Hi hello I would like to know about your silly Jekyll and Hyde adaptation👉👈

OK so it's set in a universe that is literally a musical! the characters all sing and dance and yes it's real music in-universe. it's kind of more like a spoof of jekyll and hyde adaptations so the characters are younger than their book counterparts but it's ok they're more autistic and more gay to make up for that. also set in the modern day.

So this Henry Jekyll is a chemistry teacher slash researcher and he plays the accordion and is a sunshine boy but WATCH OUT he's created a potion that turns you to your """dark side""" and when he tries it on himself he becomes shadow the hedgehog Edward Hyde (number one edgelord of ever). he's trans and bi. he's also spanish because fuck it. Hyde's appearance and behavior become more animalistic the fuller the moon is.

his bestie Gabrielle Utterson is cartoon-boring (really likes paperwork and her favorite food is plain bread) and she's a divorce lawyer but her dream is to be a detective and also maybe to romance a sexy brooding goth monster. she's soooooo angel themed you have no idea, also she thinks she's ugly but she isnt. Henry has a crush on her (it's mutual) (they're both idiots so they don't confess). his best frenemy is Hastie Lanyon who is a Texan cowboy in here because I'm not happy with just one texan cowboy in gothic literature (sorry Quincy Morris) he's also Japanese American and non-binary and walk walk fashion baby.

the story is overall more lighthearted with Hyde being a morally gray antihero at most (who doesnt kill. yet.) and after it ends they all date each other (diversity win this poly trio is t4t4t!) enfield is there also ig. shes a girl too but she dates no one because we need more loser girl rep.

so anyway Henry teaches at a special high school for super talented teenagers and his students are like. Victoria Frankenstein (also a girl tee hee) Herbert West uuuuh Carmilla and stuff. the headmaster is van helsing who has a doctorate in German literature in here and anyway eventually hyde starts killing monster hunters in self defense and after a few shenanigans Jekyll's fucked up experiment and shapeshifting thing are discovered and made public and. hes like. oh fuck. until van helsing reveals to him he's the director of EROS (extraordinary research organization society) which is like the MIB of this universe and their job is to make sure monsters dont hurt people, mostly through non-violent means. and that the school was a front for it. so he offers him a job as the head of scientific research all like "if you work for us we will keep you out of legal trouble for anything you do" and hes like uuuh fine by me lol.

it's very disjointed and I still have to like hone it but yeah that's it mostly.

So I was just talking to a fellow theater kid who doesnt go to my school, and apparently his school doesnt do Denny's Weddings or have a Theater Family Tree?

like he had some of the usual theater stuff, like going to Denny's after every closing night (but not having a wedding?), and all of the superstitions, but apparently had never even heard of a Denny's wedding or even the general concept of an absurd theater family tree?

Like fellow high school theater kids (or former highschool theater kids) can you guys confirm to me whether of not you did this?

for context to any of the heathens who know not what I speak of a theater family tree is a pretend family tree you all refer to each other by and act in accordance with, with the family roles based around 1) familial relations of the characters they played 2) random in jokes that became cannon 3) the director and stage director being our dads 4) the theater dates, engagements, and alopes, and 5) the dennys weddings (for a bit of context as to how weird this can get my father is my ex lover, my mother is Barak Obama, I am 5 years old and a minor eldritch god, my adopted sibling is also my ex fiance and I am married to my brother in law. I am also married to the same person 9 times, though she is also engaged to 90% of the cast)

the Dennys wedding is where, at the biannual Dennys party after the final show, you marry two cast members and two tech members who have been appointed by common consensus of the cast. people are selected for this rare and beautiful opportunity based on 1) if we think it was funny 2) how prominant their roles were 3) how funny their characters were 4) whether we think their characters were queercoded enough 5) whether they are already theater engaged. also I guess I should mention I think this part is specific to us but we have somebody to officiate the wedding, a best man/woman, a flowergirl, and a moon sacrifice (though the sacrifice is optional, we do it to appease the moon in case we worry we may have upset it earlier and require its forgiveness)(not doing so can lead to horrible catastrophies and bad luck)(we only really do it if somebody said the name that must not be spoken inside the theater or any similar acts of superstition).

