Miguel was furious as usual, his blood was beating like a drum with it, his mind buzzing akin to white noise. New anomalies, new foes but mostly a pesky kid who didn't know how to stay put and shut the fuck up- Miles Morales. He was seething- his eyes glowing a crimson hue violently assaulting against the hazel of his eyes. He looked like shit. Hell, he felt like shit. He was slipping, letting things get in the way, and he blamed you for it. Miguel doesn't slip. Miguel doesn't let things get in the way. Only until you came into his life and veered him off his intended course.
It was his hegemonic masculinity piping up like a hot breath down his neck. Miguel brought together the spider society- he was the solution to every problem, every anomaly, the answer to every spider. But he doesn't answer to himself. No, he didn't. You were the one that was overseeing Miguel's little society, hiding and checking in from time to time if the multiverse wasn't fucked up and every dimension was in a semi-stable state. Miguel was in control of the other spiders, he had to run his orders by you first even if you weren't at HQ half of the time. Being in a subservient position was exorbitantly and intensely frustrating and it made him highly hostile to anyone who talked to him.
You on the other hand had the jurisdiction to give him the authority- you gave him the damn idea, you were from his damn universe, but you couldn't deal with the politics and moral dilemmas that came with leading it. Also, you enjoyed toying with him. Fuck you found so much satisfaction in crawling through him, blowing at that over-inflated ego, those broad shoulders filled to the brim with hubris and pride. Hm, he was good at what he did though- actively scaring off anyone who dared speak against him. Except for Morales. You appreciated his pluck, it reminded you of yourself. Miguel was formidable but you understood why he needed to apprehend Morales- for some reason every time you were near the kid you started glitching out, it fucking hurt and messed with your brainwaves. You understood why he had to capture Miles but you didn't agree with how he was handling it. Miguel was sitting at his desk trying to figure out why this was happening and why this was happening to you but he came up empty. He didn't know what to think about it let alone do. It made him feel uneasy and he hated it. Cómo pedo solucionar esto? (How do I fix this?) kept looping throughout his head and it made him feel helpless and weak. Two words he would never associate with himself.
‘’Miguel.’’ Your voice echoed off the walls and shot straight to his ears, it was smoky and breathy.
"Y/N. Qué estás haciendo aquí? What do you want?’’ His usual low timbre makes your brows furrow involuntarily. ‘’Get out of the shadows.’’ He ordered and for once you listened to him, hopping on his platform behind him.
‘’Morales.’’ You stated deadpan knowing the reaction he was going to get, Miguel's eyes drastically narrowed and changed from a soft ambient scarlet to a scorching blood red. He turned his face a little to the side to glare at you.
"That kid touches anything in another dimension, I'll kill him myself.’’ He replied huskily. You weren't sure if you could trust his words. Yes, he was capable of it but you know deep down he wouldn't want to.
His moral compass strayed once, he won't let that happen again. Never.
"You wanna kill kids now? Is that how low we're going?'’
'We? There's we now?’’
You cocked your head at his question, your face remaining hard.
He stared at you in silent fury, of course he wouldn't want to resort to that but he had to do what he had to do. Miguel was surprised you didn't want to take him yourself considering he makes you glitch out. He hates you, God he hates you. But what happened to you...scared him. You'd been a part of this for so long, if anyone was going to hurt you it would be him- not anyone else. If anyone else did- Miguel dismissed the thought as quickly as it came.
Sometimes when he looked at you, he couldn't help but admire your callousness, your brutality yet your undying generosity to people who didn't deserve such a royalty. On the other hand, you were fucking gorgeous. He hated it. It was distracting. It was cruel. Though he couldn't help a little blip or mishap with his thought process- he was still a man after all. Miguel wondered what was under that suit. Wondered what you would like with nothing on at all. Wondered if you would still talk back with that snotty little attitude if you were choking on his dick instead. Though he wouldn't trust you not to bite his dick off in the process. Would you like his fangs? Would you like his claws? He shouldn’t be thinking such a thing.
‘’I should ask you the same question since he affects your stability también.’’ He replied calmly, slightly shocking you. ‘’No matter, I'll stop it. Alone.’’ He growled as he stepped off the platform, tired of entertaining this conversation with you. ‘’You've done enough damage as it is, now I have to fix it.’’
‘’I caused this damage? You realize how fucking stupid you sound. You control the spiders, I let you make orders.’’ You strike a harsh tone as you jolted in front of him to stop his path. Shit, he towered above you, all broad shoulders and disheveled hair. Although he undermined you like this, you wouldn't mind it in other situations...but at work, he was quite literally a piece of work and it made your blood boil. You both knew, you both could feel the palpable hatred swinging and beating again. ‘’And alone? I don't trust you not to kill him, Miguel.’’ You scowled, your eyes wide and piercing through him, halting him in his tracks. The gaze shared between you both was impenetrable, scorching, a battle against wills.
‘’I can't let you.’’ He shot back with a frown and grating red eyes.
‘’While I watch helplessly from the sidelines? I don’t think so. ’’ You challenged him white cold.
‘’I'm asking you, don't let me make you.’’ He gritted through clenched teeth, his fangs lightly protruding.
He was trying to scare you, it wasn't working.
‘’What is this to you? Playtime? To prove you're the strongest, to create fear wherever you go?’’ You pleaded with him orotund, inviting a yelling match to prove you weren't going down easy on this occasion.
You let Miguel do whatever he damn pleased like this was his own hunting grounds- but you won't let him lose his sanity.
‘’What? No.’’He replied shocked and confused at your presumed reasons why he was doing this. He just had to. He couldn't tell you the deep-rooted reason.
He didn't want to admit it.
Fuck, he couldn't admit it.
What kind of man would that make him?
What kind of leader? What kind of example would he be?
‘’Then what is it-?’’ He was trying to walk away from you but you snaggled onto his suit and brought him back to face you. ‘’Tell me.’’ You ordered stiffly.
‘’I have to do this alone.’’ His voice faltered a little and he was afraid that you might have heard it, that he gave you a glaring view of how quickly he was slipping through the cracks- how weak you've made him, how weak he was becoming.
‘’Why? Why do you need to, Miguel?!’’ You were almost yelling at him and no one other than you would get the privilege of living if they did that.
‘’Stop it.’’ He grunted like a wild animal.
"Then what-? What is it?’’ Your eyes searched for his as he was avoiding looking at your face, terrified that it would be written all over it. His heart was pounding.
‘’I'm not-‘’
‘’Not what?’’ You implored, pushing him further and further to the edge.
‘’I'm not strong enough.’’
‘'Strong enough? Oh yeah, and going after a kid will make you stronger.’’ You chided, eyes stiff cold, and judgemental.
‘’Yes, fuck. I-. No!’’ Miguel raked an exasperated hand through his hair, his palm was twitching and his talons were ready to come out. If only he could make you understand without telling you- but you were insatiable, a tick under his skin. Ready for another fucking fight.
Your eyebrows wilted as you said the words, so unbelievably paralyzed by his gall, his hubris, his never-ending need to prove he's the strongest, that he could do all of this. You knew he fucking could. ‘’That's what this is, some sort of bench press exercise for you? Some sort of work-out?!’’ Miguel grabbed you by the arms and his talons pinched at your skin through his suit, like he was trying to shake some sense into you.
‘’I can't lose you again!’’ He yelled at you, his face merely inches away from yours.
Your mouth popped open at his frazzled admission of honesty, his glowing red eyes faded as he stared at you, hoping for an answer he was sure you wouldn't give him. Miguel's harsh expression was lost with the wind when he hung his head to avoid that fucking look in your eyes. The one that made all the weight of the world he carried on his shoulders all the more fucking heavier, his hands raked down your arms as if he was soothing himself, and his breath became heavier as he closed his eyes to process the words he uttered. You glitching out every time Miles was near you is not an option he was willing to entertain: it was his job to worry about anomalies and canon events but on this occasion- he didn't. And he was admitting that to you.
It's not the fact that he's dangerous or an anomaly. It's because of you.
What kind of selfish would that make him?
Last time that happened he lost everything.
He would never make the same mistake again.
But look at him now.
Making the same mistake.
‘’I can't lose you. No otra vez....I'm not str-I'm not strong enough.’’ His head hung low as if the weight of the universe was saving him from completely falling apart.
You sighed in a mix of relief and pity. This is what it was all about? Pobre cosa (poor thing). Your eyes were wide with a magnetic pulse and your body was radiating a mesmeric need. He felt it. Your hands flew to his chest and slowly meandered to his broad shoulders, he was panting in exhaustion and regret but your fingers went to his chin and jutted it upwards so your longing stare could meet his. It was a scorching look between two tired and exhausted people. Miguel was working himself so hard and you just wanted to make him forget about it, just once.
‘’Miguel…’’
‘’Ahora me he dado cuenta de que no puedo hacer nada de esto sin ti.’’ (I've now come to realize that I can't do any of this without you). Miguel's eyes flitted to your lips, his voice low and husky...needy. ‘’But I'm a selfish man... y te necesito.’’ (and I need you). Your face looked blank, it's obvious you didn't understand a word he was saying. ‘’Whatever, you wouldn't understand what I'm saying anyway.’’ Miguel dismissed you as he let go of your embrace and attempted to head out.
Before he could move away too far, you exposed your wrist and webbed him, dragging him back to you. His eyes glinted with a surprise yet they were dark with need and arrogance. Miguel was in front of you and your pussy started throbbing. His senses went into overdrive and he couldn't hold back his will to not touch you anymore.
‘'He entendido cada palabra que me has dicho.’’ (I've understood every word you've ever said to me.)
He gripped your face and kissed you hard, it was furious and mean, and he tasted dangerous- just as you expected, just as you had been silently begging him to. Lord, you were sure you'd regret this but right now your body was alive. Miguel's massive hands pulled at your hair to open your mouth wider
'’Miguel...féllame, por favor.’’ (fuck me, please) you uttered breathlessly, his mouth traveling from your bottom lip, chin, and then neck. His lips then went to breathe raggedly in your ear.
‘’You've understood everything I've ever said under my breath about you?’’ He murmured, imploring you to make him understand. He thought he had the privilege of saying things secretly as no one understood his Spanish but him, so he could say things he didn't want to keep inside without anyone else knowing. But you pulled the rug out from under him, you've been fooling him. He hated it. The number of times he's mumbled how much he wanted you under his breath- fuck.
‘’Mhm.’’ You moaned as his hands flew to your hips and slammed you down on his desk with no finesse, planting himself between your soft thighs. ‘’I thought you would've caught me earlier than this chico.’’ You teased- the thought made him angry. His talons seeped out of his skin and ripped at your suit, exposing the bare skin of your waist.
‘’Y me he dado cuenta de lo mojada que te pones cuando estás cerca de mí.’’ (And I've noticed how wet you get when you're near me) The filthy words rolled off of his tongue like velvet. ‘’Don't think you have the upper hand here sweetheart.’’
‘’Even when I want you to fuck me, you still have to fucking argue with me.’’ You growled as your hands burrowed into his long raven hair
‘’Oh, but you like it this way.’’ He smirked in your ear, the cadence of his voice reducing your knees to that of fucking jelly.
"How do you know what I like? You never asked.’’ You flirted back, treading on dangerous waters with the man that is known for having paper-thin patience.
‘’Shut the fuck up.’’ Miguel clawed at your waist and then spun you around so the tops of your thighs were. digging into the translucent glass of his desk. All of a sudden, he placed his large palm just below your neck and shoved you flat onto the desk just with brute force. You were sure you were about to start salivating.
‘’Oh, mierda.’’ He breathed raggedly, his wandering hands ripping at your suit. ‘’Beautiful, dangerous, deadly. Pretending as if you're better than me... like you're not capable of killing.’’ He ripped at your suit some more, exposing more of your skin. Your breath trembled in anticipation as he bent down to whisper hotly in your ear, your ass already feeling his strong- oh. Shit. ‘’You drive my fucking crazy, you know that?’’ He ripped your suit until it was nothing but scraps. You were naked and desperate under him.
‘’Me vuelves loco.’’ (You make me insane).
‘’Stop fucking talking and just take me, Miguel.’’ You whined desperately as your cheek pressed coldly against the glass, your hair splaying all over your shoulders like a waterfall.
‘’Abre la boca.’’ (Open your mouth) He growled like an animal but you were too concerned with your wobbly legs and fraying patience, you replied with a stunned silence, almost jittering like a fool. A frown contorted on Miguel's perfect face, scrunching up his chiseled, picturesque features. His right hand gripped your hair pulling you up to him, his left hand brushed against your lips until he fully force-plunged two fingers in your mouth- saliva coating his fingers as you gagged and choked. Oh, he couldn't wait to get you on your knees- the thought provoked some visceral reaction within him.
‘’'That's it, good girl.’’ He grumbled the affirmation and it sent sparks shooting throughout your body.
Miguel rarely ever praised or complimented so this....fuck. ...this was different, you felt so damn special to him. The ever-so-broody Miguel O'Hara calling you a 'good girl' made an unstoppable moan rip through your throat. ‘’Oh, so you like to be loud? Seems like you can't shut up when you're getting fucked too.’’ He insulted adding insult to injury which just made you sweat.
‘’Is the venom from your fangs rushing straight to your head, Miguel? Or did you not hear what I said?’’ You spat with a distinct sharpness that he'd come to expect from you, he was glad to see he hadn't scared the personality out of you which he had the tendency to do to every single person he met. However, one thing he absolutely couldn't tolerate was backtalking- which you had a tendency to get away with most times but he thought this was the perfect situation to reinstate his rules. Miguel tugged on your hair again like his own personal leash.
‘’Puede que quiera joderte ahora mismo, pero no pienses ni por un segundo que no te haré sufrir en el proceso.’’ (I may want to fuck the shit out of you right now but don't think for a second that I won't make you suffer in the process) His voice was aggressive and heady and you were stiff with arousal, your pussy was aching for him.
‘’Por favor Miguel.’’ You begged softly and it made his gaze narrow and his fangs spike out of his gums.
At times like this, he was glad he had a suit that would come on and off as he pleased- right now he was sweating with need and he was thankful he was able to quickly rid of his suit. Miguel didn't think he would be this hard, but then again you did always have a knack for surprising him when he least expected it. His large palm smacked at your ass and he was happy to see a large indent of the outline he made. Like he had a claim on you.
‘’Miguel!’’ You whined like a bitch in heat.
He didn't listen to your plead, he didn't even tease you into it first, his rigid dick just slipped into your soaking wet heat and he'd never felt this pleasure...ever. You were seriously about to cry. He wanted you to. Your pussy molded around his dick, and you were afraid he wasn't even going to fit- but Miguel always finds a way. He felt so...fucking good. The dull ache inside of your stomach was twisting into a fit of knots and butterflies, he quite literally pulsated inside of you
"Tan apretado cariño.’’ (So tight sweetheart) Miguel's chest rumbled alongside his dirty words. Fucking hell, it was like you were vacuum sealed to his dick. He started rutting into you with abandon, without mercy.
You felt so good. He was so.. good...at this, as much as you hated to admit it. He kept pawing at your body, his talons creating the animalistic tension that much heavier between you.
‘’Mi vida...’’ He purred in your ear, going harder and faster with every pained moan that ripped through your throat like it was an incentive for him to keep going.
‘’So perfect for me. Squeezing me so well...Mierda.’’
‘’You want me?’’ You teased innocently as you twisted your head to look at him through doe eyes. His eyes were roaring red as his grip on your hips seeped into your skin harder.
‘’You know I do.’’ Miguel gritted through clenched teeth, baring his fangs. The sight just made you wetter. ‘’Let me show you how much.’’ He bent down and it felt like he was going to snap you in half, you were so close to reaching your peak. To add insult to injury, he bit down on the skin of your bare shoulder blade and blood dripped from his fangs when he pulled away- your moan in response was that of perfection. Fuck it hurt but it felt amazing.
‘’It's okay, mi vida, come for me. I won't tell.’’ Miguel cooed, showing a tender side to him as he kissed down your shoulder blade to your back. You obeyed his command and came onto him- violently, so fucking hard. A guttural groan rumbled from his chest and your honeyed pants brought him back to life- a cause and effect. He fucked you through your orgasm and allowed himself the privilege of finishing inside you.
Miguel pulled out of you, leaking against the back of your thigh in the process. The scene was filthy, completely obscene and you never thought this would actually happen. ‘’Stay still princesa.’’ He commanded and you actually listened to him. The pressure of Miguel's body left you exposed as your ears pricked up to hear a rustle of draws and a clattering of things behind you. You turned your head around and his hologram suit was back on, it hugged him so fucking tightly your knees were starting to shake again.
You felt his presence again as you felt a cloth clean up the leaks down your thighs. ‘’Muchas gracias, Miguel.’’ Smartass. You flirted and he just smirked back at you, helping you stand up straight and face him when he got you cleaned up. You gazed up at him, quite chipper if you were being completely honest. Maybe a good hard fucking from his was all you needed to straighten you out. His eyes were still greedy as they raked up and down your naked body.
‘’As much as I prefer you like this...here.’’ A hologram covered you and your suit was back on, fine lines and all- well, that's easier than what you have to go through every day to get it sitting nicely.
You gazed at the scraps of your suit that were on the floor. Jesus Christ, he fucked like an animal.
"Nice to know chivalry isn't dead.' You tiptoed so you could get closer to his face and kissed his cheek. ‘’Thanks for the fuck, Miguel. Also by the way, I'm still not letting you kill that kid.’’ You patted his shoulder sarcastically- toying with him even further. You just walked away from him and his platform, you left him in a stunned silence and a blank expression, he scoffed breathlessly as he turned around to see you saunter away so damn confidently.
‘’Princesa no tan rapida.’’ (Not so fast princess) He replied back with a broken half smile. He suddenly exposed his wrist and a web flew to your waist and he instantaneously pulled you back in front of him. The breathless expression on your face was something that needed to be showcased in galleries.
‘’Can't lose me again? Object permanence is a thing you know torombolo.’’ You joked and his brows furrowed slightly in response, his arms wrapped tightly around you.
‘’Don't joke about that mi vida.’’ Miguel's face had a sheen of concern and it made your stomach twist into butterflies. ‘’You could die.’’ His voice came across as more stern than intended but you didn't back away like anyone else would do- you accepted him for who he was.
‘’Oh, Miguel...Please, we'll figure it out. But that kid you're after is probably scared and alone- just like you were, just like I was and I don't want that to swallow him.’’
‘’But every time-‘’ You pressed your pointer finger to stop his lips from moving.
"Shush. I've always trusted you, Miguel, now I don't even think there's a point in me being your higher-up. If we work together, you don't have to be afraid.’’ You caressed his face tenderly and he got lost in the softness of your words and your ever so guileless eyes.
‘’Okay?’’ Miguel turned his head to kiss at your palm as an affirmation.
‘’Okay.’’

