Panic. That was all I felt when I found out my dad had been shot. Denver said that he was still alive, which was good, but just by looking at him, I could tell that he wasn’t going to make it. No matter how quick Denver tried to dig. Though, if it made him feel better, I wouldn’t stop him.
I sat beside the couch that my dad was laying on, holding his hand as he tried to relax at least a little bit. Rio tried to bandage up the wound as much as possible, and I knew he was trying to help, but I think we all knew that it was too late. Everyone except for Denver.
“Papa, is it scary?’ I asked, and it took him a second to think about it, before he finally answered.
“No, I’m not scared. You shouldn’t be either” He answered, and I hummed, his words not really making me feel any less unsure. I didn’t want to cry in front of him, or in front of Misun, who was keeping an eye on us. Though, I honestly didn’t feel like crying, I didn't really feel anything. I had never been an emotional person, not even as a kid. Dad always liked to say that Denver took my emotions, which is why he was so emotional.
“Rio is a nice boy” He muttered after a moment, and I groaned at his words. Rio and I had been together for a few months, way before we had begun the heist. We met at a club, and I didn’t exactly expect to have to make him meet my dad so soon, but we had all agreed to the professor's plan. I had no idea Rio would be there, but it was a nice surprise.
“Papa!” I complained, and he chuckled lightly, before letting out a pained wince.
“I’m serious. When you get out of here, you should get married” He started, and I rested my head on my knees, hiding my face in embarrassment. “Have a kid, name him after me” He continued, and I laughed at the idea. If that was what he wanted, then I couldn’t deny him that.
“Alright, papa. We’ll name our son after you” I said, turning towards him. Though, he wasn’t smiling like he had been the last time I looked at him. He had gotten a lot paler, and the pleading look in his eyes told me that it was time.
“Misun, get Denver now”
~~~
I didn’t know how to feel. Denver was screaming, which felt like the most reasonable response. I didn’t feel anything, and I didn’t know why. The only thing I could do was hold his hand, hold on until he couldn’t grip my hand anymore. And when his grip softened, I knew he was gone. My dad’s hand had gotten colder. He was dead. That was when I knew I couldn’t bear it anymore, standing in a room with my dad’s corpse, I placed his hand down, and left. The only thing I knew I could do.
I felt bad, that I didn’t cry or scream, or do anything, like Denver did. I haven't had someone die before, not someone that I care so much about.
I found an empty room to sit in, one that I knew no one would come into. Unless they had been looking for me. I pulled my knees into my chest, resting my head on them as I traced the patterned carpet with my eyes.
WHen I heard the door open, I didn’t move, not really wanting to give away where I was. Though, when Rio sat down beside me, I sighed. Of course he would be the one to come and find me.
“Are you okay?” He asked, and I pondered it for a moment. Sure, if I had been a crying mess, it would have been a stupid question. But I wasn’t. Eventually I gave him a nod in response.
“Am I terrible? For not crying?” I muttered, and he shook his head. I took the chance to rest my head on his shoulder, reaching over to grab his hand and link our fingers together.
“Everyone grieves differently” He said, his thumb beginning to rub circles into the back of my hand.
“I don’t feel like I’m grieving at all” He hummed at my words, taking a second to think of what to say.
“It might come later” He said, and I nodded, trying my best to understand what he meant.
“He said that we should name our kid after him” I mention, and Rio’s face flares up with a blush that I had never seen before. His nervous expression made me laugh, which didn’t really feel appropriate for the situation.
“I mean, yeah…We could do that” He agreed, and I was surprised he agreed, but I’m glad that he did.
~~~
It had been a while since I had worn something other than that red jumpsuit. Although, the blue jumpsuit didn’t feel all that different. We were about to board the train that would take us out of Korea.
As we all boarded, the professor had been stopped by his investigator. It took him a second, but he still managed to board the train.
Although, even with everyone here, it still felt empty. The silence felt uncomfortable, and the sudden reminder that my dad wasn’t here made my eyes well up with tears. They flowed from my eyes with no signs of stopping.
Rio, of course, was the first to notice. “Oh, there it is…” He cooed, mostly to himself as I fell into him, sobbing Into his chest. “It’s alright. Let it all out” He whispered, tracing shapes onto my back with his fingers.
“He’s not here. We did all this and he’s not here to see it” I sobbed, my tears starting to stain Rio’s shirt as I cried on him.
“I know, baby. I know”

Stress relief - Nairobi x fem reader smut
Pairing: Nairobi x fem reader Genre: Smut Warning(s): Semi-public, cuss words, thigh riding, slight degradation, sub!reader + dom!Nairobi, oral (reader giving), AFAB reader, reader is called 'Athens' Words: 1,200  Summary: Reader helps Nairobi relax after some intense days at the Royal Mint. English is not my main language, if I make any spelling mistakes please let me know so I can improve my writing! <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“He’s such an asshole!” Nairobi’s voice is loud and upset as she collapses on the couch.
The tension between the robbers is getting tense and it’s only day 4 of the heist.
In usual order, Berlin had something incredibly misogynistic to say, and Nairobi snapped. The two of them argued for a good while until you had to drag Nairobi away from there, whilst Denver tried to make Berlin calm the fuck down.
She rubs her forehead and sighs deeply. You take a seat beside her.
“I guess Berlin is not the only thing bothering you?”
She shakes her head. You look at her with compassion in your eyes and gently pats her leg. You listen to her rant whilst slowly stroking her thigh.
“Everyone keeps fucking up. First, Rio and Tokyo, then Denver. And now… Berlin.”
“I know Nairobi… It sucks.”
You hate seeing her like this, and would do anything to make her feel better… Anything.
That gives you an idea. Your hand teasingly moves higher up on her clothed thigh, squeezing it now.
“Shit!”
She cusses.
“Not now, Athens.”
But you don’t feel like listening to her warnings today… You kiss her softly and continue caressing her. You know it’s risky to do it here, in a office at the Royal Mint, but in the moment of arousal, you don’t bother to give a fuck. It even excites you.
“Talk to me, sweetie…” You murmur, massaging her thigh whilst your fingers move to her groin. She tries focusing on ranting about her frustration, which quickly turns into soft moans. You smirk as you watch her go from upset to at ease as your fingers work magic, rubbing all the right spots through the red jumpsuit. Deciding to take things further, you stand up, locking eyes with the woman before you. The sound of the zipper is loud in the quiet office. Her eyes widen watching you strip out of the jumpsuit. To your satisfaction, Nairobi blushes. You’re usually not this bold. Now walking up and straddling yourself in Nairobi’s lap, facing her. This way, you can satisfy the both of you. Nairobi with your eager hands that gropes her chest and hips, and soft kisses and bites on her neck - and yourself by grinding your sex against her thigh.
“Fuck… You’re insatiable, Athens.”
Nairobi growls.
“So what?” “'So what?' We’re in the middle of a damn heist!”
Her frustration is coming back and you can tell she’s fighting the pleasure she’s feeling right now.
Out of all robbers, Nairobi is the one to take the Professor’s plan seriously and never lets her guard down. But this also means she gets no rest. While the rest of the group take turns sleeping, Nairobi usually stays up, guarding the hostages, printing money and making sure the plan goes smoothly. You notice the dark circles under those brown eyes you love, and how the calm woman you adore is more tense and short-tempered.
“You’re so stressed. You deserve a lil’ break, Nairobi…”
You mumble softly, continuing stimulating yourself against her clothed thigh, whilst touching her. She squirms under you and bites her lip to muffle a moan. You enjoy watching her flustered and it only encourages you to continue, more eager this time.
“You’re such a slut sometimes, you know…”
The dark haired woman says under ragged breathing. Her words surprise you a bit, she is usually very soft and is not that fond of degrading names. But you can’t say you hate it. With a chuckle, you ask:
“Did you just-”
You never get to finish your sentence before she starts bouncing her leg. She rests her head against the cushions on the couch, her dark eyes staring and following your every movement.
“Why did you stop riding? I thought you wanted this.”
Nairobi’s sweet voice is almost mocking now and she looks very entertained. The sensation feels good but intense. It’s almost too much to handle, as you continue riding her. She bounces her leg faster and you let out a loud moan.
“Not so loud.”
She hisses, her hand traveling up to your mouth. She parts your lips with her thumb, and you obediently open your mouth for her only to close it again, wrapping your lips around her thumb.
She keeps holding her hand on your face, muffling your loud moans with her fingers as her other hand keeps you in place, not allowing you to move freely. Your own arousal grows as your body heats up. Your panties are already soaked and you feel that intense knot in your stomach, so close to that sweet release. The friction is unbearable and you scream into your lover's hand every time her bouncing leg slams against your swollen clit.
You barely reach an orgasm before Nairobi stops moving her leg and gently pulls you off her thigh. Confused and frustrated, you whine in response.
“Aww, you poor thing…” Nairobi smirks and looks at you. “You’re right, honey… I do need some stress relief. Will you be an angel and lock the doors?”
Your legs tremble when walking. You lock the door to the office and pull the blinds down too. As you turn around, your lover sits on the couch, her legs spread invitingly. With embarrassment, you notice the wet spot on her thigh, from where you sat.
“Did you cum from that?” She teases, her hungry gaze at your wet panties. “Without my permission? Dirty girl…”
She laughs and pulls the zipper to her uniform. She doesn’t even need to order you to do anything. You kneel before her, sitting on the floor between her thighs.
“Remind me to get a new jumpsuit before we head down to the others again.” She mumbles. You lean forward and kiss her lips, neck and chest while you help her get the jumpsuit off, tossing it to the floor. You give her an eager kiss before leaving wet kisses on her body. You rub her wetness through the thin fabric, making Nairobi react with a soft moan.
“Not so loud.”
You tease, using her own words against her. She laughs and observes your every move as you slide her underwear off. She puts her legs over your shoulder, forcing your face closer to her glistening pussy.
“Fuck… That’s my good girl.”
Nairobi murmurs. You dig right in, working feverishly on satisfying her with fingers and tongue. Your fingers work in and out of her wetness, whilst you lick her wet folds and tease her clit with the tip of your tongue, getting a taste of her.
It’s a turn on, hearing her moan into a pillow, and watching her face flushed red from the overwhelming pleasure. You feel proud of yourself for being able to make her feel good and can already see she’s more relaxed now, all stress and frustration fading and being replaced with pleasure. You lost track of time, there’s only you and Nairobi right now.
She lets out a sigh of relief and looks down at you with a satisfied smile. But she won’t let you stop just yet…
“You know… This is some hella good stress relief. I should use you more often, babe.”
