so omegaverse is a weird one for me because it has a lot of potential to be something i really like, but the elements that appeal to me are things that no one ever talks or writes about, so it ends up falling completely to the wayside for me, and i focus on other tropes that are more immediately up my alley. so i don't actually have any real headcanons for them 🤔 also i don't know what you mean by non-traditional omegaverse! or at least what you mean by not alpha/omega. like alpha/beta or omega/beta or something??? i barely go here so i'm not sure!!!

i am still going to do my best here though even if i'm probably answering your questions wrong 💪 so ummm growing up in an omegaverse world, based on what i know, i feel like john would be pretty strict about likeeee covering their "scents" (pheromones?) and idk i think they'd all resort to stealing blockers all the time to keep it under wraps. if some monster got a whiff of them they'd probably be dead in no time, and sam and dean are excellent at covering their tracks so i'm sure it would extend here. i think it would breed a form of paranoia for them as a result, and maybe a kind of subconscious self-loathing? like it's such a hassle to smell like this and it makes them unbelievably vulnerable—and vulnerable is the worst thing a hunter can be. they might try to hide their uhhh is it called secondary gender??? whatever their a/b/o status is, take suppressants and avoid talking about it all because opening up about it invites danger.

as a result, the only people who'd know this information would be each other, which would be both an extra bond between them and a sword of damocles in its own right, because they hold potentially dangerous knowledge they can easily use against each other (or with each other, huehue). ALSO because of this, i think their intimacy with each other would feel more natural and real compared to other people, but i don't think they would learn this until much later in their lives—their complicated gender/sex feelings would probably make them very very weird(er) about intimacy (and sexual intimacy) because they're hiding from the world. and when they finally get together it would be like a lock clicking in place because for the first time they don't actually have to hide themselves. and whatnot.

anyway now that i've written this i'm starting to suspect you meant something like them both being betas. but i actually know 0 things about betas except that maybe they're just regular people 💔 so i think what i wrote was a bit more interesting than a shrug and an iunno sound so i'll leave this instead...?

So here's the post that started it all for anyone who didn't see.

ANYWAY here are more thoughts about them. These ARE canon to AMFMN, BUT as you asked, they're not about the plot of the story or anything like that. I headcanon Missa as a reaper in general (as many others do), not just as a fic thing. :]

It's not that Missa doesn't care about or use strategy like Etoiles, it's that his heart takes the wheel before his brain can in many cases, and therefore he frequently acts with little to no planning. No thoughts just Save His Loved Ones. In other words, in leisure time if he and Etoiles were to just. Sit down and talk strategy, plan something, etc? MWAH, chef's kiss. They're both as brilliant as they are powerful.

And they're both equally determined. Stubborn, if that's what you wanna call it. Missa will make anything his bitch for two reasons; (1) because it's for the people he loves & (2) because he'll be damned if he can't do this thing he really wants to do. Etoiles is the same way, but in addition to those two things, failure is just not an option to him, period. He'll keep at something even if it requires plans A through Z. You give them both the same goal? They will fuck up who and whatever is blocking the way to their goal.

In other words, I wouldn't call Missa a tryhard magnet. He IS a tryhard, he just doesn't have the (perhaps compulsive?) need to excell at everything like Etoiles.

Furthermore: Look at the way they both get when they DO fail. They beat themselves up, self-punish, and need a good while before they can shake off the loss. Though even once they do, they'll be quick to bring it up during similar situations in the future; be it to put themselves down, or to declare that they won't repeat that time again.

And a lot of what makes their dynamic and the way they put their heads together for something so enthralling is how Etoiles is an encyclopedia of combat, self-defense, and strategy and Missa has tons of unique life experience and psychological insight as a reaper. Not to mention most reapers are taught about the body's vulnerabilities and all that. In other words, Missa is an encyclopedia of where to hit and make it hurt, and Etoiles is the guy that knows how to make that hit hurt the worst and send the clearest message. Put their knowledge bases together? HOO. 😳

Missa is always wanting to get stronger, Etoiles is always scrounging for more knowledge that'll help him improve his performance in anything ever. In other words, calling back to the encyclopedias thing, they are 100% the Talks A Lot/Listens meme to each other (and it makes Phil swoon), they infodump to each other about the things they're most knowledgeable about because those things also happen to be exactly the kind of stuff they're always seeking out.