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨: Aki Hayakawa
𝙁𝙡𝙪𝙛𝙛
𝘼/𝙉: Chainsaw Man and Blue Lock has revived me from the dead. Anyways, here’s some personal secretary aki headcanons. Please request more because the brainrot runs deep :’)
Tumblr media
– 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙠𝙞 who’s tall and intimidating but, at the same time, very handsome. He has all the girls and guys in the office swooning and pining for just one second of his attention. The moment he steps into the company, taking long strides to your office, all anyone can hear is a chorus of “Hello, Secretary Hayakawa~.” Aki is also diligent in how he works and dresses; there is never a day when his shirt is wrinkled or documents are misplaced. That’s just one of the reasons why you chose him to be your assistant.
– You’re CEO of a multimillion-dollar company at just 25. You were cold and calculated but fair and kind. After all, you didn’t get to where you were by playing nice and keeping your mouth shut. All noises would cease once your heels clicked throughout the office. You were just as intimidating to the public eye as the secretary you hired. That’s just one of the reasons why Aki chose to work with you in the first place.
– However, as similar as you and Aki were, you guys butted heads ALL. THE. TIME. It was to the point where it drove some of the other employees crazy with how much the two of you would argue over such trivial matters. Of course, it didn’t help that none of you were willing to ever lose an argument because of your stubbornness.
– Whatever idea you had, Aki seemed to have the opposite, and whatever opinion he had, you disagreed. So there would just be constant bickering from your private office because not a day goes by that you weren’t at each other’s throats. There were moments when the fights would get so bad that none of you would talk to each other for days, only passive-aggressively passing notes when you needed something.
– When asked why Aki still worked for you even though all you guys seemingly do is argue, he’d nonchalantly shrug and reply, “It pays well enough, I guess.” And when someone would ask why you still haven’t fired him, you’d sigh and say, “He gets the job done.”
– The employees at your company shipped you guys together despite the yelling and words thrown around the office because they saw how you guys would make it up to each other in the days that followed.
– Aki would go out of his way to buy your favorite coffee and pastry first thing in the morning, having it ready and piping hot on your desk when you came in because he knew that you had stayed up the previous night to finish a business deal. He’d replace the withering flowers in your office with your favorite ones that you’d always buy in the floral shop around the corner. Aki would wordlessly place a homemade lunch on your desk when the afternoon came because he knew that you wouldn’t have time to eat today. He’d wait for you when everyone else had gone home because Aki didn’t want you riding the train when it was so late. These were only a few ways he’d apologize to you.
–  You would buy Aki’s coffee mid-day because you knew the fatigue of running errands weighed down on him, and he needed a quick energizer. Then, at lunchtime, when he’s out with Denji and Himeno, you’d stop by the dry cleaners with his suit jacket in hand that was left on his chair, wanting the clothing to be crisp when he returned. Finally, once Aki has dropped you off at your apartment late in the night, you’d reach over to where his hand rests on the gear shift, offering a slight squeeze and a soft smile; you told him to drive safe and text you when he gets home. These were only a few ways you’d apologize to him.
– However, there were days when the two of you would bring each other coffee simultaneously. You’d both stare at the piping hot cup in the other’s hand before reaching out and wordlessly exchanging it. The tip of your fingers would brush together, sending an electrifying tingle down your spine that made you quickly turn away to hide the heat rising in your cheeks. You appreciated how calloused and rough Aki’s hands felt, hardened by years of hard work to get to where he is now. Aki gently smiled because an indescribable feeling bloomed inside his chest when you brushed his hands. He didn’t know what it was; he just knew he liked it. Aki appreciated how soft and supple your hands felt, despite the blood, sweat, and tears you had put into building this company.
– As you and Aki made your way to your respective desks, you couldn’t help but push this feeling into the back of your mind because it was supposed to be nothing… right?

AO3 Summary/Except:
It was like they were young teenagers again; able to make mistakes, able to make amends, able to move on. Really, whoever said that being a teenager would be the peak of their youth was lying – he wouldn’t give any of this up for the world, even with the sins they carried.
He wouldn’t give Nagito up for the world. He was his world.
Author's Notes:
Commission for anonymous! ❤❤❤ Thank you so much for commissioning me! I care about them so much. :"]
As soon as Hajime tumbles through the front door of their cottage, Nagito can’t fight the smile off of his face.
It’s equal parts endearing and concerning how his boyfriend worked so earnestly – whether it was island repairs, new projects, or work from the mainland, Hajime was always the most reliable.
Which was why he believed that their evenings together were the most important part of the day.
Nagito scoots off the edge of the bed and lazily swings his legs onto the cool floor, prosthesis long retired for the day and tucked away safely in their bedside table drawer, energy dialled down to a relaxed buzz. He chuckles lightly at Hajime’s dishevelled state, “Rough day?”
The other man fixes him a tired look that said all that needed to be said, immediately drawing a laugh out of Nagito. The grease marks lining his skin were a sure tell of what had transpired for the day: Kazuichi Souda’s antics. Nagito shakes his head, pushing himself off the bed and padding across the room to press a light kiss onto the cleanest part of his cheek. Still, he knew Hajime didn’t miss the way his nose scrunched up.
Hajime sighs heavily, his shoulders visibly drooping with the action as he cracked his neck a few times to make sure that, yes, he was still alive, and yes, he still had a few bones left in his body. Nagito knew this routine well enough by now, it being a daily occurrence and all, but his boyfriend had never really come home this unkempt before. Right now, his usually bedhead-looking spiky hair looked more like an angry bird’s nest more than anything.
Something had to be done about that, and thankfully, this was where Nagito’s role came in.
He turns away, heading into the washroom and dampening a washcloth with hot water before heading back into their bedroom. He finds Hajime with a frown on his face as he starts undoing the buttons on his shirt, the black grime on his hands spreading to his grey button-up and making him grimace at the mess. He huffs, probably making a mental note to never let Kazuichi goad him into sticking his arm into an engine pipe that had way too much old lubricant to be considered anything but a fire hazard. Or at least, Nagito hopes that isn’t the case. Again.
Nagito brings the washcloth to Hajime’s face, gently wiping away at the grease staining his cheeks and forehead. The other shyly smiles, eyes fluttering shut as he leans into the touch wordlessly. Nagito smiles before playfully pinching his nose, and getting a disgruntled noise and a pout. “Come on, I still have to run a bath for you. You can’t fall asleep just yet.”
As he shrugs off the button up and gets to work on his belt, Hajime sighs again before relenting, “S’pose you’re right. I’m kinda sick of smelling like shit.”
“And I’m sick of you getting grease everywhere you touch. That stuff’s hard to clean off of fabric, you know!” He teasingly chirps, backing away to hold the door open with an exaggerated pose, “Let’s go, tough guy. The bath should be ready by the time we finish showering.”
Hajime shuffles into the bathroom, discarding pieces of clothing one by one and dumping them in a corner on the floor. He didn’t trust his clothes not to stain anything in the half-filled laundry hamper. Nagito turns the faucet of the bathtub and adds the kampo herb sachet into the tub. He makes quick work of his own clothing, pulling his loose blue t-shirt over his head and slipping off his fuzzy pajama pants and underwear and letting them drop to the floor, where he lightly kicks them in the direction of the laundry hamper to put away later.
In hindsight, wearing pants that were warm and plushy was probably a mistake given the heat warnings and suffocating island humidity. They couldn’t even turn on the AC because it triggered his chronic arm pain, so decking their cottage out with a large ceiling fan and other smaller fans had to do the trick. He sighed internally, thinking about how he really owed Hajime a lot for putting up with his little issues. But at the same time, he thinks, if Hajime were in a similar place, he wouldn’t think of it as a burden. It'd simply be second-nature to look after his partner’s needs.
Nagito casts a sideways glance to an unknowing and distracted Hajime with a smile, slightly aware of the way his heart thrummed in his chest just being around the other man. He closes the distance between them and presses a kiss to the side of his bare shoulder and rests his head there, taking Hajime by surprise with a slight yelp before he quickly melted under the saccharine affection.
“You okay?” His voice is soft, concerned in a way that makes Nagito’s heart flutter a little.
“Mhmm,” Nagito hummed, savouring the skin-to-skin intimacy for a few moments longer before he pulled away, “Now let’s head in.”
Hajime pushes the shower curtains aside and holds it there for Nagito as he follows, the latter peering over his shoulder as he twists the faucet knob counter-clockwise and lets the cold water run and pool at his feet until it’s warm to the touch. Nagito flinches at the sudden spray of water overhead as the showerhead bursts to life, soaking them both in seconds. Hajime looks over his shoulder, “Is the water warm enough for you or do you need it a little hotter?”
Truthfully it was a tad bit cooler than his liking, but he can’t expect Hajime to stoop to his level of scalding hot water when he was the kind of freak of nature to take cold showers in the morning and enjoy them. Seriously, he would never let him live that down for as long as he lived. But still, compromises must be made in the name of love, and so he smiles gently and lets the little white lie slip, “It’s perfect.”
He grins back at Nagito and nods although not without the slightest narrowing of his eyes in suspicion. Thankfully, lying wasn’t something he did often, nor did he take pleasure in it – white lies or otherwise.
The corner of the shower had an arrangement of products, most of them Nagito’s after he’d finally started to invest in self-care a little more and took the recommendations the other girls threw at him, with equal parts concern and enthusiasm, of course.
Hajime on the other hand was a hopeless case, making do with a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and calling it a day after just barely lathering on enough soap to be called hygiene. It was partially the reason why he offered to join him for showers in the evenings – the other reason being that he would take any chance he’d get to spend time with Hajime after a long day of work and chores.
He watches Hajime lather up the pineapple body wash gel all over his body, scrubbing behind his ears, under his arms, and thankfully also his legs. Nagito almost had a heart attack when he heard the words ‘the water just sorta gets to it’. He rinses his hands under the stream of water and takes a dab of face cleanser to finish off, handing it off behind him with a scrunched-up expression from a face full of soap suds. Nagito chuckles airily at the sight, taking the bottles one by one and working the soap all over his body as well.
They both wash off, Hajime mostly clean of engine grime besides his hair, as he picks up and studies the shampoo bottle, all the while looking a little woozy from the steam.
“Here, let me do it.” Nagito takes the shampoo bottle and opens it with a swift audible click, pouring the soap into his palm and slightly lathering it before working it into Hajime’s mess of wet hair. They’d done this plenty of times before while showering together, alternating for each other every so often, but he never grows tired of it, never feels like it isn’t special.
He massages Nagito’s favourite coconut-scented shampoo into his scalp in circular motions, the other immediately relaxing at his touch. The sound of Hajime’s pleased groans and hums makes his heart race a little, as foamy grey soap suds slip through his fingers and wash away into the shower drain.
When the water runs clear, free of any grime or dirt, Hajime turns around with a smile to brush a kiss on Nagito’s head, which he takes with a satisfied smile of his own. It’s only then that they finally turn off the water and slip into the warmth of the medicinal herb bath together, hand in hand.

“Darjeeling or chamomile?”
Hajime looks between the two jars of tea leaves and his boyfriend scouring for his glasses, their book abandoned on the edge of their bed. Nagito answers over the sound of clutter without looking up, “Darjeeling today, I think.”
“Got it.” He smiles, setting the tea infuser aside with two teaspoons of leaves, “By the way, your glasses are on your head.”
The words drop like a thwack on the head when Nagito reaches up to find his thin, black-rimmed glasses were in fact on his head and realising he was probably going insane. Hajime scoffs to himself a little, knowing that he’s seen worse and survived.
“Here,” Their fingertips brush as Hajime hands the mug of tea over, setting aside a plate of biscuits on the side table. They sipped their tea in amicable silence for a little while before Hajime piped up again, “By the way, I didn't know we still had Koizumi’s tea biscuits leftover.”
“Ah, they’re actually not leftovers – she came by today when she heard my pain flared up again this morning and dropped a fresh batch off for us.”
Hajime hummed in affirmation before fixing him a tender gaze and settling down beside him on the bed, “Speaking of that, are you sure you’re feeling okay now? I know you said you felt better by the afternoon, but—”
“Hajime…” Nagito’s hand lays atop of his own, a little warm from the heat of the tea mug, “I’m fine, I promise. I just slept on it funny I think, or maybe I nudged it against something in my sleep. I think it’ll always be a little sensitive, so it’s nothing to worry about.”
A huff leaves him in response as he abandons his emptied cup on the side and moves behind Nagito on the bed, cocooning him with his body, “You know I can’t help but worry about you.”
Nagito doesn’t respond, and instead instinctively leans into the warmth and shuffles closer, emptying his cup and setting it beside Hajime’s in a way that lets the handles touch. Hajime doesn’t really understand why he does it, but it makes them both feel happier somehow.
The two of them settled back into silence as Nagito cracked open the book they were reading together; an English post-apocalyptic book about two boys that found love and companionship in each other. It wasn’t difficult English, thankfully – it was straightforward enough for them to both follow along at an easy pace, Hajime reading over Nagito’s shoulder and humming every time he’d caught up to Nagito, who was easily the faster reader of the two. They’d spent countless evenings like this in comfortable silence, their bodies relaxed from a pleasant bath and the somewhat-floral notes of fruit in Darjeeling still coating their taste buds, complemented by the light buttery taste of Mahiru’s biscuits.
Hajime observes the other lost in the book with a smile and brushes a light kiss to the helix of Nagito’s right ear, earning a surprised yet contented noise (not unlike a cat) from the man nestled against his chest. He looks up, surprised and a faint pink dusted across his features, “What’s up?”
“Nothing.” He says simply, “But… have I ever told you how much you mean to me?”
“Hmm…” Nagito slides the bookmark in and sets the book aside, twisting his body to face the other a little better. A cheeky grin rests on his face instead of the flush Hajime was hoping for, “Can’t say that you have. Mind repeating it for me?”
Agh. God. He can’t win against this guy, can he?
Still, two could play at that game. “…Alright then.”
Hajime puts on a fake serious face and leans down, placing a kiss on the top of his partner’s nose. Soft, gentle. And then another on the bridge of his cheekbone, then the faintest mole on the corner of his mouth. Soon enough, a few kisses turned into a dozen small pecks everywhere his mouth could reach from his angle.
And the view? Glorious.
Nagito’s face was burning, heat radiating off of his cheeks and the tips of his ears where Hajime had placed his first unsuspecting kiss were now a bright red.
And then he attacked Nagito’s weakness – his neck.
Immediate reaction, Hajime proudly noted.
Nagito squirmed helplessly and thrashed to the best of his ability, trapped in Hajime’s strong arms as his huffs debilitated into a burst of laughter he failed to suppress, “Okay stop it, stop it, don’t kiss me there, I’m ticklish— Hajime—!”
His pathetic pleas were cut off by a final press of his boyfriend’s lips against his own. Warm, loving, grateful. Hajime felt the other immediately quit resisting, instead exhaling through his nose contentedly and making a pleased hum into the kiss before they pulled apart. Even though they’d been dating for two years and friends for even longer, he still couldn’t quite fight the blush that creeped onto his face every time they kissed.
And his world gazed back up at him with flecks of silver in his eyes, stars scattered across a verdant winter grey as he raised a hand to brush Hajime’s cheek, something like a shy smile adorning his expression. It came as a slow realisation when Hajime found out that he finally knew what it meant to love unconditionally, wholeheartedly.
If Nagito thought that he put his all into his work, he had no idea how much he put into adoring him.