I'm so fucking obsessed with Nairobi rn bruh 😭 Don't be suprised if I go into a hyperfixation and post 10 different Nairobi scenarios lmao

The Artist (Alicia Sierra x fem!reader)
Summary: Y/N (a.k.a. Akita) is part fo the robbery and works backstage as negotiator. Even though her career in art didn't work out, she still loves it. When she meets the leader Inspector she feels immediately drawn to her and starts sketching...
Requested: yes
Warnings: mentions of violence, fluff, teasing, SPOILERS
A/N: sorry but I lost the request! I'm really really sorry, hope you can forgive me!! Here it is, this was really fun to write! 🥰🥰❤❤
Tumblr media
...
Drawing was my greatest love when I was a teenager.
While other girls may have been into make-up, or drama, or gossip, or boys... I'd stay in and draw, paint, sketch. Name it, I've tried it at least once. I was an unusual girl growing up. Girls at that age were interested mostly in the hobbies listed above, while I loved the exact opposite: drawing, reading, listening to music, learning languages, playing with dogs, studying like there was no tomorrow.
At university, I chose Graphic Design. And I loved it. Learning about my favorite thing in the whole wide world, filling in the gaps of my abilities, picking up new skills... that felt like heaven. I got out of college with my head high, amazing grades and an even better graduation. Although I wasn't prepared for the world outside. Soon enough, I started struggling to pay rent, especially in a city like Madrid. And I had no choice but to give it up.
Then, I met the Professor. A man just as unusual as me, who just so happened to have saved my life right there and then. The first heist was a success. I worked well with the gang, and given my love for working behind the scenes, I was the negotiator. Raquel was a very interesting individual, but I didn't get to speak to her much, as the Professor was the leading voice of the heist. It didn't bother me at all when they got together, to be honest I was rooting for them. When it all ended, I took my share of the money and went to live in Japan. It was beautiful: the perfect balance of modernity and tradition, the amazing food, the beautiful views, the friendly people, the new language. Every little detail fascinated me.
A year later, I came to know that Rio got kidnapped. And there I was again, back into the heist business. Once again cast as negotiator, this time I had to take the upper hand, because the Professor and Lisboa had their own part of the plan to take care of.
...
Current day - during the heist
I rested my feet onto the table of my hideout as I watched the TV intently. The news channel finally gave me important information: Rio was in Spain, finally. The poor boy took a tumble down the plane, falling on the ground in handcuffs and dirty clothes. Poor thing, I thought. Behind him, a figure emerged, a red-haired pregnant woman in a white coat and black cap. Inspectora Alicia Sierra. I found myself unable to tear my eyes from her face, as if I was in a trance: she was a very attractive woman, there's no denying that.
I wanted to remember that face while talking to her, so I was quick to reach for a pencil and paper and start reproducing her face. I glanced at the TV once in a while to get an idea of what she was like, memorising her traits as I transferred them on the paper sheet.
...
I pulled on my headphones and lined up the microphone to the side of my face, trying to calm my nerves before talking to the woman I was pining for a few hours ago. I picked up the drawing I made earlier and used it as a reference to draw her from other angles.
"Professor." A female voice spoke. Calm, collected, confident.
"Inspectora Sierra, how lovely to hear you." I replied, mirroring her tone.
"Ah, señorita Akita. I wasn't expecting you." Alicia said. "Well? Aren't you going to ask me what I'm wearing? I'd say it runs in your gang to play games like this."
"I'm assuming maternity clothes. Tell me, is it a boy or a girl?" I tantalised, running the pencil on the paper to make a rough sketch of her face.
She chuckled. "My, my, nosy girl. I didn't remember the Professor being this curious, but between you and me, sweetheart, I like you better." She clicked her tongue, presumably paired with a wink.
"Touché, preciosa," I shook my head, laughing at her attempt at flirting. "That's enough niceties for now, you can flirt with me later. Let's cut to the chase."
There was a long pause after she laughed in shock at my bluntness. I smirked, almost too proudly for my first conversation with a pregnant woman I've seen once on the TV. During the pause, I kept my eyes trained on the rough piece of paper while my wrist made a flicking motion to draw her strands of hair.
"I'm assuming your dear sister is having the time of her life. I don't think you've escaped to Germany. We could find her in a heartbeat, you know. I could barely picture it, a 17 year old girl thrust in the midst of rapists, drug users, murderers in the jails of, say, Northeast Asia? Ah, the poor thing. So young and so naive, the spat image of you, she wouldn't last a beat." She chuckled humourlessly.
"And what's your point, Inspectora? Your empathy for my little sister doesn't add up to when you tortured Rio, does it?" I didn't even bother to look up from my work as her threat was no longer valid. My little sister died of cancer last month, and the news hadn't reached Spain. That offered us a very good advantage.
She ignored my comment. "Akita, listen to me very carefully. Turn the Professor and Raquel in, and your sister remains untouched. Think about it, sweetheart. And think quickly, I am a busy woman, as you know."
"I most certainly do, señora Sierra." I said innocently, in a stupid but successful attempt to tease her.
"It's señorita now, actually." Alicia corrected.
"Good to know," I mirrored her flirty attitude from before. "On second thought, you were right, how foolish of me. What are you wearing?"
"You're impossible, Akita," she replied, laughing. "Don't get any ideas, sweetheart. I'm way out of your league."
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah."
I gasped in mock offense, making her laugh genuinely. "Well, am I mistaken or am I actually growing on you? I bet you wouldn't be upset about being out of my league if that was the case."
"Shut up, sweetheart." She said mischievously.
"Make me." I teased her.
Her playful scoff was interrupted silently as she suddenly hung up.
I was confused for a moment as my hand moved the pencil confidently on the paper. As I stroked the graphite onto the rough surface, my mind wandered. Alicia was flirting shamelessly with me, in front of all her colleagues, and in a recorded phone call, no less. So either she was really brave or really stupid. Maybe a mixture of both.
This woman was really mesmerising: she was incredibly intelligent, as I could tell, she was confident, sarcastic, dominant and gorgeous. She was brave for raising a child on her own, as she specified that she wasn't married.
If the circumstances were different, I'd even go after her. I wished I had met her differently, because this woman was far beyond average and just about the quickest crush I've ever gotten. She was certainly not someone you'd want to lose. I wanted to talk to her again, leaving out our positions in this makeshift war. It seemed like we were getting along perfectly, flirting with each other as if the call wasn't recorded.
I took my hand away from the drawing and looked at my finished product. I was extremely proud of it: it looked just like her, the lines were confident and creative and the shading in a cross-hatching technique was on point. I bet she'd like it, I thought. My eyes lifted from the paper as I got an idea. Maybe she would.
Aikido, my Akita Inu, looked at me quizzically and tilted his head, almost as if questioning my decision. "Who knows? Maybe this will be what wins her heart." He yawned in response. "Oh, shut up, Aikido."
...
It had been a few days since I sent the drawings to Sierra, and apparently it went over well. The next time we negotiated she asked everyone to leave the tent and didn't confront me about the drawing, but rather she got friendlier: she started to open up, telling me things about her, showing her soft side, laughing, being careless, even saying that we'd meet one day. Of course, she loved the sketch, but we were still enemies, enemies who were intensely pining for each other and instead of doing something about their attraction they played games from a phone call and flirted shamelessly. Because acting on things was the most difficult thing you could ever do in your life. It requires courage, determination, confidence, and given the circumstances, you needed double these qualities.
And I was getting brave these days. And also a little crazy.
So I started sending her a sketch every other day to tease her. One day it was a sketch of her, the next of Aikido, the next of the police tent, the next of her holding the teddy bear.
It continued like this until she sold out the Government and started working alone. First she stopped by Sergio, which ended up in the ultimate team-up as they were on their own and Raquel was finally out of custody and in the bank. Then she left the Professor alone for a while.
...
I heard a knock on my door and Aikido got up on his feet, startled. I carefully stepped closer and tried to take a peek. My eyes caught a flash of red that I'd recognise anywhere, I immediately knew that was Alicia. I quickly opened the door and she looked at me, almost fazed. After a few seconds, she smiled at me, and said, "I promised you we'd meet, one way or another." I chuckled, moved, and let her in immediately. The second hideout of the heist was none other than my own home, a detached house in the middle of nowhere that the Professor was able to get me. It suited me perfectly, there was room for me and Aikido, hell, it even had an atelier.
"Welcome to my home, Inspectora," I said as she took in her surroundings.
"You don’t have to call me that anymore. Just 'Alicia' will do, sweetheart," she replied, a smirk playing on her lips. I gazed at her sweetly, meanwhile surprised at how my attraction to her had grown from a small infatuation to a full-on crush, and realised she didn't have a baby bump anymore.
"You-you gave birth?"
"Yeah, I did. In the stormwater tank."
"That must have been... uncomfortable."
"Sweetie, I had to blow a Saint Bernard out my ass. It would have been uncomfortable even on a hospital bed."
I couldn’t help but laugh at her joke, and soon enough she joined in. "So, is it a baby boy or a baby girl?"
"Girl. I named her Victoria." She said.
"That's a lovely name." I smiled at her.
"Speaking of names," Alicia leaned back on the table and gazed at me, her tantalising green eyes twinkling with mischief. "What's your name?"
That question took me off guard, as I almost tripped over my own feet while holding a glass of water.
She chuckled at my antics. "Somebody got flustered."
I cleared my throat. "Keep telling yourself that, Alicia." I loved how her name rolled off my tongue so easily.
"So you're not answering?"
"Not for the time being, no," I clicked my tongue and winked at her, mocking her for the first time we met. "I like being called Akita."
"Like the dog?" She asked.
"Actually, like the city. But yeah, also like the dog."
As if on cue, Aikido trotted inside.
"Oh, yeah, this is Aikido." I said briefly as Alicia offered her hand for the dog to smell.
"How adorable, you even have an Akita Inu." She noticed, chuckling when Aikido rubbed himself on her legs for pets.
"Wow, he never does that with anyone," I said in surprise. "Maybe he has a good feeling about you."
"Well, I have the blessing of your dog now, so we can't go wrong, can we?" She joked, scratching his weak spot. Soon enough, she even got his leg going.
"He really must love you," I laughed. "Usually he's very cat-like, I'm surprised he's actually asking to be petted."
"Well, I tend to grow on people." She said charismatically.
"Yeah, you do." I mumbled. "Hey, why don't you get comfortable? I'll make dinner and we could watch something."
