“Sometimes he doesn’t remember.”
A little fic inspired by @cranberrytea451 ‘s concept for a Scar comic. I may come back to this at some point but I like it well enough now to share :)
Note: if repetition bothers u this fic is not for u
Warnings: body horror - memory lapses - self harm (graphic) - depictions of mental distress - loss of time, somewhat graphic gore
edit: accidentally swapped his eyes in the fic if u read an alt version somewhere. He is blind in his right eye.
Sometimes…he doesn’t remember.
He doesn’t remember why it’s so cold. Why he’s so hungry. He doesn’t remember how he came to be here or where that even is.
And he.
Doesn’t remember…
It’s dark in twilit glow and so cold. Yet for some reason it’s darker to his right.
He lifts his hand and follows it. He shuts his left eye and only meets darkness.
Why can’t he see? Why can’t he see out of his eye?! Why can’t he open it? Why does it hurt when he tries?!
His fingers tremble as they reach up and find the stitches and his stomach churns while his mind aches.
Holy shit someone sewed his eye sh-
Where is he?
Why can’t he see?
Theres stitches by his fingers.
He digs in while his working pupil trembles in its socket. No. No he can’t. He can’t see.
Why is it empty?!
The lid that he pries into is hollow and sunken with no orb below for his fingers to touch.
He lost his eye. It’s gone it’s gone. Gone gone empty and it hurts.
His right ear twitches as his stitches pop.
What’s going on?! He can’t!
He can’t remember…
His face hurts and there’s a warm liquid leaking down his cheeks. From his eye. Is he crying?
No that’s not it but it is. The liquid that oozes down his right cheek is thicker than the freezing flow of his left.
His right pointer and middle fingers are warm and wet.
Where…
There’s a slick sound as he pulls them from his oozing socket and his sunken lid sticks to his bloody digits. It makes his aching empty soul roll.
What the fuck happened to his eye?!
What happened to him?!
He reaches up to hold his head only to find more confusion there. There’s stitches on his scalp, there’s stitches on his scalp and he doesn’t have his eye, he doesn’t have his ear, what happened what happened what
Where the fuck even is he?
He can’t fucking remem-
His face hurts. There’s cool liquid draining from his right eye that stings and aches and makes him want to cry and scream. Yet he has no energy and his anxiety spikes at the thought of causing so much noise.
His left cheek is cold with a frozen trail. He stands in a twilit forest of aspen and snow, the sky an ominous black.
There’s stitches by his left hand.
What… why are there stitches? His left hand is on his scalp and there’s stitches. Why. Why are they there. Why are they there.
It aches when his irritation and confusion leads to his fingers digging into the wound. Why was he wounded?
Why are there stitches?
Why couldn’t he see out of his right eye?!
He couldn’t…
He’s kneeling in a snowy twilit aspen forest with the sky an ominous black that drips flakes of snow like water from stalactites…
Why is he thinking of stalactites?
His head hurts and his hand is warm and wet. There’s…a wound on his head. Yet he feels numb. He knows it’s there and that it hurts but. He just.
It just…is.
When he reaches up he blinks owlishly at the pink stained snow before him. His…
There’s a flap of skin peeling off his scalp. It pulls at the stitches at his forehead and brow, and one’s behind his ear. It hurts.
Why can’t he see from his right eye?
His head aches and it’s wet and tacky when he reaches up to hold it.
There’s flesh peeling from his scalp…
Flesh… He’s so hungry.
He can’t remember.
It’s so cold… and he twitches at every sound. Out of the trees. It’s not safe here. Why why. Why does he know that why is he so confused why can’t he fucking remember!
His head burns as he grabs at it and silently screams into the painfully cold snow next to him. He doesn’t understand what’s happening! Where is he? Why?!
Why does it hurt so much?!
He’s crying…
He…doesn’t know why.
There’s…there’s not time for that.
His working eye finds a spool of thread and needle in the snow next to him. His face hurts… his head hurts.
He’s so hungry.
He only moves when the numbness settles completely. When the world feels like little more than a fuzzy dream…nightmare.
The sheet of ice in front of him answers his questions. He doesn’t…feel anything. He thinks he should but there’s no time for that. No energy.
His face is wet with his own blood, both from his torn lid of his empty socket and the gore of his scalp.
He thinks it should hurt when he sees his reflection, that it does, but he’s too cold, too hungry, too exhausted to feel it. He both recognizes himself and doesn’t.
He doesn’t understand.
But he can’t stay here.
His cold hand trembles in exhaustion when he takes up the needle and spool of thread for makeshift stitches. The reflective ice makes a decent enough mirror while he sews himself back together.
His hands pause at his eye, the fresh thread already pulling at his skin, too thin to not cut into it.
Why…
Where is his eye?

Post canon homestuck crew play Dungeons and Dragons
Karkat and terezi
Co dms
Unstoppable when actually working together
Terezi will get sidetracked messing with karkat
Karkat trying to write a deep and well fleshed out campaign that’s thematically resonant vs terezi’s desire for chaos and traps and trying to “trick” her players FIGHT
Terezi believes in karma and will make the world bend to this
Karkat is trying to set up romance arcs and argues about how it adds to the theming
Dave draws them fanart of their characters. Terezi loves it while karkat argues about accuracy before admitting yes he also appreciates it
Calliope also does fanart and karkat praises her skill and accuracy unlike some people
John
Arcane trickster rogue
Forest gnome
Just a goofy little guy!
Mostly just playing to have fun, starts off with a fun but simple character who develops over time
Ends up SUPER invested and taking this so so seriously
Karkat worked a dramatic reveal into the, in his words, “bare ass bones two paragraphs that a fucking wiggler could have written backstory” and John did not see it coming and loved it
Goes head to head with terezi a lot on her various traps she designs for them. She is getting more and more absurd with it. Karkat had to talk to her about breaking the world building with things she’s introducing. He is the only rogue. Send help.
Rose
Drow warlock
Tries to justify picking drow as anything other than she just thought it was cool
Nearly went old ones for patron but settled on archfey for story reasons
Has a 10 page lore document detailing her tragic past and her toxic relationship with her patron
It became 15 pages after going back and forth with karkat for a bit and adding even more
Only her and one other person are taking the romance arcs seriously and they become karkat’s favorite players
Tries playing morally ambiguous but terezi can be annoying about that and claims it’s just “the consequences of her actions”
Her and karkat both get very very into the scenes between her and her patron, the drama! The acting! Dave is uncomfortable and karkat brushes it off, it’s not like him role playing as his sister’s abusive girlfriend is weird. It’s in fact very important to the plot Dave
Has written fanfic of the campaign
Jade
Dragonborn barbarian
Path of the beast
Don’t ask me I just know
Her GLEE when she says “I’m gonna rage :D”
ANIMAL COMPANION! She nearly went ranger just for that but knew she wouldn’t have as much fun. Found a way to get one anyway.
It was harder naming her animal companion than her character
Having fun and likes the problem solving side of things, but likes breaking things with her massive strength just as much
Terezi likes to throw stuff at her, both traps and encounters, and finds it funny if she can just wreck her way through
“See John that’s how you deal with a pressure plate trap”
Takes the rp side of things very seriously
Once argued with Karkat over if her favorite npc would do that and cursed him out
Has read roses fanfic of the campaign
Dave
Plays a teifling with grey skin and orange horns
“What are you talking about karkat this is just my dude, don’t you like him?”
Hellus Jeffus
He’s a valor bard, eventually multiclasses paladin
Starts out just trying to mess with people but like John starts getting into it, though he tries to down play it
Have hellus more of himself than he realized and it’s making him face things about himself
Eventually hellus self sacrifices to save the party in this deeply intense moment. There were tears, Dave was wrecked, they went on a whole quest to revive him. It was touching and karkat is smug
Dave might have worked through some things
Jane
Halfling cleric
Her and John are small buddies!!!
Started out life but wasn’t having a lot of fun with it so with terezi’s permission switched to war or tempest with later s few levels in fighter
Her John and Jade are the biggest front liners, John’s character ends up really close with both of them as it’s easier for the rogue to bond with the person giving them sneak attack
Jade and jane’s character have an in game arm wrestling match
Took a bit to get into the rp side of things but eventually got the hang of it
Roxy
Tabaxi, easily, it’s so obvious
After much deliberation settles on glamour bard (though wizard and rogue were tempting for the joke, she wanted to branch out)
So many horny bard jokes but very little actual follow through, karkat gets frustrated by this as she’s all this talk but isn’t pursuing any of the romance options he’s giving her
She has SECRETS! She is HIDING THINGS!! Her cheery persona is a FASADE!!!
Cue complaining to karkat about how hard it is to wait to tell the others about her secrets and him threatening violence if she tells anyone before the in game reveal
She tells jake
Lots of egging on Dave and helping him with his fucking around
The BOND between her and Dave!!! They are the duo to end all duos. Team rocket type shit. There is nothing stronger than the bond between the bards of the party. My theory is it has to do with trading bardic inspiration.
Dirk
Half elf Druid circle of spores
Wildfire seemed fun to him but wasn’t as good
Wasn’t originally planning on being a Druid but after going over all the classes he liked all the customization and decisions that go into Druid like prepared spells and such
Didn’t really think about his backstory much, just improved something. He keeps improving new additions and it’s getting more and more elaborate and complicated. He has multiple hidden and long lost siblings by this point. Still doesn’t write any of this down. If he messes a detail up he justified it with more improv.
Yes his character has spiked up red hair and sunglasses. Don’t question how the Druid got sunglasses karkat.