The story of how the scholar met the bounty hunter.
--
Non-linear oneshots featuring you, a university scholar from Naboo who is helping The Mandalorian seek out the Jedi.
read on ao3
Your favorite part of the archives was how no one else ever seemed to be around. Not that you were anti-social or anything – it was just that when doing your research you preferred to not be disturbed. It ruined your flow if you were constantly distracted, and the dim archive room you were in provided you the perfect place to get completely absorbed in what you were doing.
Your coworkers often poked fun at how invested you could get in your work, but you didn’t mind. Sometimes you just needed a few hours alone with your data and charts. It especially helped on days like this, filled with meetings, lectures, and more excuses as to why your thesis argument wasn’t ‘what the university was looking for’.
“Maybe it would be,” you muttered to yourself as you tapped on your console, “if they’d just let me get the data I need.” You knew that your work was important and heading in the right direction, and there was material in the secure physical repository that could prove it. Every time you tried to get approval to access it, though, you were once again met with excuses as to why you couldn’t.
So instead there you were, re-running simulations and cross-referencing variables while simultaneously looking up grants that could fund an expedition or purchase materials that could help with your research. The Empire had censored – and in some cases, destroyed – untold amounts of information from the Old Republic, and even with the New Republic now in charge it was difficult to piece together what you needed. And just like everything else in the galaxy, credits were what opened the doors to getting more data, and being a scholar didn’t exactly leave you rolling in funds.
Other the faint hum of the lights, there was little noise in the archives. A soft, repetitive ‘thump’ could be heard from down the corridor, but you chalked it up to old pipes and vents. Naboo might be a wealthy planet, even by post-Empire standards, but it seemed this space hadn’t quite made it onto the renovation plan yet.
As you continued to watch your data, you noticed that the thump noise seemed to be getting louder. Annoyed, you were just pondering getting up to see where the noise was coming from when the door hissed open and a tall figure stood in the doorway. In the dim light you couldn’t make out many features other than that the person looked vaguely humanoid and was absolutely decked out in silver-grey armor. They sure didn’t look like anyone you knew.
“Uh,” you spoke, clearing your throat. “Can I…help you?” Maybe this guy was lost? No one ever came down here but you unless they got turned around looking for the refresher.
Silence. The man stepped into the room, allowing the door to hiss shut behind him. A sudden pang of unease struck you. Being stuck in an enclosed space with a heavily armored – and armed, you noticed – stranger was not something you were exactly experienced in.
“Do you work here?” The armored man finally spoke. His voice was low, and filtered through the helmet. You raised a brow, and nodded.
“Yeah. Well, technically, I guess.” You were an associate, not yet tenured, but this guy didn’t need to know that.
“Can you read star charts?” He continued. You nodded again.
The armored man pulled out a holo and placed it on the table you were seated at. He pushed a few buttons and the holo switched on and projected a series of star charts. Leaning forward, you hummed quietly as you flicked through them. They were very old star charts from what you could tell - there were planets listed you knew for a fact no longer existed, or at least not by the names they went by now. In addition, the languages used in the charts were a mishmash of several different types, not standardized at all.
“Where did you get these?” You questioned, honing in on a specific system located in the outer rim you had never heard of before. “Some of this data is so old I’m surprised it’s even been uploaded to a digital format. A lot of this stuff only exists in physical archives, repositories-“
“Doesn’t matter,” the man interrupted you. “I’m looking for something important and I need someone who can help me find it.”
Strange, but not unheard of. The university often hosted people looking for ‘things’, and you yourself were in the archives working on finding ways to get the information you needed. Besides, your researched focused on archeoastronomy – ancient star charts were your bread and butter.
“Well,” you mused. “If you tell me what you’re looking for, I can probably help you find it. Might need the help of a protocol droid deciphering some of this text, though.”
If you didn’t know any better, you’d say you saw the armored man flinch. “No droids.”
Frowning, you leaned back in your chair and crossed your arms. “Okay, but it’ll take me a lot longer to parse through this.” Finding the right translations wouldn’t be impossible, but doing it on your own would definitely take time.
“How long?”
Shrugging, you flipped through the charts. “A couple days, maybe?”
“Deal.”
--
Two days later, you found yourself in the archives again, this time accompanied by the stoic warrior. He had refused to tell you his name, describing himself only as a ‘Mandalorian.’ You had heard of the Mandalorian people before, but had never met one. At least you didn’t think so. First times for everything.
To his credit, he seemed content to sit quietly and let you do your work. It still made you a little anxious knowing that he was packing some heavy weaponry, but the lure of the ancient charts (and the stack of credits he had left on your table) were enough to convince you to help him.
He explained that he was looking for a specific planet with some specific ruins on them. He didn’t know the name of the planet, but had an idea of when it would have last been charted and some significant descriptive factors that helped narrow your search parameters. That was the extent of his commentary on the subject, however. You assumed he was searching for some kind of treasure like the others who often came looking for help with star charts and plotting routes.
It was a little awkward to feel like you were being watched while working, but other than that he was a decent companion for the time being. Sometimes he would clean a weapon, and you sometimes took a break to watch him out of the corner of your eye. You had zero experience with weaponry and the academic in you liked the methodical way he took apart the different pieces and then carefully placed them back together.
Your console pinged quietly, bringing your focus back. Looking at the time, you realized it was later than you had thought and yawned. Standing, you stretched, and shut off the screens you were working on.
“How much longer?” The man asked, and you smiled.
“Impatient, huh?”
Shaking his head, the Mandalorian continued to re-assemble his rifle. “Just…on a schedule,” he intoned.
“Well, I’ve almost got it,” you explained, gathering your things and packing them up. “That last breakthrough really helped. If I can extrapolate the orbital decay along with the trajectory of that supernova that blasted it out of the original system, I can cross reference it with modern star charts and get you a couple potential nav-points. It can be done in another half-day.”
That seemed to be satisfactory and the man did not question further. You bid him goodnight and left the archives, eager to greet your bed.
The streets of Theed were relatively safe and quiet, so you usually felt comfortable walking home alone in the dark. Tonight, however, a chill seemed to hover in the shadows that you weren’t sure was just from the change in weather.
Gripping your pack tighter, you increased your pace as you wound through the side streets that led back to your apartment. A clanking sound from behind you made you whip your head around, eyes wide and heart beating in your throat. You didn’t see anything, but it was very dark and you weren’t going to risk it. Turning back around, you began to run, eager to get to the safety of your building.
You were nearing the end of the alleyway when a figure came out of the shadows to block your path. Skidding to a halt, you swallowed roughly and froze. The figure was cloaked in darkness and you could only make out that they were very large – much larger than you. With shaking legs, you began to back up. Turning your head, you tried to plan your escape and whimpered slightly when two more figures melted out of the darkness and began to stalk towards you.
Looking around desperately, you tried to find your voice to scream, shout for help, anything – but it wouldn’t come. You were trapped, and guessed that the three people closing in on you were not there to play nice. Squeezing your eyes shut, you prayed that whatever they were going to do to you would be over quickly.
“Hngh!” A rough voice, and then the sound of bones breaking. Opening one eye, you were shocked to see the Mandalorian standing over the body of one of your would-be attackers. Close up, you could see the man’s lifeless eyes under a cap blazened with an imperial insignia. What the hell?
Barely able to even wonder where the Mandalorian had come from, you stood frozen, and watched as the remaining two attackers tried to circle around you both. The armored man had his back to you, and he shifted so that you were behind him, acting like a shield. Fear was still a sting in your heart – even with all that armor, he was still outnumbered.
The two imperials attacked at once, pulling out stunning sticks and knives to rush your protector. To your amazement, the Mandalorian parried their onslaught effortlessly, moving fluidly despite the heavy armor he wore. He didn’t even pull out a weapon of his own – you knew he had plenty, he had cleaned every single one over the past few days – and instead knocked his foes back with hand to hand combat.
One of them managed to get in a lucky hit, and jabbed the Mandalorian in the side with his stunning stick. Not enough to do any real damage, but enough for him to double over briefly before taking the mans arm and bending it far enough back to break it in the socket. It was also just enough time for the other attacker to dash past him and grab you roughly. He panted in your ear as he spun you around, one arm around your throat, the other pointing his blaster at the straightening Mandalorian.
“Give us the charts,” the man breathed roughly, and you winced in disgust at the sound of his voice. “Or I’ll kill the girl.”
“Let her go,” the Mandalorian replied. “She’s not involved.” Your mind spun with a million questions and scenarios and escape plans, and you desperately wished you were anywhere but there. So much for academics being a ‘safe’ career choice.
“Bullshit,” the imperial spat. “We’ve been trailing you for days, and you’ve spent all of it holed up somewhere with her. What, you have a kink for the brainy ones? Spending some time getting your kicks, fucking her-“
With great effort, you managed to move your elbow just enough to jab your captor sharply in the gut. It wasn’t much, but it was enough for the Mandalorian to find an opening to block the blaster fire with his grieves and grab the man roughly by the throat. You fell away onto your knees, gasping as the Mandalorian smashed the mans head against the wall and let his limp form drop to join his two friends.
Shaking, you tried to get your bearings. The Mandalorian, after surveying his handiwork, walked over to you and offered you a gloved hand. You hesitantly placed your own in his, and he gently pulled you to your feet.
“Are you alright?” He asked, and you nodded. Other than a bruised knee and a sore collarbone, the only other damage was the lingering adrenaline and fear.
“W-what was that? Who are they?” You choked out. Mando turned his helmet slightly, and in the moonlight you saw a blurry reflection of your terrified face in the gleaming metal.
“Imperial assassins,” he replied. “You’re not safe. We need to get off the planet.”
You blanched. “A-assassins? Why the – why was I just attacked by assassins?!” None of this was making sense.
Mando shook his head, and grabbed your hand again, pulling you along. “I’ll explain later. For right now, we need to leave. There’s probably more on their way.”
Not finding the words to argue with him, you followed in a daze, hand closed carefully in his own much larger one. You vaguely noted that even through the leather it was quite warm. That sensation provided a sense of calming, and you started to ground yourself as the two of you made your way swiftly through the streets.
--
A few hours later, you sat in the hold of the Mandalorian’s ship. It was a huge pre-empire thing, some model you didn’t recognize. Mando had ushered you up the ramp, and after leaving briefly to set off, rejoined you as the ship drifted quietly outside the range of the planet.
You sat at against a crate, legs pulled up to your chest as your strange savior gave you the short version of his story. Something about a clan, and a debt, and creed. A baby that was under his care and needed to be returned to his kind – an ancient order of wizards or something. Jedi. The name wasn’t unfamiliar, but from your own experience was the topic of more speculation and legend than fact. The star charts? Stolen from the very repository you had been denied access to. The universe had a sense of humor, it seemed.
“That’s why they attacked,” the Mandalorian concluded. “I noticed them following you home the first day, and knew that it was just a matter of time before they made a move. I waited for you to leave and draw their attention so I could take them out.”
You frowned again. Did you understand that correctly?
“You used me as bait?” You asked, crossing your arms. The man shifted uncomfortably in front of you.
“I- well, I guess you could see it that way,” The Mandalorian sputtered. “I wasn’t going to let anything happen to you-“
You laughed shortly. “No, just let me get cornered by assassins and then sweep me off-planet with nothing but the stuff in my pack.”
Silence stretched between the two of you, and you knew you had made him hesitate. So what if he was a bounty hunter on some sacred quest? You could have gotten a change of clothes, at least.
Letting it go on for a few more beats, you sighed and slapped your hands to your knees. Standing, you put your hands on your hips and looked around. “So. Where do I sleep?”
The Mandalorian tipped his head slightly in confusion.
“For the journey,” you replied. “To the lost planet.”
“You’re…coming with me?” The Mandalorian asked slowly. You nodded in response.
“I haven’t finished the job yet,” you explained. “I still need to refine the results. Besides,” you smiled wryly. “I think I owe you for saving my life…even if it was only in danger because of you in the first place.”
--
 A few hours earlier…
Mando watched carefully from the rooftops, following your form as you weaved your way through the dark city streets. He was careful to keep you in his sights, knowing that sooner or later his targets would make themselves known.
He told himself he was doing this for two reasons. One – he would always take the chance to kill some imps, especially ones trying to find him and take the Child. Two – he would have felt guilty leaving you to a potentially horrific fate for your work in helping him decipher the star charts.
If there was a third reason – the way you chewed your lip when you were deep in thought, or how the lights from the projections made your eyes sparkle – he ignored it. It was just business. Not the way you hummed while you worked, or your clever insights about the ancient movements of lost stars. Just doing the right thing, and sparing his conscience…
Sighing, he tapped his visor, activating the night vision in his helmet. The moon was bright – even from here he could see how it was reflected in your hair – but the alleys you took home twisted and turned and were spotted with dark shadows. He needed to be able to track you closely.
Movement from ahead of you, and a few moments later from behind as well. He couldn’t make out many specifics at this distance, but he knew it was the imperial assassins he had been tracking since he landed in Theed. They were good, to have eluded him for this long – but he was better.
Descending from the rooftop, the Mandalorian began to make his way towards your position. Tonight there would be some casualties, and he was determined to make sure that they didn’t include you.

Thoughts on a potential job for I.M.P. where they hunt their target in a cathedral at night?
Just imagine the 3 little demons silhouetted against big stained glass windows showcasing heavenly/angelic iconography as they chase and stalk their victim until they zero in for the kill, the action and irony comparable to what you'd see in animes. The target could be a clergyman or some choir member or even among the congregation.
(Then again, it might also get Heaven's attention since a murder in a holy place wouldn't go unnoticed. But that's optional!)
Ooh I like this! I don't know why but the general premise plus the mention anime style action instantly reminded me off the opening scene of Bayonetta Bloody Fate which is also a battle taking place in a moonlit cathedral.
Overall I love it! I.M.P would both stand out but also fit in the cathredal's gothic archictecture so a fantastic idea. I kinda want draw something based on this but for now I'll do a little mini fic

I.M.P going after a target in a cathedral at night
I could see the scene opening with the target taking a lonely stroll through the cathedral, possibly locking up for the night before noises of movement are heard, them looking up and around nervously but not seeing anything and moving on as the camera pans up to a trio of sillouetted figures looking like gargoyles resting but when their eyes open and tails swish mischievously, we know it's the Immediate Murder Professionals...
Standing up, Blitz cracking his back for holding the pose, they quickly hop onto the a chandelir, grabbing onto the chain for balance as the platform swings a little, them looking down and sighing in relief at their target not noticing them, Standing tall once more
"Okay team, you hotties remember the plan?" "Yes Sir, we went over it like five times this morning, we remember." "Come on Mox, it's our job, Blitz just wants to make it fun" "Yes I do, and you better have fun, staked this fucking place out after all..."
"Regardless of that sir, we should get back to, you know? Killing him." "Quick to the point, always liked that about you Mox, now Millie, your going in close, Moxxie's got you covered with his rifle, and I got the mood music~"Blitz says as he hops off the chandelir to another and another before making it to a big pipe organ, turning back to his employess giving a thumbs up.
Millie leaves her husband with a kiss before hopping down onto one of the pillars and using one of her swords to slide down as Moxxie readies his rifle at the Clergyman praying at a cross, making sure Millie's in position before aiming and about to pull the trigge-
Before Blitz slams down on the keyboard, the loud sound startling everyone, including the target, Moxxie also missing the shot in surprise who the Clergyman only notices from the smokeing hole on the ground next to him, trying to run before Millie starts chasing him, making sure to keep him in the room, unable to land a throw on him directly due to often grazing his obscuring robe. Moxxie turns to back to Blitz with an infuriuated expression but the Horse lover too's focused on his organ solo to notice, the many pillars and chairs making landing a shot from up here difficult with how quickly the target is moving.
Eventually Moxxie get's fed up and pulls out his knife, cutting the chain making the chandelir crash down as the music rises in intensity, the sound startling the clergyman again and stumbling over a stair making him fall in front of the cross, unable to get up as Moxxie shoots him through the ankle and Millie finishes the job by bringing her axe down, cleaving both the cross and clergy man in two in a truly gruesome sight, the two lovers quite proud of the spectacle they managed despite the franticness for a bit.
Blitz eventually descends joins them, congratulating them on a job well done, and shutting his mouth when Moxxie glares him down for starting on how it took longer then expected, but either way another contract done, and the three go back to Hell after Blitz insists on a selfie with all three of them, Blitz promising to not jam the keyboard down if he ever does hit mood music again.

