Prequel Game Routes Under Cut

~Inko~

Demon Lord (All for One) - The Canon Route and the favorite of most fans because they wished they could be the ones to get with the old Demon Lord because they found him hotter than the Demon Lord in the original game.

Toshinori - The second most popular Inko-centric route, though there are split opinions on him due to his characterization in the novelization. He is still a well-loved character and people want good things for him.

Enji - The least popular route because the fans want his children to still exist.

~Mitsuki~

Masaru - The Canon Route, though some fans don’t care for how much of a doormat he can be. He’s part of why Mitsuki is the least popular heroine.

Enji - Not as popular as him in the Inko side of things, which is saying something. The fans thought it was funny at first having Bakugou and Todoroki as brothers, but overall they prefer having them as unrelated rivals.

Demon Lord (All for One) - The actual least popular in Mitsuki’s side of the game, primarily because the fans didn’t think he and Mitsuki were a good match for each other.

~Rei~

Enji - The Canon Route and the third most popular route in the entire game. The fans think there might be a chance to salvage their relationship here so they can rework the og game so it doesn’t end in tragedy.

Masaru - Decently popular, the fans just thought he and Rei looked cute together.

Toshinori - The fans just thought it was funny having Enji’s rival steal his future wife from him.

Demon Lord (All for One) - Not the Canon Route, but the AfOhiko truthers say this is the absolute best route in the game. It is literally neck and neck with Inko’s Canon Route. Also the only mlm route in the game.

Nana - Schrödinger’s Canon. No one knows if this is Sorahiko’s Canon Route or not because it isn’t mentioned anywhere in the novelization or the original game. Only that Nana was close to Sorahiko in the past.

Trashrada is literally centred around Bolt. At least with Sumire she’s actually not Bolt-centric and uses her head.

Trashrada keeps saying she’s gonna be Hokage yet does nothing to prove her worth and only cries for Bolt.

You want a woman who’s not centred around a guy, Kishi?

Well there’s Yodo, Wasabi, Himawari, Namida, Tsubaki, hell, even that filler character Yuina.

Sumire and Chocho, too, because at least they can focus on other things than Bolt and Shinki/Kawaki/Mitsuki. Even Eida can.

Trashrada, as soon as something happens to Boruto-kun, suddenly bursts into tears and begs for ppl to save her love interest.

At least Sumire can keep her emotions in check.

No Uchiha would ever act how trashrada does and it’s cringy and embarrassing when ppl call her “girl power!”

I know, the fact is she doesn't even think and despite her apparent goal she hasn't really paid any attention to it in ages only mentioning it.

Yeah considering the most of the time Sarada makes things worse like making Boruto lose an eye or just ends up crying its far from girl power.

#H2: Girl is sent to family hotel in the country

Ohana Matsumae is an energetic and wild teenager residing in Tokyo with her carefree single mother. It’s a really great one season show about a teen girl figuring out who she is and what she wants out of life. She makes friends and creates a home for herself despite having no dad and a lackluster Mother. She grows and blossoms into a better, kinder person who enjoys life. It’s a genuinely sweet anime, and everyone in it is trying their best. It’s a feel good show, and if you need a smile, give it a shot. Frankly, it’s very much character-centric, and you can’t help but root for them and feel for them when they suffer.

Trigger Warnings: Mild Emotional Abuse in the past. The Mom isn’t abusive physically, but she does suck and neglect her kid emotionally, so maybe Child Abuse?

#H7: The Executioner and Her Way of Life (Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road)

Propaganda 1:

An isekai that forgoes the usual tropes and exceedingly dull, whitebread protagonist in favor of a cast consisting more or less exclusively of varying flavors of deranged lesbians.

As a bonus, a certain scene halfway through the first episode made a lot of the worst parts of the anime community SO mad, and I feel like that’s worth something in and of itself.

Propaganda 2:

An isekai subversion that doesn’t feel like it’s subversive for the sake of being trendy! All of its unique parts have lore to explain them, and the world building of the series is super intriguing. The power mechanics are well-thought-out, and the fighting is unique and beautifully animated! Another strong part is the character relationships; I love the various dynamics between the main cast, and I love how none of them are reduced to mere tropes, as anime loves to do with its women. It’s also very funny, and the protagonist is one of my favorites <3333

Trigger Warnings: Child Abuse, Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore, Suicide. Suicide is basically a deuteragonist’s goal, but it isn’t shown.

blank period karin is one of the most interesting, complex versions of karin but there's a dearth of content that's dedicated to her in that era

a lot of the content ive seen that features blank period karin is like, sssk fic where she shows up to deliver the baby and is either like, mean or depressed about it, and maybe she and sakura have a moment and become besties, but usually she's there as set dressing, or to like, put the nail in the SK coffin

and like, that scene is absolutely something id want to dig into as a dirty little karin fan, but there's plenty of other shit i think a good karin-centric blank period fic could hit

the creeping, gradual realization that sasuke is not coming back for team taka and will be settling/based out of konoha

generally, any sort of wrangling/reconciliation between sasuke and taka after the war when he's in his new and improved grown up state of mind. if not this, then dealing with the frustrating realization that sasuke will continue to associate with orochimaru and taka whenever he needs anything, while having no intent to maintain serious personal bonds with any of them

in relation to the above, karin havign to deal with the fact that she's probably the only member of taka who is bothered by this, since juugo tends to be passive, and suigetsu is independent enough that if sasuke is fine just being LDBs (long distance bros), he would be totally chill with that. karin!!! not so much

and like i said this would be stuff other than the sarada stuff, but like WHEN the sarada shit happens, how karin approaches the entire sarada situation, whether its like, instant love bc its sasukes kid, or something she needs to force, bc holy shit is that an emotionally complex situation, and holy shit does sasuke do her no favors by asking her to deliver his literal child

aside from the sasuke bullshit, i wanna see karin wrangle with log/mitsuki/other babies(???) being grown in the lab while having no blood family of her own while also being unlikely to ever have her own children

karin also wrangling with the fact that she's creating entire human beings, presumably so that they can be experimented on by orochimaru, which isnt new per se, but is new in the sense that shes now an adult who may or may not have more complex feelings towards helpless children (esp after sarada)

the fact that juugo apparently takes off from taka at some point, and karin and suigetsu either go separate ways or begin working in different hideouts

literally????? any kind of revelations regarding her heritage??? the fact that she busted out the chakra chains in the middle of the war in a very conspicuous moment?? shes a cousin of the future hokage???????? one of two uzumakis left in the world, and the only known pure blooded one, presumably?????????

also this is probably where karin experiments with The First Guy Who Is Not Sasuke, which either fails gloriously in a murder-tinted kinda way, or is wayyy too normal for her to ever be able to maintain it

ALSO i dont think theres a lot of fic that address the long term toll of karin using her healing bites, and it seems like young adulthood would be the time where any wonky shit would present itself

basically i think there should be more fic about how complex karin is in this era, how she tackles leaving behind the sasuke era of her life and forming an identity separate to that, to the extent that she may or may not try to, and she may or may not succeed