Really likes the tactics side of things, he’s even pitched a few things to terezi she updated and later worked in
Sometimes works on plans and strategies out of game or making a million back up characters that play off the others in interesting mechanical ways
Is considering becoming a dm some time
Jake
Needed some help making his character, he just didn’t know where to start
Eventually after much discussion settles on a teifling bladesong wizard
Wanting to get away from his usual adventurer style Roxy helped with the backstory and they came up with this evil scientist raised in a cult who’s good hearted but was never taught right and wrong
He gets very into playing him and his moral struggle but can lean a little too good for his backstory, karkat points this out and Jake swears to get better at it
Dave pitched a lot of names for them and it was eventually settled on “Bernard Gunn” even though he has a sword. Jake just likes how it sounds
“Why is he blue jake?” “…..uhhh” “why is he blue?”
Calliope
SHE LOVES THIS SO MUCH
Teifling Druid with a focus on healing
Circle of shepards
Not a troll color pallet like Dave though, honestly it might get a bit trickster
Beautiful backstory that she coordinated with one of the others to make joint. The most obvious choice is Roxy but I think it was actually jade, Jane or John.
She gets so into it you guys, like so into it
Gives at least one dramatic speech completely on the fly
The other character who takes karkat’s romance arcs seriously and his other favorite player
Has also argued with terezi about world building and consistency. This may put her above rose in karkat’s eyes
Was also allowed to read rose’s fanfiction and offered full on reviews
Also considering going into doing but for the opposite reasons to Dirk
Vriska
Fairy artillerist artificer with a dip in war magic wizard
Min maxxed to hell and back
(Technically there was a better race, but fairy has its own advantages and she couldn’t resist)
An elaborate backstory too with some secrets of her own, I’m thinking full on lost princess
Yes she is That Player, you know the one
Has nearly been kicked multiple times and now won’t leave on principle
Not the best at sticking with the party and not just doing whatever she wants, but suprisingly Dirk has been able to talk her into it with his talk of tactics and playing smart
Second most effective is John who just looks at her like “vriska you’re not making this very fun :(“
Kanaya
Fire genasi ranger
Really tried to get into it but this just isn’t her thing so eventually decided to leave the group
Karkat came up with a fun story reason for her to leave and eventually brought her character back as an Npc
Did help rose make a cosplay of her character, after which John, Calliope, and Roxy wanted to make ones too
Vriska eventually tried to “manipulate” into helping her make one for her character

Here's my full post of Rayne which I will direct future related posts to. I will tag her with #TavRayne if anyone wants to start following along with her journey. She is my Tav OC from my first finished playthrough of BG3 and she is a Tiefling Sorcerer with Draconic Bloodline. I had this character made for a dnd game for a while but I never got to play her and then when Baldur's Gate 3 launched, I had my chance of playing her this way and I had lots of fun roleplaying her.
Her backstory was slightly changed between the original dnd story and the BG3 version so that it fits better with the setting, but I kept most of it the same.
It's pretty long, but I decided to put it here in case anyone might like to know about her more. I am not the best with descriptions sometimes and I was still trying to be brief, I also did not make her story while checking if any of it is connected to lore or not, I went along with what I thought was an interesting idea for a character, and the dnd sessions I was part of didn't require full knowledge of all of the books that contain the lore. In case anyone may feel like something doesn't feel lore accurate.
She was raised in her first years by her family that consisted of her father that started her sorcerous bloodline by entrapping the soul of a dragon in secret, her mother that was partly coerced into a marriage with her father and 3 siblings that were close to her age but not allowed to see her.
Although on the surface, it seemed like a family of a powerful Sorcerer that is successful, in reality, Rayne was raised for one purpose only, which she was not aware of yet. Her connections to her siblings and even to her mother were frayed in order for her to train her abilities, and although she received praise an approval for being able to overcome any challenge in her training, she would usually sneak away to play with her siblings as well.
One day, they decide to play a game where they each present something secret to each other, and she decides to bring her father's spellbook which she always sees but isn't allowed to look into. Because she was taught how to write mostly infernal and primordial and mostly spells, once she opens the book and decides to tell her siblings what she found, she finds a lot of sacrificial ritual spells and learns of her father entrapping a dragon's soul and using his successors of infernal heritage that would gain the draconic power to absorb their power and maintain his own, where one successor that has inherited the draconic power would be trained to be the strongest and then used as the primary sacrifice, while the siblings are used as collateral for ensuring the success of the ritual. The ritual also requires a type of lettering on the body of the main sacrifice, and Rayne already had it done. She half doesn't believe that they would actually be sacrificed, but ultimately tries to devise a plan with the siblings to find out more and what they can do in their situation.
In the end, the father was already close enough for the ritual to commence, and when he sees his book missing, he transports his kids in the ritual and starts it. Because the ritual also needs Rayne and anyone in her place to be willing with the transfer, it ruins the ritual and instead makes her powers go haywire and burn down the entire building they were under. She wakes up only to see ash everywhere and nobody in sight, and she stays there for an indeterminate amount of time trying to process what just happened until a fearful group of guard approach and take her away. Some of the inscriptions on her body remain etched into her skin as burn marks, and she remains with some of the marks always on her.
Most people in the vicinity don't understand what happened in that place and believe that she was at fault and the authorities plan to take her to a special prison. By that point, Rayne is heavily traumatized and nonresponsive.
On her way to the prison, a member of a powerful wizard guild shows up and takes her instead after hearing of the incident that her powers caused and Rayne solely accepts because she's given food. That is where she starts learning and realizes that there is more to the inscriptions that she was taught for the ritual and she also learns to read and write common. As she is given better conditions there, she gradually becomes more receptive to others over a few years but she still has a feeling that she might once again be trained in order to be used, so after she starts learning more of the world that she realized she was isolated from by her father, she begins to look into their operation closer, only to find out that they were using different people of tiefling descent in order to harness magical abilities from them, and she ends up making another plan to evade and help those tieflings.
She uses some of the things she was taught for her father's rituals to instead use that power herself and breaks the device that hold the tieflings and harness their powers one night. That night, she helps the tieflings escape on their own and she then runs away being chased by guards and wizards from that guild. This is where she makes her way to a city where she hides. For the game, I made it so that city is actually Baldur's Gate where she winds up for good.
Her life in the new city starts from the very bottom, as she tries to dodge the guards that are after her bounty, and she doesn't have any food or shelter and she is still in shock after the previous events. In the end, she becomes harder to find when sitting among the homeless and sells anything she owns in order to buy food for the small group of homeless people. When she hears some adventurers talk about a failed quest for the retrieval of a special item that the local apothecary needs, she decides to try for herself in order to make some money. Using her innate abilities, despite her still young age, she manages to get the item and deliver it to the apothecary for a reward.
That sparks curiosity among adventurers and people involved and she begins to take on different jobs on retrieving and finding magical and special items, working with both reputable sources and networking around the underground, which becomes her job for a long time in the city. Due to her charismatic nature and ability to always deliver on her quests, she is able to have strong enough connections in the underground of the city to rid herself of the initial accusations due to her past, being able for the first time to live for herself and start once again enjoying using her magic without being reminded of her traumatic past.
At the start of the game or story, she is pretty much in a decent place both in spirit and the house that she owns in the Baldur's Gate, but along with the kidnapping of the mindflayer ship and becoming infected, she finds a group of companions that are more similar to her and each other than they first realize.
For the dnd game, I also noted that the sorcerer father was still alive and could become a challenge in the future, along with the wizard that found her afterwards, both becoming obstacles at one point.
Overall, I really liked playing as her because some parts of her story fit well with the companions. Her experiences with abuse of magic can contrast Gale's nature of being both chill and overly confident when it comes to using magic, but also relates by loving magic just as much. Her story of a father that wants to control her and absorb her power through a ritual and giving her no other purpose can relate to Astarion's story with Cazador, and the idea of his possible apparition really puts her story in the same trope as his. Dealing with a father/authority figure that presents themselves as having her best interests when in reality they are training them to be used can relate to both Shadowheart and Lae'zel, and her sense of adventuring and heroing, can relate to Karlack and Wyll.
Overall, if anyone got to read up to this point, I am looking forward to showing you through a mini comic series different parts of her story with these companions. Thank you for reading up to this point! And if anyone wants to he tagged to future posts, let me know.

you know it truly amazes me how you can't do practicly anything on tiktok or search the thing you like without getting absolutley shat on
Like I'm feeling a little in the mood for rottmnt angst A lil bit of that kick in the gut, and I can't go 3 minutes without one of those made in 5 minutes max videos that's just background video and text over it Saying shit like "Yall need to stop with the rottmnt angst it's getting annoying" or "the rottmnt angst artist need to chill out" or even better "The rottmnt fandom needs to stop the angst it's just a show for kids"
First off, if angst isn't your thing, you can block it or just scroll pass it OR you know what if youre feeling like a little shit you can hate read it or whatever but keep the comments TO YOURSELF
Second off I checked what the content of most of these people is And it's always goddamn always those 10 second background videos with text over it
nothing more
I dare these people to even try to draw the shape of leo's head, or write out something more than 40 words I accualy dare them. do it.
