Book Update:

If ya care lol. I have reached 20k words 🥳 I'm not sure how long this will be, but im shooting for under 40k, for sure. I'm almost at the half way point which works.

Somehow I can crank out fics almost like it's nothing but agonize over every word I put into my original writing lol.

I've made Zora shy, only because it fits with my whole Theme. But it's also easy to get into my head too. Too many great books are ruined by an annoying MC and I hope you fall in love with Zora as much as I have.

Entry 4 of Le Writers Masterlist

If I remember correctly (famous words before Nerdie is completely wrong), we first bonded over Din Djarin and Loki because this was our glorious purpose we were burdened with and The Way. She enjoyed my version of Din at the time (he came prepared and used his tools) and I was introduced to her Loki running a nightclub. (We were robbed, there needs to be random ass third season where he runs a nightclub.)

My first recommendation of her work is of course is her Be My Little Darling series. Featuring Loki and a black female reader as his second in command, it follows odd happenings at the club with feelings between the two. There are so many twists and turns and Mega builds the tension between Loki and the reader beautifully.

My second recommendation has to be my boy Kevin Atwater. Do I watch Chicago PD for this man? Yes, yes I do. Have Mega and I talked about him at length, making others possibly giggle at how serious we were? Yes. Her one shot Fall Into You stems from Kevin not only being a police officer but landlord who actually came to fix something in your apartment. The fic takes it from there and now every time I watch a Chicago PD episode I wonder, "Is Atwater not on screen right now because he's laying some other pipe in his apartment building? Was that included as one of the perks? How are the jobs in Chicago?"

My final recommendation is about the man, the assassin, the White Wolf with a vibranium arm and a smile that could kill: James 'Buck-Nasty" Barnes. Buck Nasty will always stick with me because that is what Anthony Mackie called Sebastian during one of their many crazy ass interviews they were paired together for. Always good for a laugh. It will never not be funny. Her series It's a Little Warm is just so sweet and sexy. Also demonstrates why Bucky will always be invited to the cookout, no questions asked.

I have her Masterlist here, she writes for not only Marvel but many different TV and movie fandoms too.

Mega is hilarious, always finds the best memes. I feel like she told me where she gets them, but I forgot again so it's just going to be her secret now. 🤣 She's supportive of other writers and has been a great resource helping other black writers find each other. I love her and I find that this will be the best way to make her cry with affection. 🥹

Has this been done: a villain who is pro respectability politics.

Think about it: A villain who puts down their own community by abandoning and punishing those who don't fit their standards. All in an attempt to get acceptance from those who will never accept them. That's some good villain material.

Also I hate respectability politics with every fiber in me. There ain't nothing respectable about it.

The most menacing villains to me are the ones who represent real life evil people. Like Frollo for fundamentalists and Tighten for incels.

There's probably an obvious example i'm missing. Please give me any villains who fit my idea. Also don't list real life examples because that would be too easy.

i love venom (2018) a lot, it’s my go-to movie when i’m bored or sad, i have seen it many many times. i saw it again a week or so ago with a bud and finally had the opportunity to pen down this lovely au i’ve been thinkin bout

i’ve got a much more fleshed out sketch of how this au plays out. not sure if i’ll write it yet

anyway some bullet points

noir (called, ofc, noir) arrives on earth-138 in the 1920s. his first host is robbie and they basically go through the venom movie, where noir slowly learns to love earth and humanity and all that jazz. up until the 50s or so they’re an investigative reporter and occasionally a scary vigilante superhero!

when robbie is killed (not ewaf style. i forbid it), it fucking devastates noir and he host-hops for a bit, doing fun anarchy things to keep up robbie’s legacy but also losing a few morals here and there. he can do a little murder and eat nazis as a treat

the symbiotes arrive en masse and osborn infects humans with them to turn into his fascist riot police army

through vampire-hunting-esque shenanigans, hobie and noir meet, and strike up a tenuous truce to fight the government. hobie does not like him at first, but noir very much does ;)

cue a slow burn gothic romance between a freedom fighter and a devoted monster <3

one time i watched megamind and found myself imagining a version of the movie where roxanne accidentally got the superpowers and megamind fell for her while training her to use them.

then i went and wrote a book about it.

VILLAIN COMPLEX is a megamind-inspired hero x villain romance. After killing the hero Storm Warning, Julian a.k.a. Citadel learns that the hero's powers have passed on to an ordinary woman named Charotte. The leader of Julian's villain team wants the power stolen from her, but Julian is convinced he can persuade her to join the villains.

