, and I can’t figure it out...” you see how his face is shows all of his emotions.
“He never told me, but I know why.” You say.
“Yes?” His eyes are little hopefull.
“Yes. Have you thinking about what if we are having a child again, and this time around we can hold our baby in our arms too. You all good friends but every title is a one man job. Joe knows Rami 10 years or so now, they were friends before you two even knew eachother. You have a special bond with him, there is no doubt about that, but can you imagine if he chose you to be his best man, and a year later or so you will be chosen to be the godfather of our child how would it make feel everyone else? Like there is just you, and he doesn’t even count them as friends. I’m sure he wanted to be fair with everyone, and you are the first one he would trust with his son or daughter. “ you place your hand on his shoulder.
“You think?” He asks with bright eyes.
“Silly, I’m sure even we never spoke about it!” You laugh.
“Have can you be so sure then?” He asks.
“I just know him, and I know I would chose you to take care of my child if something happens to me, even if you are a goofball!” You giggle.
“Really?” You see him smile for the first time since you get down for the plane.
“Yes, Benjamin!” You nod.
“So you have bigger rules for me?” He asks,and you know he want to tell it to everyone.
“I guess, but it need to be our secret.” You start. “First of all you should not hurt your friends feelings, and second of all we never spoke about it with Joe, it is not a made choice it is what I feel, and think!” You say with a face you thought you would never use until you have a child.
“Okay...” he nods with sadness in his eyes.
“It will be our secret, don’t be childish!” You poke him, and he suprise you with a big, warm hug. “What for?”
“Just can’t imagine better wife for my Buddy!” He kisses your cheek before you two head back to the room where Lucy, and Erika are waiting for you.
“Everything is alright?” Ask Lucy.
“Everything is alright, Luc!” Nods Ben.
You try on a lot of dresses lastly a mermaid dress that you like the most, but still can’t decide you find the one or not, even your friends are very conserned it is the one. You thank Erika and left to go to the next shop.
As you start to try on new clothes you cannot not think on Erika’s last dress, so as your 4th dress is on you and you look at yourself in the mirror you turn to your friends. “We need to go back to Erika!”
“We were right, weren’t we?” Cheers Lucy.
“Sorry, I think I find the dress in the last shop. “ you turn to the shopassistent.
“It is more common than you think!” Comes the answer.
You get back into your regular dress and than head back to Erika. Her face is full of suprise when she sees all of you again.
“You left something here?” She asks.
“Yes, my wedding dress!” You smile at her.
“You came back to get a dress from here?” Her jaw drops again.
“Yes! I fall in love with the last one, it seems I just needed time to realise I felt in love!” You say and both of your friends are choking in laughter.
“What is so funny about it?” Asks Erika.
“Uhmm, maybe that they knew that we are in love when I first meet them, but we just faced our feelings this summer” you answer.
“Wait, you just get together in the summer and you already enganged?” She asks.
“Yeah, it was building up in us for so long, but things got real in this summer.” You answer.
“So it was love for a long time?” She asks.
“It was always love, but it was romantic more than 4 years now, we were just to afraid of losing eacother we never made a move.” You nod.
“I’m happy you finally find the way around!” She smiles.
You are in a bar as you have one whole day to sober up after your measurement was taken before planed. You drink the first shot and Ben is watching you if you really drinking it.
“I’m not pregnant! I’m drinking with you guys!” You laugh at him.
“Are you sure?” He asks.
“Yes, I’m sure!” You laugh. “I haven’t meet Joe since I had my period!” You wishper.
Lucy laughs so hard on this, but you can’t decide on the TMI answer or Ben’s wide open eyes on you.
“As go...” you look at him with your eyebrows raising, and he changes his words. “Ood friend of yours, I allow you to drink than!”
“How good you are!” You laugh with Luc.
Your phone start to ring, and Lucy singing along again, just like last time.
“Hi, Silly! How was your day?” You pick it up.
“Hi, my love! It was good, and yours?” Joe asks.
“It was great!” You nod, with a big smile on your face.
“You are drinking, am I right?” He asks again.
“What if the answer is yes?” You ask back.
“Nothing, I’m happy you are having fun!” He giggles.
“Than it is a yes.” You nod.
“And what’s about the dress?” He throws an another question.
“Ooh we got it!” You chuckle.
“Really?” He sounds so happy.
“Yes, I just needed time to realise I love it” you laugh, as Ben and Lucy too.
“What is so funny you all laugh about?” He sounds confused.
“You don’t see it? I needed time to realise I’m in love with the dress, just like with you!” You point it out.
“Ooh, it is funny?” He asks.
“Don’t be huffish! It is, as you needed time too!” You smirk.
“Okay, you won, it is funny!” He says.
Ben gets the phone out of your hand. “I miss you too, Buddy!” He Waits for the answer you can’t hear. “Yes, yes I know we need to keep our love a secret now you are marrying her!” He tries not to giggle. “Yes, yes I know, I’m on it!” He Waits a minute than follows up with this: “ You will have her for the rest of your life! Tonight is ours, good night!” He hungs up on Joe. “What the heck is this?” He asks as he sees your phone’s background.
“Joe, my niece, my nephew and me!” You smile at him with bright eyes. “We were looking for them for the night, when my brother and his wife came home, they looked over us, and she felt she can’t go without taking a picture...”
Lucy gets the phone out of his hands and looks at the photo where you are sleeping with the kids between you. “You would look just so fucking lovely as parents!” She nods. “Do you... do you trying? Or waiting a little bit?” She asks with hesitation.