Also the same goes for shipping over there
Let's say you see a legal completly normal ship you don't like Example let's say leo x usagi or raph x mona
What you wanna do is scroll or block it
NOT make up info to make others stop shipping it, I'm sick and tired of people non stop saying that usagi or mona are adults or that their entire characters are being love intrest in the fandom's eyes Because if you look at any of the fanfic's or fan content of those Yeah it's easy to find content where there love intrest's but it is hard to find content where there ONLY love intrest
People love mona so much for the fact that she's a badass warrior who loves her planet and people they often give her more backstory focused stories that explore how she would feel depending on where the writers story will go or already went, I have never seen anyone maker her just a typical love intrest (witch honestly suprised me)
Usagi? People have more free will with his interpretation's so he has many many diffrent faces backstories, personalities but often people make him focused on something in their stories, examples being, getting back home, protecting others, getting over something, fighting in battle nexus and exploring how it would be Etc. Etc. That mixed with being a love intrest
The only times when these two can be seen as just love intrest and nothing more is in
Edit's/tiktok content where everything is short af (and even then sometimes people give em backstories and their own lore it really amazes me sometimes lmao)
short (usualy) tagged as fluff without plot fics on ao3 (witch you can litellary tag out SO easily)
Little comics/some art pices That HAVE VERY STORT LIMITS
also this might suprise you it really might but DRAWING IS HARD AND TAKES ALOT OF TIME SAME GOES FOR MAKING THE IDEA UP
And when it comes to their ages we all know there not adults, littelary where did anyone mention mona being an aduly ever, and the only times when usagi and leo accualy interact is when there in similiar if not the same ages
(in 2003 usagi and leo are close friends and Both teens, in the early comics there both adults when they first meet, even in 1987 version there both shown to be close if not the same age, the ONLY TIME where leo and usagi have very diffrent ages is in 2012 and honestly i have a little theory on why specificly that version had them be you know that but that's for another post)
Seriously what the fuck is tiktok's problem with any form of fanon content? You want the fandom to die? It aint gonna happen, you either get used to some bad stuff existing there and there and ignoring it (reporting then ignoring it if it's really bad) OR you keep quiet OR you will get banned by alot of creators after crying in their comments, then cry when you can't find something they made anymore
Tiktok man, good for daydreaming to the sounds, looking at edits and for some art trends but litellary can't let anything else exist on there or else you'll explode
(Also I bet if some of the fanon angst made it to the accual show they would deepthroat that shit right up and call it writing of ceuntry)

I’ve mentioned it on a reblog post before but since Slime might be returning soon I’ll say it again.
Forever’s theory about the eggs might have some credibility to it. He said that the eggs might be the people who were once inhabiting this island who were captured by the federation and made to act like eggs wiping off their memory? At first it might sound crazy but people keep on overlooking one thing. Gegg and q!Biden. Yes I know that people know very well who Gegg is, q!Biden? I don’t know but even Gegg made it to the twitter eggstatistics. People have just been treating Gegg like a goofy side character of Slime but if we look deeper into it we see that we have overlooked alot of details regarding this “egg”.
I think it is quite clear that q!Biden and q!Gegg are actually Maxo and Slime disguising as eggs. But lore-wise how can we explain how they can do that? They are different from other CCs who have other characters like Melissa is actually Roier’s cousin (I don’t know how true this is) and his Grandfather (I can’t find an explanation as to how they got into the island in the first place but another time for another topic) or Quackity and El quackity. Gegg was not introduced as a separate character from q!Slime and the same for Maxo as Roier is in on the plan of Maxo infiltrating the school.
If admins within the server are part of the federation, it means that they have the power to transform the island inhabitants into eggs via Gegg and q!Biden and probably into other entities too. It’s not like Slime and Maxo are like “I want to be egg” and poof they are egg. Someone had to have the power to transform them into one. Maybe q!Biden’s case can be a different story since he is the only egg who visually looks so different from the rest of the eggs but for Gegg? He looks so much like an actual egg that he passes as a real one. He was even provided with the signs the eggs initially had. Someone in charge behind the existence of the eggs must have been the same one who gave Slime the ability to turn into one.
Also we haven’t been able to discover the remnants of the existence of the Dragon within the island. I know the Dragon mother left but what about the traces of its existence? A dragon cave or a dragon scale? The nest which the baby eggs were left in? Where could be this dragon’s home before it left? The video that played when they introduced the eggs specifically said the dragon lived within the island. Not in another dimension like the end.
It could just be impulsive story telling where the writer writes the story as it goes without an outline but even if it is, this can be good to be explored and considered by the ones in charge of the overall lore.
I will repeat how funny it is for me that Slime and Maxo probably just thought of a funny bit and went through with it without realizing its potential to affect the overall lore. Like they just thought it’d be fun to act as eggs in a stream not knowing how integral it could be to the story. Imagine a funny bit turning into the hidden backstory of the eggs’ existence all because Slime wanted to be an egg for a stream to troll people.
Although, my crazy theory that I pulled out of my ass is, maybe Slime did it on purpose to find out what really happened to Flippa in order to bring her back. He went undercover convincing the feds to give him the power and information to infiltrate them more successful than even Cellbit ever did because the feds underestimated Slime’s potential to destroy them and bring them to light. That could explain his disappearance and he succeeds and saves the other eggs and reunites with Flippa?
Naaaaah. I’m just losing it rn CAUSE I JUST WANT FLIPPA BACK AND I CAN’T STOP MAKING UP SCENARIOS IN MY HEAD THINKING OF WAYS WE CAN HAVE THE DEAD EGGS BACK WHERE IT MAKES SENSE TO THE LORE. Bobby, Flippa come back pls 😢

If anything I think you should speak more, because I love everything you write (and draw.) You've been one of my biggest inspirations to go back and give all of my ocs actual stories instead of just designs.
In fact, ever since you mentioned having non-fpk family ocs before, I have been incredibly curious.
Please feed me all of the information like a bird feeding its young, except its letters going into my eyes instead of food going into my mouth
you have no idea how much that warms my heart, i'm really flattered that you see me as an inspiration. it's all i could really ask for
i do have some ocs, yeah. though i will say, the fpk au characters are definitely outliers when it comes to the amount of personality and lore they have. most of my ocs have very basic backstories, and many of them only do because i used to roleplay as them with my friends. a lot of my original designs that i'm attached to don't even have names, let alone personalities
since i'll be posting a lot of pictures, i'll throw this under a read more so it's not too long
i guess i'll start with my oldest oc, a lion king character who used to be my "fursona" (well not exactly, since i've never considered myself a furry. but persona wouldn't fit here) years ago, back in 2012 i believe. she went through a lot of changes over the years, but i've settled on a design that i really like
Tumblr media
her name is swahibu (used to be swahili, i wasn't particularly creative, and i changed it recently since it was a bit awkward for her to be named after the entire language hahaha), and she has a little brother named kobe. their lore isn't anything too elaborate, they're essentially scar's grandchildren who used to be outlanders, but after the events of the second movie joined the pridelands. swahibu is bitter and a bit mean, but cares very much about her little brother. she got her scars in a fight with rogue lions which unfortunately ended with their mother's death, so they're now on their own. kobe is a smart cub, and brings a bit of joy and innocence to his big sister's life. as they both resemble their grandfather more than they'd like, they're often the object of nasty comments from those who lived under his tyrannical rule, though they do eventually earn the pridelanders' respect. not much else to say about them, except that i like to hc swahibu as gay. also, they have a very simple family tree that i made to show what their parents looked like, here (might not work if you don't have a deviantart account, but i'm not sure)
--
next up, there's a character i've considered my persona for quite some time, and one i used to put in many funny scenarios with my friends' ocs. he also changed the most out of all of them throughout the years, and recently i gave him a more furry like design as i hate drawing human faces haha
Tumblr media
his name is rick, and he's a hybrid of all kinds of different animals. he's very laid back and lazy, though the fact that he's a hybrid gives him some animal-like traits and behaviors. he used to have a backstory but it's kind of stupid so i'm considering changing it, but he was basically created in a lab and then released after it was shut down. now he lives on his own with his cat, jon. he's one of those characters who are very flexible, so if i wanted to, i could modify him to fit into any scenario (for example, he used to have an assassins creed universe version which i used for roleplay years ago hahaha). not much else to say since i'm still in the (slow) process of changing him
--
i also have a lot of dragon characters, most of them were made for the purpose of a larger roleplay story with my friends. in general i take 'dragon' as a very vague term, since to me a dragon can look however you want and all those classification rules are kinda stupid. but you'll still a bit of, idk, i guess a paleoart like direction for their designs, since i like speculative biology and such. also, some of these originated as heavily based on some of my favorite characters at the time, you'll see that with the first one especially
Tumblr media
his name is stark and he's probably the dragon that has the most lore behind him. i won't go into too many details regarding the backstory since it's long and very connected to the roleplay (you know, bit of a "you just had to be there" moment haha). but tl;dr he was taken in by a village and raised from hatchling, so he's very docile and a little bit confused. the village was attacked and he was able to survive, but one of his legs was scarred pretty badly, so he noticeably limps while walking. he's a semi-aquatic dragon, so he's an excellent swimmer. funnily enough, he went through a complete "reboot" a few years ago. in the original rp, he was a massive asshole, he'd hurt others for his own amusement and was generally very aggressive and not pleasant to be around. also, he had a prosthetic leg, though i scrapped that as it was far too advanced for the setting i envisioned him in. i much prefer this direction, i love my giant himbo gator-dragon. and i wonder how many of you can guess what character was the inspiration for his appearance (it used to be a lot more obvious in his first design iterations)
(and no, his wing isn't missing. this is just to show his back haha)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
these next three don't really have too much backstory to them. well, except for the first one, his name is ithaar, and he was one of my first ocs ever. he went through a massive redesign quite recently, so he has close to nothing in common with his first iterations. the other two characters, eurus and ash, were made for rp purposes quite recently, and so don't have too much lore behind them
ith is a bit of a coward, he struggles with his self-confidence and believes everyone sees him as insignificant due to his small size and inability to fly. he can camouflage, though, so he's a lot cooler than he thinks. also, he moves by hopping around like a little kangaroo. his design is very dromaeosaur-like, with short stubby arms and yi-qi inspired wings
eurus is very pterosaur-like, though much larger than even the largest azhdarchids. he doesn't like the company of others, he's a bit of a loner (with trauma!). he may seem mean on the surface, but his past experiences make him unable to walk past someone who's in need. not quite a gentle giant, though. i think it's easy to see which pterosaurs in particular were the inspiration for his design, though his crests are very dilophosaurus-like
the last one is ash, and she's the newest addition to the roster. her rp session was very short and didn't really add much to her lore, but she's generally a huge jerk who likes annoying others and stealing from them. but of course, it wouldn't be an oc of mine if there wasn't some trauma involved, and she's no exception. she believes she doesn't fit anywhere, she felt rejected by her own kind for her unnatural abilities (she can move things with her mind), and so she copes with it by being a prick. her design was inspired by junker queen from overwatch haha
---
i also have four night fury characters i made during my httyd phase, and i redesigned them about a year ago to be a lot more "natural" in their appearance. they used to be quite a bit more colorful back in the day, and not in the good way haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
their names are vel'ri, sherok, atis and marivo. no real backstory, just vibes. the first one used to be my "main" character during the httyd phase. vel'ri and atis are female, sherok and marivo are male
--
and lastly, some non-dragon characters. these don't really have any backstory that i think is worth sharing, but i still love them very much
Tumblr media
this one is named rugat and they're a genderless, shapeshifting magma alien thing. i don't know what they are. i just really like their design. they're aggressive, but they have a soft spot for small, weak creatures. god knows what their reasoning is, but i thought it was a cute personality trait
Tumblr media
and these two are named lox and bagel. they're a ragarox, an original species i made years ago when it was cool and hip to have a closed species. they're eyeless cave dwelling lizard things. very chubby. these two guys are not related but they hang out all the time. 🏳️‍🌈 perhaps?