They both have a TEMPER. It's pretty hard to piss either of them off, but when something does? FUCK. God help you if you piss BOTH of them off. (Stares at the Federation and The Watcher and Ender King)

I am looking you in your cubito loving eyes and telling you these two are acrobatic as fuck. You put them up high, in midair, or on something bouncy? They fucking YEET. These two are so majestic in the air. They would divebomb you with every ounce of strength they've got and you would thank them. Can you IMAGINE them fighting Codes in the middle of the fucking air?? OUGH.

You can't tell me Etoiles wouldn't learn about reaper scythes and immediately start begging Missa to fight him with his entire reapussy because he thrives on fighting insanely strong opponents. He has an addiction to defying odds and going even further beyond. To fight a harbinger of DEATH?? Missa is like the finest cocaine to this man in the least shippy way possible.

Actually wait I'm cooking on that last bit, there's something about the concept of Etoiles being an aro king and Missa being someone who falls in love quickly.

I think they're also apologists for each other. Cucurucho is pissed at one of them and the other is like "your honor he simply got too silly. Your honor he was simply popping off."

I don't know what them doing parent stuff together with Chayanne & Pomme would look like but considering their kids are as determined as them to get stronger and protect their loved ones at all costs? It's either adorable because the kids are mini thems, or it's really fucking funny and chaotic because none of the four have a leash on them.

This one's probably the silliest of all so far but you cannot tell me Etoiles's gremlin ass wouldn't thrive on surprise attacking Missa bc Missa is so hilariously easy to startle. He gets to practice ambushing people and also Missa starts ranting at him in Spanish for being a bitch and he thinks it's funny.

Of all the duos you could make up of people on QI who each speak a different language, I feel like these two would use the translators the most. There'd rarely be English spoken between them, they'd stick to Spanish & French respectively and use the tech like it was intended.

Something something the angst of Etoiles slowly being corrupted by Code and Missa, being a reaper, is the only one on QI that can see/read souls and can see his soul changing or perhaps even dying the more Code he becomes.

max is scary about whole process of labour and charles promised that he would be there, but imagine charles is not there when it happens, maybe he’s racing and max is like “no, don’t tell him! i want him finally to win in monaco” and after the race charles got p1 and beautiful daughter and he’s like this emojis 😳🫣🥺😭

Awww anon yes I can see Charles being really protective, especially if it is their first baby.

I love the idea of Max going into labour on the day of the Monaco GP especially when Charles is on pole and has an excellent chance at taking the victory. Max knows how much it means to Charles to win his home race so doesn't want to tell him and thinks he can go through it alone even though he is terrified.

But imagine if Charles does find out and rushes to be with Max and whilst Max is feeling guilty Charles explains that a Monaco victory is absolutely nothing compared to the two of them getting to start a family 💕 It works out perfectly in the end because Charles wins the Monaco GP the following year and Max is there with their little baby girl to help daddy celebrate.

As usual: great chapter!! Loren and William’s chemistry is so well written and amazing! I want that energy in any relationship with a man now. It’s so sexual but like intimate and light and fluffy. Like just him kissing her shoulders when they reunite at the end of the night made me feel all giddy, and then her just wanting to be with him in a corner of a club, just cause she likes him.

Excited for the Paris trip and let’s hope Margot doesn’t embarrass herself too much. Like even if she’s probably a bit superficial and all, having a crush on guy (even if it’s also a surface level type of crush) and then you end up sleeping with him, but that night is the catalyst for him to realize that he’s still wants and needs this other girl (and he thinks of her while you are both fucking); that’s so embarrassing 😳 I would be mortified…

But at the same time, William never lead her to believe that they were more than a one night stand, and if it was agreed on, like can’t blame him. And he made pretty clear not just verbally, but his actions during that moment were detached, no intimacy, and purely primal/sexual…But I can’t blame Margot for being delusional and surely Isla hyping her up and William did not help!