"Dinner sounds great, thanks," she sighed in relief and I led her to the couch.
"What do you feel like having?" I asked her.
"Whatever you want, sweetie. Your house, your rules." She replied.
"Okay." I hunted through my fridge, hoping to find something good. I found a few eggs, and enough stuff to make salad. "You must be tired after giving birth and running away from the police. I'll make you something to restore your energies."
"Yeah, it was quite the drama. I've barely had time to breathe," she rested her head on the back of the couch at an angle where she could look at me. "You know, you draw really well."
"Oh, thanks." I accepted the compliment.
"Where did you go to art school?" She asked.
"Madrid Academy of Art," I replied. "How did you know I went to art school?" I immediately felt stupid after asking that question.
"Well, a ton of things gave you away. First of all, your proportions in the sketch of me you sent me. Obviously, your choice of media and type of paper that go well together, and the fact that you used binder to keep the sketch's lightfastness in a quantity that was balanced as to avoid damaging it. Then the smaller things, like your posture, the way you sit, the way you hold things, your hands, your eye for observation, and of course, the unmistakable smell of paint coming from over there..." she pointed at a room on the other side of the house. "...which I assume is your atelier."
"Wow, you're good," I laughed in shock. "And yeah, that is my atelier."
Alicia hummed in satisfaction. I turned around to check on her and she was looking at me in a different way now: her pupils were dilated and she was making puppy eyes at me, batting her eyelashes while pouting. Her eyes asked the question.
"You want to see the atelier?" I asked her, surprised.
"Yeah, I'd love to," she replied.
"You have beautiful eyes," I blurted out, and immediately cringed internally. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
I heard her get up from the couch and silently step elsewhere. Since I couldn't hear her anymore, I turned around to check on her and found her in front of me in a heartbeat, hovering over me while my back hit the counter. I swallowed thickly and tried to hide my blush, but she noticed right away. Alicia grazed my face with her fingertips, starting at my cheekbone and trailing down my jawline. Her fingers brushed my neck for a split second, sending a shiver down my spine. Then her thumb slowly traced over my bottom lip, her eyes flickering to my eyes and back to my mouth. Her intelligent eyes asked for permission to kiss me, and I gave in without thinking twice.
In a second, Alicia brushed her lips against mine tentatively, with hesitation. She checked on me to see if I was okay, and that was all she needed. Without a second thought, she crashed her lips on mine more eagerly, her hand resting on the back of my head. I cupped her cheek and kissed her back with the same amount of desire.
She pulled away and leaned her forehead on mine, sighing in content. I licked my lips and gazed back at her, clearing my throat out of embarrassment. "That was, um... that was good."
"Good." She said.
The next few minutes were quiet. I cooked while she kept her eyes trained on my every motion, as if to make sure I didn't get hurt. When dinner was ready, I prepared our plates and took her to the couch. She sat down next to me, thanking me for the food. I put my feet up on the table and she followed suit. I turned on the TV, and she looked for a movie to watch together.
"This one?"
"This one."
The evening was quiet. We ate our food, which she really appreciated, by the look on her face, and Aikido stole a couple of pieces as well. About halfway through the movie, Alicia leaned her head on my shoulder, snuggling her body into mine. I froze in place, taken off guard by the action, but honestly I kind of like it.
"Is this okay?" She asked me, noticing the look on my face.
"Of course," I smiled at her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me. I pressed a kiss to the top of her head and felt her melt into the embrace.
"Your hug is so amazing," she sighed. "It makes me feel safe."
My heart leaped out of my chest at that. "You are safe, honey," I kissed her temple lovingly. "I promise."

Your legs draped off the edge of the drained pool, beer clad in your hand as you droned out the laughter of those behind you. Everything up until this moment had all been fun and games, but now it was the real deal. Tomorrow was the official beginning of the heist and quite possibly the end of your life. Everyone was enjoying their last night of freedom, but you couldn’t bring yourself to celebrate. Bringing the bottle to your lips, you took a swig of the bitter drink. “Hey kid! Are you even old enough to drink?” Nairobi yelled from behind you, a drunken chuckle flying past her lips. Huffing, you rose to your feet with a grunt, flipping her off before strolling away.
The ghost of a smile crept onto your face as you arrived in front of a familiar door, knocking on it three times. “Fuck off Rio!” Tokyo yelled, her voice coming out muffled. “It’s just me,” you spoke, the door swinging open a few moments later. “What’s up?” She questioned, moving aside to let you in when you offered her a bottle of beer. Shutting the door behind you, she plopped down on the bed, offering you a place by her side. Silently taking a seat, you stared blankly at the window ahead, eyes trained on the stars. “Are you ready for tomorrow?” Tokyo asked, lightly patting your back before taking a swig of beer. Merely humming in response, you placed the bottle on the floor, anxiously fiddling with your fingers.
“What are you worried about?” She interrogated, placing her own drink down as she turned to face you. “Everything,” you mumbled, nerves getting the best of you as you picked at the skin of your fingers. “As long as everyone does their job, it’ll all be fine,” Tokyo assured, sending you a tight lipped smile. “How can you possibly know that?” You question incredulously, leg jumping up and down with unease. “Because I believe in the professor,” she spoke with conviction, resting her hand atop your thigh. Shaking your head rapidly in uncertainty, you began to spiral, each thought worse than the previous. “Hey,” Tokyo muttered gently, cupping your cheeks, forcing you to meet her stern gaze.
“You trust me, right?” The older girl asked, caressing your cheeks with the pads of her thumbs in hopes of comforting you. Nodding hesitantly as you stared into her chocolate orbs that swirled with sincerity, gulping at the close proximity of your faces. “Then believe me when I say everything will be okay,” she proposed, sending you a small smile. Sighing, you reluctantly nodded your head, expecting her to let go, but she only gazed deeper into your eyes. “Tokyo?” You questioned, voice unsteady as you caught sight of something unfamiliar dancing in her eyes. She hummed distractedly, gaze flickering down to your lips, and then back to your eyes. “Tokyo…” You trailed off as her face began to inch closer to yours experimentally, lips lingering just short of yours.
She groaned in frustration as several drunken knocks interrupted just before she could capture your lips. “What is it?” Tokyo grit out in annoyance, yanking the door open to meet Rio’s innocent smile. “Tokyo!!” He shouted in excitement, words slurred as he stumbled into the room. Tripping over his own feet, he fell into Tokyo, slumping against the poor girl as she held him up with a grunt. “Idiot,” the older girl shook her head in disappointment, flicking him on the forehead. Rio whined in pain, wrapping his arms around her as he drunkenly babbled about how great she was. “I’m gonna get some fresh air,” you mumbled, waving sarcastically before slipping away. “Wait!” Tokyo yelled after you, followed by a thud and a loud yelp, but you were already out the door.
Walking aimlessly through the halls of the large building, you ran a frustrated hand through your hair when you realised you’d left your drink behind. “Hey!” Tokyo shouted after you, her voice echoing throughout the corridor as she jogged to catch up. “Hey?” You muttered in confusion, wondering what had happened to the drunk boy that followed her everywhere. “Why’d you leave?” She questioned, chest rising and falling rhythmically as she caught her breath. “Um, you looked busy,” you responded lamely, avoiding her piercing gaze. An awkward tension arose between the two of you as your mind wandered to your previous interaction. You could tell she was thinking the same by the way her eyes unconsciously travelled to your lips.
“What did you do with Rio?” You asked in an attempt to rid yourselves of the painfully awkward tension. “He passed out with half his body on the floor and the other half on my bed, so I just left him there.” Tokyo responded with a careless shrug, chuckling as your expression morphed into one of surprise. “By the time you get back he will have already vomited on your bed,” you shuddered at the thought, face scrunched up in disgust. “Oh, I’m not going back,” she mentioned casually, the ghost of a smile creeping onto her face. “Huh? Then where will you sleep?” You tilted your head in confusion, brows furrowed as you stared at her. “With you,” Tokyo stated simply, a smirk tugging at her lips as coughed in shock. “Come on,” she urged with a playful smile, grabbing you by the wrist and dragging you back towards the plethora of rooms.
She tugged you into your room as if it were her own, letting go only to make herself comfortable on your single bed that was far too small for two people. “I can sleep on the floor if you’d like,” you offered, scratching the back of your neck in discomfort. “Get over here, idiot,” Tokyo grinned at your awkwardness, pulling you on to the bed. You landed with half your body atop hers, a grunt leaving your lips as you attempted to brace yourself. Your eyes were blown wide in shock as you stared down at her, blinking owlishly as smirked up at you. “Sorry,” you muttered apologetically, rolling off her to stare up at the ceiling. Your shoulder was pressed firmly against hers, crammed in together on the bed.
“Idiot,” Tokyo grumbled, roughly tugging you into her side, your head landing atop her chest. You tensed in her hold, tilting your head to stare up at her in surprise. “What?” She asked, raising a perfectly sculpted brow, tightening her grip on your waist. “Nothing,” you mumbled shyly, heat rushing to your cheeks as you dropped your head back to her chest. You whined at the feeling of her chest rumbling with laughter, burying your face into the crook of her neck in embarrassment. “Good night,” she whispered, a teasing grin spreading across her face. “Night,” you mumbled, eyes fluttering closed as you allowed yourself to succumb to sleep, far too comfortable in her arms for your own good.
~~
This wasn’t supposed to happen. No one was meant to die, everyone should’ve made it out alive, whether they were hostages or robbers. No lives should’ve been lost, but it had all gone horribly wrong. You paced anxiously through the halls, hands trembling by your sides. One of the hostages had been shot, you distinctly remembered the deafening bang that echoed throughout the establishment. Your heart thrashed wildly in your chest, eyes unblinking as your chest rose and fell rapidly. Flinching as a nearby door slammed shut, sounding far too similar to the gunshot that had ended someone's life mere minutes ago. Beginning to feel light headed, you braced yourself against the wall, squeezing your eyes tightly shut.
Your legs trembled, knees weakening significantly as you slid down the wall. Hearing your own gun clatter to the floor made your chest tighten, ear ringing as you pulled your knees up to your chest. Swallowing harshly as you gasped for air, feeling your throat begin to constrict. An innocent person had lost their life and you had played a part in their death. Tears streamed endlessly down your cheeks, sobs ripping from your throat as a vision of Misun’s lifeless face appeared in your mind. “Y/n!” Tokyo shouted in alarm upon finding you curled up in the hall, body rocking back and forwards. Crouching down beside you, she brushed the hair from your face, reaching down to grasp your hand on her own.