lox, on the left, is the more active and territorial of the two. but he's also super affectionate towards bagel
bagel, on the other hand, is the couch potato. very round and chubby, 10/10
as a fun fact i like to think their long tongues have very distinct smells. lox's smells like lime, while bagel's smells a bit like blueberry
--
and lastly, here are two unnamed characters. i like their designs but i haven't had the chance or inspiration to think of any details about them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the first one is an okapi-like thing. with a kitty face. the second is like a weird mix between a ceratopsid and some kind of mammal
oh and, here's some redesigns of old dragon characters that i forgot to mention earlier. they used to be very different (all but one were inspired by other characters, but you can't see it on their current designs), and i don't have any backstories for them yet. their names are also going to be changed, so consider them nameless for now
Tumblr media
(fun fact: the top left one was one of the first iterations of eurus' design, but i decided to turn it into a different character cause i still like it)

The Added, The Removed, and the Changed: Continuity Alterations of Living World Season 1 Return
So last year ArenaNet brought back "most" of LWS1 in 2022 after about 8 years of demands for it to be made permanent. What many people may not know is that, yes, ArenaNet did change things up. Be they for better or wose. As it got brought up while talking with friends in the GW2 subreddit's discord, I decided to write up what these changes are.
Overall: The Investigative Studies and Records
The most obvious additions to the lore span all five episodes, where each one got an achievement called Investigative Study. These were added lore books, using a UI created in Season 4, exploring backstory of various characters and factions.
Flame and Frost namedropped some Icebrood Saga characters like Crecia and Efram, while also delving into why the dredge and Flame joined Scarlet, for example.
From Clockwork Chaos onward, there were also the Investigative Records achievements, which were audio recordings from Scarlet to delve into her character a bit.
All of this stuff is brand new, and provides new insight on characters - especially Scarlet and her motivations.
Additionally, it is worth noting that when LWS1 first released, it was written from a perspective of "the events happen at any point in the personal story" - so you were not strictly "the Pact Commander". This created some dissonance in the original story for how characters reflected their state at the beginning of the Personal Story instead of the end - most notable being Destiny's Edge, who end the personal story claiming to stick with the Pact until the Elder Dragons are no more (specifically Logan doing so), but then when we meet them in LWS1, they're back with their nations doing their deskwork or what have you. That commitment didn't last long, huh? Well, it made sense if you were a level 10 going through LWS1. But the LWS1R firmly cements LWS1 as post-PS, dubbing you the Commander right off the bat to Braham and Rox, yet didn't change any this. Or explained it.
Flame and Frost
In addition to the above, Flame and Frost got one very peculiar change to it, which is arguably the biggest change in the entire LWS1R: Ottilia.
Ottilia is a norn from Cragstead that Braham had a "bit" of a crush on. In the original release, Ottilia was Braham's firm motivation for... the entire season, really. When the player first gets to ask about Ottilia, this is what Braham says:
Ottilia? Who's Ottilia? Well, she lives in Cragstead, and she's... kind of beautiful. I mean sweet. She's nice. Okay?
But in the re-release, Braham says this instead:
Ottilia? That conversation might require some ale. Ottilia is amazing... She's beautiful, and...not interested. But she helped me work through some angst about my family. My mom. I owe her.
Interestingly, despite 'helping him' cope with his issues with Eir, Braham's attitude towards Eir is still very harsh, unchanged from the original release. In fact, despite Braham "getting over her", Braham still writes cringy poems for her. Why say he’s over her, if he still acts like he’s pining for her and even writes cringy teenage puppy love poetry for her? Curious.
And in addition, there is an entire subplot following the entirety of Season 1 removed because the writers wanted to reduce Braham's puppy love.
First, Ottilia showed up in the bonfire in Hoelbrak at the end of Flame and Frost, though the wiki didn't record this unfortunately.
After, from Secret of Southsun to Cutthroat Politics, Ottilia and Braham had monthly dialogues in Cragstead. At the end, Ottilia leaves Braham for a merchant, and Braham joins Rox in leaving Cragstead. This is his motivation for being involved in the rest of LWS1.
In Clockwork Chaos, we first see him complaining about Ottilia. This complaining returns in his banter with Rox during Escape from Lion's Arch.
All three of those sets of dialogues were removed from LWS1Return. Ottilia is never seen by players now. According to Bobby Stein, the change was to "downplay the "puppy love" angle and tie in more as a support system for his strained relationship with his mother".
(Personal Rant: I do not like this change, as it flattens Braham's character, making him almost entirely just about his relationship to Eir with little else about him. Without him going to Rox as emotional support over the Ottilia breakup, their relationship seems simpler as well, like he's just tagging along just because - he has no reason to be involved with Clockwork Chaos, he's just there. Of course, I admit I am bias as back in the early 2010s I had a similarly bad breakup and Braham's bitter reaction to Ottilia was highly relatable for my late-teens self.)
Lastly, Flame and Frost saw a loss of the Lion's Arch refugee camp - NPCs that were tied to the non-returning Secret of Southsun arc vanishing along with it. Lorewise, this camp still existed, as it still gets referenced, and the events at Southsun still occurred. But the NPCs tied to the heirloom collections got moved to Hoelbrak and Black Citadel refugee camps instead.
Sky Pirates of Tyria
In the original release of Dragon Bash and Sky Pirates of Tyria, there were some protestors who showed up in the Grand Piazza - Merrik, Marren, Broll, and Roardina. These four would be protesting the celebration of Dragon Bash the first week, get questioned by Kiel about the assassination attempt in the second week, and call out for a hunt on the assassins afterwards as a point of concern for their own innocence being in question.
A small piece of worldbuilding that is lacking in LWS1 - more on the first part. The part where there were active protests against Dragon Bash. With the actual Dragon Bash returned celebration in Hoelbrak, we got new protestors about the celebration, but it was more of a highlight in the original patch that wasn't part of the story instances, and thus did not get a place in the LWS1R.
A somewhat weird addition is that at the end they added a line of Magnus talking about Southsun Cove's events as if the Commander wasn't there. But all the old reference tags for dialogue reflecting you having done that content in the original LWS1 releases remain. I guess Magnus is a bit senile.
Clockwork Chaos
In addition to Braham+Rox's dialogue about Ottilia, there is another duo dynamic that was changed a lot in this release. That of Hobo-Tron and Marcello DiGiacomo. While these two do still show up in both the Closing Ceremony instance (redubbed The Queen's Address) and Scarlet's Playhouse, there was an entire dynamic between them in open world which is now MIA, and paints the entire spat of the two which continues on into Lion's Arch to this day.
Additionally, a lot of their dialogue in Scarlet's Playhouse itself was simplified, reducing their banter during your fight with Scarlet. Though it didn't provide much depth, as it was just the two name-blaming the other as being connected with Scarlet.
On an aside, in LWS1Return, during Scarlet's Playhouse you confront a hologram of Scarlet... But in the original, it was Scarlet Briar herself. Odd change.
There's also the change of the Watchknight models, but that discussion has been done to death back when the content released. Here's referencing that can o' wurms.
Tower of Nightmares
Similar to the two above, there are some open world dialogues that did not make the cut for LWS1. Most can be found on the wiki. The most famous of these dialogue, or rather infamous, is Kasmeer telling Marjory at the end of the arc that her dress that she's been wearing the entire time in the Tower was an illusion, and that she was naked all along. With the change in society and media, I can understand the mentality of the changes. But this is also a very curious aspect of Kasmeer's mentality as former nobility - at this point in the story, Kasmeer has not yet entered that "adventurer's mindset", and still favors not tearing a dress over her own safety.
In addition to that infamous dialogue, there is other stuff. Most critical are the prologue and epilogues to the arc. The entire time of the camp being established with Marjory and Kasmeer studying the veil that hid the Tower is MIA, and so is the gathering afterwards in The Dead End.