Anyhow, you are great and thanks for providing us with a great story that just keeps growing and growing. Hope you don’t get tired of Loren and William even after this story. This is such an amazingly thoughtful note, Nonnie - I am not even sure I know where to begin. I just really appreciate knowing that the emotion is being felt (I am a very emotion-based person lol). You've brought up some really excellent points regarding Margot. She originally in my mind was only meant to be that catalyst to make William realize how much he was truly longing for Loren - she did her part and then I didn't really give her much thought beyond that. But then, I began to realize that she's young and maybe a bit impressionable - and she slept with William...so it's likely that she would have a lot of residual feelings from that, despite knowing deep down, she's not the one for him. Isla is sort of someone that is a bit careless with people's feelings so absolutely, her trying to orchestrate things between William and Margot was not helpful. It's was a last minute thought to have her watching him and Loren in the club, as it will lend itself to a very crucial moment later on.

I not entirely sure what I'm going to do once the Loren and William story ends. I have a lot of ideas for actual short blurbs (no mammoth 11k parts but actual short stories - I think I can do it 😆) - but sometimes it seems that the fics are sort of low-key flops, just in terms of interactions. They're just not hugely popular - and I'm ok with that - but I do put a ton of time into these (especially when I should be doing other things, but that's on me) and I was honestly weighing out whether I would keep writing on here or not.

But this - your note makes me think differently, and I am so thankful that you take the time to write in with your thoughts. The William x singer lived in my head for so long prior to ever finding Tumblr - I would love to get back to her someday.

F1 Re-Watch 2013: Round 6 - Monaco

Alrighty! Ticking another race off the re-watch list before we go away (and before I completely forget about this re-watch project being a thing).

According to the list I made to keep track of my watch through, this is the third last race I haven’t seen anything from, though Monaco being the procession it normally is most years idk if that’ll mean much. This was the first of Rosberg’s 3 Monaco GP wins, and I think there’s some late race chaos but apart from that I’m going into this completely blind, so let’s jump in!

ngl I go miss the pre-race graphic that had the world map before zooming in on the host race du jour, as I geography nerd I really enjoyed it

Okay, starting grid whiplash:

A Merc front row before it was cool (Rosberg pole, Lewis P2); Seb P3; Jenson P9, Jev P10.

Honestly, not that whiplash inducing, the beloveds have not been screwed over for once

Helmet watch: Lewis’ rainbow helmet visor is still the prettiest thing ever

I told my family I met someone on the Internet and I’m gonna fly to Chicago by myself and land there at midnight and get from the airport to the hotel … in the middle of the night. And then the next day, I’m going to meet that person in-person at my hotel even though I’ve never seen them or heard their voice. 😳 It’ll be fine. 🤣🤣

I got myself to Chicago and it was uneventful except that I couldn’t figure out which seat was mine on the plane. Ha ha ha ha ha I accidentally sat in “first class” on the first leg of my flight on one of those small jets. This is “first class”… and y'all paid extra for that?

Then on my connecting flight we were packed like sardines on a real jet and I accidentally sat one row behind the one where I was supposed to be sitting. I’m a derp.

The hotel was great but I’ve never heard of a hotel property being shared by two different brands. Granted they’re both owned by the same corporation but still both hotels were housed within the same building. I stayed in the Staybridge Suites and the other half of the hotel was Holiday Inn. “When you get off the elevator go left for Staybridge and right for Holiday Inn.”

Anyway…The facility was brand spanking new and staff was excellent, especially the housekeeping staff, so I highly recommend.

And guess what floor I was on? Yes, 7th floor, room 717.

The hotel was less than a mile from ALLSTATE Arena. It was an easy walk. I could see it from my hotel room window.

Before we headed over to the arena, we went to a Korean BBQ place. My first experience and it was charcoal barbecue, so there was an actual little fire pit in the middle of our table. We had the usual 5 million side dishes and bulgogi. It was delicious. The Korean owners were very nice and attentive. A group of youngish Korean men came in. They had lanyards on but I couldn’t see what was on them. Could they have been Yoongi's staff?? Maybe! Or just a group of coworkers from nearby…

Truly the absolute best part of the whole trip was meeting this group of crazy people! Y'all are the best and made this whole trip one of the most awesome memories of my life! I am so thankful and I love you guys! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

We got in line close to 5 o’clock at the entrance that was stated on our tickets. There were at least four entrances, each with lines this long that wound around the parking lot and around the building.

