“The thing I’m looking forward to most about Christmas this year is my table centrepiece. It doesn’t necessarily matter if people’s plates can fit on the table or not, it’s all about what’s on display in the middle for me.
I get very excited when it’s time to hang the stockings up, and I make everyone wear novelty jumpers on Christmas Eve. I really love to give a small present on Christmas Eve, open the stockings in the morning and then the presents under the tree later. My sister creates a personalised Christmas quiz for our family, which I always look forward to.
My least favourite thing about Christmas? I’m not a Brussels sprout fan. I want to be. I’ve tried so hard. Last year I tried to jazz them up with a recipe from a cookbook, but it just didn’t work – I didn’t commit enough.”
Brewdog Hazy Jane Guava IPA (Picked up at M&S Food in Oxford, UK). A 3 of 4. This is already a nice base beer but the addition of guava makes it quite great -- guava is a favorite of mine. Plenty of other tropical fruit play nicely in the body and this manages to have a nice hazy thickness to it that so many lighter-ABV hazy IPAs lack.
November 5th, 2022: The charity Centre Point thanked Harry Styles today on its Twitter account for donating to them the fee that was paid for the use of his song Treat People with Kindness. Indeed, a new Christmas ad by the Marks and Spencer Group features Harry Styles’ song Treat People with Kindness, which means this company had to pay a fee to Harry for the use of the song. Marks and Spencer Group is a major British multinational retailer that sells clothing, beauty, home products, and food products. The thank you tweet by Centre Point says “Thank you @Harry_Styles for donating the fee for the use of your song to Centrepoint for @marksandspencer’s Christmas ad! Your support will help young people facing homelessness find a place to be treated with kindness this Winter.“