for a bit of context for the theater dating/engaged/aloped/married ig basicaly members of the cast will have entirely platonic relationships with each other as jokes over the course of the performances. if you want to get married but were not selected for a dennys wedding you may alope where you will be counted as married in the family tree but will not recieve a ceremony. people who have eloped may also later recieve a official wedding

Ulysses Dies At Dawn is their second main album, and one of my favorites. this one is greek mythology. it follows along ulysses and the suits. ulysses is referred to with they/them. the concept of this album is really, really fucking cool but i cant summarize it well

High Noon Over Camelot is their third of their mains and one of my favorites. this one is arthurian legend. its like a western. arthur/lancelot/guinevere cowboy polycule. mordred is trans. galahad did nothing wrong. literally every song is a banger (<- he says that about every album)

The Bifrost Incident, the fourth and final of their proper storyline albums. this one is also one of my favorites. its norse myth, and tells of old lady odin building a train (the ratatosk express) to go through the bifrost to cut travel between planets time from three months to three days. unfortunately, the train, with all high-ranking asgardians on it, doesnt come out the other side. lyfrassir edda my beloved. loki and sigyn are space wives.

mirrors make a place look bigger than it really is - i feel like sangyeon has that ability to make you feel like you’re more important on your worst days

the things he’ll do just to make sure you’re alright, even when he knows you’re not

he also has the ability to reflect what you need: sad? he’ll come and hug you and let you cry or talk about your shitty day. happy? he’ll joke about the way you snort while laughing then he’d probably do something dumb to keep the energy up there

mirrors also feel very private and at-home, and that exactly how i feel he curates an environment

pillows are self-explanatory ig, smth to cry into, smth to fall asleep with while hugging, has the best homely scents ever, very comfortable

i imagine going home after a long day and finding your partner also tired, but he’s cooking or like in the couch watching tv and he just invites you into his arms uwu

ok like jacob with a guitar is just a stellar sight to behold, he looks like he was born to hold one, and his vocals are super underrated imo, most of tbz’s discography doesnt really suit his voice - i really wish he had a chance to have more lines in more ballads or maybe even a solo thing

he would drag you out to go on walks after he knows you’ve buried yourself in your work the whole day, and he’d be the kind to stop at a pretty flower and contemplate plucking it but he wouldn’t cause he’s a fairy and wouldn’t hurt a fly, much less a pretty flower

YOUNGHOON - WINTER COATS AND COFFEE AND PASTRIES

he definitely radiates tsundere vibes on first sight, but when you get to know him, he’s obviously the opposite: a crybaby

but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t keep up his model-like appearances when he’s outside - in fact, he’d be the one to influence you into caring more about how you look (of course not materialistically, but more into actually caring about making yourself feel good with your fashion and appearance)

i chose winter coats as a symbol of coverage - he doesn’t show much of himself unless he’s close to you (like when you wear winter coats to keep warm, he’s a burrito because he doesn’t bother too much about sharing his feelings), but when he does, it feels like he has the ability to keep you warm and comfortable, even on the coldest days, even if his inner savage comes out

it’ll be like he scooped you into his coat and has you warm in one of this inner breast pockets

i see him as the kind to get regular coffee and like, a tart or something, at a cafe. it adds on to the warmth, when he remembers what you like. the details. maybe you like your coffee with cinnamon or less sugar or something, but then he tops it up with a muffin and he knows you like it heated up so he specifically asks for them to do so

ok but he’s defo the kind of guy that catches people’s attention at public spaces so every now and then when he’s laughing or smiling, some girl would gawk at him and he would be embarrassed about it, but lucky for you, you’re already wearing matching coats so they know the man’s taken uwu