The doors opened a few minutes before 6:30 and the line moved very very swiftly. The venue was very organized except if you were parking a car… it was a little outta control for them ha ha, ha ha ha ha.

One of the things we had hoped we would be able to do would be snag some freebies from fellow Army’s, and they did not disappoint!

We did not bother to try to get any concert merch because the lines were ridiculously long and people had been in them since early morning. Some said most items were sold out by the time they reached the booth. I would have wanted a t-shirt and I’m sure those went fast.

Merch booths were also set up inside the venue, and those lines were also long. We just went ahead and found our seats and sat down and waited for the concert to begin.

The venue was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, I think Allstate Arena capacity is about 20,000 for concerts.

Our seats were fantastic. I’m sure those who chose general admission had a great time down there but that’s not for me.

Yoongi looked amazing even though he was not feeling 100%. He still sounded very good but his voice was a little rough at first.

No one told me that the flames they used during the performance would give off so much heat! I could feel it even from where I was sitting every time they blasted!

Probably one of my favorite songs during the whole concert was Burn It...

The audience barked throughout the concert and Yoongi smiled in acknowledgement. We saw only one concert goer wearing a wedding dress, but did not see any marry me Yoongi signs.

As you can see, we had matchy-matchy tangerine hat people in front of us. But black seemed to be de rigueur with lots of fishnets on the legs, arms and body, stomper boots and purple hair. Red chopsticks in the hair, cat ears, black kimonos with gold metallic designs, leather pants and skirts and of course a lot of fan made t-shirts and concert merch t-shirts.

As far as the diversity of the crowd there were people of all ages, colors and genders. Male Army were represented well, all ages and ethnicities.

After the concert we hiked up and down Mannheim Road trying to find food, all the hotel restaurants were closed. I think we were also in a post-concert daze. We ended up right back across from the venue at a take-out pizza place called Rosati's. It was the best pizza ever because we were starving and we stood there and ate almost the whole thing straight out of the oven. STRETCHY CHEESE ROCKS!!

I don't think post-concert depression has set in yet. I am still high from the past three days. IT WENT BY SO FAST! My trip home was not as smooth as the one getting to Chicago. My first flight was delayed 2 hours. They changed my gate 5 times. Its a big airport. I got my steps in that day. I was almost late for my connecting flight in Dallas. I had to run to that gate, they were paging me for the last time. They slammed the plane door as soon as I got inside. And then we waited almost another 2 hours to take off because of these storms that arrived to DFW at the same time I did:

As usual, I wish I had taken MORE pictures and video but I was watching as much as I could with my own eyeballs and it now seems like a dream. It was over too fast. I am satisfied I was finally part of the purple ocean on May 5, 2023 but now I need to see all seven of them which is now #1 on my bucket list. Using all my universe manifesting, wishing, prayers, chakras, astrological readings, tarot cards and kumbaya to make it happen in 2025-2026.

For uhhh no specific reason 😳 *cough cough*

-Swatch just adores taking care of you. Even after a day of tending to the needs of others, they still will put in effort to see you smile. Their energy level varies, but if they can't do it now, they'll do it tomorrow.

-Swatch also likes to make sure that you get delicious food, clothing you feel great in, quality products. They see a lot of well made items in their work, as well as the occasional cheap ripoff they have to turn away, so they certainly have standards to judge.

-Spamton on the other hand likes to take advantage of easy opportunities and salvage everything remotely good. He brings you everything he gets even an inkling that you'll like. He does however have pretty good judgement of what you generally like.

-The above does lead to the occasional disagreement...Swatch may get a little harsh in telling Spamton to stop wasting money. Both of them sometimes get a little insecure that they're not giving you good gifts (Spamton because he doesn't buy the most luxurious things, Swatch because they don't find the most personal). They work it out.