extra help | gojo satoru
what’s a teacher to do when his student is building up so much cursed energy? help her get it under control, of course.
Tumblr media
pairing: gojo satoru x f!reader
wc: 4.7k
warnings: smut, 18+ (minors dni), teacher/student relations (reader is of age), fingering, oral (f receiving), dirty talk, sir kink, unprotected sex (do not do this), lowkey corruption, squirting, exhibitionism (?), creampie, gojo refers to himself as “teacher” because i said so
note: barely edited, something to ease the brainrot. gojo satoru hollow me challenge.
“Can you maybe, I don’t know, shut the fuck up?”
The jab spews out of your mouth before you can stop it. Your filter is long gone, the thoughts that pop into your head forming into verbal words without the chance to even process them. Once you hear it, you mentally slap yourself. Now you just look like an asshole.
“Jeez, no need to be a bitch about it,” mutters Nobara. She rests on the concrete steps on her elbows, appearing utterly disinterested with her head tossed back and eyes closed, soaking in the fresh air.
“I’m not being a bitch.”
“Yes, you are.”
“I’m not!”
“You kind of are,” Megumi says quietly, shrugging slightly when your incredulous expression finds his to be stoic and unmoving. He leans down to scratch behind one of his dog’s ears. His nonchalance boils your blood even further, effectively working you up past your melting point. A bitter laugh leaves your mouth.
“...You motherfucker-”
“Good morning, everybody!”
You sigh, lips hanging open with the rest of your insult frozen where it was interrupted. From over the small hill behind you, Gojo Satoru greets everyone with a bright energy you aren’t capable of returning this early in the day.
You try your best to shake it off. The other students wave back happily as you sulk, aimlessly stretching your arms over your head in an attempt to push out the thousand things running through your mind, not one of which you’re capable of dealing with.
And maybe it is a good morning - the sun is out, the air is cool, there’s not a breeze passing by to mess up your hair. It’s a lovely day to be training. Megumi has been walking his dogs around the field, Yuuji has been racing himself from one end to the other, meanwhile the others take turns sparring. The springtime weather is rewarding, which is why it’s such a shame you can’t enjoy it.
Gojo reaches up a hand to lift one side of his blindfold. Though he’s standing all the way over on the steps, you can see his eyes clearly, crystalline blue and staring with scrutiny. The man leans forward into his gaze, and the way he’s inspecting you soon irritates you further.
“What’s with all the cursed energy?” he asks, letting his blindfold fall over his eye again.
Yuuji perks up at the comment from where he’s been sitting after his run, pulling out blades of grass between his fingertips. “So it’s not just me?” he pipes up, pushing himself up to his feet. He seems relieved, turning his attention to you. “I thought maybe you just had a bad day but it seems like it’s seeping off you all the time now.”
Your lips press into a thin line as your eyelids droop in annoyance, trying to think up a reasonable answer quick. Unfortunately, you don’t get the time to do so.
“I don’t need to see it to feel it,” Maki adds. She finishes tying up her laces, objectivity unmoving with the deadpan spreading across your features. Your jaw tenses. “Didn’t want to say anything in case it would make you angrier.”
“Too late!” you snap, huffing as you place your arms over your chest. The number of eyes on you has your cheeks burning, and paired with your current vexation, makes you feel even worse.
“Well, what are you angry about?” Yuuji asks.
“I’m not angry about anything.”
“That sounds a little defensive,” Gojo comments.
“You seem frustrated, that’s all.” Yuuji looks at you with a genuine curiosity that makes it hard to be mad at him. His doe eyes couldn’t possibly imagine what the real issue at hand is.
“Yeah, she’s frustrated all right,”  Nobara juts in. Her tone is whiney and annoyed, and you hope the glare you send her will shut her up, but she acts as if she doesn’t see it, only looking down at her nails in distaste. Then comes the zinger. “It’s because she hasn’t gotten laid in months.”
“That is not true!” you yell, but the obvious rage bubbling out of you gives it away.
“Cursed energy can build from that?”
“It would explain a lot.”
“That sounds definitely defensive.”
“Shut up!” you shout, throwing your hands over your face to hide your cheeks burning in embarrassment. Then you’re sitting back on the field, hanging your head low over your knees. Quietly, you mutter, “You promised you wouldn’t say anything.”
☆☆☆
“You wanted to see me, sir?”
The walk here had been nerve wracking enough. Your heart had been stuck in your throat since the track this morning, if not from the sheer embarrassment of Nobara telling everyone you were sexually frustrated, then surely from the way Gojo had asked you to meet with him later in an old classroom rather seriously before walking off.
It scared you half to death upon hearing it, and just thinking about it scared the other half, so you’re hanging on by the thinnest of threads. The others comments hadn’t helped either, teasing about the frightening methods he’d use to dispel the energy, or how he’d berate you for being so stupid, or whatever else the maniac of a man had to offer.
Gojo leans back lazily in his chair, long legs thrown over the desk for his comfort and leisure. He stretches, letting out a satisfied groan with his arms straightened behind his head as you close the door behind you.
“About time you got here. Been waiting forever.”
The lights are off, but evening sun pours in through the wall of windows that look out over the courtyard to brighten the room. He tosses a small apple plush above him with a smooth flick of his wrist, catching it on its down arc with ease. It looks like a marble with how it sits in his massive palms.
“Well, this wing is on the other side of campus,” you swallow, fiddling with your fingers absentmindedly. That reminds you...“Why are we this far, anyway?”
He sighs, placing the toy back down at the top of his desk and resting his chin on his palm. You can feel his eyes on you through his blindfold. “To solve your problem, of course.”
“My… my problem? No, I don’t have any problems,” you say with a shake of your head as genuine as you can muster, a nervous smile flashing across your expression as he stands. His hand trails along the desk as he moves around it. When you get the feeling he doesn’t believe you, you start again, “If it’s about what Nobara said, it’s really no big deal-”
“While you’re a talented sorcerer, you’re not a very good liar.” He comes to a stop in front of you, towering over your small frame. His head is turned down toward you but you refrain from making eye contact. Trying to maintain your composure, you look straight into his chest and then avert your eyes to the sid, looking anywhere else in the room but him - the chalkboard, the windows, the posters on the wall - that is, until he takes your chin in his hand and tugs your face up to look at him directly.
He’s taken off his blindfold, the black cloth crumpled in his palm and already tossed to the floor.
The way you’re staring at him, that desire that lies just below the fear, has his dick tenting in his pants. When he focuses, he can see the cursed energy radiating from your body, dark and cloudy as it surrounds you. “Yuuji’s right, it’s practically seeping from you,” he coos, eyebrows drawn together in concern.
He drinks in your apprehension with a sadistic sort of delight, and you don’t miss the feel of his eyes as they trace down your body. “My student is struggling,” he says tenderly, tapping his index finger along your cheek lightly. “What kind of teacher would I be if I didn’t help?”
He eats up the way you look at him, swept away and hazy, your brain turning to mush at the sound of his voice. Heat pools in your panties, and the subtle manner in which your thighs shift against each other is not lost on him.
The tension in the air is electrifying. Leaning down to your ear, he says what’s been on his mind for weeks. “Don’t think I can’t hear you at night, touching yourself, trying so hard to make it go away on your own.”
His words leave your throat dry and stomach churning. Your face burns, thinking of him listening to your pitiful attempts to get off. Clearly, the sleepless nights of trying to cum, letting slip the small whimpers you couldn’t care to hold back, hands buried in your panties and writhing in your bed sheets, were no secret to anyone but you.
You’re almost mortified. You would be, if it wasn’t for your hot teacher standing in front of you, smiling as he remembers how pretty you sounded, offering to fuck the shit out of you to sate your frustration.
And god, just how pretty you sound. He’d never admit it sober, but the times he’s taken “random” late night walks around the buildings that have ended up at the outside of your bedroom door are far too many to count. Palming himself through his trousers, panting as he pictures you just through the slab of wood exactly how he plans on having you now.
“I...I don’t know if we should be doing this,” you mumble in a moment of clarity, gaze flickering to the window in the door that lets you see into the empty hallway just outside. Swallowing hard, scenarios of your classmates walking by, peering through, clouds your head. “What if someone…”
“They’re on the other side of campus, remember?” he teases. His fingers slide back along your jaw, brushing your hair from your forehead before settling to cup the side of your face. “You can make all the noise you want out here.”
Heat spreads through your core and inner thighs accompanied by a visible shiver, a pleased grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. The proximity alone is making you wet. His presence is overwhelming with the unimaginable power he holds over you.
His neck tilts down to reach you, hovering with his lips not a breath away from yours. Gojo waits. Tentative, you press your mouth to his and your eyes flutter shut, feeling him smile as his hands make contact with your hips. He’s gentle and slow, his lips pillowy and soft against yours, moving carefully as if not to scare you away.
He muffles a timid whimper with his mouth and takes the lead, kissing you harder and pulling you into a firm lip lock before spinning you around and walking you backwards toward the desk. Hesitant hands reach up to his shoulders, something Gojo senses immediately, shy hands working up the confidence to splay over his broad shoulders. He knows you so well by now - there’s a reason you’re his favorite student.
“Let me help, princess,” he insists, breaking away to quell your uncertainty. “You know I’m the only one who can.” Gojo’s voice is hypnotizing, his promises filling your head with a desiring haze.
Your tiny, timid fingers hanging around his neck, crawling up his nape as if searching for safety, have him reeling. He might just devour you, so cute and innocent and willing in front of him.
You’re melting into his touch as his hands squeeze your hips, rubbing up your sides until they lay a firm grasp on your hips, sitting you fully on the desk. His touch is teasing and featherlight as he drags it up your calves, hiking up your skirt to get where he wants to be, situated right between your thighs.
“None of the other guys fuck you the way you need to be fucked, right?”
He may be cocky, but it’s for good reason.
Gojo Satoru is older, he’s experienced, he knows what he’s doing. He knows you, in fact, more than you think. Don’t be fooled - he sees you sneaking off campus, sees the texts you send to the boys in the nearest town, overhears how you talk to them over the phone when you think no one is listening. He also sees how disappointed you look every time you return from one of your escapades.
You’re mature for your age, but no one is willing to fuck you like it. Except him, of course.
A large hand cradles the back of your head to keep kissing you. His mouth is ravishing, absolutely eating up the feeble mewls that escape you. Deft fingers unbutton your uniform with ease and slip it down your shoulders to reveal your chest as if he’s done it a thousand times.
He moves to unclasp your bra, but is surprised to meet your bare skin. He pulls back from your mouth to meet your eyes, and you already know what he’s thinking with the way he looks down at you, head tilted back with a dark mirth.
“No bra?” he inquires, rolling your perky buds between his fingers, and your lack of verbal response, that guilt in the slight raise of your eyebrows, tells him everything he needs to know. “Naughty girl. Makes me think you were expecting this.” He makes you purr like a kitten, free hand kneading at your chest, coaxing out sweet little noises that make his dick throb in his pants.
You inhale sharply at a particular tweak of your nipple that has your body tingling, arching into him. “Sir, I-”
His mouth is on your neck, sucking on that sensitive spot below your ear, just next to your jaw. The feel of his teeth gently scraping down sends chills through your shoulders and down your back, subconsciously tilting your head to the side and exposing more to him, inviting him to your body even further.
“It’s okay, you can tell me how bad you need my cock,” he says against your skin.
Your body flushes hot beneath him. A hand cups your clothed core. The friction has your hips lifting in desperate motions for more, pushing against his fingers for some kind of relief.
“Poor thing, too horny for your own good,” he says, peering down at you. He tugs at the tiny, delicate bow sewn into the lace band of your panties, a smug expression passing over his features. “But don’t worry, teacher’s here to make you feel better.”
He hooks his pointer finger underneath the center of your panties and pulls it up, forcing the fabric taught against your slit between your folds, urging a cry to fall from your lips. You’re absolutely aching for more, pussy desperate for contact as your hips buck. His opposite thumb goes straight to your swollen clit where it bulges through the thin cotton, reducing you to whines as he applies light pressure.
“So sensitive,” he says with a teasing lilt in his tone, caught between looking at your pussy and your dazed expression. “You want my fingers?”
He knows he’s supposed to be helping you, but he can’t stop himself with how cute you look like this. He’s already thinking of just how far he can push you, just what he can get you to admit to him.
“Yes, please,” you’re begging, pulling your lips under your teeth, and how can he say no? He has no other choice but to indulge you.
He pulls your panties to the side and finally, his long, thick fingers sink inside you without warning, pushing a lewd moan from your throat.
He groans at the way you pulse around his digits. Your walls suck him right in. “Fuck, look at your pretty little cunt. Feels good, huh?”
Your mouth falls open as you nod, staring at him through half-mast, glassy eyes. Light amusement covers his face as he works your walls diligently, curling up and massaging that spongy spot he knows you like from the sounds you’re making.
“Yeah, I know it does. Need it so bad, don’t you?”
“Yes, ah, need it so much,” you whine. At this point, you’d follow his every command, answer his every question, if it means he’ll keep doing what he’s doing. He connects his lips to yours again, swallowing up the noises that leave your throat, before moving down. He trails his mouth over your sensitive, flushed skin, burning to the touch as he leaves harsh, bruising marks behind. He’s kneeling down and throwing your legs over his shoulders without hesitation.
He has you desperate and shameless with how he’s making you feel. It doesn’t matter that he’s your teacher, it doesn’t matter that you’ll have to face him in class after the fact, all that matters is how hot and aching your core is, how bad you need him there to fix it. “More, sir, p-please.”
He groans at the name you’ve given him, that you’re addressing him by so earnestly. He never even asked you to, so when it spills out of your mouth so submissively, he can’t help the way it goes straight to his cock. “So polite, aren’t you? Let me hear you, be specific.”
His fingers leave you clenching around nothing as he pulls them out of you, watching the string of slick stretch until it breaks. He slips them right into his mouth, licking your arousal off of his fingers, humming in delight.
You’re fixated on his glossy, wet lips, entranced by the slight smile to his words. “Please, your mouth,” you plead breathlessly through a gulp.
He presses a chaste kiss to the plush of your thigh, eyes flicking up to meet yours. His lips ghost over the tops of your knee socks and nip at the slight pudge that squeezes out.
“Since you asked so nicely,” he murmurs. Then, he’s diving in, latching his warm, wet mouth onto your pussy. You feel yourself gush under his lips as his tongue laves harsh strokes against your entrance. He has you quivering, your hips moving on their own accord over his face.
You squirm under his relentless tongue, swiping through your slick and spreading it all over your inner thighs. He laps at your fluttering hole before suckling your clit into his mouth, hot tongue flicking over it before releasing with a playful pop.
He thrives off of the whimpers leaving your mouth. A loud moan tears from you as his fingers plunge into you again, hands shooting to his snowy locks to ground yourself. You’re throwing your head back, keening in the firm grip he has pushing back your leg, his tongue swiping at you expertly while the pads of his fingers curl up into the spot you need him at, keeping his head pressed tight to your drooling cunt.
Pointed flicks of his tongue target your clit, puffy and sensitive, and you can’t help the way your hips buck up for more, babbling nonsense. His firm muscle prods at your hole before flattening and licking wide and short strokes up your folds.
“Aw, you wanna cum, don’t you? Gonna cum for me like a good girl?”
You only have the strength to nod, eyes squeezing shut and your lips parted in choked breaths.
“Look at me,” he commands sternly, and your lids are prying open immediately, struggling to keep your gaze on him with the pleasure he’s relentlessly forcing on your body. His plump lips are lustrous with your arousal. “Go ahead. Cum.”
His eyes bore into you as your face contorts, body tensing all over as you tip over the edge. That coil in your stomach which Gojo has so masterfully built snaps like a rubber band, shattering your mind as pleasure ripples through your body. You’re still as your release surges through you, making him moan against your pussy.
“That’s it, there you go,” he says with a growl as you take your first breath after the inhibiting pleasure fades, eyes darkening as he watches you, keeping pressure on your nub with his thumb, smooth strokes working you through your high.
He carefully helps you drop to your feet, rubbing soothing circles into your hips, planting kisses to your temples before spinning you around to face the desk. You’re wobbly, but it’s nothing he can’t compensate for with his natural strength.
“Gonna take such good care of you,” he mumbles, large hands exploring the expanse of your back. He pushes you down, gentle fingers trailing up your spine until they find their hold on your hips like they were meant to be, loving how pliant you are beneath him.
The anticipation has you dripping, heart pounding as he flips up your skirt again, pussy aching to be filled. You hear the tugging of his trousers down to the floor, and a hefty exhale as he gives himself a few strokes in his palm.
His cock, hot and heavy and hard, presses into you slowly. You feel his girth immediately, cunt stretching deliciously to accommodate his size. It’s instant relief, finally the pleasure you’ve been desperate for, a drug you have to be careful of or you might just get addicted.
“Fuck,” he groans lowly, “So fuckin’ tight for me.”
You’re stuffed to the brim, focusing on how full you are, his fingers massaging the flesh of your ass as he gives you a moment to adjust. He feels his self-restraint thinning as you squeeze him. He’s gonna make you drool for him, make his cute innocent student into his little whore, make sure teacher’s the only one who touches you like this.
At first, his pace is slow and steady, sensual pumps that expertly drag against your gummy walls. You can feel his tip spreading you open, every burning curve and vein and ridge of his head as your pussy molds to him. But once your legs start shifting back for more, he speeds up the rocking of his hips, fucking you brainless on his cock.
“How we feeling, princess?” he pants. He’s the only thing you can think about, mind scrambled from the white hot feel of being fucked so well.
He doesn’t have to ask to know - the string of heedless whimpers that you make are evidence enough, on top of the obscene squelches that echo every time he pounds into your sopping cunt. He pulls your wrists back from where they cling to the desk, white knuckled, to your sides. A strong arm snakes around your front, pinning your arms and waist close to his chest, caging you in while the other seeks purchase on your breast.
“F-Fuck, I- ah - so good, sir,” you sob, feeling your brain blank with the way his grip moves up to your neck, expertly pushing into the sides to cut off your blood flow. It’s dizzying, your pussy tightening around him for more.
And then he stops.
You’re about to whine, your walls fluttering around him, begging him to move, when his hand reaches to cover your mouth. He shushes you gently, snapping quietly towards the door.
Someone is calling your name outside. “Hellooo? Hey Y/N, you over here?” It’s Yuuji, pacing the upper floor, walking straight down the hall and soon to pass the very door.
Your heart jolts in panic - why would he come looking for you? Why would anyone? The whole point of being out here was so that no one would come, right?
“Sorry to go back on my word, princess,” Gojo whispers. A wave of his hand creates a small masking barrier in front of the window, but it does nothing to hide the sound. “Gonna have to keep quiet for me. Can you do that?”
You nod your head, wiggling back against his hips pressed hard and unmoving to your ass. He pulls out slow and thrusts back, mindful of the noise of contact. It takes all your focus to bite back your moans.
“Don’t want your classmates seeing how slutty you are for a good fuck, do you? What if they walked in, saw you like this on your teacher’s cock?”
The thought has your hole constricting his length. You can already envision Yuuji’s shocked expression as he stares you down, his respected senior, nothing more than a babbling mess as Gojo Satoru fucks you raw in an empty classroom. The man behind you holds back a laugh.
The footsteps pass without the hint of something much filthier than extra help transpiring beyond the thin walls. You think you might have even seen a tuft of pink hair whizz by in the corner of your vision - whatever the matter, he’s gone, and you can finally catch your breath.
“Dirty girl,” Gojo rasps from behind you, slamming into you roughly, a sinister smile tugging at the corners of his lips while his fingers force themselves into your mouth, “you - hah - you fucking love it.”
That spring in the base of your tummy starts to coil taut, rising faster than ever. “Love it,” you choke, stimulated tears forming at your lash line, “love it so much!”
His pace is relentless, your slick gushing all around him. He’s building you up just to break you down, the only one who can help you take the edge off.
“Tell me what you want,” he says through gritted teeth, “I’ll give it to you.”
Holding you tight to his chest with locked arms, he completely covers your body with his tall stature, inescapable and confining.
“Fuck, wanna - wanna cum so bad, so bad, sir.”
His large hand trails its way over your waist, soft fingers moving down, down, until they slip right over that little sensitive bundle at your front, cool and wet, that has your breath catching audibly in your throat.
Gojo places his mouth just behind your ear, tone soft and sultry. The pad of his index finger rubs firm circles over your swollen, aching clit. It elicits a filthy sound from you that makes his cock twitch inside you. “Right there, huh?” He feels you clench as your legs tremble beneath him.
Your climax crashes over you in hot, unforgiving waves, tightening your walls and creaming all over every inch of his length. “Come on, give it all to teacher,” he encourages through heavy pants, making your skin prickle, and it’s just what you need. A chorus of loud, high pitched, breathless moans tumbles from your mouth as you ride it out.
You’re drenching his fingers, making a mess as your squirt drips down and coats his cock, making him growl into your hair. He coaches you through it, stringing out his praises, “Just like that, mhm, good girl.”
His eyes fall shut as your cunt suffocates his cock, feeling his hips stutter as you suck him in. With a guttural, hungry groan, he’s burying his load in your waiting hole. He snaps against you once, twice more, hard and quick as he starts to come down.
A moment passes to catch your breaths, heartbeats beginning to slow in tandem. Gojo nuzzles his face into the back of your neck and sighs before placing an affectionate kiss there.
Your legs are jelly beneath you so he’s careful when he releases his grasp, slowly turning you around to face him and sit back on the desk.
“You alright?” he asks, wiping away the wetness under your eyes.
It’s safe to say that you’re relieved, in more ways than one. Your shoulders feel lighter and as does your chest, like everything you’ve been shackled to has been lifted off with a good fuck.
“Yeah, much better.” There’s a tired grin to your words.
He wipes away the sheen of sweat that has collected on his hairline and reaches over you to grab a few tissues off the desk. He’s gentle as he cleans you up, dabbing up sweat and cum from where it drips down your thighs.
“You should get some rest. I’ll get you out of class tomorrow morning if you need it. Make up an excuse or something.” He pulls up his own trousers and helps you button up your top again, then lowering you back to the floor so you can be on your way.
“Let me know if you ever need any more assistance,” he winks, patting the top of your head. He smooths down a few stray hairs, putting you back together in at least a somewhat presentable way. “My help is always available to students that need it.”
Because while all that cursed energy may be under control, your relations are far from over.

[11:38 pm] you gasp for air, brain barely registering the pain in your torso with the adrenalin running through your veins. the crimson of your life essense spills further onto the asphalt beneath your limp body.
“go! go! go!” your assailents yell to one another as they scatter, leaving you to bleed out on the pavement of the alley. you wonder how you were led to this moment, recalling how people whispered of johnny suh’s notorious contracts. deals with johnny suh were often compared to deals made with the devil. you’d agree to a certain extent - johnny suh was indeed a ruthless man, but not cold hearted like satan. johnny suh was more like lucifer, looking to better his life only to be cast out and demonized by those around him. you suppose you were one of very few to see it this way as he usually was not so lenient with individuals in his deals.
your vision was starting to blur when you heard footsteps approach, making you focus on them while you fought to stay alive. they were light, no rush in their step even as a man lay dying before them. someone made their way into your line of sight, though you couldn’t make them out with how darkness threatened the edges of your vision. you thought you heard them click their tongue at you, but not in a pitying way as you would assume an enemy would do. it was more of a noise of observance as they peered upon your body, peeking your curiousity. you watched a shift in their blurry facial features like they were speaking to you, but the darkness drowned out what they told you.
“rest well.”
Tumblr media
your body ached as you stirred, eyes peeking open slightly only to close shut at the harsh white walls. upon opening your eyes again, you blinked away the harshness of the white around you to make out a hospital room. your brain began to register the steady beeping of the heart monitor beside your bed, tracking your heartbeat. you were alive. you didn’t know how, but you were.
“oh, you’re awake,” a soft, cheery voice pipes up from the doorway to the room. you look over at him - the white lab coat draped over his white button up and pastel pink sweater combo indicating he was your doctor, “i’m jungwoo, if you couldn’t tell, i’m your doctor this visit. its nice to meet you.”
the name rang a bell to you - kim jungwoo was a high ranking member of nct’s mafia. he did various odd jobs and was nct’s resident doctor while kun was away.
“uh, yeah, nice to meet you,” you replied, timidly, obviously hesitant about this whole endevor so far. jungwoo smiles at your introduction before moving to where your vitals sit beside you. he begins to check the iv embedded in your vein as he talks at you.
“yknow, i was quite surprised when ten brought you in. we all thought for sure you were dead,” jungwoo rambles, “can’t believe he wouldn’t tells us why he brought some runner half dead to us, but i guess that’s ten for ya - gotta keep up that assassin facade.”
“ten hyung brought me here?” you inquire incredulously. you know ten from when you were a mediator - he’s a high ranking member of wayv, nct’s sister group based out of china. he’s been present for some discussions between wayv’s leader and exo-m’s when it was still a surviving unit. you find it sort of unnerving any of wayv would be in korea with how successful the group is in their country - something big must be happening.
jungwoo turns to you, eyes sparkling with mischief and curiousity, and you have a feeling you shouldn’t have said anything to the unassuming boy.
“‘hyung?’” he pushes you, making you wish you had kept your mouth shut. before the hazel haired boy can get anymore information out of you, his phone chimes from the pocket of his doctor’s coat. he checks it and a frown replaces his cheery smile though it returns after he pockets the device again, turning to you.
“your vitals look good considering you were shot three times in the chest,” jungwoo tells you, “you’re lucky the bullets exited your body and didn’t hit any vital organs. we’re gonna keep you for another day to monitor you. in the mean time, i’ll let taeyong know you’re awake now - he’ll want to see you since you failed a super important task.” you frown at the mention of nct’s head honcho as well as jungwoo’s singsong voice about your impending doom. with a wave and a smile, the boy dismisses himself back out into the hallway from wence he came.
you heave a sigh of relief you didn’t realize you had been holding in in jungwoo’s presence, relaxing against the itchy hospital blankets. your eyes flutter over to the windows only for you to realize there weren’t any. huffing slightly, you lay your head against your pillow.
“what kind of hospital doesn’t have windows?” you pout to yourself. it isn’t more then twenty minutes later that you’re startled awake slightly by the door to your room shutting. you turn to your new visitor and relax when you see the lengthy figure of johnny standing in the doorway.
“welcome back to the land of the living,” he tells you, his carefree smile etched across his face as per usual, “i hope jungwoo left your ear drums intact from all his chatting.”
“uh, yeah,” you nod, “i didn’t mind it.”
“you say that now, but eventually his voice will be like nails on a chalk board,” johnny chuckles.
“you say that like i’m going to be around him a while,” you point out, grip tightening nervously on the blankets at your waist. johnny frowns at you, a rare sight for the forever faux happy male.
“c’mon,” johnny changes the subject, pulling out a wheelchair from the corner of the room for you. his nimble fingers latch onto your elbow while he carefully removes the iv from your bloodstream.
“where are we going?” you inquire, hesitant to go with him given the circumstances. pushing a few buttons on your heart monitor, johnny tugs off the patches hooking you up to the machine, residue from the adhesive staying behind. he helps you into the wheelchair before he responds, already beginning to push you down the hall, “to see taeyong.”