She didn’t care that you squeezed her hand so tight it hurt, she just needed you to know that she was there. Tokyo brought your other hand to her chest, letting you feel the steady rise and fall of her chest. Her forehead creased in a frown as another broken sob bubbled from your lips, eyes still held tightly shut. “Come on, let me see those pretty eyes,” she whispered, a proud, encouraging grin spreading across her face as your eyes hesitantly fluttered open. “Good girl, you’re doing great. Can you breathe with me?” Tokyo questioned as gently as possible, afraid that her voice may startle you. Blinking back the tears that blurred your vision, you nodded your head stiffly, feeling your lungs begin to burn.
“Just like that,” she smiled, releasing a sigh of relief as you began to calm down, sobs turning into small hiccups. She took your chin between her thumb and forefinger upon noticing your fearful gaze lock onto her gun, tilting your head to meet her gaze instead. “Everything’s gonna be okay,” she assured, sending you a tight lipped smile. “You think you can stand for me? I’ve got something to show you,” Tokyo mentioned, her unusually warm gaze bringing you an odd sense of comfort. You hummed with a reluctant nod, not trusting your voice enough to speak. “Here, I’ll help you,” she rose to her feet, offering you her hand. You let her pull you up with a firm tug, her arm snaking around your waist as a precaution.
You tried not to let your mind wander as she guided you through the complex corridors, focusing on the way her fingers pressed into your hip with a firmness that kept you grounded. “We’re here,” Tokyo whispered in your ear, breath tickling your skin. Lifting your gaze, you found yourself blinking in surprise at the sight of Denver standing before you. You gulped audibly upon catching a glimpse of the blood splatters that adorned his neck, stiffening in Tokyo’s hold. “It’s not what you think,” she assured, nodding her head towards the ajar door. Hesitantly peeking inside, a gasp of disbelief flew past your lips, there sat Misun, alive and breathing. “Are you sure she should be here?” Denver questioned, looking at the wounded girl in unease. “I trust her,” Tokyo stated, the ghost of a smile tugging at her lips as she glanced at you.
~~
Fuck, why did things keep going so awfully wrong? There was an agent inside and he planned on killing Tokyo. The mere thought had your stomach churning uncomfortably, lungs burning as you sprinted through the establishment. You didn’t have time to think about what the several gunshots that echoed throughout the building could mean for her life. Adrenaline fueled you to push harder, moving at a speed in which you never knew you could. Rounding the corner, you crashed straight into an unsuspecting person, toppling over and bringing them down with you. “Easy there,” a familiar voice spoke with a chuckle, your eyes wide as you gazed up at Tokyo. “You’re alive!” You cried out in relief, tackling her to the ground in a hug.
“Not for long if you keep squeezing me so tightly,” she coughed, shooting you an amused grin as you retracted yourself from her. “Sorry,” you muttered, eyes searching her body for any sustained injuries. “I’m fine,” Tokyo huffed, but you ignored her, frowning deeply upon catching sight of a dark red patch of blood on her shirt. “It’s not mine,” she assured, reaching out to grasp your hand. “You promise you’re not hurt?” You asked, eyes swirling with concern. “I promise, I’m not easy to kill,” she smirked, panicking as your eyes turned glassy. “Don’t even joke about that! I thought you were dead,” you sniffled, glaring up at her. “I couldn’t leave you,” she teased, patting your head with an affectionate smile as you clung onto her for dear life.
~~
You stared at the scene before you with wide eyes, watching as Berlin began to push Tokyo towards the open door. Parting your lips to take the claim you were the traitor, the words dying on the tip of your tongue as Nairobi jumped in front of them in a panic. “I’m the traitor,” she announced, a breath of relief slipping past your lips as everything came screeching to a halt. The matter was resolved in mere moments, but nothing was ever that easy when it came to the heist. Your brows furrowed in confusion as Tokyo revealed her plan to leave was still in motion, your head cocked to the side as she spoke to the group. Gnawing on the inside of your cheek as you watched a look of reluctance crossed her features, gaze conflicted as she continued. You knew it was important to get in contact with the professor, but you just wished it didn’t have to be her.
Reaching out to tug on her arm, you discreetly tugged her away from the scene for a brief moment. “You’re really leaving?” You asked, knowing it was a stupid question. Tokyo hummed in affirmation, shoulders tense as she glanced at the door in unease. “You promised everything would be okay,” you whispered, voice breaking mid-sentence. “And it will be,” she spoke with conviction, unsure as to who she was trying to convince. “I believe you,” you muttered, eyes filling with unshed tears as you allowed yourself to pretend that it was all fine for a brief moment. “I’ll come back for you, I promise,” she said, glancing down to your joined hands, lacing your fingers together.
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” you responded with a sad smile, letting the tears freely cascade down your cheeks. “I mean it. I’m not leaving you, not now, not ever.” Tokyo promised, her chocolate brown orbs that swirled with sincerity leaving you no choice but to believe her. “I’ll hold you to that,” you pointed an accusatory finger at her. “I’ll kill you myself if you don’t make it back,” you sniffled, a watery chuckle leaving your parted pink lips that she wanted nothing more than to kiss. “I guess this is goodbye,” Tokyo mumbled, squeezing your hand gently before reluctantly letting it go. “Don’t take too long,” you demanded, leaning up to press a lingering kiss to her cheek that felt painfully final. She blinked in surprise, nodding dumbly as a blush dusted her cheeks, desperately trying to remain stoic.
~~
You stared anxiously at Tokyo who stood stiffly in the hall, shoulders tensed and face blank. Nothing looked out of the ordinary, but you knew something was bothering the usually composed girl. Approaching her carefully, you offered her a small smile in hopes of easing her worries. “I’m glad you made it back safely,” you spoke, earning a distracted hum in response as she stared over your shoulder, refusing to meet your gaze. This definitely wasn’t the reunion you’d imagined, but everything about this heist so far had been unexpected, this was no different. “What are you thinking about?” You questioned with a frown, staring up at her in concern. “It’s not important right now,” she mumbled, tongue poking the inside of her cheek in mild annoyance.
“Are you worried about the new plan?” You asked, trying to meet her gaze, but to no avail. Huffing, she ran a hand through her hair in frustration as you continued to press her for answers. “Talk to me,” you pleaded, her jaw clenching in vexation. “Stop,” Tokyo muttered, hands curling into fists by her sides. “Look at me,” you begged, her harsh glare meeting your wide eyes. “I said stop,” she growled, taking a menacing step toward you. “Not until you tell me what’s wrong,” you shook your head in refusal, taking one step backwards for each step she forwards. “Everything’s fucking wrong!” She yelled, finally breaking as she backed you up against the cold wall with a painful thud.
“Oslo’s dead, Moscow’s dying, we have to be out of here in a day and the tunnel’s nowhere near finished!” She listed off every problem, eyes distant and filled with rage as she gripped your collar, keeping you pressed firmly against the wall. “Tokyo..” You trailed off with furrowed brows, trying to keep your composure. “You know why I’m so mad?” She snarled, grabbing your wrist as you attempted to push her away gently. “It’s because even when all that shit is going on, all I can fucking think about is you.” Tokyo yelled in frustration, lips twisted in a scowl as she tightened her grip on you in anger. “Tokyo, you’re hurting me,” you mumbled, but she ignored you, nails digging into your skin, leaving crescent shaped indents in her wake.
“I can’t stop thinking about how it could’ve been you that got shot and not Moscow. Fuck, I don’t know what I’d do with myself.” Tokyo gritted out, face hovering mere inches from yours. Gently prying her hand off your wrist, you reached up to cup her cheek, staring up into her chocolate orbs that swirled with uncertainty. You swallowed harshly as her gaze travelled to your mouth, licking her lips unconsciously. Rising to your tippy toes, you hesitantly began to lean closer, lips lingering just short of hers. Tokyo’s eyes were unfocussed as she gazed at you hungrily, lips barely brushing against yours before she jerked back. “Fuck,” she muttered, running her hands through her hair in distress.
“You distract me,” she admitted, eyes trained ahead thoughtfully, voice strained. You sucked your bottom lip between your teeth as she sent you a sideways glance. “I don’t have time for distractions,” Tokyo uttered with no ounce of emotion, eyes dull, her cold, piercing gaze sending a chill down your spine. She turned away before you could even begin to protest her claims, retreating down the corridor. Your eyes shined hopefully as she glanced over her shoulder, staring at you blankly. “Get back to work,” Tokyo ordered, shoving her hands into her pockets as she disappeared round the corner, leaving you hurt and confused, head spinning as thoughts raced through your head at a speed you couldn’t comprehend.
~~
Your mind was hazy throughout the rushed preparation, clouded with thoughts of Tokyo as you worked mindlessly. Catching yourself unconsciously bringing your fingers to your lips, remembering the feeling of her lips brushing against your before they were abruptly ripped away. Shaking your head in disapproval, you focused on the task at hand. Tokyo had made it abundantly clear that she wanted nothing to do with you, the thought leaving your heart aching painfully in your chest. The look in her eyes told you there was nothing you could do to convince her otherwise, so all you could do was obey her wishes. “You alright kid?” Nairobi approached you out of concern, placing a hand on your shoulder. Just as you parted your lips to dismiss her worries, the sound of repetitive gunfire halted you.
The two of you looked to each other with eyes wide in alarm, “they’re early,” you rushed out in a panic. You began running towards the sound without a second thought, Nairobi hot on your tail, increasing your pace upon hearing Rio’s screams of agony. Nothing could have prepared you for the sight of Tokyo laying deathly still in Rio’s arms as he cried out her name. Ignoring Nairobi’s shouts of protest, you rushed to her side, tears springing to your eyes as you desperately tried to shake her awake. Paying no mind to the faint sting in your side as shattered glass scattered all around you, Tokyo being your only concern. With a shaky hand, you pressed your fingers to her neck, struggling to find her pulse. A choked sob ripped from your lips as her eyes abruptly snapped open, Rio pulling her into a tight hug as her chest heaved up and down.
Meeting her gaze over his shoulder for a brief moment, your eyes glassy as she stared blankly at you. “Let’s hurry and get out of here,” she ordered, avoiding your gaze as her eyes swirled with guilt. “Tokyo..” You muttered, voice unsteady as you watched her with furrowed brows. Rising to her feet, she rushed to Nairobi’s aid, beginning to shoot back at the shielded men. Following her with a frown, you did the same. Perhaps once you got out of this place you would sit down and have a proper conversation, but that could wait for now. You shot blindly at the armed officers, disregarding the now searing pain in your abdomen, ducking down and covering your mouth as tear gas fogged your vision.