-They both have an artistic side.

-Swatch has learned a lot about art theory and tools, although they don't feel the most confident in going all out unless given guidance. Swatch does enjoy sharing tips though, and happily gives any to you or Spamton if desired.

-Spamton is pretty open to suggestion, but mostly he loves to just make whatever is on his mind. His favorite is to paint.

-Swatch will happily supply you with any art supplies you desire. They love to see your creativity shine. They even quietly stick around, hoping you won't mind if they watch you. Of course, they'll give you space if you want it. But they love to watch your process and to see your finished art.

-Spamton also likes to watch you work. He likes to see what you make, how you do it, and that you're having fun. He also loves making art with you, whether that's a collaborative painting, trading art, or just doodling together. When he's in the mood to be creative, he might ask you to join.

-So of course expect times for all three of you to create together. Maybe that's doodling funny and cute things together (Spamton has quite a sense of humor and Swatch likes to draw your favorite animals), or each of you completing a different stage of the same piece, or all painting different sections of the same canvas. Even if you're not the most artistic, they'd love to include you in the fun!

-Both of these guys have a tendency to get wrapped up in work or otherwise heavily focused and forget to take care of themselves. Please remind them to eat and to sleep. Bringing/cooking them meals or giving them quiet time to cuddle or sleep actually means a lot to them and helps them to feel better.

-Sometimes you might find the two of them napping together.

-Game nights can be quite chaotic, in a fun way. They’re both intelligent and quick to make up their own strategy for any game. They can both be quite competitive, although Swatch has more of a silent lurking and deception strategy while Spamton bluffs and takes risks. Play something that requires dealing with other players like Monopoly or Catan to watch them really get intense.

-Swatch is a deep thinker and excellent listener, while Spamton is great at relating topics and keeping conversation alive. So expect long conversations between the three of you, and talking about everything from how to find happiness to street crossing.

-Typically, Swatch and Spamton aren’t competitive with each other, nor do they work in tandem often. They generally just each do their own thing and try to find a good balance of one-on-one and trio activities.

-That said, they do ask each other for help in wooing you. Maybe that’s picking out the right gift, learning a new skill, or proofreading letters.

-Special occasions are an exception though. They try to plan so that they each get time with you or that all three of you can do something together, and making sure there’s enough variety for everyone to show their love in their own way.

What Can I Do? (Gawain x Reader, 18+)

Gawain was humiliated, and best of all, it was his own fault.

The young knight had typically treated himself in a careful way, especially after his encounter with the green knight. But when one's on a quest, things can slip through the cracks.

It happens, he knew it, but at the same time the pain of a hurt ankle overtook everything else, and he was just so mad about it.

Gringolot was irritated too in the pouring rain.

"Good boy, just a little further," urged Gawain as he tightened his heels on his horse. But the horse stopped dead.

"What is it?" Gawain carefully slid off the horse, and Grin used his head to point to a bright lie, cutting through the dark drizzle that held them both hostage.

"A house! Sharp eyes!" He praised, fully aware that he was talking to his horse. Half of it was the fact he'd been alone for seven days, and the fact that speaking with his closest friend, his horse only felt polite.

The two of them made their way through your murky front yard with relative ease, Gawain, in his typical fashion, walked around the back and put his horse in a vacant and dry-enough, looking barn.

Something shifted as he left Grin in the stall, and made his way around to the front door, groaning as he limped his way up the slipper stone stairs.

Only to have the heavy oak door swing open.

"Who goes there!" You screamed, making Gawain jump a step down on his bad ankle, bringing him to his knees. You were quite a fearsome sight in your nightclothes, wielding a gnarled stick you'd found in the woods that morning.

"Ah- It's just me! You have nothing to fear from me, my lady." You took in the stranger, a sopping mess of a man, slipping down to the base of your stairs. You tapped his shoulder with your stick.

"Do you swear?" You asked in the most grand voice you could muster. He was likely too cold to be a threat, but one could never be too careful.

"I swear!" he yelled, pushing his dark hair out of his face. The candlelight of your home didn't provide much illumination, but from what you saw it was an excellent face.