Aside from the cut content surrounding our dear proto-Dragon's Watch, we also have a lot of Bloomanoo and Penelopee dialogues cut. For those who weren't around in LWS1, these are two quaggans first introduced in ToN, who had cameos in almost every (or every other) episode until they settled down in the rebuilt Lion's Arch at the end of Season 2. They would often show up in a place that would soon to be attacked by Scarlet's or Mordremoth's forces, making them a hilarious harbinger of doom duo.
Also not making it was the quaggans refugees who took refuge in Fort Salma. There wasn't much, but those poor quaggans.
Lastly, did you know that the finale of Tower of Nightmares was also the very first time we met Belinda? She even had dialogue for whether or not you were involved.
Overall, Tower of Nightmares had the most content cut from its return. Mainly, I imagine, because it was worldbuilding fluff and not part of the Golden Path, like Ottilia, the Dragon Bash Protestors, and Hobo-Tron.
Battle for Lion's Arch
Surprisingly, Battle for Lion's Arch was perhaps the most comprehensive and inclusive of all five releases, making the fewest reductions, changes, or additions. To the point that as I write this, I can only think of two points (besides the Assault Knight model change).
First, we have Canach. While he does show up in Fort Marriner, his audio lines and dialogue with Sheriff Siriam were removed. He was also removed from Escape from Lion's Arch instance, though it a minor appearance.
Escape from Lion's Arch is the second point. Due to the reduced area of the zone players could access during that story instance, several events and related dialogues were removed. The two critical pieces were the escorts of the ogres and the racing moas - especially, curiously, the racing moas.
Though the wiki does not have the dialogue (for some reason), it was a plot point that during the escort for the moas, the group woudl be attacked by a giant Toxic Wurm Queen, leading to the follow-up event. Narratively, this wurm queen eats the moas. Tigg even commented on it, blaming the players for the moas' deaths. And in Dragon Bash's return in Hoelbrak, we get a new set of moas, including one named after one of the dead moas.
But in LWS1R, the moas (and other escort NPCs) are there to interact with and they vanish, presumably escaping the city without issue. The moas never die - they survive now.
But the dialogue of their death remains.

Being sick for the past week meant that I had nothing better to do today than lay in bed and refresh tumblr waiting for chapter 34, and seeing it at the very top of my dash was the highlight of my day! The wait was definitely worth it, my health for the duration notwithstanding lol
SPOILER WARNING FOR PAST CHAPTERS IDK HOW TO PUT READ MORES IN ASKS I'M SO SORRY
You made the right call taking the extra time to edit this doozy of a chapter—figuring out how to share Dale's exposition in a way that made sense and fit into the events of the story while maintaining tonal consistency must have been quite the process, between the restrictions of Sana's POV, regency genre conventions, and the story's (heh) natural climax being Dale's identity "reveal" followed by the wedding. I'm very curious if you currently have any ideas for how you're going to tackle this exposition in the novelization, or if you're inclined to handle it differently at all!
@weasellyferret
i hope you're feeling better! i'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter!
i hav no idea if u can even put a read more in an ask anymore and i can't hide it now but my answer will be under the read more
thanks! i think some people really underestimate how helpful even self editing is to make things coherent, especially for a long chapter like this one that covered so much but also was literally just two ppl talking to each other (ppl lov to say they'll take any update, but lik, thats cuz they dont knooow lol and i dont just want it to b passable, i want it to b good).
with lore/backstory like this i also have to make sure it makes sense to readers who havent read any of it before nor know any of the even more info that I know because there's even more worldbuilding and dale backstory that wont end up in the story.
i'm glad u think i pulled it off to any degree because i was still pretty nervous when i was posting it that it did make sense, fit in the world, was followable, interesting but not just exposition monologue, etc
yeah, chapter 30 where they have the reveal convo is the primary climax of the story and that's also 'just talking' in a sense so its interesting to write this story in that sense lol
while i had the broad outline of the world and dale's backstory from the beginning (i did a little exercise where i sketched out a sort of Dale POV of chapter 6 to get into his mindset which was super helpful) as I wrote the story a lot more of that info became fully fleshed out/defined. so for the novelization, i'll probably try to work more of the info in earlier or have better allusions to it, which will make some of the info in chapter 34 more of a quick confirmation than the exposition itself
ie i might add a chapter with more detail on Sana researching with Dale's books that Bilmont smuggles and plant suspicions of what went wrong with the summoning; i might adjust the chapter after the attack to be more of a convo about the assassination that the grandparents interrupt where Sana can suspect more of Dale's past etc and generally spread out what i can so its more foreshadowed/natural - things like that
other aspects sort of have to be told to Sana because its POV limited, evn when it is updated to 3rd POV. i'll probably do a straight POV swap and minor edit ; then take a look at it as a whole, reassess things on my own, run those ideas by some writer friends/betas and get their thoughts, and finally my editors (who i used for DSM) are also very good with making sure worldbuilding fits in right and so their advice will be helpful - especially since they will only get the draft i giv them without knowing how it was and what changed etc
once chapter 35 is out (which i'm still writing because smut is a challenge to right and i write it more slowly than other things) i'll start slowly editing and passing along to betas the rest of the story (i've got thru chap 11 done and betas who only read those and who are chomping at the bit - u think u've had a long wait? lol) but it will be spring by the time i do any big edits/revisions and then i'll giv it to the editors, who i already lik, semi-lined up for that time period and idk how long they will take because its a long book and then i'll need to process their edits too so it'll be a lengthy process, but i hope everyone knows it will 100% b a novel and i hope they enjoy it!
now back to stabbing away at the smut writing ;)

I want to talk more about why I want Cassidy to be important in Widow's redemption arc because I don't think I've full expressed why I think he needs to play a part in it. Not only that but I haven't really gone into why Widow would be important in Cassidy's arc.
The three main reasons why I think they would be important to each others arcs are;
Their lore have very similar story points to each other and both have a similar theme of choice or lack there of
Cassidy is big on redemption, he is literally the first character in lore to have a redemption arc, so I think if any character was having a redemption arc he'd play a part in it
Cassidy would probably be the first person to genuinely talk to and bond with Widow. In the same vain, Widow would probably be one of the few people to understand why Cassidy does the things he does
Now I have talked about how similar Cassidy and Widows backstories are to each other in a previous post but I don't think I really went into what that would mean for both characters. As stated in Cassidy's journal, he doesn't feel like he truly fits in with the OW crew, he isn't a solider and never has been. The same thing could be said for Amelie, yes she seemingly has a connection with Reaper but something to take note is that their voice lines are very impersonal, they feel more like small-talk with a coworker then meaningful conversation (to me at least).
However, I think that something that is often ignored about both of their characters is that they still enjoy what they are doing now.
Cassidy enjoys helping people, being a vigilante, dispensing justice, in his PvE bio it's stated that he didn't just go underground after Zurich, he disappeared for a short amount of time, meaning he could have done what Ana did and dip, not be a vigilante, but he didn't. He quickly went back to fighting for justice. We also see in the Deadlock Novel and in in-game voice lines, he enjoyed his time with Deadlock. Hell, most of the time when he's talking about his regrets he's mainly talking about Blackwatch.
With Widow whenever I see people write her redemption it's almost always accompanied by her settling down, no longer being an assassin. Which is something she wouldn't do. Amelie enjoys the thrill of shooting, of the hunt, of being an assassin, it's something that terrified her so much that she got her emotions removed because of it. Even after her redemption she might not enjoy killing as much anymore but she'd still enjoy doing her job.
Yes if you asked them what they wanted years ago they probably would have said to settle down, but they have both changed beyond that. Yes neither of them exactly chose this life, for both of them it was a last resort, but they both still enjoy what they do.
And it's why I think they should be important in each others arcs. They would have a mutual understanding of each other. Not only that but I think Cassidy would get Amelie to open up, both to him and other people, while Amelie could help Cassidy see why he's so important to Overwatch.
And though I love Angela and do think she'll be important to Amelie's arc, I don't think she should be the first person Widow should connect with or open up to. Mostly because Amelie would have medical trauma she's had to deal with Moira's experiments for years. So her first connection being towards the new person treating her medically isn't something believable to me, at the very least Angela would be the second person she bonds with. Also pretty much everyone else is out the window because, well, Widow isn't the nicest person, and a lot of the current members don't really like her at the moment (again, Cassidy is the only OW aligned character to compliment her aim).
With Cassidy I think that because of how blunt Widow is she'd probably quickly point out that he's the reason why a lot of the OW members are here. He may not be a soldier but he's still a leader, a friend, someone that a lot of people consider family. I think she'd point out to him that though he isn't exactly like the other OW agents, that doesn't erase the fact that he has an impact on the people around him, that they'd care if he left.
Any way thanks for sitting through my rant-

Hi, I don't know if you'd even answer this ask but I've been loving all your prompts and been sucked into the dp/dc crossover content.
Im curious about trying to make some oneshots or fics myself but I'm not well versed in dc at all except very basic knowledge so I'm really nervous.
Do you have any advise for how to start or suggestions to help some one jump right in?
Ok I'm gonna be using this slightly as an excuse to give y'all a DC reading guide and also:
Personal Opinion 1: You really don't have to read any comics to learn DC. I'd highly recommend going on Youtube and watching some summarizing History of the Batfamily videos so you know the general lore. Reading a bunch of solely DC-related fics also helps greatly. It can get you immersed in the world and learn tidbits of backstory and characterization without having to touch a single comic. if you feel confident enough that you know the character? Go for it!! If you're still unsure and you want to write it anyways? Have a beta reader who's well versed in DC help point out moments that may be OOC or help fix characterization a bit. You never know how good you are at writing that character until you put your pen to paper! Personal opinion 2: go to your local library, go to the graphic novel section, and see if any comics catch your eye. Pick it up and give it a read. There truly isn’t a perfect place to jump in for comics. Continuity is all Willy Nilly and confusing. There’s no perfect spot to jump in but there are personal recommendations or preferences that people will tell you to start on.
