I cannot believe that the same man I protested alongside for BLM during the summer of 2020 got elected to be a state representative.... just for other lawmakers to put in a formal request for him and 2 others to be removed this year. Why do they want him removed, you ask? BECAUSE HE PROTESTED WITH 10,000+ STUDENTS YESTERDAY FOR BETTER GUN LEGISLATION, THEIR RIGHT TO FEEL SAFE IN SCHOOL, AND MORE!!

Representative Justin Jones, also known as Brother Jones to many of us here in TN, does not deserve this. He's a fantastic organizer and now state legislator who has repeatedly put his body, mental health, and life on the line for countless people. And the other two Reps., Gloria Johnson and Justin Pearson, don't deserve it either. Especially not for joining people they're meant to represent in a fight for their safety and rights.

- Marilyn Manson: Multiple albums of music written by an abuser in denial from that perspective after his more famous anti-Christian, anti-morality police stuff. You making an abuse ship playlist? Manson will have material to work with. I could make an album length playlist for some ships just with him. You’re almost assured to find something to use.

- Shining: The DSBM band. The inventor of the DSBM subgenre. The DSBM band that disowned the DSBM subgenre because the other bands support recovery and they support self-destruction and suicide. I’d tease them about being a tad edgy but I’m scared Niklas would find me and kill me. And possibly defile my body. Got a character in love with someone more focused on being evil than them? “For The God Below”.

- Otep: Violent lesbian anti-capitalist music. One song is a very positive portrayal of an older woman denied healthcare going on a mass shooting at the insurance company (“Necessary Accessories”). Another is a rap metal song about beating up a man for calling her slurs and then fucking his wife (“Equal Rights, Equal Lefts)”. Also one track is a spoken word short story from the perspective of a serial killer watching a woman and killing her (“Baby’s Breath”). It’s brutal.

- Type O Negative: A band that was accused of being anti-white AND of being Nazis at different times. Songs include “Kill All The White People”, “Der Untermensch”, “I Know You’re Fucking Someone Else”, “My Girlfriend’s Girlfriend”, and “Red Water (Christmas Mourning)”.

- Rammstein: (Formerly East) German metal band, they really really love the subject of fucked up relationships, both real and fictional. “Mein Teil”, “Rosenrot” and “Puppe” are three suggestions on that theme.

- Nine Inch Nails: It’s Trent Reznor and their first few albums are when he was on heroin. You’ve probably heard “Closer”, but what if I told you there’s a bunch of other songs good for playlists? “Reptile”, “Only”, “The Day The World Went Away”, “Sanctified”, I can go on.

- Lordi: Finnish 80s metal revival band, won Eurovision, always wear monster costumes to the point where it’s an unofficial Finnish rule that all of Finland helps keep them unidentified and when one paper broke the rule on the singer once everyone went apeshit, has songs like “Would You Love A Monsterman?”, “Candy For The Cannibal”, “Schizo Doll”, “Discoevil”, and “Man Skin Boots”.

- Genitorturers: Look at that name. Songs like “Lecher Bitch” and “Cum Junkie” aren’t exactly more subtle.

Started crying because the mom of one of the girls murdered in Uvalde liked my comment on her tweet about how today was the anniversary of her Catholic confirmation and I’m so fucking sad I’m so fucking sad these kids should be alive the people in Allen should be alive the people in every fucking mass shooting in the past week in the past month in the past year in the past decades should still be alive this country is sick this country is so fucking sick how do we keep doing this over and over and over and over again forever it never stops the fear never stops the grief never stops we don’t even have time to breathe anymore before the next one happens and it’s so exhausting and it’s so infuriating. Will I be next? Will my family be next? What about my friends? Where will the next bloodshed be? Maybe it's just the fragile, overly sensitive part of me that was kinds traumatised sitting in a cinema at 10 years old with the first star wars film I ever saw in cinema was episode 3 but I feel like we can have stories about order 66 without showing the deaths of children in 4K every time.

Maybe it's the white fragility in me that's upset by genocide or the part of me that's upset by the US's problem with mass shootings and thinks of mass shootings every time I see footage of order 66.

So, the UN thing is about how minors should not be prosecuted for having sex with *other minors* around their age. The far-right ran with trying to frame it as "the UN wants to make CSA legal" when that isn't at all what it is.

And you're so right about it being Infowars level conspiracy. Quick way to tell was that it mentioned Ian Miles Cheong, who is a terrible human being and notorious liar who multiple mass shooters have cited as an inspiration, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, the UN thing was incredibly reasonable and people need to not listen to far right propaganda on it being "dangerous" to children.

thank you for the extra information! honestly listening to knowledge fight and learning a lot about how infowars creates conspiracies has been really good for me being able to pick up on that kind of thing. it’s definitely not for everyone, but I think it’s highly valuable for teaching how propaganda works

BREAKING: A mass shooting has taken place outside of a Richmond, Virginia High School Graduation celebration.

Details:

- 7 shot outside the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia

- The shooting took place in Monroe Park after the Huguenot High School graduation

- 2 suspects have been arrested

- 3 suffered life-threatening injuries and 4 non-life-threatening

- 6 others were injured in the aftermath of the shooting, including 2 who fell, 1 who was hit by a car, and 3 who were treated for anxiety.

I think we can all agree, Democrat and Republican, that these shooting must be stopped.

The only disagreement is how we stop them. Please fix this America! Work together on sensible laws.

gotta love it when conspiracy theorists subvert your expectations. one of our coworkers (before she was fired) apparently was convinced that mass shootings at malls were fake and made up by the government in order to close all the malls in America. she doesn’t give a shit about guns, it’s all about those malls.

I wonder if there's been any research on how frequently guns show up in people's nightmares based on the number of mass shootings their country has.

Because I've been having a nightmare week, and I think at least half those nightmares involved getting shot/fighting to stop someone from shooting people.

Most of the shooters in my dreams were cops, so I wonder if research has been done about nightmares in fascist countries and how often representatives of the state feature as the main fear.
