We got special agent Rod Serling entering the fray, and the Cthonaut intervening between Melrose and Dean. That ending was freaking based.
Yeah, he earned the title Dean the Devil in that universe. He shouldn't have blamed Melrose for his sister's death.
I did like the meta nod to Melrose and Dean being the sources of tragedy and comedy in the series.
My previous theory might have gotten close. We saw the return of "Grief can make you a monster", which is tied to the D-Day Knight.

Explaining Internet Horror in 3 Sentences or Less (spoilers!)
Marble Hornets - The OG, King of Internet Horror IMO. The Operator is not Slendy, he just suspiciously looks like Slendy.
EverymanHYBRID - You thought one ageless eldritch horror was rough? IMAGINE THREE.
Mandela Catalogue - Please, please don't turn on the TV (the TV aliens might get you!!!!). Also, JONAH DESERVED BETTER.
Walten Files - Consistent headphone warning, but it works!
Gilbert Garfield - Garfield the cat, experimentation, Egypt, Italy, and aliens.
SCP Foundation - THE LORE!! IT WILL BE ONGOING!!! NEVERENDING!!!
Welcome Home - Immediate tumblr favorite, godly artwork.
Chimpy Chippa's - Australia's only contribution to internet horror, with an exceptional budget.
Monument Mythos - The statues cannot be trusted.
Liminal Land - Summer vacation gone HORRIBLY WRONG.
Boisvert - Triangle man makes fun of you for not going outside. Memes and music are a crucial lore detail. (but is there lore? What is lore?)

Ok so I’ve got some Monument Mythos thoughts that I want to dump on someone. I have a theory about the “more perfect union” that mostly has to do with what it represents within the story. I might delete this post later. If it for some reason blows up, I won’t, but for now it’s just ramblings. SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!_______________________________________________
So at the end (so far) of the series, we see Everett, Freedom, and the Angel fuse into a single being referred to as “a more perfect union”. This being defeats the Martian serpent thus saving the Earth and then it becomes the Manticorn constellation. I think that there’s more to come from this constellation in the future but aside from that I have an idea about what the union represents. Monument Mythos focuses largely on American ideas and places as a sort of parody and one factor of this is its Christian religious references. The obvious one is the Angel being titled that as well as America using the twisted image of Christ on the cross to just fucking bomb a place and then act all love and peace about it. It also refers to James Dean as a devil, specifically THE devil but I don’t think he’s meant to literally be Satan, just an evil person. Instead, I think the actual devil in this case are the serpents. Satan is famously associated with serpents and with the destructive, Earth/universe ending power ascribed to the serpents in the story (The George Washington serpent hatching from the earth and destroying the universe and then later when the universe is reformed by the Angel, the Martian serpent comes to destroy earth after being disturbed by Elon Musk mining through Mars) This is all important because I think the reason Everett, Freedom, and the Angel came together to defeat the Martian serpent is because they represent God. The Father is represented by the statue of Freedom who contains the souls of a father and daughter. Also, she was created first which lines up with the order that the three parts of god were created.
The second to exist is the Angel who I believe represents the Holy Spirit. The Angel is made up of the consciousnesses, or the spirits, of 17 soldiers. This differs from Freedom containing the father and daughter because the statue acts as their body, where the Angel is only comprised of the consciousnesses. Also, the Holy Spirit is meant to be a guide and protector which is often the role the Angel takes. In early episodes it tries to warn people through graffiti that the monuments are not what they seem and when the horned serpent initially destroys the Dean universe, it’s the Angel who divides itself to protect humanity.
Everett then, is the Son. He is after all, the son of Virginia which is incredibly important to his character. Also *Virgin*ia and *Virgin* Mary are kinda similar. I don’t exactly think that Virginia was impregnated by some other force or whatever, although at this point I wouldn’t be surprised. I just thought it was an interesting comparison. Anyways, yeah I think that those three figures joining together represents the the father, the Holy Spirit, and the son all coming together and becoming god and basically sort of defeating Satan (for now at least since there is still the horned serpent and the third one which is likely still in Venus). I don’t believe that these characters are exactly their Christian counterparts or whatever, I just think narratively it’s a fun idea and it fits with the other mentions and twisting of religion that the series often indulges in.

So I’ve just finished watching monument mythos and I want to take the time to try to detail what I think the overall story is and what I have no clue about, before I go rewatch wendigoons first video on it then watch his second video on it.
Spoilers
Ok, so, there were originally two gods, the serpent and the tree. The serpent goes on to create the universe and lays the world eggs, god eggs and plant ant animal eggs creating more trees and serpents.
The god of chaos is killed by Giza lightning, decapitating her, and three baby serpents use her head to trick humans to make what is essentially a prototype to freedom, to kill other gods, and then trick the gods into empowering them before having the statue kill them.
Two of the serpents die then one goes on to become the martian serpent.
Next is the beginning of what I’m not sure about.
Somehow despite not yet having a serpents, earth goes on to have a wonderland structure which George Washington goes on to enter, he climbs the trees and elongates until he becomes the horned serpent? Maybe?
The events of season one and two take place and the earth is destroyed by the horned serpent hatching?
Cthonaut a somehow becomes like Nikson in the niksonverse story and talks the angel into dividing themselves into their individual particles, spreading throughout the past and future, making their past self ask freedom for death, resulting in them becoming one of the floating head things.
The stuff with James dean and melrose happens? Have no idea how that fits in.
Elon musk goes to mars, still fucks twitter, and awakens the Martian serpent
Everatt is freed from the earth wonderland structure by a memory of his mother in wonderland.
He knows about the Martian wonderland and wishes to destroy it so no one suffers like he did.
He reasons with the spirits in freedom and fuses with freedom and the angels head, becomes a new angel and kills the Martian serpent and becomes mr manticore?
I have no clue what even happened and am probably going to have to rewatch the entire thing a few times and watch wendigoons videos to understand.

Alright so I've been introduced to and have recently finished watching the Monument Mythos youtube series which is absolutely great and I recommend it to anyone who may be a fan of weird multiverse shit, body horror probably and horror that just barely also counts as shitposting, (however if I remember correctly the series makes use of flashing lights and shakey screens with no trigger warning so watch at your own risk) but I have a lore question (+ theory?) for those who have seen the season 3 finale so spoilers below cut
So at the end we see the Mr Manticore constellation and it's made of the 'good people' of the series ; the face bit has a star for every man that formed the Angel, there are three that represent Thomas, Nina and Freedom, and the last star is for Everett Arnoldson.
Tumblr media
Is this because there's an extra star commemorating the Angel itself post death ray? Kinda how Freedom gets her own star, tho this could be because the statues all seem to have their own mind and therefore her sentience isn't a result of Thomas and Nina being put inside of her a la fnaf and other indie horrors.
(Sidenote writing this at night and having to see that constellation over the black screen with no other music or anything only showed me how scary that face bit is like my god I really hate looking at it like tbis for some reason)
However I got curious and counted the stars that represent the men. The Angel is formed of 17 unknown soldiers, but I counted 18 stars.
Anyway I just wanted to throw this out and include myself in the community a little bit. Still haven't watched the Ningen videos yet so maybe they'll have an answer. Can't wait for season 4!
Does the Angel really count as a seperate entity from the men like Freedom is from Thomas and Nina? Because it doesn't seem to be the case since when they talk to Cthnaut A, their voice is an amalgamation of voices.
Or maybe the 18th star represents Cthnaut A himself, leaving a small reminder of himself before he leaves this unisverse?
Or maybe it's just a small mistake that I'm looking into way too hard because I want to be involved in finding some bit of lore in one of the many lore based series' that I love and cherish.
