Tigra the Were-Woman
Over a year ago, I discussed Moon Knight’s appearance in Marvel Spotlight #28 (Jun. 1976) as part of a broader Moon Knight post. During this discussion, I mentioned buying Marvel Chillers #5 (Jun. 1976) at nearly (or possibly exactly) the same time.

"Chai tea. Not chai, or tea, he says chai tea. Can you believe these Americans? They watch Mindy Kaling and think they know everything, I swear."
Mateus Mardhak glared at the young man sitting/hanging out of his open window. "Pavitr, either come inside or stay outside."
"But it smells so nice over here! I can smell Chaitra Madame's panneer from here. We should go see her."
"I have work to do."
Pavitr rolled his eyes. "Bhai, you've been sneaking glances at Krithika every few minutes. Maybe you're not hungry, but you're clearly VERY thirsty."
Mateus sputtered in a futile attempt to deny his statement.
Krithika looked up from her laptop, eyebrows raised in amusement.
She gave him a cheerful wave, which Pavitr returned, and opened his mouth to speak, when Matt shot up from his seat.
"Alright, Pavitr and I are going to get food. You want us to grab anything for you, Krithika?"
"I'm fasting today, but thanks for asking," she said, giving Mateus a warm smile. Gods, he loved her.
Pavitr all but dragged him outside, and Mateus nearly tripped over himself when he heard Krithika whisper "Although I could use a glass of water, Mateus; I am feeling a little thirsty."

The Hotel Podcast characters based on How fun they are to put in AU's and Situations:
The Hotel Herself: She causes problems on purpose. She's so fun. I love her. 10/10.

The Manager: 7.5/10. She's just really fun to watch. She's probably the best in the Art School AU.
The Concierge: He's also fun to put in situations but not as much as Hop. 8/10.
The Lobby Boy: He's a wild prey animal you have to acclimate to normal stuff. 6/10.

god what a fantastic finale of mentopolis. phenomenal work from everyone.
a list of my favorite things about this episode:
concocting a plan to both get money from don avaricci while not killing conrad. the character arc that dan fucks went through in mentopolis was slow but my god was it funny
imelda flashing her boobs and getting four gangsters on her side
dan flashing his dick and getting it shot immediately. on sight.
the diamond hard balls coming back to deflect the bullets
the mechanical changes that came from the key-pressure combination
ivana rolling a 59. truly what the fuck. two nat 20s and a 19 in front of the board. they watched that happen in real time. and trapp rolling a one sturdy. getting punched a quarter mile out of the station.
dan's heroic sacrifice for conrad fully made me tear up. the fact that he was distracted by the glorious revolution of pleasure does not detract from this
the adrenaline injection moment and curios moxie intake
all of the effort that went into medical attention for dan. fucking wilton. the hand spit guy is dan fucks' dad?!?!?!
the fix taking that key from madam loathing! he did it! he put it in his craw!
conrad talking madam loathing down with a d100 spirit roll! sometimes the mechanics really do tell stories in a way you just can't get in standard media
the 11 sturdy. the 57 spirit. (alex's favorite number because it's the number of Heinz varieties)
elias taking the initiative and getting going
the fix menacing don avaricci with dinoflagellates and punching the shit out of him
the birthday cake!
elias getting an ice skating date with the coffee shop girl!!!!!!!!
i owe my sister a call!!!!!!!
the entire epilogue was great: elias becoming a whistleblower and getting the mind control shut down, anastasia & fawn's relationship, conrad & dan fucks' business partnership, curio finding foot stuff
the fix and pasha get their own bullet point. half of that was hank and brennan just fully flirting. going to madam loathing's to: find ichabod, who had been running nostalgia's, stuck in the past for so long, propose (after 20 years of marriage? Hank what is happening?), find out madam loathing, now guilta is going on a self-discovery trip, fully just get her house, and custody of all of elias' repressed childhood interests!
anastasia running for public office alongside frank freeze (pay attention!) after getting the DA arrested in court
and of course, imelda capping it off with chattanooga choo choo
truly what a fantastic season. while both of the kids on bikes/brooms seasons i.e. mismag and mentopolis were fantastic, i think mentopolis had just enough time to really get a little more crunchy mechanically, and that resulted in some great moments in this finale specifically. this is a sidequest i will be coming back to for rewatching. i loved it.

Madame Loathing being corrupted by the psychometer from the very first episode of Mentopolis really paints the “that is incredible information for you to have volunteered” scene in a different light for me.
like originally it’s a fun meta joke about Brennan giving a player information about what they should do next, but if you consider it within canon? Madame Loathing was trying to give The Fix as much information on Conrad so that he could find him and kill him as quickly as possible, since she had already corrupted M. Bition to order The Fix to do that.
and Hank catches it! he realizes getting this much information from an NPC is unusual! and while Brennan deflects, he also makes the in canon character deflect (“focusing on me will only make me stronger”) in a very menacing way. some damn good foreshadowing on Brennan’s part.