Tenacity
This ended up being a lot longer than intended but it's done enough for me to be satisfied with it.
Consider it a sequel to Weak
Combat was never something to be weak in. Be it blunt force weapons or ballistics, everyone knew something. Whole groups were skilled in things that could make a normal man’s head spin.
And then there was you. And you knew nothing.
You’d been born into this world with only your hands and basic know how for survival. There was no chance if you ran straight into combat with the nothing you had. Even if you did the only object even close to a weapon was the shovel you kept with you.
The handle had snapped like a twig, leaving you with the nothing you had come into this with.
There was no way to tell when they’d come. No warnings, no signs; only an oppressive presence that forced every Bandit into hiding and slaughtered every Zed.
The Agency was efficient after all. And you were no different.
Why they were here didn’t matter, only that they were. Like a plague set upon an unsuspecting town doomed for destruction. The hideaway you’d made out of the abandoned factory had fallen within hours of their appearance; an effort for supplies or scavenging you’d assumed. And once they’d found your nest of stolen goods and ratty furniture you’d bolted, nothing to your name except the shovel you’d snagged on the way out.
Clearly, that hadn’t mattered in the slightest.
The gunfire still hadn’t stopped. They were still coming.
You’d hidden in the only place you’d hoped they wouldn’t dare invade, their own abandoned facility. It was far more run down than the factory; machinery that once calculated to the extremes shattered to bits on the floors, testing chambers long silenced, and labs in ruins so decrepit nothing could even begin to repair them.
And the bodies half disintegrated with rot strewn about gave you little solace, as their stench permeated the entire facility.
A door activated from down the hallway, sliding open with a hiss.
They would find you, hidden behind a cluster of desks in some lab far away from the entry. It had been Hell to get back here and you had no doubt it would be equally Hellish to get out. The only open doors had been either blasted or left open by whoever had stormed this place before you.
One of them being at the end of the hallway, now left occupied by whoever had just come in.
Heavy footsteps tromped the corridor. You held your breath, mouth covered with your hands.
Another door was opened, somewhere opposite to yours. And still they came; one after another each room was searched, like a countdown to the inevitable.
A dark shadow loomed from the hallway, stretching through the long broken in door and over the desk you hid behind. Plastered against the wall as an omen of death.
There was no way out now.
Whoever it was stepped into the room. It was strange, you’d briefly noticed over the pounding of your heart, there was no swarm of steps behind the first. He was alone.
Why? Where were the others?
Footsteps thundered in the mostly empty lab. Containers that possibly once held important testing fluids and had long been smashed onto the ground crunched underfoot as the Agent wandered from one side to the other. Clattering came from one end of the room, opposite of your hiding space, furniture being disturbed in his curiosity. Briefly you’d peeked around the very edge of the desk; you could barely catch a glimpse of the him, let alone decipher what he was doing, but the barrel of what was definitely a very large weapon strapped across his back deterred you from any further investigation.
It was so strange, this was far too deeply wedged into the building for it to be mere coincidence. Was there something they’d left here? Something in this old, musty lab that you’d just so happened to take refuge in? A weapon? A lost experiment?
Loud clunking echoed in the mostly empty room as something large was righted. Something shifted, something moved. It was always something, none of it you could decipher. Only that it was there.
And it was getting closer.
It was only now, in this lieu of clattering and banging just out of your peripherals that you noticed this was the only sound you could hear. No shouting, no explosions. Only the footsteps traversing this room, and the commotion he was making.
Why, of all times, had the gunfire stopped the moment this Agent had entered the room?
There was no time for ruminating. At best you had mere seconds before you were discovered, an uncomfortably loud shattering of glass from just a handful of feet away nearly jumping you out prematurely.
But where would you go? Where would you hide now when the only safety had already been compromised?
A shuffle, a twitch of a limb that you weren’t paying enough attention to—exactly how didn’t even cross your mind as the desk shifted just so, dislodging a precariously set lamp. It tumbled to the hard floor, shattering to pieces.
All noise stopped. Your breathing followed.
If you weren’t screwed by coming here, you were now.
Whatever was in his hands clattered to the floor, forgotten entirely as stomping footsteps approached at a rapid pace. You didn’t have time to scramble away, to hide again before he was upon you, the desk squealing as he yanked it from your back.
Cold, angry red glared down from very familiar goggles, and fear turned to horror.
Hank. He had come back.
How was he even alive in the first place? Hadn’t he died in your arms?
The mere reality of his presence before you was as horrifying as it was clarifying. Hank still being alive was a very good implication of why the noises from the rest of the building had come to a halt. May have even been the cause for them even, since you didn’t recall any resistance forces in this ghost town.
Funny how adrenaline clouds memories when one’s wrapped tightly in terror.
You’d scrambled away, far enough that the piping on the wall behind the desk dug into your side. He watched, still and silent as death while the flickering glare of the hallway light obscured his eyes behind the lenses of his goggles.
Why had he come back? For you? To finish what he’d started? To burst your skull like he had intended upon your first meeting?
The silence was deafening, not even the whisper of cloth as he stood from hunching over your hiding place. Still staring at you he stepped around the overturned furniture, uncaring of the crunch of the lamp beneath his boot. A bright flash across the barrel of the heavy machine gun strapped around his back was enough to have you flinching away, arms raised.
Years of running, hiding in the dark, over in just seconds. You could flee the Agency and scurry out of sight of the Bandits all you needed, but here it was hopeless.
When he crouched down to your height you covered your eyes, cowering.
Nothing escaped Hank. Not even you.
All cognitive thought stopped as something very large plopped onto your head.
Your eyes snapped open behind your hands. The weight shifted, fingers of a hand—a very large hand—entangling into your hair.
Was he going to crush you with his bare hands? To throw you like you weighed nothing and toss you to your death?
The grip shifted, pushing your head back. Your hands fell away from your face and into your lap, shaking as he manhandled you.
He was just staring at you, an arm reached out to hold you by the head. The light from the hall was muted behind his utterly massive frame, barely any reaching around the width of his shoulders just to kiss the edges of the goggles. A foul stench of blood wafted into your face as he breathed, a drop splattering against your leg in his leaning over you.
He was monstrous. He was dangerous. Every nerve in your body was firing double and you knew if you were to run, he would catch you.
He was stroking your face.
In your haze of panic the hold on your hair faded, his touch trailing down. It wasn’t gentle, the harsh scrape of his nails down your temple causing a twitch to jerk in your neck as his fingers traced baselessly across your cheek. It was senseless patterns, no real thought behind it as it flickered to and fro over your skin.
As he brushed across the bridge of your nose, you followed it across the mask on his own face.
It was the same motions you had given him in his final moments.
You paused abruptly. The fear, the terror, all of the adrenaline in your body seemed to just flush away at the realization and you just stared, agape.
He remembered. Somehow that was more surprising to you than the fact he’d miraculously risen from the dead, and even more baffling than his touch tracing your face.
Had he come back for you because of what you’d done for him?
Just as suddenly as he’d started he stopped. The hand pulled away from your face, brushing over your neck to grab you by the collar.
You noted briefly that, while it was harsh, there was no energy to throw behind it. Not even malice in his movements as you were yanked forward into his arms and hauled over his shoulder.
And as he stomped back out of the room, carting you down the hall and into the moderately fresher air outdoors, you noted that he had taken precaution to not throw you over the shoulder that the gun’s barrel was propped against.
Your eyes flickered to the trigger.
There was no magazine. It was empty.
_____________________________________________________________
The door to the building opened with a hiss. He’d barely given enough of a glance towards the cameras to know who it was, “Alright Hank, what did you think was so damn important that you got me up at midnight-“ Mid fiddling with his data pad the man’s ranting came to an abrupt halt, red lenses focusing onto the body tossed unceremoniously over the assassin’s shoulder. Slowly, he raised a hand to pinch the apex of the mask on his face.
“Wimbleton did you seriously just bring in a stray?”
“Shut the Hell up Doc.”

The Watcher (mono x reader)
Chapter 10
Y/N Pov
Hearing a clink of something falling down I sighed and reluctantly moved away from his warm chest of safety, my heartbeat has slowed down but not by much
He looked over at me and raised a finger to his bag signaling for us to stay quiet I nodded my head slowly watching him emerge from out of the empty filing cabinet, he quickly headed over to the key that had fell off of the bookshelf grabbing it and placing it into his jacket
Looking over I spotted a new opening that must have fallen when she slammed the door, I shivered slightly remembering what had happened previously, Mono arrived at my side and started to crouch to the opening
I followed behind him already feeling my heart pick up its beating again 'man I wish we could have just rested or something..' rolling my eyes I watched as mono peeked out from the cabinet we had entered
Sighing I leaned my head over his shoulder and peeked out as well, my eyes widened when I saw the teacher lady looming over a students desk just inches away from our hiding spot 'why is she teaching dolls? She must be stupid'
Oh how much I wanted to write down everything about this school so far unfortunately I still could not, zoning back into what was happening I saw her stand straight and slam down a ruler onto the students desk making a noise of frustration
I cringed internally and watched what she would do next, my head had become pretty comfortable on mono's shoulder I was basically just laying on his back while watching
The door where we were hiding opened up more and I moved back lifting my head up and away from mono, he looked back and gestured forwards I just shook my head sighing in agreement
The teacher had moved onto the next desk as we slipped out of our spot and hid under the first students desk quietly, mono placed his hand out from me to grab, which I grabbed onto the second he offered it 'this hand is basically my property now, he has offered it to me enough'
He crouched and moved forward I did the same, while the teacher was busy with teaching dolls that couldn't even understand her we had  just hid behind her desk that had her stacks of 'lessons' or books
On the rare occasion it seemed she liked what she saw on the dolls papers '..I wonder if she knows the pages are blank.. for having her eyes open she sure seems to be blind' as she leaned over another desk we took the chance to run out of her classroom
Once we were a safe distance away I breathed out "that was horrible, lets never come here again" he looked back at me with a laugh "yeah I agree" I smiled slightly before letting go of his hand so that he could put the key into the elevator lock
Unlocking it he walked in, doing the same I stretched myself out making a pleased noise when I felt my body relax a bit after all the pressure from all the recent events
I could feel his stare on me so I looked over and tilted my head he glanced away quickly and I raised my eyebrow not questioning him
The elevator opened shortly after and we both walked out stepping inside the new room, behind us the elevator closed and we walked forward
Inside the middle of this new room there was a porcelain doll tied up and scribbling down nonsense onto the floor with chalk, not being able to help myself I started laughing at it
Shutting myself up quietly I hummed and followed mono who had somehow grabbed onto a pipe, he smashed the strange doll to pieces and then proceeded to do the same with the broken door nearby
Dropping it onto the floor he looked behind at me "well come on slowpoke" he started climbing up a dresser and climbing into a vent I huffed and did the same "don't call me slow you silly bag boy!" He just laughed and carried on
We both dropped out of the vent, when two bottles fell off and down from our impact, this time I grabbed mono when I heard the strange eerie stretching sound, I pulled him close to me hiding us both inside of an empty box
Spotting the head pop up I winced and closed my eyes again not wanting to see her creepy face, once she finished her short search for us I opened my eyes once more
We both moved out of our spot, crouch walking I spotted a vase picking it up I looked at it and a smirk slowly spread across my face giggling quietly to myself I looked down to the teacher and threw it down at her face
Mono huffed but laughed aswell we both quickly hid into the other empty box that was perfectly waiting for us, I heard her screech and stretch her head up sounding angrier than before
'Yeah take that you giraffe' finally after she left I slid out and followed mono to the cloth rope, we both started climbing up reaching the top I examined the area and saw a plank that obviously seemed like it needed to be pushed
I slowly walked over and felt mono behind me, I turned and whispered to him "get ready to run" he nodded and I pushed the plank down sighing as it made a loud noise
We both sprinted fast and jumped into the vent crawling forward through it quickly, there was a long drop at the end I groaned slightly and sat up seeing mono standing in front of me "and you said you were falling for education?" I could practically feel his smirk of triumph
I stood up quickly "I dumped education" he laughed and then teased me "sure you did y/n" saying nothing I turned and climbed up the small ladder crouching through the next vent
"Woah wait for me!" I laughed "yeah who's the slowpoke now?" I plopped and landed feet first glancing around I saw that we were now inside of a library filled with a ton of books "oh great more books"

Family
This isn't sad, I promise.
Early morning was always so peaceful. The blanket of fog that draped over your yard was so calming. Early morning was when every animal, every form of life began its day, including your small family.
“My, My, Y/N, you’ve taken to motherhood so beautifully, I feel useless for the first time” Sitting down on the engawa Shinobu placed a quilt on the ground in front of you. You smiled at her, placing the bundle in your arms carefully on the grey and black fabric.
“Thank you, It’s only been two days but you and Amane have both been so helpful. The letters she sends have been such a wonderful help. I’m excited for Kyojuro to get home.” She nodded, looking down at your daughter, her rosy cheeks poking out of the blanket you had her swaddled in.
“I wrote to him as soon as you went into labor, so he knows. Hopefully he arrives home soon, we haven’t heard much.”
“Yes, I know, the last time he wrote was a couple days ago so I do hope he arrives soon. I was hoping Hinata would wait but she was ready to say hi. Huh my beautiful girl?” You smiled at your baby, her big yellow eyes that mimicked her fathers stared up at you, taking in the world she had waited so long to see. The fog had begun its ascent as the three of you sat outside, the calm and cool morning air was a blessing to enjoy with your baby, another beautiful day was beginning.
“Senjuro will be here soon won’t he?” Shinobu shifted next to you, moving to get up. “He is here everyday, such excitement in a young boy, he’s a good brother” You chuckled at the thought. The religious visits from your brother in law were a joy, watching him cuddle and love his Niece. He was one of the few people you trusted to keep an eye on her while you used the restroom or made yourself some tea.
“He is a very good young man, just like Kyojuro. I feel lucky to have both of them.” Shinobu stood, stretching the last of the exhaustion out of her body.
“Have you eaten yet?” You shook your head, not looking up. “Go eat, there is fresh fruit from Tengen in there if you don’t want anything heavy, but you need to keep your strength up. It's only been two days since she was born, it takes a lot out of your body. I shall sit with her” You looked up, nodding in understanding. Creating life and bringing it into the world was by no means easy. It was soul wrenching, hot, unsettling, so painful. You felt so happy though, to have such helpful and dedicated friends who made it as smooth as it could have been. No complications, no accidents, it was all you could ask for. Well, maybe not all.
“Yes, That should be good. Sitting here all day waiting for him may drive me crazy” You laughed, getting up so Shinobu can take your seat.
You arrived back at the engawa not long after you left, deciding just to snack on the cherries and pears you had received from Tengen days ago. A gift for ‘good luck’ he mentioned, chuckling as he went on his way. Shinobu had moved from where she sat, walking around the yard as she cooed and whispered to your bundle of love. Her purple bangs were falling into Hinata’s face, a great toy for small curious hands as they walked.
“You will be bald before the sun is at its peak!” Shinobu looked up, a soft smile on her lips as she walked up to you, prying the small fingers from her hair.
“You might be right, she definitely is a strong little girl” You sat on the edge of the engawa, legs hanging off the side as you leaned to see your daughter. The wisps of blonde hair that lined her head were out of sorts, a mess, just like her fathers usually was. The yellow and pink blanket you had her swaddled in was slipping as she moved around in it, revealing more of her white onesie and her arms. She opened and closed her mouth, small gurgles coming from her as she reached out absently.
“I can’t get tired of looking at her, she brings me such joy. So beautiful, so perfect” You cooed, taking the bundle from Shinobu and laying her on your shoulder, rocking her back and forth. “She’s so warm too, so much like Kyojuro, He will be so ex-” Your sentence was cut short as the front gate creaked open, Senjuro poking his head in and smiling.
“Sis! You’ll never guess who I met on my way over!” He stepped inside your yard, opening the door more for the person with him. Kyojuro came in behind him, a Kakushi assisting him inside as he limped further into the yard. A large grin appeared on his paler face, cheeks darkening as he met your eyes.
“Sunflower” He breathed, trying to step forward, a hobble in his step. As you looked over him you noticed why he seemed to struggle. His arm that rested on his bandaged stomach, the bruises that lined it. He looked tired, thoroughly worn out from whatever it was that he had faced. His hair had been tied back, out of his face and the bandage that covered his left eye. Shinobu immediately ran over, assisting Kyojuro to waddle over the engawa, pained breaths escaping him with every step. He groaned as they helped him sit next to you, Senjuro taking his small amount of items from him and running them into the estate. “Hello” His smile didn’t leave his face as he turned to you, taking in the sight before him. The closer look you had at him made you want to cry. The dried blood that was peeking out from his bandaged eye, his bloodied and bruised knuckles as he moved to push your hair out of your face, his hand hovering over the bundle on your shoulder. You noticed, moving her so she laid in your arms, curious eyes meeting with Kyojuros as she also looked him over.
“Hinata” Was all you managed, watching as she reached out for her father, the unspoken bond between parents and their children already forming between them. He sucked in a breath, leaning closer to her.
“Hello sunshine, my pretty girl. I’m sorry I'm late, daddy was busy but now I'm here. I’m all yours now” he looked up, winking before he turned back to her wiggly body.
“Do you want to hold her?” He sat up straight, wincing.
“I don’t know if i can” He looked over at Shinobu and The kakushi who had moved to the side, talking about Kyojuros mission and condition.
“I’ll help” You stood, moving to stand in front of him. “Remember, support her head, and her butt, she's still getting that strength” You repeated the things Shinobu had told you as he hesitantly held out his hands, staring at her while you carefully placed her in them, hands hovering below.
“She’s so small, she looks like you” He looked up, tears forming in his eyes “She's perfect, i’m sorry i wasn’t here. When I got the letter, I-” He choked, looking back down as the cooing bundle. “I was so upset, but she is perfect. You did beautifully, look at her. So warm and perfect” He repeated it, chanting it to himself as he continued to look down at her.
“Y/N says she looks like you, she wants her to have your hair” Senjuro piped up from beside you, scaring you as you instinctively stepped back. “Her farts are gross though” He sat down next to his brother, wiggling his fingers in her face and making kissy noises. Kyojuro laughed, watching his brother enjoy his time with his daughter. Senjuro held his hands out, a silent question to hold her.
“I will allow it this once because I just got home and lack the proper strength, be calm Senjuro '' He chided, hands carefully moving her into Senjuro arms as the younger Rengoku cuddled her close to him. Kyojuro turned back to you, hands taking yours in his own.
“She’s beautiful, have you been well? Please sit with me” he pulled on your hands, moving you to sit on the other side of him.
“Shinobu has been taking very good care of me and Hinata. Between her, Senjuro, and Amanes letters I think we're being spoiled rotten” You smiled, pulling your hand out of his to cup his cheek, thumb running over the bandage on his face. “Are you okay? Maybe you should go rest for a bit, Visit Hinata more when you wash up and rest”
“I am better than before, knowing you are both doing so well. She is more than I could have hoped for, you both are, my two perfect people. My beautiful family.” He leaned into the palm of your hand, eyes fluttering shut as he took a deep breath. “I love coming home, but now I'm afraid I may never leave you two.” he chuckled, opening his eyes and turning to place a kiss on your palm.
“My flame, That's all I could ask for. Plus, I think Senjuro may try to steal her from us” He smiled again, nodding.