You stumbled through the gas, the now unbearable pain in your side almost brought you to your knees. “Come on,” Tokyo yelled, pulling you through the exit by your sleeve as you coughed. Sweat trickled down your unhealthily pale face, legs burning as you tried to keep up with the rest, barely making it to the safe. Your breaths were sharp and unsteady as you were ushered down the ladder, Tokyo following closely behind you as you staggered through the tunnel. Legs shaking unsteadily as you stumbled towards the professor, their exchange falling deaf in your ears as you kept your gaze firmly on Tokyo, afraid of what you might find if you looked down to your stomach. All you knew was that something was seriously wrong.
“Tokyo,” you uttered weakly, grasping her hand before she could jump into the water. “What is it?” She questioned harshly, whipping her head around to face you. Her brows furrowed in confusion as you collapsed against her, a firm grip on your hips kept you from falling. “I’m sorry,” you murmured, slumping in her hold as she looked down to you with wide eyes. “No no no,” she muttered in disbelief, shaking her head rapidly in refusal as her eyes travelled to the blood that seeped through your jumpsuit. Tokyo’s eyes blurred with tears as she gently lowered you to the ground, cradling your body in her arms. “How bad is it?” You asked, the older girl clenching her jaw as she swallowed a sob that threatened to bubble from her throat.
Assessing your wound with a frown, she glanced back at you with her bottom lips sucked between her teeth. “You’re gonna be fine, we’re both making it out of this alive.” She declared, nose twitching as she sniffled, a sad smile adorning your lips as she lied. “What will we do when we get out?” You asked, fighting to keep your eyes from fluttering shut as you exhaled sharply. Tokyo’s lips tugged upwards in a thoughtful smile as she gazed down at you with glassy eyes. “You always said you wanted to travel the world,” she reminisced, a grin spreading across your face as you recalled the night you’d stayed up all night talking about everything and anything. Humming in content, your eyes began to droop, the urge to succumb to ‘sleep’ becoming much harder to resist in Tokyo’s comforting hold.
“Why did it have to be you?” Tokyo finally broke, reaching down to brush the hair from your face, gently caressing your cheek with the pad of her thumb. “I’m sorry,” you apologised, forehead creasing in a frown. “I should be the one saying that,” she complained, blinking back unshed tears as your breaths began to quicken. “It doesn’t matter now. I already forgave you,” you replied, struggling to get the words out. “You should save your breath,” Tokyo ordered, a stray tear cascading down her cheeks. “We never stood a chance, did we?” You managed to stutter out, a deep frown plastered on her features. Your hand trembled as you reached up to swipe the tears from her cheeks, she leaned down to meet you halfway with a sniffle.
“We can still-” She stopped as your breaths became ragged, your hand dropping to your side limply. “Tokyo, I’m scared,” you confessed weakly, head lulling to the side as your fingers twitched. “It’s okay, I’m here,” she assured, reaching for your trembling hand, giving it a calming squeeze. Her heart clenched in her chest as you tried to return the gesture with a weak grip, tears freely flowing down her cheeks. “I know it’s bad timing-” you coughed, wincing in pain, eyes barely open. “But I think I love you,” you admitted with a watery chuckle, voice almost inaudible, but she heard you loud and clear. “I don’t expect you to-” you began, but she abruptly surged forwards, lips smashing against yours in a bruising kiss.
You finally allowed your eyes to flutter shut, faintly aware of the salty taste of your tears as her soft lips moved against yours. A blissful sigh escaped your parted lips as she deepened the kiss, her hands cupping your cheeks as she desperately tried to convey her feelings. “I love you too,” Tokyo whispered against your lips, forehead pressed to your as her eyes fluttered open. You remain unmoving, the hint of a content smile plastered on her sickly pale face. “Y/n?” She questioned, lips quivering as she stared down at your peaceful expression with eyes that shone with fresh tears. “Y/n?!” Tokyo cried out, shaking your shoulders in a desperate attempt to wake you. “No..” She muttered in disbelief, voice cracking as a sob ripped from her throat.
Nairobi and Helsinki approached her carefully, tears of their own threatening to fall. “We have to go,” the older woman muttered regretfully, looking down to your lifeless body with a frown. Helsinki reluctantly pulled Tokyo up from the ground, dragging her away from you as she thrashed in his grip. She didn’t care if she was being unreasonable, she promised she would never leave you, she wanted to stay by your side, heist be damned. “Can’t you do something?!” Tokyo pleaded with Rio, but he only shook his head gravely, unable to meet her pained gaze. “Y/n wouldn’t want this, she would have wanted you to live,” Nairobi said, but she couldn’t bring herself to care. Tokyo stared at you from afar, watching as you faded into the darkness as she was hauled further into the water.
“I don’t want to live without her,” Tokyo whispered weakly with teary eyes, a heart wrenching sob ripping from her throat.

Tumblr media
From the moment you and Jongho arrived at the hideout to learn how the heist would be carried out, everyone knew that “Berlin and Dublin” had something going on behind the scenes. Despite the brusque and rough appearance and nature of the North Korean man, there was a subtle softness that only a mere glimpse was ever seen when you were in the room or anywhere near him. Originally you weren’t supposed to enter the Mint, Jongho had insisted that you remain outside and completely out of the plan, but you were persistent and the Professor figured it may help keep his younger brother’s mind sane if you were inside with him. You played your part to a “T” throughout the beginning phases of the plan, entering the Mint without so much as a second glance from the guards before all havoc broke loose.
The Professor’s decision to send you in proved right when you managed to prevent him from killing both Miseon and Denver, even though it ended with him being punished for disobeying the orders set in place by the Professor regarding the hostages. Something you would later regret as you were cornered by Chulwoo unarmed with a gun aimed and ready to fire at you. But in true Jongho fashion he managed to save your life as he had done many times prior to the heist.
Things only seemed to get worse from there, Oslo died in the midst of a riot resulting in many of the hostages escaping, whilst Jongho became more and more…paranoid over who had betrayed all of them, nearly ruining the whole plan. You were convinced that the man you were so desperately in love with was slowly but surely losing his mind after not having taken the medicine he needed. Quite sincerely you feared that he would be the downfall of the heist. That his slow sinking into a crazed madman would get him killed. And just as you were convinced everything was going to complete shit, you found out more about the plan than you had ever been told.
Of course that didn’t come without a cost. Everything seemingly began to look less bleak, only for it all to come crashing down once more as yet another person lay dying, suffering from the consequences of the unpredictable decision humans are capable of making. Bringing to your current situation.
You were looking over some of the printed notes, thoughts racing as you prepared for the worst - Moscow’s impending death. It didn’t take a genius to know that there was no way the tunnel would be fully dug before he died from blood loss. You’d promised yourself you wouldn’t get attached to any of the other robbers from the start. Afterall, the likelihood of you ever seeing any one of them once it was all over was incredibly low. You came in with Jongho and you would be leaving with him - where you didn’t know, but you knew no one involved would ever cross paths again.
So why were you sobbing into your fist as you watched Denver plead for Rio to do something as his father took his last breath? Why did it break your heart to see Nairobi’s face twisting in inconsolable pain? Why had you felt sorry for Helsinki as he mourned the murder of his brother? Why did it pain you as much as it did to see Jongho so visibly emotional over the older man? Why did he have to tell you all his name with his last breath?
None of this was supposed to happen. No one was supposed to die. You guys were to come in, print the money, and leave. None of this was part of the plan.
Leaving the office you fell to your knees out on the walkway, your chest hurting beyond words as you struggled to breath. Arms wrapped around you lifting you up into a broad chest, attempting to console you. Your fists banged against Jongho’s chest cursing him for not forcing you to stay back. For not threatening you into leaving him sooner - not that you would’ve listened. You never did. And not a single word left his lips as he held you even long after everyone else found the strength to finish what they had started.
~~~
Shots rang out as you all fired consistently as the police closed in on the barricade they’d just barely managed to build. You only had to stall them. Just stall them long enough to give the team outside the rest of the money. Fueled by adrenaline, you were so focused on firing your weapon that you failed to notice everyone making a run in the direction of the tunnel. Had Jongho not dragged you away you would have stayed, surely dying in the process.
Inside the vault, you waited as everyone climbed down into the tunnel. Helsinki, Nairobi, you, and Jongho were the only ones left. As luck would have it, the bomb meant to block off the tunnel for your escape malfunctioned, the timer not being set off.
“We’ll be caught at this rate,” Jongho rushed out looking back and forth between where you guys were in the tunnel and the vault door. “I’ll stop them somehow.”
You rushed back up the ladder, noticing how close the police team was to getting a section of the vault open.
“What are you doing?” he asked to load a machine gun, eyes widening as he saw you coming back up.
“Are you crazy?” you exclaimed, knowing his plan was a suicide mission. “You’ll die here as soon as they get that open.”
He shrugged off his other gun, “I waited for my father. Even in the prison camp I waited. Thinking that he would come for me.”
“I’m not leaving you!” you cried pushing yourself up, his hand going to your shoulders and pushing you back down into the tunnel. “Jongho! I can’t leave you! You’ll die here!”
“All of us were born to die anyway. It’s only a matter of how soon you go.”
You argued with him, pushing against his hand in an effort to get out of the tunnel. “Jongho, you promised we’d both leave this place together! You promised me!”
He bit his lip looking away at the door before looking back at you, his eyes glazing over, “I promised to make sure you made it out alive. You can start over somewhere no one knows you. Fall in love again, have a family. I can’t do that. I’ve never been able to do that, not with this illness. I can’t give you that future you’ve dreamed of over and over again. But I’m grateful I was at least able to experience true love with you even if it was for a little while.” He choked up looking away, shouting down into the tunnel. “Helsinki! Nairobi! Get her out of here! You guys have to go now!”
Four sets of hands pull you down, Jongho’s pushing you away despite your own gripping onto his forearms for dear life.
“Jongho please!”
“I love you (y/n).”
~~~
Helsinki and Nairobi managed to drag you a ways down the tunnel, the exchange of rounds being fired now muffled. You struggled against their grips even as you nearbed the waterway. You finally managed to break away not setting a foot in the water. Looking at everyone you looked back towards the tunnel.
“I have to go back and get him,” you declared. “I can’t let him die.”