He pretends to be connected to the dead hero and offers to train her, but it doesn't take long for him to get swept up in her fierce determination and unrelenting kindness. And as his two identities threaten to collide, he's forced to reassess all the choices that let him down his current path.

speaking of megamind and weird alien anatomy, i was looking through some of my old headcanon doodles yesterday

i realized that one of my concepts was that instead of megamind's head actually housing an enormous brain (which irl would cost an ENORMOUS amount of energy to maintain with diminishing returns), he actually has a fairly human-ish sized brain.

instead, his skull is somewhat concave and most of the flesh in his forehead is actually adipose tissue similar in structure and function to a dolphin's melon. and also his sinuses are enormous and extensive and they have phonic lips similar to a dolphin's in addition to his larynx, so he can make dolphin-like clicks/whistles that sound like they're coming either out of his nose or through the center of his forehead.

the phonic lips are circled in red. as you can see i gave him quite a lot of them, so he can probably make a whole bunch of weird alien sounds.

i can't decide whether i want his melon to be squishy like a beluga or more rigid like most other dolphins. logically, the more rigid melon probably makes the most sense, but the idea of megamind having a squishy head is just so FUNNY to me.

The Lady in Black

Part 3 of Original Writing, enjoy this short story!

The Lady begins with a slow melody. It is soft and light, and it reminds you of spring time on a hill in the countryside. A happy melody that fills up your mind with happy memories of childhoods spent chasing after the ice cream truck.

You don’t think of the outside world with your

boss’ mood swings, your kid’s missing toys, nor your husband picking a fight on the way over.

Her harmony joins in. A quiet, unassuming accompaniment to the melody as if a breeze ruffles your hair on that hill you dreamt of. You place your hand in your husband’s. He turns to you with

a goofy grin like the one he gave you when he proposed to you. He lifts your hand to his mouth and kisses it just as soft as the music.

The keys shift and alternate in tempo. The pianist digs into the notes with enough force to rock her shoulders back. The Lady’s sound grows richer, deeper…sexier. You cross your legs. The woman next to you in an ill-fitting bronzed dress waves her fan hard enough to cool down the entire opera house. Your husband shifts in his seat. You look over as he pulls on his tie and clears his throat.

The tips of your fingers hum. You feel and see everything on a visceral level. You uncross and recross your legs. Your husband’s hand finds your leg. Your eyes find his. He licks his lips. His

other hand smoothes your hair behind your ear and he leans in for a perfect kiss.

Your blood races through your ears in time with the Lady. The spotlight brightens on Her and the people around you squirm, move, and make pleasant guttural sounds. Your husband nibbles.

The Lady cools down with a single sustained note. The tension in the room takes on a mind of its own. That single chord rocks through the room and connects to each person. The pianist begins a rift on the melody. It increases in tempo and rhythm. It’s too fast to keep up with.

You push your husband off of you. The notes reach down to the recesses of your heart. It tugs on the regret and resentment. It tugs on the parts you hide behind smiles, explanations, and a casual wave of the hand. The Lady found another you.

The wet heat of blood sprays across your face. The lady in bronze slumps in her seat. Your husband calls you something foul and disgusting. You slap him. He slaps you back. He wraps

thick fingers around your throat and squeezes. You loosen a shoe, reach down, and drive it up and into your husband’s skull.

On the Lady’s decrescendo, your senses dim. Your hand comes away from your side, bloody and oozing. You fall to your knees as the last resounding note fades away.

The Lady reaches a crescendo. You jump over your chair to the penguin with a bowtie who repeatedly kicked your seat the whole night. He pulls your hair. You break his nose and poke out

his eyes. The room erupts into a chaotic ballet of anger and aggression. Blood flies through the dark air. Spit and other flying liquid hurl across rows and aisles.

The pianist stands, bows, and exits stage left.

Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate is NOT made by AI

Listen y'all what we're NOT going to do is make shit up and accuse the writers of Megamind Rules / Megamind Vs The Doom Syndicate of using AI to make the scripts. I've been following them on twitter since before the show was even announced; they are against AI as it directly impacts their livelihoods and there was an entire team of writers for the show/movie. Just because you don't like the concept or animation isn't enough reason to just blatantly lie; Brent Simons, Alan Schoolcraft, Eric Fogel, and the rest of the team for sure put their hearts into it. It's not their fault they got such a small budget that makes it look crunchy. The Doom Syndicate were also ALWAYS a concept that existed; they were enemies removed from the original film late enough that they're all over the Art Of book and the 2010 video games. And YES Megamind is isolated and awkward, but the existence of the Doom Syndicate in his past is NOT impossible by any means-- it is entirely possible to feel absolutely alone in a large group of people that make you feel inferior or unsafe. When he said in the movie "it was me and Minion against the world" what he means is Minion was his main support growing up. It would be impossible to have no adults in his life even isolated in a prison, and other villains would absolutely be trying to use his smarts to their advantage. Again, just because the animation is crunchy is no reason to just make shit up and blame the writers of using AI; perhaps the AI is picking up that plot because THIS CONCEPT ALWAYS EXISTED and has fueled countless fanfiction and fan rp blogs that said AI models stole from. :) Thanks for playing!