the warmth is intoxicating, he can’t let it go. you’re fast asleep on his chest, body warmth mixing with his. breathing in your shampoo’s scent, kyle let his eyes flutter closed. you were mentally tranquillised, completely passed out, snuggled into him safely. he knew you would only be safe in his proximity, he had to keep you safe. the others didn’t know the extent of the situation, just guessing that kyle was overly protective. they didn’t see the yelling, arguing, the way he had broke you. kyle had managed to convince you that he was the only one who could truly protect you, that it was you and him against the world. now, you two stuck together, through thick and thin and he was so happy.
nowadays, the two of you were seen as the perfect couple, always seen together, always smiling as he walks you to classes he wasn’t in and hides you at the back of the class in the ones you two shared. kyle is always extremely aware of what he’s doing, feeling bad whenever you cry as he brands your skin as his. “kyle.” stan greets, and he opens his eyes. “what’s up?” he asks, tightening his hold on you. “clyde’s ordering food, we were wondering if you two want anything?” the raven haired boy asked, glancing at you when you shuffled. kyle grasps you tightly, asking for anything and watching stan leave.
attention drifting back to you, kyle runs his fingers through your hair. watching you stir makes him smile as you let out a soft noise, nuzzling into his shirt. “darling..” he sings, quietly. you make another small noise, “kyle..?” you mumble, and he gives your forehead a soft kiss. “hey, sleeping beauty. the others are ordering food.” he tells you, and you hum, nuzzling into his jaw sleepily. “tired, darling?” your boyfriend chuckles, raising the thin blanket to check the healing gashes on your thigh. wincing as his fingers rub and press over each sloppy letter, you grasp his shirt tightly for comfort. “don’t worry, it’s healing well.” kyle rubs the cuts, giving your head a loving kiss. you hum, wrapping your arm around his neck as you cuddle into him. “guys, you coming?” stan calls from the hallway. “yeah!” your lover responds, covering up the healing wounds once more. kyle sits up with you, urging you not to fall asleep again as you whine. “c’mon, let’s go.” he smiles, kissing you gently. “but m’tired...” you pout, resting your head on his shoulder. “i know you are, darling.” he gushes, keeping you wrapped up and warm. easily scooping you up, kyle decides to carry you downstairs, and stan doesn’t even question it, just guessing he’s pampering you.
“damn, about time.” cartman scoffs as both stan and kyle tell him to shut up in unison, and your tired form is placed onto the couch where you fall against craig sleepily. “we ordered one of everything on the menu because you guys took a while.” clyde shrugs, and token pipes up, “it was expensive, but don’t worry, i’ll pay.” he smiles, and kyle nods, eyes trained on you. he couldnt hear what craig was saying to you, and it was stressing him out. “kyle, come help me serve drinks.” stan pulls his arm gently, and kyle looks at his friend. “sure.” the redhead follows him through to the kitchen, leaving you behind. as stan gathered cups, kyle prepared alcohol for the others. his mind is racing with jealous thoughts. was craig stealing you from him? would he have to kill him? was he willing to kill for you? he’s hurt people to keep them away from you, but... interrupting his thoughts, a warm body hugs him from behind, clinging onto him. “hey.” you mumble, nuzzling into his back. “hey, you alright?” he asks, putting down the bottle of whiskey.
“mhm, missed you.” you reply, snuggling into his back. stan laughs, “you two can’t be seperate for more than a minute. he was in the other room.” he teases, and you hum, holding on tighter. “it’s alright.” kyle smiles, mainly speaking to you. watching him pour the alcohol, you pepper kisses along his neck, resting your body weight against him. it’s rather comforting to kyle, halting his more unstable thoughts which he’s rather thankful for as he’s known craig for a long time. “i’ll bring these through.” stan announces, taking a tray of alcoholic beverages. “alright dude, don’t drop them this time.” kyle jokes, and stan laughs half-heartedly. “i won’t.” he huffs, leaving the room.
“how’s your leg?” kyle asks, and you hum. “not bad, it stings but... it’s not that bad.” you reply, letting kyle direct you to the counter where he sits you down upon the surface. “i love you.” kyle reminds you, and you smile, pulling him into a hug. “i love you too.” you reply with ease, letting him kiss up your neck. “what was craig talking about?” he decides to ask whilst he had the chance and you freeze for a moment. “he was just joking about how he thinks i’m narcoleptic.” you explain, and your boyfriend hums. “anything else?” he asks, nipping your skin slightly. your breath hitches at his actions. “no.” you say, tightening your grip on his shoulders. “hm.. alright.” he sighs, kissing you sweetly.
your fingers curl into his hair, kissing him back as you cup his head closer. his hands press against the countertop- either side you, as he leans closer, backing you up into the cabinet behind you. you whimper as he bites your bottom lip, forcing them open before slipping his tongue into your mouth. kyle moves his hands to grip your hips instinctively. "dude, really?" stan groans, faking a gag. kyle rolls his eyes, breaking away from you. "right on my fucking kitchen counter." his friend continues, grabbing the drinks.
kyle pulls you into a hug as you stick you tongue out at stan. "c'mon, i don't want you two fucking in my kitchen." the raven haired boy gestures for you to follow. pulling you off the counter, kyle guides you to the other room. "when's the food coming?" eric complains, and clyde rolls his eyes. "like, thirty minutes dude, calm down." alas, cartman didn't calm down, fussing as he gets up for a 'power snack'. shoving past you, you wince as pain shoots up your thigh to your hip. kyle goes to snap at him, but you grab his arm to stop him.
"you two can sit on the love seat." stan teases, sipping his whiskey and coke. kyle guides you to the two-seater, wrapping you up in a blanket and giving your forehead a soft kiss. "why can't we have that, wendy?" bebe jokes, making wendy look up from her phone. "bitch, we do!" she replies, rolling her eyes sarcastically. kyle coddles you, ignoring the girl's chatter. you rest against him, slotting your body against his easily as the two of you tend to lay on couches often. with your back to the others, kyle carefully checks your leg, rage building as blood beaded on the cuts spelling his name. "i'm gonna kill him." he mumbles to you, and you hold onto him tightly. "please don't... i don't want you to get in trouble." you whisper, clutching his shirt and nuzzling into his neck.
kyle sighs, kissing your neck gently. "i won't get in trouble." he assures you, wrapping his arms around you tightly. "nothings gonna happen, right?" you ask, just wanting to make sure. "no, nothing's going to happen." he sighs, giving you a soft kiss. "thank you... i don't want anything happening to you." you say, kissing his jaw. "i know... we'll keep each other safe." he replies, cradling you against his chest. cartman groans as he spots the two of you, flopping down onto a free seat with a snack. "do you two have to do that here?" the other teen complains, munching on his food.
kyle doesn't respond, flipping cartman off. "what's wrong with it?" clyde asks, looking over at you two. "it's gross! no one wants to see them all lovey-dovey." he scoffs, and kyle's anger brews. "then leave, they're not doing anything wrong." kenny shrugs, sipping his drink and slouching back as he tosses an arm carelessly over the back of the couch and over craig's shoulders. eric rolls his eyes, deciding to go to the kitchen once more. "don't eat out stan's cabinets!" wendy calls after him, and eric lets out a sharp "ey!"
kyle chuckles slightly, keeping you snug against him. you were slowly dozing off once more as kyle gently rubs your side, kissing your face. you hum slightly, resting your hand on his cheek, your fingertips rubbing his skin lovingly. kyle's anger is swallowed by love, pure adoration for you swelling in his heart. the tip of your nose gently nudges his, rubbing them together affectionately. kyle smiles, kissing you sweetly as he pulls your leg over his waist, slotting you him even closer against him.
"if my man doesn't hold me like that, i don't want him." bebe jokes, nudging wendy who snorts. "hey!" clyde pouts, crossing his arms tightly. "no hard feelings, clyde." she winks at her ex, pulling wendy closer. stan laughs too, watching the two of you. time passes with everyone trained on the tv, catching or on their phones. you and kyle were still cuddled up, and you had fallen asleep once more. "maybe they are narcoleptic." kenny jokes to craig, who nods. "they sleep anywhere." he shrugs, glancing over at you.
kyle keeps his eyes closed, but listens to them carefully. "they are a cute couple." stan chimes in, and the other two agree, "they're always so close though. like, personal space doesn't exist for them." craig notes, making kyle slightly uneasy. "mhm.. we could get that close." kenny jokes, and craig instantly shuts him down with a: "shut up." stan interrupts them with another note. "to be fair, y/n is getting more quiet... they used to be rather loud and joke around." he points out, and the other two hum. "well, i'm sure it's nothing. relationships can change a person; mellow them out, y'know." kenny replies smoothly. kyle grips you tighter as they continue, anxious that they would split the two of you up if they get close to the truth.
you stir as he squeezes you too tight for your comfort, your hands coming up to rest on his chest to soothe him as he kisses you gently. "what's wrong?" you ask, and he sighs. "nothing. just want to hold you closer." he mumbles, and you hum softly, wrapping your arms around his torso to hold him just as tight.
kyle seems happy with your grip, jumping slightly as a sharp knock at the door interrupts the peacefulness. eric dashes through, and clyde and token get up to answer it. the door swings open, and clyde collects the food whilst token pays the poor man having to carry it all. "have a good night!" he waves, closing the door. "that is so much food!" kenny laughs, and you sleepily look over, resting your head on top of kyle's lazily.
"finally!" eric groans, following clyde into the kitchen, and stan gets up to help. you look back to kyle, smiling at his lovestruck face. "hey." you giggle, leaning down to give him a soft kiss. bebe lets out a loud awe, making you look back to her with a laugh. stan comes back through, handing the two girls their food before dipping back into the kitchen. "why did we order so much food..." token sighs, and craig snorts. "because it's clyde, he's always making rash decisions." the raven haired boy replies as kenny get's up to get a refill.
your attention is dragged back to kyle, who pulls you into another kiss. "whatcha thinking about?" you ask him, yet he doesn't respond for a second, giving you another soft kiss. "nothing. just you." he smiles, and you roll your eyes. "of course." you giggle, bumping your nose against his affectionately before kissing him. "really? right in front of my salad?" kenny fakes disgust as he walks back in with two boxes of food and his refill. "fuck your salad." kyle shoots back and the room goes silent, everyone glancing at each other before bursting out laughing.
as the new conversation starter brings up condiments as lube, stan walks back in with a lot of food and a lot of confusion as to why kenny was practically in tears as bebe spoke about how salad cream would be better and 'hurt less' than ranch. "okay, hot take. nando's sauce." craig pipes up, and token sighs. "ew, gross! that would burn!" wendy laughs, and you smile at the comfortable atmosphere between everyone. you wanted that, craved it, but alas you couldn't leave your bubble that kyle had made.
his slender hands grip your hips, pulling you back to him. feeling saddened by the situation, you turn back to kyle, hugging him tightly. "hey, what's wrong?" he asks, noting your teary eyes as you hide your face in his neck. "nothing... i just... our situation sucks..." you sniffle, slipping your fingers into his curls to cradle his head closer. kyle seems confused as he hugs you back tightly. "what do you mean..?" he questions, and you hold onto him tightly. "we only have each other... there's no one else." you whisper, and kyle sighs. "it's safer this way, you know that." he replies, kissing your head gently. "i know... i just... it's lonely sometimes." you mumble, resting your head on his shoulder as you sigh. "i know but sometimes we have to-..."
stan interrupts his comfort by throwing a pizza box down onto kyle and handing you your own food. clyde always remembers your favourites. "thanks stan." you smile, and he freezes. "hey, are you okay? you look like you're about to cry." he asks, and kyle grips your waist as you nod. "yeah, i just yawned is all." you smile, and stan nods with an 'ohh.' "that happens to me all the time, and my mom's always so concerned." he laughs. you nod, agreeing on how it was annoying.
stan leaves after a quick laugh, and you snuggle into kyle as you dig into your food. "feel better?" he asks softly, and you nod. "mhm. interaction helps a lot..." you admit, and kyle sighs. "i know.. i just want to keep you safe. you know that." he reminds you, and you nod. "i know, and i appreciate that but-..." kyle grips your jaw to stop you, giving you a gentle kiss. "i don't want to remind you again." he whispers. you nod, silencing yourself and leaning into him.
"who wants to play a horror game?" kenny asks, raising his hands. "sure." craig nods, looking at token who sighs. "fine, but i'm not doing it for you guys because you're too scared to hold the controller." the others eventually, yet reluctantly agree, and you smile as clyde loads up roblox, going to the horror section. "rickey rat... the fuck is that?" he asks, jokingly. "i mean... looks like a shit one, let's play it." wendy laughs.

Uhmmm.... so I had a prompt idea. What if hero arrested villain, and handed him to the authorites, and he basically told her that he'd make her pay for it. Then hero goes to the prison for a different reason weeks later, where she sees villain, terrified, sick, and drugged. So, she reluctantly takes him home and cares for him. She is scared he will attack her when he's lucid, but when he does fully wake up, he's just terrified.
This is such a good idea! I saw your submission right before I went to bed and laid there thinking about it, so as you can see I was quite excited to write it.
Paying For It
Warnings: threats, horrible treatment by authorities, left to be sick, fever, blood, drugged, forced sedation, unconsciousness, nightmares, smoking mention, paralysis (due to sickness), sick animal analogy, delirium
~
"You will pay for this," he growled as the handcuffs clicked into place. "I will make you you pay for this and not by money, no-" a chuckle "- I will hurt you."
Hero shuddered as she walked down the icy path back to the same prison that she recently turned Villain into. Horrible thoughts of that said villain breaking out and torturing her flooded into her mind, making her already chilly veins even colder. She hugged her fleece tighter around her and adjusted her scarf, suddenly wishing she wore her winter coat.
Before she knew it, Hero was trotting up the steps towards the concrete building. It was, by design, barren yet strong.
She had some documents to bring to the office. There was a new supervillain in town, actually more like ten, but Hero only managed to get information about the one. They most likely moved in after the biggest threat around, Villain, was arrested.
She opened the door, closing it quietly, and walked up to the desk. The hero, a young boy, most likely a sidekick holding down the fort while his mentor went to do something else, sitting up there was lazily playing a video game on his phone.
Hero coughed to get his attention. The boy didn't respond.
"Hello?" Hero asked.
The boy startled, tossing his phone backwards. "I wasn't," he defended, "on my phone, I swear."
"Uh huh," Hero grunted, sliding the papers over to the boy. "Where's your boss?"
"Probably smoking or something," the boy chuckled, then stopped and looked at Hero with a nervously apologetic expression. "I shouldn't have- you weren't meant to know."
Hero shook her head and said, "I don't care about my colleagues personal habits, but can you get him for me?"
The boy nodded and rushed off, returning later with a stern looking man.
"Superhero," Hero acknowledged, nodding slightly. He smiled then looked at the papers on the desk.
"Are these about..." He looked up at Hero.
"The new villain, yes," Hero finished his sentence, crossing her arms.
"Good, very good," Superhero momentarily flipped through them. In that silence, a thought bubbled up in Hero's mind.
"How's Villain?" She asked. "It's been awhile."
Superhero's face paled, as his toe nervously tapped the floor. Hero raised an eyebrow.
"We've had some... issues, so Villain is spending sometime in detention," Superhero said. He coughed, then said in an overly joyful tone, "Thanks for this Hero, do you want me to escort you to your car?"
"I would actually like to see Villain. Maybe I can, you know, talk to him about his behavior," Hero declined the offer, stepping in front of the papers. Something isn't right...
"Well you see, that wouldn't be beneficial. If anything it would be detrimental towards Villain's... redemption," Superhero pointed out, unconsciously chewing at his lip.
"We aren't a redemption center, Superhero," Hero said quietly, almost a whisper. "Let me see Villain or-" Hero grabbed the papers and proceeded to rip them "- these aren't your's."
Superhero rushed forward, putting his hands on top of Hero's and slid the papers back towards him. He gave a tiny smile and consented to her request.
They walked down the corridor and then down a couple flight of stairs until they reached a steel door with three locks- all with different keys. Hero watched with a stoned expression, thinking about what would happen if one of those keys were unfortunately lost...
"He's in here," Superhero spoke, dancing on his feet.
Hero stepped into the dark room, recognizing the detention cell that she helped invent, and flipped on the lights.
In the corner of the capacious cell, was a huddled figure. His back was towards her, legs spread out. With a pang in her chest, Hero walked up to him.
"V-villain," Hero breathed and crouched next to the figure. Villain whimpered and pulled himself deeper into himself, but his legs didn't seem to be connected to his brain.
Hero gently rolled Villain's head up to face her and nearly gasped when she took in the sight. He looked like a sick, stray cat. Mucus drained out of his nose as vomit spewed out from the corner of his mouth. His half-lidded eyes were bloodshot and had deep eyebags underneath with dried blood coating his cheeks. He had multiple, nasty cold sores all around his lips- or were they infected cuts? Maybe both.
"Why is he in this state?" Hero asked, astounded. This violated so many regulations and rules- the prison could be shut down, many heroes arrested or fined.
Superhero didn't respond. Instead, he appeared at Hero's side and crouched down next to Villain. The villain who didn't even seem to be aware of their presences.
Hero grabbed one of the wrists that were so protectively cuddled next to Villain's chest. He whimpered, trying to resist Hero's touch.
"No," he mumbled. "No no no no. Don't give... m-more... that mm stop." Villain started to breath heavily, his already fast pulse speeding up. With a heavy heart, Hero knew without even looking that he was drugged badly.
"Superhero... why?" Hero squeaked, turning over a wrist to see them heavily bruised and still bleeding from his most recent dose.
Villain started thrashing, but his legs wouldn't move.
"Why can't he move?" Hero asked, running a hand along Villain's shoulder. "Why can't he move his legs?!"
Superhero inhaled deeply then said, "He's very sick, uh... he probably has some sort of infection that makes it hard for him to move his lower body. Maybe, I don't really know."
"You don't even know what's wrong with your prisoner," Hero scoffed in disbelief, dragging Villain's limp body into her lap. She tried not to notice the wetness seeping into her jeans. It would only infuriate her that such a sick person would be kept in a wet and cold cell on top of being drugged daily without any medicines to help kick his fever.
"He's sick."
Obviously.
"I'm taking him home," Hero said, and scooped his way too light form up. His legs dangled uselessly, head falling off towards the side.
"That's illegal," Superhero pointed out. "He is in our custody now."
"And where does our rules permit excessive use of sedatives," Hero said in the same, authoritive tone. "Minimal use only to relax a distressed prisoner and only when necessary. Also, never to the point of unconsciousness." Hero gestured with her head towards Villain's closed eyes.
"And where do they permit us heroes to contain a villain on private property?" Superhero tutted. "Set him down and let me do my job."
"I'll call the authorities," Hero threatened, "and take you to court."
Superhero groaned and threw his hands in the air. That was not a risk he could take.
"Fine," he growled, storming out of the room, leaving Hero in silence other than the slow dripping from a leaky pipe.
She quickly tore off her fleece and wrapped Villain's shivering body up. His eyes fluttered open and he mumbled something incoherently, but that was all as his eyelids slipped closed once again.
Then, she carried his ragdoll-like body out of the prison, down those steps, and into her car.
She laid Villain's limp form on one of the backseats, propping his lolling head against the window and buckled him in. His arms hung lifeless at his sides, legs completely devoid of strength.
With a nervous whimper, Hero sped home.
At home, Hero took a warm washcloth and wiped off the dried blood and mucus to reveal unevenly toned skin underneath. She delicately picked the dry crust off his eyelashes and eyebrows. It was rock hard and the warm water wouldn't loosen it, so she was forced to pull on the tiny hairs. At least he wasn't conscious for the pinpoints of pain.
Hero suddered, thinking about what would happen when he did wake up. Surely, he would keep to his word and hurt her, beating her up for imprisoning him and then of course this newfound dilemma.
She looked down at his sleeping form and sighed. She had him elevated to make sure his airways stayed clear, but his head kept falling to the side and onto the backrest of her daybed. His lips quivered, forming soundless words and pleas.
Hero gently touched his forehead, retreating at the burning heat. His eyes slowly blinked open at the contact, he moaned, and then they rolled back again and closed.
Hero sat next to him for rest of the day, worriedly anticipating his attitude upon awakening. However, as the hours went on and Villain didn't seem to be regaining consciousness too much, Hero realized that they would be in for a roughly long time.
Villain was probably drugged like that the moment he entered that building and judging by his health and state of his wrists, Hero also guessed that there was no care whatsoever during the admission or the aftercare.
Hero ran her fingers over Villain's pale cheeks. His mouth was parted open and he snored slightly from the congestion. Tears leaked from his eyes, irritating the tender skin below. Hero went and grabbed some lotion, smearing the white cream over the red rashes.
Villain jerked away suddenly, curling into himself and protectively guarding his arms. His heavy breathing went shallower and quicker as tiny noises escaped his mouth. Hero sighed and stopped touching him; he was likely trapped in a nightmare.
Hours turned into days, and only then was Villain awake enough to be aware of Hero's looming presence.
Though, his reaction was not what Hero was expecting.
He screamed, shoving himself and his weak form to a corner of the bed and gathering his leaden limbs into a huddled mass of burning skin. He shrieked and sobbed, and watched Hero with wide, exhausted eyes.
"Leave me alone!" He yelled, pulling up the covers in a bade to protect himself. "Please."
Hero never once in her life felt so utterly useless.
She was, like Villain promised she would, paying for her actions.