I highly recommend listening to podcasts about characters that you’re intrigued with to see if you want to spend the time researching and reading about said characters.
Other tertiary opinion.
I really only have Batman comic recommendations but a friend of mine gave me a list in order for Batman comics to read so here it is:
Batman Year One.
Batman Venom.
Batman Long Halloween.
Batman Dark Victory.
Robin Year One.
Batgirl Year One.
Nightwing Year One.
Batman Cult
Batman Death In The Family
Knightfall
Batman No Man’s Land
Under the Red Hood
Batman Zero Year
That’s what I got. You don’t have to read every single comic to know everything but at least reading a summary of the comic so you’re caught up and not confused as you go into the next comic is something I’d recommend. Batman Knightfall and No Man’s Land are super long and really a drag to read through. Like genuinely they’re painful as hell to read through. I’d recommend reading a synopsis online or listen to a podcast about it.
Other comics in general I’d recommend that I've read that I think are good depictions of the characters:
Superman: Up In The Sky. by Tom King.
John Constantine Hellblazer: Dangerous Habits. #41-46. by Garth Ennis & Will Simpson.
The Spectre by John Austrander.
Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil. by Jeff Smith.
Blue And Gold. by Dan Jurgens
Victor & Nora: A Gotham Love Story. by Lauren Myracle
Batman Vol 1 & 2 (The Court of Owls & The City of Owls). By Scott Snyder.
Again, there are definitely some better comics out there and a lot of comic runs I didn't add on. That's simply because I haven't read the others. Some of these characters you might not care for, and that's completely fine! You don't have to read them then.
Podcasts I'd reccomend:
Character Corner. Their takes and reviews are wonderful. I adore this podcast and found out about many amazing comic runs from this show.
Geek History Lesson. It has a gimmick and it's fun. It's not as in-depth as Character Corner but it does have a far larger array of Characters to listen to and learn about. There's also is this ao3 post that has a batshit insane amount of info on how to navigate and learn about Batman and Gotham

Hello ahmedmootaz! Good day to you!
You mentioned about possibly writing about Distortion Detective in one of your post about what you'll write after the Epilogues of Adventures in Parenthood.
Would you also be willing to write about the other supplementary materials aside from Distortion Detective like Leviathan and Wonderlab? Or maybe even about the Pianist's story in that one document that is now lost to time?
There are plenty of possibilities to explore in the extra material if you want to hold off on Limbus Company until all the Sinner backstories are revealed or want to wait til we get more lore drops.
Spoiler Warning
Distortion Detective: Moses, Ezra and Vespa can help trying to undistort Carmen the Distortion as well as YuRia sharing and comparing knowledge on EGO and Psychoment with the Library
Leviathan: Something related to Vergilius's old office and old orphanage before they both got wiped out by N Corp's taboo hunters/the Ring and Tomerry respectively or maybe about the formation of the Peccatulum and/or about the whole abnormalities bursting out of people if not about sins and the cool tech the Ring has
Wonderlab: Taii is still trying to find Catt in the Outskirts/Ruins where the Library resides not to mention all the other surviving former L Corp employees so they have a reason to visit the Library
Pianist's Story: Not too much to work with but it would be interesting to see Roland find out more about how a plain pianist became "The Pianist" that killed his wife
Dear Anonymous,
Hello and good day to you as well! It's always a pleasure to see asks revolving around other parts of the PMverse...even if I'm not too well-versed in them, ehehe.
Well, although I'm presently up-to-date with most of the supplementary PM works, I have to say that, unfortunately, they haven't gripped me quite as much as their mainline games, not to say that they are bad or unenjoyable, just not to my taste, for one reason or another. However as for writing about them or referencing them...well, that's another question, and I'll answer it in detail as I respond to all of your suggestions, but before I forget, I want to thank you for actually leaving those suggestions in the first place. Many thanks.
Also, when it comes to Limbus...I can't really tell whether or not I'm inspired to write a story that isn't just a self-centered 'let's rewrite what I don't like' type of 'Fic, at least for now, although that could also be due to me directing most of my writing inspiration towards AiP for now. Although I'm wondering if waiting to see the end of the game will make me more inspired to try and wrap up loose ends that PM will inevitably leave for us Fanfic writers, as they did with LC and LoR, ahah. Honestly though, at the rate I'm going with AiP, Limbus might be done by the time I finish...sorry for that.
Anyway, onto your suggestions!
When it comes to DD, I think that it has to be my favourite of the PM spinoffs/supplementary media. I followed it as it was released, although to be honest, the formatting of DD and its significant lack of punctuation or even quotation marks made it difficult for me to follow, although I followed through 'till the end when Moses was left alone. If I do write something with the DD cast, it'll likely be in reference to LoR or LC, as you suggested, and to be honest, your suggestion sounds the most likely for me to pick. A group of EGO seekers and Distortion hunters sounds right up my ally to write about, but to be honest, I barely have a grip of YuRia's character and a not-very-good grip on Ezra, too, so I may need to reread DD a few times to actually make sure I can write something like that, if I do ever get around to it.
When it comes to Leviathan, the concept sounds very, very intriguing. I do want to play around with the Ring and concept of offices and all of the intrigue that surrounds Vergilius' office in particular, the Ring, and Peccatulum in general...It's just that I read Leviathan the least of all of the spinoffs. I don't know why, but it never managed to grip me as much as the others, and I ended up caving in and then waiting for it to be done so I can read a synopsis and know what was going on with Garnet and the like and so I could discover that Vergil actually had E.G.O. and the like. But other than that...I have a very poor grasp over every single character except Vergil (maybe), and I'm not sure what exactly I can write on...although exploring the fates of the former Library guests like what happened with Tommery could be the thing I write about Leviathan, if I do get around to it, again.
As for Wonderlab...Although I do want to actually write something that explores the Outskirts, I feel I'm more likely to do it with the LoR cast than the Wonderlab cast...why? Well, I have no grasp over the characters. I read the comic once, and while I enjoyed it, I couldn't really get how each character functioned in a writing sense and I could never fully grasp them, alas, and reaching the comic now is not very simple due to the...recent events.
As for the very final suggestion...this is one I can, and if I have time, want to do. I do want to explore the Pianist better and further explore him as the first Distortion of sorts. It would also explore Carmen and her experience making the first Distortion, and the daily life of folks in the Backstreets and their stress...yes, this, I hope, I may be able to do one day.
Thank you very much for your suggestions, Anon! As always, AiP is taking a bit of time to be written, so...I don't know when, if ever, I'll get to those concepts, but still! Thank you for submitting them! Until next time, be well, take care, and see ya'!

im moody so let me talk about my characters and why i am rewriting them so much
SUPER LONG POST. I mean it.
some of you have been following me for quite a while, some of you are a bit newer to my blog, some of you might be seeing this and be thinking "who the fuck are you" and to answer that question - hi, im eyris and i have perma gw2 brainrot!
well that was not where i was going. where i was going was "some of you have seen what my characters have been through and that i quite often rewrite them"
so today i'd like to talk about that a little bit. why is it happening, for the start.
I guess the best answer would be that i am getting better ideas and i am getting better at articulating them. i am also growing as a person, which also changes how i view my characters and what i want to say with their story. and sometimes i feel like things are cringe because not many people like my stuff. in no way i mean to fish for likes, no, i am contempt with what im getting (most of the time). what i mean is that i still feel like this very small and cringy blog among so many great people who have much bigger following, better stories, better art, better...everything, really. i guess a part of me wishes to catch up to them, be more like them, even if that is...1. impossible and 2. probably very stupid in your eyes.
so there's that. now, let's go over some of my characters and how they've changed across the years.
EYRIS, the main-main, game-wise and story-wise changes.
Eyris was my very first character, initially she had no story. TBF when i started gw2 my english wasn't so good and i was very lost with the game's story. I mean, i thought the Elder Dragons were some big bad organisation! Some people called themselves Dragons, something like this. As I said - my English wasnt very good back than. TBF I was like....15, I think. Yeah. I also somehow convinced myself I had to keep Eyris as a sylvari because other 4 character slots were for other 4 races and i had to keep them free! But I loved playing Eyris! SO! I fucking. I fucking deleted Eyris and made her again. over. and over. and over. and over and over and over and over.
AND THEN I went to a theatre on a school trip and we watched a play and the very handsome actor played a teacher named Mister Ross. I was 16 at a time (I think), so of course I was like "I like that name" and... I deleted Eyris for the final time and remade her as Eyris Ross. I had no idea that sylvari, according to canon, had no surnames. So when the time came when I started designing more lore-compliant story for her, my initial idea was that she was in love with a human and thats how she got her surname but he "died or something" and thats why she was now traversing Orr. I remember writing a scene of Eyris entering a Pact tent with Trahearne conversing with other leaders and she went completely off because she was sent on a suicide mission to scout Arah before going after Zhaitan and only she came back. Yeah. That....was a time. Somewhere in that time I also realised I did not like Ross backstory but I didnt want to delete Eyris again, I grew super attached (also all thjat crafting was developed completely...) so I changed her name to...Eyris of the Night. Because she was a Nightbloom and because someone took "Eyris" and I was sad about it. Still am, tbh. Somewhere then also Anriin came to be. A Priory scholar, quite mean... and she was Eyris's girlfriend who killed her in HoT because Eyris was getting corrupted! So tragic! But I scratched that off because I didn't vibe with it. I think I still have sketches though from that time so if I find them I will post them. I was 19 at the time when Eyris/Anriin was a thing. Then the Soundless plot came in. And then...