“We haven’t speak about it yet...” you start. “We are not really on the protective side of the things, but did not said out loud we are trying or anything like that...” you blush.
“So you are enjoying life.” Says Ben.
“Yes, very well!” You giggle.
“To much information!” Shouts Ben.
“I thought we past that with speaking about my period!” You giggle.
“Yeah, me too!” Laughs Lucy with her head falling back.
You get up, and get an another round of shots and more drinks, and as you turn back to the table you see some young girls around your friends. You walk there and put the drinks down. Even your friends aknowleged your present the girls just tried to ignore you.
“Sorry, I would like to sit back between my friends!” You knock on their shoulder.
“Sorry and who are you?” One of them ask with a face that tells you she looks down on you.
“Oohm, best friend of these two, plus Rami, and ofcourse Gwilym, oh and Joe’s fiancé. Was it a satisfying answer?” You say with some kind of anger on your face.
“She is our woman...” laughs Lucy so hard. “You should respect her, I mean less than 4 months and you call her a Mazzello, so...”
“You rush that too?” She asks with one raising eyebrow.
“Rushing what?” Your jaw drops.
“You weren’t really much together and he already proposed, and you will get married in months, are you pregnant or what?” She continues.
“Excuse me? You mean after knewing him for all of my life I’m rushing anything?” You step closer to her, even she is way taller than you.
“Anyway, I don’t know what he likes in you!” She walks away and the only reason you don’t go after her that Ben is holding your wrist.
“Relax!” He says.
“Relax?” You turn back to him with fire in your eyes.
“Yeah, don’t give her the power!” Nods Luc.
“Yeah, you are right!” You close your eyes to calm down, and than sit between them again.
You drink maybe to much amount of shots and drinks, but you have a great time with your friends so being drunk is worth it. You go to the toilet, and you are about to fix your hair, when a girl looks at you in shook.
“You are Joe Mazzello’s girlfriend! Oh my God!” She smiles at you with bright eyes.
“Yeah she is his slut!” Comes from the door.
You turn and your mind is just turns into red. That bitch just standing in the door, looking at you like you are a piece of Shit. “Fuck you!” You start to run, and as you bump into her both of you wreck out and land on the floor. You try to punch her in the face but she lift her head perfectly into your. You slap her face as it goes back, and he punches you just before you do the same. Some punches are going around before someone is holding you, while trying to get you down from her.
You hear Ben’s voice in your ears. “Stop Y/N, just stop it!” You stop as he asked and you step up. There is not much people in the pub so just a couple of folks are watching. You are happy you don’t see any phones a or cameras around.
“Sorry!” You turn to Ben and Lucy.
“It is okay, what happend?” Asks Luc.
“She called me Joe’s slut and my mind just shoot down.” You say, and feel Ben get tense next to you.
“You are lucky I don’t fight with girls, but speak one more time likes this about any of my friends and I will make you an exception!” He looks at the girl who is about to get up.
The bartander comes and asks you and the girls to leave the bar now, and the three of you do, but you can hear the girls whining before they are put out too.
“I’m sorry guys, I ruined our night!” You feel so bad now.
“Ooh come on, she deserved it! I’m happy you did it so I did not needed!” Ben kisses you on the cheek. “Oh God, you are bleeding!” He says and Lucy is immediately stands in front of you and looks at your head.
“Okay, we need to make sure it is clean, so lets go home!” She says and get a cab.
As you get to her apartment she gets you into the bathroom and sits you in the edge of the bathtube. “Stay still, but it is goning to hurt!” She says with a smile that looks not that happy you are used to. It is burning as she is cleaning all the 4 wound you got tonight. “Sorry Honey, it looks better now!” She nods and you look in the mirror. You have two wound on your forhead and one-one on your cheeks.
“Hope it heals before the wedding, and won’t leave any marks!” You wishper.
“It won’t it is not that bad, just the purple skin that makes it looking worst!” Nods Lucy.
“You look beautiful anyways!” Says Ben from the door.
You are about to suprise Joe in his apartment after your short trip to London. You open the front door so quitely he does not notice you are home. You see him on the balcony in a smoke cloud. You open the glass door, and see him frightened wincing. “Hi!” You say, like you haven’t seen the cigarette in his hand.
“Hi!” He tries to hide it behind himself but then as he turns his jaw just drops open, and he is totally forgets he does not wanted you to know he is smoking. “What happend Silly?” He asks while smoothing some hair out of your face with the hand he holds the cigarette in.
“Someone called me your slut...” you pull your shoulder. “Don’t look at me like that, that bitch looked at me like I’m a piece of shit, she was a fucker when she get some pictures with Ben and Luc saying I was rushing everything, and later she called me your slut and my mind just shoot down!”
“Oh Silly, but are you okay?” He asks.
“Yes!” You nod before huging him. “And can you tell me what it is in your hand?” You wishper in his ear.
“Hey, Hey, hey we should focus on the fighting woman here!” He chuckles in your neck.
“So since when you are smoking again?” You ask.
“It is a hard time okay? I haven’t seen you in almost 2 weeks, work, wedding...” he moans.
“Yeah, okay.” You nod.
“You are not mad at me?” He asks with raising eyebrows.
“Not mad. Sad? Maybe... but it is your life and even it is not healthy you look sexy with it...” you bit your bottom lip. Looking back and fort between his eyes and his lips with the cigarette between them. He looks at your lips as he lets a cloud out, and you grab his waist harder as you feel more turned on. He kisses you, and you know you are lost. You jump on him, and after he trampled the cigarette he gets you inside to push you in the couch.