Imagine taking in Mako and Bolin off the street and Mako becoming protective over you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warning: Brief street harassment which some readers may find triggering
You were home alone one day when you heard a noise in your back garden. You peaked through the blinds and found two men crouching low in your flower beds obviously hiding from someone. You figured it was the police until you saw Shady Shin’s gang members poking their noses around. You watched curiously and saw the boys made no movement towards the house or to steal anything, they were just hiding but the gang members were rapidly getting closer. So, not really thinking, you opened the back door and hissed at them to get inside. The smaller of the two bounded inside but the taller one paused before sighing and following. You shut the door and turned off the lights. “Who are you and why...” the smaller one started but you shushed him as the gang reached your house. They peaked over the fence but not finding anything moved on. “They’re gone but I wouldn’t go out so soon” you explained turning to face the two men and you finally got a good look at them. The tallest one was very obviously fire nation, chiselled chin, paler skin, amber eyes. The smaller one looked younger and definitely earth nation by his stature and features. They looked very different but there was an air of similarity between them. “Why did you help us?” the older one asked and you just looked between them “are you brothers?”. “We are!” the smaller one cried “Nobody ever works that out! I’m Bolin and this is my older brother Mako”. You nodded looking between them “I helped you because I didn’t want the gang to get you, I don’t know who you are or what you’ve done but I’m pretty sure you don’t deserve what they’d do if they caught you”. Bolin nodded “they’re mad cus we left the gang, we were only in it until we paid off our debt but Shady Shin wanted us to stay so we ran off”. “Bolin!” Mako cried “shut up!”. “Why? She’s not going to go rat on us after she saved us”. The older brother eyed you suspiciously “but what does she have to gain by saving us?”. “Maybe she just wanted to help?” you replied and Mako frowned not believing you. “Look my family will be home soon, my mom and dad are both pretty smart, they’ll be able to get you out of the city and somewhere safe so just sit tight for a while okay?”. Mako looked like he wanted nothing more than to run away but he glanced at Bolin who was sniffing the air “are you cooking something?”. You smirked and led him to the kitchen “it’s only cabbage soup but there’s plenty if you want some?”. “Yes please!” Bolin cried and Mako sighed “Bolin....we can’t pay her”. “You don’t need to pay me” you told the fire bender “my parents would kill me if I charged someone in need”. “We don’t take charity” the older brother snapped and you sighed “well don’t think of it that way, think of it as being a friendly neighbour”. Bolin stared at Mako pleadingly and Mako sighed “fine Bolin you have some but I'm okay”. “Suit yourself the offers there” you shrugged and led Bolin to the food.
While Bolin was eating you noticed Mako standing weird and frowned “where is it?” you asked and Mako jumped. “What?” Bolin asked but you kept your eyes on Mako “where is it?”. Mako looked down “i don’t know what you’re talking about”. You rolled your eyes “my dad’s a nurse, I know how someone looks when they’re injured”. Bolin gasped “they did stab you! Mako why didn’t you tell me”. “They didn’t stab me...it’s just a scratch” Mako said as Bolin started to tear up. You took out a first aid kit and put it on the table “if you show it me, i can help before my dad comes”. “No” Mako said “i’m fine”. You rolled your eyes “i’m not going to hurt you, just let me help”. Mako sighed and lifted up his shirt. Bolin gasped “ow no Mako you’re going to die!” and Mako glared at you. “No he won’t Bolin” you said calmly “he will need stitches which I can’t do but I can clean and bandage it till my dad gets back, okay?” you asked Mako. Mako seemed very angry at the whole situation but sighed “fine” and allowed you to approach him. You had just finished cleaning the room when the door went and your parents and 3 younger siblings all walked in. Everyone paused and you turned to them. Mako threw his shirt down immediately and Bolin stood up so quickly he almost knocked the table over. Your parents took in the situation and nodded “what's happening and how can we help?”.
You explained the situation to your family and they agreed to help. Your father stitched Mako up and you helped as your mother talked through their options. Your parents didn’t even ask what the brothers had gotten into or why they were involved with the gang in the first place. They just asked questions to assess how the brothers could get to safety. Your mother asked if they had any other relative that could help but Mako shook his head “we don’t have any other family”. “Well, we do have some distant relatives in Ba Sing Sei” Bolin added. “But we’ve never even met them” Mako cried “why would they take us in?”. Your father went to speak when someone knocked loudly on the door. “Stay here” your mother said and your father nodded “y/n finish this off for me”. Your parents headed to the door and you worked on sealing and bandaging Mako’s wound.
As you were working you heard the door open and your father ask “can i help you?”. “We know you’ve got them so let us have them or else yeah?” a voice responded and Bolin froze “that’s Hulo and Chehe!”. Mako stepped forwards and you grabbed his arm “no don’t, you’ll make it worse”. I’m not letting your parents endanger themselves for us” Mako cried and gently removed your hand. After commanding your siblings to stay put, you and Bolin scrambled after him. You saw your parents arguing with two men but they paused when they saw Mako. “Ahhh decided to give yourself up eh Mako? You always were the smart one”. Mako stood up taller and didn’t let the pain of his wound show “don’t hurt any of them, we’ll come with you” he spoke confidently. “Not a chance” your mother said and she stepped right in front of the man blocking Mako from his view. You saw the man pause at your mother’s act and they frowned recognising her voice. Your mother was well known in the community, she owned a store not far from your house and was well-liked for being a kind woman always available to help others. You knew she’d helped some of the gang with their wounds before and sure enough so did the men. “You’re the woman from that store, you patched me up once after a fight....I didn’t realise this was your house Ika”. Your mother nodded “it is and anyone in it, is my responsibility”. “Yeah but see they’re shady Shin’s men....”. “They said they paid their debt” your father piped up “this isn’t Shady Shin’s territory, if he lets them go he won’t be bothered by them ever again, we’ll make sure of it”. The men looked at your father and then to your mother “you can promise that?”. Your mother stared back at them “you have my word”. The men stared before looking away “that sounds reasonable but if we see either of them near our territory....”. “We understand” your mother nodded and the men walked away. Your parents closed the door and Bolin cheered “you saved us!” rushing to hug them. You laughed as did your siblings who had not listened to you but Mako just stared. “Why did you do that?” he asked “you know they could just come back now you’ve stood up for us?”. “Then can try” your father smiled “but me and Ika are known for being able to handle ourselves, we’ve always left the gangs alone and they’ve left us alone too, I think we’ll be okay”. Your parents led you back to the kitchen but Mako wouldn’t budge. “But why risk it?” Mako asked “for someone you don’t even know! You put all your children at risk” Mako said gesturing at you and your siblings “just for 2 strange boys? Why?”. Your father frowned but your mother shrugged “because we hope that if something happened to us another person would do the same for our kids” she said simply “the world’s a cold place but it only gets colder if we turn our backs on those in need, I’m not sending you or your brother back out there because it’s the right thing to do, it’s that simple”. “Really?” Mako asked and your dad nodded putting his arm around your mother “yes”. Bolin grinned “i think i’m going to love it here” and Mako frowned “we’re only staying for one night”. Your father went to argue but your mom silenced him with a look “if you say so but you can have a room in the attic for as long as you need it, it’s not charity. We can help you find good jobs and you can pay a small fee for the room and food. But if you’d rather go out in the cold and make it on your own...that’s okay too”. Mako looked down and you smiled at your mother and how clever she was. Your family started dishing out food and you smirked as Bolin took a seat at the table for seconds. Mako let you finish bandaging his wound but didn’t sit down, he stood by the window. Your mom glanced at him and then at you “y/n why don’t you show Mako the room, the two of you could clear out some of the stuff in there?”. You nodded and looked at Mako “this way”. Mako followed you through your house and you smiled “our house is nice but it has a few quirks you should probably know about” you explained “don’t step on the 8th step, the living room door doesn’t close properly....ow and you’ll probably have to bend your head on all the stairs but it’s a good home. Small and crowded but nice” you said and Mako nodded in response. You could see why nobody figured Bolin and Mako were brothers, they couldn’t be more different. You could hear Bolin downstairs chatting loudly while Mako just followed you silently. You reached the attic and flicked on the light. “Wow, this is bigger than I expected” Mako said and you nodded “my mom used it as an office but now it’s mainly storage”. Together you and Mako managed to clear most of said storage and revealed the two beds in the back of the room. “You’ll need new bedding and it might smell a bit musty but we can air it” you said smiling and Mako paused “why are you all so nice?”. You paused “I don’t think we are....we just do what anyone would do”. Mako shook his head “no you don’t...trust me I’ve met a lot of people and they’d sooner chase me and my brother away from their lawn than give us a meal and a bed”. You shrugged “my parents both came from humble beginnings but they had kind people who helped them, maybe that’s why they’re like they are....either way I’d say stop questioning why life’s throwing this at you and maybe just say thank you?”. Mako looked down and nodded “I’ve been rude, I apologise. Thank you for...this, it all happened because you let us both in...so thanks”. You grinned at how awkward Mako was when you heard footsteps and Bolin and your parents appeared. “This is our room?” Bolin cried and you laughed how everything amazed him. “For as long as you want it” your father nodded and Bolin dove on a bed “and we get our own beds too! Mako this is amazing isn’t it!”. Mako nodded and turned to face your parents “thank you for everything”. Your parents blinked in surprise and you smiled just a little bit proud. “It’s no problem” your mother replied and Mako looked down “if it’s okay with you...the plan you said before, could we maybe try that?”. Bolin gasped in suprised and your parents smiled. “Of course” your mother smiled “for the next few days just lay low and rest up and then in the next few weeks we’ll find you a job you like and go from there, sound good?”. Mako nodded his head and looked from your parents to you finally “yes, thank you”. You smiled “no problem” and Mako smiled softly back trying to return the gesture. Your parents smiled glancing from you to Mako. “We’ll let you boys sleep now, let us know if you need anything, bathroom’s second door on the right and there’s food in the kitchen if you get hungry”. “We’ll be okay” Mako said seeing Bolin’s eyes light up at the thought of thirds “thanks again, see you in the morning”. “Good night” you smiled and Mako nodded “good night”. “Good niggggght” Bolin sang and you laughed before following your parents downstairs. “I think we’re going to like it here” Bolin said sleepily into his pillow and Mako nodded “yeah maybe”. “They’re all so nice! I can’t believe y/n just saved us like that and her parents, they’re all something special aren’t they?”. Mako nodded “they sure are”.
2 months later
The house was definitely more crowded with Bolin and Mako in it. The attic was just big enough for them but between you, your 3 siblings and your parents, the two men were noted. The house was always bustling with movement or noise and Mako and Bolin fit right in with that aspect. Bolin was loud and friendly so got on with everyone easily and even Mako began to open up and talk more. The brothers were both very polite and while they laid low from the gang they offered to help in the house as much as possible. Even when Mako got a job (your parents refused to make Bolin work given he was only fifteen) he still pitched in with the chores like you and your siblings did. The main things the brothers did was help your mother with the store and shopping. They were now the strongest people in the house so it made sense but you also got the idea they were protective over your parents after what they’d done for them. You saw the way Mako would give up his chair for your ageing father or how Bolin would pass your mother the first bowl of food and grew fonder of the brothers every day.
Bolin soon felt like another brother but Mako didn’t. There was something about him, his calm attitude or insanely handsome features, that made you excitedly nervous to be around him. You soon realised his cold exterior was an act he had to wear to protect him and Bolin but there was no need for it anymore and you noticed it rapidly slipping away. The more relaxed and genuine Mako became the more you liked him and the closer you became. Bolin would often rush right into whatever game your brothers were playing, being loud and boisterous like them, whereas Mako and you would usually end up on the outskirts avoiding the conflict. You soon came to love the evenings you spent sat in a corner of the living room together and knew you had a small/huge crush developing. You blushed easily around him and both seemed to awkwardly get caught in situations that made your feelings even more obvious.
For instance, one afternoon you were heading out to meet a friend when Mako and Bolin appeared with your mother and the food shopping for the week. You jumped spotting Mako so suddenly and he smiled making you feel weak “hi y/n, sorry didn’t mean to scare you”. “It’s fine....” you smiled back and went to retreat back up the hall so they could pass when Mako shook his head “it’s okay I think I can squeeze past!”. You stepped closer to the wall and Mako tried to bustle past you. He lifted the bags above your head trying to pass you when Bolin crashed into him trying to turn in a hallway too narrow for his broad shoulders sending Mako crashing into you. Mako tensed trying to stop himself from hurting you and managed to not put all his weight on you. He sighed and shot you a nervous smile as you were trapped against the wall by him “sorry”. “It’s not your fault” you smiled back “stay still I think I can slip out”. You tried getting out from under his arm but that was hard. Mako tried lifting the bag but it started to rip so you told him to stop. You ended up having to climb out under his arm and above his leg. Mako was blushing bright red when you managed it and you too felt flustered. You came into the living room to let Mako pass and then stood awkwardly by one another. "So you’re heading out?" Mako asked. You nodded "yes i’m meeting my friend Geho, i should be back late". Mako nodded resisting the urge to warn you about taking the main road not the back streets, a habit he’d gotten into with Bolin that had apparently passed onto you too. You almost sensed that and smiled "i’ll be careful" and Mako smiled "good" and tried not to watch as you walked away. Mako liked you too.
Later that evening your mother realised she’d forgotten to get the meat from the butchers and Mako and Bolin offered to go and fetch it. The shop would be closing soon so Mako and Bolin hurried to the store as quickly as they could. The streets were largely empty and as the brothers stood in the butcher waiting something caught their eye. "Is that y/n?" Bolin asked suddenly and Mako’s head shot around. Sure enough there you were walking, or more like running down the street in the direction of your house. "Who is that?" Bolin asked and they watched as some boy hurried after you calling after you. "That’s her friend Geho” Mako said recognising the boy but he frowned “something is not right". When you lifted your head slightly and Mako saw you were crying he shoved the list your mother had given him into Bolin’s hands and rushed after you. He jogged over to you at a fast pace but when he saw the boy touch your shoulder, trying to make you turn around and face him, he exploded in anger. "Hey" he yelled "get off her!". The boy looked back around just as Mako grabbed him by the shirt and threw him away from you against a wall. Mako held the boy off the floor being taller and growled fire on his fingertips. "Dude what the hell?" the guy cried trying to get free and you spun stound. "Mako it’s okay! Don’t hurt him". Mako frowned "but he was bothering you". "Well yes" you nodded and Mako glared until you touched his arm "Mako it’s alright, he'll leave me alone now, right Geho?". The man glared at Mako "don’t think your boyfriend here will give me much of a choice". "Geho it’s not like that..." you started but the boy swore and just walked away "fuck you y/n". Mako glared and went to follow him when he realised you were still crying. "Y/n" Mako said softly "are you okay? Do you need a tissue? A hug?". You took Mako’s last suggestion and buried your head against him. Mako wrapped his arms around you and rubbed your back saying soothing things. Mako held you tightly for a while before it started to rain and he frowned. "Come on let’s get you home" Mako said putting an arm around you and you nodded "thank you".
Mako got you home, upstairs and into your room without any of your family noticing. You sat on the edge of your bed not bothering to remove your coat, scarf or shoes and Mako frowned "y/n what happened". You wiped your eyes and looked at him "i just lost my best friend". Mako sat beside you "how?". You sniffed and Mako looked at you "y/n?". "Geho asked me out...he’s apparently liked me for a while and i had no idea! I told him i didn’t feel that way and he got angry and aggressively persistent. He was trying to convince me to give him a chance and getting madder that I didn’t want to when you got him away from me". Mako raised an eyebrow "he got mad at you for not liking him?". You nodded and Mako shook his head. Mako went to comment on how stupid that was when you sighed "i mean maybe it was my fault, maybe i was too friendly and gave him the wrong idea, I should’ve noticed he liked me...". Mako almost produced fire that idea made him so angry. "No" Mako said firmly "y/n you did nothing wrong! Being friendly is no invitation for a guy to try something with you and you’re not supposed to always know how he feels. He’s a grown man he could just tell you..." Mako trailed off realising that applied to him too and coughed "and to blame you for not liking him...y/n he’s an asshole and you deserve way better friends than him". "But he’s my oldest friend" you sniffed and Mako shrugged "well if he’s a true friend he'll come back and apologise, i think he should beg for forgiveness personally". Mako relaxed to see you smile slightly. "And if he doesn’t then who needs him? You don’t need guys like that around you y/n, nobody should ever treat you that way". You smiled looking up at Mako "how are you so sure?". "Because it’s common courtesy, because it takes nothing to be polite. After all, friends should never blame you for your feelings or things you can’t control, because you’re the kindest sweetest person i know and if anyone does ever treat you that way i will put a stop to it". You smiled softly "like today? You were like a knight in shining armour, you just appeared out of nowhere". Mako smiled "i’m just glad i was nearby, when i saw him reach out for you...". You tensed and Mako frowned "but you’re okay, you’re safe" he rushed to reassure you. You nodded "thanks to you". "You know i can teach you some stuff" Mako told you "so you know what to do if a guy tries to grab you like that again". "You can?" you asked and Mako nodded "there’s actually a lot of ways to get out of holds and to reverse them on the person, I can show you a bunch of ways to protect yourself". "You’d help me with that?" you asked and Mako nodded "of course!". You smiled "thanks Mako that’s amazing! I’m so glad i met you". Mako’s heart lifted and he smiled "i’m glad i met you too". He wanted to tuck that piece of hair behind your ear but didn’t want to touch you and scare you after what had just happened. "I think i’m going to shower and then go to sleep" you announced and Mako nodded standing up. "Thanks for today" you smiled at him and Mako nodded "no problem and if you need me, for anything, even if it’s just to have someone with you until you fall asleep...just call me". You smiled "thanks Mako" and he focused on your watery eyes and red nose and just wanted to comfort you. "Can i hug you?" he asked and you blushed but were so pleased he asked for permission. "Yes" you smiled and he wrapped you in a hug. You hugged him tightly feeling safe there and when you seperated Mako was worried to see you were crying again. "Y/n are you alright...". "Yes you just make me feel safe" you smiled through tears "that’s all". Mako blushed and felt so proud he made you feel that way. “That makes me glad to hear, I’d do anything to keep you safe and well....all your family” he trailed off and you smiled. “Well you do so thank you...for being you I guess?” you said awkwardly and Mako laughed. “No problem...I meant what I said, just bang on the ceiling if you need me” Mako said as his room was above yours. “Thanks Mako” you smiled and Mako nodded leaving your room.
Mako closed your door softly and walked to his own room. Bolin burst in soon after and gasped “where’s y/n? Is she okay?”. “She’s alright, her friend was harassing her but I got him to leave her alone, hopefully he’ll never go near her again but if he does....”. Bolin laughed “I can imagine what you’d do to him for messing with y/n given your feelings for her”. Mako blushed looking away “is it that obvious?”. “Ow yeah to everyone apart from her” Bolin nodded “but maybe not after today”. “I’d have helped her regardless” Mako explained and Bolin nodded “yeah I know...but I don’t think you’d be so emotional and protective, all i’m saying is she might’ve noticed that”. “Maybe” Mako nodded “but after what she’s been through the last thing I want to do is to put any pressure on her”. Bolin nodded “i get that, so just let her come to you, or wait for enough time to pass and then ask her out”. Mako nodded “I think the first option” and Bolin smirked “chicken!”. Mako shook his head “you didn’t see how upset she was, I’d do anything not to see her cry again...I’ll let her come to me if or when she wants to, I’m not going to stop showing I care about her but I’m also not going to force her to decide anything, I’ll be here if she wants me” Mako said adamantly. Bolin smiled “aww my big brother all in love, so cute”. Mako blushed and pushed Bolin away from him. “You’re an idiot” he huffed and got into bed turning the light out. Mako listened as Bolin pottered around the room and he sighed. “You’re not an idiot Bolin you’re just...accurately annoying” Mako clarified. “I know” Bolin smirked and Mako rolled his eyes. Bolin was exactly right, Mako had fallen for you hard and he’d do anything to protect you. He meant what he said though and wouldn’t pressure you in any way, he’d wait for you....as long as it took.
____
I only recently realised Mako was only 8 when his parents died and he became Bolin’s guardian which made me really sad...so I wanted to write something where someone looked after Mako for once.