HYUNJAE - CONCERTS AND CONVENIENCE STORE DATES

classy but calm. dream-like but realistic. 

i say concerts as in the instrumental, ballad kinds. he loves it and he knows you probably need the sleep where you have that kind of background white noise/music that provides you the best quality of sleep there is. but when you’re not dosing off, he’s admiring how much time you’re willing to invest into being at something he loves

of course, in turn, he doesn’t complain much when you’re hungry and you meet him down the street at the nearest convenience store for some instant noodles and potato chips with a coke and he lets you ramble about your day 

he would probably buy you an ice cream just so you’d feel better, then regret it when you get a stomachache later cause it was like 2am in the morning

you probably have like 5 of his hoodies at home that you refuse to wash cause his scent is tainted all over it and the only time he gets to take them home is when he stays over or visits and he sneaks one into his bag when you’re in the kitchen making tea or a bowl of noodles

then you’ll get it back without even knowing it was gone

the kind that would probably surprise you after a day of work with a casual date idea to the movies, and i mean showing up at your place, impromptu, after he knows you’re home with two tickets

basically they sort it out as a haha oops my bad… but then the three of them talk around the campfire and sokka starts to make one of the carvings he always makes for yue and then he makes another and gives it to suki and suki and yue are REALLY getting along and the three of them sit under the moonlight and yue brings up that she saw suki in a vision and sokka goes oh and suki goes really?

they realize they all definitley like each other, but suki has to go back to the rest of the kyoshi warriors and they kiss and yue takes sukis hands and promises her she will find her again and theyll see where the go from there and gives her the carving sokka made for her and suki gives yue the carving sokka made for her and its very much an if we make it out well see where we go from there

azula has no idea who yue is because the nwt princess not being in the nwt is a tiny bit of a secret bc the nwt decided they didnt want it to be known that yue wasnt safe and azula sees her spirit bend and is ???? another avatar??

sokka makes yue a cool meteroite knife while hes making the sword and she loves it and immediatly starts target practice

yue and katara both go with hama in the puppetmaster and its actually a redemption episode and yue shares a message from tui with hama and hama thanks them both and decides to go to the swt 

yue goes on the boiling rock trip and eyes zuko from the other side of the balloon and he asks o uh how are you alive? yue: i gave back the moon spirit and then the moon came back and then i became a vessel for tui and i got spiritbending. sokka: ur so cool

Also she laughs at like literally everything, so shes ALWAYS smiling. Shes super random, shell like randomly break out into song in the middle of the mall (THAT WAS ONLY LIKE 1 TIME DJDJ) or start dancing in the middle of an empty parking lot when its raining, also whenever an atmosphere gets too quiet or uncomfortable she’ll scream something off the top of her head. Mostly she’s a complete sweetheart tho. Like her family high-key sucks and never made her feel loved or comfortable with showing emotions straightforwardly so she mostly does it in subtle ways (like physical affection, gifts, acts of service, etc.) Shes insecure tho, and she wants to make sure you know she loves you, so she’ll try really hard to tell you through words sometimes. That always results in her stumbling over her words or stuttering or rambling (plus a very cute red face, i may be a very gay man but i still recognize a cutie pie when i see one.) And then she gets all flustered and starts apologizing and you kinda have to just let her know that hey, its okay, i know you tried and i understood, or itll never end. Also shes like a complete romantic. Like she helped my brother plan his wedding cuz she knew him and his fiance and she just lOVED IT and kept getting this big ole smile on her face whenever she saw them do something romantic (she always goes “awwwww” when she sees little kids running around holding hands or old couples being sweet.) Shes also like the most accepting person ever, like regardless of your sexuality or gender or race or religion, she doesnt care, she just sees you as human, which is refreshing. Her hobbies are basically anything involving art (she especially likes to sing and draw, her voice sounds like a literal angel) also she’s huge bookworm (especially dystopian fiction, she lives for that crap), and music is essentially her entire life.