"Swear on the life of your horse!" You screamed, in spite of the howling winds.

"I love my horse! I swear!" He loves his horse. What a silly thing to say when you're begging for a room.

"Good...are you injured sir?" You took in his hunched position at the base of your stairs, and how the rain seemed to be pounding the man even more flat against he ground.

"I...am."

"What happened?" Maybe this wasn't the best time, but you needed to know if he would tell the truth.

'I was fighting a dragon! But then I tripped on a tree root."

"And the dragon didn't eat you?"

"He was too busy laughing, like the rest of the forest." There was an edge in his voice that you didn't recognize, but it was good enough.

"One night!" and with no ceremony, you stepped down the stone steps and wedged yourself under Gawain's arm and helped him up the stairs.

With little of your grace and well-honed poise, you dragged the man into the room and deposited him on your late father's favorite chair. Pulling back the bedsheets, you picked up how he was looking at you warily.

Why was he nervous? You were the one taking the risk!

"My Lady, where will you sleep?" He didn't want to be occupying your bed, but you laugh lightly. It reminded Gawain of bells.

"I'll be right here, I need to keep you warm, don't I?" He blinked at your words, "...In case of fever."

"Of course!"

"Sir, I'll pull out some clothes for you, and help you into bed. I doubt a bath at this hour would do either of us much good."

And you step away. The stranger nodded as he peeled off his soaking wet cloak, shirt and trousers. You were only still in the room to make sure that such a tall, formidable man didn't fall and injure himself even worse!

Grabbing your father's soft nightshirt, you remained with your eyes averted and hold out a hand to blindly hold the nightshirt.

You felt his eyes on you as he took it from your hand. You weren't sure if you liked the feel of his gaze or not.

When he cleared his throat, you turned back around and gave a wide smile, likely not something he'd want from a stranger, but he got it nonetheless.

"Allow me." You said as you pulled back the sheets, and held his freezing hand to help him balance into bed. His ankle, as you saw, would keep him here for the next few days at least, but nothing about the injury looked serious.

He lingers before letting go of your hand.

You go around the room and blow out one of the few candles you had lit, but he stops you before you reach the final, by his bed.

"Sir?" You asked softly, holding your breath as the stranger took your palm and raised it to his mouth in a chaste kiss.

Oh.

"Tell me that you need me."

"I need you." He said, holding your hand as if it was something delicate, and not a tool you use for labor.

"Are you cold?" You asked, even though you heard him plain.

"I'm cold." He needed someone, anyone, to crush him with their body weight, to hold him until he was home, or to just fuck him until his brain stopped working.

You, alone in this house, needed the same.

"What can I do?" You asked, tightening your grip on Gawain's hand, he simply leaned up and pressed his lips to yours.

You blink for a moment, before leaning back down to kiss him once more. This was going too fast, it didn't feel real.

Gawain pulled at your wrist, urging you to climb on top of him. You grinded your hips against his.

You gasped as you felt to large, cold hands grip at your ass, and pull you back.

The traveler gave you a dark look, hungry, as he tightened his grip on your hips.

"You want me?" You asked once more.

"I want you." He said as he pulled your hips up to his face. The sheer anticipation of knowing what his sharp nose might feel like on the softest part of you only gave you chills.

"Careful," you whisper as your injured knight placed you over his mouth, glazed expression hitting right to your core.

Who were you kidding, you were soaking for him. Your late mother, the former lady of this house had always taught you to be mannerly.

And you were nothing if not a good host.

Your guest dove into you, desperate and relentless, gripping your hips like they were the only thing keeping him tethered to his bed. His tongue flicked, he gulped and sucked, only getting more enthusiastic the more you wiggled and writhed above him.

You were thankful at that moment you'd put your guest in the bed that had a bedframe, so you could have something to cling on to while you rode his face.

"Can you breathe?" You asked, trying to hang above his mouth for a moment, but he just groaned in response, to substitute for a yes.

He pulled your hips up, and back down, the scratch of his beard earning a yelp of pleasure. You vaguely felt fingers enter your wetness as your guest saw fit to drink you dry.