→ summary: there are only two weeks left until graduation—which means you only have two weeks left until you’ll be nothing more than a facebook birthday notification on his phone (unless you do something about it, of course.) → genre: high school!au, humor, slight angst → warnings: none unless you’re terrified of two idiots mutually pining for e/o → words: 1.2K → a/n: ain’t it kinda weird that there were some people you met in high school that you considered your “friend” but never kept in touch with them after graduation? like ships that have sailed past each other, only being left with some hope of crossing someday. idk, high school was weird. anyway, enjoy!
—part of the bgw drabble marathon (Tropes #5)—
Tumblr media
“So, have you asked anyone out to the graduation ball yet?” Hoseok asks you suddenly, his words muffled by the disgusting amount of pasta in his mouth.
From the corner of your eye, Jungkook’s shoulders tense. You don’t mean to notice—you weren’t even supposed to be looking at him. He has his gaze trained downwards, shooting lasers at his rice with enough intensity to cook it twice over.
“No, I haven’t,” you respond eventually.
“Time is running out you know! It wouldn’t look good if the class valedictorian arrived at the party without some good ol’ eye candy,” Hoseok says.
You scoff, taking a sip of your lukewarm apple juice. “Who says I need a man to make me look good?”
“Or woman, for that matter!” Chaeyoung pipes up. She wiggles her eyebrows, leaning across the lunch table until her chest almost gets a platter full of greasy cafeteria pizza. “You know, the offer is still open. I guarantee that if we went together, we’d be the prettiest bitches in the entire ballroom!”
You laugh, shaking your head. “You’re right, we would be… minus the fact that you’ve been pining over Eunbi for God knows how long, and it would be seriously shitty of me to deny you your last chance of getting together with her.”
Chaeyoung leans back, acquiesced. “Alright, you got me there,” she sighs, crossing her arms. “Still, you know I would drop everything and anything if you asked.”
“Not me though, I’m a selfish whore,” Jimin interrupts, reaching his minimum quota of giving his unsolicited opinion. He points finger guns at you. “I’m bringing my hot and sexy college boyfriend to the ball.”
“Oh right, how could we ever forget your mysterious ‘college’ boyfriend,” Hoseok scoffs, the quotation marks audible in his voice. “The one that we’ve never seen or heard of before, and also conveniently lives in a different city that is miles from here? That boyfriend?”
“Shut up!” Jimin glares, pointing his sharpened acrylic nail at him. “You’ll eat your words once you see how fucking gorgeous and hot and REAL my boyfriend is!” He turns to you, brows still quirked in irritation. “Anyway, as I was saying. Even though I’m going to the ball with my snookywookums, I’m willing to scout a date for you if you want.”
“I don’t think snookywookums is a Scrabble-verified word,” Hoseok says under his breath, nearly causing you to snort your pasta up your nose.
“T-Thank you, Jimin,” you say, coughing through your laughter. Lucky for Hoseok, Jimin’s massive ego doubles as a noise-cancelling material. “But I’m fine, really. I’m more than happy just hanging out with my best friends over some random guy.”
“Aww, that’s so sweet!” Chaeyoung coos, pinching your cheeks.
“–and also improbable,” Hoseok snorts. “These two whores are definitely gonna spend that entire night fucking their dates,” Hoseok says, jabbing his thumb at your resident bimbo-himbo combo, “while I will be busy with DJ-ing at the event, so you’re pretty much outta luck, chief.”
“What the fuck? You’re gonna DJ at our fucking graduation ball?” you squawk. “Why the hell would you volunteer to do that?”
“For… experience?”
“Really.”
Hoseok raises his hands in surrender with a pout. “Okay, fine. Maybe I wanted to impress Namjoon. Fucking sue me for being a hypocrite!”
“Ahah! The ogre has fallen in love with the prince!” Jimin hollers, earning himself a pinch in the tit from Hoseok.
You huff, annoyed. “Am I really being abandoned by all my friends? On one of our final days together as classmates before we inevitably part ways towards adulthood?”
A beat of guilty silence. Then:
“Yep!
“Totally!”
“You guys suck!”
You groan in defeat, rolling your eyes. “Fine then! I guess Jungkook and I will have to entertain each other, right Kook?”
The boy in question, who had been eerily quiet this entire lunch period, jolts in his seat after suddenly being addressed. His elbow hits the table with a bang, causing an impressive string of expletives to spill from his mouth.
Jimin snorts, amused. “Damn, you good? What’s got loverboy all jumpy?”
“Don’t call me loverboy,” Jungkook says through gritted teeth, his jaw clenched as he cradles his injured elbow.
“Well someone clearly pissed in your Cheerios. What’s up? Why are you being all broody and sulky?” Hoseok asks.
“I’m not being broody,” Jungkook says broodily. For a brief moment, your gaze catches his, but he quickly averts his eyes before you can get a good glimpse at the unknown emotion that tints them. “I just… got a bad grade in Chemistry. That’s all.”
“First time? I guess senioritis doesn’t hit all of us the same,” Jimin sniffs. “By the way, Kook. Do you have a date for the ball? If you do, then we can all shame Y/N into looking for a date and not feel guilty about it.”
“Hey!” you whine, but your attention is focused on Jungkook. You hold your breath, a looming sense of dread rising up your stomach like bile. A desperate plea rings through your head, crying out, “Please say you’ll go with me.”
As friends, you remind yourself.
Sure Jan, your inner voice replies.
Jungkook barks out a laugh, but it sounds hollow. “I, umm…” he trails off, fidgeting in his seat awkwardly. He puts down his chopsticks, wiping his clammy hands on his jeans. “I’m still, uh, working up the courage to ask her…”
“HER?! YOU LIKE GIRLS?” Chaeyoung screams, horrified. “Then why the FUCK have you been rejecting all those poor girls for the past four years?”
“I just wasn’t interested, I guess,” he shrugs. He pauses. “Wait, did you not know I was straight?”
“Kookie, I don’t know if you haven’t noticed, but you recoil like a raccoon being spritzed with water every time a woman so much as looks at you,” Hoseok points out.
“I’m just shy,” he grumbles.
To your left, Jimin nudges you gently. “Did you know?” he whispers, brows arched.
“Of course I did,” you snap. “That boy uses five-in-one shampoo and soap.”
Jimin leans back into his seat, a mystified expression on his face. “Damn, you’re right. And here I thought you just liked pining over him because you were a masochist.”
You choke on your own spit, feeling as though a large stone has just been dropped on your esophagus. You whirl towards Jimin with a death glare, but the shithead barely flinches in response. “What the fuck did you just say?” you seethe, panic clear in your voice.
“What did you say?” Jungkook repeats after you, jaw agape. You both make eye contact, and you notice the way Jungkook’s cheeks have flushed a deep red. You have no doubt in your mind that you aren’t faring any better. Shit!
“Now, we don’t have time to unpack all of that,” Hoseok interrupts. He gestures to the clock by the wall, which shows that your lunch period is about to end. He slams his lunch container shut, a large smirk on his face. “But this will definitely be a fun conversation for later, and I want front row seats.”
“Ditto! Text me once you’re out of your last class, okay?” Chaeyoung says, standing up with Hoseok. She blows a kiss your way and pats Jungkook endearingly on the head. “You guys have English together, right? Should be fun!”
“Gotta blast,” Jimin says, scrambling out of his seat before you can snap out of your daze long enough to twist his balls into a ponytail. He throws a mock salute at you, toothy grin on full display. “Have fun!”
Now left alone (i.e. abandoned) by your friends, you tentatively turn to look at Jungkook. You swallow thickly, cheeks flamin’ hot. “So, by the way…. About that date?”

Jack Bass x Younger!Reader || Oneshot
Tumblr media
Title: Bass's.
Notes:
I have no idea when this is supposed to be set. Just go with it.
I have two things to say about Jack in this gif, though. 1. Does he not know how to carry a tray. And 2. I love this statement, here. Its like 'Bart's Dead, Chuck. I can barely contain my joy, Chuck. Its taking all my willpower, Chuck, to keep a monotonous expression. Also Chuck I am carrying a tray, do you see this?'
Plot: Bart Bass decides to be his creepy fucking self (Not that Jack is exponentially better in any way but whatever) towards you, Chuck's best friend- but thankfully, Jack accidentally walks in on the scene and gives you a get out of jail free card.
Good old 'lesser of two evils' shit. I love stuff like that.
Warnings: BART BASS being predatory, and a bit of age difference (You and Jack. I'm going by actors ages though so there's only a, like, 11 year age gap between him and Chuck which is not that bad if you ask me). Sexual references.
~~~
Chuck looks from his phone, that's flashing Blairs name, to you and your big, wide eyes and lips mouthing 'Don't you dare', then to his father quietly tapping away on his phone on the couch a few feet away... then back at his phone.
"Charles- " You hiss, prepared to threaten his very existence but he cuts you off first- slipping off the bar stool beside you and heading for the hallway.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom."
Why am I friends with him again!? You think, but stay quiet and hope that Bart doesn't realise that you're back there despite having said hello to you earlier when he came in. You think, if you stay quiet like a mouse, he will forget your existence and keep texting until Chuck gets back- although, who knows how long he and Blair can go on for.
Depends what its about, honestly. If its about revenge or espionage... well, the conversation could last quite some time.
Should I just leave?
The impulse to run away is a strong one, as you sit there with your cheeks heating up and you start to feel nauseated. You never liked Bart Bass, from the moment you met him. Before that, actually. You had heard Chuck talking about him to Nate before you even became friends with them, and none of what you heard was good. And then you did meet him, one day when Chuck invited you over to do a school project. Or 'school project' as he so obnoxiously put it. You really did end up just doing a school project, though. Hence your friendship nowadays. Bart was creepy towards you even then, at 16 with terribly died hair and the wrong eyeshadow.
You've been very careful since then to never be alone with him like this. You would talk to him at parties if you were forced to, say hello to him when Chuck had you at his place and the man walked by, but that is the extent of your communication with the creep. Always, always, someone would be around. Chuck, mostly. But also staff, or Nate, or random fundraiser ladies, or Jack who Chuck the bastard never left alone with all willy-nilly like this, unfortunately, or Lily, or literally anyone else possible on the earth.
You've even hidden away in the men's bathroom, which is disgusting no matter how expensive the restaurant, with Nate before to get away from this man when Chuck once ditched you both at a dinner with him. And that's the story of how you got your first kiss, too, and it was from Nate Archibald. Hell yes.
That's how much this man makes you want to grab your bag and flee.
But you don't. You stay glued to your seat, super still, listening only to the tap-tap-tapping noises that Bart makes and the bump-bump-bump noises your heart is making right into your throbbing ears.
Until it stops.
Not the bump-bump-bumping, oh no. The tapping. And, nightmarishly, it's replaced by a groan and footsteps coming towards your turned back.
"Y/N," As soon as he says your name, his hands fall on your your shoulders and you literally jump under his touch. Shit- Shit- Fuck- what's happening- "I've been meaning to speak with you recently but Chuck- ah. Well you know him. He refused to share with me your telephone number. But I knew you'd turn up here at some point, so not to worry."
"Uh... right." You cant even force yourself to be your normal, cheery, polite self in this position. You just want him to get. off. of. you.
"Did you want a drink?" He asks, in that possibly cheery (But only because its slightly louder then his usual husk level) but mostly still scary voice he uses to convey emotion, letting go of you thankfully and rounding to the other side of the bar. You shake your head, though. He raises his brows, picking out a scotch for himself. "You don't drink? Shocking, seeing as you're friends with my son."
Oh I drink. You think, giving him a shrug. Just not in situations like this one. Also, what must he think of Chuck? Jesus Christ. For sure, your boy likes debauchery but what's wrong with that?
"Well, I like that." Bart pauses before pouring his drink, to appreciate you. "Mature."
Damn it. It makes your skin absolutely crawl.
"So... " You take a deep breath, tucking your hair back behind your ears rather then ruffling it back like you usually would to get it out of your face- lest that be recognised as some kind of extremely subtle form of flirting. God, fear makes you think weird things. "What did you want to discuss?"
"Oh- Just, your future. Where are you going to school? Will you be sticking close to us?"
Us? US? No, I'll be far far away, from you.
You don't really want to tell Bart where you're going to be going to school, because in your fear addled brain you know that that will just lead to 'Which campus?', or 'Where will you be staying?' and you really don't want it to go there.
You're just taking another, shakier deep breath, when the front door of the apartment opens and shuts loudly and set of feet trample down the hallway towards you. Immediately total relief plashes over you and you wipe your face. Oh, thank god.
Jack Bass appears in the doorway to the living room, looking as put-together yet somehow simultaneously still totally relaxed, as always, and forces aa polite smile onto his handsome face. "Brother. Y/N? Its good to see you."
You have no idea. "Good to see you too Jack. Uh- Chuck's in the bathroom."
"Thanks. For that... enlightening, information, Y/N. I needed that." You cheeks flare up in embarrassment, but ultimately you just roll your eyes as Jack flashes you a subtle wink, and turns promptly to his - much, - older brother. "Bart."
The older brother in question looks less then pleased at his baby brothers appearance in his home. Right now. And he possibly isn't thrilled about that little wink, either. Like you two are in on some kind of joke together. "Jack... What are you doing here?"
"Simmer down, bro. Just visiting." Even you know that that excuse is weak, but anything that comes out Jack's own monotonous voice right now is blessed where you're concerned so you certainly don't say anything. Or make any faces, which would be more appropriate. "Y/N, I don't think Bart-man here's too happy about my presence." Hm, no. You'd have to agree with that observation- not that you've looked up at Bart since Jack came in. You wont risk it. Jack glides through the room with the practised grace of a man who's lived 3 quarters of his life in suits and the other, happier quarter in board shorts, and ends up right next to your chair, an arm resting on the bench in front of you.
If you weren't already so nervous about Bart, you would blush about Jack.
"At least tell me you're glad to see me."
You grin, which is less forced then you thought it would be prior to trying it. Damn, he's good. You think, realising he just swepped in here and made you comfortable in less then 50 words. "Always, 'Uncle Jack'."
"Oh," He groans, like it physically pained him to hear you tease him like that. A tiny smirk even slips through his usually emotionless - well, not emotionless. He has one standing colour, that being sly, - stone statue of a face. "'Uncle Jack'- Please, stop. I'm barely a decade older then you."
That's enough to make anything else possible, inappropriate. Unfortunately. "Hey, I said I'm glad to see you." You wink, a bit sly yourself. "Count your blessings."
His grin widens a bit, like the dangerously charming Cheshire cat-type that he is. Genes that Chuck inherited, clearly, if his track record with girls say anything at all, but that Bart obviously missed out on. "You've got a point."
"She's a remarkable young woman." Bart pipes up, making your stomach tie itself up in knots again, and you immediately revert your gaze to your lap. Remarkable young woman... you want to barf. "Who, I was actually having a conversation with before you burst in here, unannounced." He takes a slow sip of his drink, then mutters. "And uninvited."
"Well that's great." Jack straightens up, clapping his hands together and finally showing his teeth in a smile. They're really freaken white, compared to his skin, deeply tanned by the hot Australian sun. "A visit would be kinda uncomfortable without a conversation; I'll join. I can converse with the best of 'em, Bart. I assure you."
"It was private." The old man sneers, thinking that he's got the upper hand on Jack, and all you can do is hope to god that he's wrong.
Jack turns his head back to look at you, and you meet his gaze tentatively. Your eyes scream, 'Please don't leave me alone with that guy'. He promptly looks back to Bart. "Well Bart why don't we ask the lady in the room what she wants? We are gentlemen here aren't we?" Then Jack makes a face, all crumpled up and unsure, for a moment. "Err. Well actually... 'gentleman' might be a bold faced lie. We'll ask anyway. Y/N! Do you mind if I weigh in here?"
"Not at all." You say quickly, flashing a tiny, thankful smile. He gives you another wink- this time actually subtle. So Bart didn't see it. Your smile gets a little bit bigger, relaxing. He's got you.
"Great." You watch him pull out the stool beside you, that Chuck - who has still not returned from his phone call with Blair. You assume some, likely cruel vengeance must be involved. Possibly involving that Humphrey guy, - had vacated and settles down in it. He then sets his arms firmly on the bench and looks up attentively at Bart, not breaking eye contact with him. Boy these Bass's like their stare downs. "So?" He prompts, expectantly. And a little arrogantly- a Bass speciality that you truly don't mind at all. "What's on the agenda, today?"
Bart glares heatedly, back.
~
Throughout the awkward discussion between the three of you, which your good friend Chuck has yet to return to discover - at this point you're resigned to him having climbed out the window and scaled the building probably, - , Jack constantly, skilfully changes the subject for you whenever Bart rears to close to somewhere uncomfortable. He makes jokes that make you laugh, he nudges you with his elbow at times - but never touches you any more then that, although you honestly wouldn't mind it if he did, - and takes the attention off you a lot. At times you truly thought you saw steam come out of Bart's ears.
When finally Bart gives up and excuses himself, saying he as an early dinner with Lily, you feel exhausted and relieved. After the door swings shut behind him, you cover your face with your hands and deeply sigh.
"So, what was that about? You looked like a trapped mouse. I recognise that look, I invented that look." You pull back slightly from your hands and glance over at him, to see him thoughtful for a moment. "Well, not by making it. By... causing... it... Either way, it was not good." He shakes his head, taking a sip of his own drink - scotch, - that he made Bart pour for him; Raising his eyebrows at you for an explanation over the rim of the glass.
Jack's always been great, like this. Even when he was horrible, he was the lesser of two evils between him and Bart. Good for a laugh and quality eye candy in a pinch- and that counts for a hell of a lot when it comes to surviving Bart Bass and the Upper East Side. And he had the power and pull of an adult, but knew what the hell was going on like one of you.
So he always made you feel at ease.
You ruffle your hair back, and sigh, straightening your back finally from their hunched over position they live in when you're uncomfortable and pushing back your shoulders. "He was just, saying some weird stuff... and Chuck disappeared to talk to Blair." At that, Jack nods in total understanding. Like ah, yeah. Got ya. Finally, you shrug. "He just makes me really uncomfortable. No offence, but I hate your brother."
As you watch Jack's eyes don't even flicker; He's totally on board with what you've said. Then he finishes the rest of his scotch in one gulp. "Ahh- I hate him too."
"As do we all." Chuck's voice suddenly pops up, as he appears in the doorway like Jack had earlier. You have to practice some serious self control so as to not laugh, at Chuck so coincidentally turning up again at the perfect moment to proclaim his hatred for his father. Jack grins back at Chuck coldly, nodding. Yeah. "Anyway, Y/N, I apologise but I'll be having to abandon you. Blair's waiting for me at her, empty, apartment." He pauses for a moment for dramatic effect, in perfect Chuck Bass fashion, and you roll your eyes, grinning. Jack smirks. "But you're welcome to stick around a while and help yourself to the amenities All on my tab, of course. Good to see you again, Jack." Then he pockets his phone and heads toward the door. The second Bass of the day leaves the building.
"Bye, nephew!" Jack waives as the elevator doors close behind Chuck then swiftly turns around back to you, to which you raise your eyebrows. "So, what do we do now?"
"I dunno." Shrugging you grin and turn your stool to angle your legs towards Jack. "When Chuck says those magical words 'All on my tab'," Those words, oh; You speak them with just as much raw, breathy sexual arousal as the man himself would. As the words demand. 'All on my tab'. Good lord, sex if they were words. "I tend to take advantage."
"An easy girl to please; That's what I like to see." Your cheeks flame up at those words out of Jack's mouth as he turns to look down at the room service menu. Yes, Jack Bass has toed the line, between platonic and flirtatious since the very moment you met the man... but that seemed a little bit more then toeing the line.
And you get a far different reaction to him doing it then you do the other Bass brother.
You don't even really mind the implications of his words.
"You're staying back with me?" You ask, feeling hopeful at the idea.
"Yeah well, I cant in, uh, good conscience," He makes a bit of a show to you, of pressing his hand to his chest totally earnestly as those words 'good conscience' come out of his mouth. "leave you here unguarded in case Bart comes back, can I? Besides, the way you said 'All on my tab'- man, you could sell moonshine at an AA meeting with that voice."
"Ha," You laugh, rolling your eyes and shaking your head. "Well, thanks."
"Oh. Don't thank me. You're just using what uh, your mama gave you. I actually encourage you totally, to do that more often- "
"No!" You exclaim, sighing in exasperation; But there is still a smile on your face you cant seem to shake. "For not leaving, today. When you walked in. It would've sucked if you had, not that I would've blamed you at all."
"Hey, just call me your knight in shining armour." He doesn't look up from the menu, flicking through it. Then turns to you with one of those beach boy/politician, toothless grins of his. "Besides you were automatically, my favourite person in the apartment. I mean, anyone with... uhhh- different, appendages to what I have, instantly gets a one-way ticket access to my rare bouts of chivalry. Now come over here, pick out what you want off here."
You just gape at him and that comment, making him stifle a laugh and return to the menu himself.
Bass's.