Helsinki reached out to stop you, your frame just barely getting out of his grasp as you grabbed a firearm laying beside you running back down the tunnel hoping you weren’t too late.
~~~
The explosion caused a ringing to fill your ears as you neared the entrance of the tunnel. Dust made its way down into the tunnel as you got closer yelling his name over and over again, despite not being able to hear properly.
“Song Jongho!” you yelled climbing out and making eye contact with him reaching out.
He looked a bit disoriented but shuffled in your direction going down the latter, leaning on you as you struggled down the tunnel together. The mixture of your panting breaths was all that could be heard before his grew harsher until he collapsed. He leaned his back against the wall, pushing you away.
“Go! Go, go, go, go,” he repeated over and over again, his shoving getting harsher. “What the fuck are you doing all the way back here, you crazy bitch?!”
Anger filled your body at his tone and own rage. While now certainly wasn’t the time for lovers quarrel over his term of choice referring to you, you couldn’t but yell back at him with as much anger as he was directing at you. “I’m not leaving you. You are not allowed to die without my permission. Get your shit together and let’s go!”
You looked over at the tunnel entrance noticing the light shining down. Grabbing him you went to force him to stand with you, but his arms stopped you. Hands gripping your biceps, forcing to you look at him, he spoke clearly and softly with clear worry for you evident in his voice.
“Hey, look at me now,” his eyes bore into yours. “At this rate everyone will die, not just us. Go now. Leave me your gun.”
Disbelief was equally as evident on you face as you listened to his words before you gripped the gun tightly, aiming at him for a brief second as you turned to aim at the bomb. “If you insist on dying here, I won’t stop you. But I will too. I’m staying with you. I’m not leaving you.”
He gulped his hands squeezing your arms, pulling you in as he kissed you tenderly, quickly pulling back. “I dragged you into this mess. I’m really sorry.”
“I’ve never regretted it once. I was and still am with you, the man I love, and that’s all that matters.”
You rushed back down the tunnel covering Jongho as you took aim at the bomb, an officer jumping down into the tunnel. You fired the first shot, just barely missing the tiny device. The officer jumped back out as you fired another shot, hitting the wall. The third shot you fired hit the bomb detonating it. A cloud of dirt moved towards the two of you quickly. Jongho grabbed you down and covered you with his body as best as he could to prevent you from getting hurt. Although with how close the two of you were to the bomb, that action wouldn’t have mattered.
~~~
You groaned as you shifted from underneath him, coughing as the combination of fumes from the bomb and dirt filled your lungs. Jongho did the same as he crawled forward, pulling you with him. Your eyes looked back seeing the mound of dirt blocking what was once the entrance of the tunnel. The two of you were just barely out of reach of the mound, something you knew was sheer luck. Had you been any closer you’d be buried alive right now.
“Looks like neither of us is dying today,” Jongho muttered, rising to his feet, pulling you with him. “We’ll have to escape through the sewer system. Mix in with the crowd near the square to not get caught.”
“Let’s go then,” you mumbled, not letting go of his hand as you two made your way to your only chance of escape.
Many twists and turns later, you found yourself under a manhole cover. The chants of a crowd echoing from above. Footsteps echoed down as people stepped on the metal cover. Eventually the footsteps stopped, and Jongho climbed up the metal rods pushing the cover up and moving it over climbing out and looking around, noticing everyone was too busy collecting floating notes from the ground to notice him. He motioned for you to come out, helping you up. His arms didn’t leave you for a moment as you began walking in the direction of the crowd, picking up two masks and putting them as you disappeared among them hand in hand. Walking with the protesting crowd for a few blocks you eventually broke away, going down an empty alley.
“Do you have any change on you by chance?” he asked, not taking off the mask, but turning to face you. “I need to make a call once we find a payphone.”
~~~
You leaned against the glass enclosure of the payphone booth looking at Jongho as he pressed the buttons, smiling as someone picked up on the other end. Smiling, you pushed off the glass and took a few steps away, giving him some privacy to talk, leaning on the rails a few meters away and staring at the beautiful mixture of colors caused by the setting sun.
Not long after the colors fully faded into black, you heard Jongho’s footsteps approaching from behind you. His arms wrapped around your waist as he rested his chin on your shoulder. Your own hands went to his wrists gripping them tightly.
“So where do we go now?” you asked.
“Have you heard of Toledo, Spain?”
~~~
Months Later…
A soft breeze made its way into the living room through the open windows. You were busy cutting away in the kitchen, preparing a light lunch with the fresh produce from your small garden. The sound of keys jingling filled your eyes as a soft smile made its way onto your face, before you forced it away, only sparing a quick look in the direction of the front door.
“Before you get mad,” Jongho began raising his arms in defense. “I didn’t expect there to be that many people on the roads.”
You raised an eyebrow at him, a deadpan expression on your face.
“Look, I just want to buy you a small gift and be back before you could notice I was gone. Am I such a horrible person for wanting to get my girl something to celebrate a year since our grand escape.”
“As if you deciding to go on an impromptu suicide mission is something to celebrate.”
He winced. He never winced, before you became a constant in his life. Before he could’ve given two shits about what anyone said about his actions, but lord forbid you get upset with him over anything. Not that he would let you or anyone else know the kind of effect you had on him. He rolled his eyes as he closed the door behind him, placing the small paper bag on the counter in front of you without a word. Setting the knife down you opened the small bag pulling out a box. Taking off the lip you froze as you saw the golden jewelry set.
“You should wear them tonight, nothing else,” he spoke as he walked away satisfied with the look on your face as you registered his words.

Our little bubble - Denver | La casa de papel
Tumblr media
I was pacing around the backyard while I was thinking about the situation I was in, well I was in with a whole gang. We had been hiding out in Toledo for a couple of months now. Our days consisted of lessons from El professor explaining the heist, what plan we had to follow when things went south and parties in the evening. It was weird to live with total strangers and become great friends on such a short notice. The moment I walked in the house I immediately had a great connection with Helsinki and Tokio, they were my kind of people and we just clicked. Tokio and I had a similar background and Helsinki was like a brother I never had. We were a triple threat and I would do everything for them, I was sure about that. The weeks passed by and we grew closer as a gang, learning about each other’s lives and why they were picked by El professor. Talking about El professor, one of his rules was ‘no hookups within the gang’ and let’s just say that I didn’t like this rule at all. When I walked into the house not only Tokio and Helsinki caught my eye, no. There was another person where I had this connection with, he drove me crazy and he knew it all too well. I climbed up the fire escape towards the roof, I knew he would be here. He was standing at the end of the rooftop, taking a drag from the cigarette that he was holding between his fingers. So careless. ‘Don’t fall,’ I laughed softly while I walked up to him. He looked over his shoulder and a smile appeared when he saw me. That boyish grin was going to kill me someday. He had this grin that could light up any room, it suited him. ‘Havana,’ He laughed while he brought the cigarette to his lips, ‘what a pleasant surprise.’ The smoke formed a big cloud above him when he exhaled and only then did I smell the weed. ‘Having a party on your own I see?’ While I spoke I walked up to him, sat down with my legs over the edge.
El profesor specifically told us to use our code names, everyone traided their own name for their favorite city. I fell in love with Havana a couple of years ago so I didn’t had to think twice about my name. The names were fun, you could become your villain alter ego and talk about your plans after the heist. ‘It’s always a party everywhere I go.’ He sat down next to me and held the joint towards me, ‘wanna join the party?’ His blue eyes pierced mine when he waited for my answer, that boyish grin still on his lips. Our hands touched when I took the cigarette, leaving a warm feeling like my skin was burning. Remember that I told you that I had a problem with El Professor’s rules? Well he was the reason. We had been sneaking around, stealing kisses when no one saw it and sleeping together. I couldn’t even count the times anymore that I snuck out of the room I shared with Tokio to crawl into bed next to Denver and Rio doing it the other way around. I took a hit from the joint he gave me, inhaling the smoke, he didn’t roll a strong one, which was nice. Denver and I had this instant click from the moment we met, it was sexual tension mostly but I really enjoyed his company and it was by far the best sex I ever had. That man knew his way around in the bedroom. But besides that, he was funny, not the smartest person in the world but he was oh so kind and loving. He thought that he was on the top of the world and that he was untouchable.
‘Do you think that we can pull this off?’ I gave him his cigarette back while I exhaled the smoke. ‘The heist you mean?’ He nodded and I really didn’t have a clue. ‘El professor has thought this through so I think that if we follow his plan that everything will work out and that we will be partying on an exotic Island in no time.’ We had to trust the guy who picked us up out of nowhere, it was such a weird day when he found me. This wasn’t the life I had imagined when I was a little girl, I was going to be a nurse in a big city somewhere halfway around the world married to the love of my life and maybe even a kid, who knows. But that changed quickly when I met Rafa. I was twenty when I first met him, he was twenty-four and promised me the world and he gave it to me. He took me places I never had been before, bought me gifts and showered me with affection. But I soon found out where it all came from. He was part of a street gang who called themselves the red dragons, it started as a joke back in the day but the group of four friends turned out to be an oiled machine when it came to robberies and burglary. It didn’t take long before I was enrolled in their system. Rafa and I were living like Bonnie and Clyde for the next five years but then the dream ended. A heist went wrong, three people died that day, and I became a murderer. I left the red dragons the day after, left Rafa and never looked back. That was a year ago and now I was sitting with another criminal on the roof of an old house in the middle of nowhere in Toledo. I didn’t even know his real name. Life could take weird turns when you weren’t looking.
‘Havana?’ Denver snapped with his fingers in front of my eyes and pulled me out of my daydream. ‘Mh?’ He had a concerned look on his face when I snapped back to reality. ‘You okay?’ I plastered a grin on my face. ‘Yeah yeah, I was just thinking about how I got in this exact spot. I mean El professor selected us all based on a skillset, I’m still wondering why he wanted me to join.’ He got a look of mischief in his eyes. ‘I don’t mind having you here, you won’t hear me complaining.’ I started laughing when he placed his hand on my knee. ‘Oh of course you don’t mind my presence, piss off.’ I punched him playfully against his shoulder and rolled my eyes. He laughed softly but kept his hand in place. ‘No but I’m wondering the same thing, I have no clue why he picked me but I don’t mind, I had to get away from my old life.’ He just shrugged his shoulders. I already knew why, Moscú made sure that his son got away from his life since he was in quite some money problems with some kind of mob back home. ‘I also love the tension and action around the whole idea, makes my life interesting.’ He was looking straight ahead of us, into the nothingness of the night. ‘This is one of the biggest things, no it would be the biggest thing I ever did in my life if we pull this off.’ He laughed at the idea of this actually working out. I placed my hand on top of his and rested my head against his shoulder. ‘I’ve done some crazy heists in the past but this would also be the biggest thing I’ve ever pulled off if it all turns out to be okay.’ We sat in silence for a minute, snippets of memories from my time with the Red Dragons flashed through my mind. If they knew I was part of this they would be excited, just because we were fucking the system and there was nothing that the government could do about it.
