MOBILE BOOPS

Ok so if you log into Tumblr on a mobile browser, you might be able to unlock super boops and evil boops!!!

There are two types of "boop buttons." The textual "boop" on posts and the colorful paw icon when you're on someone's blog. You can use either for booping (I was not previously aware that the textual boop button allowed for super/evil booping)

Click and hold the Boop Button

It will ask you if you want to regular-boop them

Click X (or cancel, I guess)

Click and hold the Boop Button again. It should start to spin on you. (Be careful of your finger placement so you can count the spins) The paw will spin 180 degrees clockwise, then back. One to two forward+back spins gets you a super boop. Two and a half or more spins gets you an evil boop. Note: I had trouble with the evil boop at first and have a tentative hypothesis that you might have to be evil booped first to unlock it, but I have no proof. (please does anyone know the parameters around the evil boop???)

Legacy Post Editor will be Removed on Web Mobile Browser ? ? ?

According to CHANGES Tumblr Com of Tumblr Staff Blog dated on Friday 07 APR 2023, Legacy Post Editor on Web ( Mobile ) Browser Will be Removed as Follows :

This means that NPF ( NEW Post Format ) will be adopted on Mobile ( Smartphone ) Web Browser ? ? ?

If so, quite hard for me to consider some patterns of Responsive Activity because CLASS of NPF and CLASS of tmblr-full etc. etc. have priority . . . .

My Result is on the way of consideration.

yall. I've been using firefox for a while now and i will always recommend it to everyone for so many reasons, but I discovered Firefox Focus on my phone the other day and I have never been happier.

it has built in ad-blockers

I know firefox has always been good for protecting your data from tracking you across sites unlike other browsers such as Chrome who thrive on it, but I love how I can go to the same page across these different browsers, and Focus is the one that won't have 2345678987 ads interrupting whatever i'm reading

I highly encourage y'all to at least try it

How do people tag things fast?

I'm not new to tumblr (over 10 years, consistent the whole time), but I'm new to tagging more of my reblogs lately. Is there a fairly quick way to do it on the mobile browser version?

I like how the Tumblr Dashboard is so full of garbage that, at this point, just doing something simple like reblogging or queueing posts pretty much instantly crashes my mobile Internet browser.

Oh, wait. No, I don't like that. I don't like that at all. (:

And no, I don't want to use the mobile app. It is crap.

(It's missing a lot of critical post formatting functionality, for one.)

Does anyone have any mobile browser suggestions? I currently use chrome for some things, and Firefox as my secondary browser. I recently had to update chrome so now the tabs are in that tile format instead of the list-like format and it's almost unusable for me. Are there any mobile browsers that allow for the list format of open tabs (aside from Firefox)??

This is the end, my friends.

YouTube is finally cracking down on ad blockers and the like. Some ad blockers aren't working in some browsers, anymore – such as Brave Browser for iPad / iOS. (See above). And, honestly? That was about the only way I could tolerate watching YouTube, these days.

I paid for Premium for a couple of months, one time. However, I don't really have a disposable twenty bucks* to toss at Google, LLC every month. In fact, YouTube Premium would probably break my bank because my money is so tightly wound up in other, more important things. (Like good Internet, "lol".) (* It's about twenty bucks through iPad. But, it's about fifteen bucks via their website, directly.)

Well, I guess I won't be watching YouTube on my tablet, anymore. Or in general, considering I don't watch it via anything else, these days.

Do you have any whump ideas for a fairy?

It depends on what kind of fairy your character is/the general lore, but I have a few ideas:

They could be small and kept in a cage/jar with air holes. They could be a prized possession to collectors who trade them. Maybe some like to shake/shock/poke things into the cages.

Their wings are often trophy pieces for hunters. Maybe they don’t die when their wings are cut off, but it throws them off balance/makes them sick/weakens them. Maybe they can grow back, but only under certain circumstances. So if a collector knows this, they could leave the ‘stem’ of the wings so they can re-grow, and farm the wings for money.

^ if this happens to your character, maybe each wings have finger-print like properties, and when wings start to show up on the markets with specific markings, the caretakers are horrified.

Magic exhaustion could be pretty common for fairies.

I have an idea for an illness called ‘Wing Rot’ where fairies can get fungal infections of the wings causing them to, well, rot.

They could be drained of their powers by a curse/rune/magical pendant/shackles.

Maybe they have to fly away from danger but get shot out of the sky - bonus points if they’re carrying someone.