You writhed, you moaned, you yelped, and he didn't let up. The handsome stranger was having his way with you, and you decided even if he was dangerous, it didn't quite matter.

You unravel into his mouth the same moment a white crack of lightening lit up the room.

He didn't let go of you for a second, he kept going. Just like a knight should.

But you were spent, boneless, and had given him exactly what he needed. It couldn't have been an accident that he'd wound up at your door while looking for the Holy Grail.

Gawain would wait until tomorrow to ask, now he just needed be near you

The traveler slowly lowered you down catching you tight against his chest. His heart was beating quickly, but it couldn't have been a match for yours.

Running a hand over your soft hair, he pulled the covers back, and slowly rolled to his side, holding you in his arms like you'd known each other for years.

"I..." you trailed off as his large, now-warm hands found their place on your stomach.

"I think I've been looking for you," said Gawain into your shoulder blades, "You should come back with me."

"I will." You reply, before letting the fog of sleep overtake you.

You still didn't know his name.

A/N: OMG ANON AJDKKS I feel like that tiktok audio where it’s like “I’ve been waiting years for someone to ask me about my theories” bc fantasy suga hcs are some of my most self indulgent :’) by complimenting my interests and knowing them, you are SO cool - I’ve done some fantasy suga before, but I am always up for more. Here is the link to my other fantasy suga hcs but I’ll focus on one of my many other ideas for this! apostates and the circle don’t exist in this, but some people still fear magic. This is very much me rambling, there is almost no structure to this at all and i apologise,, maybe i should write a more structured drabble about it one day lmao 

Title: A Mage’s Love

Sugawara Koushi was never thought he would be one for breaking rules, especially with being a mage involved with the royals, but as the adviser to the more adventurous of the royal siblings, he was in for a slight surprise

He came from a family of mages, the family was fairly welcomed in by the royals of their kingdom, they did not fear magic as some did. They welcomed magic and saw the benefits they could have to using it. 

Many of the towns people often feared the mage families that had come seeking a safe kingdom, but they trusted the judgement of their royals and soon came to welcome and accept all of the mages into their land. 

Sugawara’s parents acted as court healers for the King and Queen and as a result of that, his family had very close ties with the royals and he often spent his childhood with the youngest of the noble siblings. 

As Koushi grew up, he often aided his parents in between his magic and general studies lessons, he grew knowledgeable in healing magic and the uses of different herbs and excelled in all of his classes. 

While he was a fairly well behaved child having grown up around the palace, he had a small mischievous streak that was generally sparked by you, his closest friend and youngest royal sibling. 

Having years between you and your siblings meant that for the time being, a few less responsibilities fell onto you and allowed you and Koushi to, for the most part, enjoy growing up together. 

His feelings for you grew over time but as your appointed guard/adviser it was difficult for him to ever imagine a world in which you two would end up together. 

You trained together, learnt together, explored together, you made life difficult for a few of the older advisers together, but it was all in good fun, and they grew to accept that you two did things in your own way sometimes. 

You had caused a few scares growing up, the way you would disappear to explore a small region away from the castle or how Koushi had many times been woken up by you in the night to go exploring - or he was often an over-worker when testing you spells and medicines and if he was not found in bed, he could be found asleep at the desk in his study, these nights you generally brought a blanket with you to place over him and left him to his rest. 

But, the night escapades that would ensue when he wasn’t over-working himself, generally resulted in a trip to the forest that surrounded the kingdom, it was dense and large and very few knew how to navigate it without a map. 

Over your many visits, you had managed to memorise a few paths to clearings that allowed you to star gaze or spar with little obstacles

During these visits it has resulted in unwanted visitors on more than one occasion, you were only young teens when a group approached you looking for some easy money, and using you to get ransom money was a golden opportunity for them. 

This interaction had caused injury to both of you and the offending party, and resulted in Sugawara carrying your limp body away from the now knocked out attackers thanks to a simple spell he knew. 

This spurred something in him that desired to learn more offensive magic, he knew how to heal and create barriers, but that wouldn’t always help you and he now knew that. 