‘Oh boy if this works out and we have millions I would move to a sunny Island, a small town where they threw these amazing parties and we could party on the beach until the sun came up in the morning.’ He looked down towards me and I turned my head, I could see the sparkle in his eyes. I re-positioned myself, turning my body towards him and tucking one of my legs underneath me, so I could face him. ‘I would be living in paradise every day for the rest of my life.’ I had the same idea but I wondered if it would be enough for the rest of my life. ‘I had the same idea but I’m not sure if it would be enough for the rest of my life you know.’ I said with a smile on my face. ‘I’m still a woman, I don’t know if I could give up the dream I’ve of getting married, maybe having a kid and living with the love of my life somewhere in a big city.’ I fiddled with my fingers while I was talking, I was afraid that I would sound stupid. ‘I don’t know if I could just do nothing for the rest of my life and party on a beach every couple of days with some strangers I met on the island. Not that I don’t want to live in paradise, I’m just afraid that paradise would get boring at one point or another.’ I looked up to see him smiling at me. ‘Are you laughing at me?’. He lifted his hands as a defence. ‘No no, I get what you’re saying, I just didn’t think of it in the long run just for the first couple of years, maybe five or ten.’ Did he realize that we would be in our thirties by then? But then it struck me that he could be way younger than I thought. ‘Dude, how old are you?’ Having this conversation made me realize that we still didn’t know anything about each other, including our real names and age. He wiggled his eyebrows when he saw me thinking and a grin grew on his face. ‘Guess.’ I bit on my lower lip, please be older than twenty-three I was thinking to myself. A guy could be three years younger, that would be okay. ‘Twenty-four?’ I guessed and the grin on his face grew while he shook his head. ‘Twenty-three?’ He started Laughing. ‘Dude please don’t tell me you’re younger than twenty-three?’ He shook his head. ‘I turned twenty-five a couple of days before we came here.’ He laughed, ‘by the look on your face I’m guessing you’re around the same age as me?’. I nodded. ‘Twenty-six.’ ‘Oh damn, got me a cougar.’ His laughter echoed through the night and I rolled my eyes playfully. ‘ What can I say, I’ve always wanted a toyboy.’ I shrugged my shoulders while I gave him an innocent look.
‘This is so weird,’ I mumbled after we had been silent for a minute. ‘Look at us flirting and hooking up nonstop, Tokio and Rio are doing exactly the same thing and we don’t even know the basics about each other’s lives.’ I ran a hand through my hair. The whole heist situation made everything exciting and the sneaking around was so much fun but would we be doing this if we just met in a bar? I thought about this quite a lot actually. His expression changed and he got a loving look in his eyes while he held his hand out.
‘Ricardo Ramos.’ My jaw dropped when I realized what he was doing.’No no no Denver shut up, I can rat you out if you tell me all of this.’ I slightly panicked when he kept talking. ‘My friends and family call me Daniel or Dani.’ ‘What the hell are you doing?’ I asked him while I looked at him with wide eyes, grabbing his hand with both of mine. Oh god, this was against all of El professor’s rules. ‘If I would have seen you in a club for the first time instead of here I would have made sure that I took you home that night, no doubt about that.’ His eyes had this look of mischief in them and he winked at me, he was so cheeky. Unbelievable. ‘I want you to know who I am outside of our little bubble.’ I nodded. ‘I live in a suburb of Malaga and I used to work in a garage as a mechanic before I became a thief.’ His blue eyes pierced mine while he was talking, he caught me off guard by doing this and I didn’t know what to say. ‘Are you going to tell me who you are or did I just do this all for nothing?’ A soft chuckle left my lips. ‘I’m y/n,’ I said after a couple of seconds, ‘y/n y/l/n, my friends used to call me y/n/n. I grew up in Olvera, it’s a small place in the southern part of the country not far from Malaga actually, by car it’s like an hour and a half I think. I moved to Cadiz to attend University but that didn’t go according to plan.’ He had a smile on his face while I was talking. ‘I was planning on becoming a nurse but then I met this guy, Raphaël, and I became part of a street gang and one thing let to another and now I’m here, sitting with you on a rooftop in the middle of nowhere ignoring rule number one of the guy who’s teaching us how to rob the Royal Mint of Spain.’ He laughed while he placed his hand on my cheek. The silver ring on his middle finger was cold, pressing to my cheek. ‘Y/n y/l/n from Olvera? Small world.’ Without saying anything else he pressed his lips on mine. We both didn’t know what this thing was between the two of us but it was enough for now.

Dating Rio would include headcanons
anon said: Can I please request headcanons for dating Rio ( La casa de papel) ? Congratulations by the way <3
A/N: hii, love!! thank you so much for your words and the request!! I hope you like this 💖
Tumblr media
At first, you weren't even supposed to be a part of the robbery
But then, in need of an extra pair of hands, the Professor had told Rio he could call you to join the plan, and your boyfriend couldn't be more excited about it
Later, Sergio would realize he had done good in inviting you in. You and Rio seemed to work a lot better together than you did on your separate ways
You easily complete each other's sentences, showing others how well you indeed know each other
Rio is very attached to you, so from time to time he would just pull you in for a hug you more than welcomed, and which would lead to a lot of teasing from the others
You worry a lot about the plan, but try not to show it to him, since he is so excited to get into action (you promise yourself to always stay close to him though, to protect him if he needs)
You love to place kisses on his neck randomly, just because you know it gets to him when you do that
He never shuts up about how you two seeing the world together once the robbery is done and you will both be rich will be the best thing of his life
And you love him for it

Overprotective-Rio x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Thank you so much for all the people who have read La Casa de Papel on shots! tI surprises me how much the fandom has grown! Just a year ago there were almost nothing on most of our beloved characters and now they are blowing up! Next week i'll update since someones birthday is approaching😄 can you guess who it is?
************
This heist really has me on my toes. I hold my gun tightly and look around to see that Berlin is nowhere in sight yet again. It's mine and Tokyo's shift to look after the hostages, everyone seems to be acting nicely. I hear footsteps behind me and I smirk when I see Rio shyly giving me a smile. I glance to see that Tokio has just left to go to the bathroom or probably check how Nairobi is doing with printing the euros. Either way I'm finally alone with Rio..well with a dozen of hostages around us. "How have you been doing?" I whisper when I reach his side and he seems surprised that I even approached to talk to him. "E-Everything's fine. How have you been doing?" I tiredly sigh and lovingly look into his light brown eyes. How I want to run my fingers up his slightly curly hair. "A bit stressed. Tokyo won't stop checking up on me." "It can get annoying but I don't blame her. She's just looking after her younger sister." Rio tries telling me and rests his hand against my shoulder. "And that's exactly why it sucks to be the youngest. There's just a couple of days left, what do you plan on doing after?" I ask curious to know what he'll do with the money. Rio takes a few seconds and smiles at me. "I'll go to an island. No one will find me there, can you imagine the tropical breeze and the sun shining down the ocean? There's where I want to go..there's where I want us to go." He pause and we look at each other with a smile. "That's if you want to go with me?" He proposes. I nod my head still smiling and have the need to give him a big hug but know that I can't. "Sounds like a plan then." I say with a wink and see him slightly blush. I look ahead of me and glare when I see Arturito's eyes on us. "What are you looking at?!" I angrily tell him ready to go ahead and kick him. Tokio calls me which made me stop and roll my eyes. I slouch my shoulders and look at her,  "Yes? My dear Tokyo." I sarcastically ask her. She gives me a glare and comes over to grab my shoulder and pull me away from the hostages and Rio. She pushes me against the wall, "What have I told you about talking to that boy?" I laugh and boop her nose, "That's none of your concern is it sis? I may be younger than you but that doesn't make you my mom." I joke.  Tokyo grabs hold of my red suit tightly and leans forward. "Like hell is does. I won't let you ruin this plan just because you're in love." I scoff and look away from her angry expression. "Whatever you say Tokyo." I salute my sister goodbye and walk away from her. *************** Meeting Rio was the best that had ever happened to me, Tokyo would always follow me whenever I would be out wether shopping or at school to see if I were with any boys. A few boys would ask me to go on dates but Tokyo would be quick and scare them away with her scary anger issues. So when I met Rio being a bit older I thought she would change. I was wrong. Rio and I would hang out alone with each other to know each other better and Tokyo would come by or stay in the distance. If things continue going like this I'll never even get married thanks to her scaring every guy I like. Berlin and her are a time bomb. They should be a couple! Our shift had ended after a long night and here I was in the bathroom unbuttoning my suit and kissing Rio's neck while I undressed myself and he did the same quickly pulling me against him and I closed my mouth shut so no one could hear us from the outside. We smiled and shared kisses as he held onto my waist and kept thrusting into me making me moan lowly and grip his shoulder tighter. This isn't how I planned on losing my virginity but who cares right? At least this bathroom is a lot better than the ones I've been in. Rio leaned over to kiss my neck and lower while I lightly scratched his back and held his hair tightly so he'd now I'm in control here. I never thought I'd fall so deeply in love with him, it reminds me on how shy we were when he met. ********** The Professor ended his first lesson and I jumped out of my seat and ignored Tokio calling to me when she saw me glancing at the second youngest in the group. I walked past her and saw the young man freeze when he saw me approaching him. "Hi!" I smiled trying to not show how nervous I was. His light brown eyes seems to lighten up when he saw me, he gave me a nice but shy smile. "Hello m-my name is An-..I mean Rio." He quickly said stuttering over his words which me giggle. I told him my name and from then we slowly would start to get each other. *********** Rio started panting and I closed my eyes shut when we finished and I tiredly rested against him and felt his hand on sweaty back. "This is not how I wanted it to be." He jokes and I chuckle. "Well we have to get used to the unexpected. Let's just enjoy each other's company before my sister comes looking for me." I told him. An hour went by and I was surprised when Tokyo didn't arrive. I tried not to worry when no hours went by and night turned to day again. Rio and I looked at each other me upset when Berlin suddenly said he kicked her out. "You bastard how could you do this?!" I said gritting my teeth and staring at the tall man who just stared at me. Berlin smirked and waved his hand, "Weren't you the one who wanted her to leave you alone? So you and your boy toy can have some fun." I leaned backs surprised by his words. The man chuckled once he saw my reaction and winked. "Do you really think I didn't heard you two. Why be with a boy when you can be with a man." Berlin stepped closer to me trying to grab my hand when Rio grabbed my sleeve and quickly pulled me back. Before things could escalate Denver, Oslo and Helsinki came running in exclaiming that Tokyo are coming back. I ran to the window and saw her driving quickly a motorcycle getting close to the bank. "Rio you ready?!" I asked loudly grabbing my Dalí mask. Rio nodded loading his gun along with Denver and Moscow. The doors opened and each began to aim at the police officers who were either trying to attack us or Tokyo. I ran out quickly shooting everywhere until I got shot and fell to the ground. Tokyo made it inside and I felt someone pulling me back in. I cursed and threw my mask and gun away when I got back in and the doors slowly closed. "Holy shit!" Rio began repeating getting nervous since he couldn't find where the bullet was shot. He opened my suit and there was no wound. "It hurts like a bitch." I cried even though I didn't get shot since I was wearing a bulletproof vest. Rio sighed relieved nothing bad happened to me. "Thank God you aren't hurt." He said beginning to cry and kissed my forehead. Tokio looked at us and ran to my side to help me up and she unexpectedly hugged me. "Don't ever risk yourself for me like that, sis." She pulled back and looked at Rio. No longer with hate. "Rio. I'm so sorry I treated you the way I did. You protected my sister and risked your life for her, thank you. I can see why my sister liked you so much." Rio and her shared a smile and looked back at me. ******* The heist was over. Moscow and Berlin unfortunately didn't make it but the rest of us did. I sat up from the hammock when I felt arms wrap around my waist. "I can't believe we made it. I promise to always protect you." Rio lovingly said and kissed me. "Okay okay stop with the kisses kids. Keep it PG for me." Tokyo joked and came by with some coconuts to drink. I laughed while Rio awkwardly looked away and drank the fruit. "Whatever you say sis. I'm glad you decided to join us." "You're still my sister I'll keep looking after you." She says wrapping her arm around me. "Didn't you say I could handle her?" Rio jokes making me laugh when Tokyo gives him a look. "Well yes but still I gotta keep an eye on what you two could do." She smirks and messes with Rio's hair. I smile to myself and I'm grateful these two finally made up.

