So I've decided to base all of my makeup techniques to fit Dio Brando's aesthetic to the best of my ability. I will be practicing as much as I can with makeup art and see what happens. I'll show pictures once
we need to destroy the idea that girls should wear makeup. normalize bare faces on prom queens and flower girls and cheerleaders. no products at all instead of '7 product simple makeup routine.' no more 10 step skincare and regular facials and dermablading and gua sha just to be comfortable with yr natural face. i want to see eye bags on the funny librarian and acne on the swim coach and wrinkles on all our adult role models. i want to see a 16 year old girl that has never tried putting on eyeshadow. i want to see a 7 year old girl who doesn't have to go out and buy powder for her dance recital. i want to see trans women and girls everywhere to never have to wear makeup, regardless of how well they 'pass.' no more 'contouring to look masc' either. a post-beauty industry world is possible
reblogs are on but if you bring up the stage makeup point that i have addressed three times yr blocked on sight ☹️
since the weather is getting warmer, my makeup routine has simplified A LOT lmao… but I feel like this is a pretty “fool-proof” make-up routine, so maybe you guys can take some inspo from this!!
what I used:
Benefit "goof-proof brow pencil" (shade 3.5)
Nars "radiant creamy concealer" (shade custard)
Benefit "Benetint"
Charlotte Tilbury "airbrush flawless filter" powder (shade 2 medium)
Too Faced "Cinnamon Swirl" eyeshadow palette (like 3 years old and most likely expired)
Catrice "More Than Glow" highlighter (shade 010 platinum glaze)
Benefit "they're real! magnet" mascara
Radome lash clusters on the outer corners only
Clinique "Black Honey"
Let me know if you guys have any questions and pleeeaassee let's just ignore how seorjgspewijef my eyes look in the beginning, I cried myself to sleep last night!! ˚ ༘♡ ⋆
Idk if i’ll be able to articulate this properly but i love trans ppl in alternative subcultures. Here you have these aesthetics with an already higher than average baseline of gnc attributes in terms of hair, makeup, clothing, and accessories or lack therof. But then you add in the fact that the person dressing in this way that is gnc as part of this culture is doing something that is gender affirming for them when in other contexts it might not be. Like, a punk trans girl with buzzed hair and a tank top, or an emo tboy wearing a skirt and eyeliner are being gnc in a way that fits to their preferred gender even though to outsiders they might look #Normal. I just think it’s really cool, and also pretty smoking hot! Yeah!!!