I used to have a friend. A best friend, actually. We were a package deal. So of course we bound our stories together. Eyris was just someone who happened to be there. She wasn't the Commander or the Dragon's champion. She was Just Some Plant that happened to be at a place at a time and ended up befriending the Commander (that friend's OC). Then Tragic Backstory TM happened. Eyris was a Soundless who was taken by the Nightmare Court. She was saved by a group of mercenaries (Idk who hired them. don't think too much about it). The group consisted of a young charr gladium (love interest), asura twins (siblings figures) and a norn elder (father figure). there was also a Mean Human Girl TM who bullied her because ???? and there was a drama in the group and the Mean Girl then fucking lured them into a trap (the Undead are attacking!) and everyone fucking died! Eyris survived and Trahearne saved her from the risen. Ever since Eyris hated necromancy (death magic, connection to zhaitan, zhaitan killed her loved ones) and mesmers (the Mean Girl was a mesmer). Eyris tracked her for years and she brutally murdered her in the jungle during HoT (how did the Mean Girl end up in Maguuma in the first place???) but revenge didnt help, it only drew her closer to mordremoth. Also her dog died in HoT (Mordremoth corrupted it and she had to kill it)
And then PoF time. She went to the desert. Why? I don't know. She went there and befriended a wild jackal pack for reasons unknown until today. That's how she got her mount and friend, Aiari. A few years ago Eyris became a Dragon Champion because I wanted to get her to have more story involvement and significance. And some time later I scratched off the Mercenary Group and changed them into Just A Norn Dad plot.
Currently Eyris's story is actually in this google docs right here but recently I had a Big Think and realised that No, the Vigil would NOT be swayed! So... you can take a peek on how it looks for now. Big Thanks to my friend Awerzo who shared her idea of character timelines. I stole it. It helps.
I am pretty sure I forgot some plots that existed for some time hhh
MOVING ON. AIRELL. The second Main.
Remember that friend I mentioned in Eyris's story? Well, Airell was initially created with their Commander in mind as his love interest. It did not fly. OG Airell was a shallow fuckboy that flirted with everything that moved. Then I wanted to add trauma because that's what you do, so Nightmare Court Boyfriend!!! Yeah it... didn't fly.
Then there was "unrequited love for Trahearne" plot, and after HoT Airell shut down and left for the mountains. They were supposed to be alone in their grief and die alone. but my earlier mentioned friend asked if they could make a friend for Airell. I reluctantly agreed. And so, Ewyn Rhosyn came to be. Ewyn and Airell had such a great chemistry that even if me and my friend said "just friends", these two fictional chartacters decided to date. Honestly, one of my fondest memories. I still cannot recreate a similar chemistry that these two characters had and believe me, I TRIED SO HARD.
Anyway, before Ewyn... Airell's grief was accompanied by a wish to forget all the pain they had endured. They set off to find djinn as they heard that the djinn could grant wishes. In hopes they could wish for erasing some painful memories, they looked for them, at the same time growing ravenous. When Airell finally encountered a djinn and learned that djinn magic did not work the waythey hoped for, they succumbed to hunger and ate a poor guy. Airell realised they could satiate their hunger with magic and so they became the ravenous djinn eater. Yeah. No, scratch all that. As much as I liked the concept, as a creator I wanted Airell to be likable, and let's be honest. eating people is not really the way to go, is it? Yeah......soooo then i decided to make them suck magic out of people (without killing them). Djinn eater became Deldrimor's Banshee, then I changed the name to Deldrimor's Siren, since I really liked that scary Fear Not This Night version.
As my friend and I lost touch, I held onto Airell and Ewyn for some time and then ditched it for my own sanity. I really liked the name Thorns and Roses though so I made my own gay rose mender - Achilles Flameshaper, who after losing his healing abilities became a therapist on a remote island for people who needed refuge (Whale Tail Island, or as I like to call it - Therapy Island).
The idea was that after Airell reawakened in the heart of Maguuma after the events of HoT concluded and after they learned of Trahearne's unfortunate fate, they mourned and succumbed to the magic hunger and was looking for the source of that big magic signature (cough balthazar cough), in their vinetooth form (pic below) they met Achilles and Eyris heading to the Commander's wedding. Achilles was just giving her a ride. Achilles and Eyris fought the lost mordrem in order to secure the area. Airell gets hurt, detransforms, oh no it's airell! oh no what do we do! Achilles takes Airell to the Island because clearly Airell is both physically and mentally hurting. While that part remains canon for Airell until today, their big romance with Achilles did not bloom as I planned. but you know what started vibing with me? TRAMMANDER. Because I decided to make Airell the commander from PS until the start of HoT and then reassign the commander-ship to them somewhere in the middle of PoF (thanks Nia Furaha for holding the line from HoT to PoF!). And if Trammander is canon.... then we're back to Trahearne angst. and guys, I needed to rework that too, so...
I added the whole Trahearne resurrection (ritual goes wrong! not clickbait!) idea! I am still SOOO vibing with it pls ask me questions about this im vibrating!!!!!!!
The Ewyn plot in PoF/LWs4 is CRAZY and I would need a separate post for that but I dont have time for that. Instead, let me tell you a fun fact - Airell died 1.5 times. 1 - stabbed during HoT and put in a blighting pod, and 0.5 in LWs4 when they got swallowed by Kralk and everyone thought they died but then kralk threw them up (sorry Airell).
NIA FURAHA
Nia was fun. A nice human commander, initially she was supposed to take the role of a commander after me and my friend stopped talking, but with time i decided to pass that role in majority to Airell.
Initially, Nia had a backstory. Which accidentally came out racist, so I won't be talking much about it. What I can talk about comfortably are her vigil years.
OG Nia joined the Vigil to protect people. She became a commander through recommendation and battle prowess. She was proud to be the commander, the hero of Tyria. But then I was replaying LWs2 and had thoughts. I thought what if Nia joined the Vigil to escape Anise's clutches. What if they wanted to get Nia into Shining Blade and she didn't want that? I had that storyline for some time but I don;'t like the person this makes Nia. She would not survive the dragon war with that motivation. So...I'm reworking her again when it comes to her role as a Pact soldier and Part-Time Commander.
Freya Wyldwolf
Freya has a long story. She started off as Freya Riverblade. Which is funny because I played hammer on her. Reasons? It was her father's hammer. Her father "left for a hunt and never came back" (as in he "died or something". again). Her mother was bitter, tried to get her life back together but with a wrong person and freya got a half sister. Her mother hated that child because we need that plot (insert eyeroll here pls) and Freya got her motivation to join the Vigil (previously she was a Whispers agent but only because I liked Tybalt ok).
But scratch all that. Freya now has a twin, her name is Wyldwolf, and her half sister was not neglected. Her mother was not the mother of the year but she tried. Freya comes from a long line of OG Wolf followers, so theres always "wolf" in the second name of her family. She is from Cragstead and is besties with Braham.
Also in IBS she killed a corrupted Spirit of the Forest (cough reworked boneskinner cough) and her name changed to Freya Spiritkiller, she did not take it well and is currently MIA.
....
There's also Yvrell but I'm not vibing with it right now also this post is super long and i've been typing it for hours so.
Yeah.
Thanks for reading, Bye. Or something. Love you.

Hi Yuki! I just want to say that I adore the character Alice and all the writing you do for her! Her personality, her backstory and family, and especially her story with Jack are always such a joy to read, and I love learning her lore or how she'd act in different scenarios! 💞 If it's alright to ask, I am also attempting to write a character who experiences a similar chronic pain/illness as Alice, but I'm having trouble finding information. Do you have any recommendations or references? Thanks!
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad that you like Alice, her family, and her story, as well as all the AU variants involving her. It really makes me happier than I can express that you and others like her so much.
Well... if it comes to chronic pain/illness, there's no one size fits all. You need to decide what sort of condition feels right for your character, and what you feel comfortable enough to explore with tact and empathy. After that, it's a good idea to look for places where people who have those conditions feel comfortable enough to talk about them publicly. Medical pages can give information about symptoms, but they don't paint the full picture about what it's like to live with that sort of condition. Chronic illness/pain takes a mental toll on the people who live with them as well as their loved ones, and personal accounts can tell a lot more than medical textbooks about the human side of things.
For instance, the reference I use for Alice's illness is from, well, my life. She has the same chronic illness that I suffer from. She's the first character that I've felt comfortable enough to express this very personal part of myself and explore it in various ways.
I'm afraid that I can't tell you what the condition is called... because the doctors don't have a name for it. That's why I intentionally chose not to name it in writing. Not naming it is its own form of self-indulgence for me, if I'm being honest.
Admittedly, I allowed Alice's reality to be kinder to her, and in her world doctors do know what it is and have a treatment for it, if not a cure. She can live a normal life with minimal pain as long as she takes medication, with only the occasional intense flare up, like I wrote about in this post.
Honestly, this is something that I really love about fandoms like SDJ and the OCs made for it. We're all encouraged to put larger pieces of ourselves into our OCs and really explore parts of ourselves that we might have been too worried to touch on. Alice is a very special character for me because through her and the fandom I've grown comfortable enough to finally explore a character with my same condition in fiction.
Alice isn't a self-insert of me, as there are still plenty of differences between us and our experiences, but I can't tell you how freeing it's been to explore these elements of my life through her. Every character has a piece of their author in them, and Alice is the first one I've given some of my harshest pieces. That's why I'm so, so appreciative when you and others tell me that you like her too. Thank you so much.