His parents had been apprehensive to teach him more offensive marriage growing up in case mages were seen as a threat again by the people, but surely if he was learning it in order to protect the royals and the towns people, it should be okay, right? Many towns people would disagree on why such a young mage would need offensive magic, but they all had also met Sugawara through his town visits with you and would soon come to understand he was simply doing it for your own and all of their well=beings. 

That night he had to tend to yours and his own wounds in the middle of the forest while hoping that no one else would approach. 

He knew cared for you, that was clear, it was clear to everyone around you two, even in some instances you noticed how he worried for your well-being before his own when fighting 

He was always quick to be at your side and back you up, He thought that if he couldn’t be with you romantically because he was not born of royal blood, then he would try his hardest to be there for you in any instance he could.

The relationship between you two started out as a secret, you spent all day and night together anyway so what was a few more fleeting moments of hand holding or soft smiles when no one else was looking?

But as most secrets go, someone usually notices and in this case it was the kind hearts of yours and Koushi’s mothers.

The two were close, they had known each other since before you both existed and were thrilled at the prospect of having children the same age when they had you both within the same year.

And obviously they spoke of your futures, Suga was always sweet to you as a child and you were to him, they felt just as childlike imagining how cute it would be if you and Koushi were to grow up and fall in love.

So when they caught onto you two, it was a very supportive moment, albeit a bit ominous to begin with

You had both been called to your mothers study and upon arrival you noticed that Sugawara’s mother was present as well

They treated the meeting as a chance to discuss your future expectations concerning marriage, which then led into their plan of explaining it was okay for you to marry someone not of royal blood as a subtle way of them showing their support for you both.

You were less secretive from those moments, you still kept most affections to private times as to appear more mature in public. 

Especially compared to the cheesy pickup lines, nicknames and dopey smiles you would throw at each other when alone. 

Honestly your parents can’t believe their childish predictions of you two getting together would ever come true. 

His parents taught him the symbolisation connected to flowers growing up and he often uses them to convey his feelings and love towards you. 

He was one of the kindest and most caring men you had ever known in the entirety of your life, and the fact that people still feared mages throughout the world confused you, but this mage’s love was yours and he was with you for all eternity.

You merged the two. The tropes I wanted to read from you the most. And you delivered a glorious piece of fiction that had me squealing and giggling and making all sorts of ungodly noises at the screen.

I loved every single second of this (man, I say this a lot, but I swear I mean it every fucking time), but I'm still gonna go ahead and spew my feelings all over the place. 😁

Man, this story did a number on me. It projected me all the way back into my shitty first apartment with the whole "this may be a dumpster but it's my dumpster" setup. And it also brought back to many memories from my WOW days.

The banter was superb. The dig at Soul Eater had me in stitches (how dare he). The Final Fantasy references. All the little pop culture references you put in there just made my day.

Loved that you made this still be a pro hero AU and gave him a good reason to be always so available. At the start I was like "weird that his handle is not Dynamight" cause I thought this was a quirkless AU and then I was like Ooooooooohhhh. Made me so happy. I do love thirsting after pro hero Dynamight.

You did an excellent job at portraying the online non relationship progression. The casual escalation while avoiding to label anything or to say too much cause "this is a stranger on the internet, right?". While at the same time having your whole day revolving around the time you get to interact with that person again? You did this trope justice, Jo, even before the smut started.

Some parts were emotionally heavy and hit so good. The insecurities, the hesitation with them pictures while Bakugo was like "yeah sure, here i am in all my glory". The whole conversation he had with his friends??? Oof, so good.

Speaking of... I knew it was coming and yet... I died a little inside when it happened. Poor guy, broke my heart (and maybe I laughed at him a bit). But tbh, mental cockblocking and all, every fucking smut scene in this was so fucking hot. Seeing him so thirsty for us? So desperate from a single picture??? Yes, please. I'll never get tired of Bakugo "'m not gonna last" Katsuki.

I dunno why I made him a pro on this tbh, I think it was that idea of having him be like “normal” and not swept up in the whole hero fame etc. and the idea of a Pro-Hero wanting us like that? Just my hearttt😩