dating denver and being part of the gang would include!
– being the second youngest as you were only two years rio. the two of you became close and you thought of him like a younger brother
– the professor was interested in you for the heist because of your knowledge on weapons, the fact you could defend yourself (you knew how to fight pretty well) and your knowledge of the human body
– you were born into a family of criminals so it wasn’t surprising when you became one too
– choosing the codename “londres” as it was a popular city and you liked the name
– initially not giving into denver’s advances towards you because you didn’t want to form emotional attachments
– thinking of moscow as a father figure especially since you’d lost your own father
– bonding with helsinki over your mutual fascination and knowledge of weapons. he was intimidating at first glance but he was a big softie when you got to know him
– slowly but surely thinking of the gang as your family
– becoming best friends with tokyo and nairobi
– breaking your rule of not having emotional attachments and falling in love with denver. you couldn’t let that sort of love pass you by
– getting married to denver a few weeks after the heist at the bank

Word count: 1.5k
Warning: swearing, angst, mention of blood
Note: hi! thank you so much! i hope this is what you meant! hope you like it, enjoy! x
------------
‘Vienna, 2 minutes out,’ you heard over your ear piece. You were part of the heist, yet your role was to be a random stranger amongst the other hostages. Every detail, every escape plan, every weapon was discussed with you in the room. El Profesor was aware of the risks only one brave hostage could bring, so you were there to keep things cool if things went sideways.
You were also Rio’s girlfriend. You two had been dating since the start of that year, when you met at a convention for technology. When you met you two hit off immediately and had been dating ever since. Little did you know you’d both be asked to do this job, unknowing of the other. But things got a little complicated when Berlin came into the view. You two had had a love affair a couple of years back, but when you parted ways you promised never to talk about it again.
You glanced around and saw your watch counting down the last minute. You were nervous, excited and a little hesitant all at the same time. You wanted to be part of the action, not sit on the floor for six days, but here you were.
When you heard loads of commotion coming towards you, you felt your heartbeat pick up. It was happening. You saw the red suits come into view and you smirked. Guns were held in the air and screams filled the entrance - the alarms loudly ringing in the background. You stepped back a little, wanting to see your boyfriend one last time before you went to the others. You saw one of them approach you and he quickly lifted his mask to kiss you one last time.
‘Promise you’ll be careful?’ you whispered against his lips. He nodded and smiled at you, placing a hand on your cheek.
‘Always, sugar.’
He pulled you away from behind the stairs but not before pulling his mask back on. You saw Berlin burn holes in your head from the side of the stairs. Was he jealous? As you focussed on your role, you trashed in his grip, playing your role as an innocent visitor. He shoved you to all the other hostages and joined Berlin and Tokio. You faked a few tears here and there and tried to mingle with the others. Some of them were crying, some of them were in complete shock and unable to do anything. You felt slightly bad about traumatising them so badly, but you knew the plan and that was to leave without harming anyone.
-
It was now a couple of hours later and you noticed they had brought out the red suits, boots and masks. Berlin did his intimidating little talk and you all got a suit. You didn’t want to change in front of him, in front of anyone for that matter. The only man you ever wanted to see your body was Rio. You were a tough girl, but changing in front of people always made you anxious. You caught Rio’s eye when he stood on the stairs, but when Berlin moved in your direction you couldn’t help but desert your attention to him. He stopped in front of you, smirk plastered on his face.
‘Change into your suit, woman,’ he dared. You hated that smirk. What you did all those years ago was a mistake and you were contstantly reminded of that night in your sleep.
‘No,’ you stated, ‘Not here.’
‘Oh, we’ve got ourselves a brave girl on board! Hear that everyone?! This one here thinks she can do whatever she pleases.’ He took his gun and pointed it directly to your stomach. Your stare hardened. Who the fuck did this man think he was?
From the corner of your eye, you saw Rio step forward but Denver quickly held him back. He whispered something in his ear and he turned around.
‘Strip. Now.’ Berlin demanded. You knew you had to, that was the worst part. Being the only one of the hostages not wanting to wear a suit and not get shot would definitely get suspicious. You angrily took of your jacket, your jeans and changed into the suit. You felt embarassed, weak and insecure. That was a dick move and he knew it.
He stepped closer to you when you were done and whispered in your ear, ‘That’s the good girl I know. It’s not like I haven’t seen it before, is it?’
You gagged at his words and he quickly disappeared up the stairs. Denver nodded at you and clapped Rio on the back. It had been such a long time since you had felt so vulnerable and for no good reason Berlin kicked you right back to that time. You had to talk to Rio. And quickly.
-
You were chosen to work in the offices and count the money. Nairobi was the supervisor. It had been more than three days since you had seen Rio and you had to talk to him. When Nairobi passed you, you dropped a wad of cash on the floor and leaned over, catching her attention.
‘I don’t feel good.. Can I please use the restroom?’ you asked her, raising your eyebrows. She nodded and grabbed you by the arm, not before threatening the other women you were working with.
‘I really need to talk to Rio. Please, Nairobi,’ you begged. She quickly nodded and went to get Rio. Pacing back and forth, you anxiously bit your nails. When the door opened, your heart dropped to the floor.
‘What did they do to you?’ you gasped, running towards him. You held his head in your hands as you inspected his face. He had a bruise on his cheek and a black eye. ‘Please tell me who did this to you, Ani.’
He looked at you through his lashes and winced when you stroked your thumb over his bruise. He looked completely broken, bags under his eyes and shrunken posture.
‘It was Berlin, wasn’t it?’ you asked. You didn’t even have to ask, you already knew. That bastard couldn’t let you go, could he? You huffed and pushed passed Rio. ‘Wait here.’
Berlin was eating when you stomped through the door. He didn’t notice you at first, but when you smacked your hand on the table, everyones attention went to you.
‘To what do I owe the pleasure, sweetheart?’ he smuggly asked.
‘You know exactly why. What the fuck were you thinking? Smashing his face in, just because you can’t let something go that happened years ago? How old are you? 10?’ you sneered. ‘If you’re jealous, just say that. But hurting someone else because you can’t talk about your feelings is fucking ridiculous.’
The room fell silent, your speech even silencing Denver. They didn’t know you had met before the heist and especially about your relationship. You saw his tough façade fade as his eyes flickered from your furious face to the sandwich he was eating. He knew it was wrong and he regret it the moment he saw how broken Rio was. The young adult was terrified and it made him realise he had turned into the man he promised not to be anymore.
‘You seriously don’t have anything to say about this?’ you huffed. ‘You haven’t changed a fucking bit, Andrès. Stay the fuck away from me and Rio or you’ll end up just like him.’
When you left, Berlin felt humiliated. Not that you’d called him out like that, but humiliated to have let his anger take over his common sense. You had every right to respond the way you did, he would have done the same for you. Why did he feel so jealous? He was the one who broke things off, not you. He’d thrown you away like many of his other treasures, yet he couldn’t let you go. Rio was way better for you. He treated you like a princess, talked to you about his feelings and could give you a much better life than he could have given you.
‘So, wanna explain what the fuck just happened?’ Denver carefully asked. Berlin cracked his knuckled and took a sharp breath. They weren’t supposed to know and frankly, it was none of their business either. So he shoved his chair back and went looking for the both of you. The least you deserved was an apology.
‘- a dick.. he won’t do it again, I’ll make sure of that,’ he heard you say soflty. Rio hissed when you wiped away a small drop of blood just under his eye and you remorsefully sighed. ‘I’m sorry, I should have told you.’
‘No, I’m the one who should apologise,’ Berlin stated, stepping into the room. He could see Rio flinch and your stare harden. ‘I’m sorry. I let my anger cloud my reality and I snapped. There was a point where I was you Rio and I regret to this day that I let her go. I got jealous because I realised she was everything that I needed and more, but I saw that too late. I was immature and for that I want to apologise.’
Your eyes softened and you thankfully nodded at him. You turned your attention to Rio who held out his hand to Berlin. Berlin took it and shook his hand firmly.
‘Don’t let her go, Rio. She’s too precious for that.’