With that said, I'm afraid that I can't point you to a specific website for references on writing about characters with chronic illness/pain. I do think it's very admirable that you want to write a character who deals with that. Honestly, I would have loved to have seen more in fiction as I grew up with my illness. There's something truly special about being able to relate to a character on such a personal level, especially when they're going through something similar to what you struggle with. It makes me happy seeing characters who struggle with such harsh conditions still managing to have adventures, happy relationships, and memorable experiences.
Something I can suggest is to approach the subject with empathy. A chronic condition means that there is no magic cure for it, at least not completely. Often times there are ways to treat it, or at least manage it, even if it's something as simple as taking it easy and accepting that some things are more of a challenge for someone with that condition.
A chronic condition is something that someone must simply live with, but that doesn't mean they can't live full and fulfilling lives. If anything, it makes me happy to see someone with chronic pain/illness being the hero. I loved Eda from the Owl House all the more because she was living with a chronic condition, even if it was a magical curse. It makes me happy seeing stories that explore that sort of struggle.
A chronic condition is another challenge for a character to face and overcome. It's a constant struggle, but it can be rewarding to persevere and succeed in spite of the added difficulty. It's also something that can leave them feeling vulnerable, and how they deal with that can tell you a lot about that character. It can also serve as an opportunity to explore how the people around them will react when someone they know has to deal with a chronic condition that can't be cured, and how they continue to deal with it as an outside observer.
Good luck with your writing and crafting your character. I eagerly look forward to seeing what you create, and I hope you have a fun and fulfilling experience. 💗

WIP update as I might post snippets of some of these and it will be handy to remember what they are..
I am slowly.. very slowly coming to terms with the fact that TDP is probably going in a different direction with certain aspects of lore and world building than I originally thought and that certain burning questions I have may never actually be answered and hey, that’s fine.. I get there’s theme and minute details about historic events might not be that important to the story being told.. ngl I do miss the flashbacks though, I guess Viren’s dream almost counts..
Plus side it leaves a vast amount of writing ideas wide open and lets me indulge in all my weirdest Viren ships so.. yay?
But also meh… historical world building..
Anyway current WIP projects which are all in various levels of unlikely to ever see the light of day:
Gothic AU which I had planned to be a kinda intense wuthering heights style Kpp’Ar/Viren romance while they sorta accidently unleash Aaravos on the world, but it has now turned more into a tale of academic/magical snobbery in a universe where dark magic is largely obsolete and everyone vies for the last scraps of power to curry favour with the king.. thanks season 5.. Viren is a poor wannabe student who can’t afford the fees to study even the theory of magic.. Kpp’Ar is a very rare practising but shouldn’t be practising dark mage… and because of how show Kpp’Ar turned out there is now more power play in the inappropriate age gap relationship, but damn, I still ship them pretty hard so I guess those student/master vibes have to go somewhere..
It swings kinda close to my dark King Atticus IS CANNON KING ATTICUS backstory… which I badly want to squeeze in around the snippets of what we have despite him seeming like such an utterly chill geezer… but whatever… I want total bastard Atticus who will use and abuse his access to dark mages and magic in order to further the political aims of Katolis… who will plot and scheme with Kpp’Ar to create an intricate web of deceit that no one can penetrate, who will take the deep insecurities of everyone he knows and hone them to his advantage, who will pimp out his own son to Viren to tighten their co-dependence and generally fuck them up…
and then I kinda also want his dying spirit to inhabit Viren dybbuk style, so Atticus can be constantly sniping into Viren’s subconscious whenever he tries to bone Harrow… because that’s amusing to me… anyway that’s basically just a long list of stuff I want but obviously won’t get…
Then ahem there’s my Viren/Corvus shipping, that probably shouldn’t be mentioned, is almost certainly completely inappropriate for this fandom, (as if any of the above wasn’t..) I’m keeping quiet on this one as it’s what I currently spend the most time actually writing and might actually get finished.. oh well.. RIP me.
Plus I still have cyber punk AU on the back burner because whenever I start really thinking about it and theorising on how Xadia and the human kingdoms would look with a hard cyber border in the year 1988 and Aaravos secretly pulling all the strings towards his own dubious machinations I come out with something pushing the word count of Dune and I cry.. because really I just want a little bit of Viren and Ibis smut action and this is the only way my brain can think of achieving it..
So the main issue for me here is that all these ideas clock in way over the 10k word mark that I like to limit myself to in the interests of getting something finished.. multi-chapter is not my friend, nor is intensive world/lore building, nor is development of OC’s, or deviously intricate plot.. so why all my ideas now involve quite a lot of those things I don’t know.. it probably means I won’t complete any of them..
Still I do also have a few 5-10k Virrow angst ideas that I might be able to get on with..

shigaraki was what got you into bnha, but what made spinner your favorite? (and if you want, opinions on the each member of league?)
look at you remembering the lore
well one of spinner's appealing traits was that he was clearly smitten with shigaraki which put him in my good books as someone who was originally reading for shigaraki. in that same vein, he held a character trait that's always a win with me, being a gay evil lil minion. it's so good when born henchman is clearly desperate to get railed by his boss.
but more than that, for spinner to have struck me and be my special guy for like four years now, is how easy it would have been to write a character like spinner out or just leave him as a fully sidelined character, and how that didn't happen. instead MVA is used to develop and settle the purpose of spinner's character alongside shigaraki, in a way that built off and recontextualised the bits of character from prior in the story, and ended up being a consistent thread throughout the rest of the story, constantly reinforced literally every time he appeared. like regardless of spinner's status among readers there is genuine attention and care for him except for when he was rendered unable to give an opinion to counter shouji despite being the only character capable of really talking about the heteromorph discrimination in an interesting way but whatever i still got chapter 373
also it helped that when MVA was ongoing there was only like one other person posting regularly about the arc who seemed to see the same thing in the character i did (@codenamesazanka hiiiiii <3) so i got a nice little contrarian thrill when everyone else was So Wrong. remember how many people were convinced spinner was going to betray the league to the mla. remember how there are still people who think that spinner's main character trait is being a stain fanboy. i get a lil huff when i think about how i know him so much better than the masses.
i feel like there's more that i can say about spinner and how much he's always going to be my most special boy one of my all time legends but i'll end up crying and that's so embarrassing. rest of the league under the cut.
moonfish. he's so funny. he was on death row and he eats people but he's still concerned with a job well done. what's his story.
mustard. also so funny. i think more should be said about how this middle school kid got a gun and joined a terrorist group and is genuinely trying to commit murder and he is just in middle school. or just about to leave it. it's clearly cowardice that stops the story from calling back to him this middle school terrorist and why he's doing what he's doing, much like toga stabbing her crush a lil like we need some context.
muscular is the funniest character bar none in the entire manga. he's got special fake eyes. he's super chill about the world being kill or be killed. i want to go out for drinks with him so fucking bad. he was BORN in a baby fighting ring why won't anyone acknowledge it. i think he should have his own spin off. i think he should be allowed to kill deku. and kouta for good measure.
magne was the smartest and most proactive character in the league. the way she deduced that deku must have beat muscular and that he had to be taken out, coming up with a plan during kamino when bakugou & co were blasting off ruined only by mt. lady, immediately recognizing that overhaul was full of shit and moving to deal with him. her only mistake was not realising that closing in on a guy whose quirk she didn't know might be risky. genuinely still mourning her, and i think there would have been a really fascinating story in her if she stuck around longer. for example, as someone very proactive, how would she have taken shigaraki's lollygagging in the post-overhaul pre-mla era? at the very least, i wish the league would think back on her more often.
dabi, i'm still an avowed hater, but i more cool with him now that we know his full backstory. i appreciate that he's not a momma's boy or a nobly suffering big brother, there's something sad and real and understandable about his desperation to be seen, his fears of being discarded. still my least favourite character though. i've seen people be like "oh you really have to read between the lines to understand him, he's not what he seems on the surface, blah blah" you don't need to read between any more lines than any other character. all dabi ships suck so bad except for dabi/skeptic not joking.
mr compress is so funny bro he took out his ass to save the league. i'm not really into dadpress headcanons but i do appreciate the little ways you can see compress caring about the league before his big sacrifice play. i'm very much like waiting with held breath to see if we get anything more about him before the story ends - i want to know the backstory and how it led him to the league soooo fucking bad. also anytime we get lore about society from the villains it's so good it's literally the best. i have a lot of hopes laying with him right now.
twice. said it before i'll say it again, he's the best written character in the series no contest. no time was wasted with him, something was developed with him every appearance, and the only thing detracting from how well done his death was done was how fucking bad a character hawks is. i was literally nauseous for two weeks after he was killed but unlike a lot of people i think, it was something i fully expected after his development in mva. i do absolutely hate when fans obsessed with power scaling are like "horikoshi made twice too op that's why he was killed off" NO everything with twice was purposeful and evocative. except for the aftermath where twice's murder ended up being tangential for everyone except toga. but that's not twice's fault it's hawks', for being an insanely badly written character. i miss him.
toga. well. it's so funny than the murderous blood-drinking girly girl ended up being the best written female character of the entire series. lmao. i like how she is the most normal teenage girl in the world. blood drinking and all. i would like the quirk counseling to be explored more and made a thing that characters recognize happened to her. but i guess sidelining it helps with the castielification. there's actually more i can say about her but overall Love and she's never going to die.
shigaraki. shigaraki......................chapter 379 was so satisfying. if deku ruins him i'm killing for real. too much to say so i'll stick with Love and he's never going to die.
gigantomachia counts i love him he's so moe. he shoulda squashed shinsou like a bug.
